Okay watched the movie a second time. Because I'm currently Very Normal about this movie. I have more things to say about Gwen.

Spoiler under cut.

Yeah, her story still tragic. But also so interesting! But also so much more ouch now that i knew what was coming. And also she's such a badass. She's such a spider, it's awesome. I love the way she moves?? It's so fluid. These animations are going to be my death.

(also is it like, a genetics things that all spideys need to make extremely dumb decisions??? Does that come with the mutation?? or is it like a pree-requiste?? Gwen my beloved emo-spider, you are an idiot)

(this is going to be long. Sorry. i do not know how to be concise and this is slowly turning into a full analyse of Gwen throughout the movie bc my brain says so.)

The start of the movie? Goddamit. I had forgotten how much the start had foreshadowed. She basically said from the start 'I hurt my friends and I can't stop it and I hate that'. Idk that she's so self aware about how much she fucked that up makes it worse for me? Because it's not even a 'I didn't know better'. It's a 'I know. I know it's fucked up. And I don't know how to do this and i don't know how to undo the damage'. (She literally said that last part in her confrontation with her dad)('i don't know how to fix this') (she also said that yeah, she knew about Miles and the wrong spider, but she didn't know how to say it. Which. Fair. How do you tell someone 'hey you're an anamoly that shouldn't exist and your Spiderman had to die because of that and another world is without a spider because of that'? Well you don't do it like Miguel did, that for sure lol)

(Literally my only beef with this movie is that it all makes so much sense. All of their actions fit. Even Peter B who i would have the most beef with for not saying anything - if he was with Miguel while the world fell apart then yeah - that will do something to you and your views on how 'canon' works) (gotta admit the whole Miguel and Peter dynamic is pure gold, i loved every second of it)

Omg img img her first solo fight we see???? So gooood!! The way she looks at the helicopter and searches for the rythm with her drums to find her timing? so fucking good. the whole 'huh calling normally works' 'yep it did'? That's such a spidey move. oh and when Miguel came to take over and the 'knock yourself out' bit? I was laughing even though i knew it was coming, she's such a lil shit i love it.

(Blue Panther? DARK GARFIELD? Gwen there was no need to massacre Miguel in the first five minutes, he was needed for the rest of the movie)

Also how the whole colourscheme changed when she had the mask on and was Spider women. It felt like she was breathing again, and without the mask she was just a lil emo teenager with a few identity issues and in the mask? So much more confident.

(Do i love in general just the whole bit of people hiding themselves behind their masks and being like that second persona and then struggling with the fact that they can talk to nobody about both parts of themself? yes i do. I love it escpacially if it's also visually so satisfying. This movie haunts me)

She and Miles are like. Parallels?

Both her and Miles are so lonely. The got a glimpse of what it could be not to be lonely and then they had to give it up. Miles has been so desperate he gave up ART do go find a way to travel dimensions. ART. My boy loves his art.

Gwen is the kid that doesn't have support from home, nobody to tell her 'go do your thing i love you regardless' and she's desperate for that approval and support (without wanting to aknowldege or show that of course). She's the one that accepts the narrative of 'canon' because that's her world. That's the condition for the support she currently gets. She and Miles have about the same amount of idea what they're doing at that point. She has Spideys around her. Miles has his family. Both currently ehh with a rocky relationship to them.

But when Miles confronts his mom, she sents him on his way with like a 'look after yourself and come back to me'. After Gwen goes against her spidey ppl, she gets blamed for the whole thing and then thrown out.

(not saying that Miles didn't have it rough or that Gwen was innocent in that. I'm just looking at the parallels they have because this movie has so freaking many, i can't.)

And they both care so much for each other.

LIke the moment she sees him she just gets super excited? And wants to tell him all the stuff she's learning? You rarely see her in the movies as carefree and as happy as with Miles. (hobie. Hobie is a different thing) My point being, she cares really, really deeply about miles (i do not care if romantic or nah, they mean a lot to each other) and so does Miles.

Which makes the whole betrayal thing so much worse.

(the heartbroken face from Miles when he figured it out? The heart broken face from her when she tries to go against her orders the first time and catches him and he cuts himself lose? Because it's too little too late? Ugh. My poor heart. My poor spider children.)

(Also can i say how cute it was that despite all that happened both her and Peter B always were so proud of Miles? Like Gwen saw him do what she so feared and disrupt a canon event and all she can say is 'what i always think - that you're awesome.'??? Ugh. Peter B trying to catch Miles and having to stop like every three seconds because he's so proud of Miles for coming so far? I'm yet undecided if that is hilarious or hurty ouch lol)

But also like there are two more layers to her whole desperation that i forgot about in my first ramble?

Her Peter died. Her best friend died. We don't know if someonelse died (i don't think so? I don't know what happened to Aunt May. Oh fuck now i'm thinking about what happened to Spider Gwens Aunt May. Nooooo) but even then. Her best friend died, she had a hand in it (no matter how little she could do about it) and now she's searched for murder. Of course she does everything she can to keep Miles safe. Away from all that could annihalte him. For the, yeah, selfish reason of not wanting to lose another friend. No matter the cost.

