this scene progression is so haunting. enji once again get mad at all might's fame and the way he turns to rei and she's immediately terrified. cut scene and shoto's born, rei looks so exhausted. she's had to give birth four times cuz her abusive husband wanted a reincarnation of all might.

So re: last reblog, I think that, in the canon setting, Meredith's life is spent devoted to the Chantry and the Templar Order, and normalcy and a "happy ending" in terms of an average life cannot be met because of the constraints placed upon those in servitude to this religious institution.

For one, Meredith has only ever lived in an actual house as a very young child. After her sister's demon possession killed their parents and 70 of their neighbours, Meredith was taken in as a ward of the Chantry, being raised within its walls until she was old enough to become a Templar initiate, serving as Knight-Captain Wentworth Kell as his page, where I imagine she was living in the barracks by then with other initiates. From then on, as part of the Templar Order, she has only ever lived in the Gallows of Kirkwall as a Knight, and even as Captain (though at least then, I imagine Captains have a place to conduct their administrative tasks), until finally when she became Knight-Commander, she earned the right to living in private quarters, with furnishings including a decent queen-sized bed. However, these quarters are still very spartan, for the most part beyond a dresser/wardrobe, mirror, desk, and armour stands. Otherwise, her entire life has been spent in the walls of the Circle, but with the freedom to move outside of it as needed and wanted.

In terms of income, templars are paid by the Chantry as its militant branch, though again, they have their housing and other accommodations covered (food, armour, etc). However, they are not paid that much until in the higher ranks; therefore it would be difficult to save up a lot of money through this over the years, but even more so when some templars choose to indulge what little pay they have (e.g. how templars pay for sex at the Blooming Rose), or to support family members, etc. But much like the real world, living in servitude to a religious order often lays out an expectation to live a simple, pious life with few indulgences. For Meredith, I believe she has spent her pay over the years as Knight-Commander, buying history texts and non-fiction books, the occasional bottle of wine, and casual clothing for when she is invited outside of the Order (e.g. to parties hosted by the nobility), or when in need of casual clothes otherwise. In this sense, I believe she spent most of her "life savings" on the red lyrium idol, in a paranoia-driven desire to gain more power and control over the Circle mages (again, at this stage, she has been Knight-Commander for 15 years or so before Act 3, and therefore would certainly have plenty of coin accumulated to do so).

As I've talked about with regards to having actual relationships, Meredith's devotion to the Templar Order and her position in its ranks does not allow her to openly have a relationship. Again, while templars can be permitted to have external spouses outside of it, provided that said spouse can financially support themselves, this is typically oriented toward male templars, with female partners who can raise a family outside of the Order and have their partners visit. For a female templar in a heterosexual relationship, this is much harder, and for Meredith as a lesbian, wherein marriage is seen primarily as a means for reproduction in Thedas, pursuing a serious relationship to that capacity would be an oddity and would threaten her position as both Knight-Captain and later, Knight-Commander. If she does get involved with someone to a serious capacity beyond casual sexual relations, then there is the difficult factor of it needing to be kept in secrecy, but also the fact that she is always going to put the Order and the Chantry first over a partner, and therefore, she cannot ever experience a truly "normal" relationship in the canon setting.

While housing, income, and relationships are not all there is to a "normal life", these things are what most average people strive to have in order to feel successful. Therefore, the only time that Meredith could ever have these in her given life, is through alternate universes where, surviving in a post-DA2 world in exile, she would strive not only to repair her relationship but to live out the rest of her days with a small home, and to be secure in whatever means necessary. It's why in my DAI companion verse, provided her personal quest is completed, that after the Inquisition is over, she seeks to retire and try to live as normal a life that she can until the effects of lyrium-related dementia inevitably set in. (Which, as she has been using lyrium for all of her adult life, it is essentially unavoidable, and she is well aware of it, especially since she witnessed it happen for Wentworth who was on his death bed for two years before he succumbed to it, hardly remembering who she was by the end). But for Meredith, a few good years are better than none.

