Another old doodle originally posted to twitter. I will say, my Shen Qingqiu design has slightly changed since I drew this, but not enough for me to want to redraw it. =w=

Some notes about my designs:

There's actually not much to say about my designs themselves, as I feel like they're rather run of the mill. HOWEVER...

I have this little head canon that played a part in how I drew these,

The head canon is that Shen Jiu had RNF (Resting Nice Face).

And Shen Jiu learned early on to make his expression mean and cold, because it was a good tool to scare people away. And he never actually stopped, even after ascension. Partly because of habit, partly because he felt it was still necessary.

Shen Yuan, meanwhile, had the opposite problem and had RBF (Resting Bitch Face).

Shen Yuan learned to make himself look nicer and warmer, mainly because his parents pointed it out. His parents worried he'd struggle to make friends because of it, so he learned to do it in order to reassure them. Eventually he just got into the habit of changing his expression whenever he went out, and the habit followed him post transmigration.

As a result of these combined facts, after Shen Yuan transmigrates, Shen Qingqiu accidentally ends up looking much nicer.

When SQQ-Y uses his "lofty and unapproachable immortal" persona, he uses his resting face. Because he forgets to take into account the fact that while Shen Yuan's resting face made him look unapproachable, SQQ-J may not have been the same. So he never quite notices that his persona isn't as lofty and unapproachable as he believes it is. Not only that, but after breaking the OOC lock, it doesn't take long for SQQ-Y to accidentally get back into the habit of making his expression warmer whenever he goes out. He'll stop when it's pointed out, but otherwise he'll be out and about all happy looking and be none the wiser.

I like to think that if Shen Jiu transmigrated into Shen Yuan, he'd have a similar problem.

Except he'd accidentally(?) make himself look angry/scary af.

System of Revenge and Acidic Chasms are a Gen 3 and Gen 4 iterator respectively in the Silver Skies local group. Their local group all have at least two pieces of gold jewelry.

System is male and Acidic is nonbinary.

The ancients in System's city are NOT emo, trust me. They wanted to make a threatening, strong iterator who invoked a sense of danger in others. Acidic's ancients are mostly ones that used to live on System, and they have the same administrator. Unlike Moon and Pebbles, they are not linked and do not share groundwater.

System and Acidic have what I believe would be ponchos.

System is super nice and shy, meanwhile Acidic is a feral gremlin who honestly acts like Sig if Sig had access to drugs.

They both literally do not care that the ancients ascended and are honestly glad they're gone. Both of them have a slugcat messenger.

After doing some research on the types of pets people had in ancient Greece, I'd like to imagine that Helen is the sort of person who has a whole menagerie of birds — and she loves each and every one of them very, very much.

It fits well with her being good at mimicry, you know. Talking and imitating and singing with her beloved birds 💜
