𝑳𝒆𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒈 (이희승)
“Tumblr? Oh, cool. Like, for fanart and stuff?”But then… you go to the bathroom and leave your laptop open. He peeks. And sees a very detailed post titled ‘This man is ruining my life (affectionately)’ with a photo of him attached. Heeseung just blinks.
“Wait… is this supposed to be me?” Cue slow scroll. Moodboard reblogs. Aesthetic gifs. One too many reblogs of his hands.
Now he’s suspicious but lowkey flattered. He starts teasing you like,
“So when were you planning on telling me I’m your Tumblr crush?”He’ll act smug, but the second you reblog a comfort post and tag it #heeseungcore he just melts and rereads it 12 times. Probably starts sending you “post this one, it fits your theme” like a Tumblr boyfriend-in-training.
𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑱𝒂𝒚 (박종성) Immediately suspicious.
Jay finds out completely by accident. He asks what you’re laughing at one day and you say “a post on Tumblr.” He immediately stops mid-sip of his drink.
Wait. You have a Tumblr?” And suddenly he's like a detective, narrowing his eyes at you. “Do you write stuff? Like… about me?” When you say “maybe,” he gasps like you betrayed him.
But then? He starts snooping. Searches up phrases you’ve said, lines from your tags, stalks every mutual interaction like he’s solving a crime. Eventually, he walks into the room and drops:
“So… ‘Coach Dilf AU’ huh?” You panic. He looks smug. “You’re so lucky I’m hot.” Jay pretends to be scandalized, but the truth? He checks your blog every single even asking random things on anon. And when you tag something soft like ‘this made me think of him’, he goes quiet for the rest of the night. Then whispers, “You know I think of you all the time, right?”
𝑺𝒊𝒎 𝑱𝒂𝒌𝒆 (심재윤)
He thinks it’s the cutest thing ever.
“You have a Tumblr? What do you post?? Aesthetic pictures? Writing? Memes??” Jake is so supportive. He sits next to you on the couch and asks to scroll through it. He points at every cute post and goes, “That’s so you.” You’re waiting for the moment he finds the more… thirsty ones, but Jake? He just giggles. “So you think I’m ‘a walking sunshine Greek statue with puppy energy’? I love that.”
He starts sending you photos of himself like:
“This could be one of your vibe pics.” And if you reblog a quote post that says something like “I just want to be loved gently,” he’ll literally send you a message that says: “You deserve that. And I’ll give you all of it, okay?” Jake’s the Tumblr boyfriend who doesn’t even have Tumblr—but lives in your inbox like a tag.
𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒏 (박성훈)
Pretends to be above it. “Tumblr is like… for 2013 emos, right?” he quips in a half-joking manner, outwardly dismissive of the whole thing. But don’t be fooled.Sunghoon secretly maintains his own shadow profile, where he reblogs dark academia fits and moody sunset gifs on nights he can’t sleep-which is often. Whenever you post even a hint of thirst about him, his cool façade softens ever so slightly, and he smirks, teasing, “You spelled ‘hot’ wrong. Should’ve said ‘ethereal god.’” The layered vulnerability behind his cool jokes reveals that, despite his airs, he’s deeply invested in every soft, fleeting reference you make.
𝑲𝒊𝒎 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒐𝒐 (김선우)
“YOU HAVE A BLOG? What’s the username. I want the theme. Is it cute? Am I your header Image?!” He immediately pulls it up and starts judging…lovingly. “Okay wait… why is your header blurry? This gifset is so you. OH this post?? I reblogged that yesterday!” You two end up becoming mutuals on Tumblr and in real life. He tags you in “bf ang gf aesthetic” gifs and makes you matching layouts.
Then he sees your post that says, “I wish he knew how much I care.” He goes quiet for a second and just looks at you.
“I do. Know, I mean.” And when he sees you post something like “I love his smile more than anything”? He replies out loud like: “Yeah? I love yours too. Should I write that on my blog?”
𝑌𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝐽𝑢𝑛𝑔𝑤𝑜𝑛 (양정원)
Judging you gently but with love. “You’re telling me you write entire essays about fictional people’s emotional trauma and call it slight angst?” he muses with a gentle smile, initially puzzled as he browses through your detailed posts. Jungwon’s reaction is equal parts mild judgment and soft fascination. At first, he can’t quite grasp the depth of your Tumblr musings, but before long, he’s three hours deep into your tagged “love tropes” posts, nodding along in quiet understanding. Finally, having soaked in every word and image, he leans in and sends you random quotes like, “This reminded me of you. Put it on your blog or whatever.” His quiet support speaks volumes;he respects your feelings and art, even if he pretends it’s all just a quirky hobby.
𝑵𝑖–𝑘𝑖 (니키)
Laughs his entire soul out. “Nahhh, you’re one of them,” he laughs with a mischievous glint in his eyes, immediately taking your Tumblr revelations as a delightful challenge.
Ni-ki finds your blog absolutely hilarious and irresistible—so much so that he dives headfirst into your archive, meticulously scrolling through and capturing screenshots of everything you posted back in 2019, teasing, “You posted THIS in 2019? Embarrassing and yet you dare to laugh at my old pictures.” underneath the playful ribbing.
he bookmarks all your posts tagged with his name along with cute symbols, keeping them close even if he’ll never openly admit how much they mean to him. His laughter echoes with a mix of teasing and a secret admiration that he’ll never fully confess.

The Ties That Bind Us - Chapter 22
Tumblr media
Previous | Next [Series Masterlist]
Content Warning: medical procedures; mutual pining; angst: yelling; power dynamics
The ER didn’t stop spinning just because your world had.
You kept about your work as if nothing was happening, your smile brittle and your hands steady. No one could tell—at least not the patients. But the nurses noticed the silence. The residents noticed the way you and Robby barely made eye contact now, orbiting around each other with carefully measured professionalism. And Dana? Dana noticed everything.
“Jesus,” Dana muttered under her breath, sidling up beside you at the patients board, voice pitched low. “You two look like you just walked out of a war zone.”
“We didn’t walk out,” you said lightly, flipping through charts without looking up. “We’re still in it.”
Dana glanced at you, brow raised. “Want me to lock you both in the supply closet and not let you out until one of you apologizes?”
You gave a dry laugh. “I think we passed apologies a week ago.”
Across the ER, Robby was briefing a pair of residents on a difficult intubation, calm and cool and perfectly detached. But you knew better. You could feel it—like weather pressure, like static before a storm. He was angry. Not just about the job offer, but about you. About you both.
She wasn’t blameless. She knew that. But it didn’t make it easier to breathe around him.
They hadn’t said more than five words to each other in two days.
-----------------------------------------------
“Dr. Williams, I need a word.”
Robby’s tone cut through the hallway. You didn’t even try to hide your eye roll as you spun on your heel, blood-stained gloves still on your hands, and stalked into the empty trauma room. He followed, closing the door with a sharp click.
“What?” you snapped, turning on him. “If this is about the chest tube, I stand by my call.”
“That’s not the issue and you know it.” Robby’s jaw was tight. “You should’ve waited for imaging before pushing the central line.”
“And waste five minutes while the patient decompensates? I made a judgment call. It was the right one.”
“You bypassed protocol.”
“You were slow.”
The words came out before you could stop them.
His expression darkened. “Excuse me?”
“You hesitated,” you pressed, arms crossing. “You stood there second-guessing while his pressure tanked. I acted.”
They were inches apart now. The overhead fluorescents buzzed softly. The air was thick with unspoken tension.
“You want to throw that in my face?” he asked, voice low, dangerous. “Fine. But don’t pretend this is just about a patient.”
“Oh, you want to go there?”
“Maybe I do,” he growled. “Because ever since that rooftop fight, you’ve been gunning for control in every goddamn case like you’ve got something to prove.”
You stepped forward, chest rising with the heat bubbling up. “I had a plan. I was right. You just didn’t trust me enough.”
His eyes darkened, tone dropping an octave. “Don’t turn this into something it isn’t.”
“You think because you’ve been doing this longer that your call is always better?”
“No, I think because I’ve seen more people die than you’ve had birthdays, I get to trust my gut.”
Your face paled.
Something in his stomach dropped—but you didn’t give him time to take it back.
“Wow,” you whispered, shaking your head. “There it is. You don’t see me as your equal. You never have.”
“That’s not what I meant—”
“But that’s exactly what you said.”
You turned away, fists clenched at your sides, trying to keep the tears back through pure will.
And he hated it. Hated that she looked small and tired and furious all at once. Hated that he couldn’t fix this. That he had caused it.
“Y/N,” he said, quieter now.
He stared at her, chest rising and falling. His voice dropped to something quieter—rougher.
“You used to trust me.”
“I still do. I just don’t have to agree with you.”
Robby stepped closer. Too close. “No. You don’t see me anymore. You see someone trying to hold you back.”
“That’s not fair,” you said, breath catching. “You don’t get to pull that card when I’m just doing what you taught me to do.”
“And what’s that?” he asked, tone bitter. “Overrule your co-attending? Make a scene in front of the whole team?”
“You think this is about ego?”
“I think it’s about us.” His eyes burned into yours. “Or the fact that we haven’t talked about anything since that night. But hey—congrats. You got the upper hand.”
Your pulse pounded in your ears. “You’re such an asshole sometimes.”
“Only sometimes?”
His voice cracked just slightly with frustration, and for one flickering second, something like vulnerability slipped through.
They were standing too close again.
Fury tangled with longing.
It would’ve been so easy to kiss him. So easy to throw yourself into the fire just to feel something that wasn’t this ache.
But you tore your gaze away instead.
“This isn’t going to work if you keep seeing me as competition.”
“And it won’t work if you keep trying to win every fight,” he shot back.
Another pause. Another breath neither of them took.
Dana’s voice floated in. “If you two are done emotionally sparring in there, we’ve got a femur fracture rolling up”
You let out a breath. Robby stepped back.
They didn’t move.
Not for a full beat.
Then, without another word, they turned and walked out—side by side, silent, each burning for a different reason.

Yandere Ex Wife X G/N Teacher Reader
This is technically a part two. It's in the same story as Yandere Butcher but starts after the events of his introduction!
Trigger warnings! Cheater not regretting their behaviour. Yandere Ex Wife is implied to like you more the her son. (It's just a sentence but better safe then sorry!) , Stalking, manipulative behaviour, mentions of murder, This is all fictional I don't condone toxic behaviour irl!
🥀Yandere Ex Wife who did cheat on Yandere Butcher! She doesn't regret it!
This town was so dull she needed something to entertain her... obviously.
🥀Yandere Ex Wife moved out of that town two years ago. Isaiah was so big in their tiny town how was Alice going to cope? (I mean there's no way to look good in this situation 😭)
I mean she did come see her son every other weekend! She's not a total monster.... Just cheater!
🥀Yandere Ex Wife who had to pick up her son earlier then usual on a Friday because he got into a fight. Recently a local drunk's gone missing and people like to say his dad looks like the type to get rid of them.
James (Finally gave this boy a name - Jay) was sitting in the headmasters office with you waiting for someone to come pick him up. Usually his dad would respond, especially if he got to see you but it's his mum's weekend. You had helped patch up his hands. You are a good person.He knows his dad's a little obsessed too. He's not stupid, he almost feels bad for you. But his dad's a good person, right? He wouldn't go that far surely.
James looks at the clock on the wall before turning to you "It's 1pm...Mums probably got some business thing or whatever-" before he had a chance to ask for them to call his dad Alice comes rushing in.
🥀Yandere Ex Wife looks very put together, Designer head to toe. She left this lifeless little town to focus back on her job. She hated that Isaiah wanted her to be a little housewife. Filling out documents and paperwork was less painful then washing up or cleaning the floors to her.
"Ah! Miss Alice. Thank you for coming!" You stand up and shake her hand. You had heard from the locals at the pub all about her. Cheating on her husband and the father of her child with an author who was visiting for a bit. Isaiah was quite sweet, you couldn't understand why she would but you had to stay professional.
"Please take a seat. Obviously this isn't the first time James been reported but now it's escalated to violence..." The headmaster was planning on expelling James. That's easy to see but Yandere Ex Wife isn't dumb. After pointing out someone accused the poor boys father to be the cause of a missing person it's normal for a teenager to lash out. "And have you talked to the other students parents about not gossiping about my son's father near their child!?" She stood up.
🥀By the end of the meeting James could come back to school on Monday like nothing happened. She lead her child out before hearing you call after her.
"Thank you" you mouth. "I know you're not particularly liked in this town. Sorry! That's rude! I just meant...if you ever need any extra support to be involved with things like the school plays or parents evens. Here's my school email."
Now did she fall for you in the exact same way her ex husband did....yes. yes she did. You cared! Even when she cheated (still won't say it was wrong) you pushed through and cared! That's what she was looking for her whole life! Someone to care for her!
🥀Yandere Ex Wife waited for son to go to bed before looking up your social medias. You had a few aesthetic photos of the town but if scrolled down. Really, really far down. You had lived in the city she does now!
🥀That Monday the town was surprised that Yandere Ex Wife was round! She hadn't shown her face in awhile for good reason. She had her pencil skirt paired with her blouse that was a button too low.
In the early morning you walked into town on your way to work. "Oh (Reader)!" Yandere Ex Wife sang behind you. Had she been there long? "I hope you don't mind but I saw you used to live around my parts so I bought you a few snacks that are popular around there! As a thank you for looking out for my beautiful boy!"
🥀 Now isn't she adorable? Yandere Ex Wife started to be more involved in the community again and even moved back into the town!The locals weren't happy What everyone didn't know is it's so she can follow you around! She loves it!
She can work from home whenever so when you walk home. She walks with you! Just far behind without you knowing! She takes a few photos as well! You're just so cute! How you mark students work or cook yourself meals! It's bizarre, she sees you make cooking errors and she just wants to cook for you. She's never had that before not even with her son. (Och)
🥀Yandere Ex Wife calls you crying on a few occasions. Feeling isolated or judged by her neighbours and whaw whaw. She did not care. I mean she's not lying, just lying about it upset her because she knows you'd care. She was even surprised herself when you came over her to comfort her.
🥀She's definitely buying you gifts allll the time! Which she never does! That's not her love language till she sees how your face heats up and you get all shy about it.
🥀Yandere Ex Wife who noticed you being around her is ruining your reputation. She hears how the other mums talk about you. How you're probably sleeping with her (she wishes) like she slept with that author.
Specifically this stupid little librarian! They've been gossiping so much it just grinds her gears! So she dealt with the problem! She's no fool, She knows Isaiah did it. She remembers how possessive he got, how he tried to hide it. So she grabbed one of those heavy little books and bashed this librarian head in and tried framing her ex husband for It!It was easy to burn the book and dumb the body near the butchers. And where was she? Getting some in another town! She has a friend with similar "love language" to her.
🥀You were shaking up...your school worked with that library frequently. You had just finished a call with Isaiah when Alice pulls you into her chest.
"Aw Sweetheart I hear you're upset about what happened! Let me take cook you dinner tonight, you can just rest!"

Y/n’s brother is around Oliver's age (10 years ish), and he’s going to have powers

Chapter One
(Y/n’s pov)
I was walking down the hallway getting out of class when I heard yelling and a body getting slammed against the lockers. I looked and pushed through the crowd, hoping to see what was going on. I saw Mark, Mark Grayson, getting slammed on the lockers.
Mark: “Hit me again”.
Todd: “What?”, “ I said to hit me again”.
Y/n’s mind: “What is Mark doing ? He's not himself, and he couldn't get seriously hurt”. Todd looked around, and everyone was staring at him.
Todd: “Ughh what a fucking freak”, and let go of Mark and walked away.
Y/n’s mind: “ freak, Freak, fucking Freak I hate that word it just brings me bad memories and it pissing me off rn”. She walks away from the commotion, but she gets a notification from her phone a “Reminder Y/g’s medication is ready to be picked up from the pharmacy”. “Ughh fuck me I forgot about that and I have work… its fine Ill make it work”.  She got the medicine and made it to work a bit late. She's putting on her uniform and apron. The bell from the door dings, and someone comes in.
Y/n’s : “Hi welcome into Flower Bakery, I'll be with you in just a sec” , she yelled from the back.
?: “yYeahsure no problem, take your time.” Y/n finishes washing her hands and goes to the front cashier. “Hi, what would you like to do?” she looks up, and it's Mark.
Y/n: “ Mark?”
Mark : “Yeah thats me? Sorry do we know each other ? or wait actually do you look familiar ?”
Y/n “um yeah everyone at school saw you and Todd fight today”, “Ohh right “.
Marks scratches behind his neck. “Sorry about that, Ohh I remember now we’re in the same English class”, “yeahh..5th period”
Mark: “sSorryagain my head has been all over the place at the moment.” “It's okay, I get that, now what would you like to have?”
Mark: “ Ohh right, can I get–”
Y/n’s min: “Caramel macchiato iced with cheese danish
Mark: “and cheese danish”
Y/n “Yeah sure no problem”, Y/n’s mind: “Jesus I should turn down my crush for him a bit before he finds out I have been stalking a bit….”
Mark: “ Your cheese danish is so good and the best in town and omg the bacon, egg, cheese sandwich too.”
Y/n puts the cheese danish, and the egg sandwich  in the small oven to heat it up “yeah their our most popular food”. She makes the drinks for Mark and his friend and calls out their name. And Marks goes up to the counter, Y/n hands out an egg sandwich and gives it to Mark.
Y/n: “Here's an egg sandwich too for you in the house since what happened to you today with Todd”. Mark's eyes brightened up, “ Oh my god ,really, thank you so much!”
Y/n: “Hmm, if you need anything else just let me know”.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Passtime~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n was closing up the store, and she was taking out the trash when she got a phone call, and it was an unknown number.
Y/n mid::ehhh it might be a scam”. She answered the phone call. “Hello, who is this? “
?? “ Y/n sweety, it's been a while”.
Y/n: “ You! What do you want!?”, “Now is that how you talk to your elders?”.
Y/n takes a deep breath, “I’m sorry, Mister Liu, what do you need?”
Mister Liu : “well I just wanna say hello since it’s been a while since you saw us”, “Well there is a reason and I finished paying off my debts that I owe you”.
MIster Liu: “That might be true, but you’re too useful for us and I need you to do another favor for me”. “Sorry but no, I don't do your dirty work anymore”, “Well I wasn't asking you if you, I’m telling you and if you don't do your job your family will pay for it, don't even get smart with me either because I know where you live, work and school.
Y/n “task”, she went silent for a while, thinking of what she should do.
Misterr Liu: “Well ? What's your answer?”, “you’re making this difficult and you know I don't wanna do these things anymore but fine I’ll do it”.“Great!, that is what I like to hear”.
~~~~~~~Time Pass~~~~~~~
Y/n finally got home, opened the door, and saw her grandma waiting at the kitchen table.
Y/g : “Noches mi hijita, ¿cómo te fue en el trabajo hoy?”( Evening my dear, how was your day at work?”
Y/n : “Buenas noches Nana , en el trabajo en el trabajo me paso lo mismo, estoy un poco cansada”.( Good evening grandma, at work was the same, I'm just a bit tired).
Y/g : “ Ohh vale pues, no mas no trabajes demasiado mucho okay, y aquí te prepare un poco de caldo” . ( ohh okay then, just done work too hard okay and here I made you some soup) , “ muchas gracias abuelita”.
Y/g : “okay pues me voy a dormir ahora, termina de comer y vete a la cama pronto okay, se está haciendo tarde”. (okay then I'm going to bed, you finish eating and go to bed soon okay , it's getting late). Y/n nodded her head yes and handed her grandma her meds.
Y/g : “aye muchas gracias mijita, te amo mucho, qué haría sin ti?”( ohh thank you so much sweetie , what would I do with you?)and Y/g kissed her forehead and Y/n smiled and started eating the food and her grandma left the room and she slammed her head on the table.
Y/n mind: “fuckk me what am I going to do?”
~~~~~~~~~~The next day at school~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n was opening her locker to get her redbull and she got it, but just as she was going to drink it, someone behind her scared her.
??: “Boo!”. Y/n jumped up scarily and slammed her locked closed.
Y/n: “Who the he—”, she turns around and sees Mark. “Mar–”, she drops the Red Bull when she crashes into him, the Red Bull hitting the floor.
Mark: “Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I shouldn't have scared you.”
Y/n: “i-i” looking at him, Yn mind: “Oh My god, oh my god he's so close to meeeee!” and he's talking to me first, damn he looks so good up close, his hair slick back, stop it focus”. “Y/n??”
Y/n : clears her throat “ its okay dont worry about it , you just caught me off guard for a sec”.
Mark : “yeahh sorry again, I just wanted to say, thank you again from yesterday for the egg sandwich”.
Y/n: “Oh, yeah, it's fine, it's no big deal.” “Sooo, where are you heading next?”, “I'm going to class”.
Mark: “yYeahme too, to class.” Y/n started rubbing her head.
Y/n mind: “ughh why do I have to get a freaking headache at this beautiful moment”.
Y/n : “hey it was nice talking to you but I need to run to class”, “ Ohh okay then I’ll see you around”, waves to her goodbye and she walks away and puts her hands in her face.
Y/n mind “not the time to turn red or blush even though he's soo cute, I need water first”. She looks around and spots a water fountain. She quickly runs to it and starts to drink the water.
“God this is so refreshing and cold, I’m not leaving my house again with drinking water and with a water bottle again”.
~~~~~~~~After Class~~~~~~~~
Y/n quickly starts heading towards the food court area (it's outside), and sits on a bench that is hidden behind a tree.
Y/n mind: “Just in time, so I can see Mark from a distance, talking with his friends, talking”. She just stares at Mark from a distance, admiring Mark while holding up a book so he won't see her that easily.
