The frames of the video from the comic in the previous post. I experimented a lot with this, it was really fun to work with this chunky brush I found. Also the first time I draw the Reaper of Destruction as it was before Lumity!
More comments under the cut+a frame I ended up scrapping!
I'll go by order of appearance, because it's basically a chronological retelling of the events of part 1.
So the first frame is the least fancy because it was the first and I didn't nail down a style for this yet lol. It shows Ghost and Soap's first true meeting, in chapter 1, where Ghost helps Soap when he gets impaled by a rebar.
The second frame jumps to chapter 8, when Ghost first put Soap in Limbo. The triangle around them was a later addition, taken from the next frame. I love this scene, it's so fun to see it drawn out now :)
The third frame was the most important one to nail the style. I painted a whole frame, only to come back to it the next day and restart from almost 0.
This is the original third frame
Tumblr media
They both show the same event - chapter 21, the second time Soap is thrown into Limbo. The difference is, one shows a more literal image of what happened, and the other is more symbolic.
And by now I think you know how much I love symbolism lol
What also bothered me with the scraped painting is that the composition isn't central, and the entire pose, while more dynamic, isn't fitting the mural feel the rest has.
There's an even earlier version of the scrapped painting, with Soap's face, but nowhere else there are faces in these series, so I went wild with it and covered it with flames. He had them behind him already, as the description of this scene in the fic says Soap had a helo of fire behind him.
(also hated how Limbo's victims looked in the scrapped version like... ew lol)
There wasn't a real reason to add the circles around Soap. I just wanted to lean more heavily into the mural style. But I took that circle motif to the end, after that, and added it to Ghost as well, hence the triangle.
Soap has one skeletal hand, and one palm. That one is on purpose, to show he's hanging in between life and death.
The fourth frame is pretty self-explanatory, it shows the part in chapter 21 where Soap gets the dark marks on his forearm. If the colors look weird in that one, it's because I messed with them so much I couldn't tell if they look good anymore on not
The fifth frame shows another favorite moment of mine, the moment Ghost gets his marks, the white tear tracks, when he finally notices Soap fighting in the void.
The sixth frame is my favorite of the bunch. Soap and Ghost, the triangle and circle combined. The moment they killed Graves, Ghost in full control of his subjects, Soap with his sword of white fire and army of burning moths. They look so scary in this one I love them
The seventh frame shows Void and Destruction. Void was straight forward, I've drawn it a few times before, but I had to make a more detailed design for Destruction, and I only had the very first sketches I made for Revenant AU to go off of, as well as Lumity's design. Idk why I designed Lumity before Destruction, but that's how it is. I wanted Destruction melting, like it can't handle its own heat.
The eighth frame is of Void and Destruction combining. In the fic they had in-between states, it didn't look like this, but for the sake of the video I thought it'd be nicer to have a clear frame of them combining.
The ninth and last frame is of our beloved Lumity. Their design is a little more detailed than the drawing I made a while back. This frame is also the only one that interacts with the foreground, aka Makarov. I think he was jump-scared, don't know how much that comes across.
Damn I had a lot to write. Well, when given the opportunity to ramble...

Note
Since you've shown Cyn trying to trim her horns but later they seem as sharp and pointy as before; does that mean that they grow back?
If not, have Cyn ever thought to ask about going through a full affirming surgery to have them be much smaller? (Under anesthetics and sleep, sawing them off by a professional so there's not too much bleeding and can heal over properly)
Yes, as long as the bone underneath the keratin of the horns is not damaged, it can grow back. Due to the AS possessing her body though, she's become extremely physically resilient and can recover somewhat quickly from an injury if it isn't fatal. it's still painful but she can heal faster than your average person.
I feel like it would have crossed her mind, but the world in this au is still very much in rough shape and recovering from essentially an apocalypse soo... Good medical practices are sparse. Not to mention, once a goat reaches a certain age it is really dangerous and risky to dehorn them, if it isn't done properly they can grow back weird and pierce the skull. Not to mention hers are already fully developed which makes things a lot more complicated.
So NO! but
Tumblr media
She does learn to not hate them so much with a growing support system, and a lot of reassurance
Tumblr media
And Uzi thinks they're too cool (and fun) for her to get rid of them.

Love is Blind
─────── · · A Smosh FanFic
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Agnew x gn!Reader
─ · · SUMMARY: Smosh Games is making another title in the smash hit board game series, love is blind, but is it all fun and games- or will you actually end up winning something worth a lot more?
─ · · TAGS: gender-neutral pronouns, super tooth-rotting fluff, part social media au, suggestive themes, attempt at humour, a bit chaotic but the vibes are there.
─ · · MASTERLIST | TAGLIST REQUEST | WORDCOUNT: 1,570
─ · · A/N: let us all thank the anon that sent this request it! 😊
─────── · ·
"Hello everyone and welcome to the Smosh Games channel today we will be finding out is definitively, is love truly blind? And as you can all see, I am joined here with (name), Amanda, Arasha, Olivia, Spencer, Chance, and Trevor for the first time in this shows history!" Angela introduces the viewer as you all way and cheer for Trevor who hides behind his wine glass with a playful smile.
"How are we all feeling today?" Angela asks the table and Amanda leads first. "Heyyyy, My names Amanda I'm 25 and my friends told me to come on this show. I ummmm, am from New York, yaaa! And I love to party, I work as a marketing assistant!"
