Kara having no idea how to process Martha and Jonathon Kentâs enthusiastic, generous Good Parenting because itâs the first time sheâs ever experienced anything remotely like it before was so PRECIOUS. They donât just love her, they want to take care of her! They want to make her as happy as possible! For the sake of it! For her sake! No expectations, no transactions, no restrictions. Itâs exactly what she needs. And you can see her realizing what Clark meant when he said that they were great people and parents. I need more of them interacting. She has twenty-two years of joy, comfort and safety to catch up on.
Also, remember how Martha added the shorts to Clarkâs costume? Well, neither Kryptonian fashion nor Karaâs civilian outfit include skirts. What if Kara experiments with Earth clothes and decides that she actually likes wearing a skirt, and Martha sews the iconic red skirt onto her costume?

Overwhelming Burden - Supergirl x Male Reader
Note: Fluff 𼰠and Angst đĽş
I've just read the Zero Hour 30th Anniversary comic #1 not long ago and... Honestly, it's such a good comic, biggest highlight for me is seeing Supergirl wearing a black suit with the silver S on the suit and cape, the silver belt, bracelets and black gloves (In the comic, there's instances where she's wearing black gloves or not which is a little weird but in this imagine, she'll be wearing black gloves, another image will be shown in the imagine later of her wearing black gloves) are a nice addition as well... And pants! Best suit I've seen in a while.
This is a world where Superman is dead, dead after his fight with Doomsday and where Batman never came back because he's broken, so pretty much retired and Batgirl is Gotham's Knight now while Supergirl is Metropolis's protector. Diana Prince is no where to be found so Donna Troy is the new Wonder Woman also. They what would be the New Trinity in those words.
Supergirl in this comic however is supposed to be Matrix aka Mae Kent, but DC for some reason wanted Kara Zor-El/ the original Supergirl to be mentioned in this rather than Matrix Supergirl which is a little odd but I'm not complaining. Spoiler for those but Donna named dropped Supergirl as "Kara" in the comic, so... I suppose it's Kara Zor-El, again it's a little odd, ain't complaining, I honestly don't mind.
So in other words... This imagine is inspired from this. Hope you enjoy!
Credit also goes to @bisupergirl for the pics!
Metropolis, once a city that was defended by a man who revolutionized the way Aliens were welcomed on Earth, a man that changed the world with more superheroes making their debut, along with the added threat of supervillains and those that had an agenda against him. He was a man who only found out he was in fact an Alien once he found out where he really came from.
His parents, Ma and Pa Kent, aka Martha and Jonathan, once told him he came from the stars one day, crashing down onto Earth in a small pod not far from where they lived in their farmhouse, and finding a newborn wrapped in a red cloth that would be used as his cape when he grew older to become...
Superman.
He inspired many, became Earth's Champion, defended Earth and Humanity from many threats, though he couldn't always do it alone, he eventually had allies that formed the Justice League that vowed to protect Earth from any known threat known to Humankind.
Clark Kent of the Daily Planet and from a little town called Smallville, Kal-El of Krypton, Superman, the Man of Steel, Man of Tomorrow, once an icon, a hero, a loving Husband and son to all that loved him.
He was once the fabled "Last Son of Krypton" until one day, that changed... When another pod came crashing down onto Earth, holding a young blonde haired girl, who was petrified, confused, unaware of how long it has been after being in hypersleep for many years, sent from her planet of Krypton alongside her cousin, before her pod was knocked off-course.
Kal didn't know at the time, but the arrival of this girl changed his life forever and for the better, this girl was his cousin, Kara Zor-El, who would later become Supergirl and wear the same colors and family crest, one that Clark learned more about from Kara, all about the House of El, their family, his and her parents... Some he already knew from the Fortress of Solitude that was created by the Kryptonian crystal that he put into the ice in the North Pole.
Things were going very well with Kara's introduction to Earth, adopted by the loving Danvers family, she took the name "Linda Lee Danvers" to blend in and hide her powers, though at times she wasn't great at controlling them, she was taught how to.
From going to Earth school, to meeting the one guy that she befriended, the boy named Y/N, which the two eventually began to fall for one another during high school, becoming somewhat high school sweethearts. Clark supported the fact Kara found someone she liked, someone to keep her on her toes when unexpected, she eventually introduced Clark to Y/N, letting him know of the other secret they hadn't told him yet. Their Kryptonian heritage which was a big surprise to the young boy at the time, she even took him on a flight to convince him further.
Around this time, Kara being 16 years old, she debuted as Supergirl, cousin of Superman. Embracing the whole Girl of Steel part of herself to defend her new home from enemies alike. Sporting a blue top with a red skirt and gold V-shaped belt, a short red cape with a golden S on the back as opposed to wearing the same S on her top with a red background just like her cousin, showcasing the House of El sigil proudly.
At first, the world wasn't sure how to accept Supergirl, but eventually not long after, they did with Superman's help. Kara was more happier than to be both Linda Lee Danvers and Supergirl.
But... Not everything is forever...
With some years going by and now with Kara have been Supergirl for three and a half years...
A Doomsday descended upon Earth... Many heroes answered the threat and couldn't stop it without cutting losses.
It was Superman who saved the day... But at a heavy cost...
His own life, succumbing to his wounds and the world fell silent once the news broke out.
Earth's Champion... Superman... Had been confirmed dead, giving out his life to fight Doomsday, the fight was nothing more than brutal and destructive, Metropolis was wrecked and battered by the events.
His death hit many heavily, Kara especially. There was supposed to be a surprise for Kara, before Doomsday came to be, but Y/N called the surprise off, in exchange to grieve, knowing it wouldn't be the right time to propose to the girl he has always loved.
In honor to grieve her cousin's death, Kara made the decision to change up her suit and colors, now sporting a black top, long cape and pants, with a silver V-shaped belt, bracelets and the S and shield, colored silver, even on the back of her new black cape had the S colored in silver, also supporting black gloves over her hands. The bracelets both have a diamond shaped sigil on the front, even the belt too, unlike her previous suit.