And the next thing she learns? In nearly every other universe she's dead. Everywhere else is it like a death sentence for Gwen Stacy to fall for Spider-man. Sure, must be weird to have endless Peters. How weird is it gonna be to know that you're destinied to die in every other universe? (I think that's also why she's so ready to accept that she's gonna lose her dad. Because one, she already lost him (in a way) and two, once you accepted that you were destinied to die yourself everywhere else i think you're morals are going to be funky lol) (oh damn now that i think about it does she blame herself for Peter?? because normally it's her that dies and here it was the other way around? That Peter's death is her fault? Oh no. (i know this isn't stated in the movie, that's just my brain) but oh no)

The sent her home scene was even worse than I had remembered. The whole chase long she tries to say 'hey my gut tells me this is wrong' and got told 'no. Use your head.'

(jess looking at you, I'm having words with you and Miguel about how you treated my baby spiders)

and despite that she tries? The mirrored scene of her catching Miles how Miles had caught her earlier? (let's not talk about the heart attacks i had the whole movie long every time she was falling sheesh) And yeah, it wasn't enough. She hurt Miles real bad. And then later on the train? (Miguel we got a problem with each other, I don't care about your trauma) that was the same thing she told herself over and over again (as seen later in the scene with her father, oh dammit that scene with her father) and Miles was so right when he said 'I'm telling my own story'. But both Peter B. And Gwen looked so proud of him? Anyways, not the point. What Miles said definitely had an impact.

So when he tries to go home? She does what she avoided the whole movie long. She spoke up. Against Miguel. Against Jess. Not the rules she had observed from others, not the rules that had been told to her. She looks at them, has found her own morals, her own rules, her own story (sensing a theme in the story here? Hehe) and tells them, no this is wrong and 'Aren't we supposed to be the good guys?'

Thats the point where Miguel blames all the fault on her. (Very mature from a guy that loved to point out how childish everyone else is and that Miles is just a little kid hmmm) and what happens? She gets sent home.

Remember? The place she's been visibly scared off. Where she literally says in the movie 'you can't sent me back'. They stranded her. (fuuuuck that scene where she just stood there and 'access denied' and then she threw that container in frustration? idk what her plan was, but she went back to get the picture of Miles and her, fully ready to either be arrested or to never come back. That scene with her faaaather, omg)

also my original point of how torn she is - yeah. Like when she visited Miles and went from yeah come on let's go, to when she was alone and saw that she fucked up? She panicked. Like, she and Miles had literally the exact same reaction as they watched the footage. And afterward? When she ended the call? My girl nearly cried. Like her whole arc was kinda built around the same thing Miles first arc was built around - not knowing what to do, who to be. Because that was the theme of the movie. The finding your own story.

The talk with her dad was so good. He was so tired and worried and she (understandbly) wary. The admission 'If only tried to be a spider-women that you would approve of and i failed even at that'. Her father, the source of her rules and morels looking at her and telling her 'I quit. Do what you need to do'. Oh and then the parallel with how she had looked at him the first time she stepped trough the portal and then the second time and the 'I'm coming back'. She fled her past and now she's ready to face her fight.

The first part was about how everybody deserved a mentor and nobody was truly alone.

The second part was about finding their own stories, their own choices. That's why Hobie was such an important character btw. (Promise, different post)

The first movie was the 'help them find their wings'.

The second part was 'let them fly'.

okay i can't stop about this movie. I need to talk about Gwen.

Okay. Gwen's story was so fucking heartbreaking. i can't get over it. There more i think about it the worse it gets.

(It's great. I love it. I love her. It's very much ouch in the feelings department.)

Like. She fucked up real bad, she did, but her story is so tragic and it makes so much sense for her to react like she did. Lost her best friend, watched him die in an attempt to be like her because of injuries she was parly at fault for (what a fucking nightmare of it's own) watched her own father try to catch spider-women for his murder, like that gotta fuck with you so bad. And then? Finally she made a friend again. And then this friend is across another fucking dimension. And more fucked up shit starts to happen. Her own father, that we get showed how much he means to her, how he was her light and pulled her out of her spiralling, he was ready to call her in. She told him who she was and he decided on calling her in. It broke him, that much was clear but she pleaded with him and he just. Called her in. Like. Her last resort, her last island proved to her that he couldn't be safe for her. (fuck the scene broke my heart)

And then more and more happens and she doesn't even can go home anymore because the worst thing that all Spiderpeople fear happened to her - her identity got leaked (or so she thinks). There's a reason why she was so ready to abandon her own world and flee. There was, in that moment, nothing left for her. She's a teenager, a wanted criminal.

(the whole sending her back was super hard to watch, back to a world that had not a single thread of safety for her anymore. Where she couldn't escape, neither in her hero nor her civilian persona. Nightmare)

She appearntly found a refuge with Hobie that took her under his wing (Hobie is the best, whole different thing) and then.

Then.

Then she's getting told she has to let her father die??? And has to let the one friend she really made, she really trusted, she had to let him suffer because otherwise the multiverse would explode? Wasn't allowed to tell him anything? She has to betray him? Like. Every new thing about her story just makes it more tragic. She doesn't have the room for failure anymore and yeah. I think what Miles did to save the Captain was right. But for how desperate Gwen was? That was her new reality. Canon events. She needed to let them happen. That was what she was told, what her safety and her new life depended on. Those were the rules, there was no way around it. What everyone around her, the Spiderpeople that were the only ones around her, believed.

