I want to be a knight so bad. I want to be the personal guard to a princess that I am completely and eternally loyal and faithful to and am totally not in love with. I want to follow my princess around the world as she learns and practices ancient magic, protecting her from bandits and monsters. I want to find ourselves on a quest to stop an evil lich from consuming the world, maybe alongside a few other adventurers from various backgrounds and potentially dubious origins. I want to use my body to protect my princess from the lich's disintergrate spell and slowly turn to dust as I hold her, knowing that my duty is complete, and once I am gone she taps into the magic she had been learning across our journey together, disregarding the danger it presents of being performed incorrectly. I want her act in destroying the lich to come with a cost that is so much more than that which is visible, I want my memory to live forever through her and her alone and I want her to remember the smile of her forever dutiful knight as the last she ever saw of me.
