Hey K.O.,
i find it interesting that michael, banks, kai and will's perceiving and deciding functions are the exact same: Ne, Si, Fi, Te
michael being ISTJ, Si Te Fi Ne
banks being ESTJ, Te Si Ne Fi
kai being INFP, Fi Ne Si Te
will being ENFP, Ne Fi Te Si
similarities & difference i noticed (but i'm kinda lazy to cite): love to play with or break structures or rules, can be a good follower or leader, depending on the situation, they seem like the punctual type, the STJ seems strict while the opposite functions, NFP, can be pretty relax and chill, but both have a structure they prefer, follow and lead themselves and others. Both seem the kinds to either LOVE plans, or HATE plans, but they heavily depend on the situations. STJ more impatience than NFP, NFP looks more welcoming but in actuality both are pretty reserved with strangers. Their strength and weakness compliments each other and might be something that theyre secretly jealous of each other.
2. then there's rika who i assumed was an ESFJ, and her perceiving and deciding functions are similar to aydin's INTP, Ne Ti Fe Si
rika being ESFJ, Fe Si Ne Ti
aydin being INTP, Ti Ne Si Fe
similarities and differences: pretty open to new things, loves to banter, care about the mood of the people of their surroundings. Care more about fighting for "truths" and "freedom" than efficiency. Can be seen as "smart" because they like to be curios and engage in intellectually stimulating conversations with people. Can be really talkative when talking about things they have interest. Can be seen as liars because their truths can be seen as fake or deceiving. Idk what else to them, idc.
3. and then there's winter and alex who i typed as ISFP and ESFP, i already went through the stacks, and i feel like winter's an ISFP instead of your typing her as ESFP because of her Ni that i feel like is more utilised in her decision making than her Te. As compared to alex where Alex's Te is higher than her Ni, since she was worse at prediction than winter was. Winter's pov always have this ominous feeling of predicting something, but because it was based on facts, she did seem to lie on some occassions to justify what she thought acually happened. I don't really understand much about her character, so i hope someone would share their opinions of her here
winter being ISFP, Fi Se Ni Te
alex being ESFP, Se Fi Te Ni
4. and funnily enough my most loved and hated character have the same function stacks too 🥲
damon and emory both having Ni, Fe, Ti and Se in their stacks.
damon being ISTP, Ti Se Ni Fe
emory being INFJ, Ni Fe Ti Se
at this point, i feel like we have talked about em's mbti a lot, but what do you think of damon's? Just like winter, idk much about him because intially i thought he was INFJ, but now, i honestly dk anymore. Lmao, i mean he still have the same function stacks, but clearly he was still very different than emory. Oooo maybe thats why i was confused at first? Damon torrance fans, please come forward and share your insights! (And kai's too 🥲)
what i gather from all of this is that people who have the exact same fx stacks can understand each other pretty well, but their priorities on which stack that was more important to them will decide their final MBTI and personality type. What other similarities and differences do you see, K.O.?
Hey! Welcome back.
So right off the bat, I'll say that getting into the individual cognitive functions is way over my head. I always really struggled with that part of MBTI which is a part of the reason why I never took it farther. Another reason is that I feel when you get too deep in the weeds with MBTI, the types start to become like molds or boxes that others think dictate how a person should and will act in every occasion, which just isn't the case (not saying that this is what you've done or anything; just a reason why I can't have deep conversations on it).
Aa an example, I've always tested as an INFP, and I identify pretty well with the general profiles about INFPs. However, this paragraph that you wrote for Rika an Aydin:
2. then there's rika who i assumed was an ESFJ, and her perceiving and deciding functions are similar to aydin's INTP, Ne Ti Fe Si rika being ESFJ, Fe Si Ne Ti aydin being INTP, Ti Ne Si Fe similarities and differences: pretty open to new things, loves to banter, care about the mood of the people of their surroundings.
Everything here can be said about me. Now, I don't know if that's because the we have some similar cognitive functions or if it's just those traits are so general that they can't really be applied to more than just a few types. I also believe that everything in MBTI is on a spectrum, and nobody is 100% one thing or another, and we all have shadow functions that come into play at some point.
For the most part, I see MBTI as a way to get the general sense of the characters. It's a fun game, too, and as we have seen, very funny for discussions. But for me, that's about as far as I can take it.
I think it would be very interesting to get the takes of other people who also know about MBTI.
and then there's winter and alex who i typed as ISFP and ESFP, i already went through the stacks, and i feel like winter's an ISFP instead of your typing her as ESFP because of her Ni that i feel like is more utilised in her decision making than her Te
I really wish I did understand better so I had a better response for you! But unfortunately, like I said, it just read down the list on mbti notes and went with my gut. Briefly reviewing the functions, I see why I went with ESFP for Winter, but again, I have a very surface level of understanding and am only reading the notes to see what lines up with my impression of Winter. Inferior Ni still makes a lot of sense to me.
BUT! I'm in no way an authority and am not going to force anyone to see things my way. If ISFP makes more sense to you. Personally, after reviewing both functions, I can see it both ways and was probably on the fence. Like I said, Dom Se and Inf Ni just make a lot of sense to me.
And I never bothered to type Alex, so I'm really of not help here. Whoops.
I will clarify in case this is causing an issue in my view of the characters, but when I typed them I found myself gravitating towards the "unhealthy" or "immature" versions of the functions, and that made sense because... you know. the characters that we're dealing with are probably not the healthiest representations of their type...
that being said -
but what do you think of damon's? Just like winter, idk much about him because intially i thought he was INFJ, but now, i honestly dk anymore.
So, it would take me a minute to go back over all the functions to see if something else aligns better with Damon. It might be beneficial considering the new information we just go with the bonus chapter. But over all, "Immature" Ti still fit really well to me, although it could overlap with Te.
Dom Te - I'll bold the parts that I thought I saw in Damon through the first part of the series and especially in Kill Switch.
"Immature IxTPs suffer the negative aspects of Ti due to an overly reductive attitude, unable/unwilling to process information that doesn’t “make sense” to them, perhaps becoming blind to important factors that should be taken into consideration. They might exhibit problematic traits such as: disinterest, indifference, apathy, dismissiveness, obliviousness, small-mindedness, arrogance."
Inf Fe -
Signs of dominant Ti extremes:
emotionally unavailable
critical or antagonistic
selfish and stingy attitude
very shallow relationships
doesn’t recognize social obligations
Loss of normal and healthy dominant Ti functioning:
I feel strangely confused or can’t think straight.
I am unable to make sense of the problem(s) facing me.
I don’t know why I am doing the negative/obnoxious things I do.
Examples of out of character inferior Fe grip tendencies:
I am uncool, awkward, unconfident, “not myself”.
I can’t help feeling strangely guilty, ashamed, unsure, inadequate.
I am more inclined to seek affirmation, approval, agreement.
I can’t brush off things that I usually don’t think/care about.
I am saddened/startled by how inept I am at caring for others.
I am suddenly very bothered about feeling alienated.
I go out of my way to provoke/get attention from a particular person.
I suddenly escalate arguments or get caught up in drama.
I irrationally suspect/accuse people of trying to manipulate/control me.
Aux Se:
selfish and impulsive, does whatever one wants easily addicted to
physical/sensory stimulation tries anything just to feel “alive” and “high” evades consequences;
leaves a trail of destruction
wants immediate gratification; angry when thwarted
I highlighted all of that, so it might be where I started with Damon, because it fit cleanly with my impression of him. However, this is a general description of an underdeveloped Se.
easygoing and carefree yet grounded and pragmatic
fun-loving attitude but doesn’t seek pleasure merely out of boredom
keeps productive by committing to hands on, skill building activities
faces facts; addresses flaws/weaknesses/mistakes very honestly
observant of consequences of healthy/unhealthy gratification
And this looks more like the grown, father version of Damon we get in the epilogue/Fire Night
Brining us to Ter Ni
Because this is lower in the stack than Se, and we're looking at an unhealthy version of Damon, chronic Se underdevelopment include:
a sullen, blank, or withdrawn attitude
abnormal/repetitive desire for physical pleasure
lack of commitment; resists new experiences - Damon will do most anything as long as his friends are doing it, but he doesn't do it for the new experience and probably wouldn't part take unless the others were there;
excessively limited/literal/one-sided view of facts
unproductive; only cares about instant gratification
and
Common Ni loop tendencies / Signs of Ni loop:
can’t see that lack of will and commitment causes restlessness
disengaged; never acts to change problematic situations
drifts through life with no regard for/awareness of rules and conventions
irrationally paranoid about being trapped/confined/controlled
uses “alternative” lifestyle to immaturely express independence/individuality
believes in nonsense “mystical” signs/intuitions about how to live life
self-defeating; unable/unwilling to have faith in anything or anyone
derisive, fatalistic, only envisions (and believes in) negative/empty outcomes
There might another type that fits better, and my impression of Damon might be off. I'm really just going with my gut and best estimated guess here, but I did give my typing an honest effort and thought. I'm still very open to hearing alternatives!
I think understanding personality types can help with understanding how people gather information and communicate it. Really still fuzzy on how the position of the function effects all of that, but it sounds like you have a good lock on it. You should do character profiles! With references and stuff. I'm sure so many people would find it interesting and helpful.
Thanks for keeping on with the conversation! Looking forward to your next thoughts.
KO -
P.S. I have received your follow up message but have not had the chance to review all of the videos you found. Since you said that you mostly just wanted to share, I'm going to post it without a response. Once I have a chance to come back to it, I'll add my thoughts if I have any. Thanks!

Hi :) There's some little-known but important information about MBTI that you might want to check out: all the famous "function stacks" that tend to be taken for granted are incorrect. At best, they only refer to superficial traits that go with certain pairs of letters (“Fe” as FJ-traits, etc), not to the real functions, which are different from their widespread “definitions”. In reality, for example, ENFJs are Fe-Ne-Si-Ti, INFJs are Fi-Ni-Se-Te, etc. I have some long posts explaining this :)
This has got to be the most stupid thing I’ve read this morning. Thanks for that.
Looks like another “INFJ” got butthurt by my post and in denial again. What’s new lmao.

Hi there! I was really impressed by your Laito’s mbti post, you have such huge knowledge of the functions!!! *1 more vote for INFJ let’s goooo*
May i ask, what is your thought about Ruki? 😳 Which do you see more, INTJ or ISTJ? 🤔
Hey hii anon!
Ruki, you say...Damn, interesting, also a character I've started liking recently 🤔🤝
But still, I'm gonna talk only about MB route, because I haven't read Ruki's DF or other games, so... All my thoughts are based on MB.
INTJ => Ni Te Fi Se
ISTJ => Si Te Fi Ne
● So talking abt Ruki there's no doubt which judgemental functions he has, but with perceptive functions I have some problems...
● Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not into saying his dom function is a perceptive function, because any of N or S show kinda rarely...
● But what we actually have. From his flashbacks (pre orphanage) it's seen how low his Se is. He doesn't really fare about food and physical things, he even judges some girl for jumping in cold water to pick coins from there... He was like:" I'd never be like that, even if I'm also that pathetic." He's not interested in surviving "physically", only mentally, I guess. So Se is here, but it's low asf => +to INTJ
● Moving on. What about Si??? Well... Si operates the experience, attention to small details (again, material, aka physical) and collects such ⬆️ information. What do we have with Ruki? He often refers to past experience, when tries to say that people are liars (when Yui treated him kindly without any mercenary intentions, he didn't get it, because in his own past experience things didn't work like this, people were cruel and abandoned him.) So, he has experienced it, now he uses this knowledge, everything seems to be logical, BUT. Ruki clearly realizes that he doesn't learn on his mistakes. Yes, he gained some lessons of life in the past, but what now? He treats Yui just like those servants, calling her livestock, as if he ignores the reason why he was "punished". I mean, literally, he says :" everything what's happened to me is a punishment for my sins (aka violence aka ignorance). Is that okay, that a Si dom treats his experience as something non essential? Really? Also, he doesn't seemed to be detailed-oriented person, when he was discussing the escaping plan from the orphanage with others, he didn't really pay enough attention to things, which could have helped them escape successfully... He was only about "never stop, run as fast as you can" bla bla. That was a rather maket of a plan than a plan lmao... So, I really doubt about any Si here
● Well Te and Fi are obvious here, and since they stand on the same positions in these 2 types, I'm not gonna dig into them.
So, Ne. And here's the showtime starts. There's a small ray of hope to Ne inf, because Ruki was considering the imaginary situations "if I was born non human, I'd be free" bla bla, A LOT. As if he really regrets the missed chances, lost opportunities, which had never existed then.
If you're a Ne dom user, therefore you have Si inferior, and you about to regret something from the past, feeling smth like : "ohhh I could do it in the other way and the consequences would be different", but if you're Si dom with Ne inf, then you're gonna to see a lot of ways of solving the problem, but you'll be scared of this huge number of possibilities. It'll distract and scare you, and Ruki is just regrets about the situation, which could never happened to him but he's dreaming about it... This kinda looks like Ne inf? => + to ISTJ?
● But now I'm gonna discuss his Ni... Honestly, it doesn't shine bright as the dominant function (aux seems to beat it haha), but Ni, just like Si, can refer to past experience but be more abstract and intuitive (obviously). I won't say Ruki talks with metaphors (like Laito, for instance) or uses a lot of images, but sometimes there are small evidences of it. He calls himself "snake", also called Eve the "Goddes", referring to her abilities of creating the new race, payed attention to blue sky as a symbol of freedom and thinks in abstract ways. Like, he was talking about the necessity of being reborn, the cycle he could live again and again, as if he's circled into his own sins and can't escape, but why? He just understands it and can't explain, like its his fate and he has some missiom. Like Ni sometimes just understands the connection of events, but can't explain. I'd say he's like that. When he was a child he had already thought about those "reborn"-themed things, he was seeing the future lmao => +to INTJ
So here are results:
Si<Se (sorry Si can be mistaken for Ni)
Ni>Ne (but Ne is also kinda exists for me here)
And Te aux Fi tret are okay.
Another small conclusion INTJ>ISTJ. It looks like INTJ characters are the ones who have the actual urge to action, and ISTJ are more static, they're mostly happy about the hierarchy in which they are. That's why (but maybe it's a freaking myth just like statement that all INFPs are crybabies) INTJs are more innovative, they go against the system, because they don't like it. And Ruki wasn't happy with orphanage life, so he chose action here. Again, it looks like ISTJ are more cautious and grounded.
And another thought. Idk, for me Ruki seems to be a character with Te dom function, not the auxiliary, because I see him as a pure revenger with his main idea of take a revenge to world... But then he's gonna be ENTJ, Te Ni Se Fi , but it looks ew because of Fi inf and Se tret, his Fi is much more clear than Se, so INTJ totally wins

