well... if u insist... giggles blushes OK SO im sosososoo fucking into how desire and dynamic relationality is covered in DE bc i think its a subtle but fundamental way the political and social themes r made visceral to the audience- so a bunch of them r like harry x (other character)... that being said

ok but yeah elsewhere I think Harry's desires for certain things or his opposition to them create these interesting wonderful little moments. The idea of the 'man' as the soulful, lonesome artist (see Dora's letter, the repeating motifs of Harry's own idea of himself as soulful or as an artist) creates a really interesting admiration and desire for proximity w Tommy Le Homme. I think the idea of seeing yourself (or of Harry seeing himself) as a part of a 'brotherhood of man' within the working classes creates a rlly cute theoretical thing w Call Me Manana (contrasted by the tense yaoi opportunity of being an outsider and seeking to be an insider found w Titus) -> the observation of and desire for the 'ideal' of the working man as something that Harry can actually be subjegated to w/ Joyce and her romanticism of the bodies of working class men (she says something like "broad shouldered boys" or something when talking abt them which like triggered the switch in my head to be like huhhh ohhhh) and also provides an innnnnterrrresting opportunity for contrast w Dora as the class dynamic between the two is the understood and mutually communicated source of the tension in their dynamic. I also think Evrart/Harry is funny, I like literally any ship involving Garte because I think its baller, also I think Ruby and Soona is fire.
