Since Mlanderson and EMH are in the same universe i thought id make Brian the Michael/Patrick of this story, except more involved. Instead of their being a shaun i think id like Brian to just go to MH crew, if ykwim. I did this cause the only other character i thought could fit Brian was Alex!EMH and I didnt like that.

My take on Masky is that hes just a more aware Tim, not a separate being (tho i do like to think of it that way for fun sometimes ha ha). Masky in my mind was in a battle against the operators control and was ultimately trying to help Jay. I think Masky would br Habit in this series cause of the theory that Habit is one of the first few iterations of Evan, thats why theyre similar and so compatible etc if you know the theory you know. That does mean that Tim isnt gonna act all ha ity, just more erratic i think, i havent gone tooooooo far into a characterization(or even a name) for Emh!MH Habit yet

I think the rest of the correspondences make sense if you think about it a bit. Jay as Vinnie makes sense to me because of boths compulsive need for answers even though its destructive to those around them. Jay wouldnt be as much as a villain in this like vinnie is (or maybe i havent decided muahaha). I also thought they fit cause they both do that weird thing where they constatly have to document everything.

I thought tim eould fit Evan just cause of the whole habit arc.

Alex as Jeff was more of a fill a role thing that eventually made sense to me. I did think of making him Evan and Tim Jeff, and im still thinking of doing this, but i thought the whole finding the gf arc would fit alex more. Alex would still be one of the villains i think. Like i said this would be marble hornets told through EMH lol. I might even switch it up and assign a habit type role to Alex instead and there be two patrick characters who knows!

-SCARECROW AS THE NEXT VILLAIN. He has to be so sexy and he cannot be sidelined the way he was in nolans films. in my eyes cillian murphy was the most perfect scarecrow like inherently thats just a very sexy guy (scarecrow & cillian LMAO) and i really want them to keep up with like a scary cryptic eerie even horror theme. so obviously we cant cast cillian again so im thinking of a really gaunt actor with loads of sex appeal in that odd way, also i dont want him really old and grandpa looking but not super young either bc hes a professor and/or a doctor depending on what route we're taking....mentally im thinking hes starting off as a professor and follow that storyline of how he shoots a gun in class and gets fired (And because i am a genius i want harley to be in this class obviously before she becomes harley...i just want her to be like teased here as a student interested in psychology but more thoughts on that later) SO IN TERMS OF CASTING Im having a really hard time thinking of tentative actors rn But idk. ill update if i think of someone i swear, its just hard to pin that type of actor until you see him

THIS ISNT TO SAY I DONT WANT THE FORMER VILLAINS TO NOT REOCCUR I DOOOOO I DO Obviously riddler in arkham and penguin building off of falcones empire and Selina is obviously coming back to gotham, id like to think shes gonna get rich in bludhaven and come back with a new rich lady persona lol. 2.) im not an expert at queer history and im definitely making a lot of generalizations here that would make a historian flinch, but whenever i look at like,, historical queer media (poems, mostly, i read a lot of poetry for someone who doesnt like poetry) you dont really see gay people Yearn For Marriage like we do in more modern times; i mean, im not an expert on sappho’s writings, but she was kind of [waggles hand] mehhhh abt marriage, while also talking abt how great ‘’‘‘female companionship’’’‘ is. het marriage, and consummation, are often compared to theft and violence in her poems (albeit subtly) while the relationships between women who were...... involved were seen as erotic and comforting.

the two are never conflated, you know, she never talks about maidens marrying each other or wishing that they could, despite talking about marriage pretty frequently. m/f relationships and f/f relationships, which we would both define modernly as the same thing (just plain old love) are shown to be separate things from sappho’s perspective.

i mean, you see more recent stuff about gay people wanting to be married, but like, thats usually within the last couple hundred years. idk what the cultures joe and nicky grew up in taught on marriage, but a lot of Ye Olde people didnt expect to love the people they married (& of course these things depend on where youre from, era, class, gender, etc)

  i mean, i imagine that joe, as the heir of his family’s business, probably had to dodge arranged (economic) marriages, and nicky, well-- there are tons of ‘gay person becomes priest to avoid het marriage’ stories out there. joe and nicky honestly for a good majority of their lives probably saw marriage as an unfortunate inevitability that they luckily got to avoid. and i imagine its likely that they didnt associate love with marriage-- or at least, they saw it as a social or economic thing?