We can’t forget about giving these guys their own intro, types and enneagrams, now can we?
More info down below:
From top to bottom function, they get visibly less and less humanoid + the dark sclera compared to the main functions since they aren’t as developed or even expressed/made aware of as often as the first four (especially Te and Si).
In a way they’re all symbolic “opposites” to their functions’ counterparts! More of this will be detailed in their individual bullet points.
The similar color schemes and designs for Ne and Si to @cognitivedoodles’s still apply here: shadow ENTP/INTJ and ENFP/INFJ have Ne and Si in the same slot, but influenced by different auxiliary/critical and tertiary/trickster functions!
The introverted functions having a more muted palette and the extraverted functions with a more saturated palette still applies.
Introverted functions tend to have longer hair while extraverted functions have shorter hair; I’ll delve into this a little more for each relevant individual function.
Hopefully I delivered with the semi-compensated colors that represent both Fi and Te!
Opposing Ne
Ne’s design is meant to be reminiscent of a spider, since I associate opposing Ne as being “caught up/stuck in a web of possibilities”.
The intuitive functions are the only functions that don’t contrast each other through the “roles” they represent; they do it via imagery alone.
Compared to Ni’s ponytail made of converging the strands of hair, Ne gets twin tails and diverge at the end as a contrast to their way of processing patterns and information!
Another part of the design that points towards this is Ne’s multiple eyes; seeing multiple possibilities in equal weight.
The ribbon-like part of the outfit are supposed to act like extra limbs since I figured the actual extra limbs are reserved for Se. They’re also used to further hammer in the “multiple possibilities” aspect of Ne.
Ne has a bad habit of provoking Ni (re: everyone) when given the opportunity, which further serves Ni’s paranoia of needing to suppress them as much as they can.
Ne has a soft spot for Se though, given that they’re both the only manic functions around.....maybe when Ni finally slips up Ne can make her acquaintance with Se.
For all her teasing, Ne can at least respect Ni’s dedication to the user. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t harbor any hard feelings toward them though....
Critical Fi
Fi’s a ragdoll, which explains the stitches around on her body, fake blush on her cheeks, patches on her dress, and heart motif patched onto it which contrasts with Fe looking more clean and polished as a China doll with porcelain glazed skin and his heart motif as a shiny brooch of sorts separate from his body/outfit.
Also eye contrasts! Fi having buttons for eyes and basically an ‘x’ for pupils while Fe gets “actual” eyes with a pure white heart for pupils.
Not to mention hair contrasts- Fi with her long, lush, and thick hair that touches every inch of her body while Fe has shoulder-length hair and neat bangs.
Fi contrasts Fe’s role as a doting and sociable parent by being the silent and critical parent; she could give Si a run for his money when it comes to who’s the least talkative, given that she generally only speaks when spoken to.
In that same vein, Fi actually more often than not calls out Fe on his bullshit when she gets the opportunity and sees it, much to Fe’s chagrin. But there are also other times where Fi’s the only function to notice and recognize what Fe actually misses when reading others. and himself
Trickster Te
Te’s an automaton, hence the shiny body! (Based on many Te dom characters I love lmao) Also his “glasses” are actually just a visual provided by the screen, they’re not real glasses (or eyes for that matter).
Te contrasts Ti’s role as an innocent, tight-lipped, knowledge-hungry school girl by being the stern, aggressive teacher that always has something to say when everyone else is being inefficient, or worse, unable to make their plans work out.
Te definitely has issues with the entire main function stack being “disorganized” and “inefficient” because of the many notes he’s jotted down about why and how they could improve if they just let him and the other shadow functions take control for one second.
He mostly has issues with Ti, calling her “slow” due to her need to know every single little detail and fact (unbeknownst to Ti of course because of a few strings Ni and Fe managed to pull so a function like Te and the rest can stop threatening to take control of their spots and ruin the user even more than Se could ever dream of)
The whip is also another reason Ni and Fe don’t want him around lmao
Demon Si
Si’s a timekeeper demon that actually hates his face so much he opted to wear a mask so he doesn’t have to face (heh) himself
Si contrasts Se’s role as an eternally youthful, joyful teenager by being the eternally elderly, depressed time demon that would rather be left alone forever but sticks with the shadow functions under the excuse of “keeping them in check”.
The broken off demon horn is to emphasize the fact he’s a demon since the original one whole circle horn is supposed to symbolize him being a timekeeper (eternity). The demon and self-loathing emphasis references how INFJs/INTJs internalize Si negatively more often than not.
Si has only ever interacted with Ni a few times and Ni’s more paranoid about him than any other function; he fuels their anxiety more than everyone else combined, to say the least.
No one admits it, but Si is in some weird way the glue that makes the shadow functions stick together.

Hello I would love to know what you think are Kuroko, Kagami, Akashi, Midorima, Murasakibara, Kise and Aomine's Myers–Briggs personality?
Hii ! Idk why I left that bath in my inbox when I already planed a response to it since I got it but let’s ignore it. I don’t know if you are accustomed with functions but I choose to not talk much about it in depths for the exception of some just in case as I don’t want to loose you mid explanation and wants to vulgarize things a little.
I think you can rely on personality database for most the character you listed except for Kise. And for the one you didn’t listed there also be cautious with Kasamatsu and Mayuzumi.
Tumblr media
Akashi breathe and smell INTJ, there is no doubt about it. His Ni dom is one of the most mind blowing, his Te aux is really solid and show up when he’s executing his strategies : Think about how he stopped Midorima and Takao combo and his tactics during his match against Shutoku, Fi tertiary obvious by the nature of his mental breakdown and need to find himself and his Se inf that you can notice if paying attention to how observant he is of what’s going on around him especially in his team.
Kuroko is 100% INFJ, he as well not only fit the stereotype and looking at the functions everything matches and makes sense. Huge Ni, big Fe lmao, Solid Ti and efficient Se.
Kagami is a cliché of the ESTP 8w7 it’s hilarious heavy Se dom and tertiary Fe who’s underdeveloped. He doesn’t take anyone shit and follow his own kind of logic what’s very Ti of him, he also has a need to execute things his way on his own. Finally he also quite frequently use his inferior Ni when playing basketball as well, Taiga may try multiples things but he’s not brainstorming stuff he goes for the idea he find really great and solid on the moment and if it fails he goes for something else as much solid while people who uses Ne have like multiples ideas who aren’t all that much necessarily realizable and can possibly not even use the best of them for the sake of experience but at least the information they get form the results helps the others possibilities what will allow them to hit harder new turn and always have ressources.
Midorima is an ISTJ, I remember the days people confused him with an INTJ but you can see his concrete SI dom every time like : he doesn’t feel right playing basketball when he don’t have his lucky item and gives a lot of importance to his own sensations and contact with the ball and others : preserving his precious hand and not getting over it every time his teammates get touchy tapping his head or shoulder. He’s also very track minded, following a routine and he’s not lenient on it or he feels bad about it. Solid Te and I think I don’t even need to elaborate on this because they’re no way this dude is using Ti, Fi tert underdeveloped as he has an hard time admitting how he truly feels internally and to others as well but still values more the introversion of his feelings and takes what he do seriously. If he’s doing something it’s first because he knows he can and want to and not because it’s possibly fun and let fate decides if he will enjoy it. His has an inferior Ne that he occasionally uses but it gets sharper when he’s talking with Takao, the ultimate Ne dom as an ENTP, they brainstormed together multiples times to finds combos and seeing potential progression for Kuroko drives and Kagami aerials fights.
To be INTJ, Midorima has to have Se but it’s non existent, like it’s reason why everyone is making fun of him on a basis : going out with weird lucky items and not understanding why it’s weird, having weird taste in cans he dares drink in public, he has been mocked for his beans cans hasn’t he ? Not getting that Momoi had a crush on Kuroko and Akashi predicting he wouldn’t know by the end of junior school in Replace Plus and the only thing that could make up for it is an Fe function in his stacks that he definitely can’t develop that and that he doesn’t have. Is lack of Se is also the reason why Akashi managed to find the weakness of his combo with Takao…
Murasakibara is an ISTP with solid Ti and chaotic Fe inf, I didn’t except someone to be worse than Aomine in this show especially since his enneagram is 8w7 not the most Fe axed one especially paired up with an ISTP but guess what.
Also Aomine is an ISTP like Murasakibara I know some even if it’s a unpopular opinion confuses him with ENTP and honestly it’s not a so bizarre combination it could actually fit him but no. Aomine is definitely aware of his surroundings, he has that heavy Se when playing basketball and just in general life really being a man of the instant and moment. He is really earth grounded and don’t enjoy much of the internal struggles ENTP enjoys to inflict themselves by thinking about nonsense not even existing just look at him when he’s drinking tea with Momoi and you will understand that for him thinking about fate theories isn’t even considered normal and it’s ridiculous.
He’s also so low on Fe, the tertiary Fe is hard to believe even for an unhealthy or sad ENTP. He literally cut off his relationship with Kuroko once he thought what he was doing wasn’t making sense anymore as a Ti dom and didn’t even bothered to engage in a conversation or clear things off properly before and then slowly fading away like the Fe tert would probably have done for the sake at least of their friend because magically Aomine except Kuroko to get over it and understand. And finally his tert Ni is really showing up when he’s playing basketball, he doesn’t brainstorm what are the possibilities he can came up with he has one idea and execute it by how he think it will works instinctively.
And finally Kise the one who’s mistyped in my opinion on this site is an ESTP and not an happy go lucky walking stereotype ESFP. It’s easy to type him ESFP has he fit so greatly in the stereotype of the entertainer because of how he behave around Kuroko and his anime persona but there is just no way Ryouta Kise has an Fi aux even when you’re an anime watcher only he has a clearer Fe in tertiary. I think people confuse him because Kagami as well is ESTP and they don’t behave the same at all but you would be surprised by how similar they are in reality at least in their thinking process just that Kise has a well rounded and developed Fe people ignore because relying on stereotype ESTP are quite insensitive and machines thrilling for actions.
Kise is at ease with his emotions because he learnt it and not because it’s natural in him, always surrounded by people because for his talents or beauty he got accustomed of playing of his own charm and people trying to get emotionally close to him what does explain why he get some thing to win his respect and for him to warm up to you. ( what is a Fe ugly tendency) But the truth is that he’s an idiot who only seeks out for challenges and fun things to do more than chatting even if he likes it and he can be insensitive when his pleasure is not satisfied. He grew having to be picky about who he’s hanging out to form genuine relationship and that’s why around people he really like he turn into a so affective ball. To develop his own thinking and opinion about basketball Kise relied a lot on what Kuroko said after his defeat and not what feels like good to him or common sense even if it was contradictory to what he was thinking at first and payed a lot of attention on Aomine the one he admired to develop himself. But even after all that he felt contradicted and didn’t set on an opinion because it wasn’t the one he developed by himself what proves his Ti aux and Fe tert, when playing he thinks much more about his opponents ( the one he respects) and teammates than himself and when he think about himself you best believe he’s going to few seconds after talk about the one he respect may think of him or how he may look ridiculous from an exterior perspective. Kise is all about finding a challenger he will have fun playing along, what is very Fe and no way Fi aux. And in reality he quite have an hard time realizing things about himself : his rivalry with Kuroko and Kagami, that in reality he never agreed that much with how things were going on at Teiko, that he never wanted to see Aomine loose until the inter high, that he genuinely likes his teammates more than simple camaradery bound and liked to be associated with the Kaijo team and even then I bet he’s not realizing he’s much more emotionally attached to Aomine than he think outside of basketball and considerate GOM as his only true friends besides Kaijo.
Kise has a solid Ti showed multiples time by when he’s playing : he’s not simply imitating but learn the technique and reappropriate it to himself and ameliorate it even composing multiples combos with them with the Perfect Copy : he’s doing the weirdest combos I swear with his Ti, even another Ti aux can barely keep up just think about that time Kuroko is trying to stop him and he switch to faint Midorima but then makes a pass and Moriyama makes a new pass as he head toward the basket. In general life his Ti aux come off as insensitive mostly : multiples times telling Kuroko he should come rejoin him as following his logic it make sense for him to just leave and come to Kaijo, but he’s surprisingly not totally Fe blind at this moment, after that telling Kuroko what he thinks about Kagami even though no one asked him. But when it’s most obvious he use Ti is in his Teiko days when unlike a Fi aux would do he’s comparing himself with Kuroko throughout the days as his tutor and openly bash him on his abilities to Aomine and excepting explanations on what that dude is doing in the A group instead of talking about how much more worthy he is to be in the team or either internally reprimand how deceived he is and and stuff. He’s much more calculating than people think as he be thinking about how he will plan to gravitate stages in the basketball club and pay attention to what peoples perceive him as to keep in check his progression and get information. And like Fe user he don’t like to be tied down to set morals society or himself he may indulge ( doesn’t mean he’s doing weird or bad stuff but like for example he’s probably the type of guy who’s very loyal but won’t marry his partner that quickly even if he knows he will. As except the symbolism of the ceremony , he don’t find it really important.) So he’s always open to opinion and he’s versatile, changing and keep evolving. He’s also has a very instinctive a well developed Ni inferior, he uses more than Kagami and is from the same level of even superior surprisingly as/than Murasakibara when playing but just in general life as well getting geniuses ideas to his standard out of nowhere and predictions. And his Se is just that great and enormous I think it’s unnecessary for me to talk about it. The dude literally just mimic what he watches physically and when he’s annoyed he hears the wind and hate it proving he’s a guy of the instant.

