going to sleep thinking about the various hallucinations I've experienced. i don't have any psychosis or condition where I'd normal hear/see them, but i will get bouts of them usually when I'm in the process of waking up, which is fairly common, and it's honestly given me so much empathy to schizophrenics and others who just.. have them all the time.

like the first one i remember as being a full-on hallucination, where i was 1000% convinced was real for at least 5 minutes, was what sounded like a man very convincingly making an animalistic monster growl. that's the best way i can put it. it "came from" my bedroom hallway entryway and my eyes shot open, and everything about it seemed so real—i could feel my ears remember the sound, i knew i was awake (i wasn't fully), and i just wracked my brain for way too long trying to figure out what the fuck it could've been, my partner, my dog, a fuckin actual monster or, worse, a man pretending to be one, until my brain went from 90% to 100% awake and i was able to rationally think "was that a fucking hallucination?"

I'm thinking about this because i had one this morning, and I've had a couple in the last few years since that first one, one time a woman screaming, usually voices saying random words or names, once or twice a big crashing sound. this morning was a woman's voice saying something short but it wasn't super clear. thankfully I've gotten used to them and can more quickly rationalize that they were in my head despite everything else being convinced it was RIGHT THERE. thank goodness most of them are boring and short and not scary but sometimes they still get a bit of a rise out of me and i honestly can't imagine that just being my life. y'all are warriors

I'm not sure if my visual hallucinations are truly that, they're typically when I'm going to sleep (or need to be) and are usually explained by tricks of the light, my eyes just Being Tired and not working at 100% and just look like quick moving shadows and bugs. but the audio ones are certainly by definition hallucinations caused by my brain not completely turning off dream mode before I'm conscious, so that's fun

its strange that i suddenly feel like a real person now. Its like, i dont know, like 21 years was leading up to this moment, like i'm actually, finally being born, or something. or maybe it's selfish for me to think that when it was a memorial for my dead sister that marked the turning point? idk. I know she was there man. like i personally have uncertain and random beliefs but whatever it was she was literally there, somehow, and like i dont think theres any way i can explain how she was there, textually, but whatever, i'm mostly making this post for myself, i Don't expect anyone to be able to read my mind on this, its just idk. We were all there in a circle and you know, of course mom wasn't there. we wanted her there, but even though our sister died young in a very unjust way, mom can't bother to care enough. which, you know, typical, but that's a little scary. i mean what if i went through with some of the plans i had as a teenager? would it be the same way? would it change or impact nothing? or you know, like, maybe it wouldn't impact Mom, but it would impact everyone else, i guess. like our sister did for us just now. like honest to god just. perfect circle of chairs. one empty one for mom- maybe our sister took it up?- and there were the florida songbirds singing and the sun was warm and bright but not blistering and i heard fish in the lake and saw a vulture in the sky and there were bees buzzing and i heard some kind of animal rustling in the bushes and we sat there and talked about her and it's like. i don't know how to even begin to properly put that scene into words. it felt the most right it could ever possibly have been. Like all of a sudden our imperfect, messy, gross family has this moment of like, "this is right. this is what's supposed to be happening." and like yea. she loved the florida wildlife. she loved every bit of it. and the plants too. there were, somehow, just by chance, these flowers I (and only I) associate with her, that I've never told anyone i associate with her, growing in a corner of the yard at that rental, and i saw them and i didn't know what to fucking say, so i didn't say anything. it'll be my secret i guess. i think we all had our individual moments with her while we were there. and then you know like we all sat around a fire getting drunk and high and we sang and laughed and burned her rose and stared up at the sky holding hands and yea i know this sounds cheesy and goofy and stupid as all fuck but whatever i mean we did that and it felt real. like i honest to god know we sent her out there. she's with the stars now or something or maybe she's a rabbit now or a salmon or a termite or who fuckin knows maybe she's still goofing around messing with people but point is that something happened there. i dont know. this is long as fuck. this is so much text. sorry man. if anyone actually reads this to the end: that's crazy. not in a good or bad way just you know. i feel like im gonna explode if i dont write this out somewhere, so thats the whole reason this post exists. i might delete this later, or i might not. maybe i want to keep this assigned to my internet presence. like. here i am! i can't hide behind a computer anymore. i'm real

Ik you asked for 3D program, but ifyou want to go analog, I've also used action figures before and that's helpful. Or even pipe cleaner models I made myself and took pics lmao

baby miles and y/n― writing practice

So in the miles x churchgirl!y/n thing I recently wrote like a scene of them as babies and my heartt. So i'ma write another and put it here ― as writing practice so yea. These also co relate somewhat to the story

You sat in the playground by yourself as expected by your mother that left you for who knows what. It's basically a weekly routine for the both of you ― she'd go off on her business and 7-year-old you would "just do whatever" as she instructed. Some mother she is, and you couldn't even figure out why she'd take your sister with her but leave you alone. Although weird to think about you never spoke on it, your intuition always making you wary not to. so. you just didn't.

