A meal to remember 2 —an AMC IWTV fan event

A weekend-long event to show appreciation and support for the fandom creators that you love!

Starting Friday, March 1st, this event is dedicated to showing love to your favorite fandom creators and sharing your recommendations with other fans. How? 

You can share the post from the creator’s account, leave a comment or reply, make a post for each of your favorite fanworks, or curate a masterlist with your recommendations —among other things. Your support can be a heart emoji, a simple "I love this!", or a whole review of your favorite piece. In any case, you'll no doubt be making a fan’s day. 

You might even decide to create a playlist inspired by your favorite fic, write a fic based on a beloved drawing, or make an edit using quotes from a meta post that blew your mind, just to give you some ideas. Translations and podfics are also a great way to support writers (but you’ll want to check with the author first)! For these, as well as any derived fanworks inspired by this event, we've created a collection on AO3 ►

Day 8: rec a fic that was recced to you

📚 The Bolthole by aideomai, Tepre and GallaPlacidia

Draco/Harry, 54k, E

Summary:

Harry is a hoarder, Draco is grief-stricken, and both are capable human adults who can definitely spend a month in a cottage in the Cotswolds together without ever talking about the time they slept together in eighth year. Yeah, no, totally.

Lil story time to kick things off so I can properly convey how excited I am to rec you this fic! Here goes: I was freshly after reading Tepre’s Grounds for Divorce (which made me want board first plane to Luxor) and aideomai’s Far From the Tree (the way I screamed when I realised the final twist) when @sitp-recs reblogged the post with @haxkattpress’s georgeous bind for The Bolthole. Coincidentally, I was also in my Gallapod era at the time (and what an era that was 😭) so just now please take a minute to imagine just how exactly the stars have aligned for my poor fangirling heart at the time when I realised there’s a podfic of The Bolthole narrated by no other than Galla herself, who has co-authored this story IT’S JUST THAT AO3 DOES NOT SAY THAT because Galla went and became a successful published writer. How rude of her :D

So that was more of an inspiration than a rec? But hey, is there a better rec than taking your time and money to create a piece for the text? 🤍

About the story

First things first for us non-native speakers of English:

In this fic Draco escapes London to Harry's cottage in Gloucestershire, where the authors invite us to spend 50k words with them. There is a Major Misunderstanding™ theme which is very enjoyable indeed and the prose is, of course, exquisite.

Still, this fic's best feature in my opinion is how it tells the story of heartbroken, guilt-ridden characters and how they slowly heal. Oh, the way this story has broken my heart into a hundred pieces, only to put it back again in the most delicious way!

Exibit A: Harry has never had the opportunity to actually own much possesions so once he can have his own things he gets so lost in owning stuff that it gets completly out of control. . Draco helps him to get it a bit less out of control and I love it for them. I symphasize with this character so much, because I myself am very attached to objects: I like how they remind me of things, I like how pretty they are and I like having them in my own version of order (which is far from the typical understanding of tidiness, or so my husband keeps telling me 😅).

Exibit B: Draco has lost an OC parental figure and isn’t coping very well. (Harry is not great company at the time either but he is some company and the change of scenery helps Draco manage his grief and I love it for them as well.) The way Harry’s mental state is painted by his house. The contrast of Draco’s need to organize his sourroundings for comfort while Harry needs them to stay just the way they are.

And don’t even get me started on the cupboard under the stairs. Which Harry has barricaded. So Draco just took a crowbar and a hammer and kicked the door open. Which is such a beautiful metaphor for what he actually does here: literally stripping down the walls Harry has created around himself and one box after another makes an order out of Harry’s life.

All the while the feelings between the boys boil, the tension grows. Just look at the emotions in the scene when Draco realizes what the cupboard symbolizes to Harry:

