Yes, she knew she was taking a huge risk at being found out by coming up here but she found she just could not wait until later that evening to sing for her guests. As far as they were concerned a mysterious, yet oddly familiar succubus had come to participate in the Open Mic.

She looked towards the guests and began to sing.

Her low and honeyed voice surely carried over the background chatter of the guest's voice. Enough to turn a few heads at least.

She finished her song with a playful little curtsy and sauntered off stage. This was just a little warmup. Her true performance would be much more extravagant.

so ive been thinking on neils ask and answer about the joint miracle crowley and aziraphale performed. now the way it could read is that the two didn't used to have the power of resurrection/power that is capable of resurrection, but now they do. but could also read that they didn't (as is, retrospectively from now) have the power, because it doesn't belong to them. it's this latter possibility that im going to look at because honestly? the whole thing feels to me a bit OP.

so i realise that it's not necessarily about resurrection as an act, but instead the potential to resurrect. regardless, im going to start from key moments of resurrection as a marker for their abilities:

first notion we have in s1, exactly as neil remarks, is aziraphale is able to revive a dove after warlock's birthday party. originally, this was crowley in the book (and was reportedly swapped for blocking reasons), so im going by the show only in this post to keep consistency:

and this is supported by crowley intimating in the resurrectionist minisode that aziraphale was too late to save morag - that he could only have helped when she was still alive but instead she died whilst aziraphale was dithering:

in fact, to me, the only time i can recall in GO (ie shout at me if wrong) we see anyone successfully resurrected is by adam, and this is marked by the reappearance of my beloved lesley, the international express delivery man:

"Adam had rebooted reality... people who were dead were now alive, and things that were broken were miraculously restored."

the only issue appears to be that crowley now seems to be able to exercise a power of resurrection in s2, where he appears to 'bring back' mr brown, and do so rather confidently as if he always had this kind of power...

this confidence would mirror what he says to shax, here:

although, whilst it may be implied that mr brown was killed by the demon, we only truly see him being hurtled through the air. and, whilst crowley appears to bluff that demons can't hurt humans directly, shax appears to believe him.

now, she could have just come to the resolution that they ought to kill mr brown anyway, rules (fake or not) be damned, but the fact that we don't actually see his death intimates that shax might have just toed the line (the demons yeeted him across the street, but was he technically hurt/killed? was shax responding with her own bluff when saying, "civilian casualty"?)

ergo: was mr brown truly killed in the first place, and therefore did crowley truly resurrect him? i think the majority of people are going to say yes, and i would initially agree, but then we come to the below where crowley appears to have riddled it out:

now it could be a case of s2 giving us the 'what' (they are insanely powerful when working together), but the 'why' (eg. power of being essentially soulmates, love, two halves of the same whole etc.) is what is going to be determined in s3.

but the conclusion that crowley came to (and im thinking entirely with critical-noggin-topped-by-tinfoil-hat head on here) feels a bit odd in the sense that it would be that simple, and doubly-odd that at this point narratively - the series that is meant to set up s3 - that the answer would be given here.

it is a parallel to the fact that crowley and aziraphale seem to work best in cohesion - their body swap proved that somewhat - and the miracle is another example of where working together does work, but neither of them are at the character-development point yet of actually recognising it for what it is and means.

it's definitely the romantic, poetic option - that they are powerful because they do it together - and for that reason i definitely think there's some truth to it, but one of the vibes i got from s2 from multiple set pieces is that things are not initially as they seem. a couple of those things appear to have been resolved (gabriel/beelzebub, for example) but there are a load of chekhov's guns left lying around the metaphorical armoury, and i have to wonder if this is one that we all thought was decommissioned.

i want to also add that the gabriel miracle, in terms of set up, directly mirrors the facing down of satan. a key difference is that in s1, they are holding hands with the literal son of satan, whereas in s2, they are holding hands with a former archangel that doesn't appear to have any power whatsoever:

now, a miracle wasn't performed in the airfield scene (as far as we saw anyway, but potentially not counting adam's ability to retcon papa-dear), but this is directly after aziraphale names adam as 'human incarnate.' furthermore, this incredibly astute observation on the power of names by @rudeaziraphale highlights that adam, by definition of his given name, is meant to be human incarnate, and always was. and then we take into account crowley's line at the end of s1:

"For my money, the really big one is all of us, against all of them."

