You have said many times now that the tolkien fandom has some sort of "beef" with you. What's that all about? Is it because of toxic anons? Too few interactions with your posts?

It makes me sad because nobody is talking bad about you, it's the contrary. I've only seen good things said about you. But it does seems like you are isolating yourself from fandom spaces relevant to your interests because of it and that is sad. You are very appreciated!

Well, firstly, I say this because of the toxic anons that I get but choose not to publish. I refuse to give them the time of day. I don't know if it's one person sending them all or what, but it just has become very tiring when you keep getting told your ship and ocs are trash and there are cliques talking bad about you in private DMs.

Sometimes, i feel the fandom is biased, and the lack of interaction when I am also a Tolkien OC artist seems...odd. Sometimes, I don't get follows back when we love and draw the same content, and that's honestly alright, but sometimes it feels like I'm being avoided. Posting stuff in a server doesn't help much either. Not to mention, there are people who i was once friends with in the fandom that were toxic in the end and talked some shit and broke my trust, so dabblin in servers has been less of a thing for me.

All that stuff just adds up and gives me the vibe that people think I'm stuck up or whatever it is. I have no idea. I'm well aware there is a side where people are amazing and make fandoms fun. That's why I even continue half the time. I'm relieved to know I'm at least somewhat appreciated. Sorry if this sounds selfish. I'm obsessed with my ocs and stories and want to share them, that's all.

there's been NUMEROUS online creators who were recognized by entertainment industry workers BECAUSE they made tv quality content & even full stop blockbuster quality content.

bo burnham started on youtube & is now one of the most wellknown & loved standup comedians of our generation, with numerous netflix specials & even a movie he wrote & directed under his belt.

the try guys, fellow ex-buzzfeed employees, had their own tv specials on food network (based off their youtube shows, btw) & a documentary made about them as well

rosanna pansino has also been on numerous food network shows both as a host & a judge

quinta brunsun, another fellow ex-buzzfeed employee, went on to create her own whole ass sitcom that has been highly praised

matpat cameo'd in the fnaf movie because of his theories & multiple other fnaf creators had small cameos through the employee of the month board easter egg

markiplier made multiple high-quality shows on youtube & is now working on a highly anticipated movie (he was also planned to cameo in the fnaf movie but couldn't due to conflicting schedules with his own movie)

hot ones got their own tv gameshow due to their popularity & they are still one of the most wellknown, beloved & respected internet shows

many short films made on youtube went on to premiere at film festivals & even in theaters

the hit horror film "talk to me" was created by youtubers rackaracka

webseries of actual fucking tv shows have also existed for literal decades

the list goes on.

to seriously think that overproduced bullshit is all you need to make "tv quality content" is not only tone-deaf, but shows they do not even know what they're talking about. many tv shows & huge blockbuster movies are made with absolutely microscopic budgets & small teams, & they still get praised & awarded for the passion, dedication, & creativity that shined brightly under those restrictions.

the blair witch project is probably the most wellknown & highly praised example of this, but it is far from the Only example

it is a whole other slap in the face, again ESPECIALLY when puppet history is one of their most popular shows, to spit in the face of internet history. to see the success of their predecessors, even ppl they fucking worked with at buzzfeed, & deny them of all their success & efforts to get where they ended up.

no, y'all are not the first people to make "tv quality content" on the internet. FAR from it. because your crap isn't even genuine "tv quality".

but you are the first ones to ever disrespect not only your audience, but your own fucking industry & your peers on this level.

Got a bit out of hand with the prompt XD I ended up doing a scene inspired by this fic! Based on that time Marcille Izutsumi and Chilchuck were sharing a bed in chapter 47. It felt very memorable so I tried to recreate it but I kind of went offscript because I was basing it on my recollection of the fic lmao

a lot of you got a kick out of my service dog’s battle jacket, so i thought i’d share some more pictures of the man himself.

i know people have a lot of stereotypes about what service dogs and their handlers are “supposed” to look like, and it confuses people to see a young, seemingly able bodied punk rocker with a service dog.

but i share this to say, that if you as a disabled person don’t see a life for yourself, you can create one. when i started to realize i was disabled almost 10 years ago, i certainly didn’t imagine this is where i’d be now. in fact, i didn’t even plan to making it to this point.

but a diagnosis doesn’t have to mean the end of the world. sometimes your world is just beginning. some people are of the belief that everything happens for a reason. me, not so much. i’ll never be grateful for the suffering i experienced in this world, but i will always, always be glad i chose to stay in it.
