A/n: Bare with me, ik it starts as a repeat of the Good ending. But I really thought it would be a cool way to implement the game's ideas of choices affecting the game. Also don't know how I feel about this ending. But Imma leave it.

Sometimes you still think about that night. You felt like Beth and Hannah were like sisters to you. You visited their house often for breakfast and dinner, so it really hurt what happened. You couldn’t even imagine how Josh felt. You still feel somewhat responsible, maybe if you hadn't been taking care of Josh that night things would have been different. 

They both knew you liked their brother. If anything they were the only ones who tried to get you together. They were the ones who set drunk Josh down on the same couch as you. You were so focused on playing with his hair and drawing lines on his face with your fingers. You even confused your feelings to him. You thought he heard you when he mumbled your name in his sleep. 

But then they went missing and Josh cut off you and everyone else. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t hurt but what else could you do. He was mourning. 

You were a little surprised though at the invite you got. But still happy, you really hoped that he was doing somewhat better. 

When you got there it was like he was the same Josh, he didn’t look like he was mourning. He acted the same way. He still made his same flirtatious comments. He was still that boy next door kind of guy. 

He had noticed that you got cold, so he walked over with a blanket. You were about to take it when he opened it and wrapped you with the blanket. You looked up at him, a bit corny but looking into his eyes just made you feel like kissing him. 

And you feel like he noticed too, why else would he clear his throat and walk away. You felt a little disappointed. But you thought it was a good time to talk to him. You sat down next to him while he was crouching trying to light the fire. You weren’t alone so you just spoke softly so only he could hear.

“I’m really sorry for what happened Josh. I really loved Hannah and Beth. I still miss going over to your house on Sundays and eating breakfast with you guys. I really regret that day, I should have been with Hannah that day. But I was so focused on taking care of you that I just didn’t- I didn’t think about what could happen.”

You looked up and saw him looking at you. “Thank you. I appreciate that Y/n.” 

You were about to say something when Chris interrupted, “What am I missing?” 

You rolled your eyes before looking at Chris who was crouched coming in between the two of you. 

“Everything, we just had full blown sex right now. How'd you miss it?” Josh turned slightly to look at Chris.

“Come on, you'll be fine.” Josh’s words didn’t exactly help but you still hesitated to get up.

You both stood at the entrance of the basement. “Oh fuck no. I’m not going down there.” 

You didn’t budge, “What you scared?” Josh smirked. 

“Yes actually. Haven’t you ever seen scary movies Josh. People die in basements. There are ghosts and shit down there, psycho’s who are waiting for people to have sex. People get kidnapped and locked in basements.” 

“You tryin to have sex?” He raised an eyebrow.. 

You glare at him, “Sure buddy. Let’s have sex all you want.” 

He pumps his fist, “Yes.” He sees that you still aren't moving. 

“Alright. Here.” He holds out his arm for you. 

“Come on. Just hold onto me.” You hesitated, “Trust me, if there was anything in there I’d protect you.”

After watching Josh fix the boiler he asks for your help. “Alright turn that switch there.”

You backed up into Josh. His hands landed on your hips keeping you close. You felt him lean down and talk in your ear. 

“That could be a lot of things. But what I’m focused on is the fact you called me a what was it again? A sex god?” 

“I'm serious Josh, what was that?” He could tell that you were actually scared. 

His voice was soft, “Hey don’t worry about it. I’m here. Let me just grab the flash light and we’ll go.” 

There was another noise and you couldn’t feel him behind you anymore. “Josh, I really want to get out of here. Can we please go now?” 

You turned around and couldn’t find him. There was noise like someone was struggling and then a thud on the floor. All you could see was a hand and Josh's flannel. 

You looked up from the body to see a man in a mask. You were frozen, hoping that if you didn’t move he wouldn't see you. But he did, he started making his way over towards you. 

You ran but you couldn’t remember the way out of there. It didn’t take long before the masked man got to you. He wrapped his arms around your waist and put a cloth over your mouth. You could feel yourself slipping in and out of consciousness. 

Josh had grabbed the flashlight and found his way back to where he had left you. “Y/n?”

Josh heard footsteps but they weren’t yours. It was Chris

“Hey where is Y/n? Didn’t she come down with you?” 

