Shadow and Veil-Chapter Nine

Summary: Eva Moore’s life was a carefully constructed fiction. Every day, she did exactly what her mother in law, her husband, and his best friend expected of her. No mistakes. And, that was going pretty well for Eva right up until a huge complication literally tried to run her over. Now, she’s faced with trying to keep the pieces of her life from falling apart while attempting (and failing) to keep her feelings for her husband’s new business partner at bay.

A/N: This fic is a sister-fic to A Need So Great and A Need Unleashed. You do not need to have read ANSG or ANU to read this fic, but there are Easter eggs from those fics in Shadow and Veil for readers with keen eyes. This fic is explicit for canon-compliant blood, gore, violence, and sex. As such, it is intended for an adult audience, only. A/B/O dynamics come with their own warning. Eva rummaged through the kitchen pantry, pulling out anything that even remotely looked like a snack and throwing it over her shoulder to land on the island. Having dug around on every shelf and in every drawer, she stood before the mountain of chips, pretzels, cookies, and candy with her brows drawn together.

“This is about as good as its going to get,” she said to herself.

In the cabinet storage beneath the island were all of her platters, bowls, and serving utensils. She tugged a long serving board from the bunch along with several of the less valuable bowls. Quickly, she plated the snacks in what she hoped was an appetizing spread, making little adjustments as she went. Then, she picked up the board by its handles and carefully walked around the corner and down the hall to The Lounge.

Crossing the threshold, Eva took four steps into the room and waited to be acknowledged. The band was sprawled out around the room—the drummer was standing next to the bar talking to Mr. Jimenez, the bass and guitar player were looking at Josh’s (rarely used) stereo, and the singer was sitting on the sofa opposite Eva talking with Josh.

She shifted on her feet, looking to catch her husband’s attention. He was preoccupied with a rather effusively gesticulated story being told by the blonde next to him and it didn’t look like he would notice her any time soon. Her arms were starting to hurt from holding the heavy tray. She didn’t want to drop it, but she also didn’t know if she would be allowed to set it down without Josh’s approval.

Thankfully, the drummer, a man with hair that reached his mid-back, glanced in her direction and hurried to assist.

“Let me take that,” he offered, already halfway to relieving her of the tray.

“Thank you.”

“No,” he replied with a wide smile, “thank you. This looks awesome.”

She returned his smile, “Its no problem, really.”

“You didn’t have to do this,” then, to the room, “Hey! We got grub!”

Conversations stalled as the group dug in. Eva stood near the bar and folded her hands in front of her as she watched them pick out handfuls of what they wanted. There were nods of approval all around, which she tried not to feel too proud about.

The singer spotted her and called out to Eva around a mouthful of marshmallows, “Come sit with us.”

Eva glanced at Josh and, not seeing any censure in his expression, perched beside the blonde on the sofa. She was a beta, smelled like flowers.

“I’m Lizzy.”

“Eva.”

“Josh’s wife, right?”

Eva nodded.

“Thanks for letting us hang out,” Lizzy said, “Your house is huge.”

Startled by the frank assessment, Eva could not keep herself from a nervous laugh, “Thank you.”

“Our place is kind of a shit hole, but its home, you know?”

The drummer made a sound of disapproval, “That shit hole is a nice place, man.”

Lizzy was unconvinced, “There’s rats, Gene.”

“There’s rats everywhere, Lizzy.”

Eva leaned a bit towards Lizzy, “I can confirm that. Rats can get in almost anywhere.”

She learned that lesson the hard way. One of her first hidden stashes of money got eaten up by the little creatures when she didn’t wrap it carefully enough. Now, every bit of her money was stowed away in metal boxes.

“Alright, alright,” Lizzy conceded, “Its not that bad.” She held up a finger, “But, this place is really nice. Josh told me he was a doctor. You must be head honcho somewhere, right?”

Eva hesitated before saying, “I’m the accountant for the family’s pharmaceutical company.”

Lizzy’s eyes widened, “That’s a big deal, right?” Not waiting for Eva’s response, she turned to Josh, “She’s a big deal.”

Her husband was all smiles, “Eva is pivotal to the finances of the company.”

Across the coffee table, Mr. Jimenez had taken a spot next to the drummer. He rested his weight on the arm of the sofa, observing silently. Eva could not meet his gaze, not after what he’d said at dinner. She was too afraid that she would reveal something in any small, shared look. It was a mistake Eva couldn’t afford to make with Josh so close.

“So, you pay her the big bucks,” Lizzy said with a tease in her voice.