"What? Heaven and hell, against... humanity?"

so actually, is this what the miracle comes down to? that the power they exhibited is not just crowley and aziraphale together, but them, and humanity binding them together? crowley and aziraphale were always meant to be the same character - we know this from when neil has talked about the initial drafts he sent to terry - but actually are they truly whole without the entity that made them, influenced them, into who and what they are now?

the last thing i'll note is neil's earlier march ask here, which indicates that to bring someone back from the dead is a 'heavier weight than they could lift'. that may well just simply reference that together they could do it, absolutely, but i have to wonder if there is a secret third ingredient in the mix as well.

I know you'd have to do a fair amount of speculating since we don't know all of the Sins very well (or at all), but what designations do you think the rest of the Princes would have?

Queen Bee of Gluttony (Beelzebub)- Ladies giving off Alpha, Master vibes, loud, proud, and in charge but cares about everyone else while doing it (even if only for her own gain but im not about to poke the proverbial beehive with any theories weve seen the Queen for maybe five minutes not including her song) and Tex is giving off Beta Caregiver ones, not afraid to put others in their place for his job but alright with being subservient as well, and he at least appears to like taking care of people in a way inherentlydifferent than Bee.

Belphegor- All we know is that Bee used the pronouns she/her and they're apparently close enough Bee often raids her stash of drugs and she had to lock them away and called her a jackass for trying in the first place. She is also the sin of Sloth, and her ring seems fairly peaceful if a bit incompetent with time management and undereducated if the fact that the receptionist at a clinic couldn't spell or read both likely stemming from an inherent laziness the demons in the Ring possess. Still, from what we understand she has the hospitals and the Ring looks pretty safe and clean otherwise, so I'm going with Beta Neutral. She likely wouldn't want to put forth the effort needed to care for someone, and while she probably would like to be doted on, even that is too much work if that makes sense? The laziest thing here is nothing at all.

Satan- We've seen Wrath and it's kinda country/ old western-y, but all we know about him is Bee referred to him as like a brother to her and she thought he was hot without his shirt on. This gives me two theories. 1. He's a gym bro who doesn't really care about his ring so the imps and demons have to make their own society and rules via western justice and such (This one would be an Alpha, Master) or 2. He's one of those horny yeehaw adult novel country boys, and iykyk >.> I'm talking ripped field hand and/or cowboy type who's down to earth, has a southern drawl, and sun-kissed skin atop rippling muscles from a hard day's work. My personal headcanon until otherwise, and this one is an Alpha, Neutral. (I am not really a big Twitter user so if we know anything else about him or Leviathan I don't)

Leviathan- Trickiest one here as all I know, or think I know, is that the vast majority of it is underwater. The native demons are shark-like, and that's about it. Oh, and his sin is Envy, obviously. Given how many shark demons become associated either with loaning money or the mafia, I would say that the inhabitants at least also exhibit aspects of Greed quite easily as the two sins could go hand in hand as with Envy enough is never enough and they will always be coveting the next big thing. So I'm going with Alpha, Master for now.

Mammon- He's a controlling, manipulative, douchebag who can't even come up with a decent original idea. His whole M.O. is raking in as much money with the least amount of effort possible. Any idea that someone else has that has even a modicum of success he will snatched up, theme parks, robots, rock stars, talent shows, becoming an agent, cereal, the list is honestly endless, the fucking money has his face on it for heaven's sake! Given how badly he reacted to having his authority questioned by someone perceived as lower than him he is an Alpha, Master of the absolute worst kind.

where to even begin??? he means so much to me, like i love him so much and also admire him greatly but also can see when he's doing Not The Healthiest and oughhhh i think i understand what he's doing and why he does things & i sort of find him relatable in kinda of... not major ways?? like i've said this before but he's like a massive dork trying to be cool which is definitely something i can relate to, & the whole standing-outside-the-bookshop-waiting-for-aziraphale in the final fifteen, that is something i would do. - & HIS GENDERRRR and i love his funny little things, his collection of Soul Music in the book, the bullet-hole stickers in the bentley window, how he finds Thee Most Ridiculous outfits to wear and pulls it off flawlessly no one questions a thing, asks Aziraphale to come look at a graveyard in the middle of the night with him, let Zira have his deserts, follows him around the neighbourhood on errands, goes to the movies by himself when he's sulking, drives through a wall of hellfire even though half an hour earlier he was going to presumably teleport to alpha centauri, and all his little moments in the book that just make me love him so so so so much and oh dear that's a long sentence isn't it. lots of love for the man(or otherwise)-shaped being. yeah. hehe

my headcanon for Crowley is that he smoked for a really long time, long thin cigarettes, for the Aesthetics and general Cool Person Vibes, but also because it's yknow a vice & is bad for you but people like it & do it anyways. (and not ad for him cos a. demon and b. can;t get sick) he'd sit there in a seductive cloud of smoke as Aziraphale pointedly coughed and complained about the smell of smoke getting into the books. he only gave it up when you stopped being able to smoke in restaurants.

