he already read the Very Bad novel in the house of daena before kaveh got hold of it? but then seeing it in their study and knowing kaveh must have checked it out, he... opened it anyway despite already knowing the contents?? 1) because he knew kaveh wouldn't mind, and 2) because he was curious what kaveh thought about it?? considering that he knows kaveh makes annotations in books??

he saw kaveh circle the killer's name in permanent ink, effectively spoiling the novel, no matter how terrible, and joined in by circling a name to create a red herring, but also because he thought circling names was funny <3

he put the book in the same place in the study and didn't say anything to kaveh when kaveh went to return it, and kaveh went about believing alhaitham knew nothing about it, until the quest comes full circle and kaveh returns to alhaitham to tell him the news, only to find out that he and alhaitham were jointly the instigators for the conspiracy.

the quest is THEIR fault!! but.. the conspiracy wouldn't have happened if alhaitham hadn't made the second circle,, so… if he hadn't been curious about something that occupied kaveh's time..., that’s so !!??

Just wanted to say that being able to see past someone's views and ideologies (which is usually a euphemism for bigotry, hate and ultimately harmful to the marginalized), is not the flex you think it is. It's not mature, it comes from a place of sheer privilege and is actually pretty ignorant.

To be able to ignore ones hateful views is to be able to say this doesn't impact me so why should I care.

And I'm tired of trying to educate people while being gaslit to believe I'm wrong for wanting my circle to have views that, idk won't cause harm to people that are oppressed??? Apparently that doesn't make me a free thinker, aw shucks.

And it's funny that most, if not all, people who say they can "look past" different view points tend to be cishet white people.

If someone calls you a racist, homophobe, transphobe, fatphobic, ageist, misogynist, bigot, etc. Maybe your first response should be listening. Maybe it shouldn't be rushing to defend yourself because you think someone is overreacting or you can't see the harm you've caused (no shit sherlock you're not the one being impacted). Like seriously... We have grown adults pretending to hold this "maturity" when it couldn't be further from the truth.

I'd love to say anything the tickle community should be inclusive. But it shouldn't. Some people just don't belong here. And that includes anyone who supports this narrative of being able to "look past" things and those who actively promote hate and ignorance.

I mean you can choose to be friends with these people, that's your prerogative. But to go as far as calling those who have less of a tolerance for those types of people, immature and close minded, is going too far.

i will never ever understand why am fans have so much beef with milex shippers.

i have been in SO many fandoms throughout my life, I've been obsessed with SO many bands whose members are shipped to the point of insanity, and it was never a problem. sure, some people didn't like the ships, but why are so many am fans acting like this is something unique? bts, mcr, dan and phil, harry potter, I've seen fucking everything. every other fandom in the world are just this obsessed with their ships, trying to prove that two men are fucking, posting theories and so on. shipping was always a thing in fandoms and always will be, especially if we're talking about male celebrities and teenage girls.

having said this, the kind of fandom i have never been in is one where grown ass women bring this much toxicity to the community and behave like children. there are hundreds of celebrities whose girlfriends are not liked by the fans, but no girlfriend ever engaged this much with the haters, probably because they realised that it would only make things worse, and the fans would hate them even more.

we could've had some peaceful end of the tour content, but no, we have this instead. every few months something has to be done by a certain someone in order for people to pay attention to her, and so that in the end fans will forget the reason they're fans and engage in stupid shit like this, defeating the whole purpose of being a music fan.

all this drama is slowly making me not want to have anything to do with am or the fandom anymore. if not for miles and him being connected to am, i would've stopped giving a fuck about alex years ago (technically not through his fault, but then also because of him). this whole thing just makes me sad because miles does not deserve to be associated with these people and the fact that he will never be able to get rid of them is so not it.

I used to be in the "let Dabi live" camp but my staying there required very specific circumstances which have long passed 🤣🤣 I only lead with this because the recent chapter spoilers have got me sooo displeased. It IS cruel. The entire family needs to let him go. I get him apologizing to Shoto (if that ends up being true? I wouldn't trust it until an official translation drops but I am also mostly avoiding spoilers atm haha) because he had always wanted to apologize to his family, but let him go. Please 😭

so from what i can tell from the fan translation + scans, it LOOKS to me like he apologized to an empty room. the ‘sorry’ bubble is being said when the family is outside the facility, it appears????? unless i’m being entirely fucking delusional LMAO

i like this a lot better than touya apologizing to shouto’s face because 1. it feels much more in character, and 2. i’d argue it makes that soba moment a helluva lot more impactful. it almost feels like the final nail in the coffin of realization for touya, like he’s going ‘damn, he is actually JUST LIKE ME, we could’ve been enjoying soba together and i didn’t realize he wasn’t dad’s puppet; i didn’t realize he was also a victim’. when touya first comes face to face with shouto (as dabi), he hasn’t seen him in several years, he has NO idea what the fuck was going on in that house or how shouto truly is as a person or how shouto feels towards their father and all of the abuse he endured at the hands of their father, and touya has created and clung to this narrative in his head of shouto being enji’s lil masterpiece, enji’s pride and joy. shouto subsequently shows him throughout their various fights that this is truly not the case. i think you could argue that now that touya’s on the brink of death with nothing to do but THINK in that godforsaken machine they’ve locked him in, he is finally truly reflecting on everything that happened and coming to some realizations before he dies. at least, that’s how i see it!!