ATEEZ MBTI
*based on my opinion and cognitive functions. May change later.*
*Also I am aware they have talked about their types, but they used the 16personalities site. The results are often very inaccurate from there.*
Explanation of functions
*Updated 07/06/22. I have also linked the more thorough mbti profiles of each member through their names.*
...
Hongjoong
INFJ (Ni - Fe - Ti - Se)
Puts a lot thought and depth to all of his work...has worked a long time to achieve all his dreams and goals. Still works a lot to achieve his goals
Cares a lot about the members, to the point he sometimes forgets about himself(Fe). He helps them out often
Involved with social projects like Polished man, children's issues, etc. INFJs often strive to raise awareness and make a difference in the world. Hongjoong has talked about wanting to be a good role model for others
Seonghwa
ISFJ (Si - Fe - Ti - Ne)
Like many Si users, very organized and structured. Very neat, keeps a routine
Surprisingly 16personalities was close with ESFJ score...His Fe is just very strong. He's obviously very caring and kind, he's deeply considerate and sweet
Really is the epitome of a typical ISFJ - organized, neat, has a routine, caring and kind, affectionate, is literally called the "mom" of the group; ISFJs are known for their motherly nature. Even being "traditional" - Hwa adheres to convention and formality(e.g when Woo was playfully teasing Changbin and Hwa reminded him that Changbin is their sunbae, so he wouldn't accidentally disrespect him lol)
SeongJoong Fe pairing creates the parent dynamic lol
Yunho
ENTP (Ne - Ti - Fe - Si)
He has great use of his tertiary Fe, I can see why some may think he's an ENFJ. However, I don't see any Ni usage with him. A straight up Ne-Fe machine
Though when it comes to brain storming or trying to solve something, that's when his Ne-Ti definitely comes out
Not an ENFP as he doesn't use Fi-Te. His Fe is too visible to be Fi
Yeosang
INTP (Ti - Ne - Si - Fe)
They're all scared of his bluntness, is that not INTP enough lmao
His Fe seems to be improving though, he is considerate and nice
His love theory on that one Salary Lupin ep...idk if it was scripted or not though. If not, that was one hell of a theory, it was really impressive. INTPs are great at coming up with theories and connecting ideas and seeing patterns
San
ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)
Like an Fi user, is very deeply emotional and thoughtful. The letters he has written to his members and to ATINY really display how deep his feelings go.
Auxiliary Se for sure as he's got great reflexes. A demon on stage
I hope I'm remembering correctly...When Yunho had to get up early once and saw San was up as well...and San said he was feeling sentimental - such an Fi thing to say lol
Mingi
ESFP (Se - Fi - Te - Ni)
Not sure how he got ENTP...I think he just has good use of Fi and Te. He's direct and strives for success. Mingi likes to be genuine and honest(Fi), just does what he needs to do(Te)
He cares about his own image, he's focused on how he presents himself, his achievements. He lives very in the moment as well
And of course, he has the natural hype energy of an ESFP lol
Wooyoung
ESFP
So much Se, he is so active and hyper
Naturally entertaining and fun like most ESFPs
He has no problem using his Te, he is assertive and sometimes nagging. Like Mingi, he also cares about his image and about success
I don't have much knowledge on it, but some people think he displays kinesthetic intelligence, which may show through his Se
Jongho
ISTJ (Si - Te - Fi - Ne)
Very reserved like an ISTJ, I'm not sure how he got ESFJ....or how others saw ENTP. He has no visible Fe and is definitely not an Ne dom. He's dorky, but not in an ENTP way
He's good at organizing people and leading when he needs to(Salary lupin is a good example). He is the oldest sibling in his family too, so I'm sure it comes to him naturally

any updates on the ORV 16 personality analysis, now that you're this far into the story?
let me go cross-examine with the PDB page because my brain is fried like an egg
ok main trio i wouldn't change from what i initially thought. yoohankim ISTP ENTP and INTJ respectively
KDJ probably my favorite fictional INTJ ever because he's just so well written, look at his big stupid Fi heart that loves his family so much. KDJ I kiss you on the mouth for how well written you are and also everything else about you. even the war crimes. I don't have much to say for him because he's such a strong INTJ that if you asked me what an INTJ was I'd point to him. One more thing I think is interesting is how similarly he and YJH come off at times...I feel like ISTP/INTJ and INFJ/INTP can be easily mistaken for each other based off of first impressions. Their actual functions are SO different I just mean in terms of vibes here
Han Sooyoung is a very strong ENTP as well which is all the explanation you need for her horrible personality /gen - I have no idea why INTJ votes are so high for her because her style of leadership and planning is explicitly pointed out several times to contrast Dokja's (Ne dom vs. Ni dom) - he says almost verbatim in canon how much he admires how she can see the big picture of things (Ne) while he tends to stick to one plan and modify that One Plan if needed as he goes (Ni). And Predictive Plagiarism is such an Ne-Ti skill it hurts. I could see the INTJ votes coming in due to to her 1863rd form but imo that's just an ENTP operating at their best? Also fictional ENTPs who are more ambitious tend to have this kind of "dual persona" when it comes to their goals/leadership styles vs their day-to-day personalities. They're very good at molding to a role
Yoo Jonghyuk ISTP <3 yeah. I would take ISTJ arguments if we were just vibe typing (especially later ORV) and I can SEE Si arguments but also. His Se and Ti are so strong. If you want to compare Ti and Te compare him and KDJ. Also I don't know too much about enneagram but he and HSY both being 8s with different wings is the funniest thing. 8's seek dominance over others (essentially a desire to be the top of the pecking order, whether as a leader or an independent actor, because their biggest fear is being controlled), 9 wing (yjh) looks for security in life and from the others around it, 7 wing (hsy) just wants to have a good fucking time and party. Also tends to hide/conceal its pain
Yoo Sangah ENFJ Yes yes I agree with this because I am in love with her (I had her as ExFJ when i did the post iirc I wasn't sure which). Intuitively good with people, naturally friendly, subtly very keen and discerning and able to not only pick up on but also accept Dokja's internal logic, even when it's a bit ruthless to do so (Ni-aux). She's the group's public figure, a natural diplomat. Doesn't shy away from the paparazzi like JHW or prefer to have her notoriety speak for her like HSY and KDJ. She's also YJH's exact opposite, if you want to compare ISTPs and ENFJs look at them. It means they have the same function stack but reversed. Also she and LHS being the most amicable of the main group is due to their xxFJ typing. naturally tuned in to people, to the point where they may stifle themselves for the sake of others
Lee Jihye I disagree with PDB saying ISTP (I think she's ISFP) but I don't know enough about mbti to dispute it LMFJDHDHD so I'll go with the communal vote of ISTP. they're right and I'm wrong. Either way my jock Se daughter
Lee Gilyoung I initially had him as INTP and PDB has him as INTP but I'm not... SURE? He's so difficult to type because he's the babby of the group. A babby doesn't have their full function stack developed yet. I don't think it's WRONG I'm just not SURE
Shin Yoosung I can see ENFP! She's either an ENFP leaning heavily on her tertiary Te (to appeal to her sponsor/dad's aux-Te) or an ENFJ (seeing herself as the most responsible among the kids, tends to be a little bossy at times).
Jung Heewon ISFP (i have feelings for you. this doesn't have anything to do with mbti just in general), nothing to add from what I said about her initially. Dominant Fi in her strong personal sense of justice.
Lee Hyunsung big ol ISFJ teddy bear. yes. His whole arc is about learning not to lean so heavily on his Si-dominance. He LSH and YJH are the reason why the OG WOS adults are so like. Like. Like. I'm trying to find a more polite way to say "like they have sticks up their asses"
Lee Seolhwa OKAY yes they have her as ISFJ that's what I meant when I said her personality is similar to Tamao's (another ISFJ). Though frankly I could see ISFJ or ISTJ for her, and I'm leaning more towards ISTJ. Either way I'm in love with her a little and I think that as her mega evil villain persona she's tapping into that inferior Ne and running with it, as all ISxJs should be allowed to do it's so fun and sexy
SWK I had as ESTP initially but after we actually meet him at the Constellation Banquet definitely ISTP lmao. Friendly jock that doesn't actually want to socialize. objectively the best constellation
Secretive Plotter ohhh.... Ooooh you'd think ISTP because of Who He Is but 40,000 years in space will change a bitch. Who knows. PDB says INTJ...sure? I dunno I think that vote might be due to vibe typing. I welcome comments on this, I don't think the votes on this on PDB are "complete" yet so to speak I don't trust this one (like LGY I don't think it's wrong I'm just not sure)
Uriel BIG ENFP VIBES but based off actual functions idk. Her ENFP energy is so strong that I'd struggle to see her as anything else. She and JHW both having strong Fi placements tho <333
ABFD I don't remember what PDB put for him but it was probably ESFP or ESTP. I'd say ESFP. Kim Namwoon ESTP.
Yoo Mia being ESTJ IS THE CUTEST THING (and i agree with it completely) when her older brother is an ISTP. Iconic duo

I've always thought your answers and explanation to be very tert Ti...If you don't mind, could you explain what led you to retyping?
Ah yes finally... The question i was waiting for.
The main and simplest reason is because I switched of paradigm, for the one named CT: Cognitive Type. This approach has a visual typing method called Vultology, and from the videos I sent in the server the result was revealing most likely FiSe ("ISFP") with conscious Ni, thus the little l-l- thingy in my bio which stands for function consciousness.
Of course, simple visual analysis didnt convince me on its own at first, but when I read the theoretical part, it convinced me really fast. They basically articulated everything I conceived about Cognitive functions and got an objective methodology to assess them, which is the lacking aspect and biggest flaw of the jungian mbti (j-mbti) system mostly used on tumblr.
Anyway, when I read about "Ji lead", I had to constate two things:
1. It did still fit with my way of processing quite well, and which you, anon, and many others, have been also reporting about me.
2. It was overlapping a lot with the Ni-Ji descriptions made in J-mbti, especially the Ni-Ti one.
When I got into Fi descriptions, I got a bit flabbergasted. Within one single function, they explained everything I tried to convey within four ; Ni-Fe-Ti-Se. But when i read the Ti one, it was the most unrelatable shit i have ever read of my life. Ni was still relatable as well, but the only reason why i didnt retype to NiTe instead, else than because my vultology doesnt match NiTe one, is because of their theory on cognitive development and consciousness level.
As i mentioned, i have Ni "conscious", and within this theory, conscious functions share equally the energy used for cognitive processing with the leading function. So, it means Fi and Ni are used in equal measure, like a symbiotic whole. It's like if both were dominant, almost. However, if energy is restrained for some reasons and one has to be sacrificed, Fi will remain predominant.
Of course, this doesnt tell why I think Fi dominance explain my process better now, so here is the link, as it would take me way too much time and energy to write it myself when i have an article at my disposition to do the job for me. However, big disclaimer here: it is outdated and needs to be rewritten. Some parts are still "Meh" and this is why it needs to be revisited. But the overall is still very potent and i could relate to most parts.
Also, in this theory, my Se is still pretty much dead even tho it is still technically auxiliary. It is unconscious, and development requires some Ego work. And i am still in the lower stage of my Se development, according to how development happens through this paradigm (which i also fully agree with). I am even ironically more advanced in my Te development, which is near consciousness.
Anyway, I am derailing. There is a lot more that could be said, because the main reason of my retype is about the theory switch i have made. It would requires me to explain a whole theory which is masochistic at this point, especially when knowing the author himself has taken years to write it down, and is still refining it. But in the J-mbti, i'd still type as INFJ, however the CT theory aligns way more with my own conception of cognitive functions, so I identify way more with FiSe overall, which is not necessarily the same as "ISFP" in the J-mbti.
If you want me to explain some specific part of my retyping or have questions about this theory overall (like, wtf unseelie means lmao), i will gladly answer.