Y/n mind: “He’s so perfect and handsome, I still can't believe he talked to me, ohh my heart can't take it.”
?? “Hey Mark!”. Y/n blinks and sees someone, Amber, calling out to him, and she runs up to him and kisses him.
Y/n mind: Ohhrightt, a guy like that would have a girlfriend or be gay”. She saw them giggling and laughing.
Y/n mind: “hmm, why would I ever think he’ll ever like someone like me, I’m a freak”. She looks down at her phone and gets a notification from Mr. Liu. Marks turns around and sees Y/n sitting down on the bench.
Mark’s mind: “Ohh she’s here, I’m calling her over here”, “Hey! Y/n!”.
William and Amber : “Who’s Y/n??”, “It’s a new friend I made, I was hoping to introduce her to you guys, wait, I don't think she heard me.” “Hey! Y/n!”. Mark sees Y/n looking at her phone and quickly gets up and starts walking away fast.
Mark “Damn she didn't hear me”
William: “It's okay, maybe next time”. Y/n was running to catch the bus.
Y/n: “Phew, okay, I just need to pick up my brother”. She looks at the message again from Mr. Liu.
Text Message from MIster Liu : “I'll send you the details later for the task for when to do the task and remember don't ignore me or else”. She got off the bus.
Y/n mind: “fuckk mee I thought I was out cause I paid off the debt, why did I choose to borr–”.
Y/b: “Big Sis!” runs up to Y/n and hugs her.
Y/n: “Hey Y/b, how's school ?”, “It was fun, we learned how to multiply and blah blah blah”.
~~~~~~Time Pass~~~~~~
It's been a couple of days, and Y/n has been busy and running around all over the place. She hasn't talked to Mark since that day; every time English is done, she’ll sprint out the door. Also, the relationship between Amber and Mark isn't going so well, and he has been coming late to class or he doesn't show up at all. Apparently not just for school, according to everyone, work, dates, etc.Y/n and her brother went to Burger Mart to get dinner. They walked into the restaurant.
Y/n : “ Y/b, you know what you’re going to get?”, “Yeahh, Ima get a BM kids meal and maybe this time I’ll get the dinosaur”. He was jumping up and down, she looked up and saw Mark at the counter as a cashier.
Y/n mind: “Aww fuck he works here!, I really dont wanna talk to him–”.
Y/b : “Hello!!”, Y/’s brother ran up to the counter up to next to mark jumping up and down happily.
Mark giggled “, Heyy
Y/n: “Y/b don't do that, I’m sorry”.
Mark : “it’s okay dont perry, what yall going to get?”, “ohh right I'll just get a #2 meals with coke”, “yeah sure anything else?”.
Y/b : “ and can I get a kids meal, and I want it with nuggets and fries, ohh and apple juice”, “Alright then coming right up”, “Okiee thank you”, Y/b skips to a table to sit down and Y/n was trying to take out cash to pay for the meal. Marks holds up his hand.
Mark “Don't worry about it, it's in the house”. Y/n looks up at him.
Y/n: “What? No, you can't do that”. Marks crunches down and leans over to be near her face.
Mark “Yeah maybe you can pay me back another way”. Y/n starts to burn up and turns red.
Y/n “What do you mean another way ?”, “Well, by telling me why we haven't talked in a while, and it looks like you have been avoiding me”.
Y/n mind: “aww fuck”. She looks back at him, “W-well, it's nothing really, I've just been busy dealing with work and home stuff.” Mark was about to respond when the “Order #69, is ready, Mark, #2 meals and a kids meal”. Marks grabs the tray and says thank you to his co-worker, and goes back to Y/n and says “Oh wel,l I'm sorry but if you need anything just let me know, anything you just name it”, “yeahh and thank you again”, “yepp, have a good meal”. Y/n walks to where her brother was at the table and starts to eat, and Y/n's phone rings with a text.
Text message Mister Liu: “Here are the plans and the people that you’re going to work with during the mission, which is tonight at 12 pm. It is to steal from the Royal Gems Museum”. She crumbled up a napkin that she had on her hand.
Y/n mind “Dang it, I dont have to do this its fine,” she looks at Y/n eating his food happily, “or maybee, fuck it I’ll do it anything to see them happy and safe”
Mark Pov, he was looking over at Y/n, just staring at her.
Mark's mind: “I hope she's okay, hopefully it's nothing bad that's happening
Coworker: “Hey Mark, stop staring at the girl and help us with the orders.”
Mar: “I’m not staring”, “Hmm, sure you whatever lover boy”.
I am but a vessel.
Cw: a creepy continuation of the last story (so similar warnings), stalking, obsession, flipping perspectives (hers-his-hers)
The Chosen - pt. 2
MY PERSPECTIVE
I was still on my knees.
I didn’t know how long he’d been crouched in front of me.
I didn’t remember seeing him move. He was just suddenly there. Too close. Too wide. Taking up too much space even without his armor. Bare skin pale like a corpse’s under the flickering red lights, eyes reflecting something that wasn’t light at all.
I’d stopped crying. Not because I wasn’t afraid anymore. Because the fear had gone so deep I couldn’t reach it. It felt like lead laced my tendons, sewing my bones together with every moment of stagnation. I couldn't think. Couldn't breathe.
He hadn’t spoken again. He didn’t need to. He watched me like a craftsman watches a fire—admiring the way it moves, how it eats, how it sings.
Then, finally, he moved.
Not much. Just his head, tilting slightly. His hand rose, slow enough that I flinched before it even touched me. But it didn’t strike.
His fingertips hovered just above my cheek.
I could feel the heat off his skin. Just that close.
“You’re quieter now,” he said, softly.
His voice didn’t belong here. It belonged in cathedrals. In confessionals. In the air between dream and nightmare.
“Good.”
He let the word linger.
Then his hand moved.
He didn’t touch my cheek. He brushed back a lock of hair from my face. Gently. Like it mattered. Like I mattered.
And then, without blinking—
He said:
“Do you want to know my name?”
I opened my mouth, but my voice wouldn’t come.
He smiled.
My heart stuttered. He felt it.
Smiled.
“I’ll give it to you. So when you whisper it in the dark, you know why your hands shake.”
My heart stopped.
He leaned closer, until his lips were almost against my ear.
I couldn't tell if I was shaking or of he was just warping my sense of gravity.
“Cyrion.”
The sound of it made something twist deep in my chest. It wasn’t the name itself. It was the way he said it. Like it wasn’t just an identity. It was a weapon. A promise.
Cyrion.
He leaned back. Watched my face. Studied every twitch, every shallow breath.
“I’ve worn many names. But you’ll only need this one.”
My heart pounded. I felt sick. Lightheaded. The terror was changing again—sharpening, stretching, getting hot.
And he felt it. Gods, he felt it.
His breath hitched. Just once. A subtle shift in control.
“You’re starting to understand,” he murmured.
I didn’t know what he meant.
Then his eyes closed.
He inhaled.
Long. Slow. Deep.
And when they opened again, they glowed. Not just pale. Not just cruel. They shimmered with something else. Something... ecstatic.
“Your fear tastes different now,” he whispered. “You’re still afraid. But now..." he trailed off, a wide grin stretching across his face as his eyes traveled down my neck, watching my carotid pulse, "... now you’re afraid of wanting this.”
His eyes snapped up to meet mine.
I didn’t respond. Couldn’t.
Because he was right.
He tilted his head again, birdlike. Studying me.
“You think I found you by accident?” His voice was barely a whisper. “No. I saw you. Heard your blood call through the void. Slaanesh whispered your heartbeat into my dreams.”
That word—Slaanesh—cut through me like ice.
Heretic. Traitor. Monster.
And I couldn’t move.
Because a part of me—deep, awful, wrong—wanted to hear him say my name next.
...
Cyrion didn’t move again for a long time. He just stared. Watching the rise and fall of my chest. The twitch in my fingers. The way my eyes kept darting—not looking for an escape, but for him.
Like I couldn’t help it. Like my body was already learning where its new gravity lay.
When he finally did move, it was without sound. A shift in weight. A roll of his shoulder. The long stretch of one scarred hand toward the wall behind him.
He pressed something I couldn’t see.
A seam split open in the metal, slow and smooth.
A door I hadn’t seen. A passage that shouldn’t have been there.
“Come,” he said.
Not a command. Not even a request.
It was inevitability spoken aloud.
I didn’t stand right away. But I did stand. And that was worse. That I obeyed. That some part of me knew that following him was suicide dressed in a velvet robe—and still, I walked.
He stepped into the dark corridor and I followed, skin prickling as the temperature dropped.
This hallway hadn’t been walked by crew. It hadn’t been approved. It had been built. By him.
At the end was another door. A soft hiss. And then—
Light.
Faint. Red. Like coals beneath skin.
The room beyond was wrong.
It wasn’t a cell. It wasn’t a chamber. It was…
A shrine.
My breath caught. My knees nearly buckled.
The walls were covered in me.
Not photographs. Sketches. Renderings. Dozens of them. Charcoal, ink, blood. Some on parchment. Others directly carved into the metal.
Me asleep. Me at work. Me eating alone. Me walking down corridors I thought were empty.
And not just my face—my expressions.
Fear. Curiosity. Sadness. Loneliness. A look I didn’t even recognize, wide-eyed and empty, sitting in the dark with a broken cogitator.
He’d seen it all.
Every moment.
Every weakness.
Every private failure.
“This is…” My voice cracked. “This is—”
“Devotion,” he finished for me. “Not worship. Not yet. But soon.”
...
I turned slowly, the walls closing in. I couldn’t look at the drawings anymore. My own face staring back at me, again and again and again, surrounded by notes. Handwritten. Obsessive.
“She flinches when the lights flicker. Vulnerability point.”
“Sleeps curled to the left—defensive posture. Submissive instinct.”
“Stares at her own reflection too long. She knows something’s wrong with her.”
I shook. My stomach twisted. I felt sick.
But beneath the nausea—beneath the panic—was that horrible, blooming heat again.
Not desire. Not yet. But the gravity of it. The inevitability. The part of my body that understood something before my mind did:
This was already happening.
...
Cyrion circled behind me. His breath brushed my ear.
“I built this place for you.”
I closed my eyes.
“Not because I want to break you.”
His hand touched the small of my back—barely there. Just a weight. A promise.
“But because I want you to understand me.”
He leaned in, lips nearly at my throat.
“And in time,” he whispered, “you’ll thank me for this.”
I took a step back. I wasn’t in control of my feet anymore. My body was moving on instinct—trying to create space that didn’t exist. My spine hit the wall behind me and stayed there.
Cyrion didn’t move to block me. He didn’t have to. His presence already filled the room. His gaze pinned me tighter than his hands ever could.
And so I looked.
I didn’t want to. But I had to.
Because I needed to know how deep this went. How far.
...
The walls were only the beginning.
Past the sketches—beneath the curling edges of parchment, and notes written in a language I didn’t recognize—were objects. Hung in rows. Placed on shelves. Centered like relics.
My things.
A glove I’d lost two months ago. My hair tie. A ration tin I’d scribbled on when I was bored in the mess. A cracked mirror I thought I’d thrown out.
My scent. My touch. Pieces of me.
Cyrion had collected them. Curated them.
Worshipped them.
And then I saw the bed.
Not a cot. Not a bunk. A bed.
Not military. Not functional. A thing of intent. The frame was forged metal, shaped like ribs curling inward. The mattress—not padding. Something more organic. Treated leather? No. Something softer.
A sheet lay over it. Black. Silk. Smoothed perfectly flat.
Atop it—
A single collar.
A fucking collar.
Wide. Heavy. Bolted at the hinge. The inside lined with something soft. Worn. Used.
It wasn’t waiting to restrain me.
It was waiting to recognize me.
I let out a sound—somewhere between a sob and a laugh. My fingers pressed to my mouth like I could shove the noise back in.
Cyrion didn’t speak. He let the room speak for him.
I stepped away from the wall, trembling, and moved around the edge of the shrine. There was a desk—no, an altar. Covered in candles. Some melted down to the base, others fresh and waiting. But they weren’t arranged randomly.
They formed a circle.
Inside the circle—
A pillow.
A kneeling space.
Set low. My height.
He hadn’t just prepared to observe me.
He’d prepared to have me kneel.
I backed away so fast I nearly slipped on the smooth floor. My legs hit the edge of the bed, and I crumpled there, half-fallen, hands gripping the sheets like they’d burn me if I let go.
And then I saw the ceiling.
A mirror.
Angled perfectly to reflect the bed.
My chest heaved. I couldn’t breathe.
This wasn’t a room.
It was a stage.
A sanctum.
A trap.
My trap.
He had built it around me, before I even knew I was prey.
Then—his voice. Low. From the door.
“You were always meant to see it.”
I looked up.
He wasn’t smiling now. Not the way he had before.
His expression was something deeper.
Reverent.
“You’ve seen the pieces. The art. The worship. The want.”
He took a step forward.
“And still you’re here.”
He stopped at the edge of the altar. The candles lit as he passed—no spark, no flame. They just… obeyed.
“I won’t take you tonight,” he said. “Not yet.”
He turned toward me, one hand lifted like a benediction.
“I want you to dream of this first.”
And then he whispered something—in a language not meant for mortal tongues.
And the lights went out.
Not flickering. Not dimming.
Just gone.
Like they’d been devoured.
The shrine room vanished into black, and my lungs seized. I could hear my pulse in my teeth. A high ringing in my ears like pressure dropping too fast.
I didn’t wait.
I ran.
I didn’t care where. I didn’t care how. I just spun on instinct and bolted—hands out, reaching for a wall, a door, anything.
...
HIS PERSPECTIVE
She was running again.
He didn’t need to see it.
Didn’t need to hear the frantic slap of her boot's soles against cold metal.
He felt it.
The way her terror spiked—sharp and hot—before blurring at the edges. Like blood blooming through water.
It didn’t happen all at once. No, her fear unfolded like a flower.
Slow. Fragrant. Dripping with meaning.
It began in the throat—
That first catch of breath when she thought she was alone but knew she wasn’t.
Then the heart—
Beating too fast to be controlled. But still trying.
Then the limbs—
Shaking without understanding why. Her body reacting before her mind. Prey instinct.
Then the skin—
Slick. Her fear precipitating into a layer that covers her entire vessel. The muscles under her skin flinching with every noise she hears.
And Cyrion…
Cyrion tasted every note of it.
It seeped into him. Not through the skin. Not through sorcery. But through the bond. The one she opened the first time she whispered "don’t". The first time she dreamed of hands not touching her, and woke aching.
...
Slaanesh had given him many gifts.
But none so exquisite as this:
To feel another being from the inside.
To drink their fear not with fangs or bloodletting—but with reverence.
It came to him like scent, like song.
Her panic in the vents?
Bright. Metallic. Full of motion.
Her breathless awe in the shrine?
Heavy. Dense. Laced with shame and something else—curiosity.
That was his favorite.
Not the spike of terror, but the slow, confused arousal that followed.
She didn’t understand it. Not yet. But her fear was already changing.
He could feel it.
Not diluted. Not weakened.
Refined.
It was taking on flavor. Nuance. Becoming hers. A signature. A taste he could pick out of a thousand screaming souls.
And she didn’t even know.
Not yet.
But soon.
...
Cyrion stood at the edge of the chamber she would enter next.
He didn’t need doors.
The walls opened for him. They knew his scent. His step. His will.
She would think she was lost.
She would believe she had escaped.
And when she rounded the next corridor—
And saw what he’d prepared—
When she trembled again, for the third time tonight—
He would drink it.
Not with his mouth.
But with the space between them.
And he would whisper—in her own breath—
You were made for this.
MY PERSPECTIVE
The corridor was still open. I must’ve made it out because my shoulder slammed against the frame, tore a strip of skin off as I scraped by, and then I was moving again.
The hall beyond was black too. But I felt the shape of it. Felt the air shift around me. It wasn’t empty anymore. The temperature had dropped.
Everything was colder.
Except for me.
I was burning.
I turned corners I couldn’t see. Boots pounding the metal grates. I didn’t care about the noise. Let him hear. Let him chase. I couldn’t be there anymore. Not in that room. Not with that bed. That mirror. That collar.
...
My palm hit a sealed bulkhead.
No lock. No pad. Seamless.
My breath came in sharp gasps. Panic had become its own rhythm, hammering through my bones. I turned, slamming my fist against the wall, trying to remember—where was the way out? How had I come in?
I turned again.
And I froze.
Because I saw nothing.
But I felt him.
Close.
Not ahead.
Behind.
I didn’t hear him. Didn’t breathe him. Didn’t even smell that burn-sweet incense scent he carried like skin.
I felt the air lean inward. Press like a hand at the small of my back.
I backed away, arms raised. My voice came out hoarse, broken.
“Stop—”
No sound replied. No movement. No chase.
Just that pressure.
I stumbled sideways. Another hall. A vent. A shaft—somewhere I could squeeze, somewhere he couldn’t.
I dropped to my hands and knees and crawled, metal biting my skin, the vent walls rattling faintly with every breath I sucked through clenched teeth.
And then—clink.
A faint sound.
Not metal. Not behind me.
Below.
Something beneath the vent. Following. Matching pace.
I crawled faster. Panic now cold, sharp, slicing into me. My elbows bled. My knees screamed. I didn’t stop.
A sliver of light ahead—white. Emergency backup. Glitching and dim, but real.
I reached it. Rolled out of the vent, collapsed in a narrow crawlspace lined with access panels.
I pushed myself up. Started running again—palms and knees bleeding, blind with terror.
Then I saw the door.
Real. Mechanical. Old. But open.
I rushed it.
Slid through.
And froze.
HIS PERSPECTIVE
The ship was his now.
Not in name. Not in title.
But in pulse.
He had carved through its corridors like a blade through soft flesh—silent, methodical, loving.
Every door she passed was a choice she didn’t make. Every hallway was a strand in the web he’d wound with patient hands and perfect memory.
And now, she was almost there.
The next room.
The next stage.
...
He stood in it, barefoot, eyes closed, breathing her fear as it echoed faint and fading through the vents behind him.
Soon, she’d find it.
And she’d understand.
Not everything.
But enough.
...
The room was simple. Purposeful.
Low light, dim and amber, like a dying sun through smoke. The floor was padded—soft, warm, almost fleshy in feel. Covered in layered silks and sheer gauze, designed not for comfort, but for submission.
No sharp corners. No harsh lights.
Just softness.
That’s what made it worse.
Terror was easy to endure when it was sharp. Loud. Crude.
But here—here it coaxed.
In the center: a pedestal. Wide enough to kneel on.
Low enough to lie against.
Carved into its base were symbols—Slaanesh’s glyphs of yielding. They weren’t screaming for blood.
They purred for surrender.
To one side: a small basin of water.
Steam curling off the surface, scented with a hint of perfume she’d used weeks ago. One he’d taken from her things, from her bedroll. Bottled. Preserved. Repurposed.
A cloth hung neatly beside it. Clean. Fresh. Soft enough to wrap a throat.
And then—opposite that—his mark.
On the wall.
Low. Subtle.
Her name carved in High Gothic.
Once.
Only once.
But beneath it, in a smaller script, his name.
Not Cyrion.
Not the name she heard.
But the real one.
The one he hadn’t spoken aloud since before he’d torn the hearts from his sergeant’s chest and given them to the dark.
The name only she would be allowed to know.
Because she would earn it.
She wouldn’t scream in this room.
Not yet.
She’d kneel.
...
He felt her coming.
Closer now. Heartbeat rising again.
She was hesitating. Good. That meant she could feel it.
The room would smell like peace to her at first. Like rest. Like stillness after panic.
That was intentional.
He wanted her to believe—for a breath, just one breath—that the horror was over.
So when she broke, it wouldn’t be from pain.
It would be from the realization.
That this had never been about the chase. This was always about offering.
He stepped back into the shadows as the wall behind him peeled open, silent and slow.
She was there.
Close.
Breathing too fast.
Not running. Not yet.
Cyrion smiled.
And disappeared.
MY PERSPECTIVE
The room inside wasn’t maintenance.
It wasn’t anything at all.
It was his again.
A new shrine. Not finished.
Sketches half-done. Candles unlit. The walls still blank—but waiting. Expectant.
In the center: a chair. Tall. Wide. Shackled. Empty.
And on the wall behind it, written in something wet and gleaming—maybe ink, maybe not—was a single word:
Welcome.
Behind me, the door sealed shut.
And I realized I had never been running through a ship.
I had been running through his design.
His labyrinth.
Made for me.
Simon Riley with a user who basically kidnaps herself. CW : Masturbation, mentions of oral
It started with the little things. You felt the hairs on the back of your neck raise more frequently. You heard heavy breathing and a slick sound at night coming from your slightly open window. A blank account following your public instagram account.
You then started seeing him. A tall burly man that seemed to always appear In the corner of your eye. You never saw his face because of the balaclava he wore. And that frustrated you.
Hell, if a guy is going to stalk you, the least he can do is not hide his face.
Eventually, you got sick of it. You let the brute of a man follow you home as usual. Let him watch you 'sleep' through your window while he fisted his cock. And then when he went home, you followed him.
You honestly thought he'd catch you. Feel you watching him. Following him home. But it seemed that his post orgasmic haze rendered him vulnerable.
You followed the man to a nice looking home. Not huge or anything, but It was cozy.
You then watched through a window as he drank a glass of whiskey, before walking through the home to his bedroom.
You quickly rushed to the bedroom window, glad the blinds weren't fully shut.
The man then sat down on his bed, pulling something from his bedside drawer-hey wait, are those your fucking panties you lost? Sneaky bastard. Those are your favourite.
