(this went on to be a longer ramble, talking about shrines and the abilities in totk i had more thoughts about the overworld repetition but im putting this into a separate post)

something i havent seen anyone mention before is also that it is a problem that you can skip nearly any puzzle in the totk "temples", some of which just by climbing walls ... and that wasnt possible in botw bc the titans were made of the same material as the shrines and prevented you from climbing on them, which feels like they knew making them climable would reduce the amount of puzzle you had to do and make it even less impactful, surely there are some glitches or movement tech that can make it easier, but at least you had to think about it a little?

but i guess that went against their newly adopted "more freedom equals better" way of thinking .. but then ..

the thing that i find confusing is that the shrines interior in totk are once again, NOT climable, but similar sonau buildings in the overworld ARE climable, they even restrict how you can use the tech in shrines, so ... they arent actually against restrictions? but then dont restrict anything else? not even in the main dungeons?? its kinda inconsistent and conflicting (like everything else lmao)

and that kinda extends to the abilities too, both the ceiling jump and ultrahand make alot of puzzles obsolete bc theres always a way easier way to skip everything; i know they kidna based it around people doing crazy thigns in botw, but there it felt like you were actually kinda missusing the mechanic of stasis for example in a smart way, YOU came up with that and it felt rewarding creating your own solution to shrine puzzles bc there were multiple ways to do it in this engine (like isntead of aligning blocks to lead electritiy to one end to the other you put out your weapons and place them there instead, and it WORKS) it felt more non intended, even if they had thoguht about it, it still FELT like you just came up with that, and sometimes it really was the only way your mind worked with and everyone had their own way of thinking

while in totk, they kinda tried to encourage that way of thinking, but it doesnt feel like your own idea anymore really, and, while its not every single one, in alot of totk shrines .. or even overworld puzzles you were just .. literally given the puzzle pieces for you to put together, but the pieces were like .. in parts of 6 at most so putting together the picture was both obvious and also kinda boring, like you were treated like you are a 4 year old and they were giving you 4 piece puzzles over and over- and fine you CAN just glue the two fans together and stand on them to fly high enough to just glide over to the end instead of building the flying thing they gave you the pieces for BUT its still .. expected, like you dont feel like you are working on it your way but seeing what the devs obviously planned for and then knowingly circumventing it i dont think its good either that in combination with the ceiling jump you really can just skip almost anything, take out a fly thing and fly near the end to spam the jump until it works, instead of using the building blocks they gave you for the obvious solution you build some platform and just ceiling jump to it, theres a rocket here? fuse it to your shield and fly high enough to glide to the end, its both too easy and obvious for the intented way and then you can even entirely skip that too, and you dont even feel smart about it bc it doesnt feel like you came up with it on your own and instead feel like a child that is way too old for the toys its given and the adults giving them to you stare at you while they wait for you to solve the puzzle- and alot of the solutions were either build something with these three pieces or fight something with these pieces-

i still remember that one (or more?) botw shrines were it lead you to a button to press and once you stand on it the wall slides open and reveals some fun and unexpected challenge, over and over- there was a hallway you had to glide through but there were big moving spiky metal balls hanging from the ceiling, maybe one has a normal rope on it and you can shoot it down if you notice it but the others dont so what do you do, stasis them so you can avoid it in time, grab it with magnesis to make it swing harder and then hope for the best as you fly there or dont do anything of that and just jump in- the one were a spiked wall was chasing you and as you run more obstables are put in your way right before you get to it, you stand on a button and the wall opens greeting you with an immediate guardian laser to the face? it felt more creative and fun to me, tho granted i havent done all shrines in totk bc i grew too tired of the everything to play more

(at least thats how i felt like, like i was treated like i was stupid for alot of totk, not just in the shrines sometimes .. which were one of the more enjoyable things in it, but also in the story .. like you dont have to think at all to get everything before its said to your face over and over)

and that thing with the abilities and the tech also makes the world less like a world and more like a playground bc you can just skip to every point of interest, you dont have to walk or climb or fight your way anywhere really bc you can just go up and fly to whereever you want, the new weird ass towers only make it worse bc .. of course youd make use of them to get everywhere even quicker, its also kinda in the combat, they might give you the tools to be creative (with arguably very simple things .. like a wheel, a rocket a fan and flamethrower arent realyl that interesting to begin with) why would you build a laser firing tank maschine to fight some bokblins you can just .. clobber like you usually do way quicker and easier

i do like the abilities in botw more than in totk too, but its got multiple reasons, like the world felt built around it without putting it into your face all the time, and the shrines were more built around giving you fun challenges, or just .. a fun experience, with often more subtle puzzles and not always forcing you to make use of the shiekah stone runes, plus the totk abilities feel more like the same thing .. or less interesting? fuse and ultrahand really are one and the same thing but separated into two for .. some reason, the time reversal is like stasis but with less ways to apply and use it (and kinda clunky how everything freezes in place when you prime it), and both it and the ceiling jump are a skip button from one location to the next (even tho we already have the fast travel) so you dont even need to climb, like those weird towers in the underground i thoguht looked cool and interesting when i first saw them only to realize its just a way to get to the surface via ceiling jump and nothing more .. you could fast travel up with the same amount of loading time, and more often than not it wasnt even in an interesting spot or somewhere you couldnt get to otherwise; the autobuild too even lets you skip building!! the thing thats the supposedly focus! i know its annoying to build something for a long time with its clunky function but isnt it yet another skip button

... another random ramble, much more incoherent too, again i want to mention im not trying to hate on everything, jsut kinda communicate or ... spill out my thoughts and feelings; i do absolutely agree that ultrahand is a very impressive mechanic and i did have fun with all the abilities for a while ..... i still like botws more bc its more diverse and is more restricted (which i LIKE) while also having more ways to use them

like!!!!! the rosho vs ichiro as produced by sasara is top tier stage moments!!!!! sasara revealing that rei was on his team and the disbelief on ichiro’s face???? and the way ichiro hit him with that yung thug look when sasara started pry???? sasara being that asshole and setting up the entire fight, cheering on rosho like his personal cheerleader???? rosho demanding (ichiro) to stop look acting like he’s just some side piece/stepping stone to sasara and that’s when ichiro properly looked at rosho, impressed as hell and that’s when their true battle started???? except sasara, the orchestrator may i remind you, could see both rosho and ichiro genuinely getting into it for the thrill of a good battle so he put a stop to it???? AND ROSHO FINALLY CALLING SASARA OUT ON HIS BULLSHIT????? AND SASARA TRIED TO APOLOGISE BUT ROSHO WASNT HAVING IT AND STORMED OFF????? i feel like fav actor implies i cared/knew of any of these actors before hypstage which would be very false lmao. but akira-san was a real one and fck nelke for taking his ichiro away from us, ayukawa-san was so adorable and friendly and it made his jakurai genuinely adorkable and fck nelke for making him cry, and hirono-san i will not shut up about if you get me started and fck nelke genuinely 😌

i remember loading up the mtr stream and i could tell even from being behind the screen the energy in that venue was kinda crazy and the actors were all feeding off of it which gave us some really fantastic performances lol. also 😭😭😭😭 dohifu playing around with jakurai in an adlib scene where ayukawa thru sensei confessed it’d been a very long time since someone goofed off with him like that and he could barely get the sentence out bc he was trying to not laugh and stay in character uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu…………

it’s so hard talking about hirono kuukou without feeling like i’ll explode the moment i start lol but his energy levels reaching a frenzied peak where he shouted NAGOYAAAAAAAAAAA until he blacked out mid song kinda leaves an impression on you and how much he loved the role lol

that bb story was so funny lmao hey siri play ‘can’t keep it cool’ by takano akira for how badly ichiro panicked at the thought saburo got a girlfriend and how he roped jiro into pretending he’s the princess of aoyama so he could practice leaving a good impression on her (even tho saburo DID NOT get a girlfriend and quite literally broke down into tears bc his brothers are stupid and it overstimulated tf out of him lol)

ik it was everyone’s first stage back and it kinda showed but there were plenty of moments that made you think ‘oh they still got it actually’ lol

i’m pretty sure i’ve watched at least one stream for each show except track 5 (i was off the grid) and dh rep live (IM SORRY) i don’t plan to go to jp to watch one either, unless these new gen actors somehow blow my mind in ways the legends era never did. but that’s a tall order bc the legends era defined so much of the characters despite not being canon. it was fun seeing the way the stage grew and how the actors grew into the characters and how it kept evolving until that era’s end