i mean, women being married off to create children and be ‘provided for’, or men getting married to create heirs and for.. sexual satisfaction (i guess).... where does what joe and nicky had comply with that kind of relationship, you know? neither of them was a woman who needed to be economically provided for, neither of them needed or wanted heirs-- just nothing about that specific type of social contract would appeal to them. they probably just saw their relationship with each other as something entirely different than the relationship of a marriage

I dont really harass anyone who likes HP, but I do block because I cant trust anyone who visibly likes it anymore. Theyre either completely ignorant of what JKR is doing or they know and are fine with being associated with that, and on tumblr its usually the latter. When someone says 'anyone who likes my work supports my views', even if its not necessarily true, it still leaves a pit in my chest when I see someone who is a fan of her works.

Idk, I never got into HP as a kid, but I've dropped nostalgic books before when I realized how fucked up they were, hurts for a little then I just stop thinking about it.

I was never claiming if you did or didn't harrass people. Idek if you're the same person that sent to original ask because this is all anonymous.

I do want to say that you're allowed to feel that way; curate your own space. But everyone can't be filtered into those 2 specific camps and everyone doesn't have the same opinions on it as you do. Like I said in a previous post, I for example don't care if someone like HP or not. It's not a red flag for me and personally I find it unfair to make any sort of judgment based on that. I also don't care if someone just prefers to not be around others that enjoy it. ok thoughts on Diary Queen

lets go in order since i decided to write things down as i watch the episode in order to stay focused

first of all holy shit the animation in the intro musical number was SO expressive and SO fluid, i cant believe they worked so hard on what (for what all intents and purposes) is a throwaway gag but im definitely not complaining!! it was a treat to see and the song was great too. i remember reading something about them having a broadway musical style episode planned for this season and for a moment i thought this would be the one because of how high quality that bit was. i was wrong, but now at least this has me looking forward to the actual musical episode whenever it comes out

nelson quote of the episode: "thank you...*grabs two cut out bible curse words from jar* ...adultery ass"

the repurposing of marcia wallace's past recordings as edna was actually pretty ingenious, even if you can tell what episodes they took them from...they picked some very poignant quotes and put them to great use. i love that ednas signature quote is starting to become "if you can teach one kid one thing, then today will be a success" from Bart Gets a Z (very underrated episode)

really interesting how bart was immediately averse to seeing 'the dark side of another marriage' (not to mention immediately assuming that ned and edna had marriage problems upon finding her diary)

i dont know why but my jaw dropped when they used fiona apple's shameika in the episode...its from a pretty recent album (and pretty damn good too) so i was like wow...the taste *pinched fingers emoji* (i personally wouldve saved it for a lisa episode but maybe thats just me since i associate fiona with lisa HAHA not complaining either way)

yknow speaking of lisa, as i was watching the episode for the first time i was kind of annoyed at lisa like damn girl just let him have this one thing...he just wants genuine support and someone who believes in him. but at the same time, as soon as she started getting itchy (literally) over not being able to tell bart the truth about what he misinterpreted and effectively letting bart live a lie, i was like 'oh. i get it' and other people might see that as stupid but oh my god...im the same. i wish i wasnt though. im afraid people might misinterpret her anxiety over it as her not wanting to see bart happy, especially because thats what i initially thought they were going for too, but as the episode progresses i think it becomes clear that its more about her needing to tell bart the truth to an almost pathological degree but also not wanting to hurt barts feelings in the process. "im letting him live a lie that might ruin him!!" idk. found it relatable for better or for worse

bart after he learns the truth was honestly truly heartbreaking to see man......i dont have much to say, i just really feel for him and they did a great job at expressing his hurt over learning about his misunderstanding. i feel like he recovered a little too quickly after the talk with ned (i blame this on the episode format since it was time to wrap things up) but it was a touching moment nonetheless. another amazing use of archive recordings, this time from The Seemingly Never-Ending Story. it almost feels as if they had written the episode around this particular quote because of the syngergy it has with barts feelings after thinking edna believed in him (which she did all along as it turns out)