“It’s only a cupboard,” he said. “It can’t hurt you.” Harry looked up at him, then. His eyes were blood-shot. He wasn’t upset, or angry: this one, Draco knew. This one was despair. He’d tried to board something up and the damn thing wouldn’t stay closed. “Ah,” said Draco, delicately. He knew his own despair was self-indulgent, ridiculous, but somehow it seemed wrong to suggest that the same was true of Harry’s. He wasn’t like Ron and Hermione, he couldn’t call Harry out, his instincts were all wrong, and he couldn’t leave him alone, either. He’d never had the knack for that. He took two faltering steps forward and went to his knees before Harry. “I see,” he said, and almost touched Harry—hands hovering. “One of those rare, malignant cupboards. The ones that can hurt you.” Harry’s eyes dropped to the ground, such a small movement, and yet so desperately, so horribly hopeless that Draco was overwhelmed with the dizzying rush of wanting to soothe, to take away all bad things. He couldn’t help himself: he took Harry’s face in his hands. “No, Harry,” he said. “You can’t be this sad. You’re supposed to be angry at me, not sad, this is not the right reaction at all.” And Harry, with a bad failed attempt at a smile: “I’m trying.” “Try harder ,” Draco said, and his hands were moving: over Harry’s face, his neck, restless. To his knees, squeezing him. “You see,” he said, and now his voice shook. “You see, if you keep on being so sad I won’t have any choice but to make violent love to you. It’s really the only option; I don’t make the rules.”

Spoiler: They do make violent love later on. It’s amazing. The intimacy between them and the power dynamics is just so ... I don't actually have words. I’m pretty sure I will remember this one particular scene for a long time (IYKYK😅). If you are into gentle D/s relationships, you are going to melt. Just like Draco did.

To sum up – an amazing read, a gorgeous listen, 12/10. I've put a few quotes under the cut for your heartbreak enjoyment.

That night at the cottage, he found an old desk in the shed, and broke it to use the pieces to board up the cupboard under the stairs. He knew, while he was doing it, how mad he must seem—how mad he was. But the only thought he had was, it’s too small and nothing should be in a place so small. Not boxes, or pets, or food for the pets, or food at all, or anything alive. Not children. Especially not children.

“Sometimes you need a push,” Draco snapped, looking up. “Instead of a request.” 

That’s what Draco says which I personally hate because I can’t stand other people enforcing their ideas on my order of things (my skin literally crawls as I write these words) but let’s face it – sometimes you do need a push. So then Draco reorganizes the cupboard (oh and almost dies) and it is a breaking point for Harry.

This is terrible,” said Draco into his mug. “Yeah,” said Harry. “Wait. The tea?” “No,” said Draco. He looked at Harry. “This. D’you want to, I don’t know, should we punch each other, or something? Make it more normal?”

Sure, punch your way out of trouble, Steve Rogers would be proud 😅

“We’ve hung out before without punching each other,” said Harry. “It was fine, we had a nice time.” He meant the long, quiet nights in the eighth year common room, that last year in Hogwarts, with Hermione drowsing by the fire over a book and Ron teaching Draco chess—he was very bad at it—and Harry just sort of sitting with them, his whole head echoing with the resounding shock of peace. Sometimes when Ron went to the bathroom or to go make cocoa in the corner Neville had set up or to gently lift Hermione’s hair and sheepishly kiss the nape of her neck, Draco would wave Harry over to the chess board and say in a panicked whisper, “Fix it, Potter!” and Harry would inevitably give him bad advice. “Now you’ve done it,” Draco said, and once, “Well, at least he’s beating both of us now. At last, Harry and I are in the same boat.” It was the first time he’d ever called Harry by his first name.

Wait, have I already mentioned that Draco has a crush on Ron in this fic? In a bit platonic way, but anyway, it’s super cute:

In eighth year, Draco had been horrified to discover that he had a crush on Ron Weasley. His solution had been to flirt outrageously so that no one would ever suspect him. It had worked remarkably well.

FAQ

What counts as a mirror universe?

According to Fanlore, a mirror universe is any alternate universe which is a dark reflection (pun intended) of the original. Whether this is the mirror universe we see in the shows or in beta canon, or a completely new universe that is simply not as kind to our characters as the original is up to you. Keep in mind that this zine focuses on and embraces the more "evil" aspects of those universes.

What can I submit to the zine?

Writing (fic and poetry) and art (traditional or digital, including comics) can all be submitted. We don't accept manips, meta essays (essays written in-universe may be allowed), mood boards, or anything that can't be printed, such as vids and podfics. Fics must not exceed 25,000 words, though depending on quality and number of submissions we may choose more, shorter works over fewer, longer ones. There is no lower limit for writing. Art must be completed, which means no sketches. Traditional art should be scanned, 300p. Written files should be .docx or .pdf, and art files should be .png, .jpg or .tiff. Links to Google Docs are also accepted.

