Can you please do headcanons with an MC who's secretly a witch hunter and takes advantage of the exchange program to kill witches on their bounty list or whatever? If it's possible can it be everyone including the undatables and my our son Luke?
this is such a cool concept omg??? sign me up!
enjoy <3
Witch Hunter Mc
Lucifer
honestly, he doesn’t care
as long as it doesn’t interfere with your schoolwork and you don’t bring the problems home
you can continue witch hunting happily
Mammon
he is literally over the moon!
you can help him get out of debt by just taking care of the witches for him
although just make sure to let him know you don’t work for free either haha
Levi
at first he doesn’t care much about you since he didn’t think he’d even properly get to know you
but once you tell him, he thinks you’re pretty cool since that’s something right out of a manga
he makes sure to show you which ones you remind him most of!
Satan
he makes sure to give you any useful literature he finds
after you get back, he always asks you how things went
if you never need to unwind, he’s got cuddles and a relaxing evening just for you
Asmo
he thinks it’s incredibly hot
it’s asmo, after all
he might beg to join you once or twice. it’s up to you if you’d like to indulge him or not haha
Beel
he always makes sure you’ve eaten at least somethijg before you head off
it’s hard to focus on an empty stomach and he knows it
he always waits up for you if things go late, and heads to bed at the same time as you
Belphie
as usual, he could care less
however, he always gives you wishes to be safe and return home in one piece
he’s not sure what he’d do without you
Diavolo
he’s probably the most tentative about your occupation
his whole goal is to unite the three realms
but after you explain it to him, and he leans you’re only taking down the ones who’d done bad, he gives you the green light
Barbatos
since it’s barbatos, he saw this coming
also long as what you do doesn’t interfere with the agenda of his prince, he’s alright with you doing whatever you please
would even be more than willing to help you out if you promised him favors to use in the future
Simeon
if you ever get injured, he’s one of the ones you want to go to
he’ll patch you up, judgment free
he knows it’s just part of the occupation, but everytime he sends you off, he gives you a forehead kiss and asks you to be safe <3
Luke
he’s so scared for you
he’s grown to love you so much and would be very upset if something happened to you since that line of work is dangerously
he gives you a blessed charm to carry with you in order to protect and give you good luck <3
Solomon
he’s not entirely sure how to feel
he knows some very lovely witches, but understands you’re probably hunting the not so nice ones
if he ever has any leads, he’ll be sure to share them with you
Mephisto
he’s not stupid but the idea that that job makes him think
he didn’t even know it was an occupation until you told him about it
he will pretend he doesn’t care but then send you a cute care package from anonymous but branded with his family crest
Thirteen
she lets you know if you ever need help, she might be the one you could go to
it was be an excellent way to test her traps and put them to good use
if you have any ideas, she’d be willing to hear you out and bring them to life
Raphael
he draws one main thing away from the interaction
humans are confusing!
however if you ever need him as backup, he won’t hesitate

Brandish redesign!!
+preliminary sketches and some headcanon stuff under the cut!
My version of Brandish is half human and half celestial spirit. I have no idea if that’s possible, but I think it would be an interesting concept to explore, so here we are. Her father was a spirit, I don’t really care who and I don’t think it matters, and her mother was a human who died in childbirth because giving birth to a spirit is kind of an ordeal. Brandish was born in the human realm but had trouble fitting in because of her immense magic power, and because being unable to live in the spirit realm makes her prone to sickness. She doesn’t have a gate to be closed, but she has the same problem Leo did when he was trapped in the human realm, and she’s keeping herself alive with her magic power, like how she keeps Natsu alive in the anime. (If you shrink your problems away it’s almost like they’re not there!!) This overuse of power makes her very tired and unmotivated, and she prefers not to fight if necessary. She’s a smooth talker but can become easily angered. She’s good friends with Dimaria and Wall and balances out their power-hungry war-ready attitudes.
Brandish’s conflict with Lucy stems from how she thinks celestial spirits shouldn’t be used to help people fight and should instead live their own lives in the spirit realm away from humans. Ultimately, her whole thing boils down to: she should not exist, it’s painful for her to exist, and so she resents the relationships humans and spirits have because she believes they can cause nothing but pain. It’s very single-minded of her, but she’s spent her whole life feeling out of place, so it’s really all she can believe. Lucy helps convince her otherwise by showing her the strong bonds she and her spirits have, and Brandish decides to quit the war halfway through to travel to the spirit realm with Lucy’s spirits and live happily ever after, and maybe reconnect with her dad.
Here are some of the initial sketches I did to try and figure out what I wanted for her design—this is super rough stuff with only highlighter and pen:
I wanted her silhouette to be similar to her original design’s, but for her to be wearing something that looks a little more comfortable/movable because she’s too lazy to be wearing chains all the time, come on. I figured one piece underneath everything made sense so she doesn’t even have to change clothes entirely to change up her look! Peak exhausted behavior.
Once I had an okay idea for what I wanted her outfit to be, I copied some manga panels I like in my style with the new outfit, and then freestyled some more doodles to understand her personality a little more.
This was my almost-finalized design that I did in the car one day waiting for my college classes to start where everything became a lot baggier and comfier-looking. For the record, I think the piece under her jacket and pants is more like a leotard than a corset so it has a lot of movement. Adding the tail happened on a whim in my final pieces because I wanted something else to show that she isn’t human besides just the horns.
That’s all, I think!! If you read this far, thank you so much! Who knew I had a lot to say!! I thought about this one a lot!! I’ve been working on it for months!! Very proud of it, though. This is the first time I’ve ever shown my process like this, so if you feel so inclined, let me know if you thought it was neat. Okay bye!!
#I’ve really grown to like her more these past few months….. I was never a brandish fan but now I’m like woah… brandish… she’s pretty neat…#brandish myu#fairy tail#spriggan 12#my art#all that jazz#teehee brandish lore#i get closer and closer to rewriting the alvarez arc every single day

I'm not sure if you've answered this question before but what were some of the things that made you interested in Lore Olympus in the past and at what point did you lose interest?
I adored the art in the beginning, and just like, the really warm-feeling romance that just had me feeling so giddy reading it. There were some red flags in the beginning like the age gap, but I kinda fell for the same mindset of "well they're gods so what does it matter" (obviously I can't in good faith use that argument anymore because if the age gap didn't matter then it either wouldn't exist or wouldn't be brought up in the first place lmao but it took me a while to realize that).
Now, to be fair, LO was also one of my first introductions to webtoons as a format, prior to that I had read mostly manga and left-to-right indie webcomics (i.e. comics that were hosted on their own site) and I was still in the early years of my own development as a writer and artist (I still feel like I'm early in that development tbh) so of course there were undoubtedly a lot of obvious flaws that went over my head (and I was younger and inexperienced so I wasn't as critical of what media I was watching / reading as I am now) but that's been half the fun of catching them now - it's given me a lot more perspective and helped me hone my own skills in my writing by analyzing what's wrong with LO and brainstorming on how those problems can be avoided.
But then there was the Act of Wrath plotline and I was completely sold on it being gold. Anyone who's read my original work knows how much of a SUCKER I am for "dark alter ego" plotlines, I eat that shit up like junk food. But what I like about the dark alter ego tropes is when they're used to explore the subconscious, question one's morals and true identity, etc. That was what I was hoping for and expecting with the AoW plotline in LO - that her "dark self" was gonna be a reflection of how she felt "held back" by her circumstances in the Mortal Realm, and her wrath being something she could use for retribution (in a "do no harm but take no shit" kinda way). Especially with how naive and innocent she was in the beginning, I loved the idea of her slowly coming to terms with her "darker" side and learning not to suppress her emotions until they had nowhere else to go and exploded (which was how I interpreted the AoW).
