Ohh, this is a neat little thing! I've only just stumbled across it, and I had a couple of questions if that's alright:
1) How exactly does it work?
2) What's the interview process?
Again, super cool thing you're doing here, I look forward to seeing who you interview ^-^
Thanks for asking!
Q. How exactly does it work?
A. Let's Talk Whump is a series of interviews with whump bloggers aimed at spotlighting the amazing writers here in this community. The interviewees are either nominated or I reach out to them. Anyone is welcome to nominate a whump blog, simply send me a DM.
Q. What's the interview process?
You answer a series of questions talking about your experience and love for whump and it's community and I publish the resulting interview here. At the moment the questions are standardised but there's a possibility of customising them in the future. After I receive the answer, I edit and format and then work with the interviewee to ensure they're happy with the results. Once they are, the interview is published!
I hope this helps. Have a whump-derful day!

i like to think that this was claudia both cursing lestat and just her being a scared daughter looking to her father for comfort while in agony in a room full of people who cheered on as she burned.
on one hand i think this is her passing her own judgment on him, forcing him to face the consequences of his actions, of what he put her through. i do think she believed his version in the end (if her questioning louis and then changing her wording to "even if it is true" is anything to go by) but of course she does not forgive him. she cant. his explainations arent an excuse. none of it justifies what he did to her specifically, and both of them know it. i think its also why lestat doesnt even try to apologize to her.
and on the other hand, at this point madeleine was already dead, louis had been taken away and no one in the coven had any love or sympathy for her. lestat was all she had left, and he was the one who made her. we keep being told over and over how strong the vampire bond is in regards to louis and lestat but lestat made claudia too. he's watching his own blood die and he feels it, and she knows it, and knows that bond, that shared pain is the last shred of love she will ever feel.

Job Interview Techniques
Finding a desirable career has become a difficult undertaking in our fast-paced world. The likelihood of being hired by reputable firms is becoming increasingly challenging due to the competition. Every corporate enterprise conducts 2–3 rounds of interviews for new candidates.
As a new employee, preparing for a job interview is already a difficult process because, no matter how prepared you are, you are still scared. To lessen this unease and anxiety, we'll give you some incredible tactics that will definitely work for you in accomplishing your goals.
Eight Interviewing Strategies That Work
If you're here, you probably need to be more relaxed about your interview. While it is true that giving factual answers is a crucial component of interviews, there is also the added pressure of making a good first impression. Your ability to please people through your talent, appearance, self-assurance, and speech style also matters. Thus, don't be hesitant about your forthcoming interview and simply adhere to the advice that is provided below to help you succeed.
Search about the company.
One of the finest interview ideas is to learn everything about the firm to which you wish to apply. Find out the company's fundamental information, such as its founding date, its owner, the types of products it sells, and its goals. Having this knowledge can give you more self-assurance during the interview. Also, research the company's website, social media posts, and most recent press releases to better grasp its objectives.
Watch interview videos on YouTube.
Without question, YouTube has a wide selection of videos. To get a sense of the types of questions an interviewer will ask you, look at some of the top interview question videos there. You may learn how to answer your interviewer and the entire interview process by watching this type of video. In addition, you can get an idea of the variety of questions that can be asked during your hiring process.

Prepare yourself for commonly asked questions.
Several common questions are usually asked by organizations. Some of them are:
What are your biggest flaws?
What made you decide to work for our business?
Why should we hire you?
What are your best qualities?
Why did you leave your prior position?
What would your previous boss say about you?
Describe a challenge you faced and how you handled it.
So, it is preferable to prepare these types of questions in advance to present a positive image to your interviewer. Confidently responding to these questions can show that your background qualifies you for the position.
Be on time.
Another useful technique during your interview is being on time. It's crucial to arrive at your interview early. This demonstrates your dependability and lessens the burden on both you and the interviewer.
It's a good idea to show up around 15 minutes early for your scheduled interview. You will have enough time to use the restroom, assess your appearance, and complete any paperwork that is required.
Inquire about the interview structure.
Learn about the varied interviewing procedures used by each company. Some will pose mind-teasers, case studies, or standard interview inquiries. Most will have specific questions concerning the job, and you might have to come up with an answer or finish a regular assignment. To properly prepare, find out what to expect from human resources management.
Make a list of references.
Just before or after the interview, your interviewers might request a list of references from you. It demonstrates your readiness and organization if you have a list of references ready to provide during the interview.
Use study24hr.com, an online education platform that strives to link students and teachers in a conducive learning environment, for help with your academic needs. The website is amazing and has received praise from thousands of students. You can effortlessly connect to it if you're looking for a powerful eLearning platform. Also, study24hr.com gives students access to a variety of study resources, such as practice exams, motivational videos, academic notes, daily boosters, etc.
Bring examples of your previous work with you.
The employer will probably inquire about the particular job you have done that is pertinent to the position during the interview. After reading the job description, think back on the projects you've completed for past employers, charities, or organizations to demonstrate your knowledge and success in the role. If you can, present a portfolio of examples.
Ask questions
Most interviews will allow you to ask questions at the conclusion. This is your chance to learn more about the organization and the role and to demonstrate your genuine interest in the opening. Many people make the error of ignoring this chance and replying, "No, I think that's all," when asked if they've got any queries. So, don’t miss this chance and ask questions about the next steps in the process or anything that you want to ask regarding your job.
Follow guidelines when interviewing.
Here are some effective guidelines that you can follow after preparing for your interview. These tips can make you successful in your desired position.
Regard each person you meet.
Create a good first impression.
Prepare your interview attire the night before.
Be confident and positive.
Be authentic.
Be sincere in your responses.
Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes earlier than expected.
Positively discuss your previous employers.
Be succinct and precise in your responses.
Connect your responses to your achievements and abilities.
The Final Review
We sincerely hope that you find the job interview strategies listed above helpful. You can succeed in your interview if you adhere to these tactics. Make sure you research the business and its objectives so you can present a favorable impression to your employer.
In addition, as the interview is coming to a close, thank the interviewer for their time and indicate your interest in the job. This is an excellent chance to reaffirm your qualifications for the position and make a positive impression on the interviewer. Always keep in mind that during the interview process, confidence is crucial. Just be yourself, maintain your confidence, and don't forget to ask questions.