“Yeah. But she heard a noise and it freaked her out. She probably just left back upstairs.”

Your body ached. Your head was pounding. You tried moving but you felt your hands and legs tied to something. 

“What the fuck.” You tried to wiggle your way out, “What the fuck.” You felt tears start to build up. 

“Help!” You screamed but it felt like you weren’t loud enough. “Help!” 

You started to look around the room to see if there was anything to help you escape. All there was were tvs. You looked closer and saw they were recordings of Josh’s place. There was one screen that caught your eye. It was Ashely, Chris and Josh. Only Ashely and Josh were tied up. And Chris, he turned a switch. You turned away before you could see it but the sound was horrific. All you could hear were Josh’s screams as he got cut in half. You began sobbing at this point. 

“Help!” Your cries were desperate at this point. 

You couldn’t tell how much time had passed since you saw that video but you grew tired of screaming. No one was going to help you. You didn’t even know where you were. 

The door swung open, you watched as the man who took you came in. He slammed the door behind him. 

“Who the fuck does he think he is? First he says that stupid shit to me. And then he picks Ashely over me? That just proves where his loyalties fucking lies. To his fucking dick. I fucking knew it. You knew he would have fucked you right? If he had the chance he would have. It doesn’t even matter that I’m his best friend. He knows I love you. But he would do it if he could, if you gave him the green light he would. And Ashely is just his second option if he can’t get you. I’ve seen the way he looks at you. Ever since High School, it didn’t even matter that I met you first. That we did almost everything together. What a fucking liar.” 

You felt like you had been holding your breath. You were confused about what was going on. On who this person was. 

But then he took off the mask. He got on his knees in front of you. “You have to thank me for that. You will, right? I saved you from having to deal with him. I showed you who he really was. I had to protect you. Who knows what he would have done to you.” 

You flinched when he placed his hands on your thighs. “Josh.” Tears started to pour down your eyes again. “Josh, what's going on? What did you do? Where am I Josh?” 

“It’s okay, you don’t have to cry. I told you I’d keep you safe.” He placed his hand on your face and wiped a tear away. 

“Josh, I saw you die. What the fuck was that. How-how are you still alive? How do I know you're real? How do I know I’m not going crazy? I can’t even feel you. Josh please, please just untie me. Josh please. I don’t like this.” 

“I can’t.” He stood up and walked over to the tvs. “I’m not done.” 

“Done with what?” 

“You’ll see. Just stay here. You’ll be fine. I’ll come get you when it’s over.” He puts his mask back on. 

“Josh, please you can’t leave me in here.” You could tell he hesitated for a moment before walking out and locking the door. 

You had time to think about what could be happening. You remembered Hannah calling you crying one night. She talked about Josh had stopped taking his meds and got committed to the hospital. You remembered the day she called you and told you he got out. Whatever was happening had to do with that. 

You don’t know how long it had been. Maybe three hours or four. That was when he came back. Only he was hurt, you could see the blood coming from his shoulder. He started to take off his shirt and winced at the pain. 

“Josh what happened.” 

“Nothing.” 

“Joshua I swear to god. Get me out of this chair and tell me what happened now.” 

“I can't, you'll try and leave. And I’ll have to put you to sleep again.”

“Then lock the door. Josh please just untie me. I need you to tell me what's going on.” You watched as he locked the door before making his way over towards you. He untied your feet before your hands. He watched as you stood up. 

He stayed kneeling, he looked up at you. He wrapped his arms around you, his head against your stomach. “I can’t tell if you’re real or not. How do I know if you’re real?”

“You stopped taking your meds, haven't you?” You ran your hands through his hair. You know you should have been upset with him. He did lock you up, but you also know that that's not him. Not really, it was just his meds, he just needed help was all. 

He looked up at you. “How do you know about that? I haven’t told anyone.” 

You pull away from him and kneel down to him, you cup his face. “Hannah told me a while back. She told me you got committed, that you stopped taking your antidepressants and that when you got back you felt better.” 

“They weren’t working. I kept seeing things. I kept hearing things.” 

“That’s okay. I know you are upset at them Josh. But please, you can’t keep doing this. We need to get you help. We can switch psychiatrists, if you want.” 

