I have some affection for a lot of individual scenes in Lucio's route but it really does feel like when faced with the question of how do we deal with a route focused on the guy who's been our secondary/primary antagonist for years and resolve all the ambiguity the player might feel around his actions. They went "what if we just made him too stupid to live so he can only be held accountable the way you hold your dog accountable for pissing on the carpet"

It winds up both undercutting Asra Nadia and Muriel in their routes for taking this guy seriously as a threat and also putting the MC in this very weird mommy role

yeah i like some stuff or at least the potential for stuff but overall lmao

they disrespect my blorbo, they disrespect YOUR blorbos, they disrespect everybody's handmade blorbos - what does it say about MC that when we're the ones holding the leash helping him, he becomes the human version of wet pasta

from what i remember reading it feels like they're rubbing his nose in his shit without actually bothering to explain to him why this might be a problem in the first place, so ultimately he learns nothing and becomes more dependent on MC

they were never going to do him justice, i knew that. my expectations were low and NH sailed beneath the bar into the dirt

and like im not saying he should have been Evil or MC should have been Evil or whatever. im just saying, fucking. do something worth recommending the guy to other people outside of "ok hear me out in this one scene in one section of this other person's route--"

i love him as a whole, faceted being put together from all routes, but i know not everyone can do that

my mother taught me to crochet when i was young. she was left handed, so she taught me how in the bathroom mirror so her hands would be in the right position.

she learned to crochet from her grandmother, who was right handed. her grandma was the one that originally used the bathroom mirror to teach her granddaughter properly.

i find something poetic about that. here in this bathroom mirror, through generations, we adapt to our young who have a different way of learning and interacting with the world