also (it's technically canon and i wrote a little fic about this but anyways) i think Crowley does like reading & does read books but he really likes the kind of books Aziraphale thinks are Beneath Him, like fantasy & sci fi & spy novels, same as he likes sitcoms.

A good old-fashioned Slayer man

The songs really speak to him and unlike his classical records, they fuel his rage and he’s able to let go

This band is definitely not for the faint of heart but it really pumps him up when he's working out especially if he tries to stay on beat with them

When Belphie listens to metal, he is A W A K E and most likely angry at someone/something

He got woken up by Satan trying some new bands out and, at first, craved violence (the lil menace😌)

Surprisingly, I really like the music in this. I don't usually like electronic music, but this one was nice. His voice isn't my favourite, but is still good. NOW THE LYRICS!! Oh dear. Oh my. Oh boy. I was not expecting to catch feelings for Lucifer today, sir. How dare you do this to me. Update: I just got to the second verse...He's a yandere. He is fucking yandere. He's still so full of himself as usual and I WANT TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE BUT I ALSO WANT TO KISS HIM GAAAAAAAH!!!!! LUCIFER YOU ASSHOLE! UPDATE UPDATE: FINAL VERSE! AND THEN THE PRICK GOES BACK TO BEING A ROMANTIC CHARMING LITTLE SHIT 😡😣😖 Final thoughts: I- I- this whole song was a rollercoaster. I love to hate lucifer and hate to love him. I really do. This song embodied that perfectly. I did enjoy the song though.

Opening thought. I am not ready. Very not ready. Mammon is amazing in that art 😍.

Okay, now being serious, I'm sorry Mammon. I adore you to BITS, like so so so much. But this is exactly the kind of EDM that I despise. BUT, I bore through it and kept listening. I don't hate his voice, but he's sing talking. He's not quite rapping, he's sing talking. So it's meh. FUCKING UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: THE CHORUS!!!! THE MF CHORUS!!!! HE SINGS! HE CAN ACTUALLY SING (still not best but pretty good)?! AND THE MUSIC SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER THERE WHEN IT'S SLOW- ... ... ... the auto-tune on his voice on that English line 😤 WHY?!! I WAS JUST GETTING INTO IT!!!

Lyrics time: Honestly, it feels like Mammon got drunk, picked up a mic and started singing to MC, and I mean that in the best way possible. He's being honest in a way we've never seen him be honest before, and he calls himself a tsundere 😂 I love it.

Now the chorus lyrics: I love the chorus. It's so Mammon and just perfect. I love it. The lyrics just- *sighs* it's that possessive side of him that makes him the dork that he is. Okay. t-the lyrics...the lyrics also give me MAJOR suggestive vibes and I'm just here like 😳😳😳 MaMmOn PlEaSe WhAt ArE YoU DoInG?!

Final thoughts: The lyrics are also quite repetitive, which is another pet peeve of mine. All in all, it's not bad. It's just not for me. I'm so sorry Mammon 😭😭😭 That being said, I think it suits Mammon fairly well. Not perfectly, but good.

Leviathan / My Chance:

Opening thoughts: THIS TITLE IS SO CUTE AND IT'S PERFECT FOR HIM uwu Also, the vintage game-esque music is just perfect for Levi's aesthetic. Like, the light piano mixed with it gives me Undertale vibes?? Even before he starts singing, I just think it's really cute and it makes me want to hug him. Again, I'm not in love with his voice, but it's still nice. I do enjoy it.

Lyrics: LEVI BABY ARE YOU OKAY?! SOMEONE GET THIS MAN A THERAPIST 😭😭😭

Chorus: It's so sad, but this is Levi's reality. This song embodies him and everything he is so so so well. It really is perfect for him. But seriously bro. Let me hug you. And then we're gonna work on your self-worth issues because oh boy That last verse though. Oh my goodness 🥺🥺 It is the very definition of pining.

