I started taking my medication again yaaaaaaay.

I've been feeling so out of control. My ocd has seeped into my interests and now even going on the internet is hard. 

I think going cold turkey for so long was not the smartest idea.

Hopefully now things will start to change! (new years resolutions gonna be taking my god damn medication like jesus fuck)

Family Constellations! ✨

Families! They come in all different shapes and sizes- there are so many configurations and that's great!

This was a piece I collaborated on with Split Banana back in 2022 - they're an organisation that provides RSHE workshops and training (which I have also done with them!) and they're fantastic! Please check them out if you're interested in getting into teaching inclusive RSHE as they have some excellent learning and teaching materials.

PSA for testosterone users! - Check you're not allergic!

Calling all trans men and people taking injectable testosterone for hormone replacement therapy! Could you be allergic to the testosterone formula you are taking? There is a small percentage of people who are are allergic to some of the carrier oils used in this injectable formula, and the symptoms of an allergic reaction can range from mild to severe so please familiarise yourselves with them and let your GP or doctor know all of the symptoms and side effect you are experiencing!

If you are allergic, do not worry! You can be prescribed a different brand of testosterone with a different carrier oil! So no worries of stopping your HRT journey.

As your body goes through a number of changes from HRT, some side effects and changes might seem normal but could actually be a sign of an allergic reaction or another underlying health condition like a blood clot, so please speak to your doctor ASAP if you are experiencing any of these symptoms and look after yourself 💗

Disability Pride Month!

It's July so that means it's Disability Pride Month! So hears a little explanation into the disability pride flag and the green sunflower lanyards - you may have seen them around these past few years!

As a relationships and sexual health education blog, I believe the world of sex education should be accessible, inclusive and accommodating to everyone, but often, disabled people are left out of educational experiences due to misinformation and ableist beliefs.

I try my best to be inclusive in both my information and illustrations but if there is something I've missed or another way you think I could improve my resources please let me know as I'm always open to constructive criticism!

As an artist, I love seeing all the colourful pride flag designs, learning about each colour's meaning and discovering new flags being created! Pride month has got me thinking about the history of the pride flag and how it came about so hears a little summary of the pride flag and how we got to the designs we use today!

Are there any pride flags you love or would like to know about? I'm tempted to do some mini explanations of them in future posts but not sure where to start.

Pride Month Spotlight! 🏳‍🌈💖🎬 - Tv Series

Some more LGBTQIA+ media for you! There are so many great shows out there, here's a few to get you started if you're looking for some queer focused content! I'm currently rewatching Killing Eve but I'm also keen to watch the Interview with a Vampire series as I recently finished the first book.

Pride Month Spotlight! 🏳‍🌈💖🎮 - Games

Next in the spotlight series is games! I tried to include a variety of games from dating sims to puzzle games, challenging platformers to wholesome stories, these games have it all! Along with fully customisable characters like in Baldur's Gate 3; diverse characters and poignant, queer focused story lines like A Normal Lost Phone, and LGBTQIA+ game developers too like Celeste and A Mortician's Tale, there's something for everyone!

I recently played Unpacking and it was a great balance of story telling, and relaxing puzzle solving with fun surprise achievements!

Pride is a protest and education is and integral tool to fighting injustice and bigotry and that's why I make these resources. We need LGBTQ+ inclusive sex-ed resources because everyone deserves comprehensive and supportive RSE. And we need progressive resources, because when we learn, we grow, we understand and we accept. There are so many incredible resources, organisations and individuals out there also advocating, creating and teaching LGBTQ+ inclusive sex-ed all year round, they're my heroes 💖

Consent = F.R.I.E.S.🍟

Consent! What is it and what does it look like? There are many aspects to giving consent, it's not just about saying "yes", so why not use the acronym 'FRIES' to remind yourself of all the things to consider when giving or asking for consent.

F - Consent is Freely given: you should never pressure, coerce or force someone into saying yes to something, this is not consent. You must respect when someone says no. You should feel confident and happy when you consent to any activity with your partner(s).

R - Consent is reversible: it is okay to consent to something and then change your mind, if you're not comfortable, say so and ask to stop. If your partner changes their mind on something you should respect their choice, and if they are willing, have a conversation about their decision.

I - Consent is informed: you should know what exactly you are consenting to and your partner(s) should too. It's good to discuss specifics beforehand and what you're both comfortable with.

E - Consent is enthusiastic: when someone is giving consent consider their tone and body language. Do they sound happy, upbeat and are they being proactive? Or do they sound hesitant, reluctant or closed-off?

S - Consent is specific: when someone says yes to one activity, it does not mean they consent to other activities. If someone has consented to something in the past, it does not mean that they have consented to doing that activity again in the future, you need renewed consent.

Gender Neutral Pronouns Guide!

Gender neutral pronouns! I've been thinking about these a lot recently and so I wanted to make a quick guide on what neo pronouns are! Whilst singular 'they' has been around for ages, neo pronouns are a new edition to the English language and can seem daunting when you don't know how to use them, but they're really quite simple. I would definitely check out @minus18youth pronouns app - which teaches you how to use and pronounce neo pronouns! I think this is a fantastic resource! ✨

💚 Please note: The neo pronoun sets listed are just some of the more popular sets, but there are other new and emerging sets, and it's not just the English language, other languages already have or are generating neo and neutral pronouns too!

There are many reasons why a person may use certain pronouns, but no one owes you this explanation so be respectful of each person's decision. Asking, learning and respecting people's pronouns or changing of pronouns is a simple but great way to support the LGBTQ+ community 😁