(Again. Hobie. Different story. Have i mentioned that i love him?)

(Fuck the talk with her father? Where she directly said 'you thaught to do things by the book'? It made so much more sense for me why she was so ready to follow those new rules. Because that's what she thought was the way to make it right. And her father then telling her 'I quit'? Essentially telling her 'don't mind those rules'? ugh.)

She's trying so hard and it does something to me to watch her struggle so desperately with everything. She's torn between what she needs to do with no idea what right or wrong even is anymore, and it was so plain how desperate she was to prove herself. How confident she was infront of Miles, how different she was with the elder spiderfolks just a minute later, how much she hides herself behind the mask (hehe get it? Sorry). The way it cracked when she thought Miles had gotten himself killed? My girl abandoned all pretenses, you can hear the panic in her voice.

Like. Among all of the main spiderpeople we interact with? She's also just a kid. With no one in her corner (I'm not starting about Hobie, bc i won't stop lol, that's his own post), she can't even go home. The new people she has, their love is in a way very much conditional.

And yeah i think that if she'd really talked to her friends, talked to Miles about what was going on, much could've been better. But then - what in her life would've told her that to be a good idea? Every experience so far had taught her the exact opposite.

So her last scene there? Where she finally admitted that she did have people in her corner, that there were folks that would help her, when she realized what her arc the whole movie was about?

'I always wanted to join a band. I created my own.'

That was so satisfying.

every new discovery is just a reminder by amaranthinecanicular - grian begins pulling alternate versions of the hermits from the life series into the server. he does save a lot of them, but at what cost? it does end on a cliffhanger but this is genuinely one of the most captivating oneshots i've ever read... argghhh

The Fair and the Brave and the Good by @slashmagpie - an afterlife smp longfic centered around the shelby, scott, and sausage. i have never watched afterlife smp before in my LIFE and this is still one of my favorite pieces of literature ever. the characters and worldbuilding is impeccable and perfect if you like something dark with themes of hope and renewal.

Two Can Keep a Secret (If One of Them is Red) by anonymous secretmcblog - a 3L oneshot! ren suspects grian has stockholm syndrome with his pact to stay with scar, but his expectations are wrong. a truly excellent read and one of them first fics i've read! i still go back to reread it from time to time

Ok great! I haven’t written it yet, but since I plan on writing EVERYTHING down, it will probably be long, so strap in. Ps. This probably won’t be very interesting, it’s not that crazy of a story but it’s one of the only things I can remember in its entirety since like I always say, I have a horrible memory for the most part so I’m proud I haven’t forgotten yet. Anyway, here’s the story…

So I have a bad sleep schedule and I wake up at 2pm every day. (I dont think it’s THAT bad but it could be better. I just don’t really do anything for me to have to wake up early.) Anyway, I wake up, make my bed, and head to the bathroom as one does. I start brushing my teeth with my phone next to the sink to count the two minutes for my brushing, so as I’m doing that, I’m scrolling through my notifications to see if there was anything I missed. When I tell you I had SO MANY notifications from this app, i was scrolling through so much. Now remember, I’m just scrolling my notification wall so I can’t see the whole posts, just a little bit of what was written. But one notification in particular caught my eye, a blog answered an ask that said “I KNEW IT! FINALLY.” And I was like, they knew what? What in the world happened? So I head over to Instagram and this was I think the first thing I see:

Now as you can tell, this photo is a bit dark and I always have my darkness turned down, so I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I then turned my brightness all the way up and my jaw dropped. Good thing I was home alone bc I remember yelling at the top of my lungs “THEY GOT MARRIED!” I was so ecstatic, I immediately stopped brushing my teeth and ran to my couch. I finally went to see all the tumblr posts I missed and it was so bizarre seeing everyone and myself included freak out over this. (Just to add, they posted this around 12-1pm my time so it wasnt too far after.) After some time, I finally got the courage to go to the actual insta post they made since I was just seeing reposts of it. I think I spent multiple minutes looking at each and every photo in that slide individually and I was physically shaking, not an exaggeration. And I was like omg I can’t believe this is happening. I then head over Twitter after some time and they straight up nuked my entire home feed. That’s when I started seeing people say the possibility of it being a prank. Then if I’m being honest, a part of me was like, what if this is a prank? But I quickly snapped out of it within seconds lol. Then I got another tumblr notification showing that the smosh mouth was premiering at I think it was 3 or 4 pm, and I completely forgot it was Monday. So if I recall correctly, it was still around 45 minutes away. So I tried to calm myself down (still haven’t lol) and I’m just still scrolling through everyone’s reactions until the time came. I go to the premiere and after a minute or two, the countdown started… when the podcast faded into angela dressed as Shayne, I’m not gonna lie, my heart sank. I truly believed they were talking about the wedding and doing a tell all. Looking back, that was absolutely hilarious, but at the time I was not laughing. Do you know how long that 45 minutes waiting for the podcast felt? It felt like 45 DAYS, so to get that I was very disappointed. But as it was going on, I started to ease up a bit and admit that they got me good. Then towards the end of the episode when Amanda and Shayne came in, I really thought they were gonna do another REAL hour of the pod, but they just stayed to end the video. My poor heart was really going through it that day. And the funny part of it is that there was a music award show I was planning on watching that came out like 2 hours later. Do you think I payed any attention to that? No. My brain was on shourtney the entire day year. I still can’t tell you how that award went lol. But anyway, I was just freaking out and I literally could not relax. I just kept going through everyone’s posts about it and my mind was just 100% Courtney and Shayne to 0% anything else. Then, at around 11 pm, Shayne posted this