"Hi, I'm Olivia, 44, I was told we win money on this show-?" Amanda leans over whispering a loud no, and you laugh as her shoulder drop. "Well, I was going to be on this show to win but now I'm just here for the drama and if I find love, great, whatever- I work as a scientist, can make more money."
"Hello, Name's Trevor and I work in digital media, I-uh am 20-something and love to cook!"
"Its Arasha and I am 20, this is being filmed and Europe so don't you dare take this glass away from me! I work in Digital media as well and if my first date is a walk on the beach, just know that there won't be a second date, m-kay?"
"Sup, I'm straight-Chance and you all have no-chance if I'm the other one in a love triangle. I am 22 and work as an actor, catch me in films you never knew about!"
"I'm Angela, 50, sales, have been divorced thrice and am looking for my fourth special-someone."
"Ummm, hi? I'm (name) i'm (age), and work also in Digital Media. I-uh love table-top games and yeah"
"Hi, I'm Spencer, 33, and also love table-top gaming..." You and Spencer both look at one another with a smile before looking towards Angela as she quickly goes over the rules and the game commences.
─────── · ·
Early on, you were not matching with anyone and that was making you nervous. Sure it was a silly game in all but you were competitive nonetheless and seeing as Olivia, Amanda, and Chance all had multiple connections while you had one and nearly a half, you knew that your odds didn't look great.
"Okay!" it was your turn to read out a question card. "For a date I would: A. Rather stay inside, B. Go out to Dinner. C. Go for a Walk-"
"Fuck the walk," Olivia slammed her card down before you could even show your decision, the cast erupted with laughter as you didn't bat an eyelash and turned over your card. "I said A. Stay Inside. I was thinking we could have a movie night at home or just order in. More intimate that way," you explain. Suddenly feeling the reality of the game come to life as you nervously waited on your peers answers.
"the results are in and only one A... hm" you commented, checking it off on your card with a small from. This unknown person was really running away with your scorecard, only one more point and you could propose- potentially winning the game. It was time to lock it in.
Round after round, question after question, you and this person were connecting effortlessly, it even had you questioning if you had both broken the game by how in-sync your answers were. So much so that the other members of cast started wiggling their eyebrows in your direction as your cheeks warmed.
"Okay guys! Its only just a game but a game I do intend to win!"
─────── · ·
So focused on creating a strategy to match your unknown match, you were none the wiser to Angela calling out your name multiple times.
"C'mon you are sounding like my ex-wives, never listening to me. Please stand up, I have something to say, no one else is playing the purple character" Angela yelled across the table, pointing in your face as you held your hands up and walked around to stand in front of the table.
"(name), even though we both have not known one another for long, I have fallen so in love with you. More in love than my other two, or was it three wives? and however many children I father... just know that I want to have you be mine. Please marry me?" Angelas voice cracks near the end, she conceals her laughter by biting her shoulder as you bring up your hands to your mouth to do the same.
Your eyes are clouding in tears before you burst out in laughter and say no, watching as she collapses to her side and bellows out dramatic cries before standing back up and asking Olivia to come over, they both end up getting engaged.
"I would actually like to call someone forward. If the blue character could greet me at the front, please." And to your shock (and internal horror yet delight), Spencer steps forwards, your eyes wide as saucers as he smiles at you. Forgetting what to do Spencer looks down, reminding you to propose much to everyones enjoyment and your embarrassment as Tommy shouts out from behind the camera, "Could love truly be blind???"
"Shut-up, please! Spencer, I-uh. Well we have connected a lot over this game, we see eye-to-eye and have formed a meaningful connection over these hours that have felt like years. I never knew someone could match my freak, so to speak and would you do me the honour of marrying me?" you take the ring out of your back pocket, presenting it to Spencer who appears to have the blush of his own.
You both stand their still in that moment, forgetting the cast, crew, and cameras, "yes, I do- I mean yes I will marry you." Standing up to place the ring on his finger, you both hug and hold each other for a moment too long for what should be a cut scene before taking to your seats.
In all honesty, you both forget that you are still holding each others hands after the cut-scene and it carries through to the end of the game.
─────── · ·
The drama continues yet for you and Spencer, it was smooth sailing as you both did not go out looking for a 'better connection' and end up making it to your wedding day. you keep having to remind yourself that this is a mere fantasy, a game but it feels too real as Spencer takes your hands in his own, smiling and whispering jokes for only you to hear as Tommy reads out your vows.
"And do you, Spencer, take (name) to be your lawfully wedded spouse? In sickness and in health? For richer or poorer? For both as long as you shall live always?"
"yes, I do," Spencer says, placing the ring on your finger, bringing it up to his face for a kiss as your face heats up more than it has all game. "And (name) do you take Spencer to be your lawfully wedded spouse? In sickness and in health? For richer or poorer? For both as long as you shall live always?"
"I do." And the cast and crew all stand and cheer as in that moment you both debate on kissing one another. "Are you playing?-"
"Never," Spencer eases your worries, "could I kiss you?" he asks in a soft tone, wanting to cherish the moment you both know to be real.
"Yes, please." And then his lips are on your own, the world silenced yet again, his had cupping your cheek as you lean into his touch.
─────── · ·
When the cameras cut, your lips still tingling and your face set with an unmoving smile that Spencer mirrors. You two are the only ones left on the set as Spencer leans against the table, "I know this seems a bit weird considering that we're married-" you laugh before asking him to continue with hopeful eyes as he reaches out to hold your hand, you accept, fingers intertwining.
