Tbh ppl here are so weird about tiktok users
#like yes tiktok bad and its kind of funny when ppl say things to get around an algorithm that doesn’t exist on here#but ppl being like ‘if youve ever said unalive I never want to talk to you’ need to get some perspective#like… they were on a platform where they had to say that shit sometimes to talk about things#they were the ppl being censored and thats how they got around it#(it wasnt just used for ‘im gonna unalive myself’ jokes ya know? its also used to talk about police killing ppl which tiktok often censors)#(like it was used to talk about important issues to spead information in a way that would get around censorship)#why are you acting like its their fault?? that does absolutely nothing to hurt tiktok?? and you are just kicking someone while they are down#just inform them that they dont have to do that#stop assuming you’re smarter than everyone I promise you are not <3#also anyone saying tiktok doesn’t actually censor things and its just users being dramatic is lying#or is spreading misinfo#cmon ppl use your brains#YouTube has ‘protections’ for users speech that it breaks all the time we know this#it is inconsistent with who it does and does not censor#why would you think tiktok is any different?#of course the Washington post doing a ‘study’ isnt going to get censored because its a well known company#and censoring THEM would be massively reported and make tiktok look bad#not to mention the possibility that it was a mutually beneficial ‘test’#tiktok would get a massive news company ‘disproving’ all the alligations of censorship#which is good for bezos who ownes the WP because people post videos of Amazon’s work place violations that get taken down#and now they’ll look less reliable if they talk about censorship which will then make everything they say seem less reliable

Hey, Penacony spoilers ahead for up to the end of 2.3. THEORY AHEAD. (kinda crack, kinda not, I'm talking about Gallagher)
Y'know, it's funny how Gallagher, a History Fictionologist, told like 1 lie.
And then, Mr. Reca, a Memokeeper, told some guy "Love the unknown" once.
Like, guys, switch places, please. That would make more sense.
I remember when I found inconsistencies with how people treated Gallagher; one of two Bloodhounds "recognising" him, another Bloodhound going "Who?" and then the receptionist at the Family's mansion acting as if he's some important person who's rarely sought out by people?
I swear, this still makes no sense... unless......
And Reca is sometimes a well-known director. Sometimes a self-proclaimed one.
Chabro and Aideen? Love the guy. Nobodies? Who does this dude think he is.
But hey. You know what makes me go "What the HELL is going on here"?
I have two questions.
Why "Mr. Reca"? And not Mr. Reca?
How the hell does this guy know about Gallagher AND HIS DEATH.
Okay, so I guess this Reca is indeed a Memokeeper who uses camera and film to record (rec - Reca) stuff and retell stories. He should be the same Memokeeper Black Swan mentions at the Studios.
And I suspect this censored movie to be his work.
Hey, remember who did so much to make sure that some people's names and true stories would be restored?
Yeah, funny coincidences.
And then, nobody remembers Gallagher, ironically. Except us, Nameless.
And except Reca, SOMEHOW. (Aideen. Gallagher is the guy thanked BEFORE YOUR OWN BRAND, DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE MOVIE.)
But ultimately, Aideen is right. Gallagher wasn't made to be remembered.
Sorry, I mean, "Gallagher the History Fictionologist" isn't meant to be remembered.
We know "Gallagher" is fake. And I'm not just talking about his appearance; ALL OF HIM is fictional. He is a character, a role. And like any role... there has to be an actor playing the part. The person who came up with "Gallagher". The person who is still there once the character isn't needed anymore.
The person we didn't see when "Gallagher" disappeared off-screen.
And I guess that person would also be the real Gallagher... The one who was so loyal to Mikhail.
Or... was he all that loyal to Mikhail?
There's something so fickle about calling an unshakable loyalty "imaginary". I know it's meant positively here, but it's so easy to turn this upside-down...
I mean, the purpose of "Gallagher" was to fulfill one promise to Mikhail. And once that has been done... the real Gallagher could do whatever, afterwards. He's free of his role as "Gallagher" the History Fictionologist... who did the exact opposite of what a Fictionologist would do...... by restoring the truth of the past.........
Gallagher is the worst at his job, isn't he. Almost like he should be a Memokeeper, instead.
Anyway. I have a technical question.
Where did Reca get the memory segments to recreate Firefly for the Scorchsand Venue movie?
I see two possibilities:
Got them from someone else (Aideen, other witnesses, maybe from the surroundings themselves?)
Himself
In the first case, it makes sense, I have no further question.
In the second case, though... When did Reca meet Firefly? Did he need to actually meet her or would just seeing her from afar suffice? Depending on the answers to those questions, things might get complicated.
Okay, it's time I stopped beating around the bush. I've been drawing mirrored parallels between "Gallagher" and "Mr. Reca" from the very start of this post. You're probably guessing what my point is by now.
But first... Remember Sleepie? a.k.a. Dormancy?
Poor thing came to Scorchsand searching for Gallagher...
But there was no trace of him there anymore since... before Sleepie arrived... Right?
And there's no way Gallagher would still be around... Right?
... why would you say that if you know your whole being will disappear once you're done with your final task...
i mean, it's not like there was yet another Hound statue in Dreamflux Reef, next to the three epitaphs of the Nameless, right?! Grmbl...
Remember when Himeko said "In the end, we still failed to figure out his true identity, or if he was even a "living person"? Because I SURE REMEMBER.
Anyway, we don't know where Reca was when Sleepie arrived at Scorchsand, but-
I think it's safe to say that they interracted to some extent.
BUT that's in fact still not what made me go "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS GOING ON HERE???!!"
Remember how the movie started?
With the phrase: "Even now, the world is still filled with characters that we've played."
The hell do you mean by that, Reca.
And it ended with the phrase: "We will keep playing our roles, drunken and foolish in the moment, playing at life but never thinking to celebrate it." Then the credits roll.
Heyyyy, I know someone else who talks about celebrating life. And used bits of other people's lives to create a whole new "character". Kinda like how you can pick pieces of different stories to make a whole new story. Or movie, for that matter.
And hey... Reca told us "My lens is upon you… Don't let me down. And more importantly, don't let the audience down."
You know who told us we had interesting life stories? YEAH.
Hey. Let's go back to Brina. The receptionist.
You know how we could easily explain this?
If the real Gallagher's full name was Gallagher Reca.
Or maybe "Mr. Reca" is just yet another pseudonym. I mean, why would he credit himself as "Mr. Reca" and not Reca. That's fishy.
ANYWAY, this theory has been on my mind for maybe 4 months now, so I'm glad I've finally manage to write all of my thoughts down.