“No. No!” He got up and moved away from you. 

“Josh please.” You tried to console him. 

“No. I’m tired of being medicated. I don’t like it.” 

“I understand that Josh but this isn’t okay. I understand your reasoning but locking people up and terrorizing them isn't okay.” 

“So it was okay for them?” He began to shout.

I got bored and have now decided how Episode 2 of Season 8 should go. (This is on the hopeful assumption that Gerrard will only last about 3 episodes).

Yay, Ravi saves the day. And then we get a cute look between Ravi and Eddie because I really want them as friends. 

(Also side note, Athena and Harry are similar to Eddie and Chris, I really hope Athena and Eddie get a conversation about how to deal when your child doesn’t trust you as much and blames you for things, especially since I hope Athena regrets hitting Harry). 

STOP I LOVE THIS ravi saving the day not only as a poc character but as a character who, like you said, originally started out not wanting to be a part of the 118 would be such a great way to usher him in as a main cast member to solidify his place (keep manifesting for ravi main yall 🙏🙏) AND we get more landlord ravi shenanigans (ik it’s one of the more crack elements of the show but ravi being a landlord kills me)

and i agree athena and hen both know what eddie’s going through having to watch a child leave and (athena w harry and hen w both nia and mara) so him having that support would create such interesting dynamics… (even karen too bc i need more eddie & karen friendship moments pls and thank you) i also think athena being able to have a conversation with him about letting go of a romantic partner after losing them suddenly would be so beneficial to eddie too, AND the complexity of her relationship with michael as well could provide some context to eddie’s feelings that he may not have realized before (*cough cough* queer eddie *cough cough*👀👀👀)

During the day you and the boys got around to a load of crap. You were running around the small room and playing games on your new phone and each other's laptops. You were currently sitting with Niall and Harry on your bunk playing Super Mario. You were squished between them as they watched you play your turn. The three of you were definitely the closest to each other. It was all mutual how you got along. Niall and Harry were just as close with each other as you were with each of them.

“How do you manage to win everytime?” Niall groaned as Harry added another tally to the winners board under your name. “I'm just better than you guys.” you shrugged jokingly and they both attacked you by tickling you until you all laying on the floor laughing.

“Oi!” Liam you thought. “We’ve got to be ready soon to get to the arena and your messing around. Does anyone know where Louis is?” He questioned walking back out of the shared room. You, Niall, and Harry all looked at each other before breaking out into laughter. “I guess LIam does have a point though.” you admitted getting up and checking your phone for the time. 

“Oh yeah, we have move quickly!” you panicked sending the other two into a frenzy as well.

“Let's welcome out the Judges and the contestants.” Everyone cheered as the contestants and their judges came out. You were holding hands with Harry as you stood waiting for the results. 

“Okay, it’s time for the final results.” Dermot really had a way of laying it on thick and it was sending your anxiety through the roof. “So, two acts will be leaving the competition tonight heres how its going to work. I'm now going to reveal which 13 acts are safe and the act with the lowest public voting will then leave the competition immediately, and the 2 remaining acts will compete in the final showdown. Goodluck.”

“In no particular order these are the acts that we will see next week…”

8 acts had already made it through and the band's name still hadn't been called. “The 9th act through…”

Time seemed to stop when the bands name wasn’t called. It seemed the air was stolen from the whole group, and it continued to be drawn out when the 10th act was called, and the 11th.

The world must have sensed that you were all struggling to breathe and gave you the freshest air when your name was called.

“The twelfth act through… One Direction.”

None of you had control of your bodies as you jumped around and hugged each other and Simon. You waved to some people still on stage shakily as you walked off with the boys jumping around you and when you were all backstage you all screamed and jumped around even more. “I was so scared.” you heard Liam say and you hugged tightly to which he hugged you back. “Christ, and that's just the beginning.” You muttered making everyone laugh.

“Hello everyone! This is Video Diary Week 2.” Harry spoke to the camera propped up at the end of the stairs. You were sat between him and Niall and resting your head against Harrys shoulder.

