𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 | Jason Todd x reader

Jason always called after missions, it was something common for you. You were arranging the clothes for your baby who was sleeping in the middle of the bed.Your phone rang, smiling you saw Jason's name, you quickly answered it.

"Love"

Jason's lips spread into a soft smile when he heard your voice on the other end of the line, he was so happy that you answered, sometimes you took a while to answer because you were busy taking care of the baby, always doing something that prevented you from responding quickly.

"Are you okay, love? Getting some sleep?"

Ever since the baby was born, sleeping was something you couldn't do very often, not because the baby cried, but because of the fear that something would happen while you slept.

"It's okay, I miss you… We missed you, say hi to baby daddy"Jason can hear the baby's whimpers.

"Sleeping is still a problem, but we'll figure it out… Are you okay, love?"

Jason almost laughs, he's on the floor with bullet holes all over his body, he doesn't know how he can talk to you without looking like he's dying.

He was watching the stars while talking on his cell phone, he is happy that you answered, he was hoping to have one last call with you. Because he's not coming home.

"Baby, I love you, stay safe, okay?"Jason tries to hide his tears, the thought that he won't see you or your baby grow up hurts more than the bullets in his body.

"I love you too, stay safe and come back to us"

Jason smiles.

"Bruce is waiting for you at the mansion, stay there for a while please, I need to hang up baby, I love you."

Jason hung up.

—I am really sorry honey.

The last breath came out.