And now he's fisting his cock again. Only this time, he's taken off that stupid balaclava to sniff them and-oh.
Oh.
Fuck, he's hot.
Those scars, the dirty blonde hair, the slightly crooked nose from being broken so many times, Jesus H Christ.
Yeah. To say you were thinking of this mans face between your thighs was an understatement. He might genuinely be one of the hottest men you've ever seen.
You quickly went home, going to the blank account that had followed you, and with a few clicks, you found the guys private instagram. Simon Riley. He's not the only person who's good at stalking.
You then found out that he was in the military. A Lieutenant. Seemed to be really private. No matter though, you already knew where he lived.
The following day, you took the day off work, and broke into Simon's home. Moving almost all of your stuff in. He wouldn't mind.
Then, when Simon walked into his house he stopped dead in his tracks as he saw you, sipping from one of his mugs, on his couch.
The woman he'd been stalking for nearly a year.
"I-what-what are you doing here?" He muttered, eyes wide as he took off his balaclava.
"You should have shown me your face earlier. I would have moved in ages ago" you shrugged.
"Moved in?" Simon almost squeaked.
⛧°. ⋆𓌹♰𓌺⋆. °⛧
before you all panic, yes. There will be a part two :p
Edit! ~ there's a part 2 you thirsty animals ⟢ right here! ❤︎
CW: stalking behaviour, over protective 141, fluff.
“See her coming out now.” Ghost says over the radio.
“Afirm.” Soap’s voice comes back almost instantly. Ghost watches as you stumble over the pavement, pulling your jacket over your shoulders. It’s almost 3am, and most clubs are closing. The friend you came out with left an hour ago. Now you’re alone, drunk, swaying through the streets of London on a busy Saturday night.
“Watch your distance Soap, no need to spook her.” Price says.
“Copy.” Soap says as he weaves his way through the crowd of clubbers spilling out of the various nightclubs and bars. He keeps his head low, making sure to keep a safe distance from you. They’re not going to lose sight of you though. That’s what Ghost is for.
He slips between the crowds on the other side of the street, slipping into the shadows every opportunity he gets.
“She’ll take the next right. Don’t lose her.” Price says as you pick up your pace slightly. He’ll be driving to the next location, ready to pick you up at a moment's notice. You pull your phone out, typing while you struggle to keep your balance. Ghost lost track of how many drinks you had.
It was a celebration after all, your friend getting a big promotion, she took you to one of the fanciest bars in the city. Even though she left early you still seemed to be having fun, helping yourself to another drink before finally deciding to call it a night.
The streets off the main road are darker, quieter. Less room for error.
Suddenly you make a sharp turn, almost throwing your body down a dark alleyway. Ghost’s lost visual, he speeds up his strides, he has no idea if the alley is a dead end or not.
“Soap, don’t lose her.” Ghost orders panic building in his chest. There’s no reply, now Ghost can’t even see Soap. “Soap, confirm visual on the target.”
Ghost jogs to the next street over, nothing but shuttered buildings and the odd person heading home.
“Stand-by.” The seconds feel like they’re ticking on for hours. “Eyes on target, she’s-”
The line goes silent.
“She’s just throwing up, seems like she’s had a few too many.” Soap says. Ghost can almost hear the collective sigh as he slips back into the darkness waiting for you to emerge from the alley. When you do you seem even more unsteady on your feet.
“Keep it tight, she’s got another main strip to cross.” Price says. He’ll be moving on already. The amount of times you’ve walked this route. The amount of times they’ve practiced this route, it’s almost like a rehearsed play they could do in their sleep.
You move on weaving through the growing crowds of the next cluster of clubs. They seem busier than the last. You work through them quickly, Soap keeping his distance, pushing through people without a care. He has one motive, one mission; never lose sight of you.
As you make it to the quieter end of the street a group of lads cat-call you. You brush it off waving at them as you skip over to the next turn. Almost home.
“ETA 10 minutes.” Ghost says hugging the shadows on the opposite side of the street.
“Copy,” Price says, he will be in his final position. For the next few minutes the walk goes smoothly, you’re almost home, almost safe.
“Got a guy on her six, just overtook me.” Soap says. Ghost’s eyes flick over in an instant.
“I see.” Ghost says, watching as the man’s pace slows. “Hang back Soap. I got eyes.”
Ghost doesn’t even hear a reply, his eyes digging into the man now following a few steps behind you. You seem to notice too, quickly taking a peak over your shoulder, pulling your jacket around you tighter. You’re almost there, almost home.
“Want me to grab him?” Soap asks. As he says it you pick up your speed, your body straightens up.
“Negative.”
You turn into the front garden of the house, shutting the gate behind you. The hairs rise on the back of your neck as you fumble with the key pressing it into the lock and opening the door. The feeling of being followed suddenly fades as you make it inside, locking the door behind you.
“Hey, welcome home.” Kyle says, sticking his head out the kitchen. You smile walking over to him and wrapping your hands around his neck.
“It’s late, you didn’t have to wait up.” you say pressing your lips on his. He kisses you back, his hands gripping your waist.
“Needed to make sure you got home safe.” You hear John say. You break from the kiss looking over at him sitting at the kitchen island with a cup of tea in front of him. You walk over wrapping your arms around him from behind squeezing him.
The smell of tea fills your nose and makes you thirsty.
“Cuppa? Or bed?” Kyle asks, walking over, placing his hand on the small of your back. You hum looking round the kitchen.
“Where’s Johnny and Simon?” You ask.
“Sleeping, they’re not used to staying up as late as you are.” John chuckles. You smile looking up at Kyle.
“Bed.” You say. He smiles back at you kissing the top of your head.
“C’mon, I’ll give you a hand.” Kyle says pulling on your waist turning you to the stairs. John hears you giggling as you stumble up the steps to the first floor. A few seconds later the back door slowly opens, Johnny and Simon slipping in. John raises an eyebrow, quickly checking behind him to make sure you’re definitely gone.
“You better hurry up, I’m pretty sure she’s looking to climb into your bed tonight.” John says as Simon and Johnny look at eachother. Johnny's smiles, taking his coat off and leaving his radio on the kitchen island.
“Get some rest cap, you look exhausted.” Johnny says, patting him on the shoulder as he passes him. John sighs looking up at Simon.
“Another successful night.” John says as Simon puts his radio down.
“Always.” Simon smiles.
You don't go to the library to study. You go there to have your cunt stuffed, by nonother than librarian!Gojo.
He works there 5 days a week, and you made sure to be there by your corner every single one of those days, carefully staring at him through the side of your book. Of course, he's well aware of your interest in him. You're so preoccupied with him you don't even realise you're holding the book upside down.
He doesn't realise it yet but he's slow to share the same amount of attraction to you as you are to him. He'd note the way your eyebrows would adorably scrunch together when you're actually doing your assignment for once, and you'd collapse face down onto the table when the frustration and exhaustion caught up to you. Or how your favourite colour seemed to be pink, your stationery and laptop covered in different shades of the colour.
He's used to your presence by now, having spent the last couple of weeks observing you just as you stalked him through the library. And truth to be told, he actually enjoyed it—he's got a cutie following behind him, too shy to strike up a conversation with him and too dumb to hide your little crush any better.
You quickly became the only part of his job he would look forward to, questioning what kind of crap you were going to pull up to just right before his shift. Until you're gone all of a sudden.
Maybe you were just late, he thought on the first day of your absence. Or maybe you're sick by the second day. Perhaps you're just busy with school…or maybe some another guy—
Why does he even care in the first place? You're just some stalker with a pretty face, nothing special out of the sea of girls in his DMs. Gojo doesn't like how he's fretting over a girl who he hasn't talked to before, your presence doesn't control how his day goes anyway.
Until it does.
It exasperated him by how he allowed himself to be subjugated under you. He can't focus on his seminars when the voices in his head wonder about you louder than the lecturer's, he can't flirt with the chicks on campus without thinking about that fangirl from the library and he can't sleep if his head is filled with the images of you with another guy.
What kind of spell have you managed to put him under?
He was completely and utterly chafed by the next week when he entered his shift, a frown seemingly marked permanently upon his face as he went through his chores, putting away the books back to their categorised shelves. That was until he heard a familiar pit-pats of your shoes, and saw your figure stupidly hiding behind a bookshelf from the side of his eye.
His playful spirit returned when he noted your presence, and he wandered further into the library, where no one could see the two of you. As expected, you shuffled along his steps before slipping yourself into the aisle behind him, pretending to flick through the choices of books on display.
Those were Chinese novels, and you majored in Biochemistry. Idiot, he thought with an internal chuckle.
Unbeknownst to you, he had strolled to your back, waiting for you to turn to face him. Your eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when you found him standing right in front of you, and you froze then and there like a deer in the headlights.
"I know you've been stalking me around here," he had a shit-eating smirk on his face as his arms rested by your sides to trap you in between them. "Freak," he whispered next to your ears, sending a tingle through your nerves.
"I-I, ah—" you stammered, trying to collect your words to sound coherent. Your face was flushed bloody red with embarrassment, and Gojo was sure he'd burn himself if he were to touch you.
"But that's okay…" he drawled. "I won't spread the word if you listen to me."
Your eyes were wide, gaping at him through your lashes as you nodded.
Fuck, were you adorable.
"You like me, huh?"
"Uhm…I, uh…"
"Hm?"
"Y-Yes," you blurted with your eyes squeezed shut, too embarrassed. Your breath was hot, and they scorched his cheeks red upon your words.
"What do you like about me?" oh god does he love teasing the hell out of you.
"Your f-face…"
"My face?" he feigned dumb. Of course, he's well aware that girls would only come chasing after his looks. But he absolutely enjoyed torturing you with his stupid questions. "Which part of my face?"
"Huh…?" your eyes were spinning, your hands raising to push his frame a little away for your comfort.
"My eyes? My nose?" his bigger hand captured the two of yours into his grasp, his fingers were icy cold against yours, and his face neared yours once again, merely a breath away. "Or my lips?"
You didn't dare to answer, the sound of your throat gulping filled the air as a few stray hairs of his tickled your cheek. His eyes peered towards yours, catching your gaze that fell upon his lips.
"There, huh?" Gojo's smirk widened, his grip on your wrists tightening a fraction. "Wanna try them?"
You opened your mouth to respond, but no words left your trembling lips, except for a silent gasp. He took the shift of your feature as a sign for him to advance onto you, his lips gently sucked on your soft flesh, the tiniest amount of your saliva flowed onto his tongue and they tasted better than the finest honey.
A string of your mixed essence connected his lips to yours, red and swollen as a sign of his kiss, when he pulled away. Your knees weakened in enfeeblement, and Gojo caught you before you could fall to the ground.
"You're done?" his arms are strong, and you could feel his muscles flex under your hand when you gathered your strength to stabilise on your feet. "I'm not."
His touches slowly trailed down from your arm to your hips, and you subconsciously rubbed your thighs together when his gaze fell onto them. In his eyes you could see a growing hunger that lurked beneath his bright blue eyes, it was the darker gradient that hung low in his orbs.
"Do you touch yourself here when you think of me?" your teeth sank into the flesh of your bottom lip and your eyes peered down to between your skirt, where his hand was as you vaguely nodded; hoping that he didn't see the faint motion of your head.
How wouldn't he know when all his attention is on you? His eyes scanned the faint shifts in your features when he pressed against your heat, making sure there wasn't any hint of dissent to his touch—and mostly searching for the muted salacity behind your pretty eyes.
"Sometimes…" your voice was meek, but it was audible enough for his ear to twitch at your words. His chest almost burst to your confession, and the images of your features twisting into lewd faces flashed past his mind, calling out his name with that sweet voice of yours.
A soft moan left your lips when his fingers slipped past your pink panty, drawing slow circles upon your clit. Your hips bucked as he teased, his other hand coming down to palm your ass.
"What about I make you feel good?" he gently asked, and you drunkenly nodded to your pleasure. His thumb grew charge of teasing your hardening bud, his two long fingers dipped into your already-slick cavern, reaching the sensitive parts of your inside.
Your lips tensed into a line to quell the moans that drew from your itching tummy, and your hands rested on Gojo's chest, gripping onto his shirt for support.
His fingers grew greedy for more of your whimpers, stroking past your walls, searching for the velvety spot in you. You threw your head back when he found the part he was looking for, pumping out and into the spongey surface, stimulating your nerves to their limit.
Your eyebrows furrowed and your eyelids flew shut when he expedited the speed of his slick-coated digits, his arm growing slightly sore as he carried you to the height of your orgasm. His cock twitched when you drew out a cry of pleasure, your breath stuck in your throat as your mind went blank from your high.
Your grip on his clothes loosened, and you panted as you rest your weight against the shelves, Gojo's damp fingers evident of the pleasure he delivered to you. He watched as you collected your remaining breath, your cheeks flushed pink in arousal and your eyesight slowly blinked clear.
A bolt flash of surprise ran through his eyes when you carefully pulled his pants down, gripping his hardened girth with your warm hands. Gojo stopped you with a grab of your wrist, your whole body tensing in creeping embarrassment—he doesn't like it when you touch him?
Your thoughts flew out the window when he spat onto your palm, before guiding your hand back to his throbbing cock. Your mind grew blank as you began fisting his length, his breath hitching when you rubbed over his pinkish-red tip.
Your touches were filled with careful inexperience, and Gojo found it absolutely fucking adorable. The soft squelching of his saliva in your hand as you pumped his cock filled the air, and he inched closer to kiss you once again.
His groans flowed into your mouth as he slipped his tongue into your mouth, drinking in the taste of you as you pleased him. You seemed to be a quick learner on your own, pumping his pulsing cock faster, gripping onto him tighter, and rubbing his sensitive tip of all.
His hips stuttered along with the movements of your hand, a sign of his close release and you were clearly relentless to please him. Your pace doesn't falter, but fastened instead and his moans muffled through your sloppy kiss, your mixed drool dripping down your chin and onto your chest.
"Fuck," his voice cracked as his cock twitched, before ejaculating his hot semen onto your clothes, slowly dripping down to your thigh. Your breaths mingled in the sultry air, the smell of your essences filled your nostrils as the both of you cooled from the aftermath of your highs.
You recognised the dirty smirk on his face when you flicked your gaze up at him, and you sank into the bookshelf in preparation for what he had conjured up in his mind.
"The library closes in 30 minutes, we'll get the whole place to ourselves by then."
snooping through rafe's phone while he's sleeping
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: rafe cameron x pogue!reader cw: fluffff, crude words, nothing else really a/n: my first fluff fic ^_^ he looks so yummy in this pic
you have been dating the kook prince, rafe cameron, for a few months now and it definitely came with its challenges. being a pogue, a lot of his friends and family disapproved. but, rafe proved himself and stood by you the whole time. your relationship with him is secure, but, sometimes, your insecurities and doubts cloud your judgement. why would he want to be with you when he can have anyone on the island?
the overthinking on this specific night went on haywire. topper and kelce invited rafe to a party, but he declined, because he promised to stay in and watched movies with you. he never declines a reason to go party. so why would he now?
throughout the movie, he kept to himself, quiet. he hums in agreement when you voice an opinion and shrugs in answer when you ask him a question. after the movie, he immediately went to sleep. on the other hand, your eyes couldn't stay shut no matter how much you forced it to. beside you, rafe was in deep slumber with his arms around you and him snoring softly behind your ears.
you usually wouldn't do this, but the insecurities were eating inside you. you slowly lifted his heavy arms off your body which forced him to turn to the other side. he begins to stir but no signs of waking up. you reached over to his bedside table and grabbed his phone. the bright screen illuminated your face and a photo of you two at a bonfire stared back. it was a selfie that he took, he was kissing your cheek as your wide-teethed smile faced the camera. you faced the screen towards his sleeping face to open it. he didn't have many notifications and only one caught your eye. it was sent at 9:16 pm.
topper : broo this party is going crazy, you're missing out
topper : hope that pogue bitch is worth it
you clicked on the notification which took you to the messages app. you scrolled up until you see the first message of the day that topper sent at 6:03 pm.
topper : yo. party at kelce's tonite. gonna be crazy asf
rafe : no thanks, spending the night with my girl tonight
topper : bro r u serious? this is the second time ure blowing us off
topper : and for what? some lame pogue bitch
rafe : don't u fucking dare talk about her like that
rafe : leave her the fuck alone before i fuck u up
you left the chat and scrolled through his other chats. you were too focused on stalking each one that you didn't realize rafe waking up. he watched you for a minute before speaking. “find anything?”
you gasped in shock, your face turned beet root in embarrassment. you slowly handed rafe his phone back. “no...” you whispered. he took his phone from you and locked it before placing it back on the nightstand. “i'm sorry, i know it's wrong but you were being so quiet tonight i can't help but wonder.”
“baby, you know i love you,” he said as he pulled you into him. “i'm not doing a good job as your boyfriend if i'm making your pretty little head doubt.”
“no, it just me. i'm sorry,” you sigh out as he combs his fingers through your hair.
“next time, if i'm not acting right, you sort me out,” he says sternly. “and stop saying sorry.”
Previous part
While cleaning up Jason heard a knock on his door so he got up and looked through the peephole. Why is Dick here? After mentally preparing himself for social interaction he opened the door. "What're you doing here?"
"What? Don't want to see me?" There's his stupid smile again.
Jason pinched the bridge of his nose. "Not when you show up at my safe house without warning, one of these days you're going to lead someone right to me, safe houses are supposed to be secret y'know?"
Dick walked in and looked around the place. "Sorry, Little wing"
"If you're going to stay here atleast help me clean" Jason tossed a broom his way.
Dick didn't complain- a small blessing -so Jason walked to the kitchen and started putting things away. A few minutes later he worked his way back to the living room, where Dick was still sweeping for some reason. Is he sweeping with one hand?
"It's a lot easier if you use both hands Dickhead" Dick turned around and his sleeve rode up his arm just enough for Jason to see a bit of white peak out. Jason stalked forward and ignored whatever it was Dick said in favor of pulling his sleeve up to reveal bandages.
"What the hell Dickhead, you're injured?!" Jason was suddenly wishing Dick had complained when he asked him to clean.
"It's just a broken arm"
Jason narrowed his eyes. "Then why isn't it in a cast?"
Dick's smile faltered a little. "I didn't go to the cave yesterday" That explains why Alfred didn't give him a cast but it opened a whole nother can of questions.
"Why didn't you go to the cave?"
"Didn't want to see B, you'd know the feeling" Jason does, he knows it better than anyone else.
"Did you get into a fight?"
"No -just didn't want him to know something" Everything Dick said just gave Jason more and more questions.
"Fine keep your secrets" Jason pulled out his own med kit and spent the next half hour redoing Dick's bandages and nagging him about not telling him sooner. He wouldn't push anything just yet, he wanted to do some research first.
---
Jason looked into whatever caused Dick to break his arm but there wasn't any clues, he'd even spoke about it to Tim to purposefully peak his curiosity and get him to look into it. Tim had found out it'd been caused by a fall but not much else. Bruce acted the same way too, he's hit a dead end so the next thing to do is get information from the source.
Jason observed Dick for a few months, most of the time he acted normally but every once in a while he noticed Dick become more quiet, less focused. He didn't know if it was related to what he wanted to keep Bruce from knowing but he investigated it anyway.
He noticed that sometimes Dick would wait for others to interact with him before doing so himself, everytime he did that he'd send him an unsure look. Those weren't the only times Dick sent him that look though, it was getting concerning.
Does he think I'd get mad? Is he scared of me? It'd make sense to wait for others to interact with him if Dick was judging his mood, it'd also explain the looks. Am I really that bad of a brother?
There were still so many questions, why did Dick only act like that some of the time? What is he keeping from Bruce? Did he do anything to make Dick so cautious? It hurt his brain so Jason decided to get it over with and confront him.
Dick was talking to himself inside his apartment, Jason didn't care about what. He slipped into the window and waved. Dick gave him a look, it looked reminiscent of one he couldn't place half a year ago but now? Jason knew it was Panic and... Fear.
I was right, he's scared of me.
Jason didn't approach, he gave a smile too. It was forced but hopefully it'd make Dick calm down. Dick didn't calm down, if anything he looked more panicked, his eyes darted between Jason and a spot near the hall.
Dick's behaviour was similar to one of a cornered animal ready to run and it made Jason sick. How could he have missed this?
Here goes nothing. "I'm not mad at you, I don't know what I did to make you think that but I'm not."
"What do you mean?"
He should've expected him to not admit it. "For months you've been hesitant to interact with me, you observe my movements, you keep acting strangely. I'm not going to attack you! ...sorry for whatever I did"
Jason knew that wasn't how they were trained to act in these situations but he just couldn't stay calm right now. He accidentally knocked into a chair in Dick's living room, Dick's eyes snapped to the furniture. Dick seemed relieved? Dick glanced back to the hall and finally started walking towards him.
What just happened? Dick hugged him. "I'm not scared of you, Little Wing"
"Then why?"
Dick squeezed just a bit tighter. "I can't tell you"
"So you are scared of me"
Dick shook his head. "No, I'm not. Just- I have hallucinations... of you" Jason pulled out of the hug and looked for any hints of dishonesty. This had to be a lie. "I've been acting weird cause I didn't know if you were real"
Jason's brain shut down, Dick's eyes were so full of sincerity, it made sense. It wasn't supposed to make sense.
"I'll have to tell the others"
"I know"
"You can't keep shit like that a secret"
"I know"
"You're not leaving my sight"
"Can we atleast cuddle in the bedroom?" Jason nodded into Dick's shoulder.
Dick couldn't have felt more love for his brother and Jason happily welcomed the cuddles into his life if it helped Dick with his hallucinations.