Is there anything I can't write about?

Despite this zine embracing and encouraging potentially controversial subject matters, there are a few things we won't accept. Generally speaking, though, unless you're writing nazi roleplay erotica (for example) we're not likely to reject your fic on subject matter alone.

What show/ship/characters does the zine focus on?

Ideally, all of them. We'd like for this to be an all-Trek zine. However, if we get an overwhelming majority of one series we may end up rejecting a single work from a different one, even if it normally would have gotten in, just to keep everything cohesive. Either way, we will not accept OC-centric works.

Can I submit a work that has been published somewhere else? e.g. AO3, another zine, ect.

No. We only accept new works.

Does my work need to be beta read before submission?

Preferably, yes. We will edit works which have been accepted and which require it. All works in the zine will match in editing style, though we'll try to keep the author's style intact.

If I submit multiple works, how many are likely to get in?

We would prefer to give as many creators an opportunity to participate as possible, but if there is room or your works are particularly fitting, we will include multiple.

Do I need experience to submit works?

No. We will gladly accept works from new creators.

Do I need to join the discord server to participate?

No. The server gives you easier access to the editor, granting quicker answers to any questions you may have, as well as general accountability and greater sense of community, but that is all.

How do you match fic and art?

Ideally, we will have some solid matches from the get-go. If necessary, we will ask submitters who have volunteered to pinch hit for fics with no art. Art with no matches will separate poems or end up on one of the covers.

Will there be merch?

Possibly.

After the zine is published, can I post my work to AO3/social media?

We reserve printing rights for six months after publication (the day printed zines will be shipped). After that, you may do with your work as you wish.

How much will the zine cost?

This depends on a number of factors. However, we will endeavour to keep the zine as cheap as possible. We cannot legally make money off of fanworks, nor do we wish to. A free pdf copy of the zine will be sent to everyone who has purchased a physical copy, and these digital copies will be available to purchase at a much discounted price.

Writing Self-Evaluation 2024

thank you @haztobegood for tagging me! (also, since i'm also a Podficcer, this isn't solely about writing and has some podfic stuff mixed into it)

1. Number of stories posted to AO3: 100! (as of today)

2. Word count posted for the year: 44,393 (plus 441 minutes in Podfics)

3. Fandoms I wrote for: One Direction (Band), Deadpool (All Media Types), Spider-Man (All Media Types), Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)

4. Pairings: Louis Tomlinson/Harry Styles, Peter Parker/Wade Wilson, Logan | Worst Wolverine/Wade Wilson

5. Story with the most: Kudos: tingling right from my head to my toes Bookmarks: Yesterday’s gone (it’ll be better than before) Comments: Yesterday’s gone (it’ll be better than before)

6. Work I’m most proud of (and why): i think it's actually tingling right from my head to my toes. i dug around my blog and found 'Writing Goals 2024' and one was to write for other fandoms (again). it took me almost all year, but i managed it!

7. Work I’m least proud of (and why): in some ways, i'm proud of all my works and thankful how they shaped me in their own way.

8. Share or describe a favourite review you received: this is not a specific review but i've had a couple people by now tell me how much they enjoy listening to my podfics (and how they find my voice soothing). that really means a lot and i'm happy people get that enjoyment out of my recordings

9. A time when writing was really, really hard: basically all year. i've been struggling a lot with writer's block and even though i was writing and posting, it felt like i lost my Spark™️.

10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: writing Logan (Worst Wolverine). beginning of the year i didn't even imagine to ever write Wade in another pairing besides SpideyPool but then i watched Deadpool & Wolverine and here we are XD

11. A favourite excerpt of your writing: this is from my fic for the @1daroaceficfest which i hold very close to my heart. i kinda hope that maybe some people remember that :)

“Not that it concerns anyone,” he started, a hard set to his mouth. “And I would really wish that people would start seeing actors as people and not just objects used like props in a film.” Harry took a deep breath, outwardly oddly calm for the way his heart was racing in the face of what he was about to do. “Furthermore, I’d like to remind everyone that some people don’t have sex. And while there can be different reasons for that, that only they and the people they choose to tell are privy to, in my case, it is because I am asexual. I don’t experience sexual attraction. And while I feel rather neutral towards sex, I still don’t have it. It’s just something I don’t experience. So please, the next time you want to ask someone about their sex life, stop for a second and ask yourself, do I really need to know this information, or am I just nosy? And then hopefully make the right decision.”

