Danny: More or less. I’m no expert, but I love outer space. Now, *pulls out like three books and a notebook* What do you want to know?

Twilight: I thought you only had one book. Geez, Hylia really took one look at you and said “Yeah, that boy can fit so much cosmic knowledge”.

Other Characters

Koume and Kotake

Ganondorf's moms. Very spooky old women who are always up to something.

Will drop in for surprise visits to see Ganondorf, much to everyone else's discomfort.

They adore their son, but will not hesitate to smack him with a broom if he's being foolish.

Local black market pharmacists. They can't get you prescription drugs, but their home remedies are extremely effective. They're absolutely foul to ingest and they hit like a freight train, but they work. Their most well-known product is their back-alley period symptoms cure--it's like drinking battery acid, but it's instantaneous.

Darunia

Zelda's eccentric 'uncle'.

Retirement age, but teaches Zumba class at the local recreation center.

Always willing to drop what he's doing to lend a hand if he's nearby and you need him.

Local wrestling champion.

He and Sidon are fitness bros.

The Kokiri

The children taking Sidon's swim class and Darunia's Zumba class.

They give Link life advice when he talks to them.

Agitha

Another child at the recreation center that gives Link life advice.

Rich child. Her parents don't quite 'get' her neurodivergency, but damn it, they support her.

Special interest is bugs.

Always eager to share Cool Bug Facts!

Knows everyone's secrets. She claims the bugs told her.

She'll share those secrets if you give her cool bugs or bug related items like shed skins or shells.

Lolita fashion enthusiast.

Linkle

Link's ADHD sister.

Keeps Cuccos.

Absolute shit at directions. Unless she has a GPS, she's not going to get there in a timely fashion.

An absolute crackshot with her crossbows. This translates over to first person shooters, and she always tops the leaderboards.

Annoys the fuck out of everyone in the game chat because she comes off as ditzy and Not Really Trying, yet is constantly top 3.

A frequent guest on Midna's livestreams.

Tingle

35 years old, unemployed, and always trying to Get Rich.

Sells weed. It's good weed, but if you buy from him, he always invites himself in and helps himself to your food.

Hopeless otaku. His favorite anime is Sword Art Online.

Constantly getting into flame wars with Zant over their conflicting media opinions.

Cryptobro. Has invested so much money into the cryptocurrency market and lost almost all of it because he's absolute shit at it.

Has his own currency called TingleCoin he'll shill at every single opportunity, and he has at least three 'unpaid interns' constantly mining it.

Will text you unprompted to try and involve you in his latest Multi Level Marketing scam.

Ren Faire connoisseur, but pervs on the women there enough that they have him on a list. They see him coming in those little red undies and they go running the other way.

Impa

???????????

Just a mysterious woman who comes to the house and talks to Zelda every now and then to make sure she's okay.

Then she leaves on her motorcycle.

Whenever anyone asks, Zelda just tells her Impa is 'a friend of the family' and drops it.

That's it. That's all anyone knows about her.

Groose

Total meathead, but he has a good heart.

Was carrying a torch for Zelda for years, but has finally decided to 'let her down gently' after getting together with Cadence. Zelda was incredibly receptive.

Works at the gym. He always looks out for everybody coming in to work out. He means well, but he also does the thing where he shows you how to do the exercises or use the equipment and you can't quite help but feel like he's showing off.

Competitive. The quickest way to get him to do something is to imply that he's incapable of doing it.

He'll offer to share his food with you. Do not take it. It's all protein and fitness stuff and it's absolutely rancid.

Taking engineering classes on the side. He likes to build.

Keeps birds.

Shad

35.

Eccentric scholar, works as the local librarian.

Delightfully befuddled most of the time.

Close friends with Sonata, and concerned for her wellbeing.

Physically fragile. The wind could blow the wrong way and he'd fall over.

"I'm not 'feeding the trolls', this is an internet debate and I'm sharing what I know!"

Gets targeted often by Sonata's stalker (Zant), much to his misfortune. This man can't use the computer anymore because Zant keeps fucking up Shad's mainframe.

Is only slightly aware that he and Dirge are dating, and both of them are fine with that.

Valentine's Day

What do they all do for Valentine's Day?

Link + The Secret Polycule (Melody, Ruto, Malon, Ilia, Midna, Fi, Sidon)

It's a big group event.

Link has no part in the planning--he happily goes along with whatever's going on.

The members of the polycule take turns planning different events every year, all funded by Ruto.

Ruto takes everyone on a nice spa day, a shopping trip, dinner at a restaurant--the works.

Malon and Ilia both choose a day on horseback riding through the woods, complete with a picnic.

Midna dials it back a notch. They're all staying inside and playing videogames today. Everyone gets assigned characters to voice (except Link), and they all just sit around the couch and vibe for the day while eating chocolates.