After months of a brutal and relentless feud between Youtube influencer Y/N Y/L/N and actress Amanda McAdams, it seems that Y/N has finally disappeared

After deleting all social media posts, and wiping her accounts clean, Y/N released a statement on twitter, declaring:

Y/N Y/L/N started off as a Youtube creator, filming videos of her singing covers of her favorite songs. After finding no success, she began to venture into creating videos about the one thing she knew everything about: celebrity culture.

Y/N found rapid success and her videos soon became viral, with her first series, ‘Internet Gossip’, explaining various cases of infamous celebrity deama. With the rise of social media and a wave of consuming media based on celebrity drama and gossip, Y/N found her place among an audience of mostly young women.

Soon becoming very successful with her videos, she branched out, beginning a few series, among them, ‘Salty Scandal’, focused on celebrity feuds and ‘Radical Romance’, about ongoing or previous famous relationships.

Although Y/N had a large fanbase, her rise to celebrity status was her first red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards, where she participated as an interviewer. It didn’t take long for her to become viral, as she was abrasive and blunt with her questions, not wasting time by beating around the bush.

Among fans and watchers, she was known as someone who searched for truth. Among those questioned, she was thought of as a person who dedicated their life to exposing others and invading privacy.

Y/N began to see the results of her fame. Her community grew and she hosted countless red carpets, interviewing the most famous people on the planet. And just as she seemed on top of the world, her downfall came from her own creation.

With the video, ‘Amanda McAdam: Actress or Victim?’, Y/N claimed that McAdam’s had dramatized her experience with a verbally abusive director, and that it was all for ‘a pity party’.

Following this video, McAdam’s and Y/L/N began a long feud, including several Twitter arguments and subtle shade thrown at each other in interviews or Instagram posts.

It culminated in what seemed to be the final blow; McAdam leaking Y/L/N's address. People and paparazzi alike stood outside of Y/L/N's home, with signs and hollers to let her know what they thought of her. This caused the Youtuber to have to hire private security to escort her as she moved to an undisclosed new home.

Everyone is glad to see Y/N, the devil of the internet, finally gone from the public view. Hopefully forever.

when i say that i hate endeavor i dont mean i think he’s icky and i dont like him. i mean i dont think he deserved the forgiveness he got im so sorry. for context let’s back things up. the entire todoroki family lore is SO FUCKED UP. the whole “convenience marriage” thing? WHACK. sa-ing rei until she gave him the child he wanted? WHACK. and we don’t talk about that enough! it was rape! he didn’t care about her at all, he just wanted the perfect weapon to beat all might! and then touya’s whole deal? the fact that he was literally self destructing bc he thought he wasn’t good enough? and endeavor never made him feel good enough? he had all the right to become a villain.

and then, shoto. literally alienated him from his siblings so none of them know a single thing about him and vice versa. weaponizing him since he was a TODDLER. and saying he was “tough on him” is a SEVERE understatement, that little boy was thoroughly abused.

and then the aftermath of the whole thing with rei. he traumatized her so bad it led her to BURN HER OWN SON’S FACE. and what did he do instead of reevaluate his behavior? LOCK HER UP IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION. and not because he cared for her health, but because he didn’t want her to hurt shoto again. messed. the fuck. up.

and if yall gonna come in here and say “oh but other characters have been forgiven after their redemption arcs like zuko and regina mills” DONT YOU EVER COME IN HERE WITH THAT SHIT. their entire redemption arc revolved around them making a wrong choice that further proved to them that being good was the right way. they felt severe unease, and like it wasn’t “them”, so to speak, at being inherently “evil” so they CHOSE to convert because being “evil” was not their true selves. they made MISTAKES but learned from those mistakes BY THEMSELVES without anyone else influencing their thoughts or telling them anything. they CHOSE good because the people they cared about were good, and they wanted to be with them. they made a bad choice, yes, but the whole point of the redemption arc was that they learned from it and improved their characters. endeavor did not make a bad choice, he abused actual, living people for many, many, MANY years. it wasn’t a “bad choice” it was a deliberate decision to fulfill his stupid fucking delusions of grandeur.