"Would you want to go out sometime?"
"Yes, I would really like that."

This is such a stupid AU idea but I love it.
Tumblr media
I'm calling it the "Chill Bill" AU and it's exactly what it says on the tin.
If you're curious, check it out under the cut :p
There's comics at the bottom if you don't feel like reading
Tumblr media
So basically, Bill in this AU isn't AS cynical as cannon Bill. Like sure, he still destroyed his home dimension, but he's not going around turning people inside out for fun.
In this AU, Bill convinced people that he was a god, starting a whole new religion and everything. Bill then goes on to NOT do anything that would get people to think he's evil (cuz he ain't) so the people find no reason to turn against him.
Humanity comes together and advances tech faster than normal to create Bill's portal. He comes to earth around the 1940s, and DOES NOT turn evrerything into chaos. He's actually the reason the second world war came to an end, but is partially also the reason there were world wars at all.
Bill has his usual personality, nothing about that changed, it's just his actions that do. Humanity built a lot of things in his honour, and Bill is EATING IT UP. Like, yeah, ngl he's got a god complex with humanity, but he still cares for them.
Bill is usually in the general assembly (or an equivanlent) most likely sitting on a big ass throne sorting through human problems. After like, seven decades dealing with human bs he's getting a little tired of it. But he does genuinely help out
Bill does like,, dissapear to go visit other dimensions and stuff when he gets sick of earth, but he always returns. Humans celebrate when he does. Unless Bill has given direct permission, no one is allowed to enter the portal. So far, no human has seen the other side.
Sometimes he even brings other interdimensional beings through the portal to show off how much humanity loves him. On rare occasions, these visitors try to take advantage and wreak a lil havock, and Bill plays the hero to save them.
Anywayyy here's some comics
Tumblr media
Ford and Stan adventuring through Alternate Universes and ending up in Chill Bill's one
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bill's first encounter with Stan and Ford
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bill gets obsessed with trying to get Stan and Ford to like him and prove that "not all Bills are bad" but lowkey makes it worse

Opposites Detract AU part 2
I left some things out but here’s a clearer picture of what the rest of the story would have been like.
Pls read the og post right here
https://www.tumblr.com/grilledcheese-savage/763805500110487552/new-au-idea-opposites-detract-i-came-up-with-this
For some reason it won’t let me link it normally
Ok so as you can see in the picture, Marinette is Multimouse… but is that all she is?
For the first “season” or less, she is a civilian. She is free to live her life normally without having to take any unnecessary risks. Until she runs into this old man (master fu) and helps him out. I always thought this would be during feast or a situation like that, where either he’s in turtle hero form and she acts as a shield for him, or helps him like the first episode as a civilian. Either way, Master fu remembers this. He tests her more than he did chat noir and la coccinelle because it turned out pretty poor last time. He has paranoia. But Marinette is a pure soul so he leads her to his shop and reveals the miraculous to her eventually, UNBEKNOWNST TO CHAT NOIR AND LA COCCINELLE. Because while he was hoping the next guardian would have been ladybug, he needed a person he could truely trust. And that turned out to be Marinette. She becomes the guardian for the same reasons in the original, it becomes to dangerous for him to continue and he loses his memory. But Marinette continues to work in his shop (a cover for guardian duties).
Lila and Adrien also “work” at his antique shop but neither of them know she’s the new guardian (yet) I’m not sure if they’d find out immediately after master fu has to quit, or Marinette keeps up the charade a little longer. I think it’s more fun to imagine her knowing more than she let on.
When she meets master fu at first and starts training under him, she doesn’t get to keep a miraculous. She works under a lot more conditions than the others do since her job keeping secrets is incredibly important and fu still struggles to trust her. Eventually she proves herself of course, but the pressure of being guardian is so much to handle.
Adrien was going to be a guardian at first since he gained more of Fu’s trust than Lila, but since he has the Kwami of destruction, just like that other guardian man that I can’t remember the name of, they all have some kind of bias against them. He couldn’t trust him not to take the miraculous of the ladybug and grant a wish, even if he kept that from him. He also just doesn’t get along with La coccinelle at all, so he couldn’t have someone with a bias be guardian (he’s hypocritical).
More about Adrien: As cat noir he doesn’t get to be his flirtatious persona he originally has, instead he takes on a more serious altruistic approach since he is pretty hated unanimously by the public. His persona becomes more of a lie, as he tries to undo all of the hatred that came from the destruction of Paris that first day. Think of goro akechi in persona 5; he learns to distain his constant visual presence, the fact on and off the job he is constantly being watched. There’s not a moment that either one of his selves is on tv. And because he’s being filmed there are quick moments the news capture of him being kind to the public and turning around with a resentful face on. He doesn’t totally get to enjoy his freedom as chat noir since the police always try to capture him. But they fail to, and there’s a still a small few of fans of theirs that defend them.
Basically he gets cancelled a lot. 😅
La coccinelle is allowed to pick a miraculous to help her ONE TIME by Master fu, and she picked Chloe Bougeious with the bee miraculous. Chloe accepted and caused a lot of mayhem. Which was fixed. But after that was when he met Marinette and started planning defense and strategy with her. So the next time they needed help, he sent Marinette as multimouse which pissed Lila off because it made her think master fu still didn’t believe she could handle it. When really it was a mix of both not trusting her, and the fact that Marinette was prepared for a lot longer then she was.