2019 hypmic’s clowned on the stage upon initial announcement bc what story could they possibly tell. well lmao!!!!! track 1 set the story straight and that’s when i knew the stage had magic 😭😭😭😭

i wonder lol!!!! i would have loved a leaders play to balance out having a tdd play in the legends era and ig i can still ride with one now!!!! but where canon’s at with its story makes me grateful the stage rebooted bc i personally couldn’t have seen how the stage would have adapted post 2nd drb stuff with its notable lack of women and the division beef resolving itself

maybe we can get the honobono hifumi doppo dynamic in stage tho!!!! get a proper nemu and samatoki duet!!!! lol do me a solid and have samatoki and ichijiku fight over nemu we got possibilities now with proper women

that’s a great question lol and one i don’t think i have an answer for. like the stage thrives in a state of non-canonicity but it drives me insane that there’s a subsection of hypmic fans who look at stage kuukou and don’t see how self-immolating he can be for others and have no reason to suspect he is. he’s the coolest and most shallow version of kuukou but that’s their canon and i genuinely hate it lmao

i’m a little partial to these quasi canon stories tho!!!! like i don’t think we would have ever seen nemu rise to her current rank without the stage so it’s neat to see the stage get utilised in that way. i’m personally interested in worldbuilding details no one else would be unless they were balls deep with no plans to pull out lol so the stage can keep surprising me there

i like that asakusa’s mics were all based on oni lore lol like jinpachi had an oni’s spiky club, doshiro had an oni axe and masamune fits in the silliest with a sake cup mic since oni are also known to love drinking lol

i also think kokuri’s drill mic was also silly lol and it’s so funny nobody knows why he has it

Ascalon Redesigns!

Ive always bashed Ascalon alot (still do) but watching kuro's breakdowns i coudnt help but wonder about how cool it wouldve been if it was actually executed well

My main gripes with it is that it didnt look like technology, made no sense to look the way it does, and felt very poorly thought out overall like the lore for it was a complete afterthought

As you can see here (and in my george design) Ive made ascalon alot more technological-looking and like something azmuth would actually build

So whats the deal with this device? Ascalon is a weapon that uses the incomplete DNA of powerful beings (such as celestialsapiens) to harness their power and manifest it into a superpowerful suit of armor and weapon that, if used correctly, can be used to dissect and study the fabric of reality.

This way Ascalon contrasts alot more directly to the omnitrix, being both DNA devices of sorts. And both made for the purposes of knowledge, but one is alot more destructive and obviously made for offensive purposes than the other

I gave it those weird vertical circle thingies to sort of look like the star alignment we saw in the flashbacks with Zennith. Always found it weird how that never came up and the design didnt evoke it at all apart from simply.. being long?

The armor and weapon are based off of the user and what their mind sort of understands as "combat gear." This is why it looks like a knights armor for George and how it manifests into a sword (or rather one of those cartooonishly large claymores). I tried to give it white tubes and some green dots to evoke the omnitrix more. Also slapped on a cool big cape because every robot armor should have a cape tbh. I didnt intend for that at the time but this ended up being a motif throughout the designs, finding a way to incorprate cloth into them

Here we have a hypothetical design for azmuth if he were to wield it. For galvans i imagine they probably go into battle in giant mechs, so thats what his ascalon is. Gave ascalon that 1 zigzag that his staff in soto has, but tried to move away from the soto mechs design for this bc i never imagined that one was used for serious military combat

In the azmuth flashbacks we saw that he gave Ascalon to an incursean warrior which is what led to their homeworld's destruction. I think DJW later said that the warrior was not an Incursean but idc !!

I drew this in the same pose that the warrior had in the shot we saw him in. Gave him the classic incursean helmet as well as some more incursean-y elements to his armor. He has a normal sword that looks more like canon ascalon's than george's (i wish i could pretend it was because hes the technical original wielder of ascalon so he gets to have the design match the canon but no it was a coincidence)

We saw Vilgax wield Ascalon for a brief moment in the show so i had to! This ascalon was a very easy choice for me since i made up my mind ages before i even got the idea. Vilgax should never ever wield any sort of weapon, because hes simply strong enough on his own that he can pure muscle and brain his way out of any conflict. Brute force is his fortei, not becasue hes dumb but because he just doesnt need to do anything else. BUT if you were to give him a weapon, it shouldnt be a sword or a gun (both things UAF had lmao) it should be something like a hammer or a mace or gauntlets. Brute force sort of weapon

Vilgax is a already warlord so it was simple to work off of his canon OS design (the coolest one) and come up with an armor for him. I also took some inspirations from Eva Unit-02 for the helmet and the cape (specifically its debut where it was covered in cloth)

Of course, for ascalon i had to go with hammer. I mean his ship is called the Chimeran Hammer so you gotta! Also i think its the most fun visual with vilgax

Last but not least, the last person to wield ascalon in the show, Ben himself! I originally wasnt planning to do this, but then i got the idea of giving him these 2 designs to represent his change in mindset he has in the finale

In the beginning hes mostly influenced by how he saw george wield ascalon and stuff,and hes kinda losing it in the sauce a little. So he has an armor similar to that of goerge. Then as he remembers his friends and his humanity, he comes back down to earth (metaphorically?) and his armor itself shifts to represent this, being a mostly cartoonish armor based off ultra ben who i assume is like bens sona or something lol

The cloth is a menacing badass cape like George's, but then shifts into this sort of bubbly friendly skirt. His weapon also shifts from daggers wrapped around the omnitrix (representing using the omnitrix as a wepaon) to a shield wrapped around the omnitrix (representing using the omnitrix as a peacekeeping device)

These weapons dont actually interact with his omnitrix in anyway, theyre mostly just wrapped around it so he can still access it. The aliens would probably have george's armor but with slight changes to fit each alien better

Always really really really disliked both of these designs in the show, they felt like they went through zero drafts before the final design and they just kinda did whatever (which isnt far off from how the rest of this arc was handled lol)

I tried making vilcubra look more creepy and like his body was indeed transformed to be a servant, and also closer to how the lacubras actually look so i SLASHED off his toesies and took out his eyes and put them on his shoulders so they dont look like eyes (leaving room for the teeth to overtake the face) also gave him a tail

I think the idea behind having Dagax be a floating vilcubra head vilgax was because they thought a floating normal vilgax head would look goofy (theyre right) but i think they failed to realize that the floating vilcubra head is equally goofy even if indeed you give it red eyes. So i just tried to make my design be something of a mix between the actual Dagon and vilgax

I admit i ran into some trouble trying to do that as vilgax was the OG cthulu inspired design, so trying to mix him with other cthulu presented trouble. I tried to at least slant his eyes the same way they looked in OS and give him the OS yellow spots, as well as the 2 big tentacles he has in the back of his head in OS and OV

* Okay Realistically, the writing was very poor. Plot was all over the place/disjointed and it was hard to follow what was going on for the first half. Dialouge cheesy and cringy. But this is Resident Evil. That's a staple at this point lmfao

* The action was over the top and chaotic and admittedly, I laughed my ass off at the final boss fight. It was just... jfc overkill in a good, hilarious way. I lost it when the rocket launchers came out and even more when Chris held the bullet belt(?).

* Truthfully, regarding above, it's bc a lit of moments in this movie reminded me of my time in 7 Days, especially the last boss fight. The act of finding and using random weapons and ammo you happen to loot on spot is Very Much on par w how we do in that game lmao

* On the flip side though, back to the bad writing.... Dylan could've been handled MUCH better. His arc started out great with an interesting premise and even his later ideology**. But it's quickly lost with the typical corny comic muwahaha villainly. Honestly, it could have worked - they couldve shown a sliw descend into masness and evil after Raccoon instead of leaving a very large gap. But that would probably require more time, like Infinite Darkness had (sort of...). Regardless, there was potentialfor him to be both an interesting villain AND the typical Evil. It just wasnt executed properly here.