Eva brushed her hand over her brow to conceal the wince. Josh didn’t pay her anything. At least, he didn’t pay her anything that could be considered a salary. She got a weekly allowance that covered the occasional wardrobe update and gas for the car Josh let her drive. Everything else was put on the company card where it could be tracked.

“I don’t pay her nearly enough for all the benefits I get. She handles all the boring paperwork so I don’t have to.”

Lizzy case Eva a sly smile, “I bet she’s good at it.”

“The best,” Josh said. He was no longer smiling and there was a tension around his eyes. Eva began a desperate mental search for a way to change the subject.

“Careful,” Mr. Jimenez cut in, “You keep singing her praises and I might be forced to have Eva come work for me.”

She nearly dropped her face into her hand. Did he have to antagonize her husband?

Eyes narrow, Josh’s voice was firm, “She’d have to want to work for you first.”

Mr. Jimenez was undeterred, “Kidnapping, then.”

What the fuck are you doing? Eva thought, hysterical. Having dinner with them, complimenting her, being nice to her, these were all excusable in light of their business partnership. But this was almost a threat—no, this was blatant threat. Open. Honest. Clear as day.

It was some kind of miracle that none of Josh’s new friends seemed to notice the rise in tension between the two men.

Certainly not Lizzy, who asked, “Are you also in the pharmaceutical business?”

Mr. Jimenez shook his head, “I’m in shipping and transportation. But, Dr. Moore and I are working on a project together.”

Lizzy made a soft ‘oh’ of intrigue, “What kind of project?”

“The boring kind,” Josh answered with an air of finality, “Eva, we haven’t offered our guests any drinks.”

That was her cue to become invisible. The conversation had revolved around her enough and it was time for Josh to re-take the spotlight. She stood and walked behind the bar to mix a large batch of cocktails. In her absence, Josh led the group towards another topic. The band, apparently called Stag Nation. Like, stagnation as in standing still, but two words, as the drummer explained. They were working on their first album. According to Lizzy, the studio guy was a real creep, but Jim (the guitarist) set him straight after he made a pass a Lizzy.

Rather than pour individual glasses, Eva stirred up a pitcher full. She set it and enough glasses for everyone on yet another tray and carried it over to the coffee table. As the drinks were poured, the bass player mentioned the stereo sitting along the back wall near the sliding glass doors.

“You don’t have that many albums,” he said, “for such a nice set up.”

“Ah, man,” Lizzy groaned, “Leave him alone.” Then, to Josh, “Marcus is an audiophile. Half his room is records.”

Marcus was almost convincingly offended, “Those are classics.”

“Most of them don’t even play. They’re literally falling apart.”

“That’s because they are classics!”

This went on for a while as the cocktail in the pitcher was slowly drained. Eva got up and made another. The topic still hadn’t changed by the time she returned with the second round, much to the annoyance of everyone but Marcus and Lizzy.

Gene leaned forward and dug around in his back pocket, “If y’all are gonna keep this shit up, I’m gonna need a joint just to listen to it.” He produced a baggie of what was clearly pot and held it up, “You good if we smoke in here, brother?”

Eva looked at Josh with raised brows. He was no stranger to pot, often smoked with Alexei on their nights out—which Myra could absolutely never find out. But, these were strangers, not his best friend.

“As long as you’ll share,” Josh replied.

Apparently, he didn’t care. Eva hid her surprise by taking a drink from her glass. Quick, effective hands rolled the joint and Gene lit it with Jim’s lighter. Puff. Puff. Pass. Around the circle it went. When it got to Eva, she demurred.

Lizzy poked her arm, “C’mon, its not gonna kill you.”

Josh laughed, “It might not kill her, but Eva’s a real bitch when she smokes. Isn’t that right, Eva?”

It was true. Sort of. Eva didn’t mind the high so much, but it made her less careful. Her words, her facial expression, all revealed what she actually thought and felt. She was a bitch when she smoked because she smoked around Josh and Josh always made her feel like a bitch.

“Its better for everyone if I don’t,” Eva said with a tight smile.

Lizzy shrugged and the joint kept going around—until Mr. Jimenez, too, refused. He had work in the morning and needed a clear head. Eva assessed him for sincerity, then looked down at the coffee table where his half empty glass sat. Had he refilled it even once? How many drinks did he have with dinner?

Mr. Jimenez caught her looking and he cocked his head to the side in question. Was she going to call him out? Eva held his stare for a moment, then looked away. She didn’t have the courage.

When the joint was nothing more than a tiny roach, Marcus got up and started up an album. Frank Sinatra crooned through the speakers. Jim razzed Marcus for picking such an old record, but Marcus just said that it was one of his dad’s favorites.