No longer blue, red and gold. Just a black and silver look, the world took notice of this change, seeing a black and blonde blur zoom past on multiple occasions throughout the world, it didn't take long for people to know it was Supergirl, now having a wardrobe change since the last time she appeared on camera months ago.
Some asked why? The obvious answer was simple... Coming from her.
"To honor my cousin" she said nothing more after. She refused to take anymore questions about anything else, it was nothing but a bother to her.
She became Metropolis's new protector, Earth's New Champion and part of the new Justice League that was put into place, post Doomsday and Superman's Death within a year later.
Kara was well known to he amongst the newer Wonder Woman and the Batgirl that has taken over Batman's duties after he mysteriously "vanished" when more forces played behind the scenes in that regard.
Meanwhile, still being Supergirl, her lover, Y/N, now loving Husband, having gotten married a few months ago, remained behind as the ever-loving House Husband, in their now shared apartment building, every day and night when Kara came back from her duties as Supergirl, he'd be the one greeting her when she came back.
But as of recently... Kara's been barely getting home than usual, skipping lunch dates, dinners, her usual work before she quit and the two had a fairshare of arguments then and there about the issue, as mostly every married couple eventually argues over something.
This morning was no different, it was the same as usual, Y/N always said that her being Supergirl didn't had to always be a thing, he wanted her to be Linda Danvers for a day or two, but she kept refusing the idea, Supergirl was needed day and night, it was her duty, her vow to fill in Kal's shoes.
Y/N made the argument that Superman wasn't always needed and this only infuriated Kara further, where their argument turned a little more heated. Y/N hated arguing with her about this, this was the first ever heated argument with her and he felt bad bringing it up. Kara was still hurting about Kal's death. There was one thing he did say that was true...
He felt neglected by her now, he hadn't been hugged by her in the last few weeks... Or even kissed by that matter and he missed having her lips on his
Kara was nothing but frustrated and moody mostly in the last few months, the last time he ever saw her smile much was during their wedding day and the entire week. It was like something switched off in her that caused her to be like this.
Could it be that something has happened? Something so bad, it's keeping her awake at night and not as the forgiving girl she was before?
She wasn't a Girl-Scout, but there was times she was, and it rarely shows today.
Y/N spent all day to himself once more, still thinking back on the argument he had with Kara this morning before she left, getting groceries, doing the laundry, keeping an eye on their cat, Streaky, before he eventually began to relax for the day. Not having to do any online work since Kara quit her Human job.
He sat on the couch, his Playstation controller in hand, playing a story-driven game before he paused it to go grab a drink.
His mind was still on the argument they had this morning, his eyes caught onto the plate of food, covered by tin-foil, dinner that was made for Kara for when she would come back at the usual time but again... She hadn't come back yet.
Y/N knew not to worry much, but it became increasingly hard for him, he loved her so much, despite the arguments they've had since getting married.
But he was worried, he was worried that she was beating herself up over everything that's happened, and it showed in her face, her body language.
The pair haven't kissed or hugged in the last two weeks and he missed being held, being kissed, being flown by her, he misses the old Kara, the old Supergirl...
The old Linda Danvers he fell in love with...
Just as he poured some fresh OJ, Y/N heard a pair of boots land on the wooden flooring by the window. He briefly looked to see Supergirl, his wife, who had seemed to look like she had been tossed around and thrown into the surface of the sun yet again, nothing more than usual.
His heart swelled to see her, but it hurt knowing she was probably still mad at him. He knew he wasn't wrong, but he just wanted to patch things up, like a normal married couple would.
"You're back" he stated the obvious with a lowered tone, but a tone she could pick up with her super hearing. "I... I was beginning to worry, but... I'm glad you're okay" he gave a little smile at the corner of his lips but it soon vanished after taking a sip of his drink.
Supergirl hadn't said anything back to him, she only looked at the TV to see what he had been doing in her absence, before noticing Streaky as she shakes her long, black cape, wiping off dust particles.
'Ugh, gonna have to get that cleaned up'Â he mentally noted before taking another sip from his drink. "I made dinner again, it's cold now but I ca-" a whooshing sound interrupted him and he was met by Kara who had zoomed up close to him after looking him in the eyes, completely surprising him. He almost dropped his glass of fresh OJ once she zoomed up at him in a nano-second.
"K-Kara?".
There was nothing but pain and hurt in her eyes before grabbing the sides of her cape and lunged her arms around him, wrapping her cape around him also as her body began to quiver and tremble.
She dug her face into the crook of his neck and her breaths became shaky, Y/N could only stand there with a surprised look on his face as Kara... The Girl of Steel, his wife, Supergirl, had began to break down emotionally from what it sounded like.
Then he could hear her sobbing into him, little sobs of sadness washing over her as she clung onto him hardly but gently, not wanting to let go just like any other time he'd tried to hug her.
"Y/N" she mumbled with a shaky breath into his neck, her messy blonde hair tickling the side of his face. "I-I-I" she couldn't speak her words, sadness overwhelming her as tears flushed down from her closed eyes that began to soak the T-shirt's fabric on his shoulder, crying even harder by the minute.
Y/N wrapped his arms around her figure quickly, who was clinging onto him like she was holding on for dear life, he accepted the hug he longed to get from her, it broke his heart hearing her sob and cry, feeling his shoulder getting wetter by the minute from all the tears she was shedding. Her words coming out trembling and mumbling nonsense
"Oh, Kara" Y/N cooed to her, rocking a little left to right while feeling the warmth of Kara's long cape wrapped around him and her, her arms holding him into place while a hug carried out.
"I-I... I'm so s-s-sorry!" she cried harder into him, her sobbing getting more prominent as Y/N tightened his arms around her, even his breaths began to get shaky at this moment, he felt her words hitting him in the heart. "I-I".
"Sshhh, i-it's okay" he cooed to her softly.