Tumblr media
“I’m free tonight. We can start working on the project.” You tell the guy walking beside you as you both step out of the lecture hall.
“Yeah, that works. How’s seven?” He asks, holding the door open for you.
“That should be fine.” You say with a small smile
You don’t know him well, barely noticed him until today when he’d ask if you’d be his partner. But before the conversation could continue, a voice cuts through the noise of campus.
“Y/n!”
You turn, scanning the crowd until your eyes land on him. Your father stands in the middle of the quad, his team beside him. The weight of their stares settles over you.
Your brows furrow as you step toward them.
“Why are you here?” The words come out sharper than you intend, but you don’t back down.
Your father’s expression hardens. “You don’t know? Do you not stay informed on what happens around you?”
His tone makes you stiffen. “Mr. Hotchner.” The dean interjects carefully, stepping forward. “We’ve chosen to keep things as contained as possible. We don’t want to incite panic among the students.”
“Not warning them is more dangerous.” Rossi counters, unimpressed.
The dean exhales. “I understand your concerns but unless you’ve run a college campus, you don’t understand the position we’re in.”
You glance past your father at his team. Faces you recognize from home but haven’t seen since you left Virginia. They watch the exchange closely, some with sympathy, others with quiet apprehension.
“What’s going on?” You finally ask.
Your father doesn’t answer right away. Instead, he reaches for your arm, his grip firm but not forceful. “Come with us.”
You were led into the campus security building, where case files are scattered across tables. Your eyes flick to a white-board in the next room, crime scene photos pinned in a neat but unsettling arrangement.
“Shut that.” his voice is sharp, and when you glance back at him, his expression his unreadable.
“We were called here because there's been a series of murders on campus. Young woman.” he says, locking eyes with you.
For the first time, you see it, the fear beneath his controlled demeanor.
You don’t know how to respond, but when he lays down three photographs, fear settles in your chest.
“Sarah Johnston, Abigail Smith, Elizabeth Adam’s.” He lists “Do you see a pattern?”
Your stomach twists. Hair color, similar build. Even the way they smiled in their photos. You and these girls resembled each other.
“Could be a coincidence,” you murmur, though you don't believe it.
“It’s not, he has a type.” he firmly says “You can't be alone on this campus. Travel in groups, carry your pepper spray, and you are not to be alone with any male students.”
You exhale, shaking your head. “I have a project to do with a guy from my class-”
“Meet in a public space, surrounded by people.” Rossi interjects.
“The library is packed, and the study rooms are booked.”
“Cancel.” your father orders. “Tell him you're sick, do it now.”
Your eyes widen. “Are you serious?”
Your father stares. That look, the one that's ended entire arguments without him saying another word. You hesitate, but your fingers move, typing the message before holding up your phone for his approval.
“Good.” he nods, then turns to Reid. “Take her to her dorm, please.”
“I can walk myself.”
He exhales sharply, rubbing a hand over his face. “Why can't you just listen for once?” his voice rises, frustration creeping in.
Your mouth opens, then snaps shut.
“What about everyone else?” you challenge, voice tight. “The girls who aren't getting warnings? The ones who don't have an agent escorting them to their dorms? This isn't fair. I'm just a student like the rest of them. I don't need your protection.”
“You don't understand, and right now, I don't care if you do.” he says, his tone final. “My only concern is getting you to your room. And you're staying there for the rest of the night. Reid, take her.”
“If it helps.” Emily adds gently, resting a hand on your shoulder. “A statement is going out today. The school is setting up hotlines, resources, and people will be warned.”
You let out a slow breath. It doesn't make you feel better. Not really.
“Fine.” you turn on your heel, heading for the door. Spencer Reid following right behind you.
The walk back to your dorm is quiet, not awkward, just silent.
When you step inside, you toss your bag onto your bed and gesture toward the other one. “You can sit there. My roommate dropped out a while ago, so no one uses it.”
Reid hesitates before sitting. “Does your dad know?”
You glance at home, confused. “Why would he?”
He shrugs. “I don’t know. I just thought that’s something a father would want to know.”
You let out a short, humorless laugh. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our relationship is… complicated.”
“Yeah.” He says, nodding slightly. “I get that.”
You eye him for a second. “You and your dad close?”
Reid shifts in his seat, before you can take it back, he says. “He left my mom and me when I was a kid.”
You frown. “I’m sorry.”
He shakes his head. “Doesn’t affect me anymore.”
There’s a moment of quiet before you decide to change the subject. “I have some games. Do you like Jenga?”
That earns a small chuckle from him. “Yeah.”
You kneel beside your bed, pulling out the game. There were probably better things you could be doing, like assignments or your project, but this seemed like a better way to pass the time.
As you both set up the blocks on the floor, you smirk. “Usually when I play, my friends and I have a rule. Whoever knocks it over takes two shots.”
Reid gives you an amused look. “Are you even legal to drink?” You raise an eyebrow. “What, are you gonna tell my dad?”
He tilts his head. “Should I?”
You laugh. “I don’t think it’ll surprise him, I’m pretty sure he expects worse.”
Reid’s expression shifts slightly. “You know, your dad talks about you a lot. He’s very proud of you.” You freeze for a second. “Really?”
“Yeah.” Reid nodded.
You swallow, shifting slightly. “Huh. Didn’t know that.”
He doesn’t say anything else, instead gestures to the game. “You go first.”
The game begins, each turn making the tower more unsteady. Eventually, Spencer study’s the blocks carefully, trying to find a safe one to pull.
“This is getting difficult.” He mutters, eyes narrowed.
You laugh, watching as he finally picks one and pushes it, only for the entire tower to collapse.
“Shit.” He murmurs under his breath causing your eyes to widen. “Did you just cuss?” You teased.
Reid shakes his head with a smirk, while you get up and dig through your closet. When you return, you hold up a bottle. “Two shots?”
His eyes practically pop out of their sockets. “I’m working.” You scrunch your face. “Is it really called working when you’re watching an adult?”
“I’m still on duty.” He argues. “Your dad would fire me.”
You roll your eyes. “My dad loves you. But fine Spencer, be lame.” Before he could reply, there’s a knock at the door. You both glance at each other.
“I got it, " you say, heading toward the door forgetting there was a killer on the loose and Spencer Reid wasn’t in your room to play games.
Spencer moves ahead of you. “I’ll get it.” His voice is firm, leaving no room for argument. You step back as he opens the door.
Standing there is Eli, the guy from your class.
“Oh, uh… is y/n here?” Eli asks, looking past Spencer. You step forward going to the door. “Eli? What are you doing here?”
“I saw your message. Just wanted to check on you.” He says, then glances at the bottle in your hand. His lips twitch into a smirk. “Having a party?”
You quickly lower the bottle. “No, I was just-no.” You stutter.
Eli raises an eyebrow. “You don’t look sick.”
You sigh. “Yeah…I’m not. I just can’t do the project tonight. I’m sorry.” Eli glances between you and Reid before nodding slowly. “Yeah, I get it.”
Silence lingers between the three of you. It’s awkward.
“Wait.” You ask suddenly. “How did you find my room?”
“Lisa.” He answers quickly. “I asked her.”
You nod, but something about it feels… off. You glance at Spencer, who’s watching Eli closely, brows drawn together like he’s analyzing something.
Eli clears his throat. “Well, I’ll let you guys be. Let me know when we can start the project.”
“Yeah, I will.” You say, before shutting the door.
You turn to Spencer. “That was awkward.” He nodded. “Is that your friend?”
“No. Barely know him. Just a project partner.” You say.
“Hmm.” Spencer’s eyes narrow slightly, his expression unreadable. You raise an eyebrow. “What?”
“Nothing.” He says, but there’s a trace of suspicion in his voice. “You just can’t be too sure about people.”
You nod. “Do you think the unsub will be caught tonight?” He exhales, his lips pressing together in thought. “I’m not sure. So far, he hasn’t left much evidence behind.”
“How does he do it?” You ask, curiosity outweighing your nerves. Spencer hesitates. “I don’t think your dad would appreciate me telling you.”
You cross your arms. “Well, I don’t think that’s my dad’s choice.”
He sighs, clearly understanding your frustration. After a moment, he finally gives in.
“He stalks them.” Spencer says, his voice lower now. “He waits until they’re alone, takes them somewhere secluded. He hurts them… bad. And then he.” His jaw tightens before finishing. “He assaults them. It’s brutal y/n. That’s why Hotch is so worried.”
Your breath catches. His gaze is firm, searching yours, waiting for a reaction. And for a second, you don’t know what to say. You had meant what you said to your dad about it not being fair, but hearing this… it makes you feel something else.
“If he stalks them, does that make his killings far apart?” You ask, your voice quieter now.
Spencer nods. “He’s projected to strike again in a few days, but we are trying to prevent that. He only keeps his victims for a few hours, but he takes his time choosing them. He studies them.”
Goosebumps rise along your arms, and suddenly, the walls of your dorm feel too close. “I need air.”
Spencer watches you for a moment before offering. “Well can walk around?”
You nod.
The two of you walk with no destination, the sky shifting into soft oranges and purples as the sun starts to set. The air is cooler now, and the silence between you isn’t uncomfortable.
“So.” Spencer finally says, breaking the quiet. “How are you liking college?”
You glance at him, appreciating his efforts. “It’s been good. A lot of people to meet, a lot of things to do.”
He nods. “When I was in college, I didn’t really… do much.” You let out a small laugh. “Weren’t you, like, fourteen?”
He smirks. “Yeah. That might have had something to do with it.” You tilt your head. “What’s it like? Being that smart?”
Spencer thinks for a moment before answering. “Uh- I don’t know. Sometimes it’s good. Other times it feels like… too much. Even for myself.”
“Must be exhausting.” You murmur
“Can be.” He admits.
The wind picks up slightly, and you shiver without meaning to. You mentally curse yourself for not bringing a jacket.
Spencer notices. without a word, he shrugs off his own. “Here. Take mine.”
You shake your head. “What? No, it’s cold. You need it.”
“I was starting to feel hot in it anyway.” He says, holding it out to you. You narrow your eyes. “You’re a terrible liar, Spencer.”
He doesn’t argue. Instead, he just steps closer and drapes the jacket over your shoulders himself, his hands brushing against you for just a second longer than necessary.
You blink up at him, caught off guard.
“Now you have to take it.” He says simply.
You huff but pull it tighter around yourself, the fabric warm. “Fine.” Spencer smirks, satisfied.
You glance down, smiling softly. “Thank you.”
“No problem.” He replied, giving you the same soft smile, and with that you both continued walking.
The conversation mostly consisting of Spencer throwing out random facts.
Just as he finished explaining why flamingoes stand on one leg, you glanced down and noticed your shoelace had come undone.
“Damn.” You muttered
Before you could react, Spencer crouched down without hesitation, his long fingers grabbing the laces. He tied them quickly, but his movements were gentle, careful.
You swallowed, feeling a rush of warmth crawl up your neck. It was a simple sweet gesture.
“Thanks.” You murmured.
He looked up at you, his eyes catching yours for just a second too long before he stood back up. You cleared your throat, motioning toward a nearby bench.
The two of you sat down, silence setting over for a brief moment before you turned toward him. “So, Spencer, do you have a girlfriend?”
The question clearly caught him off guard. His capture stiffened slightly, and he glanced at you, one eyebrow raised. “Uh-no. Why?”
You shrugged. “Because you do all these nice little things. Feels like there has to be a girl.”
He shook his head. “No girlfriend.”
“Hmm.” You tilted your head, studying him. “That’s surprising.” Spencer gave you a skeptical look. “Why?”
“Because.” You said simply, “You’re sweet. You’re smart.” Then, without much thought, you reached up and lightly brushed your fingers through his hair. “And you’re pretty good-looking.”
The reaction was instant. His whole face turned red, his lips parting slightly as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t quite find the words. Even his ears betrayed him, turning an adorable shade of pink.
“I-I just… I don’t know.” He stammered. “I’m busy, I guess.”
“Yeah.” You hummed, leaning back against the bench. Then, he smirked slightly, his confidence suddenly returning. “Why do you care?”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself, Spencer. I’m just nosey, must be genetic.”
“Right.” He said, nodding as if he didn’t believe you for a second. You narrowed your eyes at him, amused by his boldness. Before you could stop yourself, you turned the question back on him.
“Well, do you think I have a boyfriend?”
He tilted his head, considering you for a moment before shrugging. “I don’t know. Do you?”
“Yeah.” You answered casually, watching as his smirk faltered for just a second. His expression was unreadable, but you caught the small shift, the way his shoulders tensed, the way his fingers curled slightly against his lap.
“Oh. I didn’t know that.” He said
You let the silence hang for a bit too long before grinning. “I’m joking, Spencer. I don’t have one.”
He exhaled, shaking his head as he turned toward you, unimpressed. “Yeah, I think I can see why.”
You gasped, shoving his shoulder slightly. “Wow. Sassy.”
Spencer just laughed, and you found yourself staring at him a little too long, watching the way his smile softened his features.
Then, almost instinctively, the teasing faded. The space between you seemed smaller. His gaze flickering to your lips, so quick you almost thought you imagined it.
Your heart picked up speed.
“You know.” You said, your voice lower now. “For someone who’s never had a girlfriend, you sure don’t suck at flirting.”
Spencer’s eyes darkened with amusement. “Who says I’m flirting?” You arched a brow. “Oh, so you just tie everyone’s shoes for them, and hand out your coat?”
He smirked but didn’t answer. Instead, he shifted just slightly toward you.
Neither of you spoke, but something was different now, he was watching you in a way he hadn’t before, like he was debating something.
And then, before you could overthink it, you leaned in first. He met you halfway.
The kiss was slow at first, hesitant, like neither of you wanted to acknowledge it was happening. But then Spencer’s hand found your jaw, his touch delicate, and suddenly, it wasn’t hesitant anymore.
Your fingers curled around the fabric of his button up, pulling him just a little closer, feeling the warmth of him against you.
Spencer’s lips moved against yours with surprising confidence, his fingers firm against your jaw as he deepened the kiss. His tongue traced the seam of your lips, pleading for entrance, and you don’t hesitate to grant it.
A quiet sigh escaped you, your hands instinctively tightening around the fabric of his shirt.
“Spencer.” You breathed between kisses, your voice barely more than a whisper.
His lips left your mouth only to find the curve of your jaw, then lower, pressing hot, open mouthed kisses along your neck. The contrast was dizzying.
The Spencer you knew, the one who rattled off statistics and fidgeted when people stood too close felt miles away from the one currently leaving a trail of heat against your skin.
Had you really been gone that long?
Deep down, a part of you had always wondered about him.
You’d always thought he was cute. He was different from you in almost every way. Careful where you are reckless, and logical where you are impulsive.
Maybe that was why you found yourself so drawn to him.
His hands moved from your jaw to your throat, his fingers grazing lower, trailing down your body until they landed on your waist. His touch was warm, grounding.
You weren’t sure if you were pulling him closer or if he was the one doing it, but the space between you two was practically nonexistent.
Then, suddenly, he stiffened.
Spencer pulled back so fast it left you breathless, his wide eyes darting around. “Did you hear that?”
You blinked, still dazed. “What?”
“I think I heard something.” His body tensed, one hand instinctively resting on his gun as he stood, scanning the area.
You quickly straightened, glancing around. The campus was quiet, the only sound being the distant hum of crickets and rustling leaves from the breeze.
“Maybe we should head back.” You suggested, still trying to catch your breath.
Spencer nodded, but not before his gaze flickered back to you, his lips slightly swollen from the kiss you’d just shared.
“Yeah.” He said, his voice quieter now. “It’s late.”
The both of you walk back in silence, both thinking about the actions that took place a moment ago.
As you finally reach your dorm, something on the floor catches your eye. A pink envelope.
Spencer notices it too, his sharp gaze narrowing. Without hesitation, he bends down to grab it. “It just has your name.” He says, his voice low. He hands it over, and you take it.
You open it without thinking much, assuming it’s some harmless note. But the moment you pull out what’s inside, a wave of fear washes over you.
“Oh my god.”
Your voice trembles as your fingers clutch the two Polaroid photos. The first is of you and Spencer kissing. His hand cupping your jaw, the image capturing the undeniable intimacy of the moment.
The second photo was when Spencer was scanning the area after hearing a strange noise, his hand on his gun. Someone had been watching. Someone had been right there.
You shove the photos toward Spencer. His expression hardens as he studies them, brows furrowing deeply. He looked furious.
“We have to give these to the team.” He says firmly.
“No, it’s probably just a prank.” You argue, though your voice is weak. You’re desperate to convince yourself, but even you don’t believe it.
Spencer shakes his head. “We can’t be too sure. I’m sorry.” He apologizes as he slides the photos back into the envelope.
You swallow hard, the weight of it all crashing down. “My dad’s going to be upset.”
Spencer steps toward you, his fingers brushing the strands of your hair behind your ear. “It’s going to be alright.” He assures you.
Your eyes scan him, and you can see guilt flashing across his face. You know he feels responsible, and you can’t help but feel the same.
Without another word, he pulls out his phone. “We have something that might be connected.” He says into the receiver, his voice clipped. “Alright. We’ll be on our way.”
The walk to campus security is silent, the dread growing heavier with every step. When you arrive, your father is already there, his signature stoic expression barely concealing his concern.
“What is it?” He asks, striding toward you both.
You and Spencer exchange a quick, uneasy glance. Spencer hands him the envelope.
Your father opens the envelope, his eyes flickering over the contents. The tension in the room is unbearable. You swear you can hear Spencer’s heartbeat.
“What is this?” Hotch’s voice is low, but the restrained anger is clear. His gaze shifts to you, demanding answers.
“They were taken of us… not too long ago.” you manage to say, your voice barely above a whisper.
He doesn't respond immediately. The weight of his silence is crushing.
“So, I send an agent to watch over you, and instead, you make him go against orders. You kiss him while a murderer is on the loose, on your campus, targeting girls.” his words cut through you.
“I-I know. I'm sorry.” you stammer, instinctively glancing at Spencer. “It was my fault.”
But Spencer immediately shakes his head. “No it wasn’t. I’m the one that didn’t follow orders, it’s not her fault.”
“I don’t care whose fault it is. You both had orders, and you failed to comply.” He looks directly at Spencer. “Reid, join JJ. Now.”
Spencer hesitates, clearly torn, but nods. He gives you one last glance before walking away.
“Y/n.” Your father’s voice lowers. “We need to talk.”
You follow him into an empty room, the door clicking shut behind you. The air is thick with unspoken words. You brace yourself, expecting the worst. But when your father finally speaks, it isn’t the scolding you anticipated.
“Do you think you might know who took these?” His tone is calm, but his eyes remain sharp.
You’re caught off guard. “No. I don’t.”
“Think y/n. Is there anyone - someone you’ve been seeing? Someone who might have been watching you?”
You rack your brain, the panic making it hard to focus. “There’s… Eli. The guy I’m working on a project with. He came by to check on me, but that’s really the only person I’ve talked to.”
Your father nods, processing. “And your roommate, do you think she seems like the type to give out your whereabouts? Does she seem untrustworthy?”
You shake your head. “I don’t have one.”
His jaw tightens. “Why didn’t you tell me that?”
“I didn’t think it was important.” You admit, your voice small.
“You didn’t think it was important to tell me you were alone in your dorm? That was the one thing I take comfort in while you are away, knowing there was someone else there.”
“I’m sorry.” You whisper.
His expression softens just a fraction, but the frustration is still evident. “We’ll talk about this later. Right now, I need to question Eli. What class?”
“Psychology.” You say
He gives you a short nod and turns to leave. You follow him out, but the tension lingers.
“Garcia can you look through the schools files for an Eli, a class he takes is psychology with y/n.” He says on the phone.
“I don’t think it’s him.” You say quietly. “I’ve barely seen him around.”
“And that.” Derek interjects, stepping beside you, “Makes him even more suspicious.”
Emily nods in agreement. “If he’s the unsub, he could’ve been targeting you. Sudden appearances aren’t always coincidences.”
You sigh, and take a seat in one of the chairs, the weight of everything pressing down on you. Despite the hum of voices around you, exhaustion wins. Your eyes fluttered close, and before you realize it, sleep over takes you.
“Okay, Garcia gave me the location of Eli’s apartment.” Your dad’s stern voice snaps you awake. “Morgan and JJ, come with me. Prentiss and Rossi, stay here and keep an eye on them.”
Blinking the sleep from your eyes, you sit up. “What’s going on?”
Your father doesn’t answer, already halfway through to door. Emily steps closer, her expression a mixture of concern and relief. “They found Eli’s apartment. But, y/n … Eli was never enrolled in your class.”
Your stomach dropped. “What?”
“He’s been sneaking in.” She says softly. “Pretending to be a student. We think he’s been watching you for a while.”
You stare at her, the words sinking in. Your pulse races as the realization hits. “Oh my god.”
“It’s becoming clear that you were most likely one of his next victims.” Rossi joins in, their eyes both full of empathy.
“But he seemed so…” you trail off, struggling to find the right word. Normal doesn’t feel right. Not now.
“I know.” Emily says, nodding. “It’s difficult. But we’re close to figuring this out. You’re safe now.”
You swallow, the reassurance barely easing your nerves. Rossi lays a reassuring hand on your should giving it a gentle squeeze “It’s going to be okay kid.” He says you nodded and watched as he walked away.
You sit back down, gathering the information you’ve just been told.
Just as the heavy silence settles in, Emily tilts her head, smirking slightly. “That’s a nice sweater.”
Confused, you glance down. It’s only then you remember, Spencer’s sweater. The sleeves are a little long, the faint scent of his cologne lingering.