So when it didn't do that, or even explore an ounce of nuance regarding her relationship with her wrath, I was very disappointed to say the least. When Eris was revealed to be the one who "blessed" her with wrath, that was when the rose colored glasses started to fall off and I realized "wait, does Rachel not have an actual plan for this whole Kore vs. Persephone thing???" And now her wrath is literally just there to... give her the power to bully people?? It just feels so disheartening to see such potential squandered.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna chastise a story if it doesn't go exactly where I want it to go, there would be no fun in that anyways (and that's what fanfiction is for lmao). But when a story is leaving very interesting but connectable breadcrumbs that are VERY clearly leading you somewhere and then just... doesn't, that's when it's disappointing and unsatisfying. LO feels like a "creator vs. the reader" story in the worst way possible, where it's constantly leaving breadcrumbs, getting pissed when the audience "figures it out", so then it overcorrects and tries to "subvert" itself to keep the readers "on their toes"... but the problem is that all it really does is punish the readers for paying attention and investing themselves in the story by giving them a worse story. It's like Rachel's getting mad at people for figuring out a story that she's writing and hinting towards.
And this has been going on for YEARS now, it's like a Shepard tone where it sounds like it keeps getting higher and higher in pitch but then doesn't actually resolve so your brain is just scrambling trying to figure out what in the world it could be "building up to".
youtube
There's nothing. It's not building up to anything. It's just constantly putting down new plot threads that are slightly altered versions of previous plot threads and expecting you to keep following along while it makes a mess of itself. It feels like you're going somewhere but you're actually still just running in place. It's just Rachel never learning how to progress past the middle school writing level of "and then this happened and then this happened and then this happened". Not only is it disorganized writing, but it's just... it's so boring. Nothing's exciting or interesting anymore when it keeps distracting itself with shiny new plotlines and characters that never get resolved.
It's like when you were a kid and thought "man , when I grow up, I'm gonna eat nothing but chocolate cake and ice cream every day forever!" and then you get older and you realize you were being silly because eating nothing but chocolate cake and ice cream every day 1.) isn't good for you and doesn't feel good, and 2.) the appeal and novelty of it wears off if you can have it any time you want, it doesn't feel as special anymore as it did when you were a kid and having those things was a treat.
To compare this back to LO, none of its "reveals" feel like treats anymore, they feel like just another half-assed attempt to keep people interested. It's clickbait.
And don't get me wrong, you CAN totally subvert the breadcrumbs you put down for your audience and go in a completely different direction than where the audience was expecting, but it takes a shitload of skill and thought to do it well. Attack on Titan is one of the best recent examples of a story appearing to completely throw out its original script halfway through, only for that script to actually still be relevant in a very complex and thought out way. Especially when there ARE hints towards the big "twist" that make you go back and rewatch it and realize "WAIT, THEY'VE BEEN GIVING US THE ANSWERS ALL THIS TIME?!?!"
youtube
(it would be TWO MORE FUCKING SEASONS before this ending would make sense, that's fucking GENIUS foreshadowing and in the CREDITS SEQUENCE LIKE ?? IT'S SO BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT HOLY SHIT-)
Evidently Rachel does not have that skill and is not willing to put in that thought; maybe she could some day, but I don't think she's learning it on the job as well as she thinks she is.
And it's disappointing as fuck because it could have been so much better than this. Rachel is literally the only one getting in her own way of LO being something truly great.

who fell first, who fell harder (brothers)
based on the og game, lesson 16+ spoilers
masterlist | more drabbles/hcs | dateables edition
luci
this might be unpopular but he did both
it just took him forever to realize bc he was too caught up in making sure mc didn’t get themselves killed
always went easy on them whenever they got in trouble
pushed his pride to the side *shockingly* whenever they got hurt
would be one of the first to help them whenever they needed anything and gave in to everything they asked for with no prompting
realized how down bad he was after they studied together one night, he fell asleep at his desk and they brought a blanket over and put a pillow under his head so he'd be more comfortable
woke up with hot coffee, breakfast, and a note telling him to take better care of himself with the bed half made, he realized mc stayed in the room with him the whole night
connected the dots right before he made a pact with them in lesson 20 (?) and confessed to them after they [redacted]
mc always saw through his stuck up act, sympathized with him once they realized he genuinely cared about their well being
started spending more time with him after the lesson 16 incident
he forbade them from going to school until they fully recovered from everything that happened, insisted on walking them to school every day
the stereotypical kdrama tripping and falling into the person's arms while they walked to school
they confessed after the whole pact situation right before they left the devildom
mams
we all know he did both like let's be fr
"first man"
i love him sm y'all dont understand
every time he needed help, he'd go to them
every time he was feeling insecure, he'd go to them
he noticed little changes in their demeanor and always did his best to cheer them up if something was wrong
not exactly a love at first sight thing, but real close to it
quite literally broke down in their arms the day before they left the devildom
all his brothers picked up on it and teased him relentlessly, he had to talk to lucifer to even build up the courage to confess
and even then it took him until the night before they left
mc was oblivious as hell to his feelings which is crazy bc he did nothing to hide them
they saw through his tsundere act and warmed up to him the fastest
honestly they fell not long after he did but they didn't wanna say anything out of fear of ruining their friendship
the lesson 16 incident shook him up so badly that he clung to them for weeks after it, he didn't let belphie anywhere near them even after apologizing
yelled at the brothers whenever they talked shit and called him names, they almost always went too far and it always got to him
after they went back to the human realm, he skipped class and dealt with being strung up by luci just to see them
levi
levi fell first, mc fell harder
HEAR ME OUT
he'd invite them over to game with him and watch anime at ungodly hours of the night
they're awful at videogames so he'd let them win just to see them get all excited
don't tell his brothers that though
when they slept over, they made sure he got out of his habit of oversleeping so he could avoid lectures
helped him with his anxiety since they also dealt with it
with mc, they empathized with his anxiety/depression and spent as much time with him as possible whenever he had his episodes
saw how much he cared for his brothers and his pet(s) and, eventually, how much he cared about them
they opened up to him about their insecurities and he did his best to reassure and relate to them so they felt less alone
they confessed to him first bc of mammon's encouragement, he knew his brother wouldn't be able to do it without prompting
they did it a few weeks before they left the devildom so they'd have time together
after the lesson 16 incident, he'd always go to their room with manga or a console to try to take their mind off of what happened
every time they went out together, he'd be in his demon form and have his tail wrapped around either their ankle or their wrist/hand subconsciously
satan
satan fell first, mc fell harder
again, hear me out
the first thing he noticed about their interactions with him was their lack of fear
they were so much less powerful and more fragile in comparison to him, but that didn't deter them from wanting to get close to him
in true tsundere fashion, he tried pushing them away once he realized his feelings
that didn't work and they tried spending more time with him to see why he started acting weird
THEN they ended up falling for him
how he acted like he didn't care for his brothers but went out if his way to make sure they were ok
how he was able to be vulnerable with them about his insecurities and self hatred bc of his birth
how they got to see his soft side with belphie and cats
his reaction to the lesson 16 incident also pushed them over the edge
his entire angry demeanor crumbled, he always had new book recs and brought them cats when he had to go to school si they wouldn't be alone
they confessed first, but it was right before they left bc they were too scared of rejection
asmo
mc fell first, asmo fell harder
mc never fell for his "me, me, me" attitude and got him to open up easily
they found themself gravitating towards his room whenever they needed a pick me up, he'd always be down to give them a spa day
despite his sin, he never overstepped with the sexual jokes and advances
it starred off as a tiny crush, but mc realized it was more than that after a really bad day for asmo, they got to take care of him the way he took care of them
asmo was head over heels after that, never left their side
he stopped trying to act like he wasn't insecure about his position in the devildom or his looks, he was more comfortable opening up about his struggles
even tho mc fell first, asmo confessed like a month before they had to leave the devildom
the lesson 16 incident had him clinging to them 100 times more than he had before, lucifer had to pry him away from them so he could go to school
the day they left the devildom was full of tears
beel
mc fell first, beel fell harder
he has such a big heart and he's trusting of everyone, his openness helped mc become more comfortable around him
he only gets angry in regards to his sin or his family, and he considered mc family very early on
they'd start packing extra snacks in their bookbag when they knew they had classes with him, and id they weren't in school, they'd have them in their pockets
after a really stressful day, mc went to beel for consolation, and he dragged them to the kitchen after wrapping them up in one of belphies weighted blankets to try and fix them a beel-sized meal to make them feel better
seeing how easily he'd drop everything to make sure they were ok
seeing how gentle he was with them despite his size and strength
seeing how happy he looked when talking about his family
him allowing himself to be vulnerable about belphie and lilith
all of it boiled over when he cooked for them, they confessed on the spot
he was caught off guard, but realized after some thinking that he felt the same and didn't realize it
they moved slowly, and while beel navigated his feelings for them, he realized how much he cared about them
giving them extra servings when it was his turn to cook, and when it wasnt, he'd slide some of his food onto their plate
going to their room to talk if he had a nightmare about the celestial war
asking satan and luci what the best ways to deal with anxiety were
making sure they drank enough water
and after the lesson 16 incident, his feelings were all over the place
he was angry at himself, angry at lucifer, angry at belphie, but never angry at mc
he didn't want to be angry with belphie, but once mc (reluctantly) forgave him, he and belphies relationship was fixed
they spent their last days in the devildom together going to all of his favorite restaurants and food trucks
belphie
belphie did both.