"N-N-No! I-It's not o-okay!" she denied that fact, struggling with her words still, but Y/N understood what she meant.
Yes... It wasn't okay, he could clearly see and hear it, with a crying Supergirl in his arms, also embracing him with her cape wrapped around him to cling onto him as she cries and sobs, overwhelmed by drowning dread and grief.
He always had a feeling eventually Linda/Kara L/N would be overwhelmed with this, mostly overwhelmed with the burden of being Earth's Champion twenty-four-seven, since Superman's death, she's been nothing but mostly Supergirl the entire time, the only acception she wouldn't be her superhero self was at the wedding and the week following that with the honeymoon.
"Let it all out, it's okay, my Sunshine" he cooed further though he stumbled on his wordings, calling her by a nickname he had for her, one she hadn't heard in a while which made her sob harder. "Let it all out" he told her once again, letting the broken Girl of Steel cry on his shoulder, just like he once told her that if she needed a shoulder to cry on, she's got him.
He could remember the days when they were in high school, remember when they were fifteen years old, he'd stop by the Danvers's place to hang out with Linda and her two other friends that she made in class, he remembered getting to know them better since he had different classes from them, and only a few classes where he and Kara would be seated near each other, often not sitting next to one another.
The days where he first began to crush on Linda, he found her the most adorable and smartest girl in the world, to him? She was everything he wanted. He didn't have much friends, most were into edgy stuff, which didn't match his tastes.
But Linda? She was into anything, she was cool to him, smart, had a sense of humor, was fun to be around and was pretty defensive for him against his bullies, once publicly embarrassing one of them by flipping him over her shoulder, on the verge of breaking the bully's arm, potentially ruining his placement for the basketball game coming up that time.
Once everything had calmed down, along with Kara's sobbing, and apologies were made about all the arguments they've been having, the two pulled back from the hug and kissed, lips-to-lips for the first time in two weeks, a kiss both surely had been missing, a long kiss between them with their lips slowly smacking off each other in a slow dancing way.
His hands caressed her cheek with his thumbs swiping away at any stray tears that fell down from her eyes which they did once they began to kiss, Kara's cape still wrapped around him and herself, not even thinking of letting go any time soon.
"Y/N" Kara broke the silence after the long kiss they had, the kiss she could clearly see that Y/N had been dreading for, a kiss of closure in other words. "I... I thought about what you said this morning, and... You're right, I have been... Neglecting you as of recently" she painfully admitted, her voice croaking as she spoke.
"No, no. I was wrong to say that" Y/N backed down from what he said, taking back the hurtful thing he said this morning. "I shouldn't have said that in the first-".
"No" she interrupted. "It's the truth. All I've thought since..." a pain arose in her chest as she felt it flare up from what she was about to say, struggling to speak a little.
"I don't think you need to say" he told her, knowing what she was going to say, as it was clear as day...
She took the burden of being the next Symbol of Hope, the carry on the shoes and burden that Superman alone carried with him through his actions and heroism, Supergirl was a role model to most, if not, all people as expressed through her actions and words alone. She didn't want to be like her cousin, she wanted to be her own person.
She once admitted to him the fact she was scared she'd end up losing herself because of the fact that there could be one day he might die and she'd have to pick up where he left off being Earth's Champion, but Clark gave her sound advice. Like him...
She had family and friends to help her carry the burden if she struggled, to carry on without him if he were to die, which happened.
"I visit that statue every day" she sniffled, looking into Y/N's eyes still. "Wishing he'd be here today still, wondering what it would be like to have him around again" she closed her eyes and sighed with a sadness that could be seen in her face. "I miss him... So, so much" she croaked.
"I know, I miss him too" he laid a finger under her chin and raised her head so he could look into her eyes, tears forming her eyes once more before one fell down onto Y/N's thumb. "But you're not alone, Kara. Being Supergirl twenty-four-seven hasn't done you good, you look stressed and tired, which is concerning considering Kryptonians don't get tired from what you've shown" he made a valid point across to her, but she seemed to have heard it before.
"You sound like Babs".
"Do I know?" he chuckled. "Well... If I was Barbara, I think she'd also be correct".
This prompted to make the Girl of Steel smile just a little, which was enough for him to point out with a little smile back at her.
"There she is, there's the smile".
"Don't ruin it" she groaned.
"I'd never" he smiled, giving out a little laugh that was a little contagious for Kara, a soft laugh escaped her before it died down, with her sighing next.
Y/N pushed a strand of Kara's hair behind her ear, seeing the other half of her face that was hidden by her golden hair. "I think... You should take off the suit and Supergirl" with his eyes he traced out the House of El glyph on Kara's chest. "...could use a good break for a little bit, you can have someone else fill in for you, clear your mind a little with me" Y/N suggested to her, though he knew she wouldn't like it, now that things had been settled between them, he wouldn't lose his chances.
And Kara knew it...
"I can heat up your dinner, or you can probably use your heat vision since it's quicker than the oven" he snorted, getting a faint laugh out from Kara while she smiled, his face brightened up again noticing it. "And we can also... Cuddle on the couch, put on a movie of your choice, not my pick because you know I'm picky" he suggested further.
"Or..." Kara unwrapped her arms off him for a moment before wrapping them back around, only around the crook of his neck this time around with her cape billowing slightly behind her due to the window being open still on a cool windy night. "I can take you on a flight?".
"Ohh" Y/N caught himself between two hard choices. "Hmm... Maybe tomorrow you can take me on a flight, how about that, Sunshine?" he answered.
"Deal" she nodded before smiling a little more, finally answering after a minute. Deep down he was right from earlier when she thought about it, her being Supergirl twenty-four-seven has done her no good, it put some strain on the relationships she's got with her loved ones, her adopted family especially and Y/N, who love her all the same, she had a prior visit to them before coming back, wanting to reconcile which was as emotional as it was already.