“Star” Teaser Analysis

(disclaimer: this is less of an “analysis” and more of a “pointing out possible connections to past lore without really theorizing on what it could mean” since im not good at coming up with actual theories ;;)

Well, I wasn’t expecting Loona to drop a teaser out of nowhere, but here we are! Even in this short teaser we can see that the lore is continuing from Why Not. Analysis under the cut!

ok so first off, the pairings we get in the group shot are very interesting. we get a close-up of everyone. first is chuu and go won:

who have obviously been paired together before via their scenes in so what:

as well as just both being members of yyxy. (although during why not they weren’t in the same subunit)

next, we have jinsoul and kim lip:

aside from both being members of OEC, them in particular out of the 3 are connected, as they worked together in love cherry motion to lure choerry to cosmos/the middle world (jinsoul leaving the cherry & kim lip using the flashing mirror thing)

^^^ (kim lip is seen in the LCM field in the “reveal” teaser so this is most likely her)

anyways, then we have the final group before we go to solo shots of the girls sitting by themselves; olivia hye, yves, and heejin:

heejin and yves don’t have any particular connections as far as I know, (let me know of anything if there is!) but olivia has connections to both yves and heejin. let’s start with yves.

obviously they’re both members of yyxy, but as most of you know, it runs deeper than that. i’ll try to summarize since there’s a lot to their relationship.

the lyrics of egoist seem to imply that olivia trusted yves at one point (and perhaps even loved her), but something happened that severed their bond, known only as “letting her fall” - it’s unclear if that’s literal or a metaphor for something else, but the important thing is that olivia gained a deep-seated anger (what she in yyxy represents as seen in “one”) towards yves.

(this possibly led to olivia killing vivi in order to hurt yves, but that’s a whole other theory, let’s get back on track lol)

anyways, in hi high, we see olivia being reluctant to join the rest of loona, but eventually she jumps down from eden after seeing yves smiling up at her from earth, so it seems in the end olivia forgave yves for whatever happened.

they seem to be on good terms, since olivia is literally resting her head on yves’ shoulder, but if this is the same altered timeline as why not, then it’s possible that in this timeline nothing bad ever happened between them.

we get a rehash of egoist in why not, but it only parallels the aesthetics of that mv - it’s unclear if olivia was doing what she was doing because of drama with yves like in the og predebut timeline or for some other reason.

anyways, what matters is they are connected. now let’s move onto heejin.

olivia and heejin are ALSO pretty obviously connected. heejin is the first girl to be revealed, and olivia is the last. they meet at the end of egoist:

and have been seen to parallel each other during the likes of so what and other material. while heejin is often interpreted to be some kind of god-figure in the loonaverse, a force of good, olivia is often made out to be the bad guy - burning the moon in so what, refusing to join the rest of loona in hi high, etc. this can also be seen in their outfits - heejin in white, olivia in black.

anyways, that’s enough about olivia. let’s get back to the teaser. after getting close ups of all the girls in the first group shot, we get this:

a shot of two hands separating, a close up of heejin opening her eyes, and a shot of heejin waking up in a bed of pillows and looking around. now what does this remind you of?

that’s right - it’s egoist babey!! you thought we were done with olivia? HAH

ok, on a more serious note. this clearly parallels the opening of egoist in which we get a shot of hands (which from promo pictures we know to be yves and olivia’s) separating, and then olivia opens her eyes and wakes up on a matress.

it also seems to somewhat parallel olivia’s appearance in the XIIIX teaser, where she wakes up at the bottom of a staircase.

back to the star teaser, we then get this shot:

from the blurry reflection im gonna tenatively say this is hyunjin, but it could also be choerry. or who knows, maybe it’s both! they are counterparts after all.