AND THEN THE FINAL CHORUS!!! HE'S BEING SO HONEST ABOUT HIS ANXIETY AND I JUST- 😭😭😭😭 LEVIIIIIIIIII!!!

Final thoughts: *clears throat, wipes tears that are totally not there* Right. So it's obvious that I enjoy this one. It just screams Levi and suits him so well and it also just breaks my heart so...yeah.

Satan / Read My Heart:

The piano. THE 👏 FUCKING 👏 PIANO 👏 So beautiful! The fact that his song is so soft and slow when he himself is meant to represent something so strong and violent is simply poetic. There are moments where I love Satan's singing voice in this and there are moments where I don't like it as much. HIS VOICE IN THE CHORUS IS MY FAVOURITE 😭 So sweet. So just- I love him. I love him so much.

Lyrics: So honest, but I feel that this is almost like a letter from Satan of all the things he wishes he could say. Also, remember that dork who can't say love words out loud headcanon we talked about earlier today? He literally confirms here 🥰🥰 Aww Satan

Chorus: AGAIN! SO HONEST WITH HIS FEELINGS AND HIM TRYING TO KNOW HIMSELF 😭😭😭 It's just so beautiful Stunning. I love it. This one hits all the markers for me. I'm calling it now. I think his lyrics are my favourite, and possibly my favourite song in general. It's just such a beautiful love song. Filled with what he so desperately desires but also his fears and it's so honest it hurts.

Final thoughts: This one made me cry. Like, literally made me cry. It was just so beautiful and perfect. I mean, there's a sad line that uses cats as a metaphor 😭 It's fantastic. Amazing. I can't praise it enough. Where I feel everyone else so far (except poor Levi, poor baby) had something that implied...suggestive things, Satan is just so desperate for love. To feel and experience it and everything that comes with it, and it's just- I love it.

Asmodeus / Pomade:

I actually really really enjoy the music here. It's more pop than EDM and I appreciate that. It's nice. Asmo's voice is also really pleasant to listen to. There's just something about it. I like it a lot. When he holds his notes, it just has this amazing sound and I dunno. I just like it a lot! AND HIS FALSETTO!! HOLY SHIT! AMAZING

Lyrics: I mean... It's exactly what I'd expect from Asmo. It doesn't feel like it's being sung to the MC though. At least not at first. It almost feels like he's singing to an audience at the Fall or something.

Chorus: It's a little more personal, but I feel like we're still only getting that one side of Asmo. We're shown in the second season that he does have insecurities and that there's more to him than being self-obsessed, and I'm kind of disappointed that the song doesn't show that.

Second Verse: We're finally getting personal here. Okay. The table has been turned and now Asmo is finally talking about how he feels about MC and that's more I like it!

Final thoughts: Now that I've listened to the final verse and chorus, I GET IT NOW! It's a story. It's how Asmo first felt like all that was there for him and all he was made for was pleasing the audience. Then you came and it was just a game of trying to make you fall for him, just like he had been able to everyone else. And finally, him realizing that it's him who has become captivated by you and that he loves you! It's actually really sweet and I love that. Sound-wise, this song is fantastic! The music really compliments his voice and it all suits Asmo's character really well.

Beelzebub / Hungry Six-Pack:

So ya'll already know I adore Beel and this ROCK MUSIC AND HIS VOICE MADE ME SWOON! His voice! His voice is FANTASTIC! And the music IS AMAZING!!! I just love the guitar in it. It's (pardon me for this) it's just so damn sexy and I love it so much! THE BRIDGE OF THE SONG IS DAMN HOT OKAY?! I CAN'T GET OVER IT!

Lyrics: What I love about the lyrics is that they confirm my theory of Beel actually being physically impacted by his appetite. He says that it can cause him to get dizzy and I'm just here like 🥺🥺 We really get a sense here of how Beel is actually desperate to stop this appetite. He hates how it impacts him. He hates how it impacts those around him. And I just - 😭😭😭

Final thoughts: As you can clearly see, I love this one. Now, lyrics-wise, I found a comment that really broke down the lyrics in terms of Beel's insecurity with his appetite and his sin and how he struggles with that and it made me appreciate the song all that much more and I just- I love this song. (The comment was left by Felix The Lemon on this if you don't understand the utter heartbreak of this song, please read this) Maybe it's my bias towards Beel. Maybe it's because it's rock. But this one, overall, is my favourite.