“Oh. Uh it’s not mine.” You mumble, tugging at the hem. Emily’s smirk deepens. “I know.”
Without another word, she stands and walks toward one of the other rooms, leaving you with your thoughts. You let out a long breath, rubbing your hands over your face. The stress is unbearable.
“Here.” Spencer’s voice pulls you from your thoughts. He holds out a cup of coffee, his fingers brushing yours as you take it.
“Thank you.” You murmur, the warmth of the cup grounding you, he gave you a soft warm smile. “I’m sorry Spencer.” You apologize.
His eyes scan your face. “You don’t have to keep apologizing.”
You blink at him. “You’re acting as if I didn’t kiss you back.” He says. Heat creeps up your neck. “I just feel like this is my fault.” You admit, voice barely above a whisper. “You’re stuck here instead of searching Eli’s apartment. Emily having to babysit now. And all because-”
“Because we went for a walk?” Spencer finishes, raising an eyebrow. “And kissed? You do realize that without that walk, and that kiss, we probably wouldn’t have gotten this close to catching him.”
His words sink in. The guilt that’s been gnawing at you lessens, just a little.
“So in some weird, messed-up way.” He continues, his voice softer. “It’s a good thing.”
You manage a small smile. “I guess.”
Spencer’s grin grows, and for a second, the tension in the air lightens. “Well, I should get out of here before Emily comes back.”
“Probably a good idea.”
With one last lingering look, he turns and heads out. The warmth of the moment fades as the waiting continues. Minutes pass, then thirty. You sip the last of your coffee, anxiety prickling beneath your skin.
The sudden sound of the door opening draws your attention. Your father and Morgan stride inside, and between them, handcuffed and smirking, is Eli.
“Prentiss, Reid.” Hotch says, his voice sharp. “Join JJ at Eli’s apartment. She’s going through it now.”
Spencer and Emily don’t waste a second, slipping out of the building. You barely register them leaving, your focus locked on Eli. He walks past you, and despite the restraints, his presence feels suffocating.
“It’s not over.” He evilly smiles as the words left his mouth, your blood runs cold.
“Don’t speak to her!” Your father snaps, his voice booming. In an instant, Hotch has Eli shoved against the wall, his face pressed hard against the surface.
You flinch, heart stammering. Eli only laughs. The sound sends a shiver down your spine.
“y/n.” Morgan’s voice is calm but firm as he steps closer. “If you need anything, we’re here. Don’t go anywhere alone. Got it?”
You nod, barely able to find your voice. “Got it.”
Morgan gives you a reassuring nod before following your father into the makeshift interrogation room. You’re left there, your mind racing. Emily’s words from earlier echo in your head.
“You’re safe now”
You want to believe that, but with Eli’s words burned into your memory, it’s hard to feel safe at all.
After what felt like hours, you made your way to the restroom, you splash cold water on your face, the droplets sliding down your skin as you brace your hands on the sink.
The reflection staring back at you is pale and exhausted, the weight of everything visible in your eyes. You close them for a moment, willing the lingering feeling to disappear.
But then, the sound of a lock clicking behind you jolts you awake.
Your heart leaps as you whip around. A man stands in the front of the door, his expression twisted with excitement. He’s holding a gun, the metallic glint catching the harsh bathroom light.
“We’re going to do this the easy way, okay Claire?” His voice is disturbingly calm, like he’s rehearsed these words a thousand times.
“Claire?” Your voice is barely above a whisper. “I’m not Claire.”
But he doesn’t listen. He steps forward, his grip tightening around the gun. You instinctively back away.
“It’s okay.” He soothes, though his eyes are wild. “I’m not going to hurt you. I just want you with me.”
He’s closing in now, his body looming. You can feel the panic rising, your chest tightening. Every part of you screams to run, but the barrel of the gun hovers dangerously close.
“Let’s go home, Claire.”
The words send a chill down your spine. You open your mouth to scream, but before you can make a sound, the gun is at your temple. The cold steel sends a shock through you.
“We’re going to be quiet, okay?” He growls, his lips brushing against your ear. “Don’t make me shoot you, I don’t want to hurt you.”
Your pulse pounds. You can feel his erratic breathing, the tension in the air thick and suffocating. Every instinct tells you to fight, to scream, but you don’t.
“Okay.” You force out, your voice trembling.
He grabs your arm, his fingers digging into your skin as he pulls you towards the door. Each step is slow, calculated. He cracks the door open, peering down the empty hallway. You silently pray that someone will come, your dad, Morgan, Rossi, anyone.
But the hall remains empty.
No one sees.
No one hears.
And then, he’s dragging you through the exit.
——
Back in the interrogation room, Eli sits slouched in the chair, a smug grin plastered across his face.
“You’re making a mistake.” He taunts, his voice dripping with satisfaction.
Rossi narrowed his eyes. “A mistake?”
Eli nods, chuckling to himself. “I knew you’d come. That’s why I was home. You’re too predictable. And while you’re all in here wasting time on me…” he leans forward, savoring every word. “No one’s watching your daughter.”
The room shifts in an instant. The air turns cold. Hotch’s face darkens, fear flashing through his eyes.
“Morgan, Rossi. Stay here.” Hotch orders, his voice sharp. Without another word, he storms out. His movements are frantic, searching every corner of the building. Empty chairs, empty hallways. The tension grows unbearable.
“Where the hell is she?” He demands, slamming his fists on the table when he returns. The sound echoes through the room.
Eli simply smirks. “I don’t know.”
——
The van jerks violently as the man speeds through the dark streets. Your wrists ache from the rope biting into your skin, and the duct tape over your mouth muffles your desperate pleads.
He’s erratic, mumbling to himself as he drives. You pray for the sight of flashing police lights, for anyone who might notice how reckless he’s being. But the roads remain empty.
After what feels like eternity, the van screeches to a stop.
“We’re here.” He announces, giddy like a child on Christmas morning.
He yanks open the back doors, his rough hands grabbing at you. You scream, the sound muffled and desperate. You kick, pounding your fists against his back as he hauls you over his shoulder. But it doesn’t faze him.
The air shifts as he carries you inside. The stench is unbearable, a rancid mixture of mildew, rot, and something metallic. The walls are stained, rust creeping across the cracked concrete. Water pools around the floor, dark and slick.
He dumps you onto the ground, the impact knocking the air from your lungs. Before you can react, he pulls a heavy chain from the corner, the rusted links clinking together.
“This is so you don’t try and leave like the others.” He sneers
The chain clamps around your neck, the padlock snapping shut. The weight is suffocating, restricting your movements to only a few feet. You twist and pull, but it’s useless.
He crouches in front of you, his grin wide with satisfaction. “We’re finally together, Claire. Just like I promised.”
Tears burn your eyes as you stare at him, your heart continues to pound violently. The panic threatens to consume you, but you fight it. You have to stay calm. You have to find a way out.
But as he watches you with twisted delight, the truth sinks in. No one knows where you are.
The tape rips from your mouth, the sting sharp against your skin. You gasp, your chest heaving, but before you can speak, the man crouches in front of you, his eyes wild and desperate.
“Before we continue, Claire.” He says, his voice low and deliberate “I need you to be truthful.”
Your glare sharpens, every nerve in your body screaming to fight. “I’m not Claire, you psycho! Let me go!”
The words barely leave your lips before his hands snap to your face, gripping your chin tightly. The veins in his neck bulge with fury.
“You are Claire!”
His trembling hand digs into his pocket, pulling out a worn photo. He shoves it into your view. “This is us, Claire! Before you decided to leave!”
The woman in the photo has your face, or almost. The same features, the same hair.
“That’s not me.” You whisper, shaking your head.
“You always like to lie!” He growls, his voice cracking. He finally lets go, pushing you back against the cold wall as he paces, running his free hand through his greasy hair.
Then he stops.
“Who was that guy?” His voice drops, seething. “The scrawny agent. Why were you with him?”
You blink, confused. “What?”
His teeth clench. “Why did you let him touch you?” He snarls. “Why did you let him look at you like that?!”
He’s talking about Spencer.
“No, no.” You stammer, your pulse racing. “He’s no one. You don’t have to worry about him.”
But it’s too late. The idea is planted, festering in his mind. He shakes his head, a bitter grin twisting his lips.
“I need him here.” He says, his voice trembling with conviction. “I’m going to bring him here.”
“No!” You cry, panic lacing your voice. “You don’t need him! You have me!”
“You need to help me, Claire!” He pleads, crouching down once more. His eyes are wide, frantic. “You have to get him here.”
Tears burn your eyes as you shake your head. “I can't do that.”
He reaches forward, his rough thumb swiping a tear from your cheek. “Don’t cry, darling. It's going to be okay.”
But it won't be.
“Tell me the number.” his voice cracks, dangerous edge creeping in. “I wont.” you whisper.
His hand snaps to his belt, pulling out a small knife. The light catches the dull blade.
“Why are you making me do this?!” he roars, the knife flashing. Before you can move, the cold steel slices across your arm. The pain is immediate, searing. You scream, clutching at the bleeding wound.
——
“Y/n is missing.”
JJ’s words hit like a bullet. Spencer’s heart drops.
“What?” He breathes, his voice sharp. “How? Someone was supposed to be watching her.”
“We don’t know, but Hotch needs us.”
Without another thought, they leave Eli’s apartment and rush back to campus. Spencer’s mind races, his breath short. This can’t be happening.
Emily and JJ make their way into the building but before Spencer reaches the door behind them, his phone rings.
His hands fumble as he answers.
“Hello?”
“Spencer.” Your voice quivers on the other end. “It’s me.”
His chest tightens. “Y/n! Where are you? Hold on! Let me get Hotch.”
“No!” Your voice cracks. “Spencer, don’t. Please… just come. He wants you here, and he says he’ll hurt me if you bring the team.”
“Y/n.” Spencer runs a trembling hand through his hair, panic gripping him.
“Come unarmed.” You whisper. “The address is 3840 Cherry road.”
The line crackles. And then-
“Don’t come, Spencer! Please!”
A sickening thud enters through the phone, your muffled cries follow.
“y/n!” Spencer shouts, his voice breaking. But there’s no answer.
The line goes dead.
His hands shake as he scribbles the address onto a scrap of paper, dropping it where someone will find it. Without another word, he bolts for the SUV.
——
The building looms ahead, rotting, desolate. Spencer moves quickly, his steps silent. The walls are damp, stained with water and time. The stench of mold lingers.
Then he sees you. Sitting against a wall, your head hanging low.
“Y/n.” He gasps, rushing to your side. Blood stains your lips, your nose, and a fresh cut marks your cheek. You’re barely conscious, your head lolling.
“Spencer?” You murmur, your voice weak. But as your eyes adjust, terror flashes across your face.
“No.” You whisper, your hands weakly pushing him away. “Why did you come? I told you not to.”
Before Spencer can respond, a voice rings out.
“Stop touchin’ her.”
Spencer freezes. You both turn, dread pulling in your stomach. The man stands, his eyes blazing with fury.
He lunges, grabbing Spencer and shoving him to the ground, he then pulls out a gun.
“You don’t want to do this.” Spencer says, his hands raised. “We can talk.”
“Why were you with Claire?” The man’s voice booms, echoing through the building. “She doesn’t want you! She wants me!”
“Claire?” Spencer asks cautiously, trying to keep him talking. “Don’t say her name!”
“You want the truth?” Spencer’s voice is steady now, his eyes never leaving the gun. “She doesn’t want you. She never did.”
You stare at him in shock, wondering if he’s gone crazy.
“She wants me.” Spencer presses, his voice low “She doesn’t want you.”
“Do you want me to explain more of what we did?, what you didn’t get to see?” Spencer asked. “What is he talking about?” The unsub asked as he made his way towards you angrily. “You slut!” He spat in your face, but before he could strike you a gunshot echos.
The man in front of you crumbles, blood stains his chest. His eyes go wide, and the life drains from him.
You gasp, and look to see Spencer standing, his gun drawn, chest heaving.
He rushes to get the keys out of the pockets of the dead man, then to you unlocking the chain from your neck, and untying your wrists. The moment you’re free, you collapse into his arms.
“It’s okay.” He whispers, holding you tightly, his hand going up and down your back. “You’re safe now.”
You cling to him, sobbing. “I was so scared.”
“I know.” Spencer breathes, his voice breaking. “I’m sorry.”
The sound of footsteps echo. “They’re in here!” Morgan’s voice rings out.
Hotch bursts through the doors, his eyes locking onto you and Spencer. You let go of Spencer and make your way towards your dad, stumbling, but he needs you halfway and catches you in his arms, tightly pulling you against him.
He was scared to let you go, scared you’d disappear.
“I’m so sorry.” He whispers, his voice thick with guilt.
You shook your head not wanting to hear his apologies, you were just thankful to be able to see him again.
“I want to go home.” You whisper, your tears soaking into his shirt.
Hotch’s hand gently cups your face, his fingers tracing the cuts. He nods, his voice trembling.
“We’ll go home, baby.”
——
1 month later…
The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime, and stepped into the familiar hum of the BAU office. Jacks small hand gripped yours tightly while the other held a plate of cookies, still warm from the oven. As you passed through the glass doors, a wave of familiar faces greeted you, their smiles wide with excitement.
“Y/n!” JJ’s voice rang out first, her arms already reaching for you. She pulled you into a tight hug, swaying you slightly before Emily joined in.
“I was wondering when we’d get a visit!” Emily grinned, her dark eyes bright.
“Yeah, I would’ve come sooner but-”
“But I told her to stay home and rest.” Your dad cut in, his voice warm as he appeared beside you. Jack immediately wiggled free to run into his arms.
“Makes sense, recovery is important.” Rossi added, his fatherly tone laced with relief.
“Yeah, but it could’ve been worse.” You said, shrugging. “I’m just glad I healed up so quickly.”
“We all are, kid.” Derek said, squeezing your shoulder. His easy grin was one you’d miss.
“And what do we have here?” Penelope asked, her bright eyes locked on the plate in your hands.
“Cookies.” You answered, holding the plate up. “I wanted to thank you all. For everything. For helping me.”
A chorus of “Aww’s” and “Yay’s” echoed through the bullpen, and you set the plate on the nearest desk as the team eagerly grabbed a treat. Your father’s arms wrapped around your shoulders, his grip, strong and steady.
“Thank you.” He said softly, his voice just for you.
you met his gaze, the tension that had once existed between you now barely a shadow. “Thank you, dad. I wouldn’t be here without you. I’m sorry for how things were before. But I’m glad we’re…better now.”
His eyes softened, and he kissed the top of your head, a rare display of affection that made your chest ache in the best possible way.
As the others laughed and chatted, you scanned the room instinctively. And there he was.
Through the glass walls of an office, Spencer Reid stood, his tall frame slightly hunched as he watched you. His eyes met yours, warm and hesitant. Without thinking, you smiled. He moved towards you, his steps quick.
“Y/n.” He said
“Spencer.” The way his name left your lips felt far too easy. “How are you feeling? Are you- are you okay?” His voice was careful, but the concern was evident.
“I’m good. Really good.” You reassured him, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “Better than ever, actually.”
His smile mirrored yours, though his eyes lingered on you like he was still checking for any sign of pain. “That’s…that’s good. I’m happy to hear that.”
“You should grab a cookie before Morgan eats the whole plate.” You joked, tilting your head toward the group. “yeah, I probably should.” He laughed softly, but he didn’t move.
His gaze held yours, something unspoken passing between you.
“How about you? How’ve you been?” you asked, shifting slightly closer. “Oh, you know. Same old routine,” he said with a small shrug. “Books. Cases. A lot of facts no one asked for.”
You grinned. “Still no girlfriend then?”
His eyes widened, and he stammered. “Uh, no. No girlfriend.”
“Shame.” You teased. “I finally turn twenty-one tomorrow, you know. So if you’re free we can finally have that drink you denied me last time at my dorm.”
He blinked, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “You remember that?”
“Of course I do.” You grinned. “And now you don’t have an excuse.”
He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, I’d like that a lot.”
“Good.” You lingered on the word, savoring how his cheeks turned reddened.
“I could pick you up.” He offered quickly. “If you want.”
“Perfect.” You nodded. “I live with my dad now, so just come by.”
“You moved back to Virginia?”
“Yeah, I transferred. It’s… nice being here. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I came back.”
“I’m glad you’re back.” Spencer said softly. “Maybe we can, uh, hang out more.”
You tilted your head, biting back a grin. “I’d like that. A lot.”
“Cool.” His voice cracked slightly, and the way his eyes flickered down to the floor only made him more endearing.
“Cool.” You echoed playfully, reaching for his hand. “But first, cookies!”
You tugged him gently, his hand gently squeezed yours, neither of you said anything, but the warmth lingered.
You and Jack stayed a bit longer, but the team eventually had to get back to work. With a few more laughs and lingering hugs, it was time to go.
“Well, it was nice seeing you guys,” you said, gripping Jack’s small hand. “Don’t be a stranger!” Penelope called with a wide grin.
“You’re always welcome,” Emily added. “And next time, bring cupcakes,” Rossi teased, flashing his signature smirk.
You laughed, the warmth of their affection lingering. “I will. Promise.”
After waving goodbye, you led Jack through the glass doors and out to the parking lot. Once you reached your car, you carefully buckled him into the backseat, ensuring he was comfortable.
“y/n.”
You froze, the sound of your name stirring something electric inside you. Turning, you saw Spencer walking toward you, his long strides closing the distance quickly. Before you could even process it, his hands cupped your jaw, fingers tracing the delicate lines of your face. And then, his lips were on yours.
It was sudden, desperate. His mouth moved against yours, soft and warm, but the urgency behind it set your skin on fire. The faint scent of his cologne mixed with the crisp air, and the world seemed to blur around you.
You pulled back, breathless, your wide eyes meeting his. “What was that?” you asked, though your lips still tingled from the kiss.
“I-I don’t know,” Spencer stammered, just as stunned as you were. His thumb brushed your cheek as if trying to memorize the moment. “I just felt like… I needed to do that.”
A slow smile spread across your face. “Well, I’m glad you did.”
And before he could respond, you pulled him back in. This time, it wasn’t rushed. Your hands slipped around his neck, fingertips tangling in his hair as his lips met yours once more. He responded instantly, his body pressing closer, the kiss deepening. Your tongue traced along his, and a soft, quiet groan escaped him, a sound that made warmth coil low in your stomach.
You could’ve stayed like that forever. The way he held you, the way his mouth tasted like coffee and something distinctly Spencer, it all felt intoxicating.
But then you remembered, the kid you’re responsible for in the back of your car.
“Spencer,” you murmured against his lips, reluctantly pulling away. “I have to go.”
He nodded, his forehead resting against yours. “I know. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.” You smiled, brushing your fingers over his cheek. “If you’re free tonight… I’d love to come over. Maybe we can pick up where we left off.”
His eyes darkened just slightly, a crooked smile tugging at his lips. “I’m free.”
“Good.”
He stepped back, but not without stealing one last lingering glance. Ever the gentleman, he opened the car door for you, waiting as you slipped inside.
“Drive safe,” he said softly, his hand still resting on the doorframe. You gave him a playful wink. “I will.”
As you pulled out of the parking lot, Jack’s voice piped up from the backseat.
“Eww.”
You caught his grin in the rearview mirror and brought a finger to your lips. “Shhh.”
He burst into laughter, and despite the embarrassment, a giddy warmth settled in your chest. . .
Your hands are shaking slightly, your heartbeat races with anxiety, and your leg bounces rapidly. Today is an important day after all, and your boss has made it clear that if you mess up in any way then he’d have to rethink your employment. That sent dread flooding through your body, so you’ve been preparing yourself for the last week to make sure everything for the meeting is perfect.
And, on the technical side, everything is immaculate - mostly due to you staying up until almost midnight each night to polish the presentation. You thought everything was done properly, but when you’d walked into the building that morning your boss was holed up in his office finishing up his portion of the work, so you’d decided to simply email him to let him know that you had arrived.
Everything was perfect. But when you get into the meeting room, your boss’ eyes go wide, anger clouding them while he scowls. You quickly make your way to his side, only for him to bark out a command for you to grab water for his incoming guests. Placing your notebook on the table, you turn to scurry off to the side to grab the glasses, but you’re stopped when your boss grabs your arm harshly.
“Do you have a change of clothes?”
“Um… Um, I-“ Your boss raises an eyebrow, and you feel like you might throw up from the sudden anxiety. “No, sir.”
He scoffs, muttering under his breath something about looking “trashy,” before releasing you and allowing you to go to the minibar.
Your arm stings, no doubt sporting a red mark because of how harsh the grip was. You’re also confused because you thought the floral dress you’d chosen was pretty. Sure, it may not be high class, but your boss has never had a problem with it before, but you’re assuming that he’s on edge due to who he’s meeting with.
James Barnes; the most powerful and successful CEO in the entire country. You haven’t met him personally, but from what you hear you know that he’s not someone you want to upset. According to the hushed whispers around the office, he stands at a towering 6’6, tattoos cover his arms and hands, and if he frowns then you better move out of the way.
Would Mr. Barnes be upset with your attire?
You desperately hope not, because you need this job. While you can barely make your rent and utilities, you don’t have any other job lined up, and you’re way too scared to ask for a raise from a man who so clearly disrespects you. For right now, though, you’re stuck.
The oak doors open, and one of the office assistants steps off to the side while holding the door open for several men to walk in. You hear him before you see him. You’ve never heard his voice, but the commanding tone he uses when he addresses your boss lets you know that it must be him.
“Hello, Mr. Walker,” Mr. Barnes greets him, and you can hear your boss stand and greet him as well.
