Consent = F.R.I.E.S.🍟

Consent! What is it and what does it look like? There are many aspects to giving consent, it's not just about saying "yes", so why not use the acronym 'FRIES' to remind yourself of all the things to consider when giving or asking for consent.

F - Consent is Freely given: you should never pressure, coerce or force someone into saying yes to something, this is not consent. You must respect when someone says no. You should feel confident and happy when you consent to any activity with your partner(s).

R - Consent is reversible: it is okay to consent to something and then change your mind, if you're not comfortable, say so and ask to stop. If your partner changes their mind on something you should respect their choice, and if they are willing, have a conversation about their decision.

I - Consent is informed: you should know what exactly you are consenting to and your partner(s) should too. It's good to discuss specifics beforehand and what you're both comfortable with.

E - Consent is enthusiastic: when someone is giving consent consider their tone and body language. Do they sound happy, upbeat and are they being proactive? Or do they sound hesitant, reluctant or closed-off?

S - Consent is specific: when someone says yes to one activity, it does not mean they consent to other activities. If someone has consented to something in the past, it does not mean that they have consented to doing that activity again in the future, you need renewed consent.

I know the decision to have Julian's parents have him augmented was made on the fly but imo its pretty obvious from early on that Julian has Family Issues because he avoids talking about his family like the plague and I think they should've incorporated this into the Julian and Sisko dynamic right from early on because I think it would've made for some really compelling stories and moments and could've set up a REALLY interesting Julian and Jake dynamic which they kinda started to do but never fully went for

Oml!! According to one of ur posts you go to galas sometimes? Ur so lucky!!! How do you get invited??

Lots of modern galas/fancy events are pay to play, i.e. buy a ticket, make a donation, etc. if you serve on a board or volunteer for an organization, you also often get tickets. For political events, it’s more about networking. For big fundraisers, it’s easy to get your foot in the door as someone else’s plus one, or there are sometimes scholarships (not kidding, financial support exists for the more expensive events). I’ve been invited to a lot of events purely because I already have a few black tie outfits, I’m decent arm candy for a variety of conversations, and I can be ready quickly.

They aren’t as fun as people might think. Sometimes they can be, but usually it’s 200-300 people in black tie crammed into a hotel ballroom trying to figure out if the bar has more than one kind of vodka without actually going over there. Because that means running into people, which means talking to people. And if I’ve learned anything from those events, being seen by several people is the goal; after that, you can leave and do whatever the hell you want. Including taking off your heels…

Idk much about El Rich, but I heard from someone that he doesn't like that much about competition with teams (?) or something like that, so that's why he's not in the event like dedsafio. But he's still a tryhard

At first I'm afraid of El Rich and Farfa about they opinions about Dream, well since farfadream stuff happens I feels so much relief and that's remain El Rich. BUT I didn't expect El Rich invite Dream to play a game (?) and then El Rich praises Dream like?? That's one of the biggest good day of my life

I think El Rich return the favor (?) or both of them already planning behind the scenes thing? Because after this El Rich is in Dream video about live translation, wearing George skin and joking about colorblind like what??? Omg??! El Rich who doesn't like event in teams and rarely in others content video (?) but join in Dream video???

Once again I said it that I don't really know about El Rich that much but what he is doing is so wholesome to me

Maybe I'm parasocial or something but imagine El Rich is like Grian, (don't get me wrong, I love Grian, he's so amazing) that you don't know about his opinion about your fav cc, of course you want it to be positive but feeling intimated at the same times

And then squidcraft 3 happen, El Rich praises Sapnap too, like you know??? He even tell Farfa to help him call Sapnap and Shadoune so four of them can have a talk, about how proud El Rich is to Sapnap, how good he learns spanish that's make him remember about Shadoune first learning spanish years ago and declare that Sapnap is Shadoune 2

was trying to figure out why I feel so Wrong rn and I think it's because I didn't follow my usual daily routine like At All and now my brain is freaking out. woke up at a vastly different time, had entirely different tasks throughout the day, took a nap at a weird time (to make up for the fact I had about 3 hours of sleep last night), zero human contact for the past 15 hours, and ate different food from usual (various leftovers from social events/thanksgiving, instead of cooking for myself like normal). and before I really realized that these were all things that were Bad For My Brain I was just wandering around my house like "why do I feel like garbage?? I've literally been outside so much today my brain should be happy"

ANYWAY here's to me not remembering I have issues with unstructured living because my days have been so similar for the past 4ish years that I straight up Forgot that things being too different too fast makes me crazy ✌️

a guy with nothing on his blog called charlessomethingsomething just followed me and only me, sent me a series of messages saying he had been reading my posts for a while and wanted to talk to me etc that didn't SOUND like bot writing but who knows (average DM of this type from an actual human man does not pass the Turing test), so I asked him which came first, ranch or cool ranch, and he's completely vanished. presumably he either blocked me or deleted or was a bot that got reported to death. but 1. I have never gotten a spam bot message me ever (except the past week possibly but different post) and 2. I think(?) a bot would have replied with some GPT nonsense right away instead of letting a question sit in their inbox for hours so I think it was probably a real person who couldn't take the heat.

anyway whether Charles was a bot or not, it got me thinking because I've had more interactions with men like this than any other kind. you have GOT to work on your game if a little 2010s meme nonsense completely derails your attack. I'm not a valid DM-slide target because I'm not on here for dick, myself, but like if I WAS, you're not going to get anywhere just bailing out the first time someone says something silly to you. (sitting backwards in my chair and slapping the back of my hand into the palm of my other hand) listen to me. flirting works on community improv theater rules. you have to be ready to take that pass from left field and run with it. and if I WERE on here for dick I would disqualify applicants who couldn't keep up with clowning.