#honkai star rail#hsr theory#hsr gallagher#hsr reca#gallagher#mr reca#2.3 spoilers#finished somewhat on time >:'D

alright so this is a post I've been wanting to write up for a little while now, but I was waiting on permission from a third party to post DM's (censored, of course). That permission has since returned with a yes, soooo
LET'S TALK ABOUT RACHEL'S HIRING PROCESSES-
okay this isn't gonna be as comprehensive as I'm making it sound BUT I've mentioned before on this page (albeit briefly and it's long since been buried) that I actually applied to be a background artist for Rachel a couple years ago, I think it was around the midpoint of S2, and it was (obviously) before I turned to the dark side of crit-n-shit-posting. I never got an email back, so that was that. I'd like to think there's a parallel universe out there where instead of joining the antiLO/ULO community, I became an assistant for Rachel and remained a fan. Enjoy that fridge horror thought.
That said, while I didn't get a response, someone on reddit mentioned that they did:
And they were kind enough to share further details with me in DM's.
Right off the bat, I'm fairly certain they were applying to the same ad I was (as it was a posting that Rachel had made on Twiter and the approximate years line up).
All that aside, considering what Rachel's process is like with her assistants (from what we've discussed here in GREAT detail), it's not shocking in the slightest that the vibe of working with Rachel from the very beginning was "IDK what I'm looking for".
Buuut that's not the end of the exchange because it gets better.
Mind you, this was back in 2019 and it was the experience of one user, so it doesn't necessarily reflect every assistant on the team or how Rachel does things down to the last detail. But it's pretty damning enough that you can still see the evidence of this kind of workflow in current LO 4 years later. If anything she's continued to operate with a rapidly declining pipeline because the art just keeps getting worse and worse.
Part me of wants to say that this could be on Webtoons, as they don't offer support to creators to have assistants. Creators have to pay for their assistants completely out of pocket, split from the income they make from Webtoons. This is why so many creators often don't have assistants or their 'assistants' are also their co-creators (see: Nevermore, which is drawn and written by two people working together).
But Rachel has an average of four assistants per episode, sometimes as many as eight in some cases (though it's been a while since that's happened so I won't really count it for this post).
That means Rachel's team is typically made up of five people, including herself, and that's not including the recent addition of copy editors (but that balances out with the times when Amy Kim isn't contributing , she tends to pop in and out).
Now, she's not the only person on WT with a team of this size, there are others with comparable teams if not bigger ones, but NONE of them seem to operate with as much inconsistency as LO does, and that's not on the assistants, that's on Rachel. She's said in interviews that she always wanted to be a director and that making LO on Webtoons was her way of achieving that, but she doesn't seem to have the integrity or leadership skills necessary to take charge when the team isn't working in sync. You don't see any of these insane art art inconsistencies in webtoons like The Kiss Bet or Tower of God (though they have their own problems, the art isn't one of them), and there are webtoons operating without a team at all that are drawing circles around LO right now, like Nevermore (which is, by the way, also edited by Bre Boswell, same as LO).
Now, that's not to say there isn't struggling underneath the surface, the creators of Nevermore have stated how difficult it is to work for Webtoons as it is, especially as creators who don't have assistants. But how is the #1 comic on the platform failing to meet the standards that come with its labels and awards? Why are the exceptionally better comics being drawn by 1-2 people not getting the attention or opportunities they deserve from the platform? And why does Rachel Smythe, one of the highest paid creators on the platform, still seem to struggle with managing a team of artists after five years of publication on Webtoons? Why does she choose to have a large team if she can't pay them adequately? Why have a large team at all if she's not going to utilize their skills properly? To further lighten the load of work onto others?
Really, it just goes to show the lack of care and respect all around - for the self, for the work, and for those who are pushing out the work and meeting the deadlines, whose reputations and potential are being dragged down with the comic itself.

Headcanon: The Joker forced Todd Phillips to create the Joker movies.
So, here me out on this, the Joker goes to Warner Bros. while holding Todd Phillips at gun point, insisting that he would direct a Joker origin movie. He insists that its because he wants people to understand what struggles he went through before he became the most dangerous clown in Gotham. Of course, this isn't the actual reason. His true reason is that he just wanted to see if he could make a really well made movie about himself, get paid, and have a few people become mad at Batman for punching the mentally disturbed. Think of it as his copyrighted Clown Fish scheme but bigger. Basically, its his way of doing what he did to Harley Quinn but on a mass scale. And just for the fuck of it, he decided to include the Wayne family's murder to screw with Batman knowing he'd hear about the movie or watch it.
Of course, when considering some details of the movie, such as Arthur initially believing his biological dad is Thomas Wayne, it has to occur to you that at that point, Arthur thought Bruce was his younger Brother. This was also done to fuck with Batman because Batman knows very well how his arch enemy feels about him. (This is also a good time to point out that the Joker movie itself is censoring the queerness of Batman and Joker's relationship. Within the headcanon itself, its supposed to make Batman uncomfortable)
Now, within the DC universe, this movie would have either bombed or done extremely well. The reason why I think it would have bombed is because its an inaccurate telling of real world history. The reason why I think it would have been really good is because many people may have known about Joker's habit of inconsistent story-telling and they think that Todd Phillips was trying to present that. Most likely it bombed, but still got a sequel because Joker wanted to try what he did again, but this time, focused on his relationship with Harley to mess with her as well as ruining the previous film.
Now, when considering how Joker met Harley in in the movie compared to how it happened in universe, its obvious theres a departure from the source material...until you consider the New 52 origin of Harley Quinn where she pretended to be a patient at Arkham. Of course, Joker could have enforced the writers of the movie to completely make up an origin for Harley, but lets just say that due to Joker's fucked-up brain chemistry, he recalls both origins of Harley and uses the "newer" one.
I don't know comic Harley's opinion on musicals, but I can see Joker utilizing her liking of them or dislike of them to annoy her. Joker has Lady Gaga get casted as Harley would bother Harley as she likes Gaga's music. Joker also implements personality traits from his current partner, Punchline, into the movie's Harley Quinn. Punchline is devoted to Joker and acts just as sick and twisted as he does, admires him for who he is, and Harley in the movie seems more like Joker's equal than his girlfriend he abuses.
Those are all my general thoughts for this headcanon, thank you for reading.

Why Kai should be canonically aromantic!
1. It’s cool
2. So far, every Queer character in Ninjago has been "unnecessary", contributing nothing to the plot.
Sally was in one season, she doesn't even have her own minifigure. Her character is to be an emotional, energetic, but stressed person. I like her a lot, but being bisexual didn't contribute or change anything.
Then a non-binary background character in Dragon Rising who contributes nothing to the plot, they just in the background.
Geo, he doesn't have a minifigure yet, he has little dialogue and he just is.