You weren't alone alone though, it's been what? a year now since you've been friends with Tía Rio's son, Miles. You hid your friendship with him from your mother though, fearful of what she'd threatened the first time she saw you two.

Getting bored on the swings, you hopped off to run towards the bushes redecorated with beautiful spring flowers. Picking one and examining it brought you some sort of happiness, however that washed away by the unease of some unfamiliar presence. Unsure of what to do, you remain still, planning out what to do if by chance it was a kidnapper.

"BOO"

The loud scare made your turn around and quickly hide your face with your hands; the pink tulip falling.

"Miless-uhh. I told you to stop doing that" "¿qué? are you gonna cry"

He started to pry off your hand with his, laughing when he saw you peeking at him.

"I'm sorry" "Are you though" "Yes"

Taking the flower off the ground he placed it in the top of the high puff you had. He squinted, scratching the back of his neck rapidly

"What" "How does your hair do that?" "Do what" "The flower in your hair is staying put, Rebecca's hair can't do that" because she's white Miles.

You just shrugged, unsure of how to answer. Miles scooted his pursed lips under his nose

"Can I put in more?" You stared at him for a good 10 seconds before nodding "I don't see why not"

After directing you to sitting stones beside the sand-pit he came back with a bunch of flowers, of which some fell and left a trail behind him.

He took down your hair, placing your scrunchie around his wrist before beginning. The whole time he stuck on his tongue sideways to focus, using both hands of his to shape your fro before placing a flower in it.

"I'm finished" "Does it look pretty ?" "No, you look like my papa's boot"

Both flabbergasted and somewhat disappointed you crossed your arms, turning your face away from his view

"I'm joking. You do"

He wore an apologetic look on his face; a tell tale sign he meant his words. Getting up from the stone you walked over to him, embracing him if by any chance your mother would appear out of nowhere. He hugged you back, his tiny hands barely touching around your back.

"Will you ever grow"

"Shut up and do my hair"

Watching from afar Rio had a questioning look as to why her son and her son's best-friend were basically stripping the bushes then running over to the stones until they both ran up to her.

"Tía Tía" "Mama Mama"

Miles turned around and stopped running, you following in tow uncertain why he did.

"Don't freak out okay" "Okay"

He pointed to a spot in your hair so you felt around it, eyes widening when you felt something flutter against your palm. You ran around in circles, deathly terrified of the winged creatures called butterflies while Miles tumbled on the floor from laughing at your misery. Rio had to pretend to be looking at a tree unless she'd burst out laughing.

Standing up once more, Miles felt that he should've moved when he saw you running at full speed towards him; but he didn't. That resulted in you two on the ground, one child crying for dear life and the other tired of it.

After reading more about it I think I can see how its results would be more useful than simply assigning users a survey number as I had done in the spreadsheet.

Yes I’ve gotten a handful of comments concerning time of day and time zones which I definitely agree with! If I ever conducted the survey again, recording match times and possibly having volunteers from different time zones pitch in would be some changes I’d make.

Thank you for weighing in on the compression! I remember learning after the fact that YT compression can vary based on how “big” a channel is. I was surprised, but in hindsight it makes total sense.

What I define as a birthday event would be something like prompts or a raffle, and only last about a week (probably the 25th to the 31st? Something like that).

The trick or treating event would be something more simple, inspired by things I've seen other blogs doing, where you can send in an emoji and a character or something, and you can either get a joke edit (trick) or a real edit (treat). It'd last the whole month, and I'd post the things as I finish em, no queueing so they don't take a billion years to post.

Both would mean my inbox is open for trick or treating the whole month, and I will also host a week-long event for my birthday. Trick or treating may close during the event, depending on what it is, but if this is the case it'd reopen on the 31st for trick or treating, and then November 1st go back to regular reqs (or close, if I'm swamped with stuff)

Merging them means I do the trick or treating and post some prompts and a raffle, or something else that'd last the whole month (or.. the 27 days that are left of it. I didn't plan sorryyy 😢😢) and that's that, as opposed to doing trick or treating the whole month and a week-long event. I am praying I worded all this right GODDD