You’re trying your hardest to keep calm while you walk toward the table with a platter holding several glasses of water. You do your best to place them in front of the men without showing how nervous you are.
But when you get to Mr. Barnes, you nearly spill the drink all over the table once you get a whiff of his clearly expensive cologne. Oh, how you’d love to be surrounded by that scent, the woodsy smell almost intimidates you but you’re unsure as to why you don’t mind.
You’ve never done anything even remotely sexual with a man, you’re far too awkward and anxious in a way that isn’t too appealing to many, but for a very brief moment, you wonder what he looks like underneath the black three-piece suit — the prominent veins on his hands insinuates that the rest of his body is probably just as toned. But you’re immediately snapped out of your thoughts by your boss’ harsh voice calling your name.
“Aren’t you going to greet our guests?”
You breathe in sharply, heat flooding your face as you stumble your way through an apology and a polite “Hello, Mr. Barnes.”
You’re about to leave his side when he reaches out to grasp your hand — surprisingly gentle for such a powerful man. With a slight jump, you glance over to your boss who’s staring at you as though you’re becoming a nuisance and should quickly get back to your chair beside his. But you can’t, both because of Mr. Barnes’ hold and the fact that when you look back at the man in front of you his ocean-blue eyes pull you in, and you’re unable to break your gaze.
“And who might you be, darling?” His eyes twinkle with mischief but you’re too blind to see it, you’re too flustered to really focus.
“Oh, you don’t need to worry about her, she’s just –”
“I wasn’t asking you,” Mr. Barnes snaps, briefly glancing at your boss and not bothering to hide his smirk when he almost visibly cowers. “Now, darling,” he continues, rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb. “What’s your name?”
You nearly squeak, having to force yourself to tell him your name before he gets upset with your lack of answer.
Mr. Barnes hums, then brings your hand up so he can place a delicate kiss on your knuckles. “A pretty name for a pretty girl.”
You flounder for a moment, unsure as to what to make of the compliment. You don’t have much time to overthink it because this meeting has a time limit and you’re sure your boss would prefer to get this over with.
“Th-Thank you, sir.” You’re not sure why, but your voice is breathy because something about that word — sir — just feels right for him, though you’re not sure what it means.
“So polite,” He mumbles to himself, and his eyes seem to grow darker. Finally, he lets you go, shooting you a wink and smirking to himself when you scurry off to sit next to your boss.
The presentation went relatively smoothly — thank God. You don’t know what you would have done if anything went wrong. In fact, Mr. Barnes seemed extremely invested in what you had to say, catching your gaze several times and causing you to stumble over your words a few times, only for your boss to clear his throat and glare at you. Eventually, Mr. Barnes throws him his own glare, silently telling him to shut up, to which your boss finally does.
Once the meeting was declared to be over, you were quick to close your notebook and tuck your pen behind your ear, then you went around the table and started collecting the now-empty glasses. As you’re running around the room trying to clean up, you can feel a powerful gaze boring holes into your body, but you try not to pay it any mind. It’s probably just your boss anyway.
But when you turn away from the desk to finally leave, you bump into Mr. Barnes, your body nearly slamming into his very sturdy chest. His hands shoot to your hips almost immediately, helping to steady yourself.
The warmth of his body pulls you in, but that might also be because Mr. Barnes is literally bringing you closer to his chest by the hold he has on your hips. And that’s when you realize that your hands are clutching his shoulders, but you can’t find it in you to let go.
“What’s the rush?” He asks playfully, his upper lip quirking up in a smirk. “You’re running around like a little bunny.”
“Oh, oh I’m sorry, Mr. Barnes.” You’re not sure why you’re apologizing, you recognize that he’s just teasing, but something in you doesn’t want to disappoint him.
“Mr. Barnes.” He hums, his eyes briefly glancing down to your lips. “I like it when you call me that.”
Now you’re really flustered, your face heats up and you have to do everything in your power not to faint — the way his voice deepens is doing something to you and you don’t know how to handle it.
“I’d like it a lot more if you called me James, though. Can you do that for me, bunny?”
“Ye-Yes, James.” You might have been embarrassed about how quick you were to answer him, but the way he closes his eyes and tightens the hold he has on your body you’re thinking it was the right decision.
Mr. Barnes — James — opens his mouth again, but is interrupted by the door being opened by one of the office assistants, whose eyes immediately go wide in shock. It seems to take a second for her to gather her bearings, but she recovers soon enough.
“Mr. Walker is requesting you,” She tells you, glancing over at James and giving him a nervous smile. “He says you have to file all of the paperwork for the meeting.”
You sigh, you’re tired of having to do everything for your boss only for him to take credit ninety percent of the time. But, it’s what you’re paid to do, so you suck it up.
Looking back to James, you give him a shy smile, reluctantly removing your hands from his shoulders.
“Um, I guess I should go, James.” You’re a little sad, and you don’t quite know why having to leave him and go back to your duties makes you so anxious. It could be because Mr. Walker is mean, or maybe because James makes you feel safe. In reality, it’s probably a mixture of both.
“I guess you should,” He murmurs, removing one of his large hands from your waist so he can cup the back of your neck and pull you closer, only for him to press a lingering kiss on your forehead.
And absolutely no one can blame you for the quiet whimper that leaves your lips, even though you are surprised by your reaction. It doesn’t matter though, because he finally moves back, letting go of you and reaching into the pocket on the inside of his suit jacket so he can pull out what looks like a business card.
“Here,” James says, handing it to you. “In case you ever want to talk, you’re always free to call me.”
“What would we talk about?” Your confusion causes James to chuckle, and he seems amused by your naivety.
“Whatever you want, Bunny. Whether you just want to talk about nonsense or vent about your boss. Doesn’t matter to me as long as I get to hear your beautiful voice.”
With that, he gives you a wink, then turns to the door and leaves, though he does glance back at you. With one final smile, he leaves, and you’re left with a million racing thoughts while standing in the middle of the meeting room.
Tumblr media
It took three days for you to finally reach out to James. As soon as you got home that night you ran to your bedroom and added his number to your phone, going so far as to put his business card in your bedside table drawer so you wouldn’t lose it. It just took a little time to gain the courage to actually contact him. After all, what if he was just being friendly? You’ve never met anyone quite like him, so it’s hard to read into his actions.
But today had gone horribly. The café you frequent before work was so busy that you didn’t have time to grab your coffee without being extremely late, the bistro you were demanded to pick up lunch from was closed — and while it wasn’t your fault, Mr. Walker certainly seemed to think it was. Your workload was piled high and by the end of the day, you were on the verge of crying due to the stress and mean comments thrown at you by your boss.
You need a shoulder to lean on and, unfortunately for you, you don’t have anyone else to go to. You’re pretty sure your roommates hate you and only let you live with them because they haven’t found a new roommate yet, you don’t have siblings and your parents are states away, and you have maybe a few friends, but even then the communication is scarce.
You need a shoulder to lean on, and James offered his, so you finally decided to pull up his contact and start a new message. It takes several minutes to figure out what to say, but you eventually settle on something simple.
Hi, James. I don’t know if you remember me, but I’m Mr. Walker’s assistant. You gave me your number in case I ever wanted to talk.
You hit send and stare down at your phone anxiously as you wait for a reply. A minute goes by, then two, suddenly five, and then you’re starting to regret texting him, what if he doesn’t remember you? What if he’s busy? What if –
Your phone starts ringing, James’ name popping up on the screen and taunting you — almost commanding you to answer.
“Hello?”
“Good evening, bunny,” James says softly, and if you press your ear close enough to your phone you could pretend that he’s right next to you.
“Hi, James. I hope I’m not disturbing you.” Your voice is soft and timid, you’d hate to disrupt anything he’s doing.
“Don’t be silly, bunny,” He says, his smile evident in his tone. “I always have time for you.”
“Oh, um. Thank you, sir.” It’s almost indescribable, but you can just make out the soft curse James lets out, followed by some shuffling.
“So, what did you want to talk about?”
You’re a little apprehensive, but with James’ gentle encouragement, you’re able to get everything off your chest, complaining about your day and everything that went wrong. Each word spoken feels like weights lifting off of your shoulders, allowing you to breathe easier every time James hums. He doesn’t interrupt you, which you greatly appreciate, and by the time you’re done, you fall backward onto your bed, relieved.
“I’m sorry you had such a bad day, bunny,” James coos with his smooth-as-honey voice, filling your body with warmth and comfort. “A pretty girl like you doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.” That comment floods your face with heat and you shuffle up the bed to lean against the headboard.
“Oh, I - thank you, sir.” There it is again, sir. James exhales slowly as though he’s trying to control himself from doing something he shouldn’t, and part of you is momentarily worried that you’ve upset him somehow. You don’t want to disappoint him.
“What can I do to help?”
What can he do to help? You’re not quite sure, you’re not sad, and you’re not angry, but you would be lying if you said you didn’t need at least a hug right now. But, it would be too imposing to ask, right? There’s no way he would be willing to come over – that is, if your roommates would even allow him over. And he certainly wouldn’t invite a stranger into his house. So, you lie to him.
“Oh – Oh, no, James, I don’t – you don’t have to – it’s fine –”
“Bunny.”
Your mouth promptly closes, taking a deep breath through your nose and exhaling slowly.
“Sorry, James.”
“Don’t be sorry, bunny.” There’s some shuffling in the background as he talks and you can’t help but sigh at how sincere his voice is. “Now, what can I do to help?” And before you can even open your mouth he’s talking again, “Don’t say nothing, because I know there’s something you want.”
You’re silent for a moment, stewing over how to tell him. But, he’ll probably just be empathetic and say something along the lines of ‘I’d hug you if I were there right now’. So, you decide to just spit it out.
“I guess I just want… I just need a hug, I think,” You sigh, feeling a sudden sense of loneliness. It’s hard not having anyone to talk to, to be isolated even from the people you live with, to be put down time and time again, and not have anyone to support you.
“Where are you?” James asks, and you hear some more shuffling in the background, followed by the jingling of what sounds like keys.
“I’m at my apartment,” You say, confused. He couldn’t possibly be coming over, could he?
“Send me your address and I’ll come pick you up, we’ll go out for ice cream,” James says decisively, and you can tell he doesn’t want any protesting. “Bunny,” He says when you don’t say anything. “You need cheering up and I’m here to do just that. Please send me your address.” He speaks gently but once again, he doesn’t seem to want you to argue against it.
“O-Okay, I will.”
“Good, I’ll see you soon, bunny.” When you bid him goodbye, he hangs up, and you’re quick to send him your address, giving him instructions to text you when he arrives so you can meet him out front of the building.
During the next twenty or so minutes you’re practically running around your room trying to make yourself look presentable. You cried all of your makeup off so you opt to just wash the rest of it off, and then you pull your hair back and away from your face. It takes a bit to decide what to wear, after all this is just a friend taking another friend to get ice cream, but this is also James Barnes; he has more wealth than you could possibly imagine. You want to impress him and appear grateful for his friendliness, and looking at least half-decent would achieve that.
Finally, someone knocks on your door, yelling, “Someone’s here for you!”
With a rush of excitement, you grab your phone and wallet and slip on your shoes, then make your way out of your room to the front door where another roommate is standing in front of it, leaning against the frame and giggling at the person.
James.
He looks bored, almost like he’s trying to appear interested but can’t quite muster up the energy to do so. When you approach, he lifts his head, a wide smile crossing his face.
“There’s my little bunny,” He says confidently, completely ignoring your annoyed roommate. “Come on, let’s get you cheered up.”
With that you walk to him, timidly accepting his outstretched hand and letting him gently tug you into the hallway. When you turn around to tell your roommate that you’ll be back later you can’t even get a word out before you see her glaring at you and shutting the door — the click of the lock is audible through the empty hallway.
“Are they always like that?” James asks with a tone that conveys concern.
“Like what?” You know what he’s talking about, but you hate acknowledging it.
“Rude and disrespectful.” He is so blunt that it causes you to look down in embarrassment to avoid his intense gaze.
Yes, you want to say, they’re awful. You want to shout from the rooftops that your roommates are horrible to you, but you’re just too scared to do it.
“Oh – Oh, no, they’re just…” You trail off, peeking up at James to see the disbelief in his eyes. When you look down again, he brings up one of his hands to cup your cheek and guide your head up so you can look at him head-on.
“You don’t need to lie to me, bunny. I want you to trust me.” James sighs, leaning forward and placing a small kiss on your forehead. “Come on,” He squeezes your hand, smiling softly at you as he starts walking you out of the building and to his car.
Tumblr media
It doesn’t take long to get to the ice cream shop, only a five-minute drive, and when you get there James keeps the car locked as he gets out so he can circle around to your side and open your door for you.
“Th-Thank you,” You say as you put your hand in James’ outstretched one, letting him guide you out of the car. He keeps his hold on your hand as you walk into the shop, going so far as to thread your fingers together while you wait in line.
The image of your hand encompassed by James’ large tattooed one has your tummy fluttering with butterflies. But, you must have been staring for a little too long because you’re broken out of your trance by James gently squeezing your hand.
“Is this okay, bunny?”
“Yes!” Heat floods your face as soon as you say it, feeling embarrassed by how quick you were to answer. “I, I mean. Um… Yes, it’s okay.”
James smirks at you, clearly enjoying how flustered you are. But, before you can stew in your shame, the man behind the counter says, “Next!”
You walk up to the counter, letting James order before giving yours. And when it’s time to pay, James doesn’t even drop your hand while he fishes his wallet out of his pocket and takes out his card. Your tummy flutters once again.
“Come, bunny.”
With your desserts now in hand, James leads you to a corner booth, only letting go of your hand so you can scoot in. He sits across from you, looking at you with what can only be described as thinly veiled hunger. It’s not off-putting, you just don’t know what it means.
“So, um…” You trail off looking down at your bowl of ice cream, fiddling with the spoon they gave you.
“You don’t need to be nervous, bunny,” James coos, reaching over and placing his hand palm up on the table, and you’re helpless but to take it, practically aching to feel his warmth again. “Now, other than everything that happened today, how have you been?”
It’s surprisingly easy to fall into a pleasant conversation with him, he asks questions and lets you finish talking before adding his own input, and he doesn’t break eye contact. It feels like he’s really listening to what you’re saying, and it’s almost freeing to have someone in your corner, someone you can trust and depend on.
What feels like far too soon, though has probably been several hours due to how dark it is outside, the man behind the counter comes to your table to tell you that they’re closing soon, and you can’t help but be sad. You’re enjoying James’ company far more than you probably should since you’ve only known him for a handful of days. It almost seems like you’ve known him your whole life.
“Well, bunny. I guess it’s time to go,” James says remorsefully, getting up out of the booth and reaching out his hand to help you out of the booth as well. He keeps holding your hand while you walk out of the door — making sure to throw away your trash on the way out.
James insists on opening the car door for you again — ever the gentleman. There’s a comfortable silence on the drive back to your apartment, your stomach swirling the entire time because James refuses to drop your hand. But when you get to your apartment building, a small amount of anxiety settles inside you, and you’re desperately hoping your roommates are asleep because you don’t feel like dealing with them after you’ve had such a good evening.
The silence is a little more tense while you ride the elevator up to your floor, but you’re grounded by James’ touch. It’s not until you get to your front door that you really look at him, staring into his twinkling eyes. And when he smiles, it settles your nerves.
“I guess this is the end of our night, bunny,” He says, squeezing your hand one last time before dropping it. Before you can mourn the loss of his touch he’s wrapping you in his arms and pulling you close to his chest, and you desperately hope he doesn’t hear the squeak you let out. You wrap your arms around his waist, letting James tuck your face into his neck while he holds you close.
“I had a wonderful time tonight,” James murmurs, pressing a lingering kiss on your forehead.
“Me too,” You say softly, breathing in and inhaling his comforting scent. “Thank you for cheering me up.”
“Of course, bunny. I’m always here for you.” Then, James pulls his head back so he can look into your eyes. “Always.”
You can’t help but smile. His gaze is hypnotizing, pulling you in and almost refusing to let you go.
“Thank you, James,” You breathe out, and one last time, James squeezes you and kisses your forehead, then steps back.
“I’ll talk to you soon, bunny?” James asks, smiling wide.
“Y–Yeah, I’ll text you. Or you can text me. Or call, that’s–that’s fine too.” Heat floods your face in embarrassment, but you don’t feel too bad about it because James only smiles wider, nodding once.
“I will.”
“Goodnight, James.” With that, you turn and unlock your door, turning around to look at James one last time as you shut the door.
“Goodnight bunny, I hope you have dreams as sweet as you are.” James winks, and you swear you can hear him chuckle when you squeak out an “o-okay,” and shut the door.
And maybe James is some kind of wizard because you have the best night of sleep you’ve had in a while.
Tumblr media
For the next few weeks you and James text almost every day, and talk on the phone every couple of days. You’ve met up with him a few times as well, accepting his invitations to lunch or coffee. Each outing would last for several hours, too enraptured by his… everything to be the one to suggest the night should end. You’ve come to trust him, you know with a possibly concerning amount of certainty that James would do everything possible to keep you happy and safe.
Roughly a month and a half after meeting James, you’re sitting on your bed in the same position you were in when you first called him crying. Unlike last time, though, you don’t hesitate to call him. He’s told you time and time again that it doesn’t even matter if he’s in a meeting, he’ll always make time for you. You just hope that’s true.
He picks up almost immediately.
“Hello, bunny,” James says with the same soft tone he always uses when talking to you.
“H-hi, James,” You manage to say, before breaking out into sobs. You’re nearly hyperventilating, trying and failing to catch your breath between hiccups, and it takes a few minutes to calm down enough to hear rustling in the background on James’ end.
“Are you at home?” He asks with the utmost concern.
“Ye-Yes.”
“Stay there,” He says, using what you’ve deemed his CEO voice. “I’m coming to get you.”
“Ja–”
“Bunny.”
You sigh, knowing you can’t change his mind – not that you really want him to. You could really benefit from a hug right about now and James always provides the best ones.
“Can you at least stay on the phone with me?” Your voice is small, still sniffling every few words. You don’t think you could handle being alone with your own thoughts right now.
“Of course. You know I’ll do anything for you.”
It takes James twenty minutes to get to you, and he talks to you the whole time, just menial things to get your mind off of your sadness. When he lets you know that he’s at your apartment, you don’t even wait for him to tell you he’s coming up, you simply grab your jacket and slip on your shoes, then run to the front door without so much as a word to your roommates in the living room.
“James!” Upon seeing the man himself standing next to his car, you fling yourself into his arms, taking deep breaths to prevent yourself from crying in public. “Thank you for coming.”
“Bunny, how many times do I have to tell you that I’ll do whatever it takes to keep a smile on your pretty face?” James’ tone is teasing, but you know he’s serious if his stern and concerned gaze is anything to go by.
You nod, blinking back tears. It’s so nice to have a friend like James Barnes; kind, chivalrous, attentive. With the way he acts sometimes, you’d almost think he’s interested in more than friendship, but you always shake that thought off. He’s too handsome and wealthy to date some random personal assistant who’s barely able to make her rent.
“Come on, bunny,” James moves back but keeps an arm wrapped around your waist, leading you to his car and helping you in. Like always, he waits for you to sit so he can strap you in your seatbelt, pressing a quick kiss to your forehead before shutting the door then running around to the driver's seat.
This time, instead of taking a left at the light at the end of your block, he keeps going forward, taking turns until you’re not exactly sure where you are.
“Um, where are we going?”
“My house,” James says casually, briefly glancing at you so he can give you that ever-soft smile.
“But, isn’t your house only twenty minutes away?” You’re confused, and a little curious as to what he’s talking about.
“I only stay there when I have meetings in the city. I have a house a little further out where I live most of the time. It’s a little more lived-in, so I want to bring you there where you’ll feel a little more…” James pauses for a moment, glancing at you again. “At home.” His explanation makes sense in your brain, quickly squashing any nerves that you had. He’s rich, so of course he’d have multiple houses.
It’s almost an hour long drive to get to his house. Well, house feels like an inappropriate term for what it actually is. It’s more like a mansion, standing tall at three stories, a long driveway with trees lining either side of the road, and a luscious garden surrounding the property.
James helps you out of the car and guides you up the steps to the front door, where he unlocks it and lets you step inside. The moment you pass through the threshold your jaw nearly drops to the floor; a large chandelier hangs from the ceiling right when you step in and beautiful artwork adorns the walls. The open floor plan gives you a good view of the living room and kitchen from your vantage point, and you can’t wait to sink into the luxurious and almost comically large couch in front of the TV.
“Can I get you anything to drink?” James urges you further in, bringing you to the living room.
“Um, just water is fine.” You look up at him, smiling shyly and nearly tripping when he smiles back.
“I’ll be right back,” James says, watching as you sit and sink into the plush couch. “Make yourself at home.” The look in his eyes when he says it sparks something inside you, something warm and fuzzy. Thinking of James’ house as your home makes your tummy flutter, but you don’t understand why.
God, you need to get it together.
You’re left alone for a moment, and everything is quiet except for the fridge opening and the glasses clinking. James’ absence allows you a moment to breathe properly, being with him always leaves you flustered, though you can’t deny that some part of you likes it. You like his commanding nature, how deep his voice gets when he talks passionately about something, how warm his embrace is when he holds you for what might be a little too long, squeezing you like he doesn’t want to let you go.
“Here you go, bunny.” Suddenly, a glass of water appears in front of you, and you take it with a gracious smile and a small “thank you.”
“So,” He says, sitting next to you — really close — and throwing his arm over your shoulders, practically pulling you into his lap. “Do you want to tell me what’s wrong?”