“We loved it. It was incredible as Autumn would say.” Zayn teased using the messy bun ontop of your head to move your head around. “And I think Liam wanted to say thank you to the fans.” Zayn passed on to Liam. “Yes. I just wanted to say thank you so so much-” everyone started messing with him as no one could take anything seriously. “Stop it!” he laughed trying to put his hair back in place. “Thank you everybody that voted for one direction.” he screamed through Nialls attacks on his hair. 

“We’re really excited to just be here and make it another week. Its gonna be a very big performance next and i hope you all ike it and vote for us again so.” You spoke softly as you were very sleepy.

“So last week we got some questions, so heres one from ‘eloise’. She wants to know which roles people play in the band.” Louis announced before turning to Liam. “Liam is the smart one. Harry is the flirt. Autumn is the sweet one. Zayn is vain. Niall is the funny one.” he finished and you looked at him funnily. 

“And Louis is the leader.” Harry pitched in. To which Louis agreed. “Im not all that sweet,” you protested. “I can be scary.” you tried for yourself which only opened a door for the boys.

“As scary as a bunny.” Louis commented first making the boys laugh and join in. “As scary as teddy bear.” Harry added on and you looked at him with fake hurt. “Or a ladybug.” Zayn pitched in from behind you squeezing your bun again. “Youre like a flower Auty.” Niall had the most sereness to his addition. “Yeah you remind me of cute little bow.” Liam added onto to niall and you just sat in the middle of them all nodding your head softly. “Honestly those were cute so ill take it.” you shrugged and leaned Niall. “See bug, not scary at all.” Zayn tapped you softly. “I have a feeling those nicknames are gonna catch on.” you muttered to Niall and he agreed as Liam continued questions. The question was for the boys as they went around answering what they liked in girl… and of course louis said something stupid…carrots?

“... wants to know what everyone's favourite song is?” Niall read the question, “well since Saturday mine is Viva La Vida.” Niall shared looking up to Zayn. “My favourite song has definitely got to be ‘Barbie Girl.” You giggled a bit and Zayn tickled your neck in response. “Uh, well my favourite is ‘Free Falling’ by John Mayor.” Harry went next and you all looked at Liam who looked at you. “Whats your favourite song then Bow?” he chuckled as he used the recent nickname. “Mine would be ‘Womanizer’ Britney Spears.” You looked back to Liam and when he said he couldnt think of one you all teased him about it. 

“Just think of something Liam.” You told him andhe just stuttered out different excuses while Louis just skipped him. “Okay well Liam clearly doesnt have one, but mine however is ‘Who let the dogs out.” You shook your head at him again this time taking the extra step to ruffle his hair. 

“We’re One Direction! See you all next week.”

honestly? it could've been worse.

lots of things happened in 2023, both good and bad, in real life and on this hellsite. i feel like i've started to hone in on my voice as a writer this year, and my creativity and motivation just seemed to skyrocket for absolutely no reason. it's been fun sharing my work with you guys, and i'm forever grateful for all the love and support i have received <3 furthermore, thank you so so much for 4k followers!!!!! i never thought i would reach such a milestone, so it truly means a lot :')

there's a lot i wish i could have done during 2023 that i didn't end up doing, but i think it is best to focus on what i did accomplish and use that as a stepping stone towards better things. also, there were a lot of times where i didn't feel content with where and who i was. right now, however, i can confidently say that i am happy; i am hoping that happiness will be abundant for everyone in 2024! we all deserve it!!

furthermore, everyone worked hard, so i hope you all give yourself some grace in order to recharge and reset. taking breaks is paramount in maintaining your health and happiness, and i'm glad i learned that it's okay for me to take them lol.

so happy new year everyone! i hope 2024 brings many wonderful things your way, and may we all have a lovely year!! <33

The requests: could you do a members (mainly Jihyo) prank the maknae by treating her like a small child/baby..ik they baby her as is but you could make the maknae all annoyed and stuff.

