while the reason behind the matching bracelets in my last drawing was literally just me going "hey, chibi satoru's hands would look soo cute with a bracelet" → gives him a bracelet → "oh! what if sukuna had a matching one" → yay matching bracelets :D

i was later thinking about what purpose the bracelets could serve, and landed on: they're a physical binding vow.

essentially, in order to contain sukuna and prevent him from wreaking havoc (as they don't know what to do with him and try to think of ways to deal with him), they have him make a binding vow with satoru in which his powers get sealed/he can't kill/whatever (idk i haven't really decided on a specific thing, it depends on the situation.) in this, sukuna and satoru are unable to use their cursed techniques on each other so gojo can't keep him away with limitless, but at the same time, sukuna can't do any lasting or significant harm to satoru

and this vow is represented physically through the bracelets, (which they can't take off). so basically it's something akin to marriage rings, as it binds them both together :D

Funny things I found out playing with language setting in Netflix while looking episode 15:

Chilchuck's scream sounds HAUNTED in brazilian portuguese. Give it a try if you can.

In spanish dub, Senshi says: "tocó mis senos de hombre", which means "he touched my man boobs" in Spanish. And I think that's the best dub line one so far.
