I absolutely cannot wait for this election cycle to be over because genuinely what the fuck. I keep drawing parallels to the 2016 election because there are just so many similarities, but what I haven't said much about yet are the ways in which things are worse.

Having the majority of people I know or randomly encounter be Trump supporting Republicans is absolutely wild now, because sometimes they will just drop the most unhinged comments you could possibly imagine into casual conversation as if they're simply commenting that the grass is green or the weather is nice today, and every time it gives me this bizarre sensation like I am somehow the one living in a different plane of reality.

The Democrats are intentionally bringing undocumented people into the country and giving them drivers licenses so they can vote in the upcoming November election, and unless Donald Trump wins and is allowed to carry out his mass deportation plan the United States will never again have a Republican Christian president.

Joe Biden has been using the US military to release chemicals into the atmosphere for the past four years which have the ability to affect the weather in order to trick the American public into believing that climate change is real.

The attack on Donald Trump at his rally was rally a plot enacted by The Deep State, a secret group of powerful liberals who are running the country behind the scenes, and they don't want Trump to win in November because he is too powerful for them to control.

Joe Biden was replaced by a secret identical body double when he allegedly had Covid several weeks ago, and the double is the one who really dropped out of the election, gives all of his speeches, and does all of his interviews now for him.

Those are just the ones I heard last week.

And the reactions I get when contradicting these wild takes range from rage to mocking to a bizarre persecution complex. In 2016 and even in 2020 I was able to have a lot of productive conversations with many people who disagreed with me greatly on major issues, and that is largely not happening this time. If I dare to disagree, they turn to anger, attack me personally, or cry immediately that I'm denying their right to free speech. When bringing up my actual lived experiences with certain issues, I've been dismissed immediately as emotional and brainwashed. There is no room for discourse or discussion anymore, it has broken down.

I know that we've been going out of our way to call them weird, but we're not really talking about fringe weirdo conspiracy theorists anymore, we're talking about your neighbors and my coworkers and your aunt and the guy behind me in line at Aldi. These people are everywhere, they're 100% serious about believing in this shit, and they're voting Republican in November come hell or high water, truth be goddamed.

You know, the lives of millions and millions of women, LGBTQ+ people, undocumented people, and other marginalized peoples are at stake in this election but it feels increasingly like reality is at stake too.

"Alternative facts" sounded outrageous seven years ago...now they've made it a way of life. Unless we can correct course, and rapidly, it isn't going to get better.

Law used to get annoyed with these random acts of gentle aggression. 

Physical touch is something he doesn’t do well with, so he found it more shocking than anything. 

Human affection also doesn’t make much sense to him, and most things you do confuse him honestly (that’s part of what intrigued him most at the beginning of your relationship). He tries to understand, but he doesn’t.

At first, those silly things were met with harsh glares and “What are you doing?” or “Please, Y/N. I’m in the middle of something. I don’t have time for games.”

But he got used to it, eventually not commenting on it at all. Just letting you do your thing. 

He found himself anticipating these small acts of loving aggression at some point, though he’s not sure when that switch happened. 

Now, if you time it right, you’ll get a soft hum or an amused chuckle out of him.

Zoro

Zoro is confused by this. He does not understand the purpose of this activity.

“What are you doing?!” he demands, jerking away from you. “I’m not some hunk of meat, regardless of what you and Luffy think!”

That makes you laugh. “I dunno, it’s just fun to do!”

He scowls at that. “Zoro” and “fun” have a hard time going together sometimes. 

Every time you do it, you can feel his stiffen beneath you, but he stops jerking away from it. Instead, he just laughs. “You’re a strange one,” he’ll say softly, often pairing it with a kiss.

One day he randomly bites you, just a quick little nibble that makes you jump.

“See!?!” he yelled. “It’s weird!”

Shanks

The moment you do it to him, he laughs a big hearty laugh. “If you want attention, dear, just say so.”

And that begins the ongoing love aggression war. Sometimes he knocks his head against yours as you lean against him, or he’ll take your hand and act like he’s going to kiss it, only to gently bite down on your fingers and cause you to shriek with laughter. 