“At least he still talks to his dad,” Lizzy said as she picked up another handful of marshmallows, “I haven’t even seen mine since last Christmas. He’s convinced I’m singing the devil’s music.”

Eva sympathized with Lizzy. Her parents were equally strict about the kind of music she listened to growing up, “Maybe he’ll get used to it.”

Shaking her head, Lizzy began putting the marshmallows onto the tips of pretzels like tiny skewers, “Nah. He kicked me out when I was sixteen. I only go back to see mama. You got family around here?”

Eva flinched, then worked to correct herself. There was no way Lizzy could know the minefield she’d just stepped out into.

Josh, his eyes drooping, laughed, “She hasn’t had family for a couple years, now.”

Lizzy’s mouth opened in confusion as she looked between Eva and Josh. It was clear that she sensed that there was something being said between the lines and that she was looking to walk back the conversation to a safer topic.

Eva took pity on her, “They died in a plane crash.”

Looking over Lizzy’s shoulder, Eva silently asked Josh to leave it alone. They had guests and they didn’t need to know all the dirty secrets of her marriage. Josh’s mouth thinned and he grabbed his glass to drain it.

“I’m so sorry,” Lizzy breathed.

“Its fine,” Eva replied, “It happened a long time ago.” Then, because she needed to get as much distance as she could, “That pitcher’s almost empty. Let me get y’all another.”

Grabbing up the pitcher, Eva stood and put the bar between herself and the rest of the people in the room. Her hands were shaking as she measured out liquor, mixer, and ice. As she worked, Eva viciously swallowed down the need to cry from grief, from guilt. By the time she poured the drink into the pitcher, Eva was almost as numb as she needed to be in order to get through the rest of the night.

Sinatra’s voice faded away, replaced by CCR.

Eva looked up to find Mr. Jimenez approaching the bar, glass in hand. He set it on the bar and leaned on a forearm beside it. There was a softness in his eyes that unsettled her as much as it made her want to press her cheek to his.

“Did you not like the drink?” Eva asked, needing to talk about something completely innocuous.

“Its a little sweet for me.”

She nodded, reflexively reaching over and grabbing a decanter, “Try this. Its got more fire in it, less sweetness.”

He watched her pour, caught the glass as she slid it across the bar at him, and drank. Eva replaced the decanter as she waited for his verdict.

“Better,” he pronounced.

Eva let herself smile in pleasure. She was about to give him the name of the liquor when an excited squeal took the attention of the entire room.

“You guys have a pool!” Lizzy turned and grinned at Josh, “We gotta go swimming. Right now!”

Another excited yell and the sliding door was pulled open so that Lizzy could run out into the back yard towards the in ground pool. Eva looked at Josh, who was already moving around the sofa. He was smiling, which was good. Her shoulders dropped and she released a slow breath.

“Looks like its time to take this outside,” Eva said as she rounded the bar, pitcher in hand.

Mr. Jimenez watched her the whole way, waiting for her to pass him before he followed. Eva felt the weight of his eyes as she cleared the sliding door. An unwilling smile crossed her lips as she watched their guests disrobe and cast their clothes aside, some of them balancing awkwardly on one leg. At the far end of the pool, near the ladder, Josh was shrugging out of his slacks.

“Eva! Come swim with us!”

She shook her head at Lizzy, “Its too cold for me tonight.”

It was not too cold. Though the summer was near its end, the water would still be warm enough to swim for a few more weeks. Eva set the pitcher down near the edge of the pool and moved to sit on one of the lounge chairs. She gathered her skirt around her legs and folded them beneath her.

Movement to her right. Mr. Jimenez sat on the chair next to her.

“You’re not going for a swim?”

“No,” he replied, eyes on the water, “There’s no place to hang my suit. It would wrinkle.”

“God forbid,” she murmured beneath her breath.

“You aren’t swimming.”

Eva rolled her eyes, “There’s no place to hang my dress.”

He laughed and the hair on her arms stood on end. The sound of it made her stomach flip in her belly, made it difficult to breathe. She swallowed hard and focused on Jim who was doing a front flip into the water. A round of rallying cries went up all around, which made her chuckle.

From this distance, they were just a group a friends having a good time—drinking, laughing, getting high. If Eva didn’t let herself look too closely, she could almost believe that this was a normal night in a normal house.

But, only if she didn’t look too close.

And so, Eva looked at the sky.

“I’m sorry to hear about your parents.”

Eva sighed. If she had a dollar for every time that was said to her she wouldn’t have to steal from her husband. She let the silence hang, tugging back the barb on her tongue. It wasn’t his fault. People often felt compelled to acknowledge her grief.

“It happened a long time ago.”

