top five harry and draco headcanons :)

draco -

had an idyllic (if occasionally lonely) childhood. he was doted on and got everything he asked for and grew up very defensive of his parents - not just as people who raised him, but as people he admired and looked up to. having to reconstruct who they really are and contend with all of their failings and what it says about him that he loves them so much is one of the great trials of his adulthood.

doesn't make or keep friends easily, because he doesn't like being vulnerable or asking for help or admitting that he was wrong. he knows how to get attention but doesn't know what to do with it once he's got it.

likes animals. he threw a tantrum at not being allowed to bring his childhood crup with him to hogwarts and didn't talk to lucius for weeks because of it. care of magical creatures would have been a favorite class if it wasn't for that oaf hagrid and it's not his fault buckbeak couldn't take a joke. he calls all of his friends ugly brutes. it's affectionate. obviously.

isn't very bookish, but does well in school because he likes to do well. he's a perfectionist, and hates it when he's not immediately good at something because that's humiliating. he'd rather not try than fail.

knows he's funny. his worst fear is having to repeat a joke because people didn't hear it.

harry -

is loyal to a fault, and his loyalty is not especially hard won. as a child, all you had to do was be kind. as an adult, if he believes you're good and you sacrifice for him, he'll defend if not excuse everything you do from that moment onwards. he's self-aware enough to know this is a blind spot and doesn't care. go put up your feet, he'll hide the body.

craves unconditional love but isn't sure he believes in it. everyone wants something. don't they?

is a highly conceptual thinker, and people underestimate him because they can't always follow his abstract thought patterns. he's not the best at explaining or expressing his process, so people think he's pulled stuff out of thin air, or gotten lucky, which suits him just fine.

is easy to like but difficult to know. he wants to be seen but doesn't want to be understood. he fears intimacy because it comes with expectations and he's tired of proving himself over and over again.

knows he's funny. the best part is when everyone else doesn't get the joke.

I mostly stayed close to home in Arizona in 2023, except for a giant amazing trip to Kenya in July. These are five of my favorite photos from the trip, for this year's Gray-Card Memorial Top Five:

Top 5 Ice cream flavours!

Cherry garcia. It's the best one.

2. Butter pecan. Pecans are good, and butter is good, combined they are good x2.

3. Sorbet. Any flavor except pineapple. There's a place near me that does a grape flavor when it's grape season, and it sure does taste like grape, and ice. Lemon is still better. It is always going to be the best sorbet. I don't know why I keep ordering things that aren't lemon just because they sound exciting, when I know lemon will show me a good time

4. Chunky monkey. This is why Tabitha has "banana chocolate chunk" in her freezer. It's fun!! It tastes like a banana split. I have not had one of those in ten thousand years, or maybe ever, but I can live the dream of indulging in one through the few bites of Chunky Monkey I have per decade.

5. I was honestly gonna put vanilla, but this would be a boring list if I ended on everyone's favorite. So I'm throwin in a wildcard, coffee ice cream is pretty good. Not worthy of a higher number. But I wouldn't turn it down at a social, y'know

And Draco all the sudden remembered why he'd joined the Inquisition Squad. Potter in fifth year had been exactly like this and it was really annoying.

She opened and shut her mouth twice, before Weasley broke the silence and stepped towards Draco, towing Granger along with him.

There doesn't seem to be an official Top Five event for 2023, but it's Gray-Card Memorial Top Five season anyway.

Since there are no rules, not that there were many rules before, I'm doing two sets this year. These are five of my favorite photos from around home (Cochise County, Arizona) that were posted in 2023.

Here are my top 5 favorite South Park characters. For no reason :D!

1. Kyle- He’s got his flaws, but I love him standing up to Cartman and actually (usually) having good morals

2. Kenny- he’s dirty minded, but he cares a lot about people. I feel kinda bad he has to go through the pain of dying over and over again, but he toughs through it like the champ he is! (MAN that sounds corny qwq)

3. Tweek- his parents suck, but this kid is just a ball of “what if”s and tbh it’s kinda silly. He’s a nervous wreck, but I love em anyway

4. Craig- his voice screams sarcasm (almost) all the time, he flips people off repeatedly and then denies it with his life, and he speaks the most truth about our main 4’s adventures throughout the whole series. Who doesn’t love him?

5. Clyde- he’s underrated, and I think he has some of the best costumes (the pirate outfit was EPIC). I also like how sensitive he is, and he’s cried on multiple occasions, effectively showing that yes, these boys are still just children. Yeah he’s had moments where I want to throw him out a window, but they all do. (Especially Cartman)

So there you have it, my top five list of south park characters. If I should do the next five, go ahead and tell me, that’s where we start including some girls! (I may do it anyway for that reason)