how are those antiheroes different from endeavor you ask? I WILL TELL YOU. sure, he got a redemption arc, and sure he got forgiven. but did yall notice he only did an effort to do better after he became the number 1 hero? after shoto was in UA and his children were grown? after rei was locked up so she couldn’t tell anyone about what happened? after all might was no longer the symbol of peace? he only made the effort to become a better person once his OWN PERSONAL GOALS were fulfilled. he always prioritized himself. he didn’t learn shit. he’s not sorry for shit. he regrets nothing. he just wants to be perceived as the perfect #1 hero like all might was.

be fucking for real, his redemption arc was NONEXISTENT, and his children should not forgive him no matter how hard he begs. he does not deserve forgiveness. he’s a fucking abuser, rapist, and all around ASSHOLE.

if he has no haters im dead. and if i see even one endeavor ass kisser in the comments, you’re getting blocked idgaf. the fact that you think he’s hot and just because of that he earned his forgiveness will not fly here hoes idc. that man deserves to rot in hell for all he’s done, if he wasn’t (and i cannot stress the “quote unquote” part enough) “attractive” yall would be on the other side. i can’t anymore, endeavor stans gtfo.

Christmas List on What I Wish for in SP S:27 next year

1.) I want the focus to be with the boys. I know I am not the only fan that is sick of the Tegridy Farms seasons. Randy is cool but not as the main character. I want to see some school drama such as crushes, the cheese touch game, role playing and more. idk I want the kids to act like kids and have fun (while of course having their games be blown out of proportion) 

2.) While I am not personally a Style shipper I have noticed that Kyle and Stan have been quite distant in the past seasons. In the End Of Obesity special Kyle rarely interacts w/ Stan, instead focusing purely on Cartman’s health and feelings. In the next season I hope Trey and Matt possibly focus on their friendship . I don’t have a clear opinion on what I want as a solution but I think some ideas would either them becoming friends again or distancing even more ( and the two trying to find new super best friends : Stan with either Tolkien, Kenny or Butters and Kyle with Cartman, Tolkien or Kenny(?) While it would be sad it would be an interesting arc for the season.

3.) I want more of the girls. I love Wendy and the other girls. While I do believe they are a little satirized (due to Matt and Trey both being guys) I do hope we could see more of them as regular 4th grade girls rather then being used as plot point for the boys to be crushing on. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the ep Bebes Boobs Destroy Society, but by just looking at the title you can tell where I am coming from. So, more girls being girls that have stories that don’t always have to link back to a crush on a boy. 

4.) OK, this one is is kinda self indulgent but I want to see Cartman be in drag again. I want Bad Irene. Bonus if Bad Irene sings a Lady Gaga song like Bad Romance or Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears. I love that Cartman canon likes pop music and I want to see more of that in the next season.

5.) Now for this one I have actually read and seen fans have this sick headcannon and I wouldn’t mind it being cannon either. Basically, Liane and Clyde’s dad get together. Then Cartman and Clyde become like brothers. I really like this and I think it would be kewl if they argued on who was the older brother. An alternative is that instead of Clyde, Scott Tenorman starts living with Cartman. The sibling rivalry would be crazy and so funny. I think Trey and Matt could push these two on how far they could go to enact revenge. 

6.) This one may seem very random but I want a Liane Cartman backstory. I want to know what made her into the towns biggest wh*r3. She obviously must have had some traumatic event and I kinda want it to be a tragic love story. Maybe her lover was killed and she soon fell into drug abuse and selling her body. How South Park treated her and just how she started getting her redemption arc in the more recent seasons. If we’re to format this as an episode I would want it to be Liane telling Cartman a bedtime story (this is kinda an excuse to see them getting along but whateva it’s cute so idc) 

7.) I need more Kenny. PLEASE 🙏 Kenny has been sidelined for SOO LONG! Any story will do: him and butters? Awesome! Him and Cartman? Hell yeah! Him and Karen? AAAAASAAAASAAAHSHSJBEBFJDDJJDEJ PLEASE THEY’RE SO CUTEEE 💗