"It's your favorite, by the way, from your adopted mother's recipe" he smiled as Kara x-rayed the plate with the tin-foil over it, spotting a Lasagna and coming from him, it was Edna Danvers recipe of her Lasagna.
"I thought I smelled something familiar" she noted while looking at the plate.
"Go on" he gestured his head toward the plate.
"You want some? There's plenty left for us to share" she offered, unwrapping her arms off him and began to walk up to the plate.
"Nah, I'm good" he declined politely.
"You sure? In case you end up eying it up anyway" she smirked, taking off the tin-foil gently though unnecessary to do it gently.
"I had like... Maybe two plates earlier, cooked a bit too much, I'm full still" he gestured. I'll wait on the couch for you, gonna turn this game off and that".
"Okay, Love" she nodded and smiled before she looked at the food, her eyes soon lit up red before she quickly heated up the food with her heat vision, heating it up to the right temperature, just for her.
Taking the plate, she saw her Husband save his progress and switch off the game, she had a little fond memory of him kicking her ass at a fighting game when they were younger, back when things were simpler when Clark was still alive.
"Y/N" Kara broke the silence yet again.
"Yes, my Sunshine?" he answered.
"I love you, I really love you, you dork. Always remember that" she smiled once again, stabbing her Lasagna with a fork that was left on the table next to the plate earlier before taking it to her mouth to savor the taste of the food.
"I love you too, Linda L/N" he smiled back at her, her face noticeably brightened as she strolled over with her plate of food in hand...Â

Thoughts on My Adventures with Superman S2 episode 8
This is Looking to be a Scary one folks, Idk about you but I'm kinda afraid of what's going to happen because judging from the title "The Death of Clark kent" it looks like we're going to be Definitely seeing either an Evil Superman or Clark losing what makes him who he is, His humanity
Ok So from this line "Your death, will be the rebirth of krypton" It looks like we're definitely going to be seeing the death of what makes him Clark Kent, his humanity, yeah Definitely an Evil Superman is happening; Also can we Not talk about this line "Now Let's find your weaknesses, So I can kill you" Yeah this Show is officially awesome, that fact that they literally had the guts to put that line in a quote unquote "Kids show" is completely mind blowing, Kinda reminds me of how when we used to have TV shows like that back in day, back of when they weren't afraid to show or Say stuff like that because they Knew we could handle it, gives me hope that we maybe could see more stuff like that in the Future
Omg they're so Cute together UwU!! I love how Mallah and Brain Give Jimmy the room and then we just have lois being Salty as she literally Ruins the moment with her Angry ass, like read the room Lois Now's not the time; Also can we talk about how cute the relationship is between Kara and Jimmy, the fact that Jimmy seriously claimed to be the 1 to steal the ship just to See Kara is so sweet and I love he always excuses her for her actions, like despite everything that happened on Earth between her Attacking and kidnapping Superman, he still chooses to defend her and gives her the benefit of the doubt, like it shows how much he seriously whole heartily belives in her, and Still has hope for her, Seeing her not as an invader but Rather the girl he Spent the day and had Ice cream with, it just shows how much he loves her and only really wanted to see her again, like the mission IS about Saving Clark, but it's also about Seeing Kara again; Also the fact that Kara Still refuses to Still see the truth about how Evil Brainiac is and tries to defend it as he's"Malfunctioning" just shows how naive she really is, and doesn't want to accept the fact that Brainiac is even capable of this, it really shows much he has really manipulated her, I feel so bad đĽş
I'm Loving the callbacks to last season with him reliving his memories and seeing all the battles he's fought, Showing us how much he's went through from last season, Also I love how how his "last minute strength" comes from him protecting his loves one's AKA lois and Jimmy because he doesn't want anything to happen to them, also the fact that we're literally getting an episode like this kinda reminds of that 1 spectacular spider man episode where peter was trying to fight the symbiote while being shown his memories, did anyone else get that feeling? No? Just me
Aaaaahhh!! My heart I can't take it Anymore, Please Just kiss each other you 2 already, Omg Please let them be together by the end of this season PLEASE!! đđđŤ (also it must be so handy to have super speed, especially when you Need to run away in embarrassment ^^)
Wow this is Sad, the fact that she's literally had this conversation before and doesn't even remember show's how much Brainiac has wiped her memory, like this isn't even maybe the 1st time she's rebelled against him, Showing that she was never even like this to begin with, and that she never even agreed with what he was doing, it's an amazing way to show how Evil Brainiac is, and that he never really cared about Kara in the 1st place but just saw her as a weapon he can use in the end , Gotta say I Really HATE this guy, Definitely not dad of the year material if I say so myself
Awwaaaah!! >_< I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH, This shows that No matter what Universe or iteration they're in, lois and clark will always be together and will forever be 1 of the best iconic couples in comic book history, Also yeah! Eff you Brainiac for trying to manipulate our boys memories
Damn this man really knows how to manipulate someone the fact that he really knows what will make Clark Break, while also manipulating his memories shows how good of a villian he is and I really love how he just lurks over his shoulder as he's doing this, the dude is a Master manipulator
Nah did they seriously just hit us the Uno reverse card, making us think that he actually broke free and made it back to earth, like I Knew something was up the minute he defeated him too easily and made it back that fast, with No kara in sight mind you, like they really thought they had us for a second ^^; Also is it me or is this really unsettling for some reason, like Idk what it is but something about this scene just really feels creepy, like I feel like in the Next episode they're going to be talking and acting "robotic" if ya know what I mean, part of this episode is also giving a familiar vibe I had when watching an episode of Justice league where Superman was trapped in his own mind as well by a mysterious Squid like Creature that would just show him a false reality where he would have a life a krypton if it didn't blow up, wait a minute, that episode had Something called the Black Mercy too....OMG THEY'RE LITERALLY DOING THAT