Fi plans a day at the theater for them. She puts together pamphlets and everything about the shows they're going to see. Choosing the perfect play or musical that everyone in the polycule will like is an art form, one that she takes great pride in.

It's Sidon's turn this year, and he has the perfect date planned: a day at the beach!

...in the middle of February...

He forgot that humans are a little more susceptible to cold water than Zora are...

At least he, Ruto, and Link enjoy the ocean. Everyone else makes the best of it on land; Midna and Fi go look in the tide pools, while Malon, Melody, and Ilia go hunting for shells.

It will be Melody's turn next year. She's thinking an elaborate treasure hunt across the city.

Zelda + Yona

A nice dinner at a nice restaurant.

It's not often that Yona gets to let her metaphorical hair down. Talking to Zelda is always wonderfully refreshing, especially over a good meal.

Zelda delights her girlfriend with different fun facts about nature and animals she learned recently.

Sometimes the paparazzi are a problem, since Yona's married to Sidon, but it's pretty well known that it's an open marriage anyway.

Ganondorf + Lyric

Ganondorf always has the house to himself.

So, he makes a delicious home-cooked dinner and invites Lyric over for the evening.

His gifts are always extravagant. He takes Lyric's preferences into account, but he also knows you can't go wrong with a custom-forged sword.

Lyric gives him something she made herself. A poem, a crocheted scarf...and every time, it touches him deeply.

It's a lovely time for the two of them.

Ghirahim + Aria

Always a little sulky on Valentine's Day.

The day is about spoiling your lovers. Grand romantic gestures! So how come nobody ever does anything to sweep him off his feet?

True, a few days before, Ganondorf always spends a passionate night with him and gives him a massive allowance, and that's nice...but...

He wants to be wined and dined and not the one putting in effort.

At the same time, Ghirahim does not neglect what's his. Aria is coming over, she's getting her makeup done and her dress styled, and he's taking her out for an extravagant night on the town.

Dinner, shopping, and an activity of Aria's choosing.

And of course, the gifts.

Ghirahim always has a few obscenely expensive presents for her, and always buys her something she wants on their shopping trip.

Aria's gifts are heartfelt, and they always startle Ghirahim. She remembers the things he says he likes and is interested in, and gets him little things related to those.

It makes him feel loved, and it's like a soothing balm on his soul.

Then the two return to Ghirahim's mansion and do some truly unspeakable horrors in the bedroom. Ah, romance. <3

Zant (+ Ghirahim...?)

Like Ghirahim, Zant gets a passionate night with Ganondorf and a big allowance, but it's not enough.

He needs more.

He used to peek in through the windows of Ganondorf's house while Ganondorf and Lyric spent the evening together, but Ganondorf put his foot down and told him if he didn't stop, he would leave Zant.

For awhile, he had a better time following Sonata around all day, but ever since that outdoorswoman threatened him, he has to settle for watching her through the bugs he installed in her house.

One year, Ghirahim was watching the television with the volume turned way up and crying into a glass of wine because Aria had to cancel. The very drunk Ghirahim invited Zant to choose a movie and also drink heavily with him.

The two proceeded to get absolutely shitfaced and devolve into a passionate make-out session on the couch while The End of Evangelion played in the background.

If either of them remember it, they're not saying anything.

Vaati and Linkle

Vaati is single, and horribly depressed about it.

Instead of sitting and feeling sorry for himself, every year he hosts a "singles night" event on his VTuber channel. He doesn't need a partner to have a good time!

If Linkle isn't busy that day, she usually agrees to co-host and do activities with him. Games, karaoke, you name it.

Vaati and Linkle always have a really good time as friends, and Vaati feels a little less lonely.

...sometimes, maybe you really don't need a partner to have a good time.

Groose + Cadence

Dinner in a nice restaurant, but with a bonus.

After dinner, Groose will pull a delighted Cadence around the entire town in a special rickshaw he made. It's got a custom paint job and everything. He calls it the Groosemobile.

Then it's a trip to the movies! Whoever got to pick dinner, the other person gets to choose the movie.

When they first started dating, Groose would pick everything himself. But he's learning! This is growth!

Finally, after the movies, Cadence will pull Groose home.

It always gets him a little flustered letting her take care of him that way...

Shad + Sonata

They watch movies at Sonata and Shad's house. 1999's The Mummy is a favorite.

They would do more, but Sonata is especially scared to leave the house this time of year because of her stalker, so Shad does his best to let her know she's safe.

Gifts are very dorky but heartfelt. Shad gives Sonata things he's found in the forest ruins, and Sonata gives him a new book or artifact that she knows he'll like.

Tingle

He stays home alone and marathons Sword Art Online again while crying into his pocky.