Tox, after the airing of season 2 p2 on the Ninjago website we found out that they uses They/Them pronouns.
Cole, not confirmed, but strongly suggested. The least popular ninja, making him a Queer character wouldn't do much for minifigure sales, because he's just unpopular.
But Kai is the most popular ninja!
Plus he has not rlly good writing!
This can be used to show children that not everyone is capable of showing romantic feelings and that it is normal.
His relationship with Skylor is questionable, it was for years and still is.
Now Wyldfyre has a boyfriend, she will talk about him, maybe she will ask Kai about various things regarding dating
But Kai knows nothing about love. He had no parents, he had trust issues. For years he only had a sister to whom he showed love. His trust issues towards Wu and ninja and the fact that he did not interact with other posts except ninja and/or ninja friends.
And in general he only hit on one woman in earlier seasons and gave some advice to Lloyd about dating.
He does not have a rich history related to love with relationships
Making him an aro and showing children that it is normal would be great
Censorship.
In many countries, especially religious ones, any display of difference in a way that is inconsistent with religion and culture is censored or even banned from the state. Ninjago could avoid this!
Censorship wouldn't make sense, because it would 1. Be in line with Kai's character. It would develop his character (a little) and have a pretty important conversation with Wyldfyre about his feelings. 2. Not expressing romantic feelings is normal, people can't censor that, especially in children's animation, which rather doesn't want to promote children entering into romantic relationships young, we don't want that.
Good representation, character development, it doesn't make a difference to them financially, Kai will still be popular, there will most likely be no censorship.
Children, especially young ones often don't know why some adults are single and don't have partners
I think if their favorite character explained it, it would be good for them
Of course, being aro is not the only determinant of loneliness, but so that all children understand that love is not only romantic. Because in Ninjago, there was often a romantic relationship between a guy and a girl right away.
Making the main character a popular Queer would be a good leap forward, especially since Kai is relatable in so many ways.
Also, homophonic Ninjago fans already make Kai woke:
#Ninjago#kai ninjago headcanons#Kai Ninjago#aro Kai#aromatnic#Kai should be aro chat#I love aro Kai#live laugh love aro Kai#he wanted a green gi to match his flag#woke#Ninjago woke#wait wait! more queer kai pls

How do I navigate this new life? So many questions plague my mind. Ironic. What happens when you start to question yourself? What do you do, when you can’t even trust yourself anymore? Petrified on a daily basis. Do I have a future left to salvage; my career, mygoals. I’ll say one thing. I didn’t expect to lose my whole identity. Profound loss. I grieve everyday. Not only mourning my former life and identity and plans, health, and body, but also fearing that I may never recover.
The last 3 years, has completely changed everything, including, the now, lack of trust and faith in our healthcare system. It’s difficult enough dealing with the social stigma, not being believed, gaslit, dismissed, invalidated, and blamed for my condition. But who do you go to, when your doctors can’t even help you, and some just won’t, and many just aren’t equipped or educated to deal with the new post viral condition. It’s been an enigma. The data and research has been sluggish, and US government funding is minimal.
The world moves on, but where does that leave about, what was it…17….or 22 million Americans? The data varies, but the scale is large. Massive. The largest mass disabling event in HUMAN history. And everyone ignores that it exists. Officials silence scientists and doctors, government censors social media, one minute it’s real, the next? no big deal. Inconsistency. Negligence and Lies.
Long Haulers of the world, does anyone else feel betrayed? Betrayed by people we are supposed to trust to have our best in mind, especially when it comes to our health institutions? I do. Everyday. I feel cheated and robbed of time, years off my life. All because of MONEY. Greed. Capitalism. I said it. The fucking cunt elephant in the room. Think of how much money certain people made during the pandemic? (If you know, you know) Of course I feel robbed. Of my life. And millions of others.
This is murder, irresponsible, and negligent.
And all WE want to do is FEEL better. Not be sick anymore so we can continue our lives. All while they continue to censor us.

The Parent Trap by u/Mickleborough
The Parent Trap Being curious as to exactly what was Meghan and Harry’s anti-cyber bullying initiative, I went to where angels fear to tread: the Archewell Foundation website.I won’t contaminate this post with screen shots - you’ll have to take my word. What does the Parents’ Network do?What’s the target group? The name and text refers to parents (although a couple of paragraphs inconsistently - and belatedly - mention caregivers as well). The overall impression is that this overlooks other child-adult relationships, namely children looked after by relatives or guardians.Briefly the aim seems to be this:’We [the Parents’ Network] act as a support network for other parents and caregivers whose children and families have been gravely impacted by social media harms.’In case this isn’t clear:’The Archewell Foundation and the network will work to unite and uplift parents and caregivers and systematically change the social media platforms that create a harmful and dangerous environment for young people around the world.’No, really, what does the Parents’ Network do?It appears to want to be an influence or pressure group. To what end? My guess is: censoring social media.Governments have implemented, or are the process of implementing, legislation dealing with online safety. So there’s no point campaigning for that. The website states: ‘It is time that social media companies improve their safety measures and that people in power hold them to account. Join us in adding your voice so we can no longer be ignored.’Some observations on content* The text is inconsistent: see example above. It also contains these statements which don’t make sense: ‘…these platforms should be a destination where young people can communicate, thrive and learn. Instead online spaces are designed to keep our children scrolling and waiting for the next notification, like or comment.’That’s comparing apples and oranges. Learning and socialising online are different things. And it promotes communication, but condemns forms of communication, viz ‘scrolling and waiting for the next notification, like or comment.’* In my opinion, the writing isn’t great. It’s not impactful; it reads like something written by a moderately talented high school student in the late 1980s. Using short sentences, complete with repeated words for emphasis, for impact and drama (’We share our stories. We share our resources. We take action. Together’) is dated. The practice now is to get the message across with succinct sentences, because people aren’t stupid.* Confusingly there’s a sentence that states: ‘In 2023 we were brought together by The Archewell Foundation.’Firstly - Who’s ‘we’? The landing page has the logos of The Archewell Foundation and of Parents’ Network - but didn’t the former begat the latter?Secondly - Sycophantic write-ups elsewhere mention that the Parents’ Network had a 2-year pilot / testing gestation. If so, what’s with 2023? Can someone not count? Or did the Parents’ Network start off like the birth of an illegitimate child in 2021, before being acknowledged by its parent in 2023?Fun ‘fact’: ‘Since inception, The Foundation has been working to find solutions to the rapidly escalating crisis in youth mental health.’ They’ve certainly kept this work quiet. On an irrelevant note - there are loads of Parents’ Networks: the [British] Army Parents’ Network, the Solihull Parents’ Network, [the Council of Europe] Parents’ Network - that must be why Meghan hasn’t trademarked the name.Link to a website of a proper foundation: The Royal Foundation for Early Childhood post link: https://ift.tt/J3fxSH4 author: Mickleborough submitted: August 05, 2024 at 10:13PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Putting out another warning for the user dreamerdollface for likely being a potential scammer for the following suspicious behavior:
Inconsistent language: they say they're a domestic abuse victim trying to escape & that they've managed to physically save up, quote, "$267", but when they're updating the post on how many donations they've received, they use pounds (£). Idk why you would start off by using one & then changing the the other. Proof below for that
Allegedly no social media presence outside of tumblr: Their paypal username that they give (@DahliaArt206) seems to suggest they are an artist, but this user has never posted any of their own art & does not give any other social media accounts where their art would be active otherwise. I've noticed this is a trend with scammers to say they are an artist, but never post any art (OR they'll post stolen art)
Evidence of possible backtracking: their blog has allegedly been up & reblogging a few things since 2021, but their reblogs don't show up in the older notes (meaning, it's likely they backtracked, since notes are not affected by backtracking & will not appear older than they actually are)
Inconsistent proof/information: The have a profile picture showing what is probably allegedly of themselves, but in the "proof" they give of their donation post is blurred, and then a face is also shown on their paypal. Why would you blur out your own face if you're cool with showing it in the other two, and you're trying to prove this is you? But even when blurred, the face looks like a white person with a completely different face than the other two, who are Asian, and ALSO look completely different from each other. The "proof" photo has a much longer, pointier nose & a longer face than the tumblr pfp, and the paypal pfp also has a longer nose than the tumblr pfp (which has a quite short nose). These literally all look like different people. Mismatching evidence is also a common tactic because its stolen from multiple sources, & so is obscuring certain photos or information to try make it look more plausible or like it adds up. (Proof below.)