**(he's not wrong...one of the things RE has always gotten right, and I will defend, is that it's actually not the monsters you need to worry about, but the people behind them. Or rather, the people with higher power and money and greed. That's the true Resident Evil - it's the evil within human society and corporation.)

* Okay but my biggest takeaway, and probably a Weird Opinion, is due to the obvious comparison in internal doubt and ideology (Government Bad, Big Execs Bad, Basically All Human Greed Bad) between Dylan and Leon... Leon could've been the Villain here. While I doubt he'd turn to bioterrorism, could see him in Dylans exact spot. Disavowed/disillusioned with the government, tired of the lies and cover-ups, tired of his entire LIFE being robbed by state officials who needed a lapdog/cleanup boy/scapegoat. Turning sides because he's just Exhausted and 5000% Done and as he said in Vendetta (yeah I know he's "better" now but mmmm I have Doubts), it's just one bitter fight after another with no end and no way out. Also...Leon in a black button up and trench coat, just sayin' 🤷

ok so its been more than a month since my graphic screen is arrived and bein used almost every day for 6-12 hours its time to do a lil review under the cut

(obligatory warning for longreads my english is a crap and yada yada) my bby boaris (kabanchik) cintiq 16'. (old one from 2020) I bought the tablet for a loot of reasons, Very Reasonable ones and not so reasonable too LMAO. Earned money with blood and sweat (literally💥) ANYWAY. Tablet's size is perfect for my needs, not way too small, not way too big, the screen workspace is the same with my old laptop (give or take few mm) This cintiq isnt from manufactor, its used before tablet from someone else in 'from the assembly line' condition. As soon as tab arrived i immediately ordered a ptotective film to prevent the appearance of The Hole. You what im talking about.

I was afraid that it would be extremely inconvenient for me to work with it and that the purchase would generally be unsuccessful, because before ONCE IN MY LIFE 7 yrs ago i had an experience w cintiq 24' and it wasnt really comfortable then. AND i had always used a regular plain tablet. BUT NOOOPE everything is PERFECT and i love it.

PROS!! - brain loves to see what u are actually drawing. Its easier to control every single move and stroke therefore it drastically buffs your skill. The progress of it development i mean. U have to get used to it. the tablet itself wont give u a 'make my skill insane button' u have to WORK ON IT obviously. (says the one who've been stuck in cps for a month straight OUGH) - it works as another monitor. so u can do whatever u wish using two of them. or u can just buy random tablet screen and use it as a SINGLE monitor lmaooo. -doesnt overheat (my main display overheats noticeably thank god i dont need to place my arm over it). -uses one single thicc cable which divides into three at the end (usb hdmi and power cables) - thin, from 1cm to 1,5cm +-, wheights somewhere 1,5kgs, has small stand legs which gives it ahh +- 30 degrees tilt angle. U can travel with the tablet but it needs pc or laptop to be connected with. -i havent seen its guts but i bet the circuits are...fine... i hope so.. at least if it wont overheat then the circuits wont burn down.. makes sense.. yeah.... -I also didnt notice any problems with drivers or connection for this month. u just turn ur pc on and ready to go.

CONS. - ur neck is bout to die if u gonna work like me cuz its tilt is only 30 degs (u can buy a normal stand tho. or a monitor bracket and stop torturing urself). SHRIMP POSTURE CHEEEECK. - it doesn't have buttons like my tablet had. Its a taste preference honestly. for someone its a pros for me its a cons. EASILY COUNTERS BY it might seem crazy what im bout to say A KEYBOARD. you just need to get used to it. again. - should i even mention the price? ofc its a con. since mine is a former usage one it was a lil cheaper than usually. but I knew what I was buying ((WACOM)) so i aint complaining now. - small really small con: sometimes cps wont react to pen button clicks but ig its even a program problem than tablets (easily counters by pressing space button one time). its really just a biiit annoying and nothing special. It works great all of the time. - THE PEN TIP WEARS OFF WITH FIRST COSMIC VELOCITY. ig its affected by protective film (its matte). counters by TITAN PEN TIP (plus now its a weapon if u are brave enough) -due to its protective matte film there is a small insignificant diffs between two screens but its not really this big. At least between mine displays. Diff btw my old laptop screen colors and tablet is fucking HUGE (lap is a 12 yrs old veteran have some respect🙄) - OK OK OK LAST LITTLE NIGGLE. Since I play shooters like valorant and...cs.. and move my hand powerfully across the table, I HAD to look for *that very specific place* for the tablet so that everything would be perRRRFECT by millimeters (ocd moment)

Set the scene here

The world she grew up on was . Lets just say not friendly to her or her mom

Theyre witches, like biologically. Not human. Theyre very similar to humans, but not actually human. The main difference is the blood, which unlike human blood is pinkish, kinda sparkly, and has magical properties. They can also see through time but those are person specific powers and not an overall thing like the blood

Lexax can see into the past (including other peoples pasts but only if shes touching them) her mom can see into the future

Lexax has tried to see into the future but her eyes temporarily exploded so she doesnt do that lmao

Before lexax was born her mom used a love potion on her dad and that cursed not only the relationship, but any child born out of it (meaning poor little lex)

Things go fine until lexax (then iris vae) turned 6. The people in the nearboy town got some kind of proof of what her mother had done, and . Well. You know the typical execution for witches right ?

With orchid (her mother) dead, the spell she had used on lexaxs father was broken. Because of this, he panicked, abandoned his poor already very traumatized child and fled the town.

With no one left to protect her, the kid had to learn how to survive on the streets, and FAST. And she did. Though not without consequences.

She became sharp, but bitter. Fear and rage drove pretty much her every action.

With her survival skills, she had to learn to steal . The theft, paired with no protection, had her getting beat fairly often. It wasnt until she was around 12-13 that it got Bad, but she could mostly patch herself up with the potions she could brew from her blood (the magical properties i mentioned)

Eventually, someone New showed up in the town. He saw this kid passed out from her wounds in the middle of the square, saw no one helping her, and decided "well damn clearly this kid has no one" and helped her.

When she came to, the man asked for her name. Trying to distance herself from the father that abandoned her, she gave him a new name she came up with on the spot. Axel.

He stuck around for a couple years, watching out for her, teaching her how to wield a weapon, teaching her how not to survive but to Live,

He taught her about worlds other than the one she lived in, about creatures called heartless, about keyblades

If you havent guessed already, the guy is xehanort

Except a much "kinder" version (to thsi day lexax doesnt know if it was an act she shed trust him or if it was real. Shell never get the answers she wants now)

When she was 14-15 ish, she came home to find her "dad" beaten half to death and fading fast. She was fully convinced he died in her arms, but when she returned from digging the grave, the body was gone. She didn't think twice about it, only assumed it was the townspeople taking away her chance at closure, like with her mother.

This was the final nail in the coffin for her to become fully closed off, bitter and angry and frankly would rather die than make any connections ever again

Not to mention is fully willing to kill, if it would protect herself.

Like 11 years later, heartless start popping up everywhere. While trying to take one out, she almost accidentally skewers some goofy lookin kid in a red jumpsuit with an oversized housekey.

Apparently, the townspeople had told the kid, sora, that she had summoned the heartless. Complete lies, she was the one who was keeping them at bay, but prejudice will have people believe anything.

It becomes clear pretty fast what happened, and sora and his friends end up growing really fast on her. A day or two after that, she and sora found themselves completely surrounded by heartless, with no end to them in sight.

She made sora run and leave her behind, sacrificing herself to hold back the tide so he could escape. She didnt stop fighting for a second, even as she watched them tear the heart from her chest.

When she came to, the heartless were gone, but strangely, so was all the rage and fear and sorrow she had relied on to keep her going for all those years. And for some reason, she ... didnt care.