I seen a lot of people say they thought this whole thing was fake bc they never kissed in any of the photos, so then he drops this. When I seen it, I felt like I just had seen the cutest group of puppies being adorable and my heart started fluttering. Since that I think was the last new post of that day, my story pretty much ends there. And if you’re wondering how I felt about the other stuff like the other batch of wedding photos, the celebration, and the bachelorette/bachelor party, it was pretty much the same thing, but on a bit tamer level bc nothing will ever beat how I felt April 1st. But yeah, I hope you enjoyed this, I tried to be as descriptive as possible so I know there’s a lot of details that could’ve been left out, but I wanted you to try to be immersed in how I felt as much as possible 😊👍

sam left when sweetheart was 9-10 ish

their parents had sam YOUNG like teenagers

but they had sweetheart when they were like late 20s early 30s

ANYWAY TIME SKIP TO CURRENTLY

Sam,darlin, sweetheart and Milo and sweetheart are at a random bowling alley and they’re all having fun.

it’s milo’s turn and sam is getting drinks

darlin is sitting down and sweetheart is just watching when their gaze is looking round and they see an ODDLY familiar face with a few people

it’s their brother, hunter (they have conservative, abusive AND southern parents let’s be real)

hunter is a informed unempowered but he’s basically a pro and very knowledgeable of magic and magical races.

hunter is the middle child, sweetheart being the youngest. sam being the oldest

sam came back and saw sweetheart looking shocked and almost scared

he turned and saw him and was very confused

hunter is an asshole, their parents favorited him bc he took the family trade etc

sweetheart ran to the bathroom and was just nervous, milo turned to see something was going on and sweetheart was upset.

milo did NOT like hunter, he cursed him out for a bit .

“what the fucking hell did you say to them asshole? who do you think you are?” he pushed hunter by the shoulder, sam had to stop him.

hunter has a southern accent as well but more diluted than sam’s.

tank was behind milo but definitely ready to throw hands.

sam remembered when he reunited with sweetheart a few years back and they had a very similar reaction.

sweetheart had been abandoned by their family a few times. and it’s hurt milo and sam to see them like this.

“what did i do?” hunter would start and sam would scold him (like the older brother he is)

“do.not.start.” sam would say VERY angrily

“i thought you guys would be happy to see me..” he would be VERY sarcastic.

sam nudged him angrily

“why do you think you can just waltz back here just because- (sweetheart) wasn’t prepared for that!” sam scolded again

“well i didn’t mean to sammy-boy it just happened.” sam would scowl “oh get over it they’ve always been a crybaby.” hunter would say again.

MILO WAS NOT HAVING IT

“you better take my mates name out of your mouth before i put my fist in it.” he got ANGRY

“mate? well that’s hilarious.. (sweetheart)? keeping a relationship? please.”

sam had to hold milo back to keep him from pouncing on hunter.

“milo what— hunter— why—“ they were shocked to see hunters nose bleeding and milo with a bruised fist.

they were almost disappointed, but they were definitely in a bad mood.

all three of the siblings were standing side by side and their resemblances were uncanny. it was almost funny.

“woah..” darlin whispered.

“lets just go home.” sweetheart whispered grumpily.

hunter sighed, almost upset like he felt bad.

“i don’t wanna hear it hunter..” they blew him off..

sam looked angrily at hunter again.

milo and sweetheart went home- not without sweetheart reading him the riot act about how he shouldn’t have punched him how he wasn’t worth it.

“what the hell were you thinking coming to the place you knew we were?” sam spat

hunter didn’t have an answer

“it— i— i haven’t seen y’all in a while..” hunter whispered embarrassed his accent making it hard to hear him with all the mumbling.

sam almost felt bad for him.

“do us all a favor and go back home. your not wanted here, go help dad and be the golden child.” hunters head dropped.

sam almost regretted saying it but he held his ground. hunter walked away.

Single father Sendak doesn't know what to do when his half human daughter gets her cycle for the first time. I thought it would be funny and maybe even cute.

Sure thing! I don't think he would necessarily be completely clueless bc he had a human mate, but I definitely have a pretty good idea of what would happen. I tried to make it as hilarious towards the beginning but it ends up as being heartwarming since I wasn't able to come up with a hilarious ending, I hope that's okay with you 😅

Sendak would do anything for his daughter and everyone knew it, if anyone so much as made her cry they would wish that they had never been born. (Y/n) was Sendak's little girl and he would do anything for her; he raised her with a mixture of gentleness, support, responsibility, stability, boundaries and how to respect others. He never treated her harshly because he didn't want her to grow up hating him; it would kill him if she resented him, although he wasn't the perfect parent and he definitely made a few mistakes along the way. Sendak had to raise (Y/n) on his own ever since his wife died during childbirth, before (M/n) took her last breath he promised her that he would raise their daughter to be a wonderful person. Since (Y/n) was half human she had a few physical human traits and aged at a rate that was normal for human children, and she looked mostly galra except for her human shaped ears, her (E/c) eyes and (H/c) hair.