Similar behavior of language/behavior as other scammers: they have a similar cadence & ways of speaking as well as the same inconsistencies of information (like with photos or information on their location/currency) as other scammers such as fairyfungirl, nevermindblog (who also was allegedly from the UK but asked for donations in American dollars), & jezzzzmm (inconsistent photos, censored some photos but not others, asked for donations in American dollars but claimed it was for a nonamerican relative). They've also been @ing many of the same users on this site to get them to reblog their posts (in particular MANY popular Black users on here, which is vile to do on BHM)& scammers usually like to continually go to the same people to get them to rb different scam posts, & I've had to warn several users of this
Two replies have already been hidden on their tumblr donation post, and replies have been turned off. This is a big red flag of scammer behavior & a very common tactic due to scammeds turning off & hiding replies as soon as someone calls them out or questions their behavior (Proof below)

So does Vlad never call himself a vampire? Do people in Chaldea avoid using the word around him?
it's a little inconsistent in his earlier writing. on the subject of avoiding using the word, his first interlude has him so apparently touchy about the entire vampire subject that he even reacts negatively to mash just saying 'dracula' and she spends the entire rest of the interlude self-censoring every other time she would normally say it, which they dropped that after that interlude, probably because it is also still his name/part of his dad's name so it might've seemed a little odd. but anyway in conjunction with how many times he keeps saying he's not a vampire and how negatively we've seen him react to the subject in other sources (like apoc) it can be assumed that anyone at chaldea who's not trying to piss him off would avoid it, at least if he's in earshot. as for vlad himself, yeah, the gist pretty consistently now seems to be that he doesn't consider himself a vampire and he wants to not be thought of as one, he's just come to terms with the fact that he's stuck with the powers of one and is willing to use those powers to some degree (which, as mentioned, is something his apoc lancer self would rather die than ever do.)
i mean in a more literal sense it is definitely possible there's a line of dialogue where he does directly call himself a vampire in some context but if there is i. have forgotten it and can't find it just from skimming. but that's the overall sentiment regardless.
guy who is not related to vampires in any way.

could i ask for some miscellaneous hels facts in these trying times? :3
Ohh! I wonder what I haven’t said yet because Ecto and I still talk about all of them and I have no clue what y’all know 😂
How about these? :3
Hex (Oblivion Mumbo Hels) despises being human and often resorts to augmenting himself with his own technology. He finds value and strength in machinery and the human body is quite disgusting! He will simply sit and stare at a plate of food until it grows cold or spoils if he’s given one. Chewing and swallowing and digestion- Augh! He hates it so
I like to think a Gealach (Grian Hels) is actually most similar to a Life Series!Grian as opposed to Hermitcraft Grian. And the lil guy sure loves his pranks, of course 😌
Similar to Gea, Lesion (Original Scar Hels) is most similar to both Tycoon!Scar and Last Life’s Red Life!Scar
Sic actually has shorter hair now! He doesn’t have the long braid like he used to
The realm/dimension of Hels itself tried to replace Tango before Waltz was considered code-wise a resident of Hels and Tangos Hels at that. This other tango is named Tempo and he is very Creechur and is much like a roach 😂
Speaking of roach! My Helsknight’s name is Roach :) Both referencing his stubborn nature and, yes, Geralt’s horse
The districts operate much like a regular government. The Ridge specifically has tight borders and getting in and getting out is difficult. Being run on a dictator-partnership, there is actually propaganda, censoring, and economic rules in place to keep citizens inside the Ridge. Walls surround the district and the people are separated into classes. Hard work is valued and people will work on large projects for Clap or Bach until they quite literally drop. People who used to work in the mines would smuggle others out of the Ridge before the mines were blown up to get rid of Sic and his spiders
Sic probably babies his little spiders, to be honest
Hmm…Oh! Sever is a vex because he is a vex clone of Scar meant to be a replacement of Scar for the Vex. Lesion has and will continue to study the vex and worship them just as Scar and Cub did
The vex clone of Cub that was sent with Sever lives in the ridge. He’s worked with Patho (Etho Hels)
Hex has a body farm under his lab. He studies respawn mechanics and can now repeatedly use Oblivion’s inconsistencies to create more Mumbo Hels. This is how he creates lives to use to bring him back to life, should he die permanently. Unfortunately this lead to a Mumbo escaping and this is how Odon was created. Odon is uh. Another Mumbo Hels of mine 😂
Hels when they’re created go through a brief period of time (different for everyone) where they’re much like their counterparts or otherwise seem quite innocent. After that period, it kicks in that they’re Hels and they behind to act out and develop their individual personalities
Vespa did try to take the Dead Islands after he killed Lesion but it failed because of the shrink in his own district- people leaving and his reputation being nearly ruined. If that shrink hadn’t happened, he would currently own the Dead Islands
The Dead Islands is the only district in Hels other than the Depths where citizens use elytra. I would say Vespa’s does but only his soldiers can fly to distinguish them from other people
Genuinely, Vespa is a Dick™️
I have a Biffa Hels named Alpha who used to run the Hills (which at the time were not call the hills) with Vespa. Sever to Vespa now is much like how Vespa was to Alpha
Alphas design is heavily based on Ultron and I just think that’s pretty neat
Hmmmmmm….Gea would like the End and The Void. The Void is so kind to him and there are faces in it that recognize him for some reason

Arrhg...!