he hated the human. he hated all humans. he had to, for lilith.
he manipulated them, lied to them, betrayed their trust, he KILLED them
so why did he feel so guilty about it?
why did he find himself gravitating towards their room every day before school, waking up early just to peek through the crack in their door to see how they were doing, disobeying lucifer's direct orders?
why did every flinch of theirs leave him with a gaping hole in his chest?
no matter how many times he apologized, he never felt like he truly deserved forgiveness
but they were so kind, so understanding, so infuriatingly sweet to him despite everything he did
he loved them, and he do everything in his power to show it, even if they never felt the same
mc saw how much he was hurting, they saw how much his actions affected him, how he was trying to be a better person
the brothers would understand if they never forgave him, but why did they feel inclined to?
they were never really asleep when he snuck by their room to check on them, he had to have known that
his brothers spoiled him the way he spoiled them
after learning to navigate their friendship, mc realized what they felt was deeper than whatever platonic feelings they thought they had
they were in the attic, belphie ranting about one of his anti-lucifer-league schemes failing, and they kissed him
they spent their remaining weeks in the devildom attached to his hip, much to the brothers' disdain, but they couldn't hide how relieved they were at his sudden change of heart towards humans

I want to make a list of my JJK theories and opinions so we got (part 1 bc I know I'll have / remember more later).
-let gege cook, everyone will be fine, chill tf out (I have rambled about this in other posts so I'll just leave it at that here)
-Toji and Geto's worm is like banana fish (the drug from banana fish that makes someone delusional, easily suggestible, and violent until they self destruct. Geto lasted a lot longer than Toji under its influence bc he had his rituals of meditations, affirmations, and strong ethics. His cursed energy would have also fed the worm, though it had been trained to feed off of the soul when it was with toji). It eats away at their souls/BRAIN so Kenjaku can get into a new skull will little resistance. Remember when Geto was unconscious and Toji said the thing about monkeys? Then Geto kept repeating that kind of thing (but he never rly acted like he believed that. He was just trying to keep his daughters and innocent youth safe from becoming skapegoats like Rika was. He saw that the cult and the village would repeat their cycles and more would be hurt in the future. He couldn't redeem those adults so he killed them.) I go into this theory a good bit in my longest/first jjk fanfic, and I AM DYING for gege to confirm this. I also ofc think that Kenjaku set up the worm and Toji to find each other. Maybe by throwing it into the zenin curse pit.
-kenjaku hit Rika with his car, or at least manipulated someone else into doing it (which seems to be the theme here, the way he made geto and yuta fight, for example. It's suspicious that Yuta and Yuuji were both from Sendai. I'm sure that he was keeping an eye on them both. We see nanako and mimiko at yuuji's school in that one manga panel in the beginning.
-the prison realm can be used for time travel (since Gojo first got sealed I was expecting him to break out. And then I was expecting him to be so understimulated in there that he'd figure out how to warp time. Dude can already warp space, what's the difference?) and Hakari even suggested using the prison realm for time travel so EVERYTHING'S GOING TO BE FINE they just have to go as far as they can without using it first so they can learn what to do the next time, yeah? I also had a dream about this and Gojo told me that Sukuna didn't feel the time loop, but the rest of us knew it was our second time (at least) going back and trying to defeat him. Which doesn't mean that I'm right but it was nice ok 😭
Theories that have been proven right or wrong by now
-I've been saying from the beginning that Yuuji and Sukuna share a common ancestor and that's why he can be a vessel. I was right!! But I didn't know he was also born with a fingie
-sukuna has six eyes (this has since been disproven but I used to think so)
-the way that RCT works between two people
CHAPTER 261 SPOILERS ON THIS NEXT ONE but I hope ur caught up by now.
-yuta should use as many techniques as possible in Gojo's body bc when Gojo returns to it, then he will be able to learn them as well. Kenjaku was able to retain techniques from his previous bodies, so even if all he transfers is the copy technique, that's fkn useful too.
-there is no chemistry between Yuki and Choso. That concept feels fucking forced and gives me the ick so hard.
-yuki is a terrible influence. She has good intentions, but she isn't present enough to be helpful - showing up in shibuya after Mahito was absorbed, for example. Not keeping in touch with the sorcerers who were involved in that. Not to mention the shit with Geto. She started the whole "what kind of woman is your type" thing and it's her fault that todo beats people nearly to death for giving an answer that doesn't match his own stupid taste (it took several watches for me to forgive todo for beating up megumi tbh)
-todo is also Kenjaku's son, and possibly Yuki - tho yuki is more vibes than evidence. All of Kenjaku's confirmed kids have a strong resolve, and false memories with Yuuji. But I think that kenjaku, in a male body, would be a total slut. His motivation for anything is that maybe it'll be interesting, or funny, he's just here for a good time. I think that he wouldn't even know how many kids he has, and that by having an unknown number possibly out there, it would bring up unexpected sorcerers. The frame where kenjaku asks why don't you heal yourself and yuki says I don't want to... That feels confirmed for me but I know it isn't solid evidence.
-I think kenjaku set up yuki to meet todo bc that feels too sus as well but I forget my logic on that one lmaoooo everything is their fault tho

Did we notice that the only times alex seems to initiate any kind of physical affection are
When he's trying to convince dolph to go along with the heist
And when he's trying to win him back?
And I know he's only there for a few episodes, but really. We also have instances during the heist when dolph is cuddled up on him and he kind of just stands there.
Anon you are so right, let me also direct everyone's attention to this scene
Ignore Rayman's reaction I made several posts going insane on this scene already but a picture really does say a thousand words. Even before the show came out, the trailer made it a point to show us this scene, this one moment that barely flashes by us in both the trailer and the show proper. It's so obvious in hindsight what this scene is telling us about these characters and their relationship, in that Alex didn't love Dolph the way Dolph loved him, that they weren't on equal footing and Alex put himself before Dolph. But when watching the show for the first time we don't know that, we get distracted by the flashy action and violence that much like Dolph himself, the betrayal comes out of nowhere (except it doesn't , both Dolph and us just didn't see Alex's true colours)
I do think Alex did some love bombing on Dolph, which would've been incredibly too easy if the manga previews are suggesting what I think it's suggesting regarding Dolph and Alex's relationship. Even only focusing on the show, the examples you brought up fit this. I don't think Alex fits all the criteria to be a love bomber, nor I think he normally would love bomb someone. But considering how Alex saw how much of an easy target Dolph was when they first met, it seemed like the best tactic
Interestingly though the "wanting to commit too soon" and "gets jealous easily" are traits that don't fit Alex at all, but rather they're traits that Dolph has, traits that Alex definitely took advantage off
Now , the whole "Dolph is possessive/clingy" and thus gets jealous easily isn't something that actually happens in the show.... Unless you count his reaction finding Alex sleeping with Pagan Min, which anyone would get angry about in Dolph's position. That is admittedly more so me knowing that it's a common trait regarding Dolph's character archetype but like, come on, knowing what we know about Dolph (before the manga is out as of writing this) , it's not out the realm of possibility that the combination of Dolph's desperate need for affection, his low view of himself and quick loyalty to anyone who shows him kindness would result in Dolph having issues being possessive of someone he loves (which Dolph hates about himself and Alex definitely did not help with)
BUT THE "COMMIT TOO SOON"!? DOLPH, 100% DOLPH LASERHAWK! We already knew that in the show Dolph's plan pre-betrayel was running away with Alex and basically settling down on a beach with the old man, but having the knowledge that Dolph is early to mid 20s, rather then the assumption he was entering his 30s, when he decided to do that? Insane, not normal about it, he should be clubbing why is he making retirement plans already?