He’ll go in for a kiss, and then blow a raspberry an inch away from your face. He's always finding new ammunition to use

“You started this!” he’ll always say, laughing along with you. 

You don’t give up that easily, of course. You’ll squeeze and pull at his cheeks, or pinch his arm and giggle as he jumps at the surprise touch. 

There is never a bad moment for you all to play these pranks on each other. In fact, the more serious the moment, the harder you guys laugh when one of you pulls it off. You’re both good sports about it, and the game is always something fun for you all to do in times of boredom.

“i said,” he planted his two hands in front of his desk, staring down at you with his beautiful eyes of his. you stared back with nothing but confusion in your eyes.

instead of being sad and running away, you’re staring at your ex boyfriend with bitterness. the loving stare you’ve had towards jake was rather replaced as if he’s your enemy. yeah, you’ve been backstabbed.

“does it matter?” jake tilted his head, shrugging it off. “what matters is i got my money.” he flicked his bill right in front of your face, his tongue peaking when he mockingly smiled at you.

you glanced at the dollar and then back at jake.

“did i mean nothing to you?” you asked, your thoughts suddenly spilling from your lips. “was our relationship nothing to you?” a tear spilled out of your eyes. seconds later, multiple of them were easily sliding down your cheeks.

- if you ever need him, regardless of the reason he would drop everything he's doing to be at your side. especially if you're out with friends and need a safe sober person to drive you home. he's the first one there for you.

- expect him to send you tiktoks of animals being cute and a text following it saying "babe this is literally us."

- saying "i love you" came naturally to him. he definitely said it first because he probably let it slip out without thinking. he probably doesnt even notice he said it until you point it out.

- his one flaw... he's a little messy so you might have to clean up after him. however... he notices how you like to keep things and would actively work towards putting things where they go instead of just throwing things around.

- he also sometimes helps make meals with you. he's genuinely interested in cooking and thinks cooking together is a good way to spend time together. he makes the rice perfectly every time.

- of you go on his phone his photo gallery is filled with just pictures of you, and selfies you've taken of both of you together. pictures of you guys cuddling, kissing, making funny faces. it's all in there.

- probably has your contact name in his phone as "loml💗".

- he's genuinely convinced you guys will get married one day and have kids, and live in a nice house with a big yard and a dog.

- in his notes app he has saved a list of places you like eating at and your usual order for the place and randomly surpise you with food. even if he's on tour he'd order food to be delivered to you while in a different time zone.

- sometimes he worries about you eating or if you're drinking enough water. so he asks you all the time if you ate or if you've been sleeping well.

- he wears the things you get him all the time, it's so normal to him. and when he looks in the mirror and realizes he's wearing a necklace you got him he feels like he's carrying your love with him.

- jake really is just a love sick puppy boy who would drop anything and everything for you. he's so unbelievably in love it's so sweet.

A relationship with Riki feels like dating your best friend. He is so playful around you that unconsciously, he will bring out your inner child. He will make you show the best side of yourself.

He will force you to do TikTok dances with him, and when he comes across a new trend, he will persuade you to do it with him, and after a lot of kisses and praying, you will accept. As the perfectionist dancer Riki is, he will point out that you are doing a step wrong. The good thing is that he will patiently help you master the moves flawlessly. The problem comes when you start recording, and somehow something will go wrong, and I am not talking about the dancing part, but I am talking about falling and injuring a leg or the phone falling and the screen breaking into million pieces.

He playfully pokes your cheeks at unexpected moments throughout the day. He understands that you might find it slightly bothersome, but deep down, he knows you secretly enjoy it. However, if he ever notices someone else, other than him, poking your cheeks, he becomes protective and possessive.

Aggression is his love language (on the good side dw). He will jump and attack you with his love without a second thought, especially if he needs your attention, which is ALWAYS.

I'm convinced that if the Jedi were a little more unhinged and thirsty that the clone wars never would have happened. Hear me out!

My timeline is more than likely going to be completely off on this, but just follow me here.

Like imagine that Mace Windu - or another jedi - for instance is a Senior Padawan or freshly knighted and he comes across the Haat Mando'ade. Let's say he sees Mand'alor Mereel and is just like "smash". Then he sneaks a picture and posts it onto the Jedi.net or whatever and with the picture puts "Smash" and then a poll that has two options: "Smash" and "Pass". Then lets say he sees Montross and is like "Hard Pass" and sneaks a picture of him as well and puts it up with "PASS" and adds in the comments that he has some rancid-ass vibes.