For about a year, she went on like that. The townspeople largely left her alone now, as apparently she had been seen "die and come back"

It made them more afraid of her, but whatever worked.

Eventually, two men showed up at her house. One with a ponytail, and one that both, in a weird way reminded her of her "dead" father figure and also SUPREMELY creeped her out.

They offered her a way out, a new name -- lexax --, and a job as a weapon of sorts, and she took it. Anything was better than where she was.

She passed out when she agreed, and when she woke up, her vision was. Wrong. When she looked in the mirror, her left eye had been replaced. The new eye was red and had an x shaped pupil, and when she looked at herself, she could see every last one of her weaknesses. It was unnerving. Immediately she made herself an eyepatch to cover it, and changed up her appearance, a way to signify her new life. Her made her originally dark brown hair blonde, and shaved half her head. Why not right never too late for an emo phase

OH SHIT I FORGOT SOMETHING WHEN SHE WAS LIKE 15 SOMEONE TRIED TO KILL HER . They tried to burn her at the stake like her mom

She managed to kill her would be executioner and get away, but not without extreme burns on her legs and severe pyrophobia

ANOTHER THING I FORGOT at like age 16-17 for a few months she was able to go to the realm of darkness in her dreams. She ended up finding/making friends with/having a bisexual awakening over a girl there. One with blue hair and a keyblade.

But it wasnt long before she lost the ability to go there.

Anyway, her first day she gets paired up with some rehead guy. Something about "proving himself" after losing... someone. she was really not paying attention to anything that was being said unless it was being said to her directly

The guy doesnt seem too jazzed about it, but hey, neither is she.

They get their mission done, but last second get swarmed by a random hoard of heartless. It seems like theyll be fine, but then she realizes. This guy is fighting with *fire*. Lexax freaks out and bolts, so the guy has to go hunt her down

They have a little bit of a bonding moment, but shes not here to make friends so as soon as they get back she locks herself in her room

Over time, as much as she was trying not to, she ends up making friends with the redhead guy, along with the ponytail guy that originally came to get her, but ESPECIALLY demyx who is the only one who gets to be named here. Best friend privilege lol

Well. The main events of kh2 happen. Finding out about the demise about 2/3 of her friends but especially demyx, lexax goes a little. Apeshit. Initially she wasnt going to fight sora because he was her friend too, but after finding out he was the one that killed demyx, and being lied to abt him "being the one that killed axel" (she was purposely very much kept out of all the loops and lied to at every turn because that worked SO well with roxas and xion) (speaking of. She was made xv but no one knew why . If she tried to ask x*mnas he would just give her this look that really creeped her out until she left)

Anyway she vowed for revenge and hunted down sora when he went for his whole seige on tctnw

Problem was her whole rage thing made her sloppy. She ended up with a whole ass keyblade through her gut and was forced to hear soras side of the story as she laid on the ground half dead

Realizing how badly her head had been fucked with, she forgave him and wished him luck going forward, then forced him to leave her, since she wanted to die alone

Before she could die though she realized she had One healing potion left. It brought her back from the brink of death, but not by much.

By the time lexax had caught up with sora and co, the only one left was x*mnas. So, she does what any reasonable person does and shows up to the fight, claiming that bc it was just the two of them now that there wasnt an organization left for her to betray and she was just there to watch the fireworks. After all, she never fuckin liked him anyway.

In a show of power, he attacks her by surprise and force chokes her to death. She didnt get any words out but she Did flip him off on her way out

She comes to back in her old home, and while she cant use dark corridors anymore, she Does have a form of teleportation she can use, provided she has the right ingredients for the potion + has been where shes trying to go

So she goes somewhere she always thought was peaceful and calm, which, frankly, is something she fuckin needs at this point -- twilight town.

She also decides to keep her name and new appearance. If she came back, her friends might too, and it would be better if they could actually recognize her when they did.

Just a heads up beyond this point is when the romancy stuff starts to kick in bc she deserves love so much forever poor woman has experienced The Horrors for 27 years let her Rest (oh . Yeah . I should mention i hc kh2 to take about a year in itself. 6 ish months at the very least there was so much happening in it its the longest kh game by far) oh yeah also now that shes no longer a nobody the red eye is gone so shes just kinda normal now

Anyway shes minding her own business in her little house in tt and she hears a voice that she hadnt expected to hear again and quite literally falls out of her 2nd story window in shock. Dw she lands in the bushes shes fine shes survived way worse

But when she wrestles herself Out of the bushes, there he is, one of her friends that is Supposed to be dead

She had told herself that if she came back, they probably did too, but it wasn't much of a hope. More of a bandaid on the bullet wound that was the despair she was feeling over it

Anyway she sees axel (or lea now but how would she know that) and shes just. Standing there. Because thats all she can think to do . Shes in shock but she manages to say his name and he turns around and she just fucking. LAUNCHES herself at him in the biggest fuckin hug shes ever given

Yknow at least until her legs turn to jelly and she starts Bawling because no one has ever come back before

They catch up and then eventually the start of kh3 happens

Sora shows up and warns her the org is back but doesnt mention xehanort

No one knows her connection to him except xigbar who is keeping his mouth shut about all this because its funnier to just watch it all happen

Well guess who shows up in her house to try and sway her over to his side

Lexax feels Every Emotion At Once on finding out her long lost father figure wasnt actually dead. She goes to hug him but last second, surprising both herself and xehanort, FUCKING DECKS HIM GET HIS ASS LEXAX

All the joy she felt at realizing he was alive turned to rage in an instant when she realized that he abandoned her after he PROMISED he would get her out of that world, knowing full well the amount of danger she was constantly in

This turned to even more rage when she found out that technically he was xemnas and he fucking killed her

She went apeshit and kicked him out of her house, as she should

So then immediately he sent in xigbar, because they were friends so hes probably got a better chance at swaying her

Well shes overjoyed to see him too

But then something clicks about a reaction hed had to her in the past and she realizes. He knew abt xehanort the whole damn time so now shes pissed at him too

Not quite so much, he doesnt get decked, but shes mad nonetheless

This is when she officially joins up with sora.

But because of that, theres a last ditch effort from Daddy Issues to try and bring her over

And of course, its the most logical move anyone can use

Fucking. Remotely EXPLODE lexaxs left eye and have the red one grow back in its place ! It doesnt have its old powers anymore, but instead has a new function -- he can watch her every move, and she knows it.

Fucking scary right

Anyway she tells sora about this and he sends her to radiant garden because if anyone can help its the biggest emo nerd with the most lab unsafe haircut ever ienzo

Well. He cant help.

So lexax, being the badass she is, decides to take it upon herself and fix the problem.

By gouging out her own eye.

After this, she decides that xehanort needs to be dealt with, and he needs to be dealt with NOW. Fuck all his plans for whatever

So she sends a message not only to sora (by the way i forgot to mention her nickname for him, she calls him starboy :] ) but to lea as well that shes taking him on herself and if she doesnt contact them in like 10 minutes to assume shes dead

The element of surprise worked in her favor, but not enough to kill him like shed planned. Instead, she cut off one of his arms. Before she could get a second swing in, he got her in a move similar to how xemnas had killed her

But, learning from her mistakes, she had a teleportation potion locked in her teeth in case of this exact scenario, and was able to bite down on it and get herself out of there before she died, with only some heavy bruising around her windpipe

Fast forward to the scene with everyone in the mysterious tower bc like hell she isnt getting involved in that (somewhere in there theres a reunion with demyx and now shes One Happy Lexax. Also he lives in her house now (meaning he just kinda showed up and she never told him to leave))

She and aqua have a whole pointing spiderman meme moment like "HOLY SHIT YOURE REAL???" and also she comes clean to everyone abt her ties with xehanort and everyone gets a little freaked out abt that, and rightfully so but its still a little insulting its pretty clear no one wants him dead more than her

During the whole fuckin battle sequence where Everyone Dies she focuses almost solely on keeping lea safe . She lost him once, no way in hell shes gonna do it again thats her Fuckign Boyfriend

When the maze shit initially happened, the L&L duo got separated, and lexax ended up fighting xigbar

During this fight, she manages to make a sort of whip out of tangible darkness. Xigbars like "dont you think youre getting too op lol" and lexax hits him with the "i had to take out my own eye i think i earned this" and it comes out. He had no fucking idea what she had been put through. And considering they are still friends, hes a little bit Shook about it

Like he hides it well but theres a certain air of horror to his reaction that you can tell hes a little fucked up over it

And, deciding he doesnt wanna fight her anymkre, just fuckin. Teleports her over to The Boyf.