“Years?”

She hummed in confirmation, hoping that the starlight would dry the tears that threatened.

“My mother once told me that grief has no expiration date, that you can’t put it on a schedule. She said grief was how we knew we loved.”

Eva turned to look at him, her face a mask of confusion. How could he say something like that so casually? Mr. Jimenez—Diego—was just…sitting there. Drink in hand. Legs outstretched. On a fucking lounge chair.

“Thank you,” she croaked, meaning it.

“You’re welcome,” he replied, meaning it.

A loud shriek drew her attention to the pool. Josh was lifting Lizzy and throwing her into the water while her band mates cheered him on. Gene dove in after her, waves rippling outwards. Jim, in vengeance for Lizzy, used both arms to slosh water at Josh. New friends playing old childhood games.

“I need a drink,” Eva announced, slapping both hands on her thighs.

She rose and skirted the edge of the pool, hustling towards the house. Inside, she headed for the bar and grabbed a decanter from it, pouring a healthy amount and taking a long pull from the glass. This night wasn’t going at all like it was supposed to. Eva didn’t, exactly, know how it was supposed to go, but it definitely wasn’t this.

From outside, she heard Diego call out to Josh, asking where the bathroom was, followed by Josh’s muffled reply. Eva refilled her glass and capped the decanter, setting it back in its place. Her first step toward the door was more of a stumble, Diego’s body blocking her intended path.

“Its through there,” she pointed towards the hallway, “first door on your right.”

He nodded wordlessly, his eyes focused on her. Eva stood still as he moved forward. His steps were slow enough to give her time to make a decision about what she was going to do, how she was going to react. Even that extended courtesy wasn’t enough.

Eva held onto her roiling emotions by the skin of her teeth. She was unable to move, to think. All she could do was breathe—which only made things worse. Her nose was filled with his scent. It invaded every synapse of her brain, loosening the muscles of her shoulders and neck until she felt as pliable as taffy.

Diego lifted a hand a ran the back of his fingers down the open neckline of her dress. His wrist turned so that he could press his palm over her stomach. The weight of it grounded her against the burn of hormones that rejoiced in the touch. Eva was reduced down to her omega core as it recognized the alpha before her.

Encouraged, Diego stepped closer, the hand on her stomach smoothing around to her side. He leaned down, nose brushing her jaw, and inhaled. The exhale was not much more than a low groan, but it was enough to startle Eva out of her stupor.

“You have to let me go,” she whispered, checking that no one had noticed their absence.

He shook his head, free hand taking her other hip and pulling her closer. She wanted to be closer, wanted to know what it felt like to be pressed against him. Only long held fear and self-preservation could overrule her body.

Palm on his chest, Eva dipped her chin to catch his gaze, “Diego. Let me go.”

The use of his name seemed to bring him back to the present. He blinked rapidly, then stepped back and around her, walking steadily towards the hall. Eva drew in a cleansing breath and forced herself to walk in the opposite direction.

Outside, she took a sharp right and ducked under the raised terrace. Setting her drink down on the concrete, Eva opened a storage box and pulled out several pool noodles and tossed them into the pool.

“So you don’t drown,” she explained with a smile. “I’m going to bed.”

Lizzy pulled one of the noodles down around her hips and sat on it, “Good night! Thanks for letting us come over!”

Eva waved at her, “No problem.”

Bending down, she picked up her glass and walked back inside. She grabbed the tray of half eaten snacks and dumped most of them in kitchen trash can. After setting the bowls in the sink to be cleaned up the next morning, Eva turned off the light. She crossed the hall, one hand on the banister, when the bathroom door opened.

Diego stopped, one foot in the hall, and stared at her. Eva took the moment to memorize his face, the openness of his expression, before she gave a small nod and ascended the staircase. He watched her until she cleared the landing and turned down the upstairs hallway.

In the safety of her room, Eva closed the door and leaned against it. This was getting out of hand. She didn’t know why Diego was inserting himself into her life—no, she knew. Eva knew.

Every omega knew the stories of finding an alpha that was so compatible that staying away was impossible. It started with cartoon princesses and white knights, moved on to angst ridden teen movies, and finally evolved into R-rated thrillers that came out every Fall.

Eva never placed much stock in those kinds of stories, though she heard local gossip now and again about a pair of lovers bonding within weeks of meeting. It never occurred to her to want such a thing or to think it would ever happen to her.

And, here she was, knee deep in it.

“I hate this so much,” she said to the empty room.

It was sort of true. Mostly, it was a lie.

Eva closed her eyes as she remembered the heat of his hands on her. Her nerves still trembled in the places where they touched. She wished she had the courage to kiss him, to take what he so clearly wanted to give her.