Well looks like I was right about the Evil Superman sadly, it's a good thing we still got that Kryptonite right đĽđĽ
Alright 2 things, Nah he's disrespectful for hitting moves like that, Effing parying and weaving like if this is Child's play is Crazy, Also did I just see YELLOW lightning come from Kara's body đ, that's so cool, so While Clark has Blue lighting she has Yellow lightning Omg that's such an awesome detail to include, can't wait to see how it looks with her Supergirl suit
Dude Brainiac is such a Gaslighter, like I don't believe a Damn he says, that shit about him hesitating and how he "loves" kara is a damn lie, like you literally brainwashed her countless times, made her do things She never wanted to do, and treated her like a weapon, You don't get to call her your daughter after what you did, you're a monster and you always will be; Like this legit textbook gaslighting 101, Step 1: Make you look like the Bad guy; Also there's This: " I love you my daughter" *proceeds to Slam her head in the pavement* đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
Wait you mean to tell me that the Kryptonite doesn't work on him!? That Because he's a machine he can just transfer his consciousness into Someone or something else!? BRUH THAT'S CHEEATING!! Also the fact that Jimmy was ready to slide for his girl with Him being the 1 to pull out the Kryptonite is insane, considering he was the 1 against that shit, anyone who says Jimmy Olsen is annoying or the worst character is Effing stupid because WHAAAAT! you better stop playing with my Boy
No modifications she says, We don't need them She says, bruh Lois must be Eating her words right now, without Those modifications her and Jimmy would be dead, if I were mallah and brain I'd ask for an effing apology, also where did Brainiac go, like part of me wants to believe Earth, judging from how he originally wanted to go with Kara and how he literally said last episode of how he wanted to use kal el to help him conquer earth and other planets for the empire, but part of me actually seems suggest that he maybe went somewhere else, considering last season we ended with a failed invasion attempt on Earth, so it would be kinda repetitive if we did the same thing again
Looks like we're going to be seeing another memory episode Next week, and judging from how this episode ended it looks Lois is going to be 1 to bring our boy back, reminding him of who he is and probably bringing back his humanity, considering we saw him as kal at the end rather than Clark, also omg but the imagery for this show is so Creepy, like they don't hold back with these designs at all, like between the Kryptonite and now this, this is starting to become more and more graphic and Dark, and I'm all here for it ^^
Tbh, Not a fan of this design at all, like I Adore the color scheme but as far as everything else, it just looks bad, like why does he have to have his chest and Toes out like only a Psychopath would wear their shit like that, and don't even get me started on that haircut, like this is a super computer and the best you could come up with, WAS THIS!? you're really telling me you thought having your toes out, chest showing, and haircut like that was IN, No Buddy I'm sorry Try again, also WHY ARE YOUR TOES OUT IN THE 1ST PLACE!? 1st mark grayson now this, like is having your toes out the new way of showing how Evil you are? Anyway can't wait for the next episode, hopefully we can get our boy back and Kara and Jimmy can end up together. hopefully (plz god don't let anything bad happen to them Pleeease!!)

Who are the superfamily in your headcanons? I know Jon & probably Superman himself.
Got any headcanons about little Johnny himself?
Ooooo
So we got the iconic Ma and Pa Kent, who I like to think met when Martha was running from cops during a protest, jumped into Jonathanâs truck, and told him to fucking drive. Ainât no one taking that from me
We got Ms. Kara Zoe-el with her wife Lena Luthor.
Clark and Lois still madly in love, Ms. Lois roasting her husband every chance they get. They are known by their grandchildren as âMama Loisâ and âPapa Clarkâ
Their oldest is their foster son Christopher Kent and his lovely wife Thara. They end up with six kids in totalâ Sebastian and Atticus (half-brainiac twin boys), Beau (their biological son), River (adopted shapeshifting meta, gender fluid), Everett (second bio son) and Carter (their surprise baby girl, again theirs biologically)
The middle son is Mr. Kon Kent, who marries Tim Drake. Together they have their beautiful baby girl, Grace.
Then the baby is Jonny Kent himself, with his beautiful bride Marâi. They adopt three meta children (Charlie, Peter, Mary Margaret/ M&M) and have one biological daughter (Laney)
As for headcannons
I stand by Jon refusing to wear pants. Diaper no issue. But pants? He refused
Loved seeing the âAminalsâ on the farm
Gained his brothers when he was like 8 and accepted them as the older ones without a second thought

This might be a bit out of your wheelhouse, but you've spoken glowingly about Kenan before, and I wanted to hear some of your thoughts.
What do you think it would take for DC to give Kenan the spotlight again, either in the form of his own comic or a feature role in an animated series? And how much do you think the sociopolitical optics of China impact his editorial interest/popularity or lack thereof? If Kenan was, for instance, Korean instead (an East Asian country that is generally viewed more favorably by the American public than the Chinese), do you imagine he would have gained more traction and gotten more coverage considering his powerset is not generic Kryptonian? Or do you think the fact that as long as he's a 'foreign' character, he's forever doomed to take a backseat to Clark, Kara, Conner, and Jon who are built in the All-American mold?
Also, as an addendum, do you wish his appearances in more mainstream title (Action Comics, etc) would feature more of his mystical and yin & yang elements of his design? What kind of potential do you think those powers give him compared to the typical Kryptonian flying brick?
Actually have spent some time thinking about this! Short version: Yang was too good at his job.
Kenan is steeped in both Chinese mythology and modern Chinese culture. If you're not someone who has spent a lot time studying the present and past of China like Yang has, it's going to be tough to use Kenan to his full potential. Sure there's other appealing traits Kenan has that make him stand out, PKJ mentioned in an interview that one thing about Kenan which interested him is that unlike the rest of the Superfamily, Kenan starts off as an asshole. He doesn't intrinsically lean towards good, it's something he has to struggle with, and that appealed to PKJ because it was a trait he could hone in on and keep in mind when writing Superfamily interactions. For a team book that's enough to make Kenan stand out, but for a solo book? You need more than that.