Oh but let's not also forget that when he killed Alex, Dolph cried his heart out and tried to kill himself. Like, even after everything Alex did to him, Dolph was still committed to Alex even in a twisted and self destructive way
And then Dolph gets the will to live again because of Bullfrog, someone who showed Dolph genuine kindness
... I am really looking forward to seeing just how much damage Alex did to Dolph in the manga, and how much does Dolph even know about it

Mastershipping Musings ft. Pegasus
Pegasus is obviously a point of contention between Duke and Kaiba.
Pegasus and Kaiba still have to be business partners after Duelist Kingdom in anime canon, and that's the primary canon I follow because I'm still working on the manga. (side-note: Pegasus probably makes Kaiba pay through the nose for BEWD royalty rights, don't ya think?) Anytime they encounter each other, in business meetings and gaming conventions and tournaments, they have to play (mostly) polite in front of the cameras, but Kaiba can't stand him. That said, he's built his entire company based on Duel Monsters, so he has no choice but to put up with him. I imagine that Kaiba keeps Mokuba away from Pegasus as much as possible, to the point of making sure they're never ever in the same room together and trying to just never mention Pegasus to Mokuba if he can help it. Mokuba doesn't act outwardly traumatized after DK, but he's not taking any risks and not putting his brother in harm's way. Pegasus is a dangerous man, and Kaiba learned that lesson the hard way.
{Long post, rest under cut}
Duke idolized Pegasus as an artist and creator, and was basically the sole inspiration for Dungeon Dice Monsters. Once he finds out about what Pegasus did to the Kaibros in Duelist Kingdom, he's going to feel so conflicted. I think the internet's been around for long enough that we've all had a creator that we liked get outed for something awful they've done (I feel like it's happened a lot) and then we have that uncomfortable feeling afterwards of "but their art/content is so good" "but I shouldn't support them" "but you can separate the art from the artist" "but not when consuming the art is giving them money." Duke is gonna have a whole crisis about it when he finds out. When.
I don't think Kaiba feels a need to explain to Duke what Pegasus did, as he really doesn't come up too often as a topic of conversation between them, but also because he doesn't want to deal with the memory of it.
This gets a little bit into something that's fun for me: the different histories that Duke and Ryou have with Kaiba. Ryou experienced Duelist Kingdom (complete with the Kaiba bros getting their souls stolen by Pegasus) and Duke knows nothing about that. There's no reason for anybody in the friend group to tell Duke about what Pegasus did to Kaiba, or that Pegasus even had a Millennium Item (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that never even comes up around Duke in season four). Ryou has no reason to talk to him about Pegasus because Ryou never thinks about Pegasus. Just forgets about the dude most of the time. And it also slips his mind that Duke doesn't know about that.
On the flip side, Ryou knows nothing about the Noah Kaiba virtual world adventure (I imagine Duke calls it the Battle City Bonus Round) because he was in the Shadow Realm, so he doesn't know about the KaibaCorp missiles that still exist btw (that's something important from that arc that I think it's easy to forget about, but yeah, Kaiba still owns all the weapons that KC had when he took over) and he didn't meet Noah or Gozaburo or find out how screwed up the Kaiba family is from that. He gets told or finds out later that Seto and Mokuba are adopted, but that's about it.
It's also entirely possible that at some point these three—Pegasus, Duke, and Kaiba—will sit down to a business meeting together because of the deals between their three companies. Just imagine Duke going into this meeting with no idea of the personal history between Pegasus and the Kaibas, all he knows is the professional stuff between their companies, and he assumes that they're on friendly terms with each other. Boy oh boy, is he in for a surprise (yes, this is a scene that I have planned for Power of Three). Duke goes in clueless with his boyfriend and the artist he adores, and then they're both going for the jugular, and he's just in shock. One of the few things that can leave Duke truly speechless, but he's got words for Kaiba after the meeting, you can count on that!
Power of Three snippet/preview below, because this scene won't be getting published for a looooong time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You were so much cuter when we first met," Pegasus sighed. "Fifteen and full of hope, and so terribly naïve."
"You've always been an opportunist,” Kaiba scoffed. “I wasn't nearly as naïve as you thought I was."
"You were naïve enough, dear boy. After all, you trusted me."
"At least you admit that you're untrustworthy."
Pegasus smiled.
Again, Duke was at a loss.
"Have you seen the pictures of when we first met?" Pegasus asked Duke, his smile smooth and charming. "He was downright adorable."
The way he stressed that last word made Seto's skin crawl.
"I'm not sure that's relevant to the topic of royalties," was Duke's tactful response. Seto had told him to keep the conversation on-topic; he’d thought Seto meant for him not to get distracted, not to keep the other two on track.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm not the one luring children to my private island in international waters,” Kaiba sneered, and Duke couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen him look so angry.
"Children are delightful, and they have such vivid imaginations." Pegasus laughed, his relaxed posture a sharp contrast to Kaiba's tension. "I can only imagine what Mokuba invented about his visit with me that makes you so resentful."
"You call that a visit?"
"Of course it was a visit. He even had his own little room." Pegasus's single brown eye twinkled. "And so did you, for that matter."
Kaiba stood sharply, glaring down at Pegasus, who simply leaned back in his chair and met his gaze. Duke held his breath, too confused to know what to say at this point. The silence stretched out, the clock on the wall audibly ticking down every second that passed.
"You're a damn lucky man that I can't cut ties with you," Seto finally said, releasing the fists that had been clenched at his sides.
"I'm a damn clever man for making things that way."
The air felt heavy in Duke's lungs and on his shoulders as he looked between the man he loved and the man he idolized.
"As long as you're damned, I'm content." Kaiba carefully sat back down.
"You're never content, but that's alright. I like you that way." Pegasus leaned forward again. "Back to the contracts?"
"Yes."
Most Twilight Princess manga friendships, silbling ships, and relationships
Link, Darpa, Zeu, and Rioma: Bros
They've been friends for ever living in the Boarder City, until it fell Into the void, where eventually Link learn they all live in the Twilight Realm
Darpa has and obsessive personality who wishes to be greatly known in hyrule, and after falling into the Twilight Realm, He makes it his duty to be the protector of the city, as once link returns he is distraught when he warps the City back into the Light world by pulling the gaurof sword once again, and even more so learning of Link's position, However, he ends up rejoining Link in the final battle in hyrule castle along side his "subordinates" Zeu and Rioma"
Shad and Telma: friends
Shad was probably one of the first to join the resistance trying to prove his worth to others (and probably impress ilia which i'll get back to later) He's seen often at Telma's Bar with her and honestly i'n not sure how to describe their friendship!
Rauru and Zelda
He's basicly her Tutor, but a very strict person at that, not quite much else to say here lol
Darb and Luda
The Manga brought a whole lot to Luda in this! and it shows how much she cares for her friend despite being consumed by the Shadow Crystal, and will do anything to save him, as seems the same with darb, he was basicly her big brother growing up!
Ilia and Link
soooo, this could be considered as ship at first, hoever as time goes on they grow apart and find other people, which it is solidifyed at the end that ilia found another
Ganondorf and Zelda
based on Ganon's last statement to zelda in the manga, i can't tell if he's a simp or what, but Zelda clearly wishes to destroy him, Ganon hoever offered Zelda to join his cause, which she refused
Midna and Zelda
The classic "sister i never had trope" but it was done so well, i would have liked to see them interact more, but it was very good
Link, Malo, Talo, Beth and Colin
This is the classic Big Brother Trope, with some of his "younger siblings" always trying to get his attention in their own way, it is their capture which prompts Link to set out on his Adventure
Shad and Ilia
ok, was it unexpected? yes. was it good? yes. this was a pretty funny idea and i dig it! the way shad showed up to Ordon at the end and Ilia 's face seeing hime was great, this is probably the most underrated ship and deserves more love
Link and Midna
ok, The manga did amazing with these two, as it teased something between the two along the way, but became appearent in the 9th one ath the beginning, These two are great together, and it was very sad to see them part,Link truly wanted to leave with Midna. However Akira Himekawa Did do a great job at the very end of it when after Midna left he says,"May you live forever, my beautiful Twilight Princess" which was a very beautiful ending with it showing link leave Ordon as his home, and off to find a new adventure and possibly and old friend
The Most Impactful Story On My Writing
And I can't remember its name but I remember one reaction I had from it that has never really left me.