12. How did you grow as a writer this year: i like to think i kept a nice balance between trying to overcome my writer's block while also not forcing anything... and eventually found my Spark™️ again. i also got back into the SpideyPool/Marvel Fandom for which i ended up writing 3 fics.

13. How do you hope to grow next year: i really wanna try keep my Spark™️ and maybe even make it grow. also, i hope to actually plan out/write a longer fic again; i have so many amazing prompts that can't and don't deserve to get squeezed into 10K.

14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): massive, massive thanks goes to @harruandlou who patiently listened to me whine about my WB, kept encouraging me and celebrated with me, when i got back into the swing of things (and who supported me in pursues as a Podficcer!). i also wanna give a huge shout out to the Isn't It Bromantic? server and all those amazing people there (representative: @farmhandler @waterme-stories @babyboysnek)

15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: i don't think so? at least nothing i can think of top of my head...

16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: don't force anything. (especially in fanfic) writing is supposed to be fun. it's okay to take a break, focus on other hobbies for a while and every now and then poke at your brain to see if the motivation came back.

17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: as of right now, the only project i'm excited for is hosting the @1daroaceficfest for a second round!

your writing is familiar—do i know you from something else? i wrote haikyuu fanfiction (sakuatsu specifically) from 2020-2021 under the AO3 pseudonym astroeulogy.

what do you ship in one piece? i'm a multishipper, so i ship most things. if i see fan content for a ship and think it fucks, then i ship it (at least within the context of the thing i saw it in). if you have NOTPs in one piece, i generally recommend you not follow me; i'll always tag the individual characters, but i won't use ship tags unless the content is overtly romantic.

is it ok if i make [insert fanwork here] based on your fic? this is pretty much always going to be a huge YES from me!* fanart, podfic, translations, text posts, live read threads, etc. are all allowed for anything i write! all i ask is that you include credit to the original publication on AO3. beyond that, knock yourself out! and if you make anything based on my work, please send me a link—i LOVE seeing it!

hey Audrey! happy to see you back on my dash even with rwrb posts. I just saw your tags about the book club sort of event and it reminded me of all the events you blessed us with. i miss those days! hope you're doing better

Hey Nonny!

Yeah it me, disappearing for months and then coming back to reblog all the Red White and Royal Blue content. The movie made me feel things and I think it will go down in history as being a small step in me getting a little better, or at the very least as having given me a small bubble of air in the rest of what's been suffocating me.

Watched the movie several times, i won't divulge how many because uhhhh nope Been reminded once again about how I'm most probably on the gray-ace spectrum because seeing people thirsting over some of the scenes was again one of these times where i don't see things that way. to each their own. Went back to the book (though in audiobook form because i'm not there yet that i can actually ~read~ stuff, but hey the narrator of the audiobook is nice) Actually opened ao3 and listened to a podfic which was the one step i was trying to take for a while without having that one last push to do it. i am once again feeling very grateful for podficcers' art and their existence. It was nice to fill my head with things i actually enjoy instead of just numbing my brain with mindless reddit stories on youtube just to shut my thoughts.

For the rest, real life is impending doom, mental health is suffering and i'm barely hanging on by a very small thread. Basically... sort of drowning while i try to keep my daughter afloat. fun times all around.

Yeahhh the book club idea was a nice one, would have loved to make it happen back in the day but well. I haven't been around to check but i'm sure there are tons of events to keep fandom busy and happy. maybe one day i'll have the heart to check what's been done while i was away.

🤡 What’s a line, scene, or exchange you’ve written that made you laugh?