(if it is choerry, it’s interesting that we’re getting her staring at her reflection again - perhaps another appearance of the other choerry from the flipped side of the mobius strip?)

we then see go won standing in front of the same window, looking somewhat surprised or intrigued. go won has connections to both hyunjin and choerry, so either one makes sense.

go won made the bracelet that the cat delivers to hyunjin in around you, as seen in see saw when she completes it and gives to said cat:

(along with a cat also appearing in go won’s solo mv one&only)

go won also set out a table for choerry in her castle, as seen by the cherries on the plate in one&only. choerry also directly appears in the one&only mv, delivering an apple to go won by yves:

so whether it’s hyunjin or choerry, the connection makes sense.

after go won’s window shot, we get a shot of chuu sitting on the floor. this seems to be one of many “filler shots” - there for the mv, not the lore. all loona mvs have them - most dance breaks, any shots where they’re singing directly to the camera, etc. i will be skipping these since i dont see any lore significance in them - if you or someone else does, great! i probably just missed it lol

anyways, the next shot i want to talk about is the one right after the chuu one.

we see heejin walking into a circle with the other members. there aren’t any connections i can think of so to speak, (other than the fact that heejin is standing beside hyunjin and olivia, both whom have connections with her) but we get another shot of this scene after one of heejin amongst the stars.

ok but in all seriousness, i feel like this post has significance. loona is no stranger to magic (1/3 literally cast an “arcane spell of love” to rescue yeojin in sonatine), so it’s possible that they are doing some sort of spell or something.

 the pattern on the ground seems to resemble the sun, but knowing loona’s long-standing connections with the moon, and the burning moon in why not that appeared to be the sun, this could also be the moon; specifically, the moon after olivia set it on fire in so what.

perhaps they’re trying to “heal” it/return it back to normal? we see them dancing on the (perfectly ok) moon in why not, so perhaps this scene takes place between the burning moon scenes in why not and the moon dancing scenes? who knows.

another big thing i noticed is that they’re organized by subunit AND reveal order!!!

if you start at heejin and go counter-clockwise around the circle, they’re all in reveal order!!! 

heejin -> hyunjin -> yeojin -> vivi -> kim lip -> jinsoul -> choerry -> yves -> chuu -> go won -> olivia hye

that’s just... so cool to see aksjgjkagshjk ;;;

ok let’s continue. 

this next shot (aside from being really cool, im sure this is gonna become plenty of people’s headers lol) sort of reminds me of the og midnight festival teaser image. idk, maybe it’s just the twinkly stars and chuu looking back at the camera. as a sidenote, the arrangement of the girls in this shot doesn’t seem to have any meaning.

we get a bunch of filler shots of the girls (looking stunning as always!!) and then we get THIS:

ONCE AGAIN, HEEJIN & OLIVIA!!! this was the first scene in the teaser to actually make me squeal out loud lol. 

this part seems to signify what’s been shown before - heejin and olivia are parallels, counterparts, opposites. heejin is the first girl; she is light, good, regal and godly. olivia is the last girl; dark, “evil”, lowly and broken.

i find their expressions interesting. heejin once again has this very regal look about her, and while olivia gazes directly at her, heejin is focused on their touching hands. she looks almost.... bored. it gives me this sense of like “ugh, i cant believe im having to associate with HER” kinda vibe. idk, maybe that’s just me.

olivia on the other hand doesn’t seem to have any sort of distaste in her expression, she just has this focused, intent look towards heejin. i wonder if there’s any significance in the fact that olivia is looking right at heejin, while heejin avoids eye contact and instead looks at their hands?

a few filler shots later, and we get this one with yeojin and go won:

the first thing i thought of when i saw this was that part in the “#3″ teaser for so what with go won and chuu:

although it’s interesting to note that while in that shot, both go won and chuu turn around to peek at the camera, in this one, only yeojin turns her head while go won stays faced away.

at first i was a little confused, since connections between yeojin and go won didn’t immediately pop to mind. but then i remembered a connection between them i had been thinking about literally like a week ago - they’re both princesses!

go won seems to live in some sort of castle in one&only and is repeatedly seen with crown imagery or actual crowns:

yeojin’s princess imagery is a bit less obvious, but she wears a white dress with a tiara and is seen dreaming about princes and becoming a princess.

there’s also some theory that states that this flower thing yeojin wears on her chest in her main outfit for the mv is supposed to represent royalty IRL or something like that (i dont remember)

so there is a connection there, even if they haven’t really interacted one-on-one before.

after the shot of yeojin and go won, we get this shot:

KFJSKGHJ OK IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, why do they look so.... passive aggressive?? they’re not smiling, they’re just staring at each other in this relaxed yet oddly confrontational way...

we’ve already gone over their connection, but i wanted to leave this in since i feel it has significance of some sort.

after a shot of hyunjin’s hair blowing in some unseen wind, we return to the first group shot, with them all admiring the floating stars together, and that’s where the teaser ends.