It is no secret to ONCE and TWICE themselves that the unnies are overprotective of their maknae. Especially, 3mix, also known as the mom line (lol). However, they woke up with that vibe that you get when you wanna annoy your sibling, in that case, Y/N. Even if the youngest is always enjoying the feeling of being pampered, her sisters know when they get to the line and today, they wanna cross it. The prank is meant to last the whole day, Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Jihyo got that idea from a ONCE that suggested it on a Vlive (Still can't get over the end of Vlives) they did coming back from a stage on their moms + maknae car. While you could be thinking that Y/N saw the comment, she wouldn't be able to, the unnies were on the front and she was on the last seat roll of the car laying down sleeping like the baby she is. And this cuteness always results in a thousand photos taken, some of them posted on her birthday cause, why not? The worst ones that become memes are usually provided by the maknae line and how could Y/N be mad when she does the same? It's only fair. Anyways- 

The youngest is the last to get up this morning and that's already rare but amazing for 3mix since they had time to prepare everything for the prank.

 Y/N - Morning unnies *yawns*

Jihyo - Hey baby, how are you doing?

Y/N - I'm okay, where are the other unnies? 

Nayeon - They went out, there's only the four of us now, why? Are we not enough? *pouts*

Meanwhile, Y/N can be seen still doing the kicked puppy look so her unnies take pity on her and she finally watches TV while eating for the first time in months. It's funny for her to think how she did this at home all the time before coming to Korea but in the dorms, she wasn't allowed by 3mix and that made her look spoiled, but she wasn't. (maybe just a little but she'll never admit it). 

After years (for Y/N ofc) they finally let her go to the sofa and they followed with a motherly smile on their faces as they noticed the skip on her steps. When they got there they remembered the prank and got to work.

Jeongyeon - Come cuddle honey

Y/N - Don't wanna...

Nayeon - Come here then... 

Y/N - Nooo, you're being to clingy today unnies

Jihyo - But you're our child, lay here with mama

Y/N - Fineeee 

Y/N goes to the other side of the sofa near the unnies and lands right in the middle, when she sits there and believes they find it enough she relaxes. But she let her guard down and Jihyo pulls her to her chest. The maknae layed there with an "oof-" and whined for the loss of her favourite moment on the TV show, Nayeon only cooed and stroked her hair. The others making sure she gets lots of cuddles. But, with time the youngest tried to get away and the unnies wouldn't let her, only laughing and telling her that a baby shouldn't be alone. This only made her more annoyed! With a huff, she goes out of the room pouting and complaining that the 3mix unnies are too much. (I'd love to be babied by 3mix but you do you girl, IG)

Her sisters felt bad and wrapped up the prank before the day finished, even if it was near the end 'cause they only wanted to annoy her a little but they could hear how frustrated she got with them. Opening the SMC room they found her sitting with her cell phone in hand, apparently texting on K-talk.

Jeongyeon - Kid... You know we love you

Y/N - I know, but why did you treat me like a baby all day? I'm a grown woman unnies

Nayeon - It was a prank pabo, we get that you want to be respected as who you are right now and to be seen as the mature girl we know you are. 

Jihyo - Yeah, we understand you cutie pie, but we'll always see you as the girl that we met when you we're only trainees, even if you are 70 years old. 

Y/N - Even then? Lol but you're gonna be grandmas!

Nayeon - YAH! You too, shut up.

---Dagur makes a suicide joke, Heather does not take it well.

!! Trigger Warnings for discussions of s/h and suicidal thoughts!!

Ik this is the episode everyone and their dog has made fanfics about but I do not care. I'm planning for 3 chapters, still unsure if I'm gonna go with good ending or bad ending. Everyone in this fic is or has been suicidal: This part is Dagur and Hiccup, next part will be with Heather and Dagur because I want this entire family to have issues, and the third part will touch on some other riders but for sure the twins.

"Hiccup Haddock, I cannot believe you kept my Heather from me! I was so worried; was she alive, was she dead; was she even okay?" Dagur whined, rubbing his jaw where Heather had hit him moments earlier.

Hiccup did not get a chance to respond before Heather asked, "How could you bring him here?" She pointed at Dagur with her axe. "Did you forget all the horrible things he's done to me, to all of us?!"

"No Heather, but he saved my life and Toothless' life" Hiccup protested. He protectively stepped between the two siblings, extending an arm to keep Heather from attacking Dagur again.

"How can you protect him Hiccup? How can you trust him? How could you teach him to ride a dragon?" Heather interjected. She glared at Dagur, dark green eyes fuming with hatred. "You set me adrift as a child! You killed our father! You destroyed my village and killed my adoptive parents! You've tried to kill each of us multiple times! You're the reason I don't have a family, Dagur!!"