The Psychology Of Interviewing
Delving into the intricate world of interviewing psychology unveils a tapestry of nuanced interactions that shape the hiring landscape. From the rapid judgments formed in the initial seconds to the subtle influence of cultural norms, understanding these psychological dynamics is paramount for both interviewers and candidates. In this exploration, we navigate through seminal research, shedding light on the significance of first impressions, unconscious biases, nonverbal cues, and the delicate balance between structured and unstructured interviews.
The Complex Dynamics between Interviewers and Interviewees:
1. First Impressions Matter: Research by Ambady and Rosenthal (1993) shows that interviewers form initial impressions of candidates within the first few seconds of meeting them. This ‘thin-slicing’ of information can significantly impact the interview outcome.
2. Unconscious Bias: A study by Bertrand and Mullainathan (2004) revealed that resumes with names typically associated with ethnic minorities received fewer callbacks than those with ‘white-sounding’ names. This highlights the presence of unconscious bias in the hiring process.
3. Nonverbal Communication: Mehrabian’s (1971) research emphasized the importance of nonverbal communication, suggesting that only 7% of a message’s meaning comes from the words spoken, while 55% is attributed to body language and 38% to tone of voice.
4. The Stress Interview: Baumeister et al. (2003) conducted a study on stress interviews, where interviewers purposefully create stressful situations. The research showed that high-stress interviews can lead to poor candidate performance, emphasizing the need for fair and constructive interview practices.
5. Cultural Differences: Research by Matsumoto (2006) demonstrates how cultural norms can influence interview behavior. Understanding these differences is crucial for cross-cultural interviews to ensure fairness and effectiveness.
6. Confirmation Bias: Snyder and Swann (1978) found that interviewers often seek information that confirms their initial impressions, leading to confirmation bias. This can result in overlooking critical information about candidates.
7. Structured vs. Unstructured Interviews: Studies by McDaniel et al. (1994) and Huffcutt and Arthur (1994) have highlighted the advantages of structured interviews over unstructured ones. Structured interviews, with predetermined questions and scoring criteria, tend to be more reliable and valid.
8. Post-Interview Decision Making: Research by Highhouse and Gillespie (2009) explored how interviewers make decisions after interviews. They found that interviewers often rely on their intuitive judgments rather than following a structured evaluation process.
Wrapping Up:
Understanding the psychology of interviewing can help organizations develop fairer and more effective interview processes. It also underscores the importance of training interviewers to mitigate biases and make informed decisions. These studies provide a glimpse into the complex interplay of psychological factors that influence the interview process.
Ace your interview with these insightful tips, and check out the next blog on our website Imperfect. It’s a guide to navigating interviews with confidence and making the hiring process fairer for everyone.

Good question
Here's the thing, with most my interviews I didn't know their corporate layout. Position wise of course.
Alright, thinking back in college as an intern who was offered a job over the phone along with my acceptance it was a bit to take in. That's until after a couple weeks in the bookstore when I heard there was an opening in IT.
Once I saw the IT manager down the hall, I straight up asked for the position. Not bad, he asked me where I wanted to be in a few years and I said: Graduate and Network Security engineer. They didn't look convinced, my lamest line was that I built good usable computers from bits from yard sales and shows.
Setting up networks was a meh one since I had only worked on test LANs I created. Trapping viruses to report and recode was a dangerous hobby. Took a whole lot of time too.
You can't tell the future, yet keep aiming for your goal and looking for other ways in. Being social helps. Remember to be kind with your contacts. It can be surprising.
After college, I called a kindergarten classmate of mine for a lead. Know what? They had it and it was in my field. 🥂

pathologic 3 announcement made me return to the classic game and finally play it properly! i think my favorite part of the bachelor's route is when he talks to maria kaina (or whoever's in her body at the time) and they explain that their planned Utopia isn’t even supposed to be a 'perfect' place but instead 'the mystical manifestation of a world inscrutable and inaccessible to men' going back to the original meaning of the word irl and instead of despairing Daniil fervently agrees that this kind of unimaginable leap is worth it, no matter where it actually leads
#pathologic#the bachelor#daniil dankovsky#andrey stamatin#peter stamatin#maria kaina#nina kaina#recent interview with dybowski made me kind of apprehensive#because i love the idea of an emotional state as a fundamental game mechanic for the bachelor but#he was very focused on the idea of following the 'teacher' in Simon and in the process learning everything he was meant to learn#despite never really 'catching' the dead guy in his time loops#i feel that the head of the studio is just projecting again#and in a way that old version of the bachelor made back when he was a student in his twenties#could end up seeming more compelling in the end#but we'll SEE#i am still wildly hopeful and hype#my artwork#ALSO anybody who likes the bachelor and reads those rambling tags#you should totally check out blank monk by chekhov#its short