She couldn’t let that happen.

She couldn’t.

If Eva kissed him, she knew there would be no turning back. Her whole world would be shattered into bits, revealing a whole new existence where he sat at the center. She wouldn’t be able to hide it from Josh, certainly not from the ever perceptive Alexei. Eva would be caught red handed and there would be no escaping the consequences. Not for her. Not for him.

They would never survive.

Review: "Dune: Part Two"

Yesterday afternoon I went to see "Dune: Part Two" directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides,, Zendaya as Chani a Fremen who helps teach Paul and also becomes his lover, Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica, Paul's mother, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, a Fremen warrior and believer in Paul, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Christopher Walken as the Emperor, and numerous others. This picks up from Dune: Part One, and prepares us for "Dune: Part Three", supposedly to be released sometime in the future. For the most part this has received good reviews but some thought it wasn't really that interesting or this or that didn't make sense (yeah, the sword and knife fighting in an advanced civilization does seems a little, um, odd), I like Christopher Walken as an actor but I'm not sure that he fits the role of Emperor 100% of the time in the film.

I liked the movie. I was quite entertained by the battle scenes, the scenes highlighting the religion and the faithful, the sandworms, the interaction between Paul and Chani, the cinematography, the music and soundtrack in general even though the IMAX sound system did seem a bit overbearing and floor shaking at times. and just the general feel of the movie. It has been a really long time ago that I read Dune so I couldn't tell you one way or another how closely it followed the book, or didn't follow the book. I liked the story as presented in the film however close or distant it was from the book.

I had a good time watching it. A classic film for the ages? Well, maybe not. Will I purchase the physical media and watch it again at home? Yeah.

-Didn’t see live, but was in the vicinity or interacted-

I was at a record signing for the Pretenders at Licorice Pizza at La Cumbre Mall in Santa Barbara and met the band when I was 10 months old or so. I don’t remember it, but Chrissie said I was going to be a drummer. I guess I was banging on the table.

Should have been at the Where The Streets Have No Name video shoot, but U2 started early thanks to the LAPD and I missed it by an hour. People were still hanging out at the corner in downtown LA when I got there. Eventually got around to seeing U2.

I had an email exchange with Brian Kehew of The Moog Cookbook sometime around 1999.

I camped at the next campsite over from Gyl Bonus, guitar player for The B Foundation. I haven’t seen them live, but I hear it’s a great show.

I had a ticket to see Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes with Fu Manchu in Irvine in 2000, but Jimmy cancelled the tour. Technically, I have seen both bands, so this should not be in this section.

Was invited to the recording of the live section of the “Enemies” EP by Frank Jordan, but I had to work my shift at Kmart. I should have gone.

A friend offered to give me his ticket and could have made it to the last half of a Pearl Jam concert in Irvine, but was too lazy. I should have gone.

Back to Santa Barbara, Bob Marley & the Wailers played a concert and I was in the same city at the same time but I was 3 months old or some shit. I wish I could have gone and been capable of enjoying it.

I was in close proximity to Johnny Halliday and his wife when they arrived at LAX a few years ago. Johnny was known as the “French Elvis”. There was a good amount of paparazzi, so I may be in the background of a picture in a French tabloid.

Met the band Spacetrucker at the Sky Valley sign on their tour which included Stoned and Dusted the next day. They gave me a free copy of their first album and the whole experience was amazing and magical.

Have been the presence of Dandy Brown, Jesika Von Rabbit and Lee Joseph in Palm Springs, and Arthur Seay at the Sky Valley sign.

I am friends with the drummer of Overwhelming Colorfast, of which Weezer once opened for, and who opened for The Ramones.

I am considered family by extremely close family friends of which one was the drummer for Out Vile Jelly and Idaho, and also made some great songs under the name twodoggarage.

summary: Luca spends the day with Danny at a bbq. there is lemonade involved lol

notes: first off, really proud of this title. no it's not about a lemonade stand but the prompts are just meant for insperation so i'm not to worried about it. also i've decided i just wanna do fluff cause i never get any ideas with angst. anyways, enjoy!

Luca pulls up too the twins house where the BBQ is being held. To be frank, they are decently anxious about this. They've met the rest of the band and Danny's other friends of course but this is there first time going to a large affair with him, and their pre-existing social anxiety doesn't help. They sigh and get their thoughts together before putting on their noise cancelling headphones and heading into the open door.

