It’s hit me just now that Prince Dain had his eyes on the general's bastard daughters for quite some time, especially on Jude, seeing as the owl-faced hob who'd delivered Jude her first task from the Court of Shadows was the same one whom Jude had confessed to about feeling tired of being powerless.

so uh milgram fans are we ready to talk about this yet?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the fact that the real subject of the “experiment” of milgram is Es, not the prisoners? and how beyond the story, the true subjects are actually us, the viewers?

the most batshit insane traumatizing thing happened at work today & I won't know if people are dead bc of my inability to talk a man down from a mass murder until the news reports start coming out lollll
edit: it's all good there was nothing about a shootout on the news 🙏

Drawing Every Abnormality - Part 9
O-01-15: Nameless Fetus
Tumblr media
"Worried about Nameless Fetus, River checks on it repeatedly through the work process. Though, we should all know what they're actually worried about."
Featuring: River (Information Team Member)
Haha The Goo
Kinda mid drawing, mostly cuz drawing Hypocrisy made me wish for the end (I was working from the crustiest jpeg known to man it was Not Fun) and this guy isn't exactly known for having facial proportions that look right.
River is my beloved Blue Creature of Anxiety. He constantly looks nervous abt something, though it's more understandable when he's working with That Thing.
Speaking of... the Fetus! Can't say I'm a huge fan lol. Goop Baby Who Eats Your Employees and Releases the Abnormalities is not exactly one of the coolest abnos out there. Kinda boring design but hey at least it's easy to draw!

In the Pre-Quali show, Will Buxton and James Hinchcliffe discussed the team orders controversy from today's sprint. I agreed with some of what they were saying, but at the same time I felt they were being a bit too harsh in the way the talked about it. Commentators are allowed too be opinionated, of course, but I was curious to see if anyone else was a bit put off by this, or if I'm just being irrational/oversensitive(sry in advance for it being four mins lol)
#please dont be rude thank you :)#yes i understand team orders and their place within f1 !!!#but they also annoy me and the type of attitude people like the guys in this clip have around them gets on my nerves a bit#using the word brat. fascinating.#somewhere in the paddock sebastian vettel himself sneezed#i guess i dont exactly feel like its 'deferential' for someone to be thanked??? everyone deserves praise?? theyre people too???#just bcs theyre drivers why does that inherently mean they dont deserve to be thanked for doing their job?#plenty of times drivers have just outright ignored team orders#and theres pleny of drivers who arent team players#so i dont get why its such a terrible thing for a driver to be thanked for being a team player#yeah sure its an common expectation BUT it is not a given. not at all#imo not every driver is gonna be okay w giving up their lead for their teammate#i feel like you could be like okay but im still contributing to the wcc if i win soooo?#idk theres such a weird ass balance between drivers having to be team players YET-#- simultaneously having their teammate as their biggest rival so to me the lines are blurred#cause. would they expect oscar to play this team game if he had just as many points?#also saying lando did him a favor at hungary. stfu.#but i digress. i think everyone has bias when it comes to this issue specifically#its like my post abt penalties. its terrible when it happens to your fav but the best thing to ever happen when it comes to your opp#f1#formula 1#2024 brazilian gp

I think if you watch clone wars it's easy to forget that the prequel trilogy itself doesn't commit to treating the clones as people. Always "I'll take some clones with me" "I'm taking enough clones with me". Not their battalion or platoon numbers, even. Because that's not relevant. The jedi aren't outwardly rude or dehumanizing, but they make no effort to refer to the clones as anything but uncomfortably unethical and comfortably useful resources. Even after order 66 Obi-wan kenobi says, with a resigned kind of dissapointment "my clones have turned against me". As the audience you (correctly) develop the idea that the existence of the clones- and the acceptance and use of them with little opposition by the republic and the jedi- is key to the tragedy of their fall. And I'm not mad at the clone wars for fleshing out the war or humanizing the clones more but I do think it encourages a weird kind of subtle childish optimism by giving people a false hope of what if-? That the republic as it exists in the clone wars isn't already rotted through, that if everyone just figured everything out Better it would all be okay. But the point is that these millions of people raised for the purpose of war shouldn't exist to begin with. The point is that everyone around them is complicit- the characters you like and identify with and see as good. The point of the prequels is that normal is not dependable because normal can and will be evil, and without actively choosing otherwise you'll find yourself in it. You can dislike it you can be upset about it but aside from maybe a couple characters and blurry sections from holes in the writing, those characters would and did let that slide, at minimum. It's a precendent that makes sense in the context of tragedy and while yes it's hard to write around its strange to me that so much fan content is scared of it to the point that watching the original movies is a stark contrast.