This makes lila have a one-sided beef with multimouse, even though she’s secretly her civilian crush Marinette. Love square? Ehh. What Lila doesn’t realize is behind the scenes Marinette doesn’t hold any ill-will for Coccinelle. In fact, she defends her to master fu and convinces him to give Lila more freedom more often. But of course, doesn’t know this. And the unspoken beef continues.
Now, for Kagami and Luka’s place in this story.
While Marinette is a civilian she meets Luka and they become friends very quickly. Same with Adrien and kagami. But at this point in time, Adrien doesn’t really have a crush on kagami, since the slippery slope of coincidences caused Adrien to have a crush on Marinette first. Kagami however seems to be the only one who sees this darkness brewing in Adrien (emo I know, but I digress) Kagami, does in fact, gain a crush on Adrien because she thinks he’s like her- lost in this world, without a lot of friends to help.
Luka and Marinette however, still get together but after Marinette becomes a guardian. They don’t last very long because of this, because her constant work between the bakery, the antique shop, guardianship etc. makes her late to everything they plan to do together. Luka ends things believing that Marinette only likes him as a friend and that’s why she puts work ahead of him everytime. This breaks Marinette’s heart, even though she understands, so she accidentally ends up saying in front of Adrien that she’s not dating anymore, and is focusing on her career. Marinette is oblivious to the fact that both lila and Adrien have a crush on her.
Marinette sees that Luka is responsible and puts his feelings aside for the greater good and chooses him to have the snake miraculous part time. When she is multimouse, she’s pretty awkward around him since things left off kind of sad, but since Superion doesn’t know that Marinette is multimouse, he just assumes she’s shy or doesn’t like him. This is obviously not true. In fact, Luka becomes the more “chat noir” type in this, teasing the group and very lightly flirting with her. BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FUNNY AND UNPREDICTABLE. I see him being very suave with his harp. Like every musician is lol.
Kagami and Adrien don’t work out either, because deep down, even if he is getting more resentful of being pushed around and molded into a person he doesn’t know, he still is naturally kind hearted and knows that his resentment won’t last….. hopefully. And Kagami only has that, and fencing in common with him, at least in this universe so they stay friends. Plus she meets Felix anyways.
Speaking of Felix. He.. generally stays the same? Here’s the difference, when he say them on the news on day he judged them. Then when he saw/ met more of chat noir, he started to believe that they were like him and saw the world the same way as he did and starts to commit similar atrocities in the show with the peacock miraculous in hopes that since they were the same, they’d leave him be.
Since chat noir is growing increasingly disdainful, he more or less does want to leave him alone, but the part of him that knows it’s his duty wins every time since he is , still, a little more responsible in this than the show.
Also a reminder, Adrien doesn’t start out like this, he’s still the show’s version at the beginning, he just changes with every situation they find themselves in. So when Felix eventually comes to meet him, he assumes Adrien is the same as always- a goody two shoes who does what he’s told. That couldn’t be further from the truth 😂
Adrien is similar to Felix but still mostly tries to act like his old self, since it’s easier and gets him places. But when Felix comes over and is cold, Adrien gets frustrated and his resentful, chat noir self comes to life. Felix was so stunned by the slip up that he just, shut up. And left. Very confused.
Anyways I have many different ways of imagining Felix seeing the more contemptuous Adrien. He becomes much more interested in him. He wants to learn more, because maybe he’s not alone.
Idk what do you guys think? Should Adrien be the guardian? What would Alya’s role be? Pls reblog more ideas and add on to the AU!
Thanks!

Charles Rowland Exploration
I have a question for the Dead Boy Detective fandom. A fun exploration of character psychology and development. What would Charles Rowland be like if he wasn't "saved"?
For context, I've read a lot of Alive Boy AUs. I've seen some where both boy save each other from their respective "deaths". I've mostly seen ones where Edwin has lived through the "prank sacrifice" and whatever non-Hell bad came out of it and is around to save Charles in the attic from freeing to death. Lastly, I've seen a few where both boys have survived their ordeals and met each other afterwards. And this is the scenario I've been thinking about. (I'm gonna add here that I've thoroughly enjoyed every Alive Boy fic I've read. My question is because my brain likes to go down rabbit holes, not because I'm criticing or criticizing any fic I've read). In the context of the show, we see Edwin's reaction to his trauma and not being "saved". I feel like his dislike and distrust of the living is in part due to how he died and that no one cared enough to stop it, to save him. Plus, adding in his childhood. We know he has a fear of dolls. We know he's hypervigilant about Hell - aside from Niko's death, Edwin is always the first to mention the need to get away before Death comes. This is often carried over into fics. Alive Boy Edwin usually is written with a PTSD response to his near-death - nightmares, hypervigilance, distrust, withdrawal from social engagement, etc. Sometimes even a fear of having the door unlocked or fear of being tied down/grabbed.