hey, INFJ 5w4 (541) here. i’ve got sort of a crush on one of my comfort characters who is an ESFP 7w6 (794) and i’ve been using cognitive functions to predict how well we’d get along ... (because he makes me happy dont judge ;_;). you’re an ESFP 7w6 so it’s best to ask an expert at someone who knows how an ESFP 7w6 works. (1/6)
i know the reason ENFP and INFJ tend to work so well is that our cognitive functions each complete each other at every level. but most important in this context is that INFJ’s parent Fe yields to ExFP’s parent Fi, and ExFP’s child Te yields to INFJ’s child Ti, basically allowing each other to be heard on those levels. ESFP shares this with ENFP.
i saw that post you reblogged and i think it’s true about types being drawn to others with their inferior function higher in the stack. Se is something aspirational to me, and i think i’d feel more comfortable if i had a more experienced and confident Se user by my side to be more in the moment. i’m certainly capable of using Se, but not considering consequences gives me anxiety, so i tend to go carefully on Se activities such as driving, or on giving the best presentation ever where i become so focused on how im presenting it feels horribly awkward and unnatural. i sort of feel like it’s a one-way street though, i don’t know if most Se doms hold that same aspiration with Ni and would feel more comfortable being with an experienced one.
would an Se user appreciate an Ni dom’s insight or will they reject it? like if I were to go “i absolutely think you should have fun! but you should avoid ___ because that looks dangerous as hell and you could die. and i know that gamble sounds fun but you won’t be able to do or experience any new stuff if you die. and also i would miss you horribly”, how would that seem to an ESFP? especially a 7w6?
btw the crush isnt a romantic one..more like a queerplatonic crush, a more intimate friendship. i’m physically touch-averse and squirmy like a cat unless i’m the one who initiates it, but the *thought* of a hug or cuddle gets me feeling really soft haha. anyway, i’ve got pretty high Ti for an INFJ, i’m generally super insightful and logically thorough, and really attuned others’ feelings and i often crave to know how they feel about something. what’s the prognosis for us looking like doc
Hi!! and thank you for the deep question. I personally think you should have in mind one thing: How mature is that ESFP 7w6 (both cognitively and organically ? lmao)
To me, what you say sounds very reasonable, and even would mean a lot to me to see that you care that much. So, the thing is: it isn’t that important which MBTI or enneagram he is, but the level of maturity he has and his openness to take into account thoughts and advices totally different from what he wants to hear. If he is mature enough, Ni’s regards and warnings in a  will be welcomed. Indeed, a healthy Se dom user will seek that kind of Ni insight. We lack that deep analysis of situations and, personally, I think every healthy ESFP would want to learn how to spot meanings and insights in life situations instead of just jumping into them. Just like most Ni doms confess they would like to be more “down to Earth” or “realistic” “easygoing” or whatever they like about Se lmao.
Also, it is easier for a Ni dom to connect with a Se dom with a 6 wing, since enneagram 6 is what makes a type 7 more anxious and worried about the future. ESFP 7w8 usually overlook consequences more than 7w6, who tend to overthink in stressful situations. So, yes, I am sure that your inputs will be appreciated if you two have a close relationship.
But this is my advice too: Just like some Se actions seem awkward and unnatural for you and can lead you to anxiety, you should keep in mind that, for a Se dom, living by Ni rules will be also tiring and stressful (I can’t explain how anxious makes me when people ask me about my long term plans and how impatient I am with people questioning every single thing before taking action). So you have to know that your role is to help him balance, to help him to spot and analyze risky scenarios and their consequences and also help him to slow down before making impulsive decisions, but is NOT your role trying him to act like you would. With that in mind, a Se-Ni relationship can be super rewarding, useful and nurturing.

Questions and Comments
1. is this a homestuck thing. this is a homestuck thing isnt it  2. lol i love doing both!!! i love world building but i also like trying my hand at redesigning the mess that is canon fashion. @theoretical-artist 3. thank you!!! oritel and marion are in this post! 4. ayyyyy inginio hit me up (thank you lol) 5. Thank you! 6. maybe? i’ll see if i get around to it, i still have a few characters to get to so the school fairies and the last two selkies might show up with them 7. probably not.... it would be super fun but unless it was a commission i don’t feel like i have time haha 8. I’ve seen their blog around!! i can’t remember if i follow or not but i know who ur talking about and they cool @winxy-writing @winxys-written-world
Character and Worlbuilding
1. My brilliant nerd daughter!!! She sometimes gets so into coding or a video game she forgets to eat or drink so the girls watch out for her. She’s prone to dissociating, especially if the situation is emotional. Her hair is really soft. she actually loves sappy romantic things but has trouble accepting them or vocalizing that she wants them because they’re impractical/illogical. she discovered romcoms when she got to alfea and they are her ultimate guilty pleasure(only flora knows abt this and is always slipping recs to her) 2. They’re weirdly one of my fav couples??? like maybe its because i relate to and have projected onto both of them lmao. but any ways. Daphne and Thoren actually met when they were kids, but didn’t spend much time together because it was at a formal event. Daphne is technically 20 years older than Thoren(only a few years older than Sky), but they’re the same physical age because Daphne spent so long as a spirit. They probably wouldn’t get married as quickly in my version, especially with Daphne’s trauma. Daphne will have nightmares sometimes and Thoren has a whole routine for comforting her and helping her feel safe and grounded. Thoren gets anxious easily, and Daphne will use her magic to subtly change the environment so he feels more comfortable. they like to watch reality tv together and yell at dramatic people. 3. omg yes. this was the most frustrating thing i was watching through winx with my dad like a month ago and every time bloom called her adoptive parents by their first names i yelled at her lol. she would call Vanessa mama and Mike daddy(if you make a kink joke i will eat your liver). She would call Marion and Oritel mom and dad.  4. Yeah kind of! part of her exhaustion in Dowlland was the fact that she had been in fairy mode for so long, hiking underground, and tossed around in a river like??? anybody would need a pick me up after that. She (and all solarians) do have to live where there’s a lot of natural light as they require a high amount of vitamin d(or the equivalent of it for solarians). short trips usually aren’t a problem, Stella is just hella unlucky in the second season lmao. @moonpeachblossom 5. the short answer as to why she’s a blond (scottish??? in one of the dubs???) in an asian inspired culture/planet is because racism (or not so short bcus its a lot to unpack honestly). the answer in my version however is a pretty simple fix. She bleaches her hair. she’s paler than musa but she aint white.  6. I haven’t really yet!! Helia is struggling with his two fairly opposed cultural influences, trying to figure what he wants and whats right for him. He was raised on Lynphea but had frequent trips to Vaonaa. Lynphea is very grounded, they’re slow and steady and stubborn. Vaonaa is much more flexible, they’re flighty and spontaneous and easily adaptable. Helia’s dads love eachother and helia very much but they are VERY different people and both want different things from Helia(they try not to pressure too much but the expectations are still there). Helia’s Vaonaaj dad wants him to pursue magic, specifically wind or air magic. Helia’s Lynphean dad wants him to become a warrior. Helia feels like he’s kind of a misfit in both Vaonaaj and Lynphean culture. It took a while, but he did finally confide his feelings in Flora and she encouraged him to talk with his dads about finding his niche.  7. oooooooh fun fun relationshipsssss Bloom and Sky: so bloom and sky aren’t the most stable couple, and in my version it would take bloom a little longer to be ok with dating a prince. Bloom is fairly insecure in her relationships because of self worth issues, and tend to run away from problems instead of dealing with them. Sky on the other hand is confident but doesn’t really know how to handle people’s feelings and tends to push confrontation. I do believe that with better writing Sky and bloom could be a dope couple but as is in canon they’re VERY problematic.  Stella and Brandon: babies. they love each other so much its the best omg. Stella finds her worth in her appearance but she always seems to take brandon’s complements in a less.... arrogant way? if that makes sense? like she truly appreciates them and wants his support. i wish we knew more about Brandon but he’s legit such a good boyfriend. I think they fight mostly when Stella is being a little selfish, or when Brandon is too busy to meet her emotional needs. Flora and Helia: MORE BABIES. so Helia is more of a drama queen in the comics but we’ll ignore that for right now lol. Flora and Helia are probably the least problematic couple in the entire show. They met. Flirted a little. Confessed. and started dating with out any major problems. if i can remember correctly they don’t even really fight??? unless icy has frozen helia’s heart or something lol. I think both Helia and Flora’s love language is quality time so they’re fairly low key and just like to be in the same space and each other.   Musa and Riven: boy oh boy. Ok so, ignoring the several times Riven was LITERALLY MIND CONTROLLED his character is still difficult to deal with. I think Musa and Riven are both very intense people, and while that can be super fun and develop into a good relationship, it can also lead to LOTS of problems. I think my major problem with how they broke up was that Musa didn’t support Riven’s training? like i understand being upset you can’t see ur person often, or if they’re really busy, but Riven supported Musa’s music several times in the previous seasons it just seemed weird Musa was so unfairly demanding of him? Tecna and Timmy: nerd babies. They’re super cute honestly. I think Timmy was probably the one to instigate the relationship and bonded with Tecna over technology since she wasn’t super emotionally available at first. They have issues when Tecna is unable to voice her emotions and timmy needs to know what she’s feeling mostly, but after the first few times they’ve both learned to give the other space to figure their stuff out. Aisha and Nabu: ugh perfect couple. minus the kind of sketchy beginning lol. Aisha and Nabu generally don’t fight once they get used to each other. Nabu is a focal point that aisha is kind of bungee corded to if that makes sense? like obvi not in a restricting way. its just Aisha is hella active and needs her own space to explore and grow, but Nabu is her solid ground that she relies on.  Aisha and Nex: i actually don’t hate nex as much as the rest of the fandom lol. so like i said Aisha is an active, independent woman, and if Nabu was a separate, stationary, focal point for her, I think Nex is related, moving, counter point. So like Nex can actually keep up with Aisha, and push her and challenge her. Which isn’t a bad thing in relationships so long as a mutual respect is there.   8. well. canon is a little..... messy. My version of the girls definitely retain their individualism. for other differences... they’re just a little more fleshed out? i guess? like Bloom’s moody behavior in the show i think is because of her insecurity issues, so that plays a part in how i draw her and think of her.  9. ok wow this is gonna be tough well here we go Sky: I think sky is an ESTJ he’s not super emotional(inf Fe) but can lean toward controlling(dom Te). he seems to like tradition and think social promises are important(Si). Brandon: ESFJ. Brandon is the mom friend of the boys ok. He goes along with sky’s crazy plans, tries to subtly set Riven up with musa(season 1 i think?), some how managed to land a social butterfly like Stella and seems to just navigate social situations REALLY easily(dom Fe). he also seems to hate being disrespected or taken for granted(Si) stella does this occasionally.  Timmy: ISFJ???? thats the vibe i get hear me out ok so in season 2 Timmy gets tecna the exact computer part she needs because 1. He knows they both like things to be practical(Si) 2. He knows and remembered the part she was talking about and filed it away in his brain(Ti) and 3. He and Tecna bonded over tech (Fe) Riven: honestly he’s a tough one.... Maybe a really stunted and angry ISFJ? (speaking from personal experience i am an ISFJ) i don’t have a real reason why but riven’s behavior is really confusing in the show so it makes typing tough..... possibly INTJ as well....... Helia: ISFP. Lmao I might be basing this entirely off of stereotypes but helia has a strong pacifist belief and can be moody(Fi, and more in the comics lol) is attuned to his surroundings(Se) seems pretty focused??(Ni) and i can’t think of his Te showing up be it is an inferior  Nabu: ISTJ weirdly a good fit with Aisha(ESTP) tho?? even though he’s an Si dom, he doesn’t go along with the arranged marriage because its not what he believes(Fi) and he’s stubborn about it(Te). Roy: ENFJ honestly just a cutie. He’s personable(Fe), focused for the most part(Ni), and is comfortable in his environment(Se).  Nex: ENTP? maybe?? He’s pretty impulsive and has that “work around” mentality I associate with ENTPs.... idk this one doesn’t seem to fit super well...  Thoren: Maybe INFJ?? i mean thoren honestly doesn’t have a lot of screen time but he’s attentive(Ni), and tries to take care of people(Fe). most of the infj’s i know are fun but weird lol, but i think thoren has anxiety so that could play into him being less “out there” in his behavior.  if any of yall have input on this feel free to let me know. 10. ooooooh good question. So I’m basing these on their parent’s name and the names of people from their planet. Bloom: Hestia or Enya, i also think she got sent to earth with an article of clothing or a blanket that had her name on it, which is why her name is the same lmao Stella: Stella is actually named pretty appropriately considering the other names we have are Luna, Radius, Nova, Chimera, and Casandra, all of those are fairly latin/roman based names.  but she could also be called Clara, Aura, Venus etc. Musa: Her mom and dad have very asian sounding names but the princess of melody is named Galatea, so honestly anything is on the table. Aulos, Hee-Young, Jia Li, Kaida, etc. Tecna: lol everybody on Zenith has ridiculous names so im just loosely basing them off of sciencey stuff. Nobelia, Xenon, Titania. Aisha: I actually really like Aisha’s name! Ayize, Sizani, Mehrbano would work tho. Flora: what even is the naming system of Lynphea i don’t understand it. Im gonna make them vaguely naturey and European-ish?? Calla, Terra, Rowan, Willow, I could go on and on there are so many plant names. 11. Hmmm yeah, so basically in my world a person with TOO MUCH magic gets overwhelmed and kinda goes a little crazy(the ancestral witches) the same thing happens with tritannus when he gets the emperor's throne power. He’s loyal to icy and she to him until he looses his ability to think clearly and turns on icy, icy gets freaked out and leaves with her sisters when they swoop in to rescue her. they don’t so much “break up” as they are “broken up” by the circumstances. In general Tritannus does really like Icy, hes attracted to her ambition and powerful personality. Icy started out just manipulating Tritannus but caught feelings oops 12. Yeah so, humans in general can withstand a lot of wild magic as their body “metabolizes” it quickly. Kalshara(the cat lady you don’t know the name of) used extremely concentrated samples, combined with other spells to keep the wild magic in her body permanently. If a human with out a properly developed magic biome (a lot of earthians only have a low functioning one) get exposed to a wild magic source they would probably gain some aspects of fairy animals, probably not like, fur, or anything but eye and hair color changes, maybe some patterns on the skin. but there’s also the chance that they would just.... die..... cus that happens with animals too lmao sry. @weirdghostly