So first, I do remember the premise so let me set the scene. First: This was when I was just getting into manga as a tweenager, just into middle school, and my sister had a couple books in her room that she'd let me read. One of them was a Shoujo series about a witch getting stranded in our realm after leaving the magical realm and now she must deal with life and boys. During the introductory period, hijinks with her magic happened and then...
They just stopped. For like two whole volumes, you literally could not distinguish it from literally any other Shojo series set in the modern day. The theoretical hook was simply gone as she went through love triangle shenanigans. Then, suddenly, they're making this big deal about her potentially being forced to return to the magical realm and what that means and my reaction was "OH RIGHT! THIS BITCH HAD MAGIC!"
And that moment kind of hit hard for me. When I talk in my analysis about getting annoyed about something abandoning its premise or characters just forgetting who they were, I think this is where that core issue for me began. A moment where I was suddenly wrenched out of everything I was enjoying to go "Oh right! There was an actual concept behind this!"
And that definitely is also in my writing. I'm not going to claim to be perfect but as an example, I did a romcom where one character is a werewolf and it's really fluffy and cute... And yet the curse is still real. Pretty much every chapter has to do with the werewolf element in someway. It is still a CURSE, not just her having dog ears and a tail, even if in many chapters it's allowed to be that way for fluff. It is never left hanging for too long the reminder that I chose to make them a werewolf.
That book is Their Ruff Secrets btw and is my proudest work to this day, even if Crises Girlfriends is even more personal for me.
It by no means is the only one though. When I did monster girls, I made sure not to forget their claws and what they were. When I did traumatized, molded soldiers, they were constantly dealing with their training versus their reality as sudden civilians. Rich Witch is possibly to the point where it's so focused on these characters being nobles and what that means that it's a detriment as much as a plus, but I know I wouldn't really write it any other way because I would never want to feel like I'm just ignoring the premise. Hell, plans for that series include one character acting like they're trying to forget that they're a noble and the PROBLEMS that come with that.
And it all started with a fairly generic Shoujo manga that I can't even remember the name of.
why i'm content with gojo's end - my theory for the jjk manga post-chapter 236
like many, i found the events of jjk chapter 236 to be so gut-wrenching and jarring that I couldn't even find myself able to accept it. my initial shock and grief over gojo's untimely demise definitely colored my perception of the chapter and led to far more scrutiny than i'd given probably any other chapter in the manga thus far. upon further reflection, I came to determine that my issue was not with anything in the chapter itself, but that it seemed to lack appropriate context. why was gojo so accepting of his death? why was he only talking about sukuna and not his students? how could he believe he had died with no regrets? it felt like something was missing, some crucial piece of information. and the more I thought about it, the more I reflected on the story as a whole, as it has been presented to us chapter by chapter. and now, I have a personal theory as to what is "missing," and why we might still see more of gojo yet.
i believe, at some point (in hopefully the near future), we will get a flashback to the time period between when gojo was unsealed (Nov 19) and when he went to fight sukuna (Dec 24). my theory is that gojo spent that time getting his affairs in order and preparing his students to follow in his footsteps when he perished, which I believe also included providing them with some sort of "trump card" they could use in the worst-case scenario.
i do believe gojo is dead, full-stop. i don't think he's coming back. but I think his "final moments" are a bit more grand and sentimental than what was shown to us in 236. we don't know exactly what gojo was doing/thinking in the prison realm, but i'd like to imagine he spent a significant portion reflecting on his identity and geto's infamous question: "are you the strongest because you're satoru gojo, or are you satoru gojo because you're the strongest?" and I imagine, after falling for kenjaku's trap, gojo had a "come to jesus" moment with himself and decided he was going to give up the title of "the strongest" when he got out (probably after burying geto's body). of course, his plans are interrupted when sukuna (now in megumi's body) stops him. i think gojo sees this as an opportunity: not only does he get to fight sukuna and measure their strengths, but he gets to go out "with a bang," so to speak. imo, gojo chose the Christmas eve date for their fight not so he could align kenjaku's death with geto's, but to align his own death with geto's and give himself time to prepare for that inevitability. winning was likely always a possibility in gojo's mind, but I think he was willing and ready to accept his fate, so long as he could prepare his allies for what would come next.
we, the audience, are given very few glimpses of what occurred in the month preceding the fight. the first thing we learn, ironically, is that uraume was unable to locate sukuna's last finger, which sukuna believes is in gojo's possession. this is never confirmed; however, it's likely to be true. gojo obviously never intended for itadori to be executed, so it would make sense for him to hide it until the moment he needed it. so where is it? we don't know for sure, but why would gege mention it otherwise? we also see gojo with shoko and ijichi reflecting on nanami's death, which is when ino arrives. shoko says he looks like he has something to say, but it is never revealed what that is. some have speculated he came to tell them about toji's resurrection, which is possible, and might be a speculative theory for those who believe gojo could come back. then we see itadori and kusakabe sparring, where (it appears) itadori is in kusakabe's body and vice versa. this is also never explained or brought up again. then we see yuta and inumaki talking, where yuta tells inumaki he'll be "putting him to work," with no further context. we also know gojo spoke with gakuganji about yaga's death and his "secret" technique which created panda. within the span of only two chapters, we are given all this information, and then we immediately jump into the fight.
i've seen many complaints about the writing in 236, but it feels rather disingenuous to label it as "lazy." throughout all of jjk's manga, it is so painfully obvious how much thought gege is putting into his story. if you read the notes after each chapter, you quickly realize how much time and effort he spends on every little detail, every little panel, even the specific words the characters use. some of it may be lost in translation, but even with fan translations, I find gege's writing to be extremely purposeful and intentional. i remember the shock of seeing sukuna finally chanting "enchain" in chapter 212 after making the binding vow with itadori all the way back in chapter 11. it took two hundred chapters before we saw this detail come to fruition. which also means that, since the beginning, gege has always been planning for sukuna to take over megumi's body (which I think most of us already guessed, in fairness). still, I would argue that this illustrates the kind of scale and plotting gege is doing with the narrative structure of his story. it's fair, I think, to criticize the execution, but I hesitate to call it "lazy."
the intentional withholding of information seems like the biggest hint that whatever happened in that month is what will allow our heroes to ultimately win. i doubt gojo spent that month just training - after all, he's already the strongest, it would be a bit overkill at that point. instead, I think he spent that time gathering every trump card he could and dividing them among his students. he might have departed some wisdom or general advice, or he might have spent some of that time training them personally. perhaps he was finally able to see how much they'd grown in his absence. regardless, it is my belief that gojo was prepared to lose the battle to win the war, to use his final moments fighting sukuna as an opportunity to understand and be understood in turn, and to finally rid himself of his title as "the strongest." in the context of 236, I understand why gojo's final thoughts are mainly about his fight and sukuna. i believe he had already taken care of everything else he intended to handle, leaving him to enter his fight with no regrets holding him back.
i'm sure he acted as though he would win so as not to worry his friends and students. but I think he also left them with everything they will need to fight sukuna and kenjaku. i don't believe gojo set out on a selfish quest to compare himself against sukuna with the possibility of abandoning his allies with no hope. sure, gojo enjoyed the fight, as is in line with his character. but I think he was able to accept his death so easily because he was able to carry out his dream of raising strong and clever allies who would carry on in his place.
and look, i have my own complaints about jjk. it's not perfect. but I like this chapter, and I don't think it ruins gojo's character. i don't think we've seen the last of him yet, and I hope that whatever big reveals gege is planning will bring us some measure of peace and satisfaction.
other musings: why one piece should never be adapted into live-action
There is a certain trend lately of adapting unusual pieces of media to live action, and while I usually don't give a fuck, this time it touched something very dear to me, which is One Piece. I could spend hours here talking about my love for this saga and how this is just another consequence of capitalism and the urge to just squeeze out every last drop of money out of everything, but after the trailer for the new Netflix series dropped I just had to vent about something simpler. And boy do I have opinions about this.