Tears immediately spring to your eyes, suddenly remembering how horrible today was. You force yourself to take a couple of sips of your glass but your hand starts shaking enough to where James takes your glass and sets it on the coffee table in front of you.
“Bunny—“
His soft voice causes you to start crying, throwing yourself into his chest and burying your face in his neck as you sob out your troubles. James’ hand is warm on your back, rubbing it soothingly and squeezing you close to him. This time, he actually pulls you in his lap, you’re grasping the front of his sweater while he maneuvers your body so you’re straddling his thighs, and you can’t help but scoot closer so you’re sitting on him properly with your body flush against his.
A few minutes of crying later and your tears have finally slowed, your sobs deforming into hiccups until you calm down enough to hear James cooing into your ear, whispering sweet nothings. When you finally catch your breath, you pull back, staring up at James with wide eyes and a pout.
“I-I… I was fired! Fired! And I don’t know what I’m going to do! Mr. Walker just tossed me to the side because a document went missing and he blamed me, and now I’m jobless and my roommates are definitely going to kick me out because I can barely make my rent as it is. What am I going to do?”
James sighs, rubbing one hand up and down your back and keeping his other on your waist, though they manage to sneak up your shirt a little without your notice.
“I’m sorry, bunny,” He starts, giving you a comforting smile. “It’s awful that happened to you, and it’s not your fault, so don’t go blaming yourself like I know you want to.”
Your face goes warm with embarrassment. How is he able to read you so easily?
“And as far as your living situation, you’ll move in with me.”
“James!” Your eyebrows furrow, your head automatically shaking. “No, no I can’t do that to you. I don’t have a job anymore and I definitely can’t afford to pay you rent, I-I can’t burden you like that.” Even though it hurts to say it, you want to be honest with him. Because how on Earth are you supposed to pay him back for this?
“You’re not a burden.” You’re surprised by his angry tone, and his eyes darken as though he’s challenging you to say otherwise. “You’ll never be a burden on me, bunny. I’m offering you this, I don’t want you to pay me.”
As though he can sense your hesitation, he gives you a playful smirk.
“But if you really want to help, how about you do the cooking and cleaning? I don’t always get a good home-cooked meal, and it’d be nice to come back from work to see you in a cute little apron.”
This makes you giggle, a weight lifting off your shoulders when you nod timidly. “I-I can do that. I’ll do anything.”
And while you had pure intentions with that statement, James takes it differently, his eyes darkening even further as he nibbles at his bottom lip.
“Anything?” He smirks wider when you nod eagerly because that’s what you are. Always eager to please — especially please James.
“Yes, anything!”
James hums, seemingly thinking something over, before sliding one of his hands up the back of your shirt.
“How about you give me a kiss? I haven’t had a good one in a while,” While he sounds like he’s teasing, his face shows he’s anything but.
He really wants you to kiss him. And, well, it’s not like you’re going to deny him, you’re too grateful for his generosity. Plus, you’d be insane to pass up such an opportunity, he’s handsome, kind, and makes you feel safe. So, with only a little hesitation, you lean down and press your lips against his in a simple peck, but before you can pull away James groans, placing one hand on the back of your head to keep you steady.
His lips practically attack yours, his tongue invading your mouth and taking what it wants – you. You don’t even know it but you’re whimpering almost immediately, opening your mouth and letting James consume you whole. He’s smiling against your lips, biting your bottom lip as he retreats for a moment so he can stare up into your eyes.
“You’re so beautiful, bunny,” James whispers reverently like he’s hypnotized. And he’s not the only one. Your brain is quickly going silent, your sole focus is on James and how good he’s making you feel.
“Really?”
“So beautiful, I’ve always thought so.” His confession makes you whine, he thinks you’re beautiful, this gorgeous man with the deepest blue eyes you’ve ever seen. Suddenly, James curses softly, grabbing your waist under your shirt, and that’s when you realize you’ve started subconsciously moving your hips against his.
“S-Sorry,” You mumble, though you’re not too sorry considering you can’t stop rolling down onto his lap, it feels too good.
“Don’t be.” James hums thoughtfully, leaning forward slightly and wrapping his arms around your waist. “Why don’t we go to my room? It’ll be more comfortable.”
You don’t even wait for him to finish before you start eagerly nodding your head, adjusting your legs as he stands so you can wrap them around his waist. He carries you to his room, smirking to himself the entire time because you can’t stop kissing and biting his neck in the hopes of leaving a mark, staking your claim. When you finally get there, James quickly shuts the door behind him and then drops you down onto the bed.
“Sir,” You whine when he doesn’t do anything, he’s only standing at the end of the bed, staring at you with eyes so dark with lust that you can’t see the blue of them.
“Don’t worry, bunny, I’ll take good care of you.” With that, he swiftly strips his shirt off and tosses it to the side, then undoes the button on his pants, slowly dragging down the zipper with a wide smirk at the haze in your eyes. “Do you want to help me?”
It takes a few moments for you to understand what he’s asking of you, but once you do you push yourself up, shuffling over to him until you’re sitting with your legs underneath your butt. For a moment you’re not sure what to do, you reach out for his pants but freeze mid-air because you just now realize that you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing. You’ve never been in this situation before, your sexual exploits consist of goodnight kisses on the few dates you’ve been on, and your vibrator in your nightstand that has been working overtime ever since you met James.
“I-I’m sorry,” You murmur, embarrassment flooding your features.
“Why are you sorry, bunny?” James’ voice is soft, soothing your worries.
“I… I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve never… been with a man before.” Your hands fall to your lap at the same time you hang your head. What if you disappoint him? You don’t know what you’re doing and you’d hate to mess anything up.
“I know, bunny. It’s okay.” James lifts your chin with his fore and middle fingers, guiding you to look at him again. “I’ll teach you everything.” His voice dips lower, his bottom lip getting trapped between his teeth when you smile, relieved.
“Now, I’m going to take off my pants, but I want you to take off my boxers. Okay?”
“Yes, sir,” You say quickly, eyes dropping to his crotch as he begins pulling the denim down, down, down until it pools on the floor. He steps out of them, then steps in front of you with his arms hanging by his side. When he raises his eyebrow, nodding to his underwear, you reach out for him again, this time with only a small amount of hesitation. Your nerves are nearly off the charts, but knowing that James is going to guide you makes you feel better.
Your hands are shaking slightly when you pull them down, and absolutely no one can fault you for the loud gasp you let out when he’s finally bare because holy shit. Despite being relatively anxious and naive surrounding sex, you’ve watched your fair share of porn, and while the men in them did usually have big dicks, they seem small compared to James’.
You’re almost frightened, how the hell is that going to fit inside you? James chuckles, and you realize you probably said that aloud.
“Don’t worry, bunny. I’ll make it fit,” James groans, reaching down to grab the bottom of your shirt. “I’m going to take this off now, okay?” He tugs it up and over your head once you give your consent, tossing it to the side and cursing when he sees the light pink bra barely covering your breasts. James is biting his lip so hard you’re worried he might draw blood, but you don’t pay it any mind because he’s soon urging you to lay on your back with your legs dangling over the edge.
“Gonna take these off too.”
Giving him a shy smile and a nod, he hooks his fingers in the waistband of your sweatpants, glancing up at you one final time to make sure you’re okay before he surprises you by pulling them off of your legs in one swift movement. You’re tugged down the bed a little, a shocked gasp leaving your lips.
“Fucking angelic,” James murmurs, dropping to his knees and placing his large, rough hands on your knees. He smirks when he sees your matching light pink panties, already soaking wet at the crotch. You have to bite your lip to keep from whimpering when he pushes your legs wide apart, but you can’t stop yourself from squirming when he doesn’t do anything else.
“James,” You whine, high-pitched and needy.
“Sir,” He reminds you with a raised eyebrow as though he’s daring you to say his real name again. And just for good measure, he surprises you by lifting up one of his hands and swinging it down onto your clothed pussy in a harsh swat, causing you to let out a loud moan.
“Sir! I-I’m sorry, sir.”
“It’s okay, little bunny,” James coos as he runs his hands up the back of your thighs so he can push them up and out, letting him get a good look at where you need him most. “Are you going to let me eat your pretty pussy?”
Even though it’s phrased as a question, you know James isn’t going to take ‘no’ for an answer. It’s not like you even want to tell him ‘no’, you’re too desperate for something, anything.
“Y-Yes, sir. Please.” Your begging makes him groan, and he quickly dips forward so he’s not even an inch away from your core, inhaling deeply and cursing again.
With a quick kiss to your covered clit, he twists his fingers into the band of your panties and rips them into pieces, and you know you’ll have marks from it. But you want them, you want evidence of this night, and you’ll gladly take anything he gives you. And no sooner than your panties off do James dive in, inhaling once more before his tongue sneaks out and licks a long stripe from your hole to your clit.
It’s at that point that you know you’re well and truly fucked, because there’s no way you’re not going to become addicted to the feeling of his tongue dipping into your quivering hole, the way he wraps his lips around your clit and sucks it into his mouth, the way he groans into your pussy like there’s nowhere else he’d rather be.
And it doesn’t take long for your legs to start shaking, desperately trying to close around James’ head but not being able to due to his hands gripping your thighs and holding them still. The filthy groans he lets out are enough to make you cum alone, but then he attaches his lips to your clit again and gently bites down, forcing an obscene moan out of your mouth.
He lets you get used to the pleasure, switching between fucking his tongue deep inside you and flicking at your clit, and only when he decides you’re ready does he manage to slide his forefinger in your pussy all the way to the third knuckle.
“Sir!” You can’t help but yell. Yes, it stings, but it’s far outweighed by the pleasure of his tongue assaulting your pulsating nub.
He wastes no time in slowly sliding it in and out, wiggling it around until you whine loudly, letting him know he’s found that special spot. You’re too out of it to realize it but James is smiling, clearly smug at how he’s making you react. You wouldn’t care anyway, in fact, he deserves it. He’s making you feel too good, especially when he slips in his middle finger and spreads them.
“Oh god! Yes, fuck. Sir, yes,” You’re incoherent, blabbering nonsense because your brain is too foggy to form a coherent thought. James picks up the pace, wrapping his lips around your clit and sucking it as he thrusts his fingers directly at your g-spot.
“Sir! Sir, I-I’m…” As soon as he started, he stopped, pulling out his fingers and leaning back slightly with a wide grin. His chin is coated in your juices, and the gleam in his eyes shows you that you’re not going to be able to cum so easily.
“Not yet, bunny,” James says when you whine pathetically, trying to buck your hips up into his mouth but unable to do so because of his commanding grip now holding your waist. “I’m not letting you cum until I’m inside you.”
James then climbs onto the bed, guiding you upwards to lay your head against the plush pillows so he can lean over your body. With little preamble, he snakes his arms around your back to quickly unclasp your bra and allow your breasts to spill free.
“I can’t wait to watch these bounce,” James groans, palming one of them, twisting and pinching at your nipple. James just laughs when you hiss, because your soaked pussy is enough to tell him that you’re loving what he’s doing.
“Bunny.” He says gruffly, and your eyes shoot up to meet his, though you can hardly see him because your vision is hazy, nothing matters except James. “Are you ready?”
You’re barely able to mumble ‘yes’, but you manage to do so, and James takes that as his cue to grasp the base of his cock and position it at your entrance. He places his other hand on your neck, lightly squeezing the sides to keep your eyes locked on his.
The pressure against your hole is immense, James telling you to breathe as he slowly pushes deeper. He stops about halfway through, giving you a moment for the pain to fade. He’s clearly having a hard time staying still but is cognizant enough to know you’re overwhelmed. It takes a few minutes of deep breathing before you finally nod, silently letting him know that he can move. And he does, pushing in all the way until his hips are flush with yours. Once again, he stills, leaning down to brush his lips over your cheeks and catch the tears spilling from the corners of your eyes.
“H-Hurts, sir,” You whimper out, forcing yourself to keep eye contact with him. And while your core is burning, James looks so damn proud that you’re taking him that it pushes away any discomfort.
“Do you want me to stop?”
“No!” Even though you’re in mild pain you’re pretty sure you’ll cry if he pulls out, you need everything he can give you. “Please, don’t stop.”
“Don’t worry, bunny,” James coos, then tightens his grip around your neck ever so slightly. “I’ll give you what you need.” And as though a switch was flipped, James pulls back, pausing for half a second before thrusting forward.
“Ahhh!” Your mouth drops open as you scream, your arms coming up to claw at James’ shoulders and back as he gives you all he has.
And he has a lot to give. He puts his back into fucking you, keeping one hand around your neck and using his other arm to pull your left leg over his shoulder. Sweat beads at your hairline, your eyes stinging with tears, your whole body lit on fire. At this moment, nothing matters except the delicious burn between your legs, the way your body is shoved further up the bed with each of James’ powerful thrusts until it gets to the point where he has to place the hand around your leg on the headboard to steady you.
“Fuck, bunny, you feel so good. You’re so good for me.” James can’t stop mumbling praises, and even though you can’t really hear them, you feel them. Your eyes don’t move from his, even as he glances down to where your bodies are joined. “Fuck, little bunny. Your pussy looks so good stuffed full of my cock, knew you’d take me so well.”
“S-Sir,” You whimper, bucking your hips up to meet his thrusts and digging your nails into his skin. But James doesn’t seem to mind if the way his whole body shudders and his hips slightly lose their rhythm is anything to go by.
“Are you gonna be a good little bunny and cum for me?” James moves his gaze back up to your face, chuckling when he sees how fucked-out you already are. Despite his hand still around your neck you manage to nod, little cries and whines escaping into the air every time James’ cock gets shoved against your cervix.
“Yeah, you are,” James continues, leaning over your body even more and shifting so the tip of his dick hits your spot with every thrust. “You’re going to squirt all over my cock so I can cum deep in your cunt. Gonna cum in you every day, keep you full of me, maybe even plug you up to make sure it sticks.”
You’re right there, your pleasure climbing higher and higher until you’re ready to fall off the edge. James’s next sentence sends you there.
“Fuck, bunny. You’re going to be the perfect little mommy to all the children I’m gonna give you.”
When you wake up, James will tell you about how you came so hard that you blacked out, squirting and gushing around his cock while he continued telling you how even more beautiful you’ll be when you’re pregnant, taking care of him and his home, how he knew you were the one for him from the moment he first saw you. Your things will already be moved into his house. New clothes chosen specifically for you will be hung up in his closet and the bathroom will be adjusted to fit your products. The kitchen is going to be filled with all the food you like. And your cat will be curled up in a miniature hammock in her very own room.
When you wake up, you’ll see how much thought James put into redecorating his home just for you.
And you’ll be too grateful for his kindness to question where he put your birth control.
Isekaied as the Yandere Villain!? PT 1
Tumblr media
All I could do was stare at my reflection. This had to be a joke. I was going to wake up in my bed, right this instant.
“FUCK!”
Ok, so, pinching myself hurts. That’s fine. This is like. Some sort of lucid dream. What do they say to do if you’re lucid dreaming? Oh, that’s right, put your finger in your palm, it’ll phase through!
I resist the urge to scream as my finger meets solid flesh.
You see, I’m not in the right body. Or the right world from what I can tell. No, I’m supposed to be back home, waking up in a panic as I realize my alarm didn’t go off cuz my phone died after I stayed up way too late reading manga.
But of course, I’m not late to work, I’m in a lavish bedchamber right out of the latest webcomic I’d been reading! And by the looks of it…. I’m the crown princes crazy fiancé! As much as I love reading about the Isekai trope, I never wanted to be in one! And come on- as the Yandere Villain!? Couldn’t this at least be original? There’s hundred of stories just like “my next life as a villainess,” why couldn’t I be like… a stable hand or something? Ugh. Ok. Think!
I need to get home. Do the protagonists ever get back home in the stories I read? I pace around my room and rack my brain over every webcomic I’ve ever read, every manga I waited in line for, every anime I binged, even the unfinished manhwas! I can’t think of a single fucking one where they get home?
Well this isn’t going to stop me. I have a cat who’s going to absolutely flip if she’s not given fresh kibble in the morning. She has enough in her bowl for another 2 days but she needs it topped off ok! She’s a princess! I can’t be stuck here! Who’s going to throw her pompom toy for her if I’m not there???
What did all these have in common? What’s the barebones trope layout? Ok let’s see
1) person either died or falls asleep and wakes up in a new world…. Check
2) person is the villain!…. Check
3) to avoid the characters terrible death, person tries to change the story, ends up being new protagonist…
Ohhh… hey…. Do these Isekai characters ever just…. Play along? Even the “reincarnated as a baby” ones, they only play along till they’re old enough to try to run away or rework the political structure of the entire city. Maybe that’s it. Make it to the books natural end, and you’ll wake up where you belong. It’s like when you get part of a song stuck in your head. Play the whole song, and it’ll get out.
Ok, I’ve trained most of my adult life for this- I can totally ace this trope! I just have to stalk the crown prince, act totally in love with him, and be a bitch to the female lead. Then my finance will leave me, I’ll do some crazy dramatic act to try to kill the female lead, and then I’ll be exiled or executed, and wake up to feed my cat. How hard can it be?
Tumblr media
Hard. It’s very hard.
Where the hell did he go!? My fiancé, the crown prince Eric, was JUST HERE. I swear! He turned that corner back there and then went down this hall… at least I think it was this hall? Ugh! This is impossible! For someone with such loud shoes and an armed escort, you’d think he’d be easier to follow! Now my feet just hurt. They don’t make these fancy shoes to run around the castle all day. They’re meant to daintily peek from beneath my many skirts as I host a tea party or some shit.
Ok. I’ve got this! I’ll just peek into each room until I find him, maybe I can get a better feel for the layout, or maybe find his office and see if he has a schedule or a day planner or something I can use to make this whole stalking thing easier.
I begin snooping, and it’s a bit of thrill to be honest! Back in my real life, I’m the kind of person to hide a wrapper deep in the trash can if I’m babysitting, sitting on the floor playing a game on my phone after the kid goes to bed rather than “making myself at home” the way the parents insisted as they showed me how to access Netflix. I’ve never been a snooper. Now…. Well. It’s totally on brand for this character! I’m not me, I’m a psycho lovesick fool! I giggle a bit at that as my fingers trail over a shelf of beautiful pottery in some sort of sitting room.
“What’s so amusing dearest?”
I practically screech as my heart leaps to my throat and I whirl around, and see the very person I’d been searching for has snuck up on ME…. That’s so unfair!
“W-what? O-oh! Nothing! I was just- uh, admiring the pottery?”
I stutter out as I try to recall how to act like a human being while simultaneously trying to stop feeling my own pulse in my ears. The idiot has the nerve to LAUGH! Full on snort and everything!
“What are you doing in this wing anyways? Weren’t you meant to be out riding today?”
Shit. I was so busy trying to figure out his schedule, I didn’t consider maybe the body I was shoved into had a schedule of her own. Ok. Play it cool- I’ve got this!
“Yes, well, I decided I wasn’t in the mood and wanted to stay in today instead.”
His brows furrow
“Oh, but you love riding? Are you feeling ill? I can fetch the royal physician for you if you-“
“No! That’s- that’s quite alright! I simply wanted a change of schedule, that is all. Um… what about you? What are your plans for the day?”
He looked a bit surprised at that, and a small smile danced on his lips.
“I was just going to the library to do some paperwork, boring stuff really, and then of course our dinner at its regular time.”
I nod like that means anything to me. Ok think, if I were crazy in love with this man, what would I say?
“Would you like some company? Reading in the library sounds really nice, maybe we could have some tea as well?”
Ok. I’m already fucking this up. He looks confused…. God damnit …. I knew I shouldn’t have skimmed over those early chapters- but the translation was shit ok!?
“Well… I’d actually love that. But are you sure? You haven’t exactly shown interest in reading, and you’ve never requested something like this before…. In fact I don’t think I can recall the last time we’ve interacted outside of dinner or a scheduled social event in… well. Ever.”
Wait…. What? Isn’t my character like goo-goo-ga-ga over him? Are you telling me she never asks to just… spend time with her lover? They only talk during dinner and parties or whatever?
“Of course, I think it’ll be relaxing! Just lead the way!”
My brain is working overtime as I smile politely at him as we reach the library and I pretend to browse for books. I’m missing something here. What is-
Oh. Shit. That’s right. I’m supposed to be really insecure and awkward about him. That’s why she stalks him- she spends all her free time obsessing over this man from the shadows, threatening the competition…. Yet chokes up when it comes to how to act natural. Her inferiority complex is what drives her entire character. And then to him, they’re just two nobles in an arranged marriage who speak on dull subjects like the weather and horse rides…. And who barely interact.
This must have been a real big shake up, she always stays out of sight, they never run into each other by chance. And she certainly never would ask to sit and read with him…. Maybe watch him do his work from a hidden keyhole somewhere, but that’s right…. She IS more of a traditional lady with her hobbies. She was raised to be the perfect noble wife, so naturally, her hobbies include things like dancing, needlepoint, and horse riding. The only studies she’s interested in are etiquette and things that noble ladies are supposed to know.
Well…. Shit. That’s so like me to already have fucked this up. But that’s ok. That’s ok- he’s going to meet the female lead and fall in love and so I just have to be the obstacle they need to overcome. Surely the details don’t matter too much…. It’s my first day in the job ok? Not everyone’s perfect!
I find a book that honestly actually sounds interesting, it’s historical, but it’s giving Hellen of Troy, the closest to a dark romance I think I’ll get from an academic personal library like this. I settle into what looks like the comfiest chair in the central area, and begin reading. The prince and I exist comfortably, the only sound being the scratch of his pen, and the occasional rustle of paper as he flips a document or I finish a page. We continue like this for several hours until he puts down his pen and clears his throat, getting my attention.