Dagur couldn't meet her gaze, instead looking guiltily down at his feet. "Most, if not all of those things are true, but-"

"Save it for someone who's gullible enough to believe you! You may have all of them fooled, but not me!" Heather sneered. At her brother's dejected look, she huffed and turned to leave saying, "I wish you were dead, Dagur."

Dagur took a half step back. He knew Heather must have hated him and she did have good reason to, but hearing that was like a punch to the gut. "Trust me Heather, I understand the sentiment, I do. I wish that too sometimes," He said with a half-hearted chuckle, trying to hide the hurt from her complete rejection of him.

Heather stiffened and stopped in her tracks, still facing the door. She whirled on him in an instant, brushing past Hiccup to grab Dagur harshly by the collar. "Don't you ever joke about something like that! You have no idea what it was like for me! How I felt, all alone; you can't joke-"

"It wasn't a joke" Dagur interrupted somberly, staring her straight in the eyes. The other riders were silent, shocked by Dagur's admission.

"What?" Heather dropped her accusatory tone and angry glare. She let go of his collar and looked at her brother's face. She recognized the look of pain and hopelessness in his eyes and she knew he wasn't lying. She had thought he was, had wished he was, but the sorrowful expression on his face seemed just too genuine.

"I know I sounded like I was joking, but I wasn't. I wouldn't ever joke about something like that."

"Then you-" Heather started to ask a question, the question on everyone's minds.

"Yes" Dagur answered before she'd even figured out how to ask that question. 

The clubhouse was dead silent, not even Chicken dared make a sound. Dagur looked past Heather to Hiccup, who wouldn't even look at him. Instead Hiccup was looking downwards and fidgeting with a leather strap on his wrist guard. 

Then Dagur continued speaking, spilling out more secrets than he would have liked, if only to not have to sit in that uncomfortable silence. 

"I've thought about... death a lot. Ever since I was little. I mean, no one liked me, some people went out of their way to make me miserable and sometimes I just wanted a way out. I wanted to make them hurt, make them regret the things they did to me. I wanted to hurt them, make them bleed and suffer or..." Dagur whispered, "I'd want to hurt myself. I was just so angry. Sometimes I'd hurt others and I regret that now, but sometimes I'd take it out on myself. Just to feel something other than anger all the time." 

Dagur sniffled and brought his hands to his forehead, trying to hide the tears beginning to form in his eyes. "And it. Never. Got. Better" He almost growled. "I'd take it out on anyone around me and when no one wanted to be around me anymore..." He crossed his arms and rubbed at his bracers and forearms.

Heather knew Dagur had a lot of scars and assumed they were from fights. A picture came to her of a much younger Dagur sitting on his bed angrily slashing red strips into his arms with the very same knives he still carried around. She wanted to hate him but now she just felt sad for him.

"So many times after losing a battle I'd wonder if the Berserkers would be better off without a failure like me. I led them into battle against trained dragons when we had wooden boats! I was a shitty chief and a shitty leader and I knew it. I just didn't want anyone else to know that I knew. So I just doubled down and look where that got me. So many times in Outcast prison I just wished I was dead already. I kept waiting and wishing I would die of blood loss, or infection, or internal injuries before Alvin came back to play with me again. But I never did. Even after I escaped I just wanted to give up. I mean I had nothing anymore, no power, no gold, no armada, no throne, and no home. I couldn't even stay in the archipelago because I'd made so many enemies that if anyone found me, I'd be executed or worse. I wasn't able to sleep again, so I just sat awake at night plotting revenge but sometimes I just wanted to go home so badly I wouldn't have cared that I'd probably be killed immediately. I'd have just let them."

Dagur looked up at Heather expecting to see disgust or cruel amusement and was instead met with shock and concern. That was almost worse. He could handle being ridiculed (maybe), but he hated being pitied. 

"The only thing that made it any better was you, Heather" He explained. "Because you were alive an even though I orphaned you twice, I couldn't even think of ending myself anymore. If I did, I'd have taken your family from you three times and I'd definitely be the worst brother ever. Even if you hated me, even if you ended up killing me yourself, I knew I couldn't do that to you. When I was stranded on that island for months, thinking about all the awful things I'd done, I wanted to throw myself from one of the cliffs or put my sword to one final use but every time I almost did, I thought of leaving you all alone in the world and I just couldn't bring myself to do it."

