In the past month, I’ve seen:

A “community cat” with a fractured jaw, respiratory distress, and massive hemorrhaging after being hit by a car

A kitten with one fractured leg, one severely lacerated, and another degloved (skin removed) with torn ligaments after being found in the street

A young cat unresponsive with an uncontrollably high fever due to a tick-borne disease

A beautiful, well-loved kitten who stopped breathing due to a suspected brain bleed and was unable to be revived while preparing for surgery to repair a shattered pelvis after being hit by a car

Again, all these happened in the past month. And these are just the really bad ones I can think of off the top of my head.

All these cats, except one, are now dead.

But yeah, free-roaming is good for cats. They know how to take care of themselves.

Since we're a week out from the official release, it feels like a good time to circulate this again! The Ao3 tags seem to be sorted out, but I've noticed a lot of unrelated cross-tagging here on tumblr.

Remember: The Magnus Protocol (tmagp) and The Magnus Archives (tma) are different shows!

There will of course be some overlap, but in general, posts about Sam, Alice, et al. should be under tmagp. Posts about Jon, Martin, and the old gang should be under tma. You're going to compare Gwendolyn Bouchard to Elias Bouchard? Feel free to tag both! But if you're just talking about how much you love Gwen's character, or reminiscing about Elias committing brutal pipe murder, it's courteous to stick to just the tags for the relevant show.

("The Magnus Pod" and "magpod" seem to be common umbrella tags, and may be more useful than "The Magnus Universe")

As someone who has witnessed old, established fandoms get completely erased under a wave of new content, I'd like to put this request out now as early as possible:

Can we all, please, use separate tags for "The Magnus Archives" (TMA) and "The Magnus Protocol" (TMP*) both here on tumblr and over on Ao3.

There will be some overlap, of course, but searching for TMA should turn up content about Jonathan Sims, the Archivist, and the old established set of characters, while searching for TMP should turn up content about our as-of-yet unnamed new civil servant protagonists and whoever shares the show with them.

I realize that people are going to want to keep using the TMA tags for both personal organization reasons as well as visibility, but I promise you, once content for the new show starts really picking up steam it'll be easier on all of us if we have two separate tags to keep them straight.

[If we need an overarching umbrella tag, I'd suggest "The Magnus Universe" (TMU) to cover content related to the world as a whole rather than a specific show.]

*Edit: Some helpful folks have pointed out that "TMP" is already in use as a tag for Star Trek "The Motion Picture," so perhaps a better alternative would be "TMAGP" so we don't erase their fandom, either.

Hi hello I believe it’s time I talk about the idea that’s been plaguing me for nearly a week :D

Jesskas Bakery AU! Here’s a little comic I drew.

This is going to be kind of a long post.

So! Some general info:

- Jesse lives in an apartment with Axel and Olivia, his best friends since childhood

- He works construction jobs and stuff and he’s always a little messy from it, but he loves what he does

- He’s still getting over the loss of Reuben (piggy best friend since childhood), but he’s generally pretty cheerful despite that

- He’s a bit of a scatterbrained silly goober but he means well

- He has a major sweet tooth but he can’t bake at all. He’s pretty good at cooking, though.

- Lukas works at a bakery— they’re super short-staffed (it’s just him and two others) so sometimes he’s running the counter and sometimes he’s doing the baking

- He genuinely enjoys the baking aspect of it but he hates having to work customer service

- They’re in danger of going out of business and that’s a major source of stress for Lukas (he’s got a lot going on in his life)

- He lives with Aiden and it’s…not a good living arrangement, but he doesn’t make enough to cover rent alone so he deals with it. His main source of comfort is his cat, Dewey

- He wanted to go into architecture, but he never had the money/opportunity, so he works at the bakery

I have a bunch more notes about this AU (and a few doodles!) if anyone is interested. I just think they’re neat :)