In the context of the show, we never seen Charles who wasn't "saved". I'm putting quotation marks here because I don't mean saved as in death prevented. In the show, Charles still dies, but I feel like Edwin still saves him in a way. Charles experienced betrayal by everyone meant to care for him and protect him. His father, his friends, his school - covering up his death definitely counts as betrayal even if it happened after the fact. But at the moment of his death, a stranger appears and is kind. A boy who spent 70 years in Hell after being sacrificed by his classmates, and who has every reason to be the worst person ever, decides to be kind - to keep him company, to get him extra blankets and a lantern, to read to him. It doesn't even end there. Charles isn't alone after his death as Edwin was. Charles has Edwin at his side, and he can trust Edwin in a way he couldn't trust others because Edwin was there for him. He didn't take advantage of Charles being weak from cold or unable to smile and talk his way out of trouble. He didn't have anything to gain by helping Charles, and Charles would later learn that hanging around a dying person was a risk to Edwin. So Charles isn't alone after his death and is with someone he feels he can trust. To add to that, Charles has a purpose (protecting Edwin from Hell and solving cases, however long it took them to get to that). This also gives Charles a direction for any anger/rage and also a reason to keep up the smile. "Keep up spirits for all of us" is what Charles tells Crystal. Yes, Charles still has his trauma responses - see the entirety of ep 3-5. Those responses are almost entirely tied to his father's abuse, though. We don't necessary see if he has a trauma response to his death. I know the fandom headcanons things like a fear of water/drowning, being cold when he's weak/injured/drained, etc. But we don't explicitly see the response to his friends and school betraying him very much, aside from a couple reactions mainly in Edwin's "we didn't matter". So the Charles we see in the show is the result of a boy who died after being betrayed again and again but was "saved" by another.
Now, take that away. Take away Edwin and his kindness and the purpose he gave Charles. Take away that safety and that outlet and that reason to keep smiling. What happens then? Would he still try to be always smiling? Would the anger and rage by at the tip of his tongue and his fist always ready to throw? Would he even be willing to try to befriend Edwin when they eventually meet?
What would Charles Rowland be like if he wasn't "saved"?(Please bare in mind, this whole thing was typed at 2 am cause I couldn't sleep until I got it out of my head.)

I got bored and made a future Moomin valley AU and gave them all little happy families
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So my Moomin valley fixation came back after like 5 whole years, and originally these were just meant to be one off little ship kid concepts but I grew attached to them and the idea of it and eventually it kinda evolved into a next generation AU in the span of like 3 days… Hope I’m not too late to the party chat…
I’ve been thinking up a LOT about this AU, but I’ll just give a basic run down rlly fast:
Lumi and Linna are best friends and basically take over the roles of snufkin and moomin, who are now lumis parents, the AU is very slice of life and follows a lot of the main lessons from the original moomin shows (Especially a veeeerrryyy familiar dilemma about a friend feeling sad over one choosing to leave for the winter)
Lumi is similar to Snufkin where she has a big urge to get away from social situations and be on her own, and can really only spend prolonged amount of time with her parents (or Linna in certain situations). Despite looking almost exactly like snufkin, she acts a lot like Joxter and it’s no suprise the two are actually very close especially considering their equal love for sleeping and hating authority. Despite her love for sleeping and her indifference to the idea of hibernation, ever since Lumi was able to choose she’s always chose to go south with Snufkin. Even if this makes Linna sad.
Linna is much more social than Lumi, and doesn’t mind speaking her mind and having fun with others. She takes after Snorkmaiden with her love for Romance, and often fantasizes about her “Prince Charming.” Linna, unlike Lumi, has hibernated for all her life, even after she was given the option to hibernate or not, she often wishes that Lumi would stay for the winter, but Lumi is insistent on traveling, but the two are always happy to meet again during the spring and go on their normal adventures. She usually acts as the “pact leader” and is often the one leading the games and day plans, but Lumi helps take charge when they are going on adventures as she is best at it.
There’s a couple side characters that are turned into more important roles, like for example in this AU the joxter is actually a reoccurring character !! (Let’s just pretend that Joxter and Snufkin met & rekindle their relationship and so now Joxter gets to be a silly grandfather!!)
That’s pretty much the basic rundown, and yes I did choose to ship snorkmaiden and Ninny, it was last minute but I thought it’d be actually rlly cute unironically.
Anyways Here’s some extra doodles I made cause I wanted to attempt to replicate Tove’s doodling style to finish off this post, so enjoy these!! And thank you for reading!!

Sunlight crept into the room, casting a soft glow over the lingering chaos left from last night’s movie marathon. Pillows were sprawled across the bed, blankets tangled from restless rolling and laughing, and crumpled snack bags lay scattered around the room. Somewhere in the center of it all stood Hongjoong, hair slightly mussed, looking endearingly focused as he gathered the remains.
You lingered by the door, content to just watch him, feeling a gentle warmth rise in your chest as he fussed over each detail, folding the blanket, picking up wrappers, quietly determined to restore order. He seemed completely oblivious to your presence, humming faintly as he worked, pausing every so often to shake his head at the mess with a smile that told you he didn’t mind, even if it was a bit much to handle first thing in the morning.
But as he moved around, you noticed how the soft morning light highlighted the lines of his shoulders and back through the thin fabric of his shirt, how each motion set a subtle flexing in his muscles. Just as you let your eyes trail a bit lower, he suddenly reached behind his neck, gathering the hem of his shirt in his hands before lifting it over his head. You watched, your breath catching as he tossed it aside with casual indifference.
For a moment, you were frozen, caught off guard as he bent over to grab an empty chip bag. The movement sent a ripple through his back, smooth skin and toned muscles on display, leaving you with no choice but to lean against the doorframe, taking in the sight. A smirk found its way to your lips as you planned how you were going to make this moment a little more fun.
Moving quietly, you slipped into the room, closing the door softly behind you. approaching him. Hongjoong, still unaware, continued picking up the remnants of last night. You came up right behind him and waited until he bent forward to pick up another chip bag before leaning in.