other than that, i’m so so so upset with how everything is being handled. i’m SO glad touya calls them out and says he feels like a tourist attraction because YEAH. yeah. that’s what they’re doing to you, baby. they’re keeping you alive and prolonging your inevitable death so THEY can talk to you, for THEM, not for you. ugh honestly i could write you a whole essay on how disgusting and disrespectful this whole thing is, i’ve been rambling all damn day to my friends about it HAHAHA ._. it’s just so goddamn selfish!!!!!! the fact that enji just speaking had touya’s heart raising to DANGEROUS levels already says so much. like you’re really just going to prolong his fucking suffering so YOU can all absolve yourselves of your guilt??? you can’t give him the one thing he has wanted and planned for for several years (death)??? fuck right off

i don't want to argue with this person and I don't even necessarily disagree with the main point of "dungeon meshi is driven by familial connections, not romantic ones" but in trying to argue this he like, widely downplays how important falin is to marcille, so much so that it kind of ends up undercutting his point

like yeah, dungeon meshi is driven by familial relationships more than anything else, but do you know what the most important and plot-driving relationship is in the manga, that isn't a familial one? It's Marcille and Falin, by far.

I do kind of suspect that what tagasaing is identifying as "useless ship wars" is just like, people downplaying or ignoring the Falin and Marcille connection (whether or not you even interpret this as romantic or whatever), and other people getting understandably annoyed at this.

It's kinda funny because w/ my Zeus kid OC (who I've been thinking about renaming as Araceli, 'cause it means altar of the sky, apparently, which I like 'cause sky-themed-ish but also like. A little bit I wanted something that meant cloud the way Coral's name means... Coral) the implication is that she takes after her father to an almost mirroring degree because I developed her and my other PJO OCs (who also all got retconned into an OG work) at the same time I was playing around with my ideas on the Big Six, and the gist at the time was supposed to show how the Big Six could've turned out if they weren't so weird.

So the dynamics of the friendship was supposed to be very similar to the dynamics of Big Six's relationship to each other (e.g. Mary having a major crush on Hera's "representative" but also being attracted to literally every other person that walked by, Nico being the soberminded big brother figure, etc). It's also one of the reasons Mary would get angry whenever someone would compare to her dad, because similarly I think Zeus would get angry if someone compared him to his dad.

And then eventually as I got older and the daydream moved around with whatever obsession I had at the time, the characters and general storyline began to change away from that in some ways but core features sort of stayed and so I ended up with a version of Zeus that ignores his daughter's pleas for help because he loves her but her pain hurts him because he can't do anything about it and it's his fault she's suffering.

She got this intensity from him, it's ingrained into the way it's ingrained in him. But he was able to rebuild the world according to his own needs and wants and beliefs. And she can't really do that. So he doesn't have any advice he can give her when she's on her knees begging for help with all the noise and pain in her head. He doesn't know what to do! It's like he can just go and rip it out of her.

But she's suffering because she's different and she's weird and she knows it and she knows it's his fault which is why she's asking but he just doesn't know and he can't handle watching her suffering and listening to her cry when there is no helpful answer to give her because "I don't know" isn't going to fix it.

He's supposed to fix things, he's supposed to have the answers. He's king of the world, by damn! He's a problem solver. He supposed to have a solution, and a million backup solutions. But he doesn't! There's nothing he can do to make the noise stop because truth be told, the noise never really stopped for him! It just got easier and quieter. So he turns away from her because he loves her and he's failing her and he can't handle that.

But also in the same breath, I think he recognizes similar aspects of himself in Jason, who isn't even asking for help, and fucking despises him for it, lol.

Dapper essentially will just be comparing Foolish to an animal since he collects animals/mobs, which is wrong on so many levels. Then Sunny is also calling him an item, because he looked like money. Like they just dehumanise Foolish on so many levels all the time and it’s just not funny. Especially when he’s not there to defend himself.

I watched the entire conversation about it too and Bad says as long as everyone is okay with it when sunny said “pa said i could keep him”. Not that Foolish agreed to it, because he never did. That as long as everyone else is okay with it yet not Foolish. Because Foolish said if and when he got a mansion from them that he might consider agreeing to it, straight to Sunny’s face. Before that he was heavily disagreeing to the entire idea.

It’s literally just makes me feel so disgusted by others who make those types of jokes about Foolish or let them slide. To the point where I don’t want Foolish to interact with those people and some of them I actually enjoy watching. But every time I hear one of those jokes I just get so disgusted by them. Seriously do they no realise what they’re implying??