Belphegor / Dreamscape:

I love the almost lo-fi sound to it! It's perfect cause a lot of people use lo-fi to sleep. Very clever producers. Very clever. I both hate and love his voice at the same time and I DON'T KNOW WHY! Like it has a bit of a filtered sound to it, but what genuine sound I can hear through that filter is really really nice and I love it. I TAKE IT ALL BACK HIS VOICE IN THE CHORUS 😭😭😭 HE HAS MY FAVOURITE VOICE OF THE BROTHERS BY FAR! OH MY GOD IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!

Lyrics: GAAAAAHHHHH!!!! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! OKAY OKAY OKAY!!! So! These lyrics are so great because it's showing that soft side of Belphie that I adore! It's not his teasing side, it's the side that only Beel and MC really get to see and I just- I love it.

The whole "I will always wait for you" for some reason made me think of when he was stuck in the attic where literally the only thing he had to look forward to was MC coming to set him free and update him on how Beel was doing. And then afterward, he had to wait for them to be comfortable around him again because he knew that he messed up and he had to wait for their forgiveness. And then finally, Belphie has to wait for them to notice his feelings, amongst the obvious more showy feelings of his brothers and to hopefully maybe choose him 😭😭😭 SO GOOD

Second verse is his insecurities and I just ao;dusg;bfjnaduoh;szvbjxaui;dvkjx AAAAAAHHHHHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN PUT IN TO WORDS!! WHY DO I LOVE THIS?!?!

Sorry if asked before but whom are the himbos of GBF?

ahah you're fine no worries!

The ones we've been discussing and called himbos lovingly are the Lowain Bros, ie, Lowain and his bros, Tomoi and Elsam

as we say, they don't count as beefy so it's a part of the definition people would deny about them. But they are the himboest himbos of the game.

They talk like dudebros surfers going on trying to squeeze as many slangs and memes in their sentences. I genuinely end up laughing at every single one of their sentences. They share a braincell together, for the better and for the worst. They tend to end up encouraging each other in the dumbest situations possible because they'll just, develop on the dumb thing someone else said and it tends to escalate.

They have a few events in granblue focusing, specifically, on them making up completely wild fantasy stories in their mind where for exemple they have to defeat a robot version of Vira in order to defeat her so that they could befriend her eventually (since Vira wants Lowain dead, personally).

But they are extra respectful of everyone they meet, and especially women. Lowain is head over knees for Katalina so you can be sure he'll always be waxing poetry about her, but there's also a few story showing their major respect for women, or that one free quest where they mentor and protect Lyria into becoming a "bro-ette", or even in this event, how when they thought someone stole Lamretta's food from their kitchen and they beat themselves down for "failing a lady and making her cry" while it was not in their control.

They joined to be the chefs of the crew, so we basically count on them for the cooking of the whole crew. They always give their whole and it's their pride and duty to be caring for people like this. The Kitchen is their kingdom.

They are, also, major softies, and they are quite emotionally intelligent, in the sense that they can catch on how someone may be feeling and they will spend all of their energy trying to cheer them up. but since they also never alter their language at all this comes up with things like "i feel your vibes bro-ette :(" and it's fun and cute and i would die for them

And they fight alongside each other at all time and their finish attack is a pyramid attack where Tomoi and Elsam grab Lowain on their shoulders and they attack their enemies like this.

they have a character song too and it's one of the most fun music from granblue imo. it fills me with joy anytime.

They also appear in the fighting game (which is notable because they're the only characters that only have R/SR in the game) in which it's established that the fights they do are fantasies they make up on the spot, which makes them OP because they just summon a goddess in their fighting style, and if they lose the enemy will praise them in a way that can be uncaracteristic because that's how the bros remember it. but, my favorite bit is that if you can use any of the rooster characters's voices to pick a character to fight with, which will generally just be a character calling the selected character's name. but if you use Beelzebub's voice, an all mighty antagonist with a god complex, he will call everyone (minus MC) on the rooster "Ants." Except the Lowain bros. That will have him go "Idiots." When you're so dumb that even a God Complex dude have to dissociate you from the rest of the ants because you're idiocy is above anything else.

now, if you want people who respect all three of the himbo trinity, i'm sure i can think of a few in game.