She meant to stay by leas side during this and protect him, but as soon as she saw x*nmas she got Revenge Tunnelvision and went all out attackjng him and only him.

Her sword shatters in the fight, leaving her with just a jagged stump of metal to attack with . Fucked up

Well just to taunt him, lexax cusses him out and shows off her new keyblade, because the main reason he had left her was her inability to manifest one

Anyway fast forward Again to his Defeat Defeat

While the wayfinder trio is having their moment with force ghost eraqus lexax ends up clinging to xehanort and sobbing, saying that she "hates him so much"

All he can do is hug her back and say "i know"

Then following his Peaceful Fuckoff With His Ghost Ex, she has a full on breakdown. Screaming, crying, punching the ground. He hurt everyone so much, he hurt HER so much, why should he get to have such a peaceful happy ending???

She tells everyone she needs to be alone for a bit and fucks off back to her original world for a few hours, and comes back to her house in like the middle of the night

Cue the epilogue cutscene era

dad - his problem is that, he supports his kid but they dont Talk. he recognizes the situation is Not Good and grieves for his mother but doesnt tell john Anything to protect him - even going go far as to lie about how nanna died. he Watches john and can recognize his surroundings [what movies he likes, the writings on his walls] but never actually Talked with him. inherent misunderstandings.

i think out of all of them, jade and june would forgive more easily just by. Not recognizing that anything was ever off. but they [jade probably] would eventually make peace even if theres a lot of anger and grief involved, just because shes used to that. june is. complicated because she has the 'best of it all' and would struggle the most with it. if they could have one honest conversation i think they would be fine but that obviously cant happen. not even with a Different version of her dad.

dave i dont think would ever forgive his brother and i dont think thats a bad thing. sometimes its better to just let go, its in the past and no amount of what ifs can ever change that. it would probably affect his relationship with dirk though and That would take a while to. not fix but come to terms with if that makes sense. rose is. Also. very complicated in the same reason as june since their home lives Very mirror each other. although she has the chance to talk with roxy and figure out Why she did what she did. i think she heavily goes back and forth on 'i understand and forgive her' and 'she never Talked with me, its her fault our relationship was messed up. i was a child' and they can co-exist.

thats my thoughts at the very least. trauma and trauma recovery is a very tricky subject and theres no black and white of it. and its even Harder to talk about all together cause its like. oh yea they had it Worse so why are you talking about this? when its not. about that. they were all stuck in the same shitty circumstances.

okay. um. dexter is really fucking traumatized and can work just about any weapon; or make things that weren't a weapon in the first place into a weapon. he's partially good with blades.

AA definitely does not know how to work a weapon at all but if you gave her a gun she would. figure it out really quickly and probably accidentally shoot herself in the leg. but then she'd probably retain that information and then know how to work it just incase (will probably fuck up again though because their. whole thing is bad luck)

Trixie. is like. a mad scientist. she could probably work a weapon and also infuse skin burning acid into it and then look deep into the burned acid molecules of your flesh and figure out how to make it as awful as possible. for science of course(he is crazy and insane)

Thinking about the boy. Making his backstory and eventually after i move i’ll upload all my doodles of him

Prefers He or they. Cross-dresses and strangers assume he’s a woman but it’s nbd 5′3″ Gay -Still unure about age. It’s difficult with TES elves bc they live for like 3 centuries and i’m not exactly sure how fast they age. Chauncy looks youngish like he could be in his early-mid twenties but in an elvish lifespan he’s like 36.

- Incredibly naive and non present with the world around him. He has no skills that would have been prized in Valenwood, where his parents are from. He had never seen it. He’s very clumsy and has bad aim and is incredibly impatient. His parents think that it is because he wasnt raised in Valenwood.

- He actually grew up on the road. His family traveled all over as his father was hired to escort merchants and travelers. His father hoped that a traveling life would better prepare his son in the future. He couldnt exactly help guard anyone or help hunt, but he’s actually pretty strong despite his frame and helped with carrying things and processing kills. He also liked chatting with the merchants and learning more about cyrodil and what happens in the Imperial City.

- He’s got a weird relationship with meat. He’s fine with the taste and he can touch it. he can process an animal. but he has a very sharp sense of smell so if it smells even a LITTLE weird like it hadnt been washed properly or its not like MINUTES fresh, it puts him off of it entirely. - Ended up “eloping” with some merchant who took advantage of his naive nature. convinced him to run away to the imperial city. They got married, only for the merchant to run away and leave Chauncey to pick up the debt, for which he was imprisoned at the start of Oblivion. - Gets offended when people think he’s never gone to jail - Has NO knowledge of the daedra or divines. all he knows is that saying nice things about one or the other can get you killed so he usually avoids those topics.

- He uses a Claymore because he saw it and he thought it was cool. he has NO formal training and just wildly swings it around. This has killed a good number of allies and he HAS been fined for it. He does NOT want to go back to jail it was too sad in there. Wont give up said claymore just because it gets the quickest results. - Is afraid of the Dark Brotherhood. He’s not a murderer. All those claymore casualties were ACCIDENTS! Lachance just sits on his chest and goes “then why dont you just switch to another weapon lmao” and chauncey just gets mad. - He tries to do a lot of stuff that hes not skilled enough to do. Like useless potions that just taste weird and fancy sword tricks that end up with him falling on his face. He bought a soul trap spell and when he tried to cast it he passed out on the road and was being slowly carried away by skeevers until a guard saved him. - Feels SUPER guilty about leaving Kvatch without helping. Whenever he hears someone call him the Hero of Kvatch, he just tells them theyre mistaken. - Because of this, he vowed to close every gate he sees. After maybe the first ten, he learned how to just speedrun them, along with being an expert Looter. Goes into a gate and returns 5 minutes to the general store with like 15 Daedra hearts in a scamp skin and just wetly plops it all on the table. -Aligned with Knights of the Thorn. They have a cool name and their leader is cool. He’s actually picked up a lot of things from Farwyn like saying Huzzah and exagerrating events for coolness. -Wants that 15,000 manor in Cheyindale just to be close to the Knights. If he ever suceeds, he’ll never furnish it. Male living Spaces.  He’s worried though that he’ll be arrested again for his Ex’s debts and be put in jail again. He loves Martin but in the back of his mind, he’s trying to bring it up to him and hopes maybe when Martin’s an emperor, his debts will be erased. -Also some beggar in Imperial City made him check his adventurer priveledge and made him super sad so he like just gives away his gold. -Thinks about Martitties a lot. Like literally just one road trip was all it took for Chauncey to like him. In typical HoK fashion, He would die for Martin. -He told Martin this and Martin  told him he’d rather chauncey live for himself and Chauncey exploded into tears. - in typical bosmer fashion, he sleeps in really uncomfortable places like on a rock in some mountain crevice. but he prefers beds. even if theyre just filled with straw, they just knock him right tf out. Also why he hates Lachance. Stop interrupting his naptime bitch.

i do have a lot of things to say about bayo3 now that i’ve completed the main storyline and been given time to think things over. 

personally, the core mechanics of the game, i.e the combat and demon masquerade/slave, were a LOT of fun. the way you can rack up combo points really easily by equipping and using your demons to boost your attacks is really neat, and beating the shit out of an enemy with one of them was always a blast. the weapons were unique and fun and while i do miss being able to mix&match whatever 2 you’d like, i get it: each weapon has its corresponding masquerade that adds its own flavor to the combo pool. every boss battle had me on the edge of my seat, wndering whch demon was going to get supercharged and just how they’d have you use them to beat the enemy. giant kaiju battle with gomorrah? blowing cute little bubbles as you relax in the clouds as a giant mistress of atrocity? controlling either malphas or phantasmaraneae? a god damn RHYTHM GAME with baal? riding on Madama and beating the shit out of some homunculi? come on. 