Then all the jedi respond by choosing "Pass" in the poll thingy and they all follow it up in the comments with "100% rancid vibes" and like "stay away" and "danger". Then there is one particular unhinged, thirsty Jedi that's like. "100% PASS... but also like, I could fix him though". And the other Jedi are like "Soldier down!" and "Force-speed Pilgrim!" and "RIP in the chat". Then that same Jedi and like "Okay, maybe I couldn't fix him, but like.... he could fix me!". The follow up responses are just like "RRRIIIIPPP" and "No, don't go to the darkside!" and like "You're taste just went and burned alive on Mustafar."

And like random people will be so confused because they'll hear random Jedi that are on missions together just out of nowhere say "Smash" or they'll randomly hear "Pass" and have no karking clue as to what they mean by that. 'Cause it's so out of context and the entire galaxy beliefs that they're magical celibate monks.

Then somehow the jedi's habit of doing that with just random ass people in the galaxy gets leaked and/or the Haat Mando'ade hack into their system and find it and they end up in tears of laughter and confusion. Somehow that happening saves the universe or something.

Somehow this leads to them figuring out that he's a sith lord and they off him with the help of the Haat Mando'ade that are just kind of there. 'Cause, these Jedi are unhinged, need an actual night of sleep, like a three month vacation at minimum, and obviously need at least one Haat Mando'ade around to keep them from getting themselves killed by throwing themselves off of karking 300+ story buildings without a jetpack and refusing to wear armor! So, they've decided to adopt/marry the lot of them and are refusing to return them to the Republic. The Jedi Order now belong to the Haat Mando'ade now and they will fight you to keep them.

And yeah, they all just kinda vibe together and save the universe and go on to kark some slavers up.

Hi kit, do you know how to tell if a person sending asks saying they need donations for their family in gaza, is fake?

Cuz someone sent me an ask and I’ve reblogged it but I was going through the comments and there a several blocked and one of them says that the op is scamming people.

I know there are ppl like this that are that horrible, but I wonder if you know how tell them apart ? Or if anyone knows for that matter. Cuz I don’t want to mislead people and give them the wrong information or anything.

hi, honey! this is gonna be all over the place but. i've had this very thing happen to me before as well, maybe three or so asks just like the one you received. i did fall for the first one, but once you see them over and over again, i think it can get easier to tell when it's a scam. one thing to note is when the actual account began to post. i notice a lot of these accounts began to post in recent days or weeks. at the time that i donated to the first person who sent me an ask like this, it was february, and they began to post around mid january. the next tell is one i see a lot, where they'll reblog a bunch of things about palestine, but they will all be in a matter of hours, days, etc. usually never weeks (and also, you'll see that they randomly begin to reblog in very recent days. ex. all their reblogs are from three days ago and onward). one more thing: look at their posts (not their reblogs. their actual posts), and check if it says "some replies may have been blocked, deleted, removed, etc). absolutely, 100% not a good sign. chances are, replies are being removed by the op because they're getting called out for scamming.

the structure of the actual ask is also a dead giveaway. if it ends in "my goal is x amount of money," usually somewhere in the hundreds or thousands, not a good sign. if they are asking you to respond to their ask PRIVATELY, not a good sign. if you copy part of their ask and paste it into tumblr or do an internet search, and you see it elsewhere, not a good sign! these blogs will go around copying the same message into people's inboxes. chances are, someone else on tumblr has posted about the very person who sent you the ask, OR, you will find it somewhere else on the internet, etc a gofundme (which, by the way, is where most of these scammers obtain their story or pictures. they'll find it in gofundmes as i said, articles, etc). before you engage, copy the username of the person who sent you the ask, and paste it into the tumblr search bar. this is how i found out that the first person who sent an ask like this to me was a scammer.