But i think we would all agree that the Lowain bros are the stupidest, most endearing and respectful morons you would have ever met. And just for that, they deserve to be called himbos. Please.

Obey Me! Characters as Major Arcana

And no, none of them are the Devil. Trust me, I tried.

Basically, I was just drawing some parallels between the upright and reverse meanings of the Major Arcana and how our boys developed through the story, and I decided to word-vomit it onto my blog.

Lucifer - Justice

The Justice card is all about decisions, which is a big deal in Lucifer’s character arc. Decisions usually fall on the Eldest, after all. Reversed, Justice represents dishonesty and...well, injustice. He lied to his brothers about Belphegor, keeping him locked away for no apparent reason until the end of the story. He seems cruel and sadistic. 

Upright, Justice implicates that a decision must be made. No matter what Lucifer chose, someone was going to hate him. There was no right answer, but there still had to be an answer.

Mammon - The Fool

I mean, come on.

Jokes aside, the Fool is the beginning of the Major Arcana. The meaning honestly doesn’t change much between upright and reversed, which I feel fits Mammon pretty well. The main difference is that the reverse fool is more reckless and less aware of the consequences of his actions, which...yeah, sounds about right.

Mammon is MC’s First. First friend, first pact, first a lot of things. So it makes sense for him to be the first in the Arcana.

Leviathan - The Star

Ha-ha, you all thought I was going to make him The Hermit.

Actually, so did I, but something just didn’t seem right with the actual meaning behind the card. Although the word hermit sounds derogatory, in terms of tarot it actually means self-reflection and meditation. Which, let’s be real, a master at, Levi is not.

The Star, however, deals with how one sees the world around them. Reversed, it means you are insecure and expect everyone to hate you before they even open their mouths. Which, hi Levi. 

But, after MC gains his trust and becomes his Real Friend (tm) you can see him open up, if only just a little bit. Maybe they aren’t so bad, for a normie.

Satan - The Hierophant

The main theme of the Hierophant card is tradition and seeking knowledge, so this one was pretty cut and dry. The others refer to Satan as Mr. Perfect, the “traditional” bookworm. But it was the reverse meaning that really sealed the deal for me.

Reversed, the Hierophant represents non-conformity and rebellion. First of all, the dude is literally an enragement child. His existence is a rebellion. He is every bit the surly, stubborn “fuck you, dad” teenager. 

Satan is more of a “two sides of the same coin” comparison than going from reversed to upright, but I still think it’s an apt comparison.

Asmodeus - The Lovers

I’ll say it again: I mean, come on. Asmo would totally fuck himself.

This is the same type of comparison as Satan, since, honestly, the growth Asmo’s doing isn’t character development. *wink wonk*

On the reverse side, the Lovers is all about one-sidedness. Consider Asmo is literally introduced as “the narcissistic fifth-born,” I don’t think I need to elaborate much further.

But! Upright, the Lovers represents yin and yang, give and take, duality. I personally headcanon Asmo as genderfluid, he just gives off that vibe. But even if you don’t agree with me, Asmo knows how to balance out both the physical and emotional aspects of love and lust.

Basically, he switch as fuck.

Beelzebub - Temperance

Another balance card, but it deals more with mediation and patience. We all know my boy Beel is the most level-headed of all of the brothers. He’s been shown to actively try to stop fights (ignoring the custard battle) and genuinely just wants everyone to be happy. (Yes I cope with my emotions through Beelzebub I’m not sorry)

Reversed, Temperance deals with excess - one could say gluttony. I rest my case.

Belphegor - Death

NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU’RE THINKING

Death, despite being heart-attack-inducing when it shows up in a reading, doesn’t mean you’re about to get shanked. Usually. It deals more with the end of one thing and the beginning of another. Reversed, it means being unable to let go and move on.

Belphie refuses to let go of his resentment for humanity. Even if the human who he blamed for Lilith’s death is long dead, he can’t move on. It takes meeting a human and literally killing them to change his mind. But he does. He closes the book on the story of their sister’s death and opens the next, where he can begin to repair the damage.

BONUS

Diavolo - The Emperor

I’m going to be real, the Emperor is often called the father of the Arcana. I was stoned out of my mind and could NOT stop giggling about the image of  Diavolo being a total dad in a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts and sunblock on his nose, dragging the brothers on a ‘family vacation.’