The years flew by in what felt like an instant to Sendak and it wasn't long before (Y/n) turned thirteen years old, he could never regret being a father and he always had the inkling that his late wife had been looking over them the entire time. (Y/n) loved her father even though he could be a little strict sometimes, he was always there for her no matter what she was going through. She knew her father used to be a commander in the galra empire and she grew up knowing that her mother was an angel, when she was twelve her father told her the truth because he thought she was old enough to handle it; they both avoided each other for a couple of days and (Y/n) blamed herself for her mother's death, but Sendak comforted her, assuring her that she shouldn't regret something that she couldn't control. Sendak wasn't exactly sure how much of (Y/n) was human and there was one thing he hoped wouldn't happen to her, unfortunately his luck ran out one day in particular. (Y/n) hadn't felt very good since she woke up but when her father asked her about it she assured him that she would be fine, alas as the hours passed her lower abdomen began to hurt worse.

She remembered when she received a couple of anatomy lessons from her governess the previous year, one about galra anatomy and the other about human anatomy. Ever since she was little she knew that she was half human, one of her favorite things was when her father told her about back when he and (M/n) were getting to know each other. When the pain became too much for her to handle (Y/n) went to the bathroom and that was when she saw it, blood stains on the crotch of her underwear. During her human anatomy lesson she'd been taught about menstruation, unfortunately she wasn't paying much attention to that part of the lesson; she started to cry while she sat on the toilet because she felt really emotional all of a sudden, then it dawned on her why she'd felt strange for the past week. It took her a few minutes to calm down, then (Y/n) reached for her phone so she could text her father and thankfully it wasn't long before he arrived at the bathroom to help her in any way he could, even though he wouldn't actually be in there to help her.

“Are you alright in there, (Y/n)?” Sendak questioned while he stood on the opposite side of the bathroom door, speaking loud enough for his daughter to hear him; when he received the text about her bleeding all of a sudden he nearly had a heart attack, although she needed him then more than ever.

“No, I'm bleeding! I- I think that I'm dying! I'm sorry, daddy!” (Y/n) replied loudly enough for her father to hear before she broke down crying again; she was scared because she knew that spontaneous bleeding always meant death if it wasn't stopped, and she wasn't entirely sure where she was bleeding from.

Sendak didn't know how to respond or what to do; he remembered that his late wife had periods every month, but all he remembered was providing pads for her and that she bled for one week every month. He just stood there in front of the bathroom door, attempting to remember what (M/n) had to do whenever she got her period. Cramps were involved and they always cuddled after she came out of the bathroom, but as to what (M/n) did in the bathroom he didn't know. (Y/n) knew that her father was still standing in front of the bathroom door, most likely trying to figure out how to help her. She should have seen it coming, in fact she should have known that she would get a period, but Sendak never saw fit to explain it to her because he didn't think that she would actually start her period.

“I'm not going to die, am I?” (Y/n) asked loudly enough for her father to hear again, her voice wavering as she spoke; she really did feel like she was going to die and it scared her.

“No, you're not going to die. What you're going through is perfectly normal, sort of.” Sendak assured her, feeling guilty for not warning his daughter that she might get her period.

“Perfectly normal?! How the quiznack is bleeding normal?” (Y/n) questioned firmly; she was pissed that he didn't tell her that she would just randomly start bleeding one day without getting injured, although to be fair he never thought she would actually get her period seeing as she was only half human.

“What you're experiencing is called menstruation, your mother went through it every month until she got pregnant. Stay there, I'm going to go see if I still have any of her pads.” Sendak said before he left, hoping to find the rest of (M/n's) pads that he'd packed away.

(Y/n) was even more confused than before; first she started bleeding when she went to the bathroom and then her father told her it was normal, then he went to go get something called pads. While she sat on the toilet Sendak went into his daughter's room so he could get some new underwear for her, he figured that she might have bled in the ones she'd been wearing and she couldn't get them herself. The next thing he did was go into his own room so he could open his closet; Sendak found one of the boxes that held some of (M/n's) things and he found an open package of pads, he took the package out before he put the box back on the top shelf. He stuffed the clean underwear in the package alongside the pads so that it would be easier for him to give everything to (Y/n) without actually going into the bathroom. (Y/n) cleaned the blood off of herself with some toilet paper, unfortunately she was still bleeding.

“I found some of your mother's pads and I got some new underwear for you. Can I open the door a little and slide them to you?” Sendak said when he returned to the bathroom, speaking calmly so that he wouldn't further upset her.

“Go ahead.” (Y/n) replied as she gave him permission to slide the pads to her; she was embarrassed about the whole situation, but she was grateful that he wasn't the type to sneak a peek; no self respecting galra would do such a thing and (Y/n) knew it, it was why she trusted him so much.