Nightbringer is driving me a little crazy.
Don't get me wrong, I like it. The story is engaging and I'm learning a lot about these characters. (Albeit I already knew some of it because of my fixation with overanalyzing my favorite characters and stories. Not the point.) The new art is lovely as well and the battle sprites are all adorable! The characters, the bosses and the even the boss attack notes are precious. (On that note I would love to get a high quality image of Belphie's sheep. I love it so very much!)
That said there are still some aggravating bugs and issues.
Inconsistent flash sale items. At first it seemed like we were getting level rewards at 15 then every five levels after. I was even hoping that it would switch to every level at some point but instead it seems there was bug that made it not pop up at all. Now I'm never sure when it'll pop up. The same for the AP sale that's supposed to pop up when the player runs out. This is making it very difficult to finish the events. Speaking of events....
Fast paced events. This is less of an issue if you have lots of time on your hands but a lot of players don't. I've seen other players complain about this before and after Nightbringer's launch. I'm kinda feeling it now because I only did well in the first Nightbringer event because of the starter pack I bought. I literally can't afford another expense like that yet. I couldn't roll any cheat cards and I'm still stuck in box one! I feel deflated. And to make matters worse the main story is still rolling out so lesson 12 came out on the same day as a [censored] LOOT BOX event! Audyvzigzcxsyjbdh?!
No x2 in events. I really hope this changes eventually because I'm absolutely positive that I'm not getting to box four. (No battle sprite outfits for me. 🥲) Og Obey Me has two days of boosted points for getting an edge in events but Nightbringer does not. It's killing me. I'm super happy to be able to play the story without keys. I hope keys stay gone. I even appreciate the hard and extreme stages in Nightbringer events. But I am already struggling to get AP, can we please have the boosts back? Pretty please?
On a more personal note the story itself is giving me some... feelings. I do like the story. It's smoother than og Obey Me and MC's options are pure gold which gives the whole experience a more immersive feel. But I keep wondering where this is going. (And that's a good thing!) I'm still worried a bit about how much information is going to get retconned. Although surprisingly not a whole lot has been (yet).
The biggest thing on my mind is how fucked up it all is? MC is being told that Nightbringer wants happiness. A word that has been tossed around a lot already. But weren't we already happy? How does that make sense? Solomon is pushing MC to make a choice but neglects to explain that he knows what's going on? Or at least he knows Nightbringer and doesn't tell MC that. I don't know who to trust anymore. And what happened to all the demon's eat humans stuff? And the brothers recalling how they used to corrupt human souls? Lucifer even said he enjoyed consuming human souls! How is that going happen? Is it going to happen? Are we supposed to believe that it was made up to scare MC? Or...?
I legit want to go home. To the present. To the version of the brothers who remember all the crazy stuff we've been through. I want the version of Mammon who clearly made some mistakes but grew from them. Who has probably partied as hard as the Avatar of Lust and came out wiser and with more experience. I love him no matter what but I'm an adult. I know how important it is to experience things. To fuck it all up. To piece yourself back together and move on. I want to help him do that but I fell in love with the version of him that already did. I don't want to abandon present Mammon for past Mammon. I don't want warp time and space unless I absolutely have to. I want to punch Nightbringer in the face. I want to make out with Mammon again. I want my degenerate fade to black scenes.
Yes. Yes I am. I am a greedy spoiled brat who just wants my man back. My bed back. My bros back. My Zombie iguana back. My Mammon hellbobo back. My suspiciously matching earring back. Just let me save the three worlds or whatever so I can have my life back. 'Kay?
#nightbringer spoilers#obey me nightbringer#mammon obey me#om! mammon#obey me mammon#obey me#obey me shall we date#obey me one master to rule them all#nightbringer mammon#obey me nightbringer spoilers#om! nightbringer#just ranting#losing my mind one day at a time#Currently suffering from pms and I want Mammon to hug me

I keep saying this, but as (at times) inconsistent One Piece has been through the years, Sanji remains the best written character in the series.
Looking back, his every bit of mannerism was already telling us everything we needed to know, and I’m still so proud to have foreshadowed his mental state years before his story was revealed.
I’ll write a more in depth analysis eventually, but starting from the Baratie Restaurant, we learn of this introverted, “cool” chain smoker, who wears a suit and accepts no disrespect towards food, or his adoptive father.
He speaks in a very hushed tone, and seems to put up this image for every bit of his personality and appearance. A carefully crafted exterior, which occasionally breaks when he shows excitement talking about his dream of “All Blue”. It’s as though he made the conscious choice to censor as much of himself as possible, convincing himself that the few characteristics he does show are the only acceptable ones. These are mainly his chivalry, and relationship with food, which are more values than personality. Even his skill with cooking stems from a deep seated need for control, where not one, but two metaphors involving starvation, lead us to imagine a possible eating disorder.
He is willing to sacrifice himself immediately out of the idea he is indebted to his father, and refuses to leave the Restaurant where he grew up, despite his dream. This is very important, because it makes the viewer stop to think for a moment.
Feeling indebted is understandable, but to put one’s own life at a complete halt due to an act of kindness at the hands of someone else already gave us a huge clue as to Sanji’s upbringing. Before Zeff, he was a child surrounded by a biological family who left him mentally and physically destroyed. In such circumstances, he grew without the fundamental concept of worth.
Therefore, any act of kindness would equal an insurmountable level of debt he would need to pay off. And seeing how he perceives himself as worthless, he often relies on sacrificing himself for the benefit of others.
I presume Zeff suspected as such, despite Sanji never mentioning anything, and purposefully kicks him out of the Restaurant, pushing him to fulfill his dream, and above all, live his life. What Sanji had to experience and understand throughout the journey, is how others care for him as well.
However, trauma so severe couldn’t possibly heal that quickly, and I’ve said before how impressed I am with Oda’s approach with depicting trauma in such detail (Sanji’s panic attacks at the thought of seeing his family, twitching, sweating, snapping, chain smoking, etc). Despite the years of bonding, affection, taking care of the crew’s basic needs, trusting them blindly, he still subconsciously believes to be interchangeable. The idea of being able to rely on them for anything substantial, especially against the titanic level where his family stands, is inconceivable. This was further implemented by his trauma, where victims of abuse catastrophize the power of their abusers.