There's a few but there's this exchange I wrote back as part of Slices of Summer that always jumps to my mind first . “What happened? Why is there screaming?” Everyone spoke at once; Flynn continued her anger infused lecture. “Flynn tried to punch Reggie.” “I was just trying to say hello.” “I thought you told her we could go visible now?” “You do not just appear behind a person with no warning.” “Oh my god.” Julie groaned as she fell into the couch head in her hands. Her head shot right back up, “Wait, you tried to punch, Reggie?” Reggie’s nod shook his whole body as he gaped at Flynn. Flynn just glared back, her arms crossed. “What else am I supposed to do when a strange boy scares me?” Now, Reggie’s kicked puppy betrayal was tinged by a scowl. Luke pulled him back in order to hug him from behind, “I mean she is making some good points.” Reggie's face melted into a pout. “Agreed. I, too, find Reggie strange.” Alex chimed in through stifled laughter. Reggie threw his arms up in the air. “Juuules,” he whined as he threw his upper body face first onto the couch cushion beside her, kneeling on the floor. It reminded Julie a bit of that dramatic Disney princess meme she’d seen some time ago. Julie ran a hand through his hair, and gently dragged her nails across his scalp.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Oooh hmmm, that's a good one. Reggie is fun if I can get it right, as is Willie. But they have a humor and attitude that can be hard for me to properly capture at times. Alex is always cathartic since we both have anxiety but as tricky they are I probably got to say Flynn and Carrie have been some of my favs to write of late. The layers to the characters are fun to explore.

Clearly there could be no other reason for Willow to invite him. This is all set to be a simple, friendly combined dance and fight with a demonic entity that reads minds and conjures your worst fears into reality. No biggie.

Except with Boscha and her crew of bullies around and feeling braver than ever, this Grom might not be as simple as they all hoped. Especially when Hunter discovers that being the reincarnated container of hundreds of years of Golden Guards' fears is a bad thing to be around a fear demon.

A meal to remember 2 —an AMC IWTV fan event

A weekend-long event to show appreciation and support for the fandom creators that you love!

Starting Friday, March 1st, this event is dedicated to showing love to your favorite fandom creators and sharing your recommendations with other fans. How? 

You can share the post from the creator’s account, leave a comment or reply, make a post for each of your favorite fanworks, or curate a masterlist with your recommendations —among other things. Your support can be a heart emoji, a simple "I love this!", or a whole review of your favorite piece. In any case, you'll no doubt be making a fan’s day. 

You might even decide to create a playlist inspired by your favorite fic, write a fic based on a beloved drawing, or make an edit using quotes from a meta post that blew your mind, just to give you some ideas. Translations and podfics are also a great way to support writers (but you’ll want to check with the author first)! For these, as well as any derived fanworks inspired by this event, we've created a collection on AO3 ►

Lancaster week 2022

From  September 17, 2022, through September 23, 2022.

The rules. Alright, I want to make sure that they are clear. This is a fan week is for Lancaster (Ruby Rose & Jaune Arc). Which takes place in September. If you have early submissions, you can submit them to the blog, and they will be in the queue until September. I will not be accepting any submissions that are not Lancaster. No ploy ship fics or art will be accepted. If they aren’t the main focus, I know it sounds odd? But trust me, I got a few direct submissions last year that were not Lancaster at all, and I have to be thorough and transparent.

 Any and all submissions are accepted as long as those Jaune and ruby are the main characters. That includes fanfiction, fanart, fan comics, podfics, and more. If it’s those two, I want to see what you can come up with. Finally, try to follow the days prompt; there is some wiggle room for the submission. This is about celebrating this ship! Having fun and really reminding ourselves why we like these two dorks together! Remember to use the tag #Lancasterweek and add in @lancasterweek so I can reblog your work. You know Tumblr, the website is held together with glue sticks and bubblegum. So try to spread this post and make sure that all the shipper finds out and want to join. Remember the latest submission allowed is until October 8th.

This year because of everything that happened to me personally and as well to hopefully get more submissions than last year? I made a prompt list with alternative prompts; if you don’t like the initial one, you don’t have to do both. It’s an alternative options if you don’t like them.

Day 1.   Distance/ College AU: with distance, it’s either emotional, physical, or anything, everything in between the two. College is exactly how it sounds and how you write or draw this up to you.

Day 2.   Illusions/ Crossover Au: when I say illusion, I mean whether it’s a mirage, a place where you see illusions of things that aren’t real. A crossover with your favorite fandom outside RWBY.

Day 3.   Memories/ Telepathy AU: whether it’s memories of better times or reflecting on the past bittersweetly. Or thinking back on the memories of the past and realizing you could have done better or been better. Telepathy AU is almost self-explanatory 1; of the characters, maybe Ruby, maybe Jaune, has telepathy, and now I have to deal with it.

