Thinking about a little shopping outing with mommy Wanda, where my only job in the world is to hold the hold the clothes she hands me, and stay close to her.

She doesn’t mind that I don’t so much like looking at the clothes myself. She’s more than willing to pick out all the things she thinks I’d look cute in, and then dress me up like a little doll in the dressing room.

She gets so excited when she finds a pretty dress that fits me just right, or a nice little blouse that has me looking all fancy and professional.

And I love to watch her try on all her clothes, watching in awe as she asks me to zip up skirts and dresses. I’m like her own personal shopping assistant, sorting piles and putting things back on hangers. I’m always willing to go run and get anything she needs.

She asks for my opinion and doesn’t get upset when I say I think she looked good in all of them. She knows I care and I’m paying attention. Sometimes my silly little brain just can’t make sense of aesthetic. Anything looks good when she’s wearing it.

She just giggles and kisses my head, telling me how good and patient I’m being for mommy. If I keep it up she’ll even let me get a sweet treat on the way home.