Despite its very real portraying of very human problems such as racism and political instability, One Piece is, at its core, an absurd manga. The characters have such ridiculous mannerisms, the proportions are so exaggerated, and there are interactions so unserious that it can be even quite jarring at first; but hidden in its straightforward and sometimes nonsensical narrative is a masterful and ingenious thought process by Eiichiro Oda. Everything is a tad over-the-top, from the cartoonish style of the characters to the attention for detail in the backgrounds, in order to compose an universe that looks magical and whimsical but feels cohesive, realistic in some way. And it's through this exaggeration that Oda manages to convey so much emotion, and still make his readers feel such strong connections to his creation, even though it's far from our real world.
Those hyperboles are a vital part of what makes One Piece one of the most unique works of fiction ever made, and one with such a strong personality, at that. So when forced to accept the heavy burden of making a live-action series of the best selling manga of all time, producers are faced with two choices: either to try and capture this absurdness as best as possible by being extremely loyal to the source, or to make adaptations to the characters and the world to make it a bit more realistic and appealing to the public.
And the thing is, there will never be a right answer to this. Being too loyal to the source would make it a ludicrous farce, and taking liberties would create something too different from the thing everyone already knows and loves. So Netflix chose the path of creative liberty, and the price paid was a stiff, void, and most importantly, uncanny take on something that should never be brought to the real world at all.
Don't get me wrong, I have much love for the cast and believe they are doing a great job, but unfortunately the feeling of just... wrongness will never fade, no matter the approach. The colorful characters feel like people in bad costumes, the special powers just feel weird, the colors feel wrong and the world doesn't feel vast, just empty. One that got me thinking a lot was Buggy. Of course, he was one of the most unserious characters of the whole manga, but even he was a bit intimidating at the beginning, and had his moments to shine. Live-action-Buggy is just some weirdo in a bright blue wig that looks like a sad cosplayer, and I can't take him seriously no matter how hard I try.
So what about the more bizarre parts of the cast, like Hannyabal or Blackbeard or just the overly huge Admirals? What about the huge sea monsters or the weird fish people of Arlong Park? The latter parts of the manga go without saying, because I seriously doubt the live action will get renewed for one more season. How can we expect any of this to be remotely close to the joy we feel reading or watching the original work?
And I think that's the whole problem with live actions from anime. The freedom to bend reality that is possible within the realms of manga and anime just will never be translated well into something so western as a modern tv show. These boring adaptations suck the soul out of the original source, and manage to transform even the most expressive and heartfelt ideas into uncreative remakes without a single ounce of personality, and it will be forever depressing to see it happening to yet another thing so well made like One PIece.
#manga#anime#one piece#eiichiro oda#one piece manga#other musings#one piece live action#op live action#op#i swear no shade to anyone involved in production#its just literally impossible to get something good out of this mess
Contemplative Asks: Rune.
1. cosmos: what's one thing you wish you could say to someone you are no longer friends with?
You demanded so much for someone worth so little.
2. galaxies: what are three things you want to do before you die?
-Read my entire TBR list.
-Experience every single astronomical phenomenon possible. Eclipses, northern lights, meteor showers, Halley's comet, etc.
-Meet V.E. Scwab.
3. waxing: what is your proudest accomplishment?
Probably bearing the brunt of our ex's abuse so others didn't have to. Other than that, nothing comes to mind.
4. waning: what is your biggest regret?
The redheaded tyrant.
5. full moon: what type of person do you hope to be?
Stronger. More defiant. More able to say what I'm thinking. And someone who can protect my friends.
6. contemplation: if you could wake up one morning and everything in your life was perfect, what would that look like?
I'd wake up in my loft in the top of my bookshop. (Think Aziraphale's bookshop.) I'd walk down the street and read while sipping coffee and vaping. I'd take a walk in the woods. The moon would be huge. The stars would be impossibly bright. I'd flirt with a gorgeous girl and she'd flirt back; someone kinda goth and kinda butch with dark hair. Probably end the night with a bottle of wine and a film noir movie, just people-watching a group of friends.
7. night light: who/what makes you feel safe?
... Nothing. :/ Though having Vex around is the closest I could get.
8. ponder: what do you want to do with your life?
Just kind of enjoy it and help Sparrow out. I don't really have any lofty goals for myself. I want to see things and experience life, but as far as changing the world or whatever, I'm not, like, ambitious. It'd be cool to write more.
9. sunset: who is someone you thought would be in your life forever, but you no longer talk to?
Apollo. (Previously mentioned redheaded tyrant)
10. midnight: are you a different person late at night than in the early morning?
Definitely more of a night person. I'm functionally nocturnal.
11. candle light: are you an indecisive person?
I backspaced on this answer three times and I feel like that settles it lol
12. reflection: have you ever changed something you liked about yourself to satisfy someone else?
Yes. Especially interests. I used to have a never-ending list of anime and manga for Apollo. I even changed my hair and let him change it as 'his art project.' Kinda makes me sick, now that I think about it.
13. sweet dreams: are you happy?
I'm numb lol I literally don't have any idea what I'm feeling. I spent too long in the Realm of Koh and just forgot the art of expression.
14. nightmare: what are you most afraid of?
Being the only one to survive a disaster that all of my loved ones perished in. Fire, mass-shooting, earthquake, etc. Just the feeling of waking up traumatized and there being No One.
15. constellations: who is someone you could talk to for hours and never stop?
Probably Sound or Vex tbh
16. reminder: who is someone you will never forget?
Addie LaRue. (If you get the reference, you'll think I'm funny lol)
17. 11-11: what's something you want, but feel like you will never have?
For Apollo to have *any* remorse for what he did to Sparrow and I. And Xanthe. And Xhax. And JaK. Sound. Koji. Aberle. The whole system has beef with him, really, but he took eight years from Sparrow and ten years from me, so.
I want him to feel shitty about it. About cracking our ribs and makng up people to blackmail us with and beating us. But he won't.
18. shooting star: who is someone you trust to help you make the right decisions?
My tarot deck lol
19. earth: where do you feel most at home?
Probably my inworld home. (previously mentioned loft in a bookstore, located in insys Montreal)
20. soothe: what's one thing that always makes you feel better when you're upset?
Reading. Umbrella Academy.
21. slumber: what's one thing that helps you fall asleep when it feels impossible?
150 mg of Diphenhydramine rip.
Just had a dream that both metal sonic & his triggerhappy counterpart from sa1 (who i nicknamed E.T) was here and bro i fuckin miss that guy. He followed orders, shot people with a fuck ton of bullets from his hands (omega style) and at some point told me me i couldnt do an arm lift in the most stupidest way possible (i forgot how he said it) and i had to explain that im having trouble because my finger was fucking injured.
And also i miss the war appleblossom lady (she was absically if you mlp applebloom, and then made her a short adult human who's worn of war.), because damn she had issues but GOD was she a boss.
Apperently the red wolf kid from sonic forces was our "training guy" and then the woman who was the boss of him was one of the elemntal magic ppl (she was water?) And they had a fight with both of then slicing eachothers neck because red wolf was angry that she left the who team behind and that even though she the recruiter, shes not the one who trained everybody up (btw theyre both fine. Apperently he has godlike abilites as well and they both instantly healed from the gash.). Also, apprlerently she was underestimating Oswald, who she had helped uncover his abilities (as the metal element).
Also that whole fight took place in a grocery store because our original base got overthrown by an army of robots and one SUPER beefy white guy who was just.. so strong that we had to use forks and distance attacks to prevent us (the other elemental peeps who were part of pur team) from getting instakilled.
Also, very few elementals survived mr beefy guy (look, E.T literally shot a bullet through his head and he shook it off like nothing.) So im pretty sure it was just E.T, oswald and few other characters my brain just did not focus on.
Oh and to explain, Oswald was the starting point of the dream (his name is based off of the kid from fnaf game "Into the Pit") who originally started as some young boy tryna make it big in game development on earth (i acutely remember the game nobody wanted to buy/liked that he attempted to advertise for in the most akward of ways, and its about some jappanese karate man who just wants to be a singer (main accesory was his karoke microphone). I remeber just going "wow this guy is going to get nowhere"
And then all of a sudden i remember having a comic/manga esc cutscene play out in my head, about this guy thinking about his karaoke karate man, and then being like, "but okay what if.." and eventually the doodles divert into something like a doraeon, where hes like "but what if the karote man is instead this kid with superpowers that he has to work for in order to awaken those abilities, and he has a team of this adult senseis who also have superpowers" and apperently that comic idea is real and makes it big. He gets popular for his newer story.