“Hard at work, aren’t you?” you murmured, voice low, teasing, just a bit too close for him to stay calm.
He jumped slightly, straightening up so quickly that he almost bumped into you, eyes widening in surprise. “Y/N! I didn’t… I didn’t know you were—uh—awake.”
You raised an eyebrow, looking him up and down with a smirk that you knew would make him squirm. “Clearly. Here I was, wondering what was making all that noise, and then I find you… cleaning up nicely. Thought I’d just admire the view for a bit.”
A flush crept up his cheeks, and he instinctively reached for his shirt, hesitating, realizing it was now out of reach. “I was just… you know, picking things up.” He fidgeted, glancing down at the floor, his usually confident gaze faltering under your eyes.
“Well, I see that,” you said, folding your arms as you leaned in, not letting him escape your gaze. “But you didn’t have to go and take your shirt off, did you? Not that I mind.” You allowed yourself a lingering look, eyes drifting down his bare torso before meeting his eyes again.
He swallowed, hands curling nervously at his sides as he tried to find his voice. “I… I just thought it was a bit warm, and, you know, I was working, so…”
You reached out, tracing a single finger down his arm, watching with satisfaction as his breath hitched and his skin tingled under your touch. “You were working hard,” you murmured, tilting your head. “And here I thought you were just trying to show off for me.”
His eyes darted away, the blush deepening as he let out a shaky laugh. “N-no, I wasn’t trying to… I mean, it’s not like that…”
“Isn’t it?” You tilted your head, letting your voice drop to a playful whisper as you leaned closer, catching the faintest hint of his cologne mixed with the lingering scent of movie night snacks. “Because, to me, it sure looks like you’re putting on a little show, Hongjoong.”
Hongjoong’s hands fumbled as he tried to look anywhere but directly at you, the usual cool, confident expression on his face melting into something softer, more vulnerable. “You’re… you’re teasing me.”
“Oh, am I?” you murmured, feigning innocence as you placed a hand on his chest, pressing lightly just to feel the quick rise and fall of his breath beneath your fingers. “Funny. Here I thought I was just… helping. Don’t you like a little help, Joong?”
He shivered at the nickname, looking up at you with wide, almost pleading eyes. “Y/N, I… I really should finish cleaning up,” he whispered, the hesitation in his voice doing nothing to hide how much he was affected by your touch.
“Oh, don’t let me stop you,” you replied, leaning back just a little, arms crossing as you watched him with a satisfied grin. “By all means, keep going. I’ll just… supervise.”
He nodded, biting his lip as he glanced around, his face red as he tried to resume his task. But each time he bent down, he seemed to become hyper-aware of your eyes on him, his movements growing slower, more self-conscious as he fumbled with each chip bag and wrapper. You had to hold back a laugh, thoroughly enjoying how flustered he’d become.
As he finally straightened up with a small stack of empty bags, you reached out, stopping him with a hand on his arm. He froze, looking down at you with wide eyes, waiting, expectant. Without breaking eye contact, you brushed your fingers along his arm, letting them linger, feeling his muscles tense slightly under your touch.
“Nice arms,” you commented, keeping your tone casual even as you noticed his breathing grow shallow. “Ever notice that, Hongjoong?”
His blush deepened, and he struggled to keep his voice steady. “I… I don’t really… I mean, I just… you know.”
You tilted your head, raising an eyebrow. “I’m not sure I do know. Care to explain?”
He stammered, clearly flustered beyond belief, his gaze shifting to the side as he whispered, “I… I don’t really pay attention to… stuff like that.”
“Well, maybe you should,” you teased, giving his arm a gentle squeeze before stepping back, savoring the adorable, helpless look on his face. “After all, it’s not every day you get compliments, is it?”
He let out a soft, almost whiny noise, glancing down at his feet as he muttered, “No… it’s not.”
Your smile softened, but you weren’t done yet. Not even close. “Good,” you said, reaching up to brush a stray strand of hair from his face. “Because I think you look amazing, and I want you to know that. Every single time I see you.”
Hongjoong’s eyes met yours, wide and vulnerable, and for a moment, the tension hung thick in the air. Then, with a shaky breath, he looked away again, his voice barely a whisper. “Y/N… you’re really… something.”
You laughed softly, reaching out to give his cheek a gentle pat. “And you’re really adorable, Joong,” you replied, letting your hand linger a moment longer than necessary. “Now, don’t let me distract you. You’ve got a room to clean.”
He nodded, looking dazed as he turned back to the mess, though his hands were shaking slightly as he continued picking up the leftover wrappers and pillows. You watched him, satisfied with the blush on his cheeks and the slight tremble in his movements, feeling more than a little proud of the effect you had on him.
As he continued cleaning, you crossed your arms, leaning against the doorframe with a smug grin, knowing you’d gotten to him. And with each little glance he stole at you, each time his hands fumbled, you could see that the teasing wasn’t something he was going to forget anytime soon. But you wanted even more.
"Okay, okay.. that's enough, sweetie." you said.
"Huh? The sheets are n-not-"
"We'll fuck them up anyway. Lay in bed." your voice lower than usual, but with the usual playful vibe.
His hands froze at your words, and a visible shiver ran through him. For a moment, he looked like he was trying to process whether you really meant it. You held his gaze, still leaning against the doorframe, and with a little nod, motioned toward the bed.
