so i went to see The Wild Robot bc it's a holiday monday here and the theatre was p much empty, and hooo boy was that a lovely lil film and a good cathartic cry ♥︎

#the wild robot #a++#def go see it if u were on the fence #its lovely #or rent it when it comes out idk #v sweet #idk how i feel about the fact that they're already planning a sequel bc like. we have too many subpar sequels already #its the current curse of hollywood / studios / movies (capitalism. its just unnecessary capitalism)#but tbh it was v well done so it mightttt actually be good if they do go thru w it #im open to the idea #i am. mostly bc the storyline - despite being p much finished - still felt v open by the end and there's def an opportunity to do more #*if* they do it right #and not just. use it as a blatant cash-grab w/o putting in the same amount of effort #we shall see i suppose #bc that movie was v well done and the effort put into it Shows #it was paced differently than i expected but over all was a good time #anyway im rambling now #it was a good movie and i cried at least 3 times (/positive)#that about sums it up

Got a question for you in conjunction to our recent dialogue regarding Jade.

The first born women of Outworld typically become Umgadi. As seen with Tanya. That said, do you think Jade will be made into Tanya’s younger sister in the new timeline. Who had the burdens of the nobility fall unto her after Tanya was made into Umgadi?

Hey, I'm doing well. Thanks for asking.

I'm very open-minded about this idea. Tanya wouldn't know she was nobility because the orgins of every umgadi are kept from them. And if Jade's the younger sister, Tanya being chosen as umgadi, probably happened before she was born. So, Jade doesn't know about Tanya.

I think it would be like a tribute to Tanya's past iteration. In mkx, she was the daughter of an Edenian ambassador. So she had close ties with royalty. I wouldn't be surprised if that passed into the new era, but instead, she's actually royalty (like the princess diaries). I do think Tanya could be of royal descent.

As of now, Jade and Tanya are complete strangers. I think Tanya is neutral about Jade. She doesn't see her as a threat, but she doesn't know her enough to really have an opinion about her.

When it comes to writing, I don't have a lot of faith in NRS. If this scenario happens, I wonder how they would implement it to the story.

I may have realized that I can just make my own, so. I did that. As for how they got switched up, it was just some mystic nonsense. Likely the aftermath of fighting a mutant that uses magic like Hypno, or even a case of Donnie's inventions going on the fritz

And no this isn't one of those swap stories where the characters inexplicably keep their original voices (which always makes zero sense imo, they switched minds not vocal chords). Just clarifying in case the use of color-coded speech bubbles causes confusion

Donnie physically cannot wear his goggles now but made up for it by giving himself eyebrows. Mikey is on a power trip soon-to-be identity crisis. Leo is suffering as the official shortest brother, but also will definitely be trying out Mikey's mystic powers soon enough. Raph is...dealing.