As they walk in, they are immediately taken-a-back by the sounds and smells of food. As they wander down the hall and into the main space of the house, they spot Danny yelling at Josh over something that appears to be a casserole? "Who on god's good earth puts RAISINS IN A CASSEROLE, JOSH!?" Danny shouts, loud enough for Luca to hear when they get close to the two. "MY MOTHER, YOU ASSHOLE!" Josh rebuttals before stomping off. These kinds of arguments with no real beef to them are quite common.

Danny turns around, sighing, but when he notices Luca he beams and hugs them. Luca has always loved Danny's hugs the best. His arms are so strong and he's much taller than they are. And on top of that, he's like a human heat radiator, so that's a plus. They can smell his shampoo and cologne, and for a second it's like all those other people aren't there. The hug lasts for an amount of time that feels to short for Luca, and Danny pulls away.

"When did you get hear, bug? You didn't hear that whole... debockle, did you?" Danny asks with a bit of wearyness in his voice, knowing Luca has never been a fan of confrentation. "You mean you insulting Karen's casserole recipe?" Luca asks back, trying not to laugh at how seriously Danny is taking this. "I'm sorry but that's really fucking gross. In no universe should mayo and raisins go together. Like, i'm white but not THAT white" Danny says.

Luca laughs a bit and the two make their way outside to where all the food is and stuff. Luca get's in line to get some food and sees a glass pitcher of lemonade. They immediately recognize it as Danny's. It's always homemade and he puts a tone of stuff in there. Like lime slices and a bit of rose water. It's obviously amazing, like everything else Danny has ever made, so they pour themself a glass and move on in line.

Eventually they find Danny along with the rest of the band and their significant others sitting around a bench. When Danny sees they have returned from their food adventure, he scootches in his seat to make room for them and pats the empty spot. They happily sit down beside him and he immediately puts his arm around them. "I mean, it is kinda gross" Jake says before taking a bite of chicken. Josh scoffs "A mothers dish insulted by her own son?!" Josh proclaims.

"Still on the casserole talk?" Luca asks and Danny gives a pained nod in response. Sam and Vivi are in their whole own conversation and Zeke and Leo look like they're in various stages of falling asleep or plotting murder, Whichever will get them out of this argument sooner. Luca giggles as they watch this interaction take place and they enjoy their food. After a little while Josh and Jake get up to play a couple songs. As Danny is watching the two, Luca catches themself staring at him.

He has such soft hair and a strong jawline. They want to kiss every one of his freckles. When he feels their eyes on him, he looks down and blushes a little. He's used to it. Staring at him is one of their favorite hobbies. But it never stops him from feeling flustered. They smile and he pecks them gently. There's a lot they have that Dan enjoys to admire as well. Like how fluffy their short hair is or their sun kissed dark skin. When they realize they have been staring at each other for the past 2 minutes, they look away sheepishly.

As Danny is walking them back to their car, the sky is a light pink fading into a light yellow as the sun slowly sets. People are starting to head out and Dan is planning on leaving soon too after he's helped clean up. He takes Luca's hand to help them into their car, and kisses it when their inside which makes Luca's face feels like it's on fire. He's always such a gentleman, no matter what.

"Suprisingly, i really had fun" they say awkwardly. "Yeah the twins really know how to throw a party, huh" Danny replies. neither of them are really sure how to end the interaction. "Okay well bye" Luca says, 10x more awkwardly then before. "b-bye. I love you" Danny responds. "Love you too" Luca responds with a slightly less awkward smile, and they drive off.

MIW history

Hello I want to make a history and facts post of MIW. I been a fan for a few months so I may miss some stuff out. New fans can check this out to understand more of the band.

Personality: in most of Ricky vlogs vinny seem extroverted he is loud around friends and has lots of fun being silly. But in reality there is a side to him that isn't easy to see you can see it in his twitch stream. He's actually really introverted he said this himself. He's calming and sweet he interact with fans a lot and making sure fans respect each other. He loves to be alone in his room for many days avoiding human contact. Vinny mention being too shy to go up to new people but he is fine if people go up to him. He doesn't feel comfortable talking to new people. He likes being alone.

Personality: Justin is a kind chill person who cares for his fans and his friends. He left ice nine kills to right away help MIW on tour. Justin is also a troll he loves trolling his friends.

Interest: videos games but not a nerd like the others,bass,cosplaying,putting makeup on.

Motionless in white history:

The band started in high school of 2005

Chris,Angelo,Frank p,Kyle white being the first members of the band. Later after college and the bands demo releases Josh joined the band. Frank moved to bass. Micheal and TJ join as guitarist. Later on micheal left the band and Chris met Ryan. Ryan then joined as guitarist of the band. Chris met Ricky in 2009. Frank left the band and Ricky was the new bassist for MIW.