want to know what you think of my typing of seventeen and if that can help you somehow as well. jun enfp 100% he full of Ne but he just shy enfp, dino estp, the8 isfp100%, jeonghan isfj100%, vernon istp with high Ni and Fe? i'm sure hes not infp as some who typed him bcs i'm an infp i can see easily he use Se and Ni. joshua infj100%, dk exfp100%, scoups enfj, wonwoo infp, mingyu enfp? esfj?, seungkwan esfj if he's not he's estp!, hoshi exfp im sorry for being an actual trash in your blog lmao):
Hi, thank you for your suggestions!
Jun - ENFP
Yeah I can agree with that, he seems to use Ne, is also quite cuddly, but also didn’t quite fit in fully for a little while, which was more than just the language barrier, but due to slight Ne-oddity I think.  Can be clingy.
Dino - ESTP
not sure about this one.  Could be.  I mentioned before that I originally thought ESFJ but I guess he must be a sensor who’s on the Ti-Fe axis lol.
The8 - ISFP
Yeah I can agree with this quite easily.
Jeonghan - ISFJ
As I’ve said already, I’m certain that Jeonghan is ISFJ.  Sooo sure.
Vernon - ISTP
Genuinely not sure.  He is quite cool and chill though, which matches with ISTPs, and he’s also quite an “in the moment” kind of person, which usually means Se.  I don’t think he’s an INFP either; he’d be more likely to be an INTP, but ISTP is probably better.
Joshua - INFJ
Yeah I think so.  I reckon I did type him as an INFJ as well.  Do-gooder optimistic and idealistic warm-hearted churchy boy;  need I say more.
DK - ExFP
I’d say ExFx lol;  I need to study him more in detail because it’s all too easy to get a shallow picture of him rather than a deeper one.
Scoups - ENFJ
Hmm.  ESTP ENFJ and ESFJ have all been suggested for him.  I originally thought ESFJ but think that’s wrong;  he could be one of those people like Euijin where it’s hard to tell if they’re ENFJ or ESTP because of their well-balanced function use (I love SCoups and do think he’s quite balanced).
Wonwoo - INFP
Yes I think I typed him as INFP originally.  Quiet little book man who gets stressed out and panics if he realises he’s hurt someone, even accidentally.
Mingyu - ExFx?
I think I originally typed Mingyu as ESTP but I’m no way sure now.  I think he does Ne-panic though, and also uses Ti, so maybe ESFJ?  BUT I can usually spot ESFJs easily and he didn’t jump out at me so idk. Maybe back to ENFP.  Aargh, I need to check him out again.
Seungkwan - ESFJ / ESTP
I still think he’s ESFP but I can watch more stuff and maybe see different perspectives!  (I really thought he was on the Fi-Te axis lol…)
Hoshi - ExFP
As discussed previously.
You didn’t mention Woozi lol but I think I thought he was an xNTJ.  Definitely a Ni-Se-user.
Also don’t worry, you’re not actual trash in my blog!  You are, in fact, a valued customer :D  I’m glad of the conversation, and hope you are ok with this response, and enjoy the rest of my blog!