this post here (which i absolutely implore you to read, as it captures what i want to say here much better than i'm doing so right now) explains why there is an abundance of people on tumblr sending asks like this in people's inboxes. for one thing, they target popular tags (ex. literally, the "palestine" or "gaza" tags, or any tag that may be trending at the time), or, they go for blogs who are consistently reblogging and/or uploading content related to the genocide. why? because they're taking advantage of the fact that you want to make a change in regards to what's going on. and if that's the case, what would stop you from donating to someone "in need," right?

if you want my honest opinion, if someone is sending you an ask about this on tumblr at all, it's likely not real. to put it into perspective: people who are really in gaza and want to escape, raise money, etc, will go to big network places such as gofundme, because there are better chances of them raising actual money in general, but in a short period of time. as opposed to asking people individually, their cause will be more widespread, and more people will see it. not only that: places like gofundme are pros at figuring out what's a scam and what's not. op in the above post noted this, and how places like gofundme will remove causes that are clearly scams. that's why scammers avoid places like this at all, and go to places like tumblr, where it isn't so easy for the actual site to remove their post. it's only when people on the app pick up on it, that scammers' facades fall. does that make sense?

i feel like this sort of jumped around, but i hope i was able to clarify what you were asking anyway. if someone feels the need to add onto this, please do, and if i need to clarify any point i made, etc, please let me know! ♡

you and ellie had been dating for eleven months and it had been the best eleven months of both your lives. you shared a passion for entertainment, while you write poems and stories, ellie played games and streamed to thousands of people

her stream knew she wasn’t single, small slip ups every now and then. the door randomly opening and a black kitten prancing through the slit just for the door to close again

or whenever someone asked about her day and she may or may not have told them about her date with a very pretty lady.

ellie knew she wanted her fans to know her partner and what better way than to stream with you. the starting soon screen staring back at the two of you as you sat in front of the screens

playing sims with a special guest

that was the stream title, ellie usually had guest on her stream. whether it was her best friends dina and jesse in person or people she met online through the mic. it was rare for ellie to do a lone stream

so, when the clock on her desk turned 6pm, the girl started up the stream. her hand carefully placed on your thigh as you both welcome the viewers.

many people already knew who you were, enjoying your poetry books or romance novels (that just so happened to be proudly presented in the background of ellie’s stream at all time).

ellie introduced you, saying how exciting it was to have such an aspiring writer on her stream. around ten minutes into the livestream, you both finally started playing. mutually agreeing to make each others characters. you made ellie’s and she made yours.

however, what the stream wasn’t expecting was ellie to change the relationship of the two sims characters to ‘married’. everyone took note of the way you smiled with a roll of you eyes, your own arm bumping into your girlfriends

“oh did i forget to mention that y/n is my girlfriend?” ellie asked nonchalantly, the chat going absolutely crazy as you two just smiled.

you played for just under two hours, creating a beautiful home and living a wonderful life. it’s safe to say chat managed to make some beautiful edits of you both and everyone swooned over both yours and ellies instagram posts.

Hi, Lou. First of all, I'd like to say that I love your stories and edits, you are a very valuable member of this fandom and I'm so, so sorry for all those negative comments about your kinktober. It's just that, like you said, nothing similar to this happened during last year's Kinktober and you're right. It was very enjoyable. (Tina was so right when she predicted this fr she must be a prescient witch lol) But I feel like someone or some people, idk if it started with one person randomly spreading this "canon-compliant-character-writing-obligation- and bullying any writer who does otherwise" or if it was a group of people, but I'm so disappoint to see it. Like, think about it, writers take their time out of their very busy lives and create something for you, for free, and then having to face negativity for it? Everyone is responsible for the content they consume and I'm pretty sure everyone is also capable of shaping their dash according to it. Do you add necessary content warnings? Yes. Do they not like it? They should very calmly scroll away or block. Like if you were a farmer, this blog would be your garden, and it is no one's business what you plant in it. Corroborating an idea without thinking about the meaning behind it is getting more and more common and it's not alright. In the word "understand", there is a "stand" in the end, meaning "stop and process, digest" what has been said to you, or what you read, and some people simply don't do it. (There is also a similar example in German but my German is terrible so I'll avoid illustrating.) People sadly don't think about the potential outcomes of their words. There are, unfortunately, writers who cannot handle the negativity and deactivate. I hope you will not be one of them because, like I said, you are important and needed here. Take care 💗

What are your headcanons for someone befriending a Vaxasaurian Aka Humungousaur?