Whew! That was a lot! I’m sorry this got so long, once I started analyzing there was more than I thought there was.

OK SO at first i was making them for fun but now im involved. they are def justice league associates in the long term but i think that . all of them changing their identities would stem from an arguments/them snapping against their mentors. like maybe a mix of many things but mostly just how batman can treat tim as a tool and doesnt rly care/see how tired n run down he is and how he keeps distance w the family despite all the weight on his shoulder, the whole mess between kon and clark and also uhhh i think its kara who hates him ? im not exactly sure for bart n cassie but for bart it’d def be about how he’s def treated more like a kid and how wally n him dont rly get along (or at least i dont think they do/didn’t use to idk wahts up in current canon tho)... cassie im not sure but idk i just have this whole idea of cassie just SNAPPING at batman n superman in particular,,, like,,, idk situation where th’yre on a mission together and batman didn’t like how tim strategized the whole thing and he kind of chew him up in front of the rest of the team and cassie jst Snaps and tells him off and then superman is here so shes like AND YOU ! and releases years of slow hot anger toward him about the whole conner situation,,, like conners her friend she has seen him be so upset aobut superman not acknowledging him n stuff ...

so yeah thats how it starts . and when the four of them are alone cassie doesn’t break or panic (but she prob calls cissie and then cissie laughs remembering their yj days when she got mad at superman and was all cool until she hyperventialted when she n cassie were alone !!!! ya) and they all talk and . yea. they need. they need a break from their ~mentors~ , they need to be away and dissociated from them, need to be their own persons that the trinity + the flashes cant yell at like subordinates.

SO i think they’re a bit in between the titans and the outlaws !!!! they’re not toeing the lines with being a rogue or putting a foot in shady stuff, but they def handle things their way, and its not always the most just or correct way to do it (in the trinity’s opinion). but they’re doing amazing and i kinda want them to go en epic adventures that no one actually knows about bc they do their jobs RIGHT... eventually they reconnect w their mentors and their “hero families” (tho i think jason & tim would get on really good because of that event) and are affiliated with the jla. but it’s a ! tense few months . bruce and tim are also rly awkward and like tim knows bruce is trying but man . is he bad at communicating .

besties this got so fucking long but heres a giant ramble about cherri

okay so. there are huge differences betwn cherri as a hyperviolent drac hunter and cherri as a friend of the four and cherri as the girls mentor. with the first one he was 17 and desperate to distance himself from his upbringing so he went all in on Being A Killjoy. he was always one of the first ppl to rush into a fight and he fought hard. he blew up his fuckin hand with that attitude. and all the while he was just racking up more unaddressed trauma and eventually he ran away from that, too. giving himself radiation poisoning was more appealing than facing his problems.

so as a teenager/young adult hes kind of constantly in a panicked state. hes scared the people from his past are going to find him and drag him back with them. so he lashes out and he runs away over and over again.

i said in another post that he has some past life shit goin on which usually would give him a connection to the witch that manifests early in life, but with all the stuff hes gone through he has been Preoccupied. he can become oblivious to almost anything that doesnt apply to whatever hes focused on. not in a hyperfocus way its likeeeeee. when u live on survival mode during prolonged periods of stress. hes immune to magic bullshit bc hes too tired and scared.

anyways around his mid-20s he finally has a little more stability (as much as the average person living in the zones can have, that is) and he finally notices that Weird Stuff happens around him. basically: out of my list of Powers People Connected To The Witch Have he has the prophetic dreams/enhanced intuition as well as a form of sensing ghosts where he can see auras and kind of like, echoes of past events in ppls lives. that look like auras. itz complicated and not of utmost importance so im leaving it at that.

anyways thats what makes him start writing poetry. just 4 funsies he'll describe his weird experiences and embellish them to make em pretty. just as a casual hobby n all that.