His affection towards his biological family despite the abuse however, is the most difficult challenge to face. Fundamentally, he believes to have a chance still at redeeming himself in their eyes, perhaps as an adult. His punishment, someway somehow being rational and understandable, if he could only figure out what the right thing to do is.
Once he understands there is no answer to that question, is when he finds freedom. However, this realization is devastating.
He chooses to save his biological family, with the condition of never interacting with them again, his mind free of doubt over how no father would wish for his own son’s death.
This is where Whole Cake Island ends. Sanji joins the crew once more, with a newfound sense of self worth and from any Shounen we’d expect that to be the end of it.
But it isn’t. Because trauma doesn’t work like that, and Oda knows. Despite his determination, Sanji consistently shows signs of not only being tied to his family (politically or metaphorically), but shows constant anxiety over becoming anything like them, perpetuating the cycle of a put up personality.
While Sanji is aware of his found family and their affection, it will take time to fully break free from the vicious cycle of depression and panic he falls back into.
Now, looking at fictional characters as means to tell a story, Oda was making a statement. He wanted to give anyone struggling, anyone who at one time felt their life slipping away, anyone who considered suicide, a fighting chance, by using his privilege as artist and writer with the biggest platform.

PSA: Be conscious of biased algorithms!
By: SUMMER
I recently read “A Sea of Data: Apophenia and Pattern (Mis-)Recognition”, a chapter in the book Duty Free Art by Hito Steyerl. She discusses the growing issue that data analysts face in a world where there is an overwhelming amount of data to go through - how to differentiate between signal and noise. She argues, “Vision loses importance and is replaced by filtering, decrypting, and pattern recognition”.
I thought that her idea applied to us as media consumers and social media users on an everyday scale in a similar way. We’re being hit with so much information at all times that our brains sometimes go on autopilot, constantly deciding what’s worth paying attention to and what has to go. On social media, we end up curating a stream of content that perfectly caters to our interests and shows us what we believe is important - that’s us separating signal from noise.
Who does social media actually care about? Steyerl references a mythical Ancient Greek story in which affluent male locals” produced actual speech, while “women, children, slaves, and foreigners” were just noise - annoying and irrelevant. I thought of our last Digital Humanities class, where we talked about how social media platforms function and whose interests they prioritize. While we do have some control over what we want to see on our feeds, we concluded that biased algorithms maintain feeds that are dominated by people who are white, able-bodied, conventionally attractive, etc. Some of my classmates noted how marginalized communities, like LGBTQ+ folks, are being censored and shadow-banned on social media. It sounds an awful lot like a modern-day equivalent of that Ancient Greek story.
TikTok users speak out about their posts being wrongly shadowbanned and flagged for violating Community Guidelines.
Not to burst your bubble... “Dirty data” is a term that Steyerl uses, which can mean inaccurate and inconsistent data, but should also be understood as “real data” that “documents the struggle of real people with a bureaucracy that exploits the uneven distribution and implementation of digital technology”. What she means by this is that entire groups of people are ignored - “not taken into account” - because these digital and social structures simply do not work in their favor. We're at fault here, too - the downside of having that control over curating our feeds is that we tend to trap ourselves in a bubble. We make connections that reinforce our existing worldviews and cry “dirty data!” at the stuff that doesn’t fit the mold that we’re comfortable with. Organizations like Logic are recognizing this issue and making plans to use their platform to amplify the voices of typically silenced groups of people, like trans and Indigenous writers. Action like this is important in broadening our perspectives and making room for content outside of the bubbles that we and our biased algorithms have worked together to create.
Data vs. reality What are the dangers of relying too heavily on these algorithms to analyze data? To what extent do the patterns they find correspond to actual reality? In the chapter, Steyerl talks about automated apophenia: computers perceiving connections in data where there aren’t any. She prompts us to consider the real-life consequences of making decisions based on these phantom patterns. In recent years, tenant screening technology used in selling and renting homes has been threatening housing equality due to its programmed bias. This article from Curbed explains how the problem boils down to tech experts designing these systems “in a vacuum”, without any knowledge on civil rights or social implications. The NSA’s SKYNET program that Steyerl references in his chapter is the same type of issue on a larger, deadlier scale.
I won’t deny how important technology is for our everyday functioning, but it isn’t perfect or limitless by any means. Supposedly objective and fact-based algorithms often become reflections of our own human biases. But if we’re the ones who wrote them, then we can be the ones to recognize their flaws and work towards fixing them!

should i watch spn be honest
is it worth it
I am not recommending it, strictly speaking, but if you do, watch like… the first 5 seasons, and if you really need more, up to the end of season 7.
As for the rest, it’s a very hit-or-miss cashcow built on canon inconsistencies because of fan service and an extreme bias in Dean’s favor. And, I cannot stress this enough, the majority of the late seasons writers didn’t even watch the entire show. There’s actually a line in early season 13 where Sam says that Dean chose to “help” him when he was “evil” rather than leave him for dead. This is literally the exact opposite of what happened, but it got twisted into Dean saving him because of confirmation bias. And if you saw the infamous scene from 15x18, it’s pretty clear that Dean does not really reflect the things that Cas says. But, again, fan service.
By extension, if you do watch, stay far away from the fandom.
Going to talk about the bigotry of the show below the cut here (tw for talk of racism, misogyny, homophobia, and abuse apologia).
The show is a MotW format, but they appropriate a lot from indigenous cultures when they should and could just take from general folklore (see the title of 1x02 for example… and the awfulness of 1x08). It also features a lot of copaganda. I’ve noticed a pattern where half the time, antagonist cops are black men while protagonist cops are white women, which goes hand in hand with some of their villain choices…
On top of that, Dean has an Asian fetish (this is a consistent joke of the writers spanning as far as season 3 to season 14, from what I’ve seen) and subscribes to a magazine called “Busty Asian Beauties.” There is an episode in season 13 where he raises a gun to a young woc in an episode that specifically highlights how she is affected by racism, and then she gets fridged for her white woman love interest the next episode…
Sam is the more progressive one (he’s meant to be the liberal to Dean’s conservative) but in earlier seasons at least he’s a very lukewarm liberal. He gets some explicit character development on the bad points here (such as how he views prison) but the show never really moves on from the copaganda in general. If anything, it actually leans into it more with time. One of the protagonist cops absolutely abuses her power over a man in her custody and is still justified by the narrative even though the guy ends up proven innocent. All in the name of being a girlboss ig?
They tried for a Feminist spin-off (about two cops who adopt some wayward girls), but the series is actually deeply misogynistic. This is obvious from the get-go. Dean’s introduction to the show as an adult is him making Sam’s girlfriend uncomfortable because she’s underdressed, for example. He actually only gets worse, as he goes on to show a consistent interest in minors, have him be a peeping tom (even as late as season 11), and call every woman antagonist gendered slurs.