He took a step towards Heather and put a hand on her shoulder plates. "You don't need to waste your energy wanting me dead, I do more than enough of that on my own. And I'm really sorry, for everything." He turned to leave, unsure of what else he should say.

"Dagur, wait-" Heather called after him, but Dagur had already started to cry and he wanted out of there as quickly as possible. "Good Night." He said with a finality that made it clear there would be no more talking. 

Once out of the clubhouse, he leaned against the wall and wiped the tears from his eyes. Stupid Dagur, why'd you say any of that? Now everybody knows. He scolded himself as he slunk off into the night to find Shattermaster. He used to think it was stupid to have an animal as a best friend but right now he wanted nothing more than to curl up next to his dragon's pebbly scales.

Back in the clubhouse everyone was still absolutely quiet, even the twins, trying to process what they'd just heard.

"Someone's got to go after him," Astrid was the first to speak up. 

Heather turned to look at her, then to Hiccup. She still had a stunned look on her face "I- I- uh..." She didn't even know what she was trying to say but clearly Hiccup knew what she needed more than she did.

"I'll go." He volunteered, quickly leaving the clubhouse. Toothless warbled and followed close behind. 

Hiccup found Dagur on the landing platform outside the stables. He was sitting on the edge, feet dangling over empty air below him and leaning against Shattermaster's side. Hiccup felt a twinge of alarm seeing Dagur's precarious sitting position. As soon as Toothless had his paws on the ground, Hiccup jumped out of the saddle and grabbed Dagur by the back of his chestplate and pulled as hard as he could, dragging the berserker back from the edge of the platform. 

Dagur twisted free of him and glared at Hiccup, wiping away the tears in his eyes and asking, "So what? I'm not allowed to sit where I want now?" The unexpected harshness in Dagur's tone made Hiccup flinch a little. "You finally stop treating me like I'm a danger to everyone else so now you're going to handle me like I'm a danger to myself?"

"Dagur that's not what I-" Hiccup tried to defend himself, realizing that his worry had come off patronizing and had really rubbed Dagur the wrong way. 

"Going to take my weapons now? Afraid of what I might do with them? Would you like my belt while you're at it?" He sneered. "I don't need you trying to protect me."

"I'm sorry." Hiccup sat down next to him. "I wasn't thinking."

"Yeah, obviously" he mumbled back. 

Hiccup looked out over the view from the stables. The moonlight illuminated the sea below them. After a moment Hiccup said, "I want you to know, I don't think any differently of you. I'm sorry you went through what you did but I don't think any worse of you now that I know. I've been through some rough patches where I felt like that too."

"Felt like killing yourself? I thought so." Dagur said flatly.

Hiccup flinched, "What? How did you know?"

"Come on, brother. I saw you growing up. No friends, too weak to defend yourself, everyone thinking you're a disgrace to Stoick. I'd be more surprised if you hadn't thought of..." Dagur paused, "well, you know."

Hiccup was more than a little shocked. "That's pretty much it. I was always a disappointment. I felt like no one actually wanted...," Hiccup gestured to all of himself, "all of this. I heard people call me a burden all the time. Sometimes I think I did something so crazy as befriending a dragon because I felt like no one would care if I got eaten anyways." Hiccup scratched under Toothless's chin. "Sometimes I think that without Toothless, I'd still be that scrawny kid with no place in this world."

Dagur nodded. "I get that. But now you're the scrawny pride of Berk!" He said with a genuine crazy Dagur laugh.

"Hey!" Hiccup punched Dagur in the arm and smiled.

"I used to be so angry that you chose a dragon over me", Dagur explained, petting his green gronkle. "But now I get it. I've only had Shattermaster a day and it feels like he's already my best friend. He makes an excellent mediation partner too, you know."

"Toothless is my best friend" Hiccup agreed. "He was the first one who accepted me for who I was. We'll always have a special bond. There's just something comforting about a dragon; they don't judge you, they can't tell people your secrets, and they're always going to give you the love you give them."