he would forget fun ghoul in between the times they ran into each other but its pretty easy to be reminded of who fun ghoul is. the most insane 10 year old cherri has ever met. cherri isnt a brother figure to ghoul. hes just. his friend that happens to be more than twice his age. its whatever lmao

to cherri, ghoul is kinda like a stray animal he keeps seeing. which is hilarious. ghoul actually goes and finds him to introduce him to jet when they start running together, and cherri meets party and kobra (spark and birdie at the time) when he drives the four of them to a party. because he has a truck hell yeah. so now instead of one stray animal he has, like, a feral cat colony that he drives around occasionally. i have no real-life human relationship equivalent to them because irl if some guy that is not related to any of you and isnt even a childhood or family friend and theyre hanging out with you? they are usually not a safe person lmao. but this is my fantasy land and im too stubborn to change anyones birth years even though ghoul being born in 2004 makes everything really hard to make not creepy.

so yeah hes a casual somewhat friend of the fab four. hed probably get more and more concerned as they got famous. the beginnings of any sort of protective feelings, awww :) that sets him up for becoming the girls mentor.

THE GIRL..... i think if i was in my late 20s and i heard that the gang of 13-17 year olds had adopted a 5 year old kid i would go bananas. what the fuck. it is a LONG while before cherri meets her. but he has the strongest affection for ghoul (if you could even call it that) and ghoul absolutely adores the girl and swings her around under her arms like a cat to show her off to cherri and its very endearing and the girl is sweet and funny so its easy to be around her. and (unfortunately) she is somewhat used to interacting with weird easily agitated people so she kinda gives him space. cherri isnt quite the uncle figure the fandom usually makes him (i luv uncle cherri sm but he simply cannot exist in the universe ive created, f), but hes a little similar.

and then the four had to go and pretend to die. lol.

when the girl was kidnapped, fucking everyone who knew her was ready to storm the city then and there. like regardless of how little you knew her, if you had ever met her you would fucking die for her. she is pure childish charisma and shes precious. i love the girl. so cherris immediately on board with whatever plan the four make to get her back. ive already talked abt how it fucked up the girl tho; there was no way to tell her that the four werent actually dead, she sees the building collapse and she shuts down. and cherri has to fight against his instinct to leave the radio station and never come back when he sees an eight year old girl sitting dissociated on the couch. that fucks everyone up.

i just realized i havent talked about literally anyone else at the radio station. i think cherri started lingering around the station bc it was safe and sheltered while also not being a popular spot. there are less kids there (people pass through but its not a hangout spot). he was kind of just hanging around to get away from the heat and noise and dr d took notice. because that man can see ur soul and no one knows if thats literal or not. so theyd chat a few times a day and show pony was the one 2 get him out of his shell a little and also was the first one he mentioned his poetry hobby to. im making this all up right now as im writing bc i dont know anything about LITERALLY any of the ppl associated w the radio like im not even going 2 try with chimp n newsie i do not have the willpower to tackle all that. justttt. cherri pony n D become bros and live 2gether there.

back 2 the regular timeline. the rescue mission happens in 2019. the girl lives at the station until 2023. during that time she is very much depressed and withdrawn and is only happy when the four come to visit. none of the Adults know how to help her so they just keep her safe and cared for and hope she'll open up to them.

she does not. she takes the weird cat thats been hanging around and she runs away.

cherri does not see her for three years. shes still worse for wear in the mental health department and he can see all kinds of visions of what shes been through since the last time he saw her and he fucking hates the ultra vs bc they remind him of his past. he does not want her going down that path but its obvious that she isnt crazy abt the ultraviolence thing either so thats a relief.

they have a kind of tense relationship throughout the comics. he feels like he failed her and that spirals into feeling like he failed the four for not being a good adult to them and fun ghoul for not helping enough when his commune was bombed and all kinds of shit and that irrational thinking mixed with plain old, yknow, caring about the girl, is what makes him take a bullet (laser. whatever) for her.