-"They do move in herds."

-Personal headcanon that Vaxasaurians do most stuff in groups and as such, relationships and bonds are very important to them.

-That means doing the most mundane shit together. Going to the bank, going grocery shopping, taking out the trash, raking leaves and so on. Most of the time you're just sitting on their shoulder because you get to places faster that way.

-It kinda feels like having a bodyguard as your best friend but honestly they like feeling like they are protecting you, it makes them feel strong and useful. Terradino (their home planet) is one big battle royale where only the strong survive so being able to protect someone is a nice change of pace.

-They like to roughhouse but are always hyperaware of how fragile you are in comparison to them. The most they will do is gently push you over, using only one finger. Meanwhile, if you start roughhousing with them, then they will act as if you are they equal and pretend to take damage from your tiny human fists.

-"Wow, please hold back just a little, buddy, you're going to turn me into a giant bruise."

-Otherwise, they like to display and show off their strength to you. If they are fighting someone, they will frequently look over towards you to make sure that you're watching. They also request that you film their fights. Get a good angle of them throttling this guy, will you?

-Because of their immense size, the two of you mainly hang out outside. If there's a movie you want to watch then you simply go to the movie drive-in. You always gets the best seats since no one wants to mess with a giant dino.

-Does your bedroom have a window? Because if it does then there are going to be plenty of times where your friend wakes you up by just reaching inside and plucking you straight out of bed.

-"Dude! You won't believe what happened! So just earlier I- Stop screaming, I'm telling you a story." "MY WINDOW!" "Damn, my bad, didn't mean to break it. Don't worry though, I'll replace it. Now, where were I?"

-If you somehow manage to convince them not to do that, then they will resort to waking you up by stomping their feet and creating a mini-earthquake. Your neighbors hate you.

-Randomly tells you the most wack stories about their homeplanet and childhood and doesn't even realize how odd they are to you.

-"I think I got into wrestling when I was five? It was around the time my mom ate my younger brother so maybe five and a half?" "Your mom did what now?"

-Sometimes you think they're messing with you, but they aren't. All those stories are 100% true and it's honestly a miracle that they turned out so normal by human standards. When you comment about this they just shrug their shoulders and say it's no big deal.

9. worst part of canon: we all know about this... taka(+orochimaru)s characterization thrown away in the war for jokes or to act as plot devices... i fear i may never forgive kishimoto. the atmosphere wasnt so tense that we needed karin to be crazy about sasuke again + that overt about wanting sasuke to bite her (?!). why is suigetsu acting like he wasnt captured and experimented on by orochimaru but worked for him like karin. why is juugo acting like sasuke is kimimaro when he clearly made the difference before. orochimarus weirdass change of heart because we needed the hokages to show up. or even suigetsu randomly stumbling upon a convenient scroll detailing how to undo shiki fuujin and his first thought (before he meets sasuke again) is to pocket it because it would be useful for sasuke?? like why was it in suigetsus hideout of all places. why does suigetsu even know what it means. im sorry i just dont think orochimaru discussed the matter of his arms & the first 4 hokages souls over the vivisection table and i dont believe sasuke ever brought it up during hebitaka because WHY WOULD HEEE. etc etc etc like am i making sense? they really are just there to move the plot along and play out a joke once in a while. nothing about what happened when taka separated matters at all in the war theyre barely even characters

10. worst part of fanon: 100% the tendency to make everyone friends i think its so boring!!! like in what world are taka invited to karuis wedding? in what world is karin a guest star on the real housewives of konoha (=joining them for brunch). what exactly do temari and karin have in common other than both having the Kishimoto Woman Personality Type #1.

its so much more fun to have characters who just cant stand each other. naruto dislikes taka for literally no reason and its hilarious we should keep it that way. no way im ever believing karui genuinely befriends sakura i think they should HATE having to see each other all the time because their girls are besties. it will always feel more natural &balanced to me + im more inclined to believe 2 characters whove never talked to each other could be great friends if youve also considered who they DONT mesh with at all.