hey, a qna 285 follow-up. I looked through the mbti type links you posted and omfg, emmy is really most likely to be INFJ ☠️ like no wonder i cannot relate to her decisions lmfao! I said this because i'm an INTJ and as soon as i can relate to her perceiving her surroundings, she does something weird that caught me off guard like huhhhh? But im not mad at her yk, she just surprised me that's all. No because unsurprisingly, as an INTJ, i can understand where she came from, but her actions, words and thoughts are always so?? 🤣🫣 But not in a i-disagree-and-hate-this-character way but in a, ok-youre-kinda-relatable-but-why-did-you-choose-decision-a-instead-of-b-thats-not-rational, because just when i thought she should do rational a decision, she did b. EMORY's character always left me confused but surprisingly i understood her decisions and wasn't mad at her at all? Ngl, i wished she bullied Will more so that she can actually lived up to his pointy-finger claims and allegations 🙄 because will is so?? Lmao, he wouldn't have survived ME that's for sure. HAHAHAHAHAHA IDK!
As an INTJ, how i can relate or not relate to her is: i feel like emmy's almost there, but not quite in her decisions as compared to what i would actually do irl! Interesting enough i have a friend in real life who's also an INFJ, and another one who's ENFJ, and guess what KO, they're all so similar!!! Omg!!!! Hahahahaah, cute! Another two of my friends are INFPs, another one was ENFP, and only one is ISTJ, and ngl, this T type is really strict ☠️ and we only got along after a lot of dumb petty fights and heart to heart sessions, but even then we're still very stubborn. She's my most reliable friend though so theres that. Do i just attract a certain MBTI or Cognitive Funtion types or something because whaaaat? 5 N-F friends is crazy! No because if they try to confront me, theyre the ones who'll run away first and cry? Like, what? LMFAO! Thats why i said, Emmy's understandably weird, and cute. Very compassionate, helpful, sincere, and kind too. Similar to my healthy N-F-J friends. Oh, and they're very persuasive, bossy and moody alright. When theyre happy, everyone's happy, when theyre sad, oof the whole room can feel that. Whew! Only, idgaf, i wasnt always affected by that. Wow, maybe their type is just like that in general, huh? Now i'm interested to know what people of their type think of me ngl. What about you KO, can you relate to Emmy or any DN characters in any way? Idk if you've disclosed this before, and if you don't mind me asking, what's your MBTI type?
Another interesting thought, as an INTJ, reading about a possible INFJ, Emory, her pov actually didnt make me feel like she put me through a wringer as much, but then maybe because i'm also almost similar to her? Intense, thats what we are. And very unyielding. Our perceiving functions, Ni and Se are the same, but our deciding functions that decide the way we make decisions are very different, hers being Fe and Ti, while mine being Te and Fi, hence why i can understand the things that she went through, i just cant relate to her actions in general, but still find her caharcter fascinating and amusing to read about. And my friends in life are also pretty intense and the insightful type? So Idk, i get this a lot so maybe because it's our kind of normal, thats why nightfall was quite a breeze read to me. I knew of people who read nightfall and cried themselves to tears, but icant lie, i never experienced that. Onky through booktok and booktwt that i knew how many of them reacted very strongly to this book. Interesting! This made me wonder, what were the readers of nightfall's cognitive functions or MBTIs' to be having them reacting the way they reacted with the text.
When readers say they felt then cried so much for Emmy, i was shocked, and even more shock when they said they felt more sorry for will, because i wasnt sorry for him, almost, at ALL. Sure, i can see what emmy went through, but i don't have that strong emorions as others, my reactions were pretty similar to Emmy, especially when she doesnt look like she was feeling much even though her brain and heart was processing or going through a lot? Again, Similar, yet so different. Other than that, I thought what happened to Will was less sympathetic or empathetic to me because they are usually, 1. Consequences of his own bad decisions, and 2. Because he chose the wrong crowd to be around. It always lead back to him at some point, but he never seem to acknowledge that until noghtfall. But then that was the reason he liked emmy so much, and it couldnt be anyone else. Idk, if i was Will, no matter what background or how privileged i have or was, cognitively, i dont think i would ever feel as comfortable as him to be putting blame on everyone and everything about my life without admitting my wrongs.
but then my INTJ type is also known for that; Being Accountable and responsible for my own stuff, but i do lack sensitivity when it comes to things like this, so maybe that's why i never bought Will's bullshit, because what he said he did didnt match up with what he actually did. I'm sure his brothers grew up happy too, but they were never labelled as coddled or spoiled or irresponsible so there's only so mich of wealth and privilege that he can hide behind before it shows his true personality that he needed to fix. even though i can understand where he came from, i still dont agree with will most of the time. In fact, i dont like flaky people like him irl. Maybe thats why his character annoys me very much. Maybe my opinion is also an outlier because my personality type is not even a common type, hence my opnion can be unpopular. So many maybes! I said unpopular because As much as there's a lot of criticism about Will or even damon on your account KO (and even booktwt), we're actually the outlier, we're probably the only group who thought this way, because if you check goodreads and storygraph, there were more criticisms of Emmy than Will, and even Damon 🫠
I heard when Nightfall was released, so many people were against Emmy in PD's FB group and goodreads, and they wished Will ended up with Alex, and at first i thought it was joke, but when i filter through Goodreads reviews to the oldest, wow, it's really true! And i was not only shocked, but was sad about it because she's my favourite FMC in the whole series! I noticed that Emmy had only been slowly gaining fans a year after her character was published, and after she got promoted positively on social media by other Emory fans and promotion of fan edits on booktok. This might be the first time i feel like social media did my fav char justice, LOL! i wished i was there in 2020-2021 PD's FB group so i can see all nightfall criticims unfold LIVE myself. So when PD said that maybe their fans (possibly they made a conclusion based on the response in their FB group) didnt like when they wrote characters like Emmy or Aro, i believe them because we're actually in the minorities unfortunately. Not pnly in minorities, it took time for the emory fans before us to put the work for others to hear about how amazing she was. And Sure, the ones who like emmy are very loud now, but if we do a poll, Winter and Rika then and even now are still in the #1 and #2 spots everywhere. Side note, Even stans on twitter believe that Will's only fault was he loved too much... like bad Will in corrupt, hideaway and kill switch didnt exist? idk, i thought this opinion of theirs on him was dumb, because it dismiss his characterisation of being more accountable and responsible in his present and future, as compared to his embarrasing past mistakes, but hey, it's a fan space, anybody can think whatever they want. I just dont have to agree and engage with them.
anyway, coming back to me saying reading nightfall felt like a breeze, when all that shit happened in blackchurch, in the train and even afterwords, my face and feeling was like 😠😕😟😶🥰😶😶😶❓❔ not 🤢🤮🥰😘😍🥺😢😫😖😣🤯🤬😡😰😱😨🫣😓🤥🫠🫨🥱😪🤤😵😵‍💫🤐🤮🤢🥴😷🤒🤠👹👹👹💩💩🤡☠️ you know what i mean. My feelings were pretty tame actually. I guess i did feel a lot and intensely, but not as variant and reactively like other readers? Because i feel that was how my reaction was vs others. And i think i'm pretty level-headed too, because a lot of things that people hate or were mad about nightfall (and theyre valid things to be mad about), i'm mostly indifferent about them. To me, the past is the past, and even though there are some things i wished were not there in nightfall, ultimately, idgaf anymore, and the greater good is more important. People evolve, and because of emmy, she made me ship will with her, and my willemmy shipper heart would always root for their happiness and what they want, even though i believe will needed some kicks in his ass still. But if he said he would improve and if emmy already believed that he will be on that path, and that path is the best for them, i'm chill.
And even if i did have a strong opinion before, i just believe what i want to believe now and have fun with the books and the fandom. Even if i dont participate, i like to observe fans interactions. The only thing that made me angry recently are usually PDs rsponse to the fandom, epecially to willemmy. I might have gone through some thinking about them too, but ultimately, my experience is my space, so, i either dgaf or care enough to respond to them or i'll ponder but then move on pretty quickly after. My stance made me feel like the experience of watching the interactions of this fandom so interesting because you all are such passionate people, and it reminds me of why i love being in a fandom and being a fan of literature. Might be because i'm an INTJ. I dont believe in MBTI and Cogn Fxs to a T but i can see even clearly now how it shaped how i consume and react to literature and what i like and dislike about them. Pretty fun and insightful! Ugghhh! I love discussions, so thank you KO for mobilising it here 😊 Thank you too for your fanfics that you wrote during your free time, and other things you came up with to make the fandom experience more fun and discursive here!
Hey!!
I looked through the mbti type links you posted and omfg, emmy is really most likely to be INFJ
I’m so happy at least one person checked them out and that I’m not completely off about Emmy. The most confusing thing for me going through the characters was that Kai and Emmy both came out as INFJs. Obviously every individual is going to present differently, and I do think both are different levels of unhealthy, but it still gave me a lot of pause. I might have to revisit Kai eventually (or hope someone who has read more on him and understand better will do it for me…).
i can understand where she came from, but her actions, words and thoughts are always so?? 🤣🫣 But not in a i-disagree-and-hate-this-character way but in a, ok-youre-kinda-relatable-but-why-did-you-choose-decision-a-instead-of-b-thats-not-rational
Same. I loved her character from the start, but it took me a few read throughs, and seeing thoughts from others, to see the different layers of her character, and even wrap my head around some of her decisions. There are, of course, some things I will never understand or agree with from Emory, but I’m not expected to, so it’s no big deal.
Ngl, i wished she bullied Will more so that she can actually lived up to his pointy-finger claims and allegations
I think I would have loved some more banter from them in the present; something that wasn’t layered in years of misunderstanding and secrets, that showed how they’re going to be together once all that is resolved. The little bit in the epilogue was a small sample, but I wanted a feast. But one of my main headcanons for Willemmy is that he cannot let his guard down around her, because the second she catches him slipping, there’s no holding back. What, did he think she was going to be nice just because he put a ring on it? Boy has to be ready for any verbal, sparing because she’s always ready to call him out on his bs.
What about you KO, can you relate to Emmy or any DN characters in any way? Idk if you've disclosed this before, and if you don't mind me asking, what's your MBTI type?
Your friend group sounds really cute! In some ways, I can relate to Emory. I feel like we’re both people watchers/observers. I can sit for hours and watch people just live, or even when I’m out with my friends, after a while, I’ll sit back and just watch and listen, with not much to say. It’s not that I’m not interested in what’s going on, I just like…observing. The difference might be that I’m content doing that because I’m charmed by the life happening around me, while Emmy sometimes felt like she was missing out, and left on the outside looking in. Either way, we've both got some fly-on-the-wall tendancies.
At the same time, both Emmy and I get lost in our own thoughts and ideas. When I was searching for Emmy’s MBTI and read the first line for INFJ, for some reason Emmy during homecoming night came to mind; when her and Will are on the ride, and she has the idea for a tree of chandeliers. She’s got one night of freedom with a boy who she really likes and who really, really likes her…and she can’t help but think about future projects. Because that’s how inspiration works when you’re a creative person. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, when it strikes, it consumes every thought. I can relate on that level. I felt so very seen in that scene. And I was especially swoony when she turned to tell Will her idea, and he was already looking at her, completely captivated by the look of wonderment and excitement at her idea that I imagine was on her face. That’s the dream. And it influences my willemmy greatly, because it tells me no matter what, Will is always going to support and be in awe of Emmy when she’s creating. Now that she’s got all the freedom to do that, it’s going to be a constant thing.
I believe I may have mentioned my MBTI type in the first MBTI post, but if I didn’t, I’m an INFP. However, all of my biggest influences in life have been TJs, so that does affect the way I go about doing things.
i just cant relate to her actions in general, but still find her caharcter fascinating and amusing to read about.
I mean… I wouldn’t make the same decisions as any of these characters. They and the situation they find themselves in are so over the top. That being said, even from a writer’s perspective, I would have taken the story and characters in different directions than PD. That might be one of the reasons I can’t bring myself to completely close the book on this, though. It’s so very different from what I would do, and sometimes it’s nice to be completely taken off the course you would naturally choose.
I knew of people who read nightfall and cried themselves to tears, but icant lie, i never experienced that. Onky through booktok and booktwt that i knew how many of them reacted very strongly to this book.
I get curious about people who had strong reactions as well. I assume it’s the moments of Emory’s abuse, but not to seem callous, they seemed very typical to me. I wasn’t ever overwhelmed with emotions reading any of the books. It’s not that I didn’t feel bad for what the characters were going through, because I did. I just… never needed to put the book down and process like I have with others.
i was Will, no matter what background or how privileged i have or was, cognitively, i dont think i would ever feel as comfortable as him to be putting blame on everyone and everything about my life without admitting my wrongs.
Will’s lack of accountability is definitely one of his main flaws throughout the series. It contrasts Kai’s crushing guilt over everything so well though. And I understand fully how people don’t feel sympathy for Will’s situation. He got himself there on his own. Even though Emmy signed that letter, he was long out of prison with a life set up for him that he nearly threw away just because he couldn’t not be Sad Boi #2 (of course, Damon gets first place because what else would we expect).
However, I loved high school Will and despite all common sense, will still feel for what happened to him, and those feelings have influenced my opinions on his story greatly. What can you do?
but i do lack sensitivity when it comes to things like this, so maybe that's why i never bought Will's bullshit, because what he said he did didnt match up with what he actually did. I'm sure his brothers grew up happy too, but they were never labelled as coddled or spoiled or irresponsible so there's only so mich of wealth and privilege that he can hide behind before it shows his true personality that he needed to fix.
It’s interesting that you bring up his brothers, because for me a big part of this series is that there’s something about this group people that doesn’t fit in with society as a whole, and that’s why they’re drawn together. The series speaks of the boys “finding” each other, as if they were searching for something they didn’t know they needed. I think Kai represents this the most because he tried so hard to hide it for so long. He also struggles with “its” existence, not because he doesn’t like it, but because he knows his parents won’t, and out of everyone, he respects them the most.
Anyway, all this is to say, Will’s brothers most likely don’t think or act like him. They don't hear the call of the void like he does. Unless my feelings about Thunder Bay are true, and there’s something in the water.
And while you may not be sensitive to some things, Will is, and it’s one of his main traits. Being sensitive also puts you at risk for getting hurt, which Will does frequently. Get hurt, I mean. But he still makes himself vulnerable, because that’s who he is. I think Will is aware that at some point, he can’t hide behind his privilege anymore. One of the reasons he went to Blackchurch – which was his idea from the start – was to put in the work where he’d only coasted before. Still, the whole thing was a mess after Emmy got there.
Maybe thats why his character annoys me very much. Maybe my opinion is also an outlier
Maybe out of the whole fandom, your opinion might be considered unpopular, but for those here, I think you’re right at home. More than a few have expressed the same thoughts. And isn’t that the point of fandom – to find people who will tolerate your wonky and out of the box opinions without trying to shame you?
Even though I sometimes act as though Will’s just a smol bean who never did anything wrong, I know he’s a highly flawed character with huge logical fallacies that annoy me to no end. Fangirling is a spectrum that I ride like a roller coaster.
Tumblr media
As much as there's a lot of criticism about Will or even damon on your account KO (and even booktwt), we're actually the outlier, we're probably the only group who thought this way, because if you check goodreads and storygraph, there were more criticisms of Emmy than Will, and even Damon
I could not believe how much criticism was thrown at Emmy when I first read NF! And all of it because she was mean to Will? He was so nice blah, blah, blah, how could she not love him? Wah, wah, wah,
Helllllo? Did you not see what she was going through?
Did you not see the nine-year gap between them seeing each other; a gap neither did anything to close?
I just couldn’t process any of the Emory hatred. I’m better now. I don’t get it by any means. Let her be defensive; she’s earned her claws and fangs and anger. That’s for Will and Emmy to work out. He doesn’t need you, the reader, coming to his defenses. He still loves her because she’s so difficult -
*deep breath* But I’m better now. I was not at all surprised by how many people loved Will and Damon. And we all know why.
I heard when Nightfall was released, so many people were against Emmy in PD's FB group and goodreads, and they wished Will ended up with Alex, and at first i thought it was joke, but when i filter through Goodreads reviews to the oldest, wow, it's really true!
I saw the goodreads reviews, and thought I was going to be in the minority of Emmy lovers (hence my bio). But I’ve also heard the opposite – that there were a lot of people who hated it because PD included so much of Alex and not enough of Emmy. I think it’s probably split evenly. And then PD says it’s the fandom’s fault of putting the girls at odds with each other. Please just admit the story could have been written differently to avoid this, and we’ll all go home, I swear. PD doesn’t even have to say they would do it differently. I’ll be fine if they just admit that it’s not our fault there’s an Alex camp and an Emory camp, the two can’t cross enemy lines.
if we do a poll, Winter and Rika then and even now are still in the #1 and #2 spots everywhere.
This is so funny because while I believe it’s true, but any time I do a poll here, Emmy is always the winner/in the winning group. It’s especially true when I was playing the voting game. It didn’t seem to matter what group Emmy was in, that’s the one people wanted to be in.
Even stans on twitter believe that Will's only fault was he loved too much... like bad Will in corrupt, hideaway and kill switch didnt exist? idk, i thought this opinion of theirs on him was dumb, because it dismiss his characterisation of being more accountable and responsible in his present and future
Very true. If Will accepts that he made mistakes that were not just “I loved her too much” then…that’s what happened?
He messed up. He’s not a perfect and wholly good, sweet little angel boy that did not wrong but care too much. It’s okay to admit that he was immature and careless and blinded by privilege and pride (I’m not going to touch on the criminal things because as readers, we’re supposed to find those things cool and hot, so…).
It's okay to admit that his character changed! That’s what a character is supposed to do.
it's a fan space, anybody can think whatever they want. I just dont have to agree and engage with them.
Honestly, the best fandom rule you can have for yourself. I highly recommend it. And thank you for saying it.
a lot of things that people hate or were mad about nightfall (and theyre valid things to be mad about), i'm mostly indifferent about them.
Just... this whole paragraph. I was mad about the lack of Emmy when I finished NF. And I have my moments now, of course, when I’m thinking about something specific and putting pieces together that I might get upset about a realization or something. Realizing a character did something out of line, or seeing yet another plot hole…
But this has never ruined my day. I’ve never been unable to move on or talk about something else with my friends. It’s just interesting to me.
Anyway, willemmy will always be happy to me. That’s just how it is. We can go back and forth over whether Will "deserves" it but I just don't really care if he "deserves" it or not. I'm happier this way.
i just believe what i want to believe now and have fun with the books and the fandom. Even if i dont participate, i like to observe fans interactions... because you all are such passionate people, and it reminds me of why i love being in a fandom and being a fan of literature.
This is it! This is the reason being in fandom is so interesting. It’s a hobby, and it should just be a fun time to sit and chat about things that don’t really matter with people who also like the same things. I mean, I know hobbies have different levels of intensity, but this really should just be chill.
I also think of MBTI as more of a party game than anything else. It’s fun to sit around and ask those questions and discuss your results. It doesn’t really mean anything more than that.
I love discussions, so thank you KO for mobilising it here 😊 Thank you too for your fanfics that you wrote during your free time, and other things you came up with to make the fandom experience more fun and discursive here!
You’re so very welcome! But a bigger thank you goes to you and everyone else who has ever submitted an ask or message. Honestly, this blog would be nothing without them.