i was trying to figure out the timing of each of their ghost experiences, but i want both of them to talk to the witch and im just gonna make it like dreams where a whole buncha stuff happens but irl its been like seconds. so its like barely a second while the girl has her Witch Convo and cherri FINALLY gets a straight answer, yes there is weird shit going on with him having powers. he doesnt have any story-significant past lives because im lazy, hes just an old soul. like really fuckin old. the amount of latent life experience and stuff his soul/energy/whatever has picked up along the way makes him VERY noticeable to gods n stuff. he fuckin lights up all the alarms like what the FUCK is that over there. she wasnt rly able to get to him or even properly notice him while he was a kid and a young adult so shes happy to finally see him again. he has a STRONG sense of familiarity with her. they know each other on a wild ass level that he cant really comprehend.

listen, listen, i know it sounds like im woobifying her i Know it but reading the scraps of her story how can i Not feel sorry for her? when the story framed her very similar to jon? the supernatural childhood encounter that gave them arachnophobia and the subsequential joining with an Entity against her will? the fact that both the story and the fans treat her like a spider woman always sat very very bad to me, and the fact that the story itself always framed her like a villain (considering All The Other Characters that get the benefit of the doubt) was extremely disappointing

Takes place before MC entered devildom.

Satan is pleased as he can possibly be as the avatar of wrath. He finally got his hands on a cursed book he has been dying to get ahold of: a cursed book from the human realm. According to the humans he bought this book from a cruse has trapped a human soul within its pages. He could tell just by looking at it that the book had no such curse but did have a weird energy to it that a human would mistake as a curse.

He got to his room and locked the door behind him. He didn't want to be interrupted as he tried to work at whatever enchantment was on the book. He opened the yellowed pages and started to look for any signs of hexes or enchantments but he couldn't find any. He was about to give up when the soul of a young girl came out of the book.

"So you're the cause of this curse." Satan smiled with eureka.

"Curse? No I wasn't cursed. I wanted to be with this book." The ghost said as she took in her surroundings.

"Care to tell me how you ended up in the book? Normally human souls like to move on into the afterlife when their time has come." Satan said as observed the specter floating around his crowded room.

"Ohhh! I just didnt want to leave this book behind. You see winter came too soon one year I got ill and just didn't wake up. This book was my favorite and it would always make me smile." She explained.

She must be from the era the book was written then. Currently in the human realm medicine and technology have improved quality of life enough that she wouldn't associate her death with the harsh winter. She seemed to gaze in awe of all of Satan's books.

"Can...can I read some of these." The ghost said as she reached for a book but to her disappointment her hand when through the book.

"Sure, but I dont think you will have much luck reading them on your own." Satan said with a concerned smile.

A few days have past. The ghost has told Satan about her life as a human but says she cant remember much since. Satan explains that could be due to her lying dormant in her book. She has also started to read over Satan's shoulder. He didn't mind having her around she was quiet and loved reading whatever he was reading.

"I wish I could've met you when I was still alive." She said one night before he went to bed.

"I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be this close if we did." Satan admitted.

"Because of the whole demon thing?"

"Yes, I dont think anyone would approve." Satan said. He is certain she would've burned at the steak for associating with him.

"Oh... I mean..." the girl seemed flustered. A light pink managed to shine on her faded cheeks.

"N-not for marriage. Of course not for marriage! I meant just having me around!" Satan's face turned red as well.

"Heh... well that too I guess..." she laughed nervously.

Satan became a bit more aware of the ghost in his room since that day. Whenever she got close to him he would feel his heart race. It's not like she was doing anything differently just reading over his shoulder just like usual.

"You... you can sit in my lap if you want." He blurted out to her as she glanced over his shoulder.

"It doesnt make a difference. I'm floating either way." She replied but sat there anyway.

But it made a difference. As a demon he could sense her energy. He couldn't feel her weight but felt her soul nearby... it was hard to explain. She could feel his energy as well but could only feel it whenever she 'touched' him.

As a ghost it was the first thing she has felt in a while. She expected if he felt like anything it would be horrible but he felt warm. Like really really warm. The warmth of him felt so good when as a ghost she couldn't feel anything but cold and numb.

Unfortunately, both of them knew she needed to go to the afterlife. If she was to remain in devildom she would eventually be found and sent to one of the circles. Satan brought her up to the human realm and released her so she could go the the celestial realm. Their goodbye was bittersweet but they knew it was never ment to be.
