I have such a complicated relationship with my bed.

I work from my bed.

I eat in my bed.

I spend leisure and intimate time with my partner in my bed.

I rest in my bed.

I sleep in my bed.

I spend most of my time in my bed. And I know that isn't the best for my brain and my habits. But I have no other option. I literally have to spend most of my time lying down because I cannot physically stay upright in my wheelchair or other chairs for long periods without ending up even more bedbound.

Even with all of the medications. And physical therapy. And special supplements. And cushions. And braces.

That is my reality. And I sometimes get to a point where I'm just really fucking tired of it.

Louis offers him unwavering love, acceptance and the one thing he needs but is reluctant to ask for; permission to bite for the sake of comfort and safety seeking.

He applied the tiniest amount of pressure, enough for Louis to stop breathing all together, and licked the vein. He kissed it and pulled away from Louis completely. or, Louis has a biting kink and the only person he thinks can fulfill it is his vampire friend, Harry.

Vampires were charming, fashionable, mysterious. Vampires drank synth or donated blood, played nice with humans, didn’t bite anymore. Vampires were nice, non-threatening. What a load of bullshit. (Or, in a world where vamps have come out of the coffin, vampire Harry's tired to play nice with food, and gets obsessed with human Louis, fresh-faced and captivating.)

My room is the most cluttered hoard of random trinkets and so forth you have ever seen. It is glorious and if anyone wants to clean it up or remove any of it to elsewhere they will have to approach like a knight attempting a dragon-slaying

On my first day in Germany I got to my hotel and I couldn't get the lights to turn on. And I was like "Eh, fuck it, I'll just take a shower in the dark." And then the shower wouldn't get hot. I waited and waited and it stayed ice cold.

So I go down to the front desk and I'm like "My lights won't turn on and my shower won't get hot" so they send this guy up with me. We get into the room and I flick the switch and nothing happens so I'm like "See?"

And he goes "You must put your card in the slot."

"I... what? I have to put my room card in the light switch?"

"Of course!"

Now I have been in many hotels in the US and never encountered this concept, but apparently it was something most of their guests already knew. So I'm looking like a fool at this point. I feel like an idiot. The dude is fully grinning at me. I put the card in the slot and voila, the light turns on.

Then he's like "Ok, let's see if the shower works. You know you must wait for the hot water?" and I just know he's thinking I'm an idiot who also can't use a shower. This stupid American can't wait for the hot water! She can't even use a light switch or a shower!

And I guess he was distracted by these thoughts of my stupidity, because this dude fully stepped into the shower. In his nice dress shirt and slacks. He just. Gets into the shower.

And turns it on.