SO TRUE. Stan and Cartman are a lot similar than Kyle and Stan surprisingly. If I had to pair characters based on how similar they are in regards to cognitive functions, it would definitely be “Stan (ISFP) / Cartman (ENTJ)”, “Kyle (INFJ) / Wendy (ENFJ)”, “Cartman (ENTJ) / Clyde (ESFP)”, “Kyle (INFJ) / Kenny (ISTP)”, etc.
Not saying these dynamics prove that these characters are carbon copies of each other, but it shows both characters have similar methods of perceiving and judging things.
I hope you don’t mind me adding the cognitive functions aspect to this post 😭 I am planning on making a long post on how Stan and Cartman are similar, cognitive-function wise, but it’s still waaaay low on my to-do list lmao but I just thought it’d be fun to add onto what you have said so far.
For context, I believe Stan is an ISFP while Cartman is an ENTJ. Letter-wise, these two types are the exact opposite of each other, but function-wise, they share the exact same functions but in reverse order! Basically, if you read the function stack of an ISFP backwards, it would be the function stack of an ENTJ.
ISFP: Fi > Se > Ni > Te
ENTJ: Te > Ni > Se > Fi
This means that Stan’s greatest strength is Cartman’s weakest link while Cartman’s greatest strength is Stan’s weakest link. I’m not trying to praise Cartman here, but cognitive functions can sort of help us analyze his character objectively. He has traits in him that are well-developed, but unfortunately he uses them for immoral, unhealthy reasons.
SIMILARITIES:
Both Stan and Cartman can be brutally honest if you conflict with their morals, feelings or values (Unhealthy (?) Fi & Te).
Stan: Yeah, hi. Um, you should k*ll yourself? I said, you should k*ll yourself? What you do is sort of, unjustifiable? And you know it's unjustifiable? And you don't care? You're the definition of evil? K*ll yourself? I just read that the day shopping networks make most of their money is on the day seniors pick up Social Security checks? K*ll yourself. I don't care what happens to me, I care about my grandfather, you morally empty corrupted maggot! Nono, uh it doesn't matter what price you put on anything! Your only chance to right the wrongs you've done, and repay all the elderly people whose lives you've destroyed, is to k*ll yourself. I'm not joking. [pause] Do it. – Cash for Gold
Cartman: Excuse me. Excuse me! Hey assholes! You guys know that everyone thinks you're total f*gs, right? You know, when people like you drive down the street with your unnecessarily loud motorcycles thinking you're all cool. Everyone is actually laughing at you and calling you pathetic f*ggots. You do realize this, right? (…) No no, no, nobody is intimidated, actually. Everyone realizes that people who are so needy for attention they need to dress up and be as loud as possible are you guys and sixteen-year-old girls! Just wanted to let you know, you're fuckin' f*gs. – The F Word
Both Stan and Cartman value solitude and are individualistic (Fi).
Cartman: Another day inside, don't have to do a thing. I love you, social distancing. No one's around, no one's talking to me. Social distancing, I'm free! – The Pandemic Special
Cartman: No no! I'm buying it to keep people out! Don't you see? Forever it has been my dream to have my very own theme park, so that I could be alone in it, all day, every day. – Cartmanland
Stan: And we were like, "Others? We have to do this with other people? Narrator (talking about Stan): The boys have just made a sobering discovery. For ten year old Stan Marsh, the realization that he will be with a tour group has caused his adrenal glands to slow down. The average human acts a certain way when surrounded by friends and family. But, in a tour group, the brain has to work overtime, acting nice and pretending to care about people on the tour. Woman (to Stan): Hey, how are you? Stan (mimicking): Good. How are you? – I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining
Both Stan and Cartman are indeed result-oriented leaders that unify people to get things done (Te). I also agree with you that Stan’s a reluctant leader compared to Cartman, and it could also be tied down to him having Inferior Te as well.
Stan: Whale Whores, Fun with Veal, Cherokee Hair Tampons, Butterballs, etc.
Cartman: Ginger Kids, The Passion of the Jew, The List, Toilet Paper, and so much more it’s impossible to list them all
Fun Fact: Both have also been borderline cult leaders
Both Stan and Cartman would sometimes lie or secretly do immoral things to get what they want (Unhealthy Te).
Stan: Aww, it wants a credit card number. Cartman: Do you wanna use your mom's or my mom's? Stan: Let's do your mom's. – The Scoots
Cartman: That is 100% untrue. Mr. Mackey: M'kay, well someone in this school is a little turd burglar, and I want some answers! Stan: How can we answer that to which we have no knowledge Cartman: Very nice, very nice. – Turd Burglars
Both Stan and Cartman have troubles with vulnerability and are awkward with feelings in general (Te).
Nelson: Yeah, it's a pretty bad time for me, coach. I'm only five and I'm dying. [Stan walks up to him] Coach, what's it like when you die? Stan: Wugh, I'm not sure. I would... think that... it's a lot like it was before you were born? Nelson: How come I have to die now Stan: Ogh. Nelson: I mean, how come I don't get to grow up? Stan: Goddammit, dude, I don't know. Nelson: I'm sorry. Stan: No, what I mean is, nobody really knows, see? But everyone does it. I mean, it's not like everyone else gets to live and only you have to die. Everyone's gonna die. (Awkwardly) You feel better now? Nelson: I think so. Stan: Okay, great. Look, I-I gotta get to the stadium, but uh... hang in there? All right? [gives him a thumbs up and walks away] – Stanley’s Cup
Sharon: I know this has all been really hard on you, Stanley. Do you wanna talk about it? Stan: No, I'm fine, Mom! You know, I'm strong. I'm just worried about how this is all affecting weaker kids like, you know, like Butters. – The Pandemic Special
Cartman: [demoralized] You don't have to say anything. I know how it is. I'm no longer the cool kid. Now you all think I'm a fahahahahahag. [begins to wail] My school life is over 'cause now all the guys don't think I'm coooohoohoohoohoohooooool. [wails some more] Stan: Dude, we never thought you were cool. Cartman: That's not true! You're just saying that! Kyle: No, really. We've always thought you suck. Jimmy: Yeah, nothing's changed. Our opinion of you can't possible go any lower. Cartman: You're all just saying that to make me feel better – Breast Cancer Awareness
Cartman: Wendy, could I talk to you for a second? Wendy: What?! Cartman: [almost whispering] Wendy, I want to apologize, and, um, tell you that- Wendy: What? Cartman: [takes her aside and whispers] I want to apologize, and tell you that... I'm sorry for what I said. Okay? It was wrong of me, and I promise you that it won't happen again. I don't wanna fight you after school, all right? So, I'm sorry. Wendy: If you're really sorry, you can say it in front of everyone! Cartman: [takes her aside further and whispers] Actually, I was thinking... let's just keep this between us. I was wrong to make fun of breast cancer, and I'm very remorsefulness. Wendy: No! If you're really sorry, and you wanna apologize to me, then do it in front of everyone. Cartman: [seeing the unwanted attention] Pfft, apologize?! [begins to strike poses] That's not what I said, you dumb bitch. Heheh, heheh. Wendy: Yes, you did! You just stood there and said you apologize and you don't want to fight! Cartman: Oh, Wendy, such a desperate attempt to get out of it. These students are a little too smart to see you're just making excuses not to fight me. Wendy: I don't want an excuse! I'm going to beat the fucking shit out of you! Cartman: [trying to put up a front] Ohhh, ahhhh... That's funny. You're gonna die, you lesbo. [Wendy goes back to her locker, the other kids go their separate ways. Wendy shuts her locker door and Cartman races up to her again. He whispers] Wendy, seriously though, I do want to apologize. I'm really sorry and I don't think we should fight – Breast Cancer Awareness
Stan: How come you couldn't just go home, dude? That's all we had to do! Kyle: Stan! What the fuck?! Stan: It was all planned out! Kyle: You knew this whole time? Why? Stan: Because it was me. I'm the one who took a dump in the urinal. Kyle: [backs away a bit] What?? Stan: The stalls were full and I didn't wanna miss recess! I didn't think it would turn into such a big deal! Kyle: So you blamed the government? – The Mystery of the Urinal Deuce
Kyle: Hey. Do you live here? Blanket: Yeah, I just moved here with my dad. Are you gonna be my new friends? Cartman: Pfft no. – The Jeffersons
Kyle: Oh, God. [grabs his head and stumbles away, then falls on all fours] Wuh. Aah. [waves his hand at Stan and Kenny] Get out of here! Stan: [flatly] Why? – It’s A Jersey Thing
Both Stan and Cartman can be easily entrapped by tunnel vision (Ni) or be impulsive in their decision-making (Unhealthy Se).
Randy: You're in big trouble, Stanley! Can you explain to us how you managed to spend $489 on a mobile app?! [whips out a phone bill. Sharon's arms are crossed] Stan: I'm sorry. I didn't realize I spent that much. Randy: You didn't realize! What are "Canadian coins"? Stan: You buy Canadian coins so you have Canadough. Randy: Stan, just because I make a good living with my music doesn't mean you can go blow it all on Canadough! Stan: I'll pay you back for it, okay?! Randy: How?! Stan: I don't know, I'll figure it out! Jesus Christ – Freemium Isn’t Free
Princess Victoria: [sternly] The numbers we put up were height differentials. [Cartman has no reply to this] Cartman: What?Princess Victoria: We thought it would be fun to put up how much each student has grown in height since their physical last year. You grew 1.2 inches. Cartman: Those weren't our dick sizes? Princess Victoria: Why would we publish the lengths of our students' private parts? Cartman: I don't know! Why would you?! Princess Victoria: We didn't! Cartman: [gets off the chair and walks off] Aw crap! You mean everyone knows my wiener is smaller than everyone else's because of me?! Princess Victoria: This is exactly the kind of thing we are always talking about, Eric. You get angry about something, you don't think, and you cause bad things to happen. This time you've done it to yourself! Cartman: Oh God. Why couldn't I have just taken a minute to think about it? – TMI
Both Stan and Cartman can intuitively guess people’s actions with ease. (Ni)
Cartman: The Entire Episode of Scott Tenorman Must Die
Stan: The Entire Episode of The Biggest Douche in the Universe
Both Stan and Cartman need concrete evidence to believe in an argument. They are pragmatic realists. (Se + Te)
Stan: No, it's a matter of logic! If you're gonna say things that have been proven wrong, like that the first man and woman lived in Missouri, and that Native Americans came from Jerusalem, then you'd better have something to back it up. All you've got are a bunch of stories about some asswipe who read plates nobody ever saw out of a hat, and then couldn't do it again when the translations were hidden! – All About Mormons
Cartman: Look, you guys have a right to say and believe whatever you want, okay? But what you believe is really stupid. – The Vaccination Special
Both Stan and Cartman like hearing gossip about others, until it affects them personally (Unhealthy Fi & Te)
Craig: Haha, Butters got asked out by a fat girl. Clyde: At least she didn't try to sit on him. [the other boys at the table laugh, except Cartman] Cartman: You guys, come on. That's not kewl. You shouldn't rip on her because she's fat. You should rip on her 'cause she's ugly. Okay? She looks like someone hit her in the face with a hot shovel, and that's why she sucks, alright – The Hobbit
Stan: Dude, check it out! Eavesdropper found an e-mail from Jenny Simons' boyfriend calling her "soft-serve Simon." Kyle: That's not funny. Craig: Hey, here's a post about Token: "Token Black's Private Gym Photos" [laughs] Kyle: [rolls his eyes] I'm not looking at that! Stan: Come on, dude, it's pretty funny! Kyle: It wouldn't be funny if that Web site posted something about you! Stan: I wouldn't care. Craig: Exclusive: Stan Marsh thinks Elise Thompson has a hot butt crack. Stan: What? Craig: "In an email sent yesterday to KENNY McCormick, Stan Marsh wrote 'Dude, you should have been in PE today. Elise Thompson's butt crack was totally showing.' He went on to call her butt crack quote 'nice' and that the whole experience was quote 'pretty awesome'. (…) Stan: This is an issue of trust and privacy! We have to all work together to put an end to Eavesdropper once and for all! [The others present are Red, Kenny, Butters, Craig (looking at his iPhone), Wendy, Kyle, Bebe, and Token. Kyle raises his hand] Yes, Kyle. Kyle: So, just to be completely clear, now it isn't funny, right? – Bass to Mouth
Both Stan and Cartman have trouble letting things go. (Fi)
Cartman: The Entire Episode of 1%
Stan: The Entire Episode of Insheepton
DIFFERENCES:
Cartman is willing to betray his morals to get what he wants (Inferior Fi). Stan isn’t (Dominant Fi).
Stan: Yeah, you don't even know anything about Christianity. Cartman: I know enough to exploit it. – Christian Hard Rock
Stan: And uh, oh, [hopeful faces look back at him] ...I ...I can't do this. Look, everybody, we're all looking for answer, you know. We all want to understand who we are and where we come from, but... sometimes we want to know the answers so badly that we... believe just about anything. [takes off his laurel] I'm not the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard. And... Scientology is just a big fat global scam – Trapped in the Closet
Stan’s determination is sometimes really good but sometimes really flimsy (Inferior Te). Cartman’s work ethic is much more consistent. (Dominant Te)
Stan: I can't let Wendy go. This whole time I've been having my friends do all the talking for me. It's time I took control! [turns and opens one of the doors] Kyle: What are you doing? Stan: Something I should have done a long time ago. [walks out the door and towards the front door of Bebe’s house] Bebe, you need to go talk to Wendy for me right now! [Bebe rolls her eyes and sighs] All this time I've been trying to have my friends do all the talking for me! Now I realize I need her friends to do it! Tell her I love her! Bebe: Stan, why don't you show her you love her? If you really want Wendy back, try doing the most romantic thing you can think of. Stan: [thinks] Okay, so what's the most romantic thing I can think of? – Raisins
Stan is emotionally sensitive (Dominant Fi). Cartman isn’t. (Inferior Fi)
Cartman: You see guys, it all worked itself out. Tadow, tadow, how you like me now? Feel a little silly now, Kyle? Tadow, how you like me now? Kyle: I still feel bad, Cartman Cartman: What? Hu- How can you feel bad? Somebody else is gonna pay for our crime. Kyle: Yeah. That makes it even worse. Cartman: Bu... ...eh... Kyle, you don't seem to understand. We're we're not gonna get punished for this. Ever. Kyle: I know. Cartman: So... so then, how can you feel bad? Stan: He feels guilty for doing it and for letting someone else pay for it. Cartman: ...But he's not gonna get in trouble. Stan: It doesn't matter if you get in trouble of not, you can still feel bad. [to Kyle] I think you're right, Kyle. Maybe we should confess. Kenny: (Yeah, maybe we should.) Cartman: What?? Eh... [tries to be upbeat] hey you guys! There's nothing to feel bad about! We're, we're off scot-free! Kyle: We feel bad for other people. Cartman: [looks at the other boys in disbelief] For oth-er... [winces] Uh. Oww. ...Ih ...Ih, ih, is it that ...you think you might get in trouble later? Stan: Tomorrow in school we'll all tell the teacher it was us, and let her decide what to do. [points an accusing finger at Cartman] And Cartman, if you had any thread of a conscience at all, you'll do the same! [He, Kyle, and Kenny leave] Cartman: Eh buh... eh... eh... Freakin' weirdos, man – Toilet Paper
Cartman is better at coaching people than Stan. (Dominant Te vs. Inferior Te)
Cartman: The Entire Episode of Eek, A Penis
Stan: The Entire Episode of Stanley’s Cup
Cartman likes planning ahead (Ni > Se). Stan doesn’t. (Se > Ni)
OTHER FUN SPECULATIONS (HEADCANONS):
Stan and Cartman also face gender identity and orientation issues. Both have had committed explorations and experimentations in terms of their gender. For Stan, it’s The Cissy. For Cartman, it’s whenever he purposefully cross-dresses, especially for fun. Both have also had subtle hints that neither of them are fully straight.
so how are stan and cartman similar lmao
Okay so...I hate Cartman and love Stan, and relate least to Cartman and most to Stan. So this is kind of a compare/contrast thing instead of just comparing them, and it's not a Cartman-sympathy post.
I'm also not going to focus too much on the cognitive function element and take away from the post that inspired this question.
So with THAT out of the way.
-"Cartman is Stan but fat". This is a pretty popular quote from Trey. Specifically it comes to voicing Cartman, but there's SOMETHING to it when it comes to his personality, if you cut out the fatphobia part of it. Stan is based on Trey. Stan's family is at least loosely based on Trey's family. But Liane is ALSO based on Trey's mom, specifically when it comes to having treats around the house. To THAT end, Cartman is Stan but indulged and babied instead of forced into self sufficiency and made to face the consequences of his actions.
-Cartman is everyone's 'bad thoughts they can't voice'. Basically the role of Cartman is to be a person without filter, unchecked by polite society. He has the bad traits of honestly like every single character. He brings out the worst in Stan. But he ALSO brings out the worst in Kyle by appealing to HIS worst traits, like CBAA, which is something that Stan is absolutely appalled by and turns down without a second thought. And it is worth noting that BOTH Stan and Kyle feel bad about the bad side that Cartman brings out in them...because they're people with consciences.
-Leadership: There's a lot of debate over who is more the leader in the gang of four. Honestly it's both Stan and Cartman. They alternate this role quite a bit, or BOTH take up this role and are instead pitted against each other. Both are externally validated when they are in leadership roles. They are externally validated in different ways, however. Cartman likes the attention from people because he likes being in a position of control. He likes being able to manipulate people. He likes having the power to get people to do what he wants in his best interests. Stan is slightly more of a reluctant leader role; as I mentioned in a few other posts, when Stan's playing in a game he doesn't take the leader role because it's not fun for him. Cartman continues to take the leadership position because it is fun for him to boss other people around. Stan is externally validated by doing what he feels are in the best interests of the people he's serving MOST of the time. He's more likely on a whole to get fucked over helping people than he is to fuck people over by doing what he wants over helping the general population.
When Stan is most like Cartman in leadership roles, being self-serving or being willing to hide bad things he's done it's for one of two reasons: 1. He is ashamed of his bad behavior and doesn't want other people to find out and think he's a bad person. Cartman is NOT ashamed of the bad behavior and doesn't want people to find out because it will be a pain in his ass and people will be annoying about it/he'll have to face the consequences. Like The Day Before The Day After Tomorrow, Stan IS notably worried about the people, and he DOES want to make sure they are safe, but he is scared because he wants to be a good person, compared to Cartman who doesn't gaf about people getting hurt and annoyed that Stan feels bad about it but KNOWS that Stan is worried about what people think and is thereby swayed by shame.
Or 2. Stan has been repeatedly fucked over by the town and doesn't care about them anymore because he's given enough. Markedly this happens most egregiously after he's been slapped with cynicism/depression and is less able to handle himself emotionally. Manbearpig returning makes Stan take a TERRIBLE deal for the town after he fights tooth and nail to get things settled well for them, because they aren't willing to give up basic things. Like the deal he takes is staggeringly bad because he's had enough and doesn't want to fight anymore. Likewise wants to take vaccines for himself because the town is continuously shoving their needs aside. In both cases, Stan is worried for his own well-being (states that one of the kids Manbearpig kills looks like him, which...I mean the kid's blond Stan but FINE, and is mentally snapping under the pressure of not being able to have in-person schooling), but does let it take at least a slight back burner to helping the town as a whole rather than just himself until it's clear that they don't appreciate what he's doing.
-Shame. Both Cartman and Stan operate with shame. Now Cartman is shameless i.e. he's not hiding things because he feels bad about them, but because he still doesn't want to face the consequences. But he DOES shame people into doing what he wants. Stan is VERY shame-based, and in fact when he goes along with Cartman it's usually because he's ashamed of his actions and is talked into hiding them. But Stan also gets other people to do the more objective 'right' thing through shame, by thinking that it makes them a bad person if they don't do it.