Well other than in this song Aladdin mentions stealing, it also mentions how people basically hate him. Mammon gets called many names and often gets chased because he steals things. Though just like Aladdin he can out run them easily.

Asmo

Asmo very clearly loves himself a lot and takes care of himself. So I figured this song could fit him. Obviously that’s not all he is but it is a major part of his character.

Satan

Satan give me Prince Adams vibes a lot of the time. I feel like he was a little shocked that Mc wasn’t really scared of him.

I feel like Leviathan would love to have his own little world exactly how he would want it.

Beelzebub

I feel like this would be Beel talking to Belphie after Lilith died. Beel is definitely the nicest of the two and is more out there than Belphie, but they are always together.

I feel like Belphie is always making you plans to get what he wants and to get things done, even if he himself doesn’t have to do anything.

I feel like Diavolo hides how he feels most of the time. He acts like a whole man child sometimes and I really think he just wants to be the closest to normal as possible. He knows what’s expected of him but he wants to be treated like a person not just a prince.

Once again @poetic----nonsense has tagged me in post with some lovely art by @whiteleyfoster asking for a full AU, so once again I am on the case, now that I’ve had a chance to actually go watch the movie in question -- The Mummy (1999). And having seen it, holy cow do Rick and Evie give off major Crowley and Aziraphale vibes. But I’ll get back to those two toward the end. First let’s look at the other characters in this AU.

The ancient Egyptian characters I think we’ll just leave as is. There are a number of reasons for this, but short version is these characters don’t really function in the story as characters for the most part; they more serve the plot and setting. Even Imhotep doesn’t have much in the way of character (which isn’t a criticism. If anything giving him a lot of character would probably drag the story down),

Moving on to “the Americans” as a collective they can by the demons with the central four that opened the box as Beelzebub, Hastur, Ligur, and Dagon. I like the idea that their greed in opening this box is (part of) what caused the whole catastrophic event. Also there’s that Rick is an American like them and it even seems like he maybe knew them previously, but he is distinctly separate from their group; it parallels well with Crowley and the other demons. Since Beni starts as a part of their group (once the plot proper gets started anyway), he’s a demon as well, even if he does end up betraying the group. Specifically he’s the Disposable Demon -- I just feel like they have the same energy.

The order that is charged with preventing anyone from waking Imhotep is the angels. They’re a group that is trying to stop evil, but are pretty merciless in how they go about it -- see total willingness to slaughter anyone who goes to  Hamunaptra without showing any sort of remorse. The guy who runs the library and talks down to Evie is Gabriel and the guy with the face tattos would be Michael.

Our last two minor characters, Winston -- the guy with the airplane -- is Shadwell. As for the guy who hangs Rick the character does kind of vibe as Sandalphon to me, but that contradicts the angels all being part of that other group. I don’t know, his character is still up for grabs.

Moving on to our main trio, we have Jonathan, Evie’s brother. This was a hard one because there’s not really a Good Omens character that exactly fits here, so I have two options. The one I like somewhat less is Newt. He does still have that sort of can’t get anything right vibe, but you’d have to lean more into him being hapless as opposed to a dramatic drunk. Ultimately I don’t love using Newt, especially in such a prominent role, without also having Anathema. The other option, and hear me out, is Warlock. Warlock definitely works well with the end of the movie vibe of here’s our little family of three with the couple and their other family member, just now he’s a brother rather than a child. Obviously Warlock isn’t a dramatic drunk either, but you could instead rework it so his whole bit is extreme apathy.

Okay, now circling back to Evie and Rick. As hinted, Aziraphale would be Evie -- there’s the love of books, the proper British manners, and if anyone is getting tied up here it’s definitely Aziraphale. Then Crowley as Rick, who is reckless, is the one protecting/saving their love interest from danger, and who steals things and shyly presents them as a gift like oh, no big deal, just saw it and thought maybe you might be able to use it. Also we have the moment when shit’s starting to get real where Evie/Aziraphale wants to stay and try to stop it while Rick/Crowley is ready to cut and run.

The one thing I was asking myself as I watch was would it be feasible to have Evie’s character be a man. How important is her gender to the character and her role in the plot? Ultimately, while you would need to do a little tweaking and reworking, I do think Evie’s character could work as a man. But I I had a better idea: wives! Instead of male!Evie, let’s make Rick’s character a woman. I want lesbians in my The Mummy AU

Flora: I do have little (big) crush on Lord Satan. But don't tell him that! It's a secret okay!?! I'd be so embarrassed if he found out, plus he probably doesn't see me romantically and he only sees me as friend and I don't want to ruin that friendship. And to add on to that he obviously has a crush on Mc.....