“I know it’s a long way from dinner…. But I was thinking I’d grab something light for a mid day meal and then take a walk about the gardens …. Would you care to join me?”
Honestly, some lunch and pretty royal gardens sounds like so much fun, so I agree. As we begin walking, I ponder how I can recover from all this.
You know what.. this can totally still go to plan. This is just me being the evil villain and sinking my claws into him! The female lead will appear, and I’ll reveal my true, nasty side to her! She’ll have to fight to save the prince from his marriage to me!
*insert evil laughter!*
“You’re smiling.”
“W-what?”
“A smile. It suits you. You’ve been doing that a lot today….. I like it.”
Ok and now I’m blushing. I go to reply when I suddenly find myself weightless for a moment, and then hit the ground with a hard thump.
“Ow! What the-!?”
My eyes snap up and glare at this pretty blonde girl who just rammed into me, and sent me flying
“Do you not know how to watch where you’re going!? Owww…. Ugh.”
Ok I’m sorry I’m usually a nice and understanding person but I’ve never been literally knocked over before! Who does that to a person?
Eric helps me to my feet and sends a reproachful glare toward the girl, asking me if I’m alright with most concerned look…. And the girl gasps and says,
“C-crown prince Eric! I apologize! I’d didn’t recognize you!”
She drops into a curtsy and lowers her eyes all demure and modest as if she hadn’t just bulldozed me. I send an incredulous look toward Eric…. She… didn’t see HIM? I’m the one she took out? He gives me an equally puzzled look and so I decide, you know what, fuck it. I’m this evil person in this world…. I need to act like it!
“And not recognizing his highness is an excuse for taking out the princess consort, soon to be crown princess? Are you blind or just daft?”
Oh my god I really just called someone daft! This feels like when you stay up late thinking all the witty comebacks you could’ve used against your high school bullies, except actually using them in the moment!
And Eric is being a sweetie and letting me handle this, waiting expectantly for blondie to answer me, just prompting her,
“Well?”
“Forgive me…. Princess consort…. You are right. My oversight in inexcusable. It appears neither of us were looking where we were going. I hope we can start fresh!”
I scoff- that’s it? Who does this bitch think she is? Yes, I was looking at Eric, but I was going a walking pace, who rounds a corner with so much force that you knock someone over?
Suddenly something clicks- oh shit! This is the female lead!!!! This scene happened in the story, just without the prince here. This is good, that means this is on track. Although I gotta say- I was much more on the female main characters side when reading it. Now, I just feel like she’s one of those mean girls in high school who’s not *technically* doing anything mean. Anyways- what was I supposed to say? That’s right.
“Yes…. Well. I’m sure we won’t be seeing much of each other anyways. If you’ll excuse me-“
Nailed ittttt…. Now her line?
“Well, actually…. My name is Lady Cressida, and I’ll be staying in the place for several months as my father is a foreign ambassador overseeing trade agreements with his highness the king. So I imagine we will be seeing *plenty* of each other. That goes for you too your highness! So please- forgive me, I look forward to getting to know each of you better!”
Oh that’s so cool, seeing her recite the lines from the story. But ok- I have a role to play as well. I scoff and grab Eric’s arm, pulling him behind me as I storm off, playing the part of entitled lover, stuck up and irritated at this ambassadors daughter who DARED to speak to my love.
Yea, this will work, Eric will think Cressida is a genuine sweetie, and see me as being the unreasonable bitch who’s refusing to accept her apology, or apologize for not looking where I was going either. And now I’m manhandling him- totally unlady like. God I’m killing this aren’t I? Minimum wage job and demanding cat, here I come!
What I don’t see, as I lead Eric by the arm, is the cold glare he shoots towards Cressida, before smiling down at our connected hands, an unreadable look in his eyes.
MALFUNCTIONᯓ ⋆°•
moving in with caleb was bound to have its ups and downs... but did he have to modify everything in his home to keep track of you? cw: fem. reader, caleb being overprotective and borderline insane, lowkey stalking, cameras, established relationship, reader can be mc or not, #ilovecaleb, mullet caleb yummy, wrote this listening to my 2020 playlist...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
everything in caleb's space was so very... you. the foods in the fridge, the furniture, the tidiness of it all. there was so much of you, and it was quickly becoming a safe haven.
it seemed everything caleb owned was carefully picked out with your interests and not his.
you remember asking him about it, if he was truly okay with you taking over his space like this; especially since you never spent a dime while with him.
his answer still fresh in your mind.
"trust me honey, this is all i've ever wanted." he said with a sincere smile and a pat to your head, "besides, there's still a lot of me around, you just gotta find it."
back then, you weren't sure what he meant exactly and seen it as a way of him comforting you.
now, however, as the microwave locked your frozen dinner in there you realized what he meant.
caleb always cooked for you, he knew your desired calorie intake, allergies, and all the foods you didn't like.
you never had to lift a finger in the kitchen when he was around, because he had already taken care of everything before you even had the chance to think about it.
but now, standing in the quiet hum of the microwave, the absence of his presence was deafening. he was on a rather long mission with the fleet. he did prepackage all your meals, labeled and all, but admittedly... being bored with nothing to do except eat made the meals go quicker than expected. surprisingly, there was a frozen pasta dinner shoved in the back of the freezer. it wasn't the most ideal, but it was the best you could do without your personal chef and boyfriend.
it was a little embarrassing how dependent you became on him. you knew if he were here, he'd kiss your head and tell you he'll make those nasty thoughts go away.
there were still traces of him all around you, in the way the spice rack was arranged just so, the way the couch cushions bore the slightest indent from where he always sat, and even the basket of apples on the counter.
you sighed, leaning against the counter as the microwave beeped, signaling your sad little dinner was ready.
there was a small problem though.
the microwave wasn't opening.
no matter how much strength you used, the door just wasn't opening. you felt your eyebrow twitch; did you somehow manage to break his microwave? there was no way; sure, you relied on him a bit, but you definitely remembered the basics in the kitchen.
before you could get more frustrated, your phone dinged.
caleb <3: where did u even find that lol? thought i threw those all out :,)
you stared at your phone in deadpan before glancing back at the microwave, quickly texting back.
[name]: how did you even...?
caleb <3: baby, i got eyes everywhere
you huffed, shaking your head. of course he somehow knew you were about to eat the one frozen dinner he swore he got rid of.
[name]: okay, stalker. but actually, i think ur microwave is broken??? it won’t open.
the typing bubble appeared instantly.
caleb <3: yeah, ik... had some free time, messed around with a few things :p
another message came through right after.
caleb <3: say, what happened to the meals i prepared for you?
then another...
caleb <3: did you not like them? let me know so i know for the future if your tastes changed, sorry pretty girl
you were quick to type out a response, seeing as his typing bubble didn't disappear.
[name]: no!! i loved them all, just... they're gone :(
the message was marked as read immediately as he your phone began to ring.
you sighed, but your lips curled into a small smile as you answered.
“hi, caleb.”
“hi,” he echoed, his voice warm despite the slight scolding tone. “now, tell me, honey—how are they already gone? i made sure they’d last until i got back.”
you pouted, sinking further into the couch. “i got bored… and they were really good.”
caleb chuckled, and you could just picture the way he’d be shaking his head if he were here. “i swear, you’re gonna make me start rationing your meals.”
“you wouldn’t.”
“would i?”
you frowned. “…would you?”
his laugh came through the speaker, low and sweet. “nah, i could never say no to you. but seriously, baby, if you need more food, i'll order something. don’t go eating those frozen meals, they’re so bad for you.”
“it’s just one,” you mumbled.
“still. i don’t like the thought of you eating that while i’m gone.”
you sighed, tugging at the microwave one more time. “well, maybe if you weren’t so far away…”
“aw, do you miss me, pretty girl?”
you refused to answer that; he already knew the answer.
caleb hummed. “yeah… i miss you too.”
his voice was softer now, and your chest ached at how much you just wanted him here.
“i’ll be back soon,” he promised. “then i’ll make you something actually edible, alright?”
you smiled. “alright.”
“good girl.”
you felt your cheeks heat up, and caleb laughed again, as if he knew. (which he did).
“love you, honey.”
“love you too,” you murmured, holding the phone a little tighter. "why exactly is the microwave locked?" you decided to question one more time.
caleb chuckled, "i know you, [name]. even if i wasn't watching you, you'd open it and still eat the pasta. better to take... precautionary measures for my pipsqueak. did you even check the expiration date?"
ignoring his question, you did a quick lookover of the room, looking for the camera he had somewhere as he only laughed. "maybe instead of looking for the cameras, find what else i modified in the house, it'll keep you occupied. i'll order you food in the meantime."
you groaned, flopping back against the couch. “caleb, i swear, if you messed with anything else—”
“if? honey, i definitely did.”
your eyes narrowed. “like what?”
“mmm, can’t say. that’d ruin the fun, wouldn’t it?”
you let out a dramatic sigh. “you are a menace.”
“and you love me for it.”
unfortunately, he wasn’t wrong.
you stood up, glancing around the apartment, suddenly suspicious of everything. you had no idea when he found the time to do all this, but knowing caleb, he planned ahead weeks in advance, just for moments like these.
the phone call was cut short as commotion started on his mission, leading you to sadly have to hang up.
you sighed, setting your phone down and eyeing the apartment with renewed suspicion.
as if on cue, you heard a soft click.
you turned your head slowly.
the front door.
more specifically, the new deadbolt that you definitely hadn’t installed.
your stomach dropped. oh, no.
another quick text from caleb.
caleb <3: your food is outside, i unlocked the door for you to grab it <3 be quick.
you did as he said, quickly grabbing the food delivery from outside, the door locking as soon as you got back in.
[name]: caleb. why is the door locked from the outside?
it took him a moment to reply, likely caught up with work, but when his name finally popped up on your screen, you already knew you wouldn’t like his answer.
caleb <3: oh, that? safety measures, honey. u can unlock it, but only through the app i installed on ur phone :)
you blinked. what app?
as soon as you asked, a new icon appeared on your screen—a sleek little security app with a familiar-looking otto icon.
caleb <3: just in case u ever get any funny ideas about leaving late at night alone.
your jaw dropped.
[name]: caleb. you remote locked me inside our home.
caleb <3: our very safe home! where nothing bad can happen to u!! :D i'll text u when i get to safety, enjoy ur food pipsqueak!
i love caleb btw
“what about him? he’s cute.” you followed chanel’s line of vision, your eyes landing on a guy with curly brown hair, a soft smile, and freckles that dusted across his cheeks. “he’s too cute.” you looked away, sighing to yourself as chanel snickered at your side. “oh, i’m sorry, i forgot you only like guys who look like they’re damn near unapproachable.” just then, you spotted rafe in the corner with another girl, that stupid flirtatious look adorning his face as he spared you a single glance. he knew you were looking at him, his hand trailing down the stranger’s back until he grabbed a handful of her ass through her dress.
truth be told, rafe didn’t really care about the girl in front of him. he was at this party for one reason, and one reason only; pussy. after you two ended things in a fit of rage, rafe couldn’t stop thinking about you, even going as far as stalking all of your socials and camping outside your house just to catch a glimpse of you since you enforced a strict ‘no contact’ rule. at the end of the day, he had needs, and his preferred need didn’t want shit to do with him, so now he was here; telling this girl whatever she wanted to hear in hopes he could ‘hit it and quit it’ as soon as possible.
he hated how sexy you looked sitting there. hair freshly done, your face was in what you called ‘full glam’, but your outfit? he was on the verge of dragging you out of the house and taking you home with him just for wearing it. a black see through dress, that he indeed could see through, black strappy heels that hugged your calves perfectly, and his personal favorite; a black lace choker with a ribbon in the front. to put it simply, you looked like sex on legs. “are you even listening to me?” rafe snapped out of his trance, a shit-eating grin playing on your lips while he cleared his throat awkwardly.
he was so pathetic, he had a free opportunity to get his dick wet standing right in front of him and he still couldn’t help but get distracted at the sight of you. if he wanted to make you mad, he needed to have actual competition, and just like both of you knew; there was no such thing. if rafe was going that low, you were going to go even lower. getting up from your spot on the couch, rafe’s eyes followed your every move as you made your way to the crowded living room. the lights grew dim, one of his favorite songs playing over the speakers as you started dancing.
you weren’t even by yourself for a full minute before you felt a pair of large hands snake around your waist, the person’s frontside digging into the soft flesh of your ass as your hips moved against the mystery man. rafe felt his eye twitch, his jaw clenching as you looked up just in time to hold your new dancing partner close by the back of their neck. “you fucking bitch..” he whispered to himself. as if you could read his lips, you turned around, looking up at the hottest guy in the room. besides your ex-boyfriend, of course. he had dark hair, a chiseled jawline, and was exactly the type to make rafe pissed.
pulling him down to your head level, you leaned in and kissed him, your eyes staying on rafe’s the entire time. at first, rafe was just gonna let you have your moment and let you think you got the last laugh.. but then he saw the guy’s hand slip underneath your dress and your tongue slip out of your mouth. “fuck it.” rafe nudged the girl off of his arm and stormed upstairs, your chest blooming with pride as you watched him disappear. once he was out of your sight, you pulled away from the stranger with a roll of your eyes, leaving the poor guy confused in the middle of the living room.
now that rafe was gone, you were bored once again, your phone going off inside your purse.
[10:10 PM] chanel <3: come upstairs!! hottie alert..
your eyebrows knitted in confusion at the message. ‘hottie alert’, chanel did not talk like that. adjusting the hem of your dress, you made your way upstairs where a line for the bathroom wrapped around the hallway. you could feel everyone’s gazes burning into your skin, your eyes scanning for your bestie in the crowded area. walking past some of the bedrooms, you paused once you reached the last door on the right.
“give me my phone you fucking psychopath!” the voice belonged to none other than chanel, your nails clicking against the metal knob before you swung the door open. “what the fuck are you doing?!” you shoved rafe in the chest before ripping chanel’s phone out of his hand. “i wouldn’t have to text you from your friend’s phone if you didn’t have me blocked on everything.” he spat, a teasing smile gracing his lips as you whispered something in chanel’s ear. “..are you sure?” you had just told her to give you a moment alone with him, your bestie feeling a little uneasy at the idea.
“trust me, i’ll be fine,” you scoffed, “look at him.” both of you turned around just in time to see rafe stand up with a wince.
you may or may not have pushed him straight into the chiseled edge of the hardwood dresser that sat in the corner of the room..
chanel accepted her phone as you handed it to her, making sure to shoot rafe one more glare before shutting the door behind her. rafe watched you click the lock, his figure towering over your own as he caged you between the wall. “posing as my friend to get me upstairs.. really, rafe? you look desperate as fuck.” you laughed, the degrading sound turning him on. he laughed along before wrapping a hand around your neck, the smile dropping from his face the second he leaned into you. “so what does that make you? ‘over here shoving your tongue down some random dude’s throat.”
you scoffed before rafe pressed into your windpipe, your eyes fluttering shut at the force. “you started it.” your voice barely came out above a whisper, a shiver running down your spine when you felt his breath fan against your cheek. “yeah? well, then i guess that means i should finish it too then, huh?” before you had a chance to get out some catty remark, he gripped the sides of your neck, dragging you over to the bed before pinning you down by your wrists. he took this time to examine your outfit closely, his nostrils flaring as your nipples were visible through the fabric.
“looks like you came here for the same reason i did,” he laughed, “what? you don’t got any panties on either?” you struggled against him, thrashing in his hold while your heel clad feet dangled off of the plush mattress. “why do you care? you’re not getting anything.” rafe smirked, his eyebrows lifting as if you just proposed a challenge. taking one of his hands off of your wrists, you wasted no time in landing a slap across his cheek, the action only making him grow hard in his boxers. “the fuck was that supposed to do?” he laughed, “that’s just foreplay for me, baby.”
you groaned, rolling your eyes before you felt rafe’s hand slip underneath the waistband of your panties. all objections died in your throat when his fingers worked skillfully around your clit, your body jolting at the familiar stroke of his digits. you hated that you let him get to know you like the back of his hand. the man knew what it took to get you purring, your hips chasing his touch for more friction. “look at you, you’re so fucking easy.” you shoved his chest in a poor attempt to get him to back off, the action deemed useless as he took your hand and pressed kisses to your knuckles instead.
“i hate you.” you moaned. without warning, rafe slipped both his middle and ring finger inside your soaked entrance, your arousal contradicting your words. “hate me? it sure as hell doesn’t feel like it..” you cried out when he curled his digits, the tips of his fingers pressing against your sweet spot. it didn’t take long before you were trembling, your thighs threatening to snap shut around his wrist. one look up at rafe and you could see just how much he was enjoying this, the erection in his pants catching your attention. you decided right then and there you weren’t going to be the only one coming undone.
palming him through his jeans, rafe’s mouth opened as he let your other hand free, your dark gaze meeting his own before you were working him out of his pants. he gave you a little bit of leeway, allowing you to sit up just enough to be eye level with his throbbing cock before he ran his tip across your lips. “you know what to do with it, baby.” poking your tongue out, rafe groaned as you held him at the base, taking the first half of him between your lips. “see? this is what your mouth is for.. ‘it’s not for all that fucking attitude you give me.” he stroked the side of your cheek before cradling your head with both hands.
just as you rested your hands on his thighs, rafe tugged on the roots of your hair before forcing himself to hit the back of your throat. you whined, your nails digging into the denim of his jeans. asshole, you thought. rafe could see the combative look in your eyes, a knowing smirk gracing his lips before you swallowed around his length, drawing a hiss from the man above you. he continued dragging your mouth up and down his length until he was panting, his eyes rolling back the same way they did before he was going to shoot his load. pinching his side, rafe groaned as you pulled away with a gasp, slipping out from under him.
his cock was standing straight up against his stomach, your saliva running down the underside of it while his chest rose and fell with each breath. “you were just waiting to do that shit to me, weren’t you?” he stood up, kicking what was left of his jeans off of his ankles before wrapping a fist in your hair and slamming you against the wall. you yelped, a teasing grin taking over your features as he hiked your dress up, lifting you off of the floor with ease. rafe held you, his large palms squeezing the globes of your ass before slapping the flesh there harshly.
rafe leaned in to kiss you, his ego taking another hit when you moved your head to the side. “i’m about to fuck you stupid and you can’t even let me taste you?” he tsked, “is that really how you wanna be on valentine’s day?” you scoffed at his words, your eyebrows knitting together as he pulled your panties to the side. “you don’t even care about valentine’s day. you said it was corny, remember?” he ran his leaking tip between your folds, a whimper leaving your lips when you felt him nudge your sensitive bud. “yeah, i said a lot of shit, i know that, alright?” rafe grabbed your chin, forcing your head to stay in place, “but i want that to change.. ‘want things to be different between us.”
it was hard to deny him when he was sliding into you, your arms wrapping around his neck as he moaned in your ear. “you say that every single time..” you grumbled, your walls fluttering around the girth of him. rafe bit down on the sensitive part of your neck, a small gasp emitting from your mouth before he started rocking into you. “i mean it, though,” he grunted, “i want you back at home, at tanneyhill.” slowly but surely, rafe kissed up your jaw until you hesitantly gave in and let him take your lips with his. it was searing— the way your mouths melted into one was nothing short of addicting.
rafe’s hips slammed into your own with a precision that turned you into a puddle of nothing, your nails running along the back of his head as his chest pressed into yours. “you want me back home?” you bit his bottom lip, tugging on it until he cursed out loud. you ended up pulling a little too hard, a small bead of blood pooling in the indent you managed to make with your teeth. rafe was turned on out of his mind, his hips moving faster as he began thumbing at your clit. “fuck— yes, i need you back home. m’gettin tired of this stalking bullshit.” you giggled at the revelation, pulling him in for another kiss.
both of you moaned at the metallic taste on your tongues, your hand snaking down to fist his t-shirt. “prove it then.” that was all rafe needed to hear before he went all in, his thrusts growing rapid and hard— your head knocking against the wall behind you. your moans were so graphic, rafe couldn’t believe he lasted this long without hearing them. pretty soon, you were gasping for air, the band in your tummy snapping as rafe watched the way you lost yourself in his arms. you were so fucking pretty like this. swollen lips, heated skin, sparkly eyes and your now fucked up hair. you looked absolutely perfect.
having been denied an orgasm the first time, he had no idea how he hadn’t filled you with his seed yet, his climax just in arm’s reach. “please let me cum,” rafe pleaded, his abs constricting as the familiar heat began to simmer in the pit of his stomach, “i haven’t finished in fucking months.” you did a double take, your eyes widening slightly. “are you tapping out, ‘cameron?” the man in front of you rolled his eyes before burying his face in the curve of your neck. “are you really gonna make me say it?” your cunt was sucking him in like a vice, his eyes screwing shut as he started falling over the edge.
“of course i am. tell me i win before i unwrap my legs around your waist.” rafe gave in immediately, a pathetic ‘you win, you win, baby!’ was grunted into your flesh as you felt the hot ropes of his cum paint your insides. he stilled, his cock twitching until you took him for all that he had. rafe’s fingers dug into your skin, leaving crescents engraved in their wake. “shit.” he sighed, peppering your exposed chest with kisses. very gently, rafe carried you over to the bed where he adjusted your dress. “as much as i love the way this looks on you, you’re keeping this dress inside the house and that’s it.”
grabbing your phone, you opened your text thread with your best friend. rafe could hear the rapid clicking of your nails on your screen, his eyebrows knitting together as he pulled his jeans back on. “what are you doing?” he asked, craning his neck to steal a glance over your shoulder. “i’m just letting chanel know we didn’t kill each other.”
fair point.