MIW got more popular in 2009 when they tour around the state's in a van. Tj left the band a year later to join escape the fate (Ronnie radke of falling in reverse old band and bless the fall singer Craig band) Ricky then became the new rythmn guitarist of the band. Ghost (Devin) join as the bass player of the band. During the infamous album creation Angelo was feeling ill he couldn't play drums well anymore he gets tired easily and his drum skills wasn't good at all he was eating bad that it make him weak. He couldn't drum anymore so he left the band. The band had other drummers help record their albums. Brandon was the touring drummer for the band till the end of the reincarnated album. The band met vinny and he became the new drummer he was in the reincarnated music video playing drums but you can't see him much in the music video. Vinny then became a member of MIW not a tour drummer anymore but a actually member of MIW. Josh left the band around this time. In the graveyard shift era after the making of the album the whole band kicked ghost out of the band because the fans told the band what ghost did to fans which was very gross. The band kicked him out and Justin from ice nine kills join the band as bassist then he quit ice nine kills to be working full time for MIW. Disguise is the first album where the whole current members of the band created songs without other people doing it for them.

Chris history from high school to now:

Chris grew up in Pennsylvania. He met his friends who end up being the band members of the band he wanted to create he wasn't expecting to be the main singer. At a young age Chris started getting tattoos everywhere.

Chris cared about the band and just went for it.

Demos of the band was created. Chris is a perfectionist he wants the album to be perfect so he was judging everything in order to make a album he liked. Band members left but he didn't quit the band he try to find new band members and try to meet new bands. He worked hard for the band he carry the whole band and make sure the band was doing well. Chris thanks Ryan and Ricky for being the most loyal band members staying with him all these years and not leaving him. Chris had the fear of failing the band breaking up and Chris dreams crushing down but Chris didn't let that happen at all. And here we are today.

Ryan Sitkowski college to now:

Ryan dropped out of college to join MIW at age 17. He was new to the band and Josh didn't like him at all. Ryan was at a young age traveling all over the state with the band. Ryan haven't shared much of his life on the internet he kept it more private. Ryan got a girlfriend and then when the lockdown happen he started streaming on twitch to interact with fans and made a discord too.

Ricky Olson high school to now:

Ricky is the oldest of his siblings. When Ricky was young he was playing with his friends sports and something hit his tooth so half of Ricky teeth is fake. He mention he cry to his mom on the phone because of it. Ricky in middle school wanted to be in a band because his friends played instruments and he wanted to join them. Ricky in high school was a shy boy who had a few friends but they were mostly fake friends. Ricky Olson begin to play guitar and write stories because of the inspiration of Ville Valo from HIM. He became obsessed with HIM. Ricky was in a band in high school as the lead singer but was kicked out for sounding like Ville valo. One of Ricky dreams was to be in a band and also a film maker. In college he study film production. While also working in band merch booth selling band merch to people. But since Ricky was too shy he got yelled at for not speaking up and selling more. Ricky was in a bad time around 2008 and 2009. He share this in a blog years ago about this. He was in a lost place had a bad past and he was thinking of the past all the time and future worrying about failing the future he wanted to be in a band but he was so lost he had no idea what to do in his life. He would day dream about being in a band and then cry to sleep every night about his life. He had depression and gave up with everything in his life. He drank achoul every day. One day on his sister 16 birthday Ricky was drunk coming home from work to go to his parents house his sister was sleeping in her bed.

Tw// self harm and suicide attempt:

Ricky was laying in his sister's bed he cut his arm with a knife it was a lot Ricky was sobbing while watching the blood going down his arm to the floor his dad saw what happen and ask Ricky what happen. Ricky was sobbing and yelling he wanted to die many times. He passed out and went to the hospital he lost a lot of blood and the achoul level was really high he drank way too much. He almost died. He end up getting better and went to see a therapist. He went to see MIW with a friend. Ricky met Chris and the band thought Ricky was cool so he invited them to stay at his house. Chris text Ricky being like should join our band. Ricky would often say idk if I should he didn't know if he would be good enough for the band.

He later on join and quit college but Ricky mention still feeling depressed while in the band. Josh ballaz disliked Ricky when he joined too. 2 years later Ricky moved to rythmn guitarist but he wasn't used to playing guitar since he mostly did bass so he often made mistakes on guitar. He was still learning to play guitar. Things got better for Ricky. But his dream job was always filming he does some film stuff on tour and at home. Though he knew he probably won't be a film maker for movies like he dream of doing he makes whatever he can make. Ricky has stomach problems he often went to the doctor because of it.