But plot twist: that story was actually real! And my boy Oswald, whilst at a pool, get isekaied into this new realm with all these elementals and they're like "you gotta do all our chores boy" and Oswald is like "okay i guess this is my job now" and does it. And the tasks go from like sweeping leaves to one of the elemental gods (he was a tree man i think. His elemenet wasnt said outright though) explaining that the water god has a shit ton of dogs, 3 of which i took care of and a slew of other ones, (a few that stood out was this angry lookong white pitbull and a borzoi). Out of the 3, one of them served as a "final boss" of sorts, and was described as "the only dog the the water god HAS to walk" because not only if this dog apperently posses some god-like powers that its able to witstand the area that it wants to walk through, but that its so deadly only a god can walk her.
So obviously, as a final test, Oswald (aka me in Oswalds POV) must go through these 4 portals and walk this dog (as it refuses to walk anywhere else but these areas.)
The first portal i went through was straight up pure white, and on the otherside was apperently Earth from 100000 years away or something where everything is a firey apocolyps (basically Sonic 06 Crisis city) and i remember getting burned form the lava and whatnot. But halfway through the walk, the water lady comes and is like "alright your good to go" and i guess i did well?
Well, apprently once Oswalds powers were awoken, it was revealed that the comic was actually 100% true to the point that this guy, ended up transforming into the doreamon style with these blue glowing polygonal wings around. Him (ultrakill style gabriel wing stuff. Thats what i mean) and apperently his powers are revealed to be of "hard material" which i later (in the dream) renamed to "metal".
So after brushing that lore all up, to continue. Thered a part later in the story where i have to downnn underneath the realm (this us during the war after our base got invaded) where i needed to make some money, so i headed down to the demon world (which btw there are 2 worlds. The "dome realm" which is earth, and the god/demon realm, in which the gods are high up and the demons are all the way on the ground/bottom. Its a location seperation thing.) And theres this collusiem, in which i mentally describe that the audience/crowd isnt like other crowds where all they want is entertainment. These demons like to see a bit of bloodshed. And instead of fighting in the ring and causing bloodshed, i take a peice of what looks like ground beef, get what can only be describe as some kind of scythe or pirate hook, and then use that to move the ground beef around. And then i exploited the demons weakness, by stating it was "human meat" which i guess distracts them from the fact im human myself(??) And the challenge was annouced from thereon on who could grab bite of that sweet human ground beef. Eventually one guy managed it as i gradually increased the size of the meat every time a demon would try jumping down from the audience and grabbing a bite of the floor ground beef, and eventually some guy caught it, ate it, and said it tasted like shit. Which prompted the demons in the audience to straight up leave due to boredom.
Because surprise surprise. That shit wasnt human meat, it was literally peices of ground beef and chicken from my chicken and beef sandwhich.
The whole thing ended with one of the demons getting seriously invested in my weird ass food game, jumping down and challenging me with the grabbing piece thing. Then at the end, i end the tournament with a few peices of bbq potato chips, place it on the middle of the table and go "who ever can grab this first is the winner"
And we both got hooks, and my guy swipes first and wins.
Then after that i believe i head back up.
Also E.T fucking leaves the walmart base after spending so much time with us. Just because the boss told him to. And when i asked what happend (as a.. floating fish for some reason.. we all turned into fish near the end of this, and then reverted back to our normal forms during red wolfs and water gods fight) she said she didnt know where he was going or whats going to happen to him (i was worried he was leaving us or was goong to be scrapped)
I miss that fucker he had guns...
Darkness Reborn ~ Origins of the Ink Demon Final Chapter Finale (10/10) ~
[Master of the Universe - Sota Fujimori]
Crona Gorgon : You sure about this?
Crona Lawrence : This is what we are going to do, sibling.
Clown Kaguya : Give Crona back to me, ya big oath! Or else! I'm gonna put an end to your life!
(the group arrives)
Maka : We finally made it at the core!
Inky Jr : I finally found you, punk kid!
Crona Lawrence : Well, if it ain't the Ink Demon himself. So nice of you to finally show your return I humble you my only gratitude.
Maka : You! You did this to everything to me! You set me up for this! Now I know what it means that I ever felt sorry to you.
Clown Kaguya : Girl from 10 years ago. Remember me? I was the one in your dream of you being cucked to your own sorroful boyfriend after Shinra find out that his own grandson was a heartless and I was there.
Maka : Hey, you're that clown created from the Kishin. I thought I defeated you in the Story of Soul Eater.
Clown Kaguya : Yeah, but turns out I had to wake up to reality, despite being a near-naked woman with the markings on body that is the face of demon vibe, I just wanted to tell you that I'm really after finding out that the Kishin we knew was a heartless controlled by Demon Vibe, the ruler of the Shadow Realm.
Maka : So, does this mean that you'll forgive me?
Clown Kaguya : True that.
Crona Lawrence : Well, that's very touching of you. I guess that it's only a shame that the god you defeated was only a heartless like the others, I knew that they would get their hands on destroying this entire legacy that was implanted inside the planet's core for 1000 years.
Maka : You! I looked up to Shinra's legacy, I read his story! He inspired me to become the hero of the story that I was never in!
Ashley : We've come to put an end the Gorgon Sister's nuiscance!
Seto : I finally made it as soon as possible!
Inky Albarn : So what's your deal now, traitor! What are your plans on destroying the entire Kusakabe Legacy!?
Crona : Well for to ask. The only reason that the Heartless' Attention was triggered by this tree he implanted on the planet's core, heartlesses had so many attempts on destroying this legacy we have cherished to bring it's attention on destroying the ohkuboverse. Death and destruction is their key on opening the door to darkness.
Maka : You liar! You wanted to destroy this legacy, don't ya! You have no right to destroy planets even if you do! I will never let you do it!
Crona Lawrence : I'm going to destroy all of you at once when I unleashed the raw power of Darkness into this tree and see if you like to be the most incompetent villain of the story! So make things clear that I will put this planet into submission! *STAB!*
Shinra (Devil Chaos Form) : Hey, I'm not too late! What's going on? What the!? Is that...No! What are you doing!?
Death : (laughing, continues to laughs evilly)
Crona Lawrence : No! You! What do you think you're doing!? You scoundrel!
[Anubis (Impossible) - Maki Kirioka]
*DBZ SFX : Instant Transmission*
Death : Thanks for leading me here! You are all to kind of being the hero of the story of Soul Eater. I knew that the author your manga was a such weird man making Soul Eater submitting to exist after the 1000 years of death of Shinra. You finally understand the forces of evil were only a diversion set up by Demon Vibe in order to bring galactic Conquest to dispose of any inhabitants ruled by your people Maka.
Maka : You're dracula's servant Death, the real Death!
Death : That's right, child of the Phantonian Race. It was I who controlled the whole bringing conflicts on this planet, the humans and witches have been fooled by these creatures of the darkness you call them heartless. Other shall die with their own blood, political refuges, consuming the souls of a million innocence that are the denizens of light and seekers of darkness. Shinra's man-made son would be the perfect opportunity of being an illusion entity made by one person that created your world, in annihilation on attack Ashley's people finding out that the witches thought to be the enemies to your kind, but that enitity Demon Vibe is responsible for manipulating their lives. And believe to you that his son Death the Kid, was apparently a disguise by me only for the power of political refuge and religious tolerance.
Maka : So it was you! You co-created the DWMA on Walpurgisnacht! You ordered all this to protect Shinra Kusakabe's legacy! Why are you doing this to us!?
Death : Me? For Dracula's sake.
Shinra (Devil Chaos Form) : So the Death that I created was really an illusion? my God. What have I done? I should've known Demon Vibe was using me from the very start!
Soul Evans : So we've been played! So the real Black Star is dead.
Maka : And Death the Kid was merely a disguised by him, so the real one was actually in a portrait and was burned in the furnace. This was all an attempt on using us for political development! Oh, I'm such a fool to myself, I couldn't believe you would go and do such thing for us!
Tsubaki : So, you're behind all of this!