Leo: As much as I'd like to say yes I'm always busy looking after *the master and not to mention cleaning up some of the messes he makes. But Mc is pretty cute and I'd like to spend more time with them. Perhaps I might crush on them in the future. But don't tell the master I told you that, he'll have a freak out.

*the master is what Leo calls Mammon.

15. Can you name 5 personality traits they have?

Flora is a really outgoing and friendly person. She is very passionate about her work. She's a very warm person but she is also big cry baby and doesn't like talking about her emotions with others.

Leo is a very laid back and chill guy. He doesn't really care what others think. He's straightforward when comes to a lot of things and likes to finish tasks he gets as soon as possible. He's good at listening to other and loves giving people advice. He can be easily annoyed be some things but otherwise you really have to try to make him angry at you. He's also very compassionate when it come to people he cares about.

16. How did they become a character?

Ash: I just kinda made them both up because I was bored.

17. Do they get along with others?

Flora: I do my best to get along with everyone! My best friends are Lord Satan, Leo, Lord Beelzebub and Barbatos.

Ash: You do get along with everyone and everyone doesn't have any problems with you. But didn't you tell me you find Solomon kinda creepy?

Flora: Oh.... Well.... um...... its not that he is a bad person, he's really kind but he's always asking to make a pact with me and he just kinda radiates this shady vibe, I'm not sure if I can trust him. And also I'm not exactly sure how I feel about Lord Lucifer. I respect him of course, but after hearing Lord Satan complain about him so many times, he kinda sounds like a huge jerk. But once again I don't know him all that well so I shouldn't make any assumptions.

Leo: I have a lot of friends since I know a lot of people. The Master is one of my best friends of course, although he can be a major pain in my side I still love that little gremlin. Bowl cut (Leviathan) and I get along pretty well, he'll invite to play video games with him and he'll invite me out to eat with him. And don't worry, he doesn't doesn't get offended by that nickname, he calls me Mullet. I also get along pretty well with Lord Diavolo. I used to be one of his bodyguards before I got assigned as the Master's right hand man. For people I don't like...... I hate that jerkface Lucifer. I can probably name a thousand reasons why but I won't get into that right now. Now I don't hate Lord Asmodeus but he kinda scares me. Every time I'm in tha same room as him he latches himself onto my arm and asks me if I want to have some "fun" with him. I don't understand how someone can be that horny all the time and not to mention that fact that I know he isn't going to back down anytime soon. But he still is a great person to party with.

In this essay, I will explain why Beel deserves 100 kisses, but also why every other character (except Lucifer) also deserves 100 kisses. Instead, Lucifer will get 100 hugs because he scares me and I do not wish to kiss him.

Beelzebub’s character really started to grow on me after he busted down an entire wall just because I ate his custard. But you know what? It was worth it. Not only do I love ice cream and other frozen treats, just like Beel, I also love himbos who can chuck my 5′ 2 ass across the room but won’t because they are too sweet. To apologize to him, I would make him two dozen cupcakes and write his name on all of them in icing. Beel is also very big and I am very small, thus he would give the best hugs even and I would literally disappear in his gigantic arms. Major plus. Pls give me warm hugs. For these reasons, Beel gets 100 Kisses. 

NEXT. Mammon. Mammon is a moron. But lucky for him, I am moronsexual. In this essay, I refer to myself not as myself but as the idealized version of myself that has 0% of the anxiety that I have. And I will happily carry that anxiety if it means this pretend version of myself can have enough confidence to stop Mammon from doing even one of his dumbass plans. But even this idealized, less anxious, more confidence version of myself quakes before the chaos of The Great Mammon. But please let me play with your hair sir. It looks soft. And it makes you soft. My favorite things. You also get 100 kisses, Mammon. 

LEVI! Levi reminds me of my friend who did NOT do a very good job. It’s called projecting. Please give me a gamer boyfriend. I WILL demand attention and crawl in your lap. Try and stop me pussy, the second I kiss kim we all know he could not stop me. Period. I wanna write him little letters telling him how much I love him and how worth it he is. In conclusion, all the characters are my favorites and I want to gives love and affection to them all becuase they deserve it.