Sendak turned his head away from the bathroom door when he cracked it open, then he knelt down and slid the package of pads across the floor. He closed the door before he stood up again in favor of pacing back and forth, the whole situation about (Y/n) getting her period was nerve-wracking for him because it meant his little girl was growing up. (Y/n) picked up the package of pads and took the new underwear out, she decided to change her underwear before she tried using a pad; she tossed her old underwear in the hamper so it could get washed later. Her heart sank when she pulled a pad out of the package and opened it up, the scent and the texture were almost like a diaper. (Y/n's) face flushed in embarrassment; she was thirteen years old, she didn't understand how human women could stand wearing pads.

“Why are they like diapers?” (Y/n) complained while she held the pad; it definitely wasn't an actual diaper, but the thought of having to wear pads still made her feel embarrassed.

“From what your mother told me it's to soak up the blood, I don't remember much more than that. Just wear the pad, I don't want you leaving blood everywhere you sit.” Sendak responded with a frustrated sigh.

(Y/n) grimaced before she read the instructions on the package and removed the pad from its individual packaging so she could stick it in her clean underwear. She wiped herself again, then she stood up and pulled her underwear and pants up; she absolutely hated the feeling of the pad between her legs, unfortunately she would have to wear them until she stopped bleeding. She took something for the pain before she quickly flushed the toilet, put the individual pad package in the trash can, placed the rest of the pads in one of the bathroom drawers and washed her hands before she opened the door and turned the lights off. (Y/n) felt humiliated to have to wear a pad, although she knew that if she didn't then her blood would be on everything she sat on and ruin her pants. She winced in pain when she felt a particularly bad cramp wrack through her lower abdomen, it was apparent that her cramps would last longer than she thought.

“Tell me the truth, what am I going through?” (Y/n) hesitantly asked her father nervously, fearing that she would somehow make him angry.

“You're going through what humans refer to as a ‘period’. You will bleed for about an earth week every earth month. I apologize for not telling you sooner, kit; I didn't think that you would get it.” Sendak apologized as he stepped towards (Y/n) and gently hugged her, wishing that he remembered all of what (M/n) did during her period.

“Am I going to live?” (Y/n) questoned; she was on the verge of tears again as she processed what she'd been told, it was a lot to take in.

“Yes, you're going to live.” Sendak reassured her with a sigh; she stunk of fear and blood, but his little girl needed him and his instincts to comfort her were strong.

“Can- can we cuddle like back when I was little? I feel vulnerable and I'm scared. I know that I'm not little anymore, but I really want to cuddle with you like when I was younger.” (Y/n) inquired, sniffling a little as she spoke whilst trying her best not to start crying again.

“Of course we can, my little one.” Sendak purred affectionately before he knelt down and carefully picked her up so he could cradle her against his chest; (Y/n) was still small compared to him, it made it easy for him to cradle her in his arms.

Feeling her father's warmth made (Y/n) feel sleepy, she'd forgotten how much she missed being carried around by him. She subconsciously began purring after Sendak carried her to his room and laid them both in his blanket nest; from her understanding about humans, human parents didn't cuddle with their children once they reached a certain age, she was glad that she had been raised on New Daibazaal where it was common for families to rest together in the same nest for comfort. Sendak ignored the bloody smell coming from his daughter as much as possible, she needed him to comfort her and he was going to do just that. He felt a wave of sadness sweep through him because he missed his wife, she would have known how to help their daughter more than he could, and he also felt sad because within the upcoming few years his little girl would be all grown up, move away and start a life of her own; he wanted her to have a successful life once she grew up, although it didn't mean that he couldn't miss her being young. (Y/n) felt safe and warm curled up next to her father the same way she did when she was a little girl; it was mostly the hormones that made her want to cuddle with her only parent because she felt vulnerable, but during that moment she didn't care, eventually her period would end and she could return to her normal life for a while.

There's so much to unpack. First of all, what's she doing putting her full name out there? They cover that in Internet Safety 101! (Although, I imagine anyone who contacts her will quickly be repelled by her constant babbling about Jensen).

And listen, I'll be the first one to say there's no age limit to being a fan of someone, but there is most definitely an age limit to being this utterly obsessed with a celebrity. And 53 is WAY too old for this. (Any age is too old for parasocializing, but especially if you're a grown-ass adult).

I know I sometimes call AAs and Hellers delusional, but I'm being completely serious when I say this woman is in desperate need of help. It seems she's built her entire world around worshipping Jensen and in all likelihood, is unable to cultivate real-world relationships that could help fill whatever gaps exist in her life that she's currently using Jensen to fill.

She's displaying very similar symptoms of fans whose obsessions go horribly wrong. I don't think she's quite there yet, but she's well on her way and I pray that she can get the help she so desperately needs before it gets that far.

Hi! I hope you’re feeling better after your booster. I remember I felt like I was going to hell and back every hour of the day when I got mine but i agree, way better than covid. I always feel like I forget to reply to literally anything you say and I always feel bad because I swear it’s because of the fact that I’m busy babysitting a grown man. But to respond to some stuff:

Yes, he did accidentally steal a dog. Our mom took the dog to the groomers and he went to pick it up and they gave him who they thought was our dog. Turns out they accidentally made a mistake because there were two dogs that were identical (my mom looked for pics because i refused to believe it but nope, they looked like siblings and they gave them the same grooming style or whatever). He then all confused sent a pic of the dog to mom and was like ‘why is he acting so weird whats up with him?’ And even jokingly blamed her for the reason why the dog hates him bc how dare she groom him. And then they called from the groomers because they realized the mistake. At least it was the same dog and not a completely different one because that would be actually dumb on his part.