It’s been said on repeat “Hey, maybe don’t headcanon a sexual predator as queer…” and responses to that have varied from “No, he’s not a sexual predator” to “He is a sexual predator but queer men need to be represented as predators!” He’s painfully heterosexual though and any jokes people take out of context to suggest otherwise are just playing on the fact that he’s hetero so him having “feminine interests” (such as soap operas) would be “funny.” All of this is especially ironic when you consider that Sam was more or less confirmed MLM in s4 (barely past the censors) but is considered “the straight one” by fans.
They also brought a dead woman character back from the dead to give as a “gift” to Dean and show zero perspective on how she feels being literally objectified in this way. She is then expected to parent these two men she does not know. Wild.
Dean is predictably homophobic as well (though it doesn’t show up in explicit terms as often as his misogyny+racism) but fans either don’t acknowledge this or call it overcompensation.
And if I went into the topic of Dean’s abuse, we’d be here all day, but it’s an endless stream of abuse apologia from start to finish, from how John abuses his children to how Dean abuses Sam and Cas, even to people torturing Sam.
So, yeah, watch to your own detriment. The characters obviously inspire a lot from people, but the entire series is a wreck.

hey. wanna see me write a call-out post for a shitty board game brand manager you've never heard of, and recap some tangentially mass effect-related local forum drama? i was tempted to censor who this guy is, but he does literally get into internet fights under his legal name and while declaring his work title and company, so...
first, a bit of context. in October 2024 Mass Effect: The Boardgame - Priority: Hagalaz (the title is reported inconsistently and i find the number of colons funny) goes up for pre-orders. it features beloved characters from the original ME trilogy, specifically those introduced in the first game, and is set during ME3.
video game discourse and culture war nonsense being what they are, people immediately notice the characters have their pronoun sets on their cards, and get mad. some fanboys get more specific, taking issue with Liara T'Soni's pronouns reported as she/they, and accusing the boardgame designer of not knowing original game's lore (never mind that Liara literally says she is not a woman in a key conversation in the first game, and that her first pronoun is still she).
the game gets review-bombed on boardgamegeek.com, its rating dismal and constantly changing (currently under 5/10 - very low for the site). the website tries to fight back, some fake reviews get deleted, long-time forum members get banned and bitch about it on twitter, it's a whole thing. the creator calls out the "anti-woke" bullshit on twitter and asks people who actually played the game to legitimately rate it, gets hate.
the biggest czech boardgaming site, zatrolene-hry.cz, also has discussion threads for upcoming games, and an article about the drama gets linked there. the discussion is mostly about how silly the whole thing is, plus BGG.com's response, with a couple self-identified "anti-DEI" movement members complaining about being oppressed by minorities. until:
an employee of the Czech branch of Asmodée (which has been announced to eventually publish the translated version in Czechia) weighs in, saying that the Czech version will absolutely not have pronouns if he can help it. translation by me bellow:
Well, we find it absolutely pointless, so there will be no pronouns on the Czech version of character sheets (we won't put them there and we're willing to argue with the publisher about it). It would make no sense to put them there.
if you're familiar with Slavic languages, you might think he's saying the pronouns are redundant information in a heavily gendered language, where the character's pronouns can be inferred from basically any statement made about them, or maybe that he knows from experience translations often need to condense the text to fit the same information on a card the same size as the original. nope!
he doubles down when questioned by other users, quickly devolving into overt transphobia, including a remixed attack helicopter joke (which most users don't get and mock the person who calls it out).
Could you please elaborate on what led to this decision? Is it an attempt to appease, or fear of upsetting someone, or some kind of power play, or what? As in, "We are Asmodee CZ and if you insist on it, we won't publish it. Don't you know, we know best what makes sense for your product and what does not." Do I get it or am I missing something? The pronouns make sense to me, because if I'm unfamiliar with the source material, then by just looking at images of aliens I won't easily recognize whether they're a he, she, it, or they.
I don't understand the question. Just as thousands of board games across the world over the last X years managed without pronouns, Mass Effect will too. The pronouns have absolutely no purpose there. Liara is a female-looking character, why should there be anything written under her? If you want, play the game with the feeling she identifies as a tram.
in reaction to someone assuming the decision carries over from the video game's localization (i don't see how? not like there's an in-game codex of characters with their pronouns?):
The translation is done by the PC game's translator. He pointed out the pronouns long before the internet shitstorm and we immediately agreed not to use them. So if anybody here is concerned about some kind of political decision, this was a purely practical one, quite a while ago. And it has been shown to be correct. Careful with the (lore-justifiable) identification of Liara as a woman, someone could have an aneurysm.
Slovak user Daqan, who criticized the transphobia on display, got a now-deleted response (the comment allegedly recommended seeking mental help, though i don't have the original text):
This comment earned you a complaint for inappropriate conduct sent to your parent company Asmodee.com
[This post broke the rules of the forum and was thus deleted. The reason was, in our view, verbally attacking (mocking, denigrating, etc.) a person or group of people.]
Now that's what I call a Brand Manager :-)
after this, two different site admins weigh in. Michal gets mad about the deleted comment, declares he is "ending his 17 years of cooperation, with immediate effect" with zatrolene-hry.cz, and doesn't participate in any site discussion since. (he has last logged on today, though.)
the forum then turns into a long, day+ spanning discussion about censorship, and whether Daqan is the real villain in all this. also arguing about whether the character who says, out loud, at multiple points, that she is not a woman, is actually a woman because she is referred to as "she" in a 2007 video game.
to top it all off, machine-translated screenshots of Michal's original comments show up on r/boardgames.
#also: i didn't look into this but it has been alleged that asmodee cz has also previously censored a game they localized#specifically mention of a gay relationship in a card's text#also also i didn't think it was relevant to the post but of course you should have pronouns on the character sheets!#there's a character whose pronouns you pick. two aliens of unknowable gender if you aren't familiar with them.#a person whose face is hidden 100% of the time. and a feminine-looking person who is not a woman. come on

what does vpn detected mean
VPN detection explanation
VPN detection is a process used by websites, applications, and online services to identify whether a user is connected through a Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPNs are commonly used to enhance online privacy and security by masking a user's true IP address and encrypting their internet connection. However, some websites and services restrict access to users connecting via VPN for various reasons, such as preventing fraudulent activities, ensuring region-specific content access, or complying with local regulations.