Think of how Kenan struggles to be a hero because of how he's torn between his father's democratic ideals and his mother's loyalty to the CCP. He doesn't have an inbuilt love for democracy, what does democracy mean to a young Chinese man who is more concerned with money, women, or food? Asking those kinds of questions about protagonists who aren't from America leads to interesting stories. Or look at how Yang explored the concepts of Yin and Yang in New Super-Man, how he avoided going for simplifying them as good/bad. That's the kind of mistake that someone not knowledgeable about Chinese culture might have made.
Most Big 2 superheroes tend to be American because that's what most of the writers working for DC and Marvel are. If Kenan were Korean instead, I don't think he would have gotten more use, it's that he's not American that intimidates some writers. And there's also the problem of Kenan being a late addition to a franchise that DC typically has no clue what to do with. When you don't even know what to do with your lead character Clark, who is one of the top 3 most iconic superheroes of all time, and you can't seem to stop screwing up other long-time Family members like Kara or Kon, no surprise that DC didn't know how to handle the latest addition.
Plus they already decided that Jon was going to be their guy for 5G, so why waste time pushing Kenan? He wasn't getting a movie or a cartoon or an HBO MAX show. Plenty of other attempts at adding new Superfamily members had disappeared, some like Linda Danvers had much longer runs on solo titles. What's Kenan's measly 24 issues to Linda's 80? I'm glad he was spared that fate because damnit, he's a much more interesting character than Linda or Cir-El or Chris Kent or any of those other guys were. He should be getting adapted outside of comics. In the wake of Jon being completely wrecked, and Kon still a question mark, Kenan is the best "heir" to Superman.
For now I'm just happy to have Kenan in Action, cemented as part of the Superfamily. Would I like him to get more focus, to see greater exploration on how his powers differ from the Kents/Els? Absolutely. If Yang was up for it, I would love a backup from him that explores Kenan's power and relationships. PKJ is taking influence from manga for Clark's fight scenes, would be great to see some of that same influence applied to Kenan too. All kinds of cool ways that Kenan's qi manipulation powerset could be showcased, I mean c'mon the Dragon Ball route is patently obvious. Kenan as the Goku of the Superfamily is a low-hanging fruit but what the hell, I think it could be fun!

Best of 2023 Movies #11: The Flash
On the other side we have another multiverse romp, here care of what should have been a reset of the DCEU only here like itâs metaphorical spaghetti has substance but was a hot mess.
Barry Allen has his fills as a member of the justice league, while utilizing his position as a forensic investigator to clear his dad of the murder of his mom that he was wrongly convicted of.
When he ends up tapping into the speed force, he decides to utilize the ability to change the fates of his family against the warnings of Bruce.
Here he alters the fabric of reality sending him to an alternate reality where he does not gain the powers heâs known for and wipes out the justice league from existence.
As Zod arrives on the planet looking for the kryptonian seed from Man of Steel he teams up with the new realities heroes.
One is the cousin of Clark Kent.
The other is an iconic hero while long past his prime, still knows when to show up.
Ezra Miller may have had themselves a long and troubled journey since becoming the Flash but here it is shown to be deceptively good by playing both standard, and rookie versions of Barry.
While Michael Keaton reclaims his iconic cape and cowl, Sasha Calle is the real revelation as she holds her own as Kara Zor-El.
Though itâs not the flashpoint we were fathoming 6 years earlier, this nod to what came before and what almost was with both DC and the WB centenary holds well for what it is.
As Keaton so aptly puts it. it may be a hot mess, but there is substance here.
SUM 22: The DCEU hits the partial reset button as Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton gives us an enjoyable ode to the multiverse mucking.

Series Review: My Adventures With Superman Season 2, a weak but promising premiere
86 years have passed since one of the greatest superheroes in modern history first appeared in Action Comics #1, and he's still making history. This character has had many changes over just over 8 decades, he already died once, was revived, married his eternal love, Lois Lane, had children, and has fought and defended our planet with a limited gallery of villains, the Merchandising is vast and its collectibles are still valid to this day, costing millions of dollars. Recently the CEO of Warner Bros. James Gunn presented what will be the modified and modernized emblem as well as a photo that has caused a stir on social networks, after the changes made in the studio and the cancellation of films and series it seems that it is Superman's turn to save them from bankruptcy in this coming 2025. Among the changes that occurred, the CW television series belonging to the Arrowverse was definitively canceled with the premiere of its final season pending, something that has caught the attention of locals and strangers was the renewal for a second and possible third season of the series. animated My Adventures with Superman. Although the first season left us surprised by its new animation and its stories, this second installment promises to be better than the first. It will introduce new characters that curiously and coincidentally have also been said to be in the film directed by Gunn. It is not surprising that projects like this continue to be in force to attract a new audience and keep interested the veterans who still have a taste for this hero and his stories.
What will this second season be about?
Continuing with the events that happened in the first season, Superman/Clark Kent (Jack Quaid), Losi Lane (Alice Lee), and Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid) will continue to be in the news while the Kryptonian saves the city from forces that want to destroy us, these three Inseparable friends will face new threats from which powerful enemies from Clark's alien past will emerge. Amanda Waller (Debra Wilson) will have a new ally to combat and capture Superman, Lois will deal with the future and Jimmy Olsen will be the leader of a new grouping in the Daily Planet. This series was created and developed by Jake Wyatt, Brendan Clougher, and Josie Campbell and produced by Warner Bros. Animation in association with Studio Mir in South Korea shows us a completely new and renewed vision of the iconic superhero along with this presents a more current version, fresh and friendly of the relationship he has with Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, a new suit, a new emblem, the same origin that we all know but now from another perspective and already known villains with another visual style. Regarding the first season, we can say that it left the series with a very high bar for a possible renewal, which after the changes in the studios seemed like it was not going to happen at least in 2024 and the surprise has been that this project has already is premiering, the episodes that are already airing are: Episode 1: More Things in Heaven and Earth: Valentine's Day has arrived and Clark plans a perfect date with Lois, while this is happening they meet with Jimmy at the STAR Labs facilities to interview Hank Henshaw (Max Mittelman). While they are there a young Alex and assistant to Anthony Ivo (Jake Green) is fired without any justification, Lois and Clark discover that there is a strange meteorite heading towards Earth which takes them to the Arctic to investigate, there Clark in his ship meets the hologram of his biological father Jor-El that reveals to him more about his origin and that he is not the last survivor of the planet Krypton, there is someone else who he has to search and find before the government does, and it is his cousin Kara Zor-El who was also able to leave the planet before his destruction, Lois and Jimmy discover that Kryptonite is affecting the ship while Waller, Wilson, and Agent Ethan Avery lead a Task Force X detachment to control the alien technology, Superman fights Avery until Jor-El uses the power of the spaceship to purify the Kryptonite and turn it into a fortress to serve as a refuge for Kal-El when he finds Kara, Waller holds Sam prisoner after accusing him of treason.