Also yes, our parents are going through it because of him. The parts that I don’t tell you guys about are when they text or call me to cuss me out because he’s annoying them. The rest of the family finds it hilarious but they unfortunately get the constant texts and voice memos and calls about a fictional character. Earlier this week (i think it was this week? Time is not real for me anymore, my bad) he woke them up at 3 am because he couldn’t sleep because he had thoughts about Britin. Our dad actually blocked his number for a full day after that which didn’t work because my brother ended up calling his assistant at work and pretended that it was an important family emergency (about him btw!!!! Which is fucked up on so many levels right now) and when dad answered all panicked, he went ‘did you seriously block my number because I asked you if you thought Brian is going to profess his love for Justin?’ So they are tired of him for sure. But i think we all know that this is not going away any time soon.

And yes, he is getting more and more curious about the cast. I think it’s because he knows he’s close to the ending so now he has a ton of questions that he didn’t care for at the start. I’m genuinely leaning towards showing him the out of the box interview and Randy’s podcast. Gale’s because it’s so interesting and since he’s obsessed with him, he’ll probably love learning more about him and with Randy he will be for sure shocked by what Randy is like. And omg I actually almost broke character and had an actual reaction when he lowkey went into RPF territory. I have no clue how we/he ended up here but oh boy. I also weirdly can’t wait for him to find out Gale is straight. Because i swear, this man genuinely has a crush on him and i can no longer tell if it’s in a bromance type of way or not.

And he is feeling a little better but unfortunately he had a tiny setback with his recovery this week which sucks. But he is much better and i can tell because for the past few days he didn’t want to watch new episodes and didn’t even speak much about Brian/Britin (except while rewatching old eps) because he was actually worried he wouldn’t be able to give his full attention and watch it properly. And today he was talking to our uncle about how much Brian has changed in the last season and how he has many thoughts about the last season. Which he still has to share with me. And when he does, best believe I will be here in a heartbeat.

I am dying over that dog grooming story. I can see how that could happen. One time when I was very little, I fell asleep at my friend’s house. My parents were coming home late from a date night and had the key to my friend’s apartment to let themselves in and grab me. When they got back out into the hallway (this was in an apartment building) where it was light, they realized they had my friend and not me!

last movie: oh my god, I rewatched camp rock last night. I’ve been digging through a lot on disney+ lately. it was, fine? always fun to see super young jonas brothers, at least. and I think the songs were pretty good. I remember really disliking the sequel so I will probably not rewatch that.

currently reading: rereading t*witches; literally JUST finished the fifth book, don’t think twice. I don’t necessarily recommend them but it’s nice to relive the childhood nostalgia. as I’ve mentioned the dialogue is almost DISTRESSINGLY so 2001 it’s alternately painful and hilarious, and it gets me every time. my favorite book when I was a kid was the ninth one, split decision, like my copy of it got really beat up bc I reread it so much, and I’m really excited to get to that one.

I’m also like a chapter and a half into the first lord of the rings book and really looking forward to reading more and I BOUGHT THEM but sometimes like, reading a physical book is not enough to fully distract my brain from the 28 Long Years Of Rampantly Unmanaged Anxiety I’ve been dealing with, but reading on my phone or my laptop has been usually fine??? but I’ve been reading t*witches on the internet archive and lotr is also there so when I finish barreling through t*witches, I can read lotr there if I want!!

I also usually have a ramona ebook on my phone right now for when I just need something Without Any Stakes At All, Whatsoever, and the one I have right now is ramona the brave. it was my FAVORITE when I was a kid and my first grade teacher read the books out loud bc it has the story where ramona shouts GUTS! when she wants to say a bad word. THAT was intense, to a six year old. as an adult I think my fav is ramona and her father, bc it’s very sweet.

currently watching: AS WE SPEAK I am binge-watching lizzie mcguire. well, binge-watching-in-the-background. (I’ve also been working my way through my childhood disney sitcoms.) BUT ALSO I keep up with abbott elementary and animal control and I’m hoping animal control gets better? it’s okay, it’s decently funny, but I’m still not sold on it yet. abbott elementary is gold, though. (not a current watch BUT spring baking championship starts on the food network next week!!! I love the themed baking championships. also kids baking just ended on monday and every single season I cry over all the sweet tiny kids doing their baking they are so damn adorable) oh my mom and I have stalled in our murder she wrote watch with a season and a half left bc the quality has kinda, dipped. I think the first seven seasons are the most entertaining.

currently consuming: water! I never drink enough of it. it is, a struggle. I am drinking more than I was, for sure, but it is, still not really like a GREAT amount. I am……...working very hard at it………...and it’s very frustrating.

currently craving: something I can really take a bite out of. a big cinnamon bun…...a hefty piece of cake…...not necessarily craving this but some day soon I am going to get delivery from red robin and get the MADLOVE BURGER. by god, that burger.

i'm confident James removed Sev's underwear in front of a crowd (you wouldn't make a threat like that and not go through with it, especially as James had just been rejected, was angry, and needed someone else to be the one who everyone remembered as being humiliated - and if he hadn't managed it, if someone had interrupted or James had a change of heart, Remus and Sirius would've said when Harry asked them to placate him. Instead we get some half-baked "but James was 15 and also we didn't like Snape" which Harry rightfully points out it bullshit)