Marie Mjolnir : I looked up after you, I made a contract to you, and now I realize that you were the one who tricked into believing that there would be any courage.
Death : Yeah and Shinra lied to you all. Humans don't serve the Great God of Death their selves, Grim Reaper only serve for both Dracula and God himself! You were just a bunch of parasites to this planet.
Seto : YOU SCROUNDREL!!! RRRRAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!
(CLANG!)
Seto : This is the last time that I ever had to defeat you in person. Now I know why was Maka the traitor. You tricked everyone into believing that they worked for a Shinigami, you knew that Maka was going to be betrayed from the start, and for me, you tried to take title Shinigami away from me! Guess what, Dracula Servant death. I had to make DWMA to cease to exist, because there was never really a DWMA in the country or in another planet. So that's why I called the Time Eater's relative Homura Akemi to destroy the Ohkuboverse.
Death : What!? You wouldn't dare!
[The Messiah - Yutaka Minobe]
Seto : Oh yes, it's happening. Hey, Godoka! Destroy the Legacy and the remaining half of the Ohkuboverse. I promse to their author that the Ohkuboverse should never existed again! Now to put the crazy author's crazies behind, it's time that we need to keeping moving forward! CHAOS...CONTROL*
*Sonic SFX : Chaos Control*
Death : No! What are you doing!?
Godoka : I'm putting this to end and no one will protect the cursed legacy anymore. Farewell, Soul World, cease the world of Soul Eater to exist!
*DBZ SFX : ENERGY BALL IMPACT*
Death : (screams in agony) GAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
*DBZ SFX : LOUD EXPLOSION+ENERGY WAVE*
Death : [dying] CURSE YOU, SETOOOOOOOOOO...(fades)
"Meanwhile..."
[Hang Castle/Mystic Mansion Zone]
*Sonic SFX : Chaos Control*
Seto : Master Grim!
[Live life : Sonic and Merlina - Crush 40]
Grim (Metal Sonic) : Ah, Seto. Glad that you finally made brouht us back to the Castle.
Soul : Wait a sec. I remember this video game level, This is the place that you ended up.
Maka : Well, they say that I was a bad girl, so I ended up at this place where they put me in a special room.
Ashley : This is the Reaper's castle. So why, blondie. What brought us here for this special occasion?
Seto : To tell you this, I'm already a member of the Shinigami council, I am now the new Shinigami of the country of Japan. I am Seto the Deathless! That is my title!
Kimial Diehl : So the Shinigami that Shinra created, he was an illusion all along and Shotaro was his host as the profounding body. Who would've thought that the world of Soul Eater was just a fantasy living in our heards, althought I was too stubborn to realize that I was living in the witches, but I actually to used to be in Tokoy and moved back to old hometown of Salem.
Ashley : Which means that the witches realm was never created, Maba knew that was the current witch queen to our kind at all, I am. I'm the new queen of our people, a new queen to all the Majo in Salem Massachusetts. What did you become?
Kimial Diehl : Me? I became the new head of Majo Detective Force and it's official that Jacqueline and I are not alone anymore, we got our selves busy to have a family of our own!
Clown Kaguya : So, I promised to you, Maka-chan. I realized that the Kishin we've been serving was a heartless only to be used by Demon Vibe in order to open the Door to Darkness to himself. Can't a was a heartless scumbag that I was. At least, the Gorgon Sister trio learned their lesson about dealing with cosmic horrors and using the heartless as decoys.
Maka : I see. You know this reminded me something.
[Denouement : True King Arthur - Yutaka Minobe]
Maka : I just realized, I don't need the world of Soul Eater to be everything part of. I don't need courage, bravery, or this Soul Resonance that was invented by the boy who created the world that we lived in. After all it's just a fantasy. With no Shinigami. What are we gonna do if there is no Shinigami, I mean we're only people trying to save the real world from ever being harmed.
Grim (Metal Sonic : Mrs Albarn. You have alot to explaining to do. Should you agree on something?
Seto : You heard him. So, Maka, Soul, Kimial...Everyone, I am your Shinigami of all time, I am the girl who was destined to be Shinigami.
Maka : Destined to be Shinigami,
Soul : For real?
Tsubaki : No way.
Liz : Hold the phone.
Patty : Hold my nachos!
Solva : I'll say, she has that faith in everyone to believe that Seto is the one true Shinigami in all of Japan and to the world by myself.
Tsugumi : Hey, Maka. You know what this means.
Maka : So this means...
All : [together] Seto is the one true Shinigami!?
Seto : Hey, take it easy, one at a time! Of course, I'm the one that everyone was looking for the entire time!
[Applause]
Soul : Guess that Shinigami we knew was just that kid named Shotaro.
Maka : Nothing changes in our lives and Makoto is worried about me. But my sister couldn't handle the fact the one true Shinigami is literally this blonde hair girl. Nothing matters to me now, I will be stronger than that and we will stay forever as friends and just move on.
Soul : Just move on. [painfully realizes that he is friendzoned] I understand that.
Maka : Speaking of moving on, Soul. If there was never a next generation to Soul Eater, there will never be a future for all of us and including our people that we see in the other day. But there's one explanation that I forgot to tell you.
Soul : Like what?
Maka : Moirai?
Moirai : Oh yeah, that's right.
Maka & Moirai : [together] WE FORGOT ABOUT DAD!
"Meanwhile..."
Spirit Albarn : Hello, Anybody here? Hello? Where did everybody go. Very funny guys! Very funny! (something bypasses him) Huh? What was that? Who...Who's there? Maka...Moirai, Soul. Where is everybody.
(something approaches to him)
Spirit Albarn : Oh there you are Maka. Where have you been after all this...Eh? Hey, you're not Maka? Who are you? What's going on? Why are you looking at me like that? What's with the little Heartless emblem on your chest and...(starts panicking) Hey, what are you approaching me? Please, don't come any closer! No please, Maka don't! Don't come this way! [in horror] AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
"Our games isn't over yet!"
"This will be the final solution to our everlasting dream!"
"Without the world of Soul eater and Death, Real World AU will be in submission at the palm of my hands!"
"Corruption and power is only a sinful greed for all of Mankind."
"Souls are just worthless now, Hearts are the main course to savor."
"This will be your final curtain call."
"Darkness shall be...REBORN!"
// Don't reblog this post, I don't want it being spread around!
Some worldbuilding meta stuff that I'm using as reference for my muses, aka what I'm grabbing from G:
Gold saints are constantly sent out across the world, to do missions of a wide variety of its natures. Often it is meant to deal with mythological threats, that governments can't deal with on their own. It is left ambiguous on whether or not, the rest of the world is aware of them. But it is clear that the Sanctuary as a whole is treated and viewed as a myth, the sentiment extends to the Saints sent out from it as well (especially the gold ones).
Until the classic series events take place, there are effectively only 8 gold saints available to take care of those matters. Dohko only leaves his position, during the Hades arc. Saga is disguised as the Pope, so not at all taking the role of the Gemini saint. Aiolos is dead. And Mu is withdrawing and purposely avoiding the Sanctuary, ever since he noticed Shion's absence. It doesn't help that Deathmask and Aphrodite are being used, as Saga's lapdogs to take care of anyone, who's doing a bit too much questioning to his liking. So, effectively only 6 gold saints are truly available.
Whenever the saints are out in the normal world, they employ fake identities in order to get them around places. This was especially needed, while the gold saints were still technically minors. So, the use of fake IDs was a necessity for them to get around places. Because, contrary to what one would imagine, the majority of saints can't teleport themselves and even less fly towards certain locations on their own.
The Sanctuary is a lot more and bigger than the 12 zodiac houses, and the small village that's located close to it. It is treated as if it were a whole realm, hidden and separated from the rest of the world. It maintains a lifestyle and reality that's way more in line, with the ancient Greek lifestyle. As if the modern world had no influence on it. There are actual common/normal ppl living in the Sanctuary. It is not a land meant only for warriors and Athena's army. It is never explained how they got there, but it is possible to infer they are probably heirs of past warriors/extended family or even straight up misfortunate souls who wandered into it
The zodiac houses are also treated as the saints actual residences. I personally didn't like the way the manga treated, the idea of gold saints having servants, so I ignore that part. But the zodiac houses are a lot bigger, than being a battlefield or a simple pathway.