"People are overrated anyway", Dagur said dismissively. 

"Well, there are some good ones if you know where to look." Hiccup looked over to the clubhouse; Dagur turned his head to look too. "But mostly I do agree, that the average dragon definitely beats the average viking for me." 

"Good thing I'm not the average viking then." Dagur chuckled.

Hiccup laughed, "Oh no you're not an average viking, that's for sure!" They both burst out laughing together. 

"Oh you bring the funny brother," Dagur said when they'd finally stopped laughing. "It's really nice out here tonight."

"Yeah it's a really nice night." Hiccup said. Toothless' ear fins pricked up and he looked at Hiccup. "I think I'm going to go for a night flight with Toothless, wanna come?"

"No thanks, I don't think I'm ready to fly at night yet." 

"Oh," Hiccup sighed. "Do you want me to stay here then, I mean are you okay to leave alone, I'll stay if you need?" He offered, still slightly worried about Dagur.

"Hiccup. Stop." Dagur scowled. "I'll be fine."

Hiccup trailed off, embarrassed that he'd tried to baby Dagur again. "Sorry, I did it again. Goodnight Dagur" Hiccup climbed on Toothless and took off into the night sky. 

"Goodnight brother," Dagur whispered into the night behind him. As he looked down over the edge of the platform again, Shattermaster yawned and snuggled next to him. Now that he had his own dragon, and Hiccup and Heather, it finally felt like he had something real to lose if he were to jump. He knew his tribe would be fine without him, but his brother and sister wouldn't be and the dragon he'd come to see as a best friend would miss him as well. He got up, walked away from the edge of the platform and led his dragon into the stables to sleep for the night. Dagur considered going to sleep in the stables with Shattermaster, but remembered the odd behavior of the riders that day. 

He was glad Hiccup was off flying, and thus away from his hut. Dagur needed to do some snooping around. He was right about one thing, he had way too much to lose now.

so like im gonna yap about my week CAUSE IT FELT LONG AS HELL I PHYSICALLY TWEAKED OUT JUST REFLECTING BACK ON ALL OF IT‼️‼️

so as u know i was ill last week (was that even last week I CANT REMEMBER BUT IT WAS RECENTLY) and i was coughing up a storm at school on monday and tuesday IT WAS HELL ITSELF I SWEAR.

SO I HAD LIKE,, 7 TESTS? THIS WEEK? I THINK? a ton!! like wdym im getting a test thats not writing in journalism class? WHY ARE WE HAVING A HISTORY TEST IN THIS CLASS THATS SO WEIRD TO ME??? anyway... that and a spanish test and two math tests and two tests in my ap class and an english comprehension test i was not thriving this week

AND BY THE WAY, THE TESTS IN MY AP CLASS WERE LITERALLY RETAKES BECAUSE I WAS GONE REVIEW DAY CAUSE I WAS SICK AND HAD TO TAKE THE TESTS WITHOUT STUDYING AT ALL. THE TEACHER WAS LATE TO CLASS THAT DAY SO IT TOOK ME LIKE THREE ADVISORY PERIODS TO FINISH THE STUPID TESTS 💔💔

erm anyways all of that happened AND IM NOW THRIVING I FINISHED ALL MAJOR WORK AND MY GRADES ARE LOOKING UP SO YIPPEE!!! 

yesterday i went to the school football game with my friends!! our team kinda demolished the visiting team dude 😭😭 IT WAS LIKE?? 68-0???? LIKE DAMN OKAY LET THEM GET UP BROTHERS 😭

ALSO AT THE GAME THERE WAS A KISS CAM AND MY FRIENDS ENDED UP ON IT WE WERE ALL SCREAMING SOOOO MUCH 😨 IT WAS WILD LINA!!! BUT THE GAME WAS A TON OF FUN AND WE ALL HAD FUN SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS AND DOING RANDOM STUFF IN THE STANDS!!

my friend who i sat beside today let me draw my fish on her bandaid :33 she calls me fish too and i call her cat it's a long story basically but in eighth grade like.. back in 2022 we exchanged discords and my nickname was fishie and hers was neko so like .. fish and cat. oh and once a physics teacher referred to me as fish too help