Sirius, king of biting remarks as far as the Marauders go, probably made a few pointed comments on the sorts of things young men make pointed comments about when dicks are involved. Just for good measure, he might have made a few jabs about Sev's general appearance, too

did James go further? How much further can you go, I hear you ask? Well, he'd already choked Sev, and they're not above using illegal hexes (looking at you, Bertram Aubrey), and James was riled up and putting on a show. I wouldn't be surprised if they added some kind of hex for boils or a stinging hex or similar, though whether they aimed for the front or back is dealer's choice. either would be painful and probably require a trip to Madam Pomfrey

did they let him down with the crowd there, or did they leave him in the air until the next lesson or whatever? I'm inclined to think that they wouldn't let him down to get his wand and retaliate whilst they were still in the vicinity, but I also like to think that eventually SOMEONE would have stood up to James & Co. and let Sev down (though maybe whoever did so waited for James to get bored and leave, so they weren't next).

a less optimistic interpretation would be that James would keep escalating, but I don't think he was that bad. Once the 'fun' was over and the initial 'joke' got tired, I think he'd get bored and leave Sev up there. The Marauders would swagger off, Peter acting like it was the best thing in the world, Remus quietly disapproving and making them feel slightly guilty after the fact, and someone else let Sev down. Maybe a Slytherin, maybe someone who just pities him - which he'd hate even more

That sort of thing (hexes or not) would be painful and humiliating enough, without realising that your best friend now hates you because you lashed out in the most vicious way, so first he needs some time alone. I hc Sev as autistic so maybe he goes and has a meltdown in the bathrooms and it takes ages for him to calm down. Just for Draco parallels I think it would be fun if he went to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom for this. He might do this a lot, so people outside assume it's just her crying when actually it's him. Maybe that's what Muffliato was also for

He darts back to the Slytherin dorms, and falls asleep for a while (I'm unclear on whether the Transfiguration exam was the next day or next few days, or the same day; if he went to that exam that day I expect he did very poorly, or at least substantially more poorly than he otherwise would've done. Lily's the the one he wants to talk to most, and obviously that doesn't happen. He doesn't care what the Slytherins make of it if he sleeps outside the Gryffindor common room, because he knows it was wrong and his biggest mistake - but he's so desperate that he doesn't even care that James et al. might be in there, too, or could come out at any moment. (and quick disclaimer just bc this is tumblr I don't think she was under any obligation to accept his apology - but from his pov he was under a lot of stress in that moment, the result of the culmination of the werewolf prank and 5 years of stress where lately Lily had already in his mind started to take the Marauders' side over his, nobody had actually helped him and when she came along she spent more time talking to James than actually helping Sev. He reacted viciously as a result, maybe as self-preservation bc there were Slytherins in the crowd who also weren't helping him, maybe intentionally to 'return the favour' for her perceived apathy and distancing herself from him). It was a messy and cruel situation all around

he now delves more deeply into the DE cult crowd, since he's not getting any companionship or positive attention anywhere else, and as far as he can see, who else can protect him and give him some control over his life?

he continues to hex James when provoked (James arguably keeps their final year spats from Lily which wouldn't be necessary if James hadn't instigated them, not to mention how monumentally poor a choice it would be to hex James first since he's either a prefect or a head boy or whatever; he's the hare and Sirius and James are the hunters; even when he thought Sirius was the one who betrayed Lily, Severus still holds back in PoA, unlike Remus and Sirius who were about to kill Peter with like, no deliberation at all)

he's clearly still deeply upset, even traumatised, by this as an adult; when Harry invades his privacy and sees the memory, he's shaking, he's enraged, he's uncharacteristically physically violent, and later he only reacts to Harry when Harry tries to use Levicorpus on him, not Sectumsempra or Crucio. If we're going by the movies AND the sketches JK did of Snape, there's some really cool metas about the shape/fit of his clothes and how they shield and protect him, the way he's batlike (inspiring the idea not just of robes as wings, but of wrapping the wings about the self almost protectively), alan rickman's choice to have all the buttons ties into this for me, etc.

I also think that he has some issues with how he looks, even if he pretends he's above it all, but that's just me. The marauders insulted his appearance (greasy, large nose) and those things might be true, so he hates it, but changing it would be admitting that he hates it. Maybe that's why he pretends he's above it all, all the time; he's massively insecure about everything, from his place in the world to his looks (everything except his intellect and magic), but he's not willing to let anyone perceive him as weak and vulnerable

It’s movie night in the HoL and no one knew what to watch. You were scrolling through the options when you found a human realm classic. The Ring. Now you weren’t the BIGGEST fan of horror movies but you did like them. So you clicked on it. As the movie went on, everything seemed normal. Mostly everyone seemed to enjoy it. Sure they got scared at the scenery and the jump scares but that’s what the movie is for

Later that night, after everyone else has gone and fallen asleep, you’re still lying awake. You just can’t seem to fall asleep. You just have a bad feeling from that movie. So you get up in your white, Victorian nightgown, and go to your favorite demons room. You slowly open up their door and creep up next to their bed

You stand there, staring at them until they wake up