i didnt mind that the levels were a little more open, they all looked pretty good but, they suffered from where a lot of more modern nintendo games do, wherein they felt kind of empty. i think i felt this more when you were on thule, as opposed to the physical locations like all the cities. there really wasnt much going on there, it was just kind of a hub for all the portals and unlike-- i guess the best relative comparison to the series would be, noatun--didnt really get developed. so, i will say, the portions where you travel across thule are some of my least favorite. 

which, does bring me to my biggest complaint, is the overall handling of the story. everyone’s talked about the ending to death and how bland the narrative is, but the biggest thing for me is how underdeveloped the whole thing is. there’s hardly any lore given for thule, how the lumen and umbra even got there, why they started using this island in the first place. i havent collectd all of luka’s journal entries for this game, so idk if those help shed more light like they usually do, but, then again, all of this SHOULD be provided within the game itself. a big part of what i love from the bayonetta series is how lore heavy 1&2 are. does a lot of it make sense? no. is some of the storytelling in 1&2 messy? of course. they throw so much at you in the first 2 games, that it can honestly be a bit overwhelming, but that’s a big reason that encouraged me to replay them so much. it’s like watchng a movie multiple times; the more see it, the more you find out. with 3, there’s not a lot TO find out. even the core theme of being in control of your own destiny and defining your own truth while, a decent theme, is kind of haphazardly thrown together at the very end. 

and while there’s a lot of mixed opinions ON the end, i thought it was... ok? i got spoiled like, before the game even came out about who viola turns out to be so, unfortunately, the big reveal at the end wasn’t really a “reveal”. i’m definitely surprised this is the turn they took, but it doesn’t bother me That badly. it’s tossed in so last minute too that i cant really give it much more than an afterthought lmao. i DID however really enjoy the boss battle when all 3 bayonetta’s show up though. that was really cute and the fight itself was fun. 

i really enjoyed jeanne’s little levels! the music was good, i LOVED the QT J transformation sequence that could happen, the way it utilized her beast & centipede within. the shower bonus always made me crack up and they are all relatively easy to rank up a platinum-pure platinum with.

i wish jeanne had more time in the game, like actual dedicated levels like viola, but i’m glad theyre sticking the trend of having her be unlocked by completing the main story like 2. and speaking of viola, i enjoy her as a character. she’s cute and being voiced by one of my favorite creators doesnt hurt, but man do i SUCK as using her parry 😭 it was just really easy for me to get frustrated fighting wth her, especially new enemies/bosses. and, again, i just wish they’d developed her  a little bit more.

the story is definitely where the game lacks a lot of its previous charm, but the fights and combats really did carry a lot of its faults. i had so much fun experimenting with all of the demons and new weapons and how the masquerades work, that i could forgive how lackluster the narrative was. which, does suck, considering how much i loved learning about the World of Bayonetta, but there’s nothing to be done about it now. 

i personally had a fun time with the game and sunk almost 20 hours into it already and i havent even touched the post-game content, not to mention replaying the chapters to get a better score. i dont know where the series stands as of right now, and im gonna be honest, i wouldn’t be upset if this was the last game. it’s pretty clear that the creative workings for this one were all over the place, if the jumbled, disjointed plot is any indication. is it everything we expected? definitely not, but i am grateful that it was still able to get made in spite of everything. i was just happy to have another bayonetta game. i’ve been a fan of this series for over 10 years now, and while its definitely not as good as its predecessors, it still has its own unique individual charm that i’m sure i will keep coming back to down the line.

I'm sorry that this brings a lot of negativity, but I just want to discuss a bit.

Since you've been around since the early days, I just wanted to check if there was a cult of personality in the early L'Manburg days. Mainly because I came across this take while editing TV Tropes (the editor claimed to be “correcting” information and added it) and from what they have said, they sound like an apologist for the sad green man.

They also claimed that c!Dream only started cutting off his attachments AFTER the Spirit incident (before Exile).

I want to know your thoughts on this take, because I think I'm about to cry over how stupid this sounds.

Going to rip this apart one second.

This person says L'Manberg was formed on the basis of "making a drug empire" using "materials that Wilbur and Tommy stole or manipulated other SMP members into giving" and oh boy.

1. Wilbur and Tommy stole a few brewing stands and some potions from Tubbo's base, which wasn't Right, but it also.. wasnt as bad as it sounds? The only person they really tried taking blaze rods from was again, Tubbo - but Sapnap took the blaze rods before they could - and then later, Tubbo gave the whole stack of blaze rods willingly to help Wilbur and Tommy. No other SMP members were affected other than Tubbo who chose to join their side. The only people they tried "manipulating into giving items" were Sapnap and Tubbo. Tubbo who later decided to work with them, Sapnap who refused and didnt have any items taken from him. Fundy later joined because he literally said he wanted to brew drugs. Eret decided to help Wilbur and Tommy for fun.

2. "L'Manberg was founded on the basis of creating a drug empire" god is this a tiring take. Yes, there was a "drug van" that held.. normal Minecraft potions. The drugs were a bit. Nobody ever acted high off their ass on drugs. Also L'Manberg was Not the drug empire. The drug empire is the failed thing they attempted before this, and the.. violent reaction to the drug empire sparked the L'Manberg revolution. Sapnap had repeatedly been referred to as the "police" and Wilbur even had Fundy say "fuck 12" and he was called a "pig eating pig". Sapnap killed Tommy, and later Purpled went on a killing spree, killing Fundy, Eret, Wilbur, and tried to kill Tommy and Tubbo. Wilbur's idea of a Safe Independent Nation was a response to the violence, not because he wanted to make drugs. Literally after L'Manberg got its independence I vividly remember Wilbur telling Tommy to stop talking about drugs bc he just wants a Hamilton roleplay lmao. Wilbur and Tommy never tried the drug thing after this, L'Manberg's focus has never been selling or creating drugs.

3. Yes they banned Americans from joining L'Manberg. It was funny. But there's this weird idea that "oh nobody could enter-" they could! People entered L'Manberg all the time, nobody could enforce the whole "keep non-L'Manbergians out" thing. Quackity trespassed on his first day. One time Sapnap threw a tantrum bc Tommy wouldnt kick Fundy out and went into L'Manberg to shoot at the salmon in the river. There's a whole stream with Niki hanging out with Punz, Ponk, Eret and Karl.. on L'Manberg's grounds. L'Manberg had a "no armor, no weapons" rule, so if anyone were to enter L'Manberg they'd take their armor off and keep their weapons away. Surprisingly enough this one was followed.

4. The idea that Dream was "in the right" during the first L'Manberg war. Why does there have to be a "right"? I dont think L'Manberg side was morally great, but that doesnt make Dream the one in the right. Even if it was "his land", even if he had a right to be mad... he focused on Tommy over the person who actually made L'Manberg, he destroyed Tommy's base twice, he burnt down Tubbo's base, he destroyed Tommy's cuck shed, he and his friends stole 10 hours worth of grinded items from Tubbo ONE DAY before the war, and then again stole the items he'd prepared the MORNING of the war. He then appointed a spy and took 4 canon lives. May I bring to attention that he did all this to enemies to repeatedly said theyd fight with words, not weapons, who refused to grief back. Dream was "viewed as a bad guy" because he destroyed things and killed people. He KNEW L'Manberg was harmless, he literally called them "The Land of Pussies" half an hour before declaring war and then burying Tommy and Tubbo in a hole to steal their items for fun. He knew damn well there was no chance of L'Manberg ever winning and he refused to let them have a chance at getting good items. Even if he felt villainised by L'Manberg, the "propaganda" turned nobody against him that didnt already have a bad experience with him, and the rest of the server was FINE with him until he hurt them directly.