This opening episode establishes more specifically the relationship between Clark and Lois, which is nothing new because we already know in advance how all this will end, Superman is the official hero and protector of Metropolis and tries to develop a new subplot with Jimmy Olsen who is now a millionaire, setting new rules for the rest of the season. Episode 2: Adventures with My Girlfriend: The Task Force and Lois help a boy find his father who mysteriously disappeared after uncovering a conspiracy, Superman and Lois enter the prison to rescue Sam and stumble upon Task Force X's new base and discover that Waller has been kidnapping prisoners. they could not pay bail to use them as test subjects to test new technology, while they evacuate the prisoner Superman fights against Atomic Skull, after defeating him he recovers the key that Jor-El asked him to find and reunites with the Lanes and the prisoners who are rescued by Jimmy, Sam agrees to stay with Clark while Alex, who now defines himself as Lex Luthor, rescues Waller from Ivo's attack and offers to form a partnership. What we see here focuses more on reestablishing Lois's father/daughter relationship with Sam which causes there to be meaningless emotional conflicts that are put in the service of a weak script to have some drama.
Episode 3: Fullmetal Scientist: Superman rescues Silas Stone from a burning building and discovers that he has a new power, a force field, Willis threatens Silas to erase all records of a project he was working on, a group of robots called Metallo that for their structure represent a danger to the city, Lois and Vicky Vale fight to have the exclusive of the presentation of these robots and discover the mystery of the disappearance of several scientists, this pair of reporters continue competing to have the best note, Superman, Jimmy and Flip locate Irons who reveals that they were forced to accelerate the production of the Metallos and create an unstable reactor that powers the AmerTek facilities in Metropolis, Superman and Irons who now uses a mechanical suit and a sledgehammer, after stopping the catastrophe. Vale recognizes that Lois is a good reporter and offers her a job at Gotham Gazette, Luthor's new company, LexCorp, purchases AmerTek and confiscates Irons' suit and the Metallo Robots for use by the Task Force X team.
Being the most interesting of what has been presented, the screenwriter Cynthia Furey gives a twist to the plot by presenting something new from an old character, John Henry Irons makes his debut and presents a reinvention of the character Steel who apparently will be the one who helps Superman in the following episodes. This season had a weak and very unimpressive premiere, the first season prioritized smaller character arcs over a large plot establishing Clark's relationship with Lois and the discovery of his superpowers while he was at the center of the action, now that We know this, the action should be more direct and less of a romantic comedy, to be clear, these 3 episodes are not that bad but they are far from having more action, which was just what we expected and what in itself it promised. We well know that this series gives a new vision of these characters, its narrative is not told or focused entirely from a first-person point of view, it is rather the story of Superman seen and told by Lois and involving everyone else who pretends to be a great reporter. With only 3 episodes presented, we still do not have a clear idea of ââhow these stories are going to develop and what role the new characters will have in them. The inclusion of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in this universe can work for or against everything will depend. how they present it and what story and subplot will develop from this. We know that among the characters that will appear during the remaining 7 chapters will be Silver Banshee, Mist, Heat Wave, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, General Zod, Metallo, and the already-known Livewire, Parasite, and Mister Mxyzptlk. It is neither a coincidence nor a coincidence that this series survives the changes with the premiere of Gunn's film pending we will see many similarities between the story that goes to the cinema and this one that remains in streaming to keep Superman current for the remainder of this year and during 2025. The voice cast in this season is made up of Jack Quaid, Alice Lee, Ishmel Sahid, Darrell, Kari Wahlgren, Reid Scott, Byron Marc Newsome, Jason Marnocha, Zehra Fazal, Azuri Hardy-Jones, Chris Parnell, Debra Wilson, Joel de la Fuente, Catherine Taber, Lucas Grabeel, Vincent Tong, Jake Green, Max Mittelman, Laila Berzins, Melanie Minichino, Kenna Ramsey, AndrĂŠ Sogliuzzo, David Errigo Jr, Andromeda Dunker and Michael Emerson. As for the animation, there is not much to say, it follows the simple and simple lines but at the same time they are attractive and make a great combination with the colorful backgrounds of Metropolis, the design and the reinvention of the new characters continue to be surprising and gives a friendly and fresh twist on what we already know. Once again we hear the entrance theme song composed by Kyle Troop and The Heretics and the music composed by Dominic Lewis and Daniel Futcher that does not offer anything new, the same chords and pieces that are recycled from the previous season and that are only there to help what is necessary. In conclusion, My Adventures With Superman Season 2 offers a weak and slow work that seems spectacular and that we hope will improve if it wants to remain current with its new and modern story. My Adventures With Superman with its first and second seasons is now available on the Max platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8Ihhvbr2aA Read the full article

Op I know the stories are not quite the same but, when you mention Zod exiling Kal-el, it reminded me of the beginning of the lion king. So, we have an exiled boy arriving to an entirely new and more "relaxedâ environment, where social rules aren't as defined or strict.
