OK one thing that I was thinking about why the mage!viktor didn't help jayce in the in the of the world au( episode 7) is that if he helped him, jayce wouldn't get the point. There are countless possibilities, and even there's some aus that even though mage still didn't help him, he still trusted viktor and didn't kill him( maybe if he talked first then blasted that damn hammer it would be different but Idk).

So I guess the reason of not helping jayce is that if he helped him, after he got back to his original universe, he would fight back to prove that viktor still had some sense of reality in him.

Jayce always loved and admired Viktor for who he was. But not seeing Viktor’s disabilities the way Viktor and a lot of Piltover did meant he struggled to understand and empathize with those parts of Viktor’s feelings.

That’s why Jayce’s own experiences with disability from the apocalypse dimension were so important. Not because he ever looked down on Viktor for them but because he needed to emphasize with Viktor’s frustration, isolation and self-hatred to really be able to relate to him on a level he could understand why Viktor struggled to accept his own worth.

The rune absorbed them, and they were assumed dead. As a matter of fact, Viktor and Jayce expected themselves to die. But it would seem that after absorbing them, it chose to cast them out. Now, all that's left for them to do is pick up the pieces of the lives they thought they'd abandoned to the arcane.