 8.) Sorry for the last one, ok but talking about more focus on character’s, I kinda want a focus on the pets. Y’ know like Sparky, Mr Kitty and Kyle’s Elephant that did it with Cartman’s pig (that ep was … something to say the least) Anyways, I love the pets they are cute and I want more, thank you (and Craig’s Guinea pig  Stripes) 

9.) Lore drops from characters will be awesome. Like, it dosent just have to be Liane (as I mentioned before) I wouldn’t mind an ep on how Gerald and Sheila fell in love, it would be a really cute nerd x girl boss storyline

10.) …jersey kyle. IDK, Kyle being a brash, loud asshole is straight gold. I need him to snap and start calling everyone muff  cabbage (+ jersey kyle meets bad Irene and he falls head over heels… WHO SAID THAT??)

And i have a few opinions to say:

1. Gigi was the best player, idc. I hate Brady for what he did and the way Gigi handled the situation was rlly good, i love her even more in this book. The cliffhanger had me screaming😭😭

2. Apperantley, everyone loved Odette..and mabye i'm just being a hater but i didn't find anything interesting about her character😭. For me she was just "there", sure she helped a lot, but what was the point?? The only reason i kind of liked her character was because she gave us so many Lyrason moments. I kind of felt bad for her towards the end tho. She gave Grayson and Lyra hints, she solved some of the mysteries...but her character was lacking something. I did like her tho and i wanted her to be in the for a while.

3.grayson was best version of himself,i KNOW he was thinking with his dick the whole book but it was actually hilarious, and the character growth he had??? Amazing, truly. He was finally healed. Also the rizz he had...?

4.i liked Lyra's chapters the most, prolly because her father's whole case had me so invested.

5. I loved all the Savannah x Rohan moments we got. The tension AHHHH.

prayinggg we get a no soundtrack version because while i do like a few of the tracks (yes even Enemy!!!), there are more duds than hits and they take me out each time

also obviously i'm a Jinx Is Alive truther because of the ending scene of cait staring at the air ducts to the hextech tower fiddling with a fragment of her bomb...come on. jinx has said in the start of the season that she wanted to leave piltover/zaun and with isha gone and her sister happy, she can finally do that

i am very invested in jinx and vi's relationship so when jinx without any hesitation chose to let herself go from vi's grasp and destroy warwick (both something that vi could not do) which in one fell swoop legitimizes her agency, protects vi from a monster, saves vander from eternal hell - i'm like yea...[sniffs] that's a redemption arc baby

jinx and vi. piltover and zaun. they'll always be sisters...yea....

i admire the open ending with the airship. but she did say she'll ride one of those things one day. yay.

Sharing my thoughts for Bridgerton season 3 cause I’m a hater

spoilers obviously i guess?

Disclaimer: i have not read the books but I have enjoyed both previous seasons more

Things I didn’t like (there’ll be things I liked too we just need to get this out of the way):

They tried to swamp in SO MANY side plots that I kinda lost the fact that this was Penelope and Colin’s love story?

Benedict and that random woman? I mean okay she’s cool but I guess it was unnecessary. Like it didn’t add anything to the plot, it would’ve been more interesting to see more about his artistic career but no, we have to see that he’s a rake (like every single Bridgerton man lol)

Colin’s Littlefinger moment? (You know what I’m talking about corporate can’t find the difference between them, they’re the same picture) wtf

WAY too few moments with my baddies Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte

I just didn’t feel the chemistry between Pen and Colin, sue me.

I also like Cressida’s redemption arc. She was an awful person but everyone deserves second chances and I think her friendship with Eloise is truly helping her become a better person. It was nice to see her side too, her conflicts about life as a woman and her issues with her parents. She’s still not an overly “positive” or “supporting” character, but I believe she’s on the way. I’d jump out of my window in happiness if something more than friendship happened with her and El🤭

All in all, part 1 so far was disappointing in my opinion. I am eagerly awaiting part 2, hoping it’ll make up for it and not let me down. I hope the Lady Whistledown reveal won’t be downplayed and Colin won’t be like “oh you’re Lady W? Whatever no worries idc” (although idk how it happens in the book)