6. Tommy threatening Dream with Spirit is a scene that makes me see Red when people talk about it. Tommy was being humiliated for what was essentially the crime of.. burning a roof and building a netherrack penis. Dream responded by building huge obsidian walls and threatening war, instantaneously taking it too far. Everything was being blamed on Tommy, you could clearly see him panicking, Dream was taunting him, sending him whispers of "enjoy your probation" and ":)", knowing damn well he'll make Tommy snap. Tommy threatened Dream with Spirit to try to get him to take the walls down, to try to get him to stop. He did what Dream had done to him multiple times, use an attachment against him. I hate the idea of "this is the moment Dream gave up his attachments" because it blames everything on Tommy once again. People frame this as a malicious act from Tommy against Dream but it was a scared kid doing a last desperate move to try to get the person who was threatening to build walls up to build height and slaughter anyone outside them who was also trying to exile him from his nation to stop and leave him alone. George's house was an excuse, there has been no rule against messing with the DSMP king, no rules were added or changed. Tommy is not to blame for Dream willingly giving up his attachments, and the Spirit thing was a dumb move at best but never a malicious one done intentionally to hurt Dream. I hate the idea that Tommy "deserved exile" for "not listening" and letting Dream walk all over him and punish him in a severe way for something literally nobody else has been punished for.

It had reached midnight, the sun long gone and nearly everyone in the castle was asleep, except for three. Karl and Niki made their way to the teens room, which was at the opposite end of the castle.

"Are you sure the king’s asleep? They have been on edge as of late…” Niki said, walking alongside Karl. Karl nods, clutching the bag he always wore. 

“Yeah, checked and everything. He's out like a light.” 

Niki nods, sighing. “Thank god he sleeps on the other side of the castle. We'd be dead if he found out we were helping his kid like this.” 

Karl nods again, looking ahead at where they were going.

In the young teens room, everything was prepared for their expedition. They packed appropriate clothes to sneak around, fight and blend in with. They had food, tools/weapons, along with the letters, money, and the lmanburg page. They were ready and excited to embark on this adventure.

Niki quietly knocks on the door, opening it a crack. Seeing that (y/n) was alone, she walks in, followed by Karl who closes the door behind them. (y/n) sighed, thankful it wasnt Eret. 

“So, you know the plan?” they ask. 

Niki nods, holding onto her own bag. 

"Okay, I'm staying behind to tell the king you two went on a camping trip for the next year or so. Somewhere in the middle of the woods where he can't check in to see where you are." Karl says to the two of them. 

"Thank you again Karl for doing that. " (y/n) says, leading Niki to their window. "Niki, you know enough of the plan right?" They asked, grabbing the ladder they had in case they ever needed to escape. 

"Yeah. We're heading to Tommy’s castle first right?" She asked, watching as (y/n) opened their window. A soft breeze entered the room. 

"Yep! Then we'll try to find Tubbo. Ready?" (y/n) said, hooking the ladder to the window and throwing it out the castle, trying to not make a noise. 

(y/n) looked down. It wasn't too high up, but it was still a bit scary. They looked back at the two servants, nodding. “Karl, when we reach the ground, bring the ladder back up and close the window. I'll go first. Again, thank you Karl, see you in a year!” with that, (y/n) climbed out the window onto the ladder. the two servants nodded, Niki going over to the window, watching the teen start to climb down the wobbly ladder. 

Once (y/n) got far enough down, they waved their hand for Niki to go after them. Niki smiled over at Karl. “It was nice meeting you, Karl.” she said, making the brunette smile as well. “It was! See you in a year Niki! Take care.” she nodded, grabbing her bag, making sure nothing was left behind. Once she saw everything was in check, she went down, following her new friend.

“Man, I should've worn a thicker sweater.” Niki said, finally reaching the ground. “Yeah, I should've checked before we left. Too late now though.” (y/n) responds, watching as the ladder slowly shrank back up into their room. The two of them waved at Karl, who smiled back at them. “Alright, where to go first? We can't just go straight to the tundra.” Niki said, watching as (y/n) looked around. It was still pretty dark out, so they hoped it wouldn't turn a day before they even left the castle grounds. “Well we need to find some transportation for when we exit the forest. Cant be going thru town, it's too early for that.'' Niki nodded, looking over at the forest. “Got any torches?” (y/n) asked the pinkett. Niki nodded, shuffling into her bag, pulling out an unlit torch and lighter. “Yep, need one?” (y/n) shook their heads. “Only one of us needs one for now, well just gotta stay close together. Let's go, we can't stay here forever.” (y/n) says, chuckling softly. “Of course! Let's go!”

The two of them entered the forest close to the castle, leaving it behind. (y/n) had no regrets, they knew they needed this, even if eret forbid them. Niki was excited, she hadn't gone on an adventure since she was small, so it was a nice change of pace.

“Yknow (y/n), we’ve never actually met properly before this. Only in passing.” she said, stepping over a thick tree root. (y/n) followed, nearly tripping. “Really? I didn't notice. Though, i was held up in my room for awhile there.” they said, looking at all the trees that encased the two of them. No matter how many years go by, they still found nature to be beautiful. “Yeah, I did become one of the king's cooks when you were 16, not too long ago.” she said,pulling a branch up for (y/n) to walk past. “Oh thank you. What were you doing before then? Before you started working for my dad.” Niki thought for a second before answering. 

“Well, i was only 18 when he hired me, so i was doing what any kid did at that time. For a while I took up gardening, growing many types of flowers, though they all ended up dying after a while.” she said. (y/n) stopped, noticing the forest was ending. “i did gardening as well when i was young child. Made many flower crowns and such with them.” Niki gasped excitedly at this. “Maybe we can make flower crowns together!! I haven't done it in so long..” (y/n) smiled. ‘Of course we can! We have a whole year after all!” they laughed together, looking out at the forest in front of them. “God I hope your mom doesn't fire me when this is all over…” (y/n) looks over at Niki, giving her a reassuring smile. “Well good thing I'll be the ruler when we get back. You're not getting fired on my watch.” Niki smiled at this. “Thank you (y/n)...should we go now?” (y/n) nodded, looking ahead once more.

The two of them continue to walk, leaving the small forest behind. “Okay, we should be in a farm area. The houses are spaced out so no one should see us. Should take a half hour to an hour to get through. There should be a train station after that. It'll take us to the arctic kingdom." Niki nodded, grabbing some bread from her bag. "Bread?" (Y/n) shook their heads, declining. "I ate before we left. Thanks tho." 

They both walked through the field, the torches flame flickering as they walked. There were no monsters around, since there hadn't been any around the area in 100s of years. They were safe. 

Niki looked at some of the farmland, noticing they had to walk through some of it. (Y/n) noticed it as well. "How do we get through there? They'll notice someone was here in the morning." (Y/n) said, not completely knowing how to get by. "Got any ender pearls?"  

(y/n) thought for a second, looking in their bag for some. “Oh, looks like I do! Got a bag full of ‘em.'' They hand some to Niki, who throws it over the larger field, hoping to get over without touching the wheat. (y/n) followed, both of them successfully getting across the farm.

“I am so glad that worked.” (y/n) said, putting the pearls back in their bag. Niki nodded, sighing. “Is the trans station past those trees?” she asked, pointing towards the small strip of trees not too far ahead of them. “Yeah, behind there's the train station. An old friend of mine runs it. Lets go!” 

The two of them basically run across the field, not wanting to waste a second of their time. The sun would rise at any moment, and they really wanted to get out of town before it rose. 

They had reached the trees, their original torch being burnt out from all the running. Niki grabbed and lit another, the two of them heading into the small patch of trees to the train station.

The station wasn't too much to brag about, a boring old timey train station was all it was. There was no train in sight, making the (h/c) haired teen sigh. “Damnit, the train might not be here for another several hours.” they said, heading up to the platform. Niki followed, smiling slightly. “Could be worse. Not sure how much worse but it could be worse.” 

The two of them sat at a random bench in the area, looking at the map (y/n) had packed.