do you have an advise for someone that always get infp and infj? like i always get one of them and it pretty equal which means i can’t "take” the one that i get more often if you know what i mean lmao 😅
read about it!! an infp and an infj don’t share the same cognitive functions! infp’s main cognitive functions are Fi Ne Si Te whereas infj’s cognitive functions are Ni Fe Ti Se. if you don’t understand it, that is normal i myself am starting to understand all of this but basically just write the mbti type with “cognitive functions” and read until you know what fits the most :D 🖤
basic advice i know but you know yourself better than anyone!

OK so what type do you think I am in the end?
Hey! I’m going to post your whole response here and delete the other asks from the blog.
A. What kinds of things do you remember easily and what do you forget?
I remember very easily anything that interests me. I easily forget anything that doesn’t. I also tend to forget where I’ve placed my phone, money, etc.
B. What kind of people do you feel most comfortable around? What kind of people make you feel awkward or uncomfortable? What kind of people annoy you the most?
People who force me to openly express my emotions make me feel awkward or uncomfortable. I usually get annoyed by people who cannot see the bigger picture, who are close minded or superstitious, people who complain instead of searching for solutions to their problems. I guess anyone who doesn’t fall into those two categories is ok.
C. How do you usually handle conflict and the idea of conflict?
I handle conflict and the idea of conflict very well.
D. What kinds of things do you tend to notice in your surroundings/in others? What do you more often seem to miss?
I tend not to realise if people are being serious or not in familial settings.. I tend to miss whether or not I make people uncomfortable by pushing too hard on receiving answers concerning certain things. I tend to miss if they’re about to cry because of something they said I’ve done…? (I find it irrational to cry over something like this tho????)
E. How often are you bored? What do you do, if anything, to keep yourself from getting bored?
I always have something to do. How can I be bored when there are so many books waiting to be read, so many games waiting to be played, so many interesting topics I can search about, SO MANY THINGS I COULD LEARN ABOUT?
F. What things energize you? What things could you do all day? What do you do to relax? What stresses you out? What do you consider a waste of time?
I get PUMPED UP when I can think about strategies, plans, solutions to different problems, different outcomes, etc. Guess I could sleep all day if i was really tired.. I don’t know.. I could do anything that interests me for the whole day lmao. In order to relax I just remind myself how little humans are compared to the whole Universe and how meaningless everything is when we are just a simple dot on the infinite axis of time. I guess I hate it when people tell me what to do without telling me why, while I’m forced to do whatever i’m being told to do. It’s a waste of time to do anything that doesn’t interest you or benefit you in any way.
Conclusion
Personally, and based only on this, you seem like an INTJ to me. Here’s why.
Dominant Ni: Thinking about the nature of the universe it one of the most Ni things you can do. You’re good at analysis and have a very active imagination that can cause you to worry and stress a lot. You are very good at  You have a lot of faith in your ability to do these things.
Auxiliary Te: You enjoy being productive and learning and things that interest you. When it comes down to it, you will make the decision that makes the most sense logically. You have people who are illogical, and always want to know what it going on. You are also very independent.
Tertiary Fi: You are very private about your feelings. It is hard for you to empathize with people who you can not understand or relate to in some way. When you do have feelings(which does happen; don’t let tumblr tell you otherwise), they are very personal. You don’t like to share them with everybody. They are also deeply rooted in your experiences. You have a tendency to have a lot of feelings towards people you know very well, and very few towards those you don’t.
Inferior Se: It is hard for you to properly live in the moment and you tend to tune out/not notice your surroundings, although you probably enjoy sensory activities like eating and physical contact (although only with people you are incredibly close with, usually romantically). You might also enjoy the idea of having a lot of money more than most people, and you also might find it worth it to spend more money on things than your ISTJ counterparts.
If INTJ does not seem right to you, I would also look at INFJ, INTP, and ISTJ(listed in order of how likely I think it is that you are that type). Anywho, hope this helped!

@emeraldlatias I’m Replying to you here so i don’t make a HUGE wall of text when reblogging my ask...
Thanks for the input! This was an interesting read, but tbh I still would argue with most of your typings.
For Squall, I still find him a heavy Ni user, just cause he doesn’t apparently plan ahead it doesn’t mean he’s not an NJ (this feels like bad use of Te), he’s merely a teenager really close to enter adulthood and is struggling with the same problems just like everyone that age, he is cold, arrogant, pushes everyone away from him, this is very typical immature INTJ behaviour, thinking he can do everything by himself, being detached, and almost living completely in his head. His inner monologues feel Very Ni-Fi also, and he doesn’t have much concern for duty, responsibility and being of help to a community, he was always difficult to work with, and resented assuming leadership, even though he is the first to ensure that what is necessary gets done (all sounds very Ni-Te, capable of carrying out duties but resents it). He is capable and assumes responsibility, but in a very forceful manner, he even dislikes it when he is appointed commander of Balamb Garden, and also when ppl start giving him orders he becomes frustrated as well (this is near opposite of Si, and tertiary Fi acting up taking things too personally), he’s very anti-social. Overall he is heavily independent (a very big INTJ trait) and I simply don’t see inferior Ne in him at all, a Si-dom would do their utmost to reject Ne in order to protect their ego-image as a “careful, reliable, and thoughtful” person, and this isn’t what Squall does at all.
For Rinoa, this one I could agree with you, she is definitely a EXFJ and the inferior Ti is clear, but to me she felt more Ni-Se, rather than Si-Ne. Like Squall she is another struggling teenager, she is very stubborn, naive, often does what she wants and acts in a rebellious manner (particularly towards her father) and she is quite impulsive, acting without thinking and often getting in trouble (this feels like Se acting up, ignoring Ni and inferior Ti manifesting itself). A function like Si is not impulsive nor is Ne (in a big way) when tertiary or inferior, Rinoa gets often too caught up in the moment (rather than in the past) which even makes her look like a xxxP type, but this is ENFJ’s Se acting up (whom are sometimes even confused with ESFPs). Like u said, she’s an ideas person, u can even see her in the Balamb Garden library (reading books?) when she’s not with the party, but i still find it she has Ni, rather than Si. Ni itself is about seeing future outcomes, and planning based on those visions would come with Fe/Te, but since she has Fe she does not plan with facts or logic, but rather the emotions of others, values, ethics etc… this in exchange shows her poor Ti and how she failed to carry out plans correctly (like in the Train with the president). She could easily be an ENFJ just like ESFJ, not really far off the mark.
Laguna… this is one I can also agree with being ENFP cause I debated him being ENFP too. What made me decide go for ESFJ however was how much he felt like a Fe-dom user, he felt slightly like Rinoa and could have gone for ENFJ too but that didn’t seem right, it felt like he had the Si&Ne pair instead. He feels like a direct opposite of Squall, (having INTJ and ESFJ in mind, they don’t share any common functions and do everything differently). Unlike the rest of the cast he is older, 22 in flashbacks and 44 in the main story, so he is gonna have a more balanced functional stack there and looks like a mature ESFJ. In the flashbacks he is awful at following up to plans requiring external consideration of facts, logic and reason (much like Rinoa, another Ti inferior user), he thinks he is going well with his course of action but then he realises he is mistaken and clueless as to what to do (much to the frustration of his comrades) however he thinks about others and finds his way to get out of those situations, has this big concern for external harmony so I couldn’t help but Type ESFJ. His style of combat also feels like relying on past experience heavily, i didn’t feel like he was Si inferior but I can see why you type him as and ENFP and can agree with that too.
Quistis: Classic overachiever could very well relate to INFJ, specially to reaffirm that she is smart (Ni). Ni does not mean intelligence, but it does bring a degree of “know it all” confidence to assert themselves quietly (in the case of an INFJ). We can agree she uses secondary Fe and tertiary Ti, however Se seems more befitting as inferior, she is not impulsive at all and has a very stoic, composed aura (ISFJs would a appear more warm, accommodating and serene). Ne inferior would make the Si-dom not apt to radical or risky thought/behavior, but this isn’t a problem for Quists (cause she has Ni). She does not go wild, but she can think differently (plus she is not stuck on the past, more like on ideas and the feelings she has about others). Also I don’t see how doubting self-worth/talent and seeking out others to listen is a Si-Fe and Inferior Ne trait, this is something all types can experience and is not particular to ISFJ behaviour. As for what happened in Deling City, she was stressed and conflicted to act efficiently, this a mistake a normal INFJ could make cause they value external harmony a lot, Ti acting up blocking the insight of Ni can make the INFJ make this mistake. You seem to be very biased with Ni-users thinking they are very strict planners who follow up through their plans no matter what but the rest of the functions can bring information Ni hasn’t taken and make them doubt themselves/ act in irrational ways / change their course of action abruptly. Ni gives you visions and insights, and the functions that build the plans using this information is Te and Fe, not Ni.
Seifer being ESFP is the one i have most conflict with (even ESTP would have been more accurate), his bullying tendencies seem to manifest from inferior Fi, he is the typical Te-dom bully who’s very conflicted internally and takes out his anger on others to compensate. He is rude and has been picking on other kids since young (ESFPs bully others if they are getting in the way of their fun, Seifer however does not seem worried about this at all). He also has many parallels with Squall being both TJs, saying he is ESFP contrasts a lot with him, and both are fighting to prove their superiority. The only Se I would see in him is how impulsive he can get, defies authority figures and considers that others should defer to taking orders from him, but again this is Te and inferior Fi acting up, he loves being boss and having others do what he wants. Also Being unable to let go of the Romantic Dream™  is inferior Fi and Te acting up, he has extreme loyalty to Edea and his actions feel very Si paired with Te. Plus he is the head of the disciplinary committee, this screams Te, he is responsible and has no trouble performing tasks (unless he is internal conflicts start acting up).
Overall I wasn’t really off the mark with my typings (it was mostly Ni-Si differences) and Selphie and maybe Laguna are the only ones I can see being mistyped but not the rest. But tbh I can accept everyone has different perceptions on each character’s type and I find it difficult for everyone to agree with them so lmao, If you have more to say i’ll gladly listen! It’s fun discussing type theory, but i’ll leave my typings the way they are lmao.