Slowly, he straightened up, cheeks flushed deeper as he left the half-finished sheets behind and made his way over, a hint of nervousness and excitement in his eyes. He lay down in his usual, comfortable sprawl—one arm draped across the pillow, legs spread out just enough to fill the space. His hair was slightly mussed from all the cleaning, and the pink on his cheeks had darkened, giving him a soft, vulnerable look.
You stepped closer, fingers reaching for the hem of his shirt, tugging it just a bit to get his attention. He tilted his head to look at you, his eyes following your every movement, anticipation clear on his face.
With a smirk, you turned and slid open the drawer beside the bed, your hand finding exactly what you had in mind. You took out a few things, giving each item a meaningful glance before setting them on the bedside table. His gaze followed every little move, the tension between you thickening as he realized what you had planned.
“Just for you,” you murmured, letting the playful tone in your voice linger as you sat beside him, your fingers trailing along his arm.
Moving your hands lower, your fingers trail along the waistband of his pants, playing with the fabric as you look up at him with a teasing smile. He bites his lip, anticipation clear in his eyes, and gives a small nod. You tug gently, guiding them down his hips and legs, letting them fall to the floor alongside his shirt.
Now, he’s fully exposed beneath you, vulnerable yet trusting, a hint of nervous excitement in his eyes. You lean in, brushing your fingers along his arm, letting him know you’re right there with him.
You keep your gaze on his face as you reach for the riding crop, allowing him to see exactly what’s coming. The crop is a slim, flexible rod, its length wrapped in cool, polished metal. At the end is a small, square leather paddle, just firm enough to make an impression but soft enough to keep things playful. You give it a little snap in the air, just to see his reaction.
He swallows, the anticipation in his eyes heightening. He’s ready, waiting for whatever you’re about to bring his way. But first, you reach over and pick up a blindfold. Its soft, velvety material slips smoothly between your fingers as you lean forward, holding it up just in his line of sight. "Close your eyes," you whisper.
As he obeys, you bring the blindfold down over his eyes, tying it securely but comfortably. The effect is immediate; his breaths deepen, his chest rising and falling under you as he sinks fully into the experience, the loss of vision making him even more acutely aware of each little sensation.
You lower yourself onto him, feeling the warmth of his bare skin against yours, and you notice his body responding. The tension between you thickens as he stifles a low groan, his arousal unmistakable beneath you.
With the crop in hand, you start at his shoulder, dragging the cool metal down slowly, letting him feel each inch as it slides over his skin. You pause just above his chest, letting the leather paddle brush lightly against him. His breath hitches, his body reacting to even the slightest touch.
"How does that feel?" you ask softly, letting him sense the smirk in your voice.
"Amazing," he breathes, his voice low and filled with need.
You let a teasing smile play on your lips as you reach over to the drawer, pulling out a sleek new surprise, its subtle hum breaking the silence in the room. A vibrator. You don’t need to see his eyes to feel the way he tenses in anticipation, a slight shiver running through him as he senses the new element you've brought into play.
With deliberate slowness, you bring the device near his skin, tracing feather-light lines along his body, testing the way he responds. Each touch brings a fresh reaction—a soft gasp, a quick inhale, his muscles tightening under your touch. His breath quickens as he tries to adjust to each sensation, the unpredictable rhythm keeping him on edge.
You make a game of it, drawing back when he seems to be getting used to one spot, then switching things up with a new touch or angle. His reactions fuel your every move, guiding you as you playfully keep him guessing, his body reacting to each carefully placed touch. Then, your hand guided the toy near his inner thighs, then to his cock. He flinched, but your immediate touch made him settle.
"You know the rules... right?" you asked, waiting for him.
"Y-yes..." he answered, already out of it.
"If you do, tell me."
"I-i should not c-cum if you dont s-say so.." he compiled to your question, a satisfactory smile rising on your lips.
"And?"
"My hands s-should always be b-behind me"
"Good boy." you said and moved the vibrator to his cock.
You got closer to him. Your left hand was resting on his thigh, making small circles onto the flesh. Your right hand was tracing lines and circles all along his entire length, achingly hard. You first circled its tip with the lowest speed, softly starting to put pressure onto it. He squirmed under your touch, muffling his moans back.
He was getting close but, you were not done yet.
You moved the free hand under the base of his cock, holding him down. You moved the head of the vibrator along the tip and the shaft, on a medium speed, then you raised it a bit. He let out a soft moan, his chest rapidly rising.
"P-please..." he pleaded.
"<Please> what? Use your words, pretty boy." you suddenly pressed the vibrator to the tip, forcefully.
"Ah, fuck! Ngh-" he moaned out, biting his lower lip.
"Use. Your. Words." you spelled it out for him, his hands barely at his back right now.
"P-please touch me again.. your hand - I need it.. p-please" he begs, nuscles tensing under your touch. A tear fell down his cheek, a playful, almost sadistic-like smile, appearing on your face.
"What a slut... aren't you?" you replaced the vibrator with your hand, "Who's slut are you?" you pumped him once.
"Y-yours! Y-yours.." he whispered.
"That's right, darling." and you decided that he deserved to cum so, you fastened your hand on his cock and the vibrator to his tip, circling it. It was already heavily leaking with pre cum, and as soon as you squeezed the tip of his cock and held the vibrator pressed to it he came, pearly white strings of cum splattering everywhere all over his lower abs and your hand, soft moans and whimpers leaving his rosy, flustered face, turning you on all over again.
