anyway what is your headcanon on why peter betrayed his friends? 🥰

it PAINS ME that we'll never know for sure. like actually PAINS me.

i've spoken about pete so much so the big things for me are

1) canonically a hatstall between gryf and slyth - he just doesnt have the same courage and bravery as his friends and is thrown into the same war. i think even just watching everyone die would be enough for the self-preservative part of him to come in and make him protect himself and his family no matter what

2) the prank - also spoken about THIS a lot but imagine??? like imagine sirius BLACK being in your year, you're a hatstall and he's not??? and then he does THAT??? and he's,,,, more of a gryffindor than you??? the prank is the beginning of the end for all of them but i think this is where petes morals start getting really muddled and the whole "protecting his friends" means nothing when he watched one friend do that to another and just,,, make up? noone ever got over the prank but especiallyyyy not pete

3) not an actual theory but i love unrequited prongstail xxx like pete losing james to sirius and then lily?? and then the slytherin side comes out??? mmmm ya

Hum Hallelujah <- it's like a command, almost. Hum Hallelujah, a little begrudgingly, a little sarcastically. But do it anyways because it might save your life

It's Not Goodbye by Lucky Chops <- completely outta left field with this one but this song made me cry the first time I heard it after I looked at the title. It really isn't goodbye, yknow? You can feel that (the song is instrumental)

allow me to get emo about so much for stardust for a minute. in the winter of 2023 i was doing pretty bad emotionally, it was several years into the pandemic and i'd just gotten rejected from every grad school i applied to and my partner was working abroad and i was incredibly lonely. i could barely get myself to listen to lftos at first because i was so scared i wouldn't like it. but i loved it. and when i finally got to hear the whole album it was like a switch flipped in my brain and turned my emotions back on. for the first time in years i felt passionate about something, enough to start making art about it. and then the tour started and the setlist blew my mind and i started making gifs, and more importantly making friends!!! i have never felt so at home in a fandom as i have for the past year. i am so grateful for this album and tour and for all of you who have been so lovely to me <3 happy 1 year of smfs!!!