A place where the boy´s previous role as an heir for an important social position is gone, forced to adapt into world where funny enough, both simba and kal-el are biologily builded to be the next apex depredator, while their home town is endangered by a soon to be dark haired tyrant.Â
I might be looking way too much into things but damn!Â
There are so many possibilities to mix the most iconic story beats of the lion king with the dc universe.
1.- âLong live the kingâ fratricide moment, starring Zod as Scar and Jor.el as Mufasa. Perhaps Jor-el's scientific advancements boosted him to be head of the state in response to the growing concerns of krypton´s limited resources. Leaving behind any of Zod's expansion proposals in favor to optimize krypton´s resources management. Further their relationship apart into near antagonist levels and ultimately, driving Zod to overthrow Jor-el by killing him.Â
2.- "Hakuna matata arc but with an added bromance and weird choices of foodâ no further explanation needed. Ma and pa Kent are just the hetero version of Timon and Pumba, showing perfectly delicious earth dishes normal to humans, but utterly disgusting at first sight to kryptonians. (tho once kal give them a chance, there is no way in hell he will ever live without apple pie)
Bonus: I´m not aware if kryptonians ate meat, but just imagine the irony of Barry inviting Kal a couple of burritos and he just ... .starts uncharacteristically crying, just like when a 5 year old kid learns that nuggets are made of dead chicken.Â
3.- Kara paralleling Nala but in an obligatory fraternal relationship with Clark. Incest isn´t allow in this blog. Maybe she joined Zod's planetary conquest not by choice, but for an obligatory military service. And then escaped to the furthest habitable planet with the intention of momentarily escaping war, recollecting allies and finding his little cousin.
4.- âsimba, remember who you areâ but with a projection of jor-el giving the epic speech ever.Â
Ultimately, while I had stretched this premise longer than I expected, I understand that a recolor/ reskin/ carbon copy of another story is plain boring.Â
Plus I really, really, really love your concepts of Clark being the definitive autistic boy who constantly causes my poor little wet cat, no affection needed, bruce eternal gay panics lmaooooo
Ok but Krypton!lives au but clark isn't some jerk alien prince, he is a brat no doubt but he's also just so oblivious to everything. Have some of my headcanons for this:
â˘I imagine it starting with kal el dropping down on Kansas farm [grown up and shit] being found by the Kents as they patch him up and take him down on the guest room, he wakes up freaks out a bit speaking in kryptonian and just floating around the house being overly careful of everything, ma and pa kent are confused and so is Kal, he tries to communicate with them and they finally find a common ground and after a month clark finally learns the human language.
â˘zod has managed to exile kal from his home planet, suffice to say kal el is currently heartbroken and looking for help
â˘Kal just saw some random pair of glasses and thought they were so cool so now he just wears them whenever he's in casual clothes but is in no way trying to hide his identity, people are just that dumb.
â˘Does not get social cues at all and will unwillingly say the wrong thing at the wrong time, he's just a happy little guy who wants to explore this strange planet and then go home
â˘he particularly likes rock music despite his personality, he finds hardcore metal music soothing
â˘he once tried to eat Batman's ears, in his defence they looked edible to him,
â˘Diana loves to fill in kal with false information about the human race, kal is not stupid enough to belive them but follows them anyways just because he thinks it would be funny
â˘Bruce has a very subtle crush on him and kal notices this immediately, he's confused as to why Bruce pretends to hate him
â˘The whole league [escpically bruce] is overprotective of him, lex Luthor doesn't stand a fucking chance
â˘Kal el has no filter and will call you out with a bright innocent smile and float away moving on with his day
â˘Kal lives in the watchtower only visiting earth for league business, he rarely works alone
â˘he floats near the Zeta tubes almost everyday hoping to see bruce and when he's not there he's disappointed
⢠he refuses to walk, he thinks he's done enough walking for a life time and bruce has to tug on kal's cape to make sure he isn't floating above his seat
â˘he is way more capable of communicating his emotions in kryptonian then in English, he will switch to kryptonian when he's ranting or angry
â˘Diana and Barry are the ones who suggest he make a civilian identity, and thus is born reporter clark kent.
â˘He still visits the Kents here and then bringing them souvenirs from space
â˘Does not understand when someone is flirting with him but will bring bruce random animals he finds in the wild as gifts because "I heard from Jason you like adopting tiny lonely beings"
â˘he's still pretty good at hiding his identity somehow and at this point as learned all social cues and slang thanks to lois
â˘yet he still decides to fuck with the league, he gives batman forehead kisses, he once called green lantern a thot ["does that not mean thoughtful?"] And will very knowingly insult anyone who even looks at his loved ones the wrong way
â˘while bruce is more open of his protectiveness [and possessiveness] of clark, Clark himself is more subtle and quiet about it, but not forgetting he's still technically a spoiled prince of Krypton cannot share. He snatches bruce and gets pouty whenever bruce is talking or flirting with anybody else
â˘it takes them five years to get together but it finally happenes and they start dating
â˘the kryptonians finally find clark and force him to go with them but clark now refuses even if his exile is over.
â˘unfortunately he really can't leave his planet behind and has to leave [he and bruce have a long sad conversation and clark breaks down]
â˘A month later bruce is handling another team meeting when Clark finally comes back
â˘he offically leaves Krypton to his older cousin Kara and moves in with bruce
â˘his favourite movies are the James bond movies
â˘The batfam all adore him
â˘Basically I want a Au of sweet innocent clark that's oblivious to innuendos and shit while bruce suffers in silence and the evolves into clark being a little shit who pretends he doesn't know what he's doing when pulls bruce close and whispers in his ear about smth knowing damm well he's doing things to Bruce.
Also-
Diana: Batman if your done fighting with your boyfriend, we need to leave
Batman: wha- kal is NOT my boyfriend!
Kal: (has only be in earth for a year) I'm not?
Batman: I-
Kal: Am I not your friend?
Batman: no kal I never said-
Kal: am I not a boy?
*jla snickering in the back*