“So the kingdom is all the way over there, which is about 6 hours by foot. Taking the train would be around the same pass but we wouldn't be out in the open.” (y/n) says, pointing their finger along the route they need to take. “Is there a way to get there any faster?” (y/n) shrugged, looking over the map. “We could either go through the towns and such, or we could get some horses and get there that way. Wouldn't know how to get any of those, they're kinda rare in this area.'' Niki nodded, thinking for a second.

Both of their thoughts were cut off by someone's cheery voice. “Hello! It's been a long time, hasn't it (y/n)?” They looked over to see their old friend, Jack Manifold, approaching the two of them. (y/n) smiled, standing up and walking over to the said man. “Eyyyy Manifold! Good to see ya!” The two of them hug, separating soon after. (y/n) looked over at Niki. “Hey, have you met Niki?” Niki smiled, putting the map in her bag, standing up as well. “Indeed i have! To be fair, it was a brief interaction. “Nice to see ya, Niki.” 

She nodded. “Nice to see you too, Jack.” (y/n) smiled, looking back over at Jack.

"Jack, we need to get to the arctic kingdom, do you know when the trains coming back?" They asked the slightly smarter man. He nodded. "Won't be coming back till noon today. I'm just here because I forgot something." (Y/n) looked up at the sky. It was getting lighter out. They sighed, looking back down at Jack. "We can't wait that long. Know any other way to get out of town fast?" 

"Well, I could lend you my horse. Most of the time he just sits here and cry's." I looked at Niki, who seemed to be pleased with the offer. "Mind if we take him? We'll return him at some point obviously." Jack nodded, starting to go around the train station. "I'll be in the arctic kingdom a day or so from now, so you can return him then!" We follow Jack behind the station, where his horse sat tied up while eating some grass. 

"His name is thunder, good lad. Constantly sad tho." Jack unties the reins from the pole, handing them to Niki. "Say, what's your trip for anyway?"  Jack asked the two of them. (Y/n) answered. "We're going to see prince Tommy to recruit him to a project we're working on. Top secret stuff man." Jack nodded. "Seems fun. Might join you if I feel like it. Well, have fun you two." They nodded, Niki getting onto the horse and bringing him to the front of the station. "Oh, by the way. You can't tell anyone I was here, at least for the reason I am here. I know I've asked for a lot but if anyone asked, can you tell them I went camping somewhere in the woods?" 

Jack nodded, smiling at the teen. "It's fine, secret adventures are cool anyway. I'll keep your secret, now grab your stuff and have fun on your journey." They smiled, hugging the male. "Thanks Jack, I'll repay you eventually." They say while letting go of their friend. 

He nodded. "Anytime (y/n). Now go, Niki’s waiting." They nodded, running off to the front of the station. They spotted Niki on thunder, who held all our bags. I looked up at her. "You know how to ride a horse?" They asked, trying to get up onto the horse. Niki giggled, helping them up. "Yeah, I was taught when I was younger. Come on, gotta get out of here before the sun rises right?" (Y/n) smiled, latching onto Niki lightly, so as to not fall off. 

"Yeah, lets go!" They took off, running along the tracks. The sun rose as they went, turning the sky into a pinkish color. 

Niki slowed the horse down a bit, staring at the beautiful sky. "I love the sunrise…" (y/n) hummed in agreement, resting their head on Niki’s shoulder. 

"I haven't seen it in awhile. Always amazes me." Niki nodded, smiling softly. "Should we continue or just watch the sunrise?" (Y/n) chuckled, lifting their head off the woman's shoulder. "We should go. Maybe we could watch the sunrise tomorrow. 

Niki nodded, returning the horse to his original pace. 

They left towards a small path in the forest, leaving towards the arctic kingdom where they'll hopefully find the first person they need to reach.

ur post abt Beefy lwj is so true and in my personal opinion wwx totally thought nmj was hot. he's already an unreliable narrator u cant tell me him saying nmj had a build men envied or however it went wasnt him subconsciously being like 👁👁😳 wwx just wants to be carried in his big strong husbands arms and it's what he deserves!!!

look nhs and wwx can't be best friend if they don't have the whole 'oh shit your older brother is so hot and i kinda have crush on him/ew no dont you dare' thing going on. it's the rules. the law even. nhs may not like it but wwx is very much enjoying it (it being the view lmao).

so 15 y/o nhs really thought he hit the jackpot when he befriended wwx. like the guy was cheerful, clever, talented, (had really good taste in books), and didn't really force nhs to,,, perform. sure he drags nhs around and makes him do stuff, pushes him out of his comfort zone sometimes, and kinda expected nhs not to be a complete dud (nvm that it was only ever in areas where nhs wasn't actually a dud),, but wwx never made nhs do any of the things the rest of the cultivation world tried to make him do,, wwx never tried to force him to fight more or to develop his cultivation or to be more useful. and nhs loved that about him, wwx was The Greatest Friend Ever,,,,, at least until nmj came over.

why do nhs and wwx see nmj? idk,, does it matter? whatever the reason, nhs sees his brother stomping through cloud recesses one day and immediately whirls wwx around to face his brother while ducking behind him. safely hidden, he whispers to wwx to tell him when nmj is gone. wwx just makes a strange noise in response. given that his friend isn't exactly bad with words, nhs leans over to glance up at his friend and sees that wwx has gone bright red. oh no, nhs thinks to himself.

he'd known that wwx ahem "admired the male form in its peak physical state" or whatever the fuck he used to justify the way he blushed at the sight of lwj doing push ups but nhs hadn't realise that would extend to nmj. his brother isn't flexing or fighting or doing anything to show off his muscles but wwx has a weakness and nmj's strength is,, his strength,,, he doesn't need to flex to have the perfect male form. his brother simply embodies wwx's taste in men far too well to be allowed to continue,,, and, given that wwx probably won't stop being attracted to buff dudes and nmj won't stop being buff, the only choice is to keep them far away from each other.

and like the strategy works really well!! wwx is mostly too distracted with lwj, who is also starting to get buffer for some random reason, and nmj just assumes that nhs is avoiding him bc he did something wrong or just doesn't want another lecture on,,, something. there are a few times when wwx comes over to nhs and says stuff like hey nie-xiong do you know what your brother's work out routine is? and nhs is just squinting at him because he's not sure whether wwx is still convinced that his interest in buff dudes is because he wants to be buff and is just admiring 'what any man would nie-xiong really' because he's 'not a coward who can't respect another man's form bc beauty comes in all forms so don't be so close-minded' or whether he finally figured out that it wasn't a friendly admiration/academic interest/????? and just wants to watch his brother train sometime. tentatively, he tells wwx that he'll ask (which he won't because he knows that nmj admires wwx as a cultivator already and will want to spar with him sometime if he mentions wwx and nhs does not want that to happen). he does however end up extending an invitation to come visit him in qinghe before wwx is unceremoniously booted from the lectures, deciding that his friendship with wwx is more important than his fear of wwx's crush on nmj.

but then the ssc happens and wwx doesn't really manage to come visit for fun and by the time nhs sees him again his reputation has been torn apart and reconstructed into something wholly unpleasant. he's no longer wwx the talented head disciple of the yunmeng jiang sect, instead their terrifying weapon and a loose cannon on the best of days. he's using demonic cultivation and even when he isn't stalking around the camps like a caged tiger, glaring at anyone who stares at him for too long and arrogantly disregarding lwj's attentions like he's no one important, the very air around wwx is seeped with that sense of wrongness and danger that he's covered himself with. being nhs, he makes sure to keep a distance from the war efforts so he only sees wwx every once in a while, and every time he does it seems as if the man is getting more terrifying and wrong.

and when the war ends and peace theoretically settles back into the cultivation world, nhs still doesn't see wwx much - wwx is busy with his duties in yunmeng, nmj doesn't seem particularly endeared by wwx anymore and nhs isn't sure whether he'd even be seeing his friend if he asked wwx to hang out. he's simply changed too much. at least that's what nhs thinks until there's a sect meeting and he sees wwx walk into a door because nmj was asked to help lift a table.

(and then lwj sees that wwx is in the room and makes sure to step in to lift the rest of the tables and wwx is off like a shot to his side to,,,, nhs honestly doesn't even know what he's doing but he's doing it)