Day 4.   Mystery/ Deserted Island AU: mystery, whether it’s something they need to solve at each other, or anything you can come up with, I’m not gonna try to box in your creative. With royalty AU again, go ham. The Sky is the limit; just make sure that it’s about Lancaster. Considering where volume 9 is taking place on a strange island slash dimension ?

Day 5.   Secrets/ Switched Au: whether secrets from one another or secrets from the world. Switched au is that everything is mostly the same except everyone, but Weiss is now a Faunus of some kind.

Day 6.   Strength/ Blind Date AU: whether in the strength of character, the strength of minder, strength of will or strength of heart, or physical strength, we want to be technical. Blind AU sounds as easy as it stated because it is someone sets one of the two dorks up on a blind date, hilarity can ensue, sweetness can ensue; it is up to you

Day 7.   Truth/ Body Swap AU: the truth about a big secret truth about themselves or just a truth that they feel is true about themselves. Sky’s the limit on what you wanna do. Body swap au is as obvious as it sounds; what you do with that is up to you!

“Superman has type 1 diabetes,” Clark corrects. “If it’s a vote, I would also love to go home now.”

The Batman scowls. “You are not flying anywhere on your own with low blood glucose.”

Clark pretends it’s his super hearing that allows him to hear the unsaid, “Idiot,” following the rest of the sentence.

“Hold on,” Aquaman says. “How the hell does Superman get diabetes?”

Or: After defeating Steppenwolf, Clark and Barry have to deal with low blood sugar. The team is shocked to discover Clark’s not as invulnerable as the world thinks. T1D!Clark Kent and hypoglycemic!Barry Allen.

Every eye in the courtyard turned toward Zuko, who reminded himself that nothing was scarier than Azula, and he had already dealt with her. Unsurprisingly, that reassured him enough to not stumble as he rose to his feet.

“Citizens of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom,” he started. Then he stopped.  

Briefly, the world spun and Zuko forgot where he was. He blinked. Instead of the raised podium he, Aang, King Kuei, and the other presiding nobles had been sitting in all morning, Zuko found himself standing in front of a small, elderly Fire Nation woman holding out a glass of Watermelon juice.  

“I said that’ll be three copper pieces,” she said.  

Zuko frowned. “Who are you?”

Or: Soulmates switch bodies for 16 minutes when the younger one turns sixteen. In all the hullabaloo of ending the war, everyone forgot it was Sokka’s birthday. He and Zuko swap bodies just as Zuko has to give an important speech and Sokka’s blood sugar runs low. T1D! Sokka. Post-canon.

Summary:

Jason Grace wakes up with no memory, a chronic illness, and the unsettling knowledge that everything is wrong.

When he’s taken to Camp Half-Blood, he hopes for answers; instead, he comes to realize that although the campers love the mysteriously missing Percy Jackson, they think Jason shouldn’t exist. But Jason’s disturbing kinship with the air and tendency for spontaneous electrical surges aren’t the only things to worry about.

Told in second person POV, Lost is a mostly canon-compliant character study focused on Jason and his powers during The Lost Hero. What are you supposed to do when your instincts tell you to trust no one?

I always find this challenge difficult, because I'm one of those people who doesn't like to just ask for things without offering something in return. However, if you're like me, then you can go browse other people's posts, and manifest some reciprocity. Or! You can post your list like a normal person who doesn't have so many darn hang ups.

In your own space, make a list of things that you wish existed in fandom or elsewhere, and/or that you'd like someone to create or do for you. Leave a comment in today’s post at The Fandom Snowflake Challenge on DW saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

A general guideline might be a list of three things, or one to ten things, but it can really be any number or length you want.

Your wish list items can be anything: a request for fanworks (art of your original character, podfic of your favourite story, a mood board of your AU idea, fic based on your art, someone to adopt that darn plotbunny), or for a some help with a project (cheerleader, beta reader, accountability buddy, someone to co-mod a challenge), or maybe you want recs for new canons or fic with just the right trope, or specific information about that one area you're having trouble researching.

(Note: If you would like artwork or podfic, please include a link to your story/podfic/fanmix. If you've requested podfic for someone else's work, ditto, and also make sure they've posted a permission statement. For me, the most fun part of this challenge is looking at everyone else's lists and seeing the variety of fandoms, desires, projects on the go and things you might be able to help with. If you end up granting someone's wish, consider posting a link here, and maybe add it to our a AO3 collection.