There are several methods that websites employ to detect if a user is using a VPN. One common technique is blacklisting known VPN IP addresses, as many VPN services have a pool of IPs that are publicly listed and easily identifiable. Websites can also analyze network traffic patterns to identify characteristics commonly associated with VPN connections, such as multiple users accessing the site from the same IP address or sudden changes in geolocation.
Another method of VPN detection involves analyzing the behavior of users. Websites may look for inconsistencies in user behavior, such as unusually high browsing speeds or suspiciously frequent changes in IP addresses, which are often indicative of VPN usage. Additionally, websites may employ JavaScript-based tests that check for VPN-related signatures in a user's browser or device.
It is important to note that VPN detection is a cat-and-mouse game, with VPN providers continuously updating their technology to bypass detection methods. Users who legitimately use VPNs for privacy and security reasons may encounter challenges accessing certain websites or services that actively block VPN connections. In such cases, users may need to temporarily disable their VPN or switch to a different server to access the desired content.
VPN detection implications
When it comes to VPN detection, there are several implications that both individuals and organizations need to be aware of. VPN detection refers to the ability to identify and block the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to access certain online content or services. While VPNs are commonly used to enhance online security, privacy, and access to restricted content, their detection can have significant consequences.
For individuals, VPN detection can result in restricted access to geo-blocked content, such as streaming services, social media platforms, or government-censored websites. This limits the ability to browse the internet freely and securely, especially when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks or when traveling abroad. Moreover, the detection of VPN usage by internet service providers (ISPs) or authorities may raise concerns about privacy invasions and data monitoring.
From an organizational perspective, VPN detection can impact businesses that rely on remote access for their operations. Many companies use VPNs to secure their employees' connections while working remotely or to access sensitive information over public networks. If VPN detection measures are implemented, it could disrupt business continuity, compromise data security, and hinder productivity.
Overall, the implications of VPN detection highlight the ongoing battle between privacy advocates and entities seeking to control access to online content. Finding a balance between security measures and respecting individuals' rights to online privacy is crucial in navigating the complexities of VPN detection. Ultimately, staying informed about VPN detection implications can help both individuals and organizations make informed decisions about their online activities and security measures.
Methods of VPN detection
As virtual private networks (VPNs) become increasingly popular for safeguarding online privacy and security, so too do the methods used to detect and potentially block their usage. Whether employed by internet service providers, network administrators, or even governmental agencies, these detection methods vary in complexity and effectiveness. Here are several common techniques used for VPN detection:
Deep Packet Inspection (DPI): DPI involves inspecting the data packets passing through a network to identify VPN traffic based on its unique characteristics. VPN protocols often have discernible patterns that DPI tools can recognize, allowing for the targeted blocking of VPN connections.
Protocol Analysis: Some detection methods focus on analyzing the specific protocols used by VPNs, such as OpenVPN, IPSec, or L2TP/IPSec. By monitoring for these protocols' signatures or behaviors, network administrators can identify and restrict VPN usage.
IP Address Blacklisting: VPN servers typically have known IP addresses, which can be blacklisted by network administrators to prevent access to VPN services. Additionally, IP addresses associated with VPN traffic may be flagged and blocked in real-time.
DNS Filtering: Domain Name System (DNS) filtering involves intercepting DNS requests and blocking access to domains associated with VPN services. This method can effectively prevent users from connecting to VPN servers by denying resolution of their domain names.
Port Blocking: VPN traffic often utilizes specific ports for communication, such as TCP port 443 (HTTPS) or UDP port 1194 (OpenVPN). By selectively blocking these ports, network administrators can impede VPN connections while allowing other types of traffic to pass through.
Behavioral Analysis: Some advanced detection systems analyze users' behavior patterns to identify potential VPN usage. For example, sudden increases in encrypted traffic or connections to known VPN servers may trigger further scrutiny.
As VPN technology evolves, so too do the methods of detection employed by those seeking to control or restrict its usage. VPN users should remain vigilant and consider employing additional measures, such as obfuscation techniques or using lesser-known VPN providers, to enhance their privacy and bypass detection efforts.
VPN detection prevention
VPN detection prevention is a crucial topic in today's digital landscape where online privacy and security are of utmost importance. VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) are tools that help users encrypt their internet connection and mask their IP addresses, providing anonymity and security while browsing the web. However, some websites and online services actively block VPN users from accessing their content due to various reasons such as geo-restrictions, high traffic loads, or security concerns.
There are several methods that websites and online services use to detect and block VPN users. These include blacklisting known VPN IP addresses, analyzing traffic patterns and behavior, and using advanced fingerprinting techniques to detect VPN usage. To prevent VPN detection and ensure uninterrupted access to online content, users can employ certain strategies.
One effective method to prevent VPN detection is to use dedicated IP addresses provided by the VPN service. Dedicated IPs are less likely to be blacklisted compared to shared IP addresses, making it harder for websites to block VPN users. Additionally, users can choose VPN providers that offer obfuscation or stealth technologies to mask VPN traffic and make it appear like regular traffic.
Another way to prevent VPN detection is to switch servers frequently. By rotating between different servers and IP addresses, users can evade detection and access geo-restricted content seamlessly. Furthermore, avoiding free VPN services known to be commonly blacklisted and opting for reputable paid VPN services can also help prevent detection.
In conclusion, VPN detection prevention is essential for maintaining online privacy and accessing unrestricted content. By utilizing dedicated IP addresses, obfuscation technologies, server rotation, and choosing reliable VPN services, users can effectively evade detection and enjoy a secure online experience.
VPN detection consequences
VPN detection consequences can have significant impacts on both individuals and organizations. When VPN usage is detected, it can result in various consequences depending on the context and the entities involved.
For individuals, the consequences of VPN detection can range from mild inconvenience to more severe outcomes. In some cases, individuals may face restrictions or penalties from the service providers or platforms they are accessing. For example, streaming platforms often block access to content when they detect VPN usage, limiting the individual's entertainment options. Additionally, some websites may enforce stricter security measures or even ban users who attempt to access their services through a VPN, citing potential security risks or violations of terms of service.
On a more serious note, individuals using VPNs to bypass geo-restrictions or engage in illegal activities may face legal repercussions if their VPN usage is detected by law enforcement agencies. This could lead to investigations, fines, or even criminal charges, depending on the nature of the activities involved.
For organizations, VPN detection can also have significant consequences, particularly in terms of cybersecurity and data protection. If employees use VPNs to bypass corporate firewalls or access sensitive information from unauthorized locations, it can pose serious security risks to the organization. VPN detection may prompt the organization to implement stricter security measures, such as monitoring network traffic more closely or restricting VPN access altogether.
Overall, the consequences of VPN detection underscore the importance of understanding and complying with relevant laws and regulations, as well as implementing appropriate security measures to protect both individuals and organizations from potential risks.