Vinny Mauro childhood to now:

Vinny is one of the youngest children of his family. He has many siblings. Vinny mention on stream that he had a bad past. He mention that his dad would take achoul all the time and not give a fuck about vinny. Vinny mom would always go after Vinny. Vinny as a kid was a trouble maker he would disobey his parents and think it was funny. His mom would throw stuff at him and threaten him. His dad gave him a drum set so vinny end up learning to play drums he self taught himself to play drums. He listen to music and got into new types of music he likes all types of music. In middle school a girl that he liked asked him if he can play paramore on drums and vinny played it for her.

In high school vinny was a outcast and loner he made friends in his neighborhood but at school he had no friend. He didn't fit in with anyone. He mention in Ricky Olson podcast his high school life. Ricky ask him how he didn't find friends in high school. Vinny mention saying he didn't fit in with anyone he is also a shy person so he doesn't go up to new people. He was more a loner and was fine with it. Vinny went to uni to study computer programming but he didn't like it at all he was often bored he posted videos of him drumming on his YouTube channel. He knew a guy who knew MIW. MIW was looking for a drummer and they asked vinny to try out for drums in another country which was Australia. Vinny dropped out of college and told his parents what he was doing they weren't happy about that but he end up going over there trying out drums but he was very nervous. He met the band and then went to start drumming. Chris and Ricky were in the same room as vinny they were watching him play drums. Chris being very judgemental. He often scares Ricky when he's on guitar and Ricky fear to make a single mistake in front of Chris and vinny felt that fear. He even said I think I mess up a few times on drums. After he finish drumming. Ricky and Chris went to talk said not a single word and vinny was sweating so much thinking he made a mistake and he won't be part of the band. Later on Chris made vinny part of the band. Vinny became the tour member of the band then he became a member of MIW.

Years later vinny decided to interact more with fans since he had time to so he livestreams on twitch and has discord to interact with fans.

The lock down happen and vinny spend time interacting with fans. He lives with his friend in a house together. But something about vinny these few years mostly months to now that was starting to show. Vinny was suddenly showing signs of depression he often tweet depressing stuff but each year got worst for him. 2020 was the start of vinny's down fall. He had so much self hate he hated his hair,his body,his looks everything about himself he hate. He even tweeted saying I'm sad so I'm going to make a song. He release alone. Even he tweeted about something sad saying 2020 was a bad start for him and Ricky ask if he was ok and hoping vinny was just joking around. During December vinny had back pains because of a sneeze that hurt his nerves so vinny was in so much pain and he didn't see a doctor he thought he could fight it himself just taking pain meds to him. In Jan of 2021 the start of vinny down hill. He was in so much pain he couldn't leave his room or chair he couldn't even drum. He was very depressed. He hated life so much. A month later he got better and went back to streaming but still he was struggling there was some bad stuff happening anyway with him. The covid shot made him sick Saying he didnt eat anything for 4 days he felt like throwing up he even woke up in the middle of the night thinking he was going to do it and other stuff that made him depressed. Around April of this year small amount of fans notice something was going on with vinny he mention so much self hate about himself. In May he mention he was fine but a week later he said he was depressed and talking about what happen months ago and years ago. Sharing something about his family past and he stopped himself saying he doesn't want to get too into it. Vinny mention that he was eating food once a day because he felt like he is fat for over eating food all the time so he end up just eating dinner only everyday. He done it since the beginning of March and still is doing it. He wanted to loss weight. So he doesn't want breakfast and lunch but he eats dinner.

Around may vinny was in rock bottom he talk to no one at all even Ryan was 30 mins away from vinny and he ask him why he didn't go to see him and vinny said he didn't know why. Vinny mention saying he talked to no one for a week straight he also mention he isn't the kind of person to go up to people he said he's very introverted. he stopped streaming for weeks because he was doing bad. He said he felt burnt out and tired.

He took his break off social media for many weeks. Around this time many fans notice vinny was really not doing well.

Then he return to streaming around the 18th of June. Just to say hi he said he miss his fans but he plans to stream again a few weeks later. He mention that he have been avoiding all human contact and was staying in his room playing video games and drums all day still with the once a meal thing he does. Vinny said he's not depressed but people ask him about his depressing tweets and he said is it really depressing. Someone ask him why he is listening to sad music and he said am I not allowed to enjoy music. Now more fans are worried about him. Many more fans noticing that vinny isn't ok and he's hiding it.

That's basically all of MIW history I could give.

I will update and add more to the list later when something new happens. The vinny stuff is true I been watching his streams a lot and he mention those stuff so I just wanted to share what he said. I been a MIW fan for 8 months so I may not know Ryan and Justin as much as the others. Since they don't share much about themselves.