You watched him, a smirk tugging at the corner of your lips as Hongjoong panted, cheeks flushed and eyes half-lidded as he looked at you for approval. The sight of him—disheveled, vulnerable, a little shy—was exactly what you'd been hoping for.
"Well, well," you drawled, crossing your arms as you let your gaze linger over him, deliberately letting the silence stretch. "Look at you. So obedient, aren't you?"
Hongjoong swallowed hard, looking down, still catching his breath. "I… I did what you asked," he murmured, voice soft and a little shaky. The red in his cheeks only deepened as he spoke.
You tilted your head, making a show of appraising him slowly from head to toe, and then you moved a step closer. "Oh, I know. You did *such* a good job, didn’t you?"
His eyes flickered up to meet yours, a hint of desperation and hope mixed in with that shy, flustered look. He nodded, biting his lip in anticipation. "Y-Yes…"
You leaned in close, your voice dropping to a whisper as you tilted his chin up gently. "Did it feel good to follow the rules, Hongjoong? To do exactly as you were told?"
He whimpered slightly, closing his eyes for a moment, the sound caught somewhere between a whine and a plea. "Y-Yes… felt… so good."
"Mmm, that's what I thought," you chuckled, enjoying how his breathing hitched as you traced a gentle finger along his jawline. "And good boys who follow the rules get rewarded. Isn’t that right?"
He nodded again, his voice coming out in a small, pleading whisper. "Yes… please…"
You smiled, letting your hand trail down to his chest and then stepping back just enough to keep him wanting. "Ah, ah, so eager. But remember, *I* decide when you get your reward."
He let out a small whine, his eyes full of anticipation and need as he looked up at you. "Please…"
"So needy for me, for my hand..." said hand travelled across his chest, over his hardened nipples, softly pinching them. As you watched him squirm under you in pleasure, you moved the same hand to his pelvis, to the base of his hard-again cock. You got closer to him, leaned down and looked at him.
"I believe you'd.. like to see this," you said and softly reached out to touch the velvet fabric on his eyes and took it off. His eyes widened at your position: you were leaning on all fours between his legs, back arching, face as close as possible to his cock.
"O-oh god, babe.. you look s-so... good." he said, stuttering.
"Do you want it, Joong? Do you want me to suck you off?"
He swallowed hard, his gaze fixed on you, desire pooling in his eyes as he struggled to catch his breath. "Y-Yes... please, baby," he whispered, his voice thick with need. "I've never wanted anything more."
A teasing smile curved on your lips. "Are you sure?" you murmured, your fingers grazing lightly along his thigh, making him shiver. "I want to hear you say it, Joong."
His hands balled into fists, knuckles whitening as he tried to hold back. "Yes," he said again, more clearly this time, his voice shaking with anticipation. "I need you... I need you so bad."
You could feel the tension between you building with every second, a delicious heat that made your heart race. "Good," you purred, finally leaning forward to give him exactly what he asked for.
You leaned in, kissing the soft skin of his tip. He squirmed slightly, adjusting to the new activity. You then went on completing your reward. Your left hand held onto the base of his cock, slightly squeezing. You leaned in and kissed the tip, then licked the shaft up and down slowly for a couple of times. He already looked out of it, breath hitching and biting his lips with every touch of yours. His chest rose up and down as you went on finally sucking his length. You took a deep breath and took his whole dick all up your throat, choking and gagging on it. He whined out, hands barely behind his back now. You looked up at him and saw how eager he was to mouth fuck you.
"What you doing with the hands, baby? Didn't we agree on keeping them away from any activity?"
"I-i know... b-but.." he said.
"What? Do you want to fuck my throat so badly?" you teased.
"Y-yes ! P-please.. please." he pleaded, looking at you with puppy eyes.
"You've been a good boy lately... should I grant you your wish? Hm?"
As you smile up at him, you see his breath hitch, his eyes widening with a mix of anticipation and vulnerability. You bring one hand to his, guiding it gently, slowly, up to the top of your head. His fingers tremble slightly under your touch, betraying how much he wants this, how hard he’s trying to hold himself back.
"Here, hold me just like this," you whisper, your voice soft but commanding. "But remember, I'm leading until I say otherwise."
He nods quickly, his gaze intense, fixated on you with a desperate, pleading look. He held onto your hair softly as you took a mouthful of his length, your head bobbing up and down, sloppy sounds escaping your mouth. He shifted under you, slowly lifting his pelvis, in search of even more friction. He was *desperate*.
You stopped for a moment, looked and him and smiled. With a mischievous glint in your eye, you let the silence stretch out, savoring the way he’s utterly at your mercy. His breathing is heavy, his eyes locked onto yours, and his whole body is tense with anticipation.
You gently stroke his cheek, running your thumb over his parted lips. "You’re so eager," you murmur, voice dripping with satisfaction. "But remember, patience is a virtue." You let your hand trail down his chest, feeling his muscles tense beneath your touch, making him wait, savoring every moment.
When you finally continue, the pace is slower, more deliberate. You want to keep him on the edge, prolonging the intensity until he can barely contain himself. He groans, struggling not to buck his hips, obeying your lead with palpable effort.
"Good," you whisper approvingly, feeling the power of the moment settle between you both.
You keep your pace steady, teasing and edging him as his breaths grow ragged. His hands grip the sheets tightly, and he’s trembling now, trying to hold on. You glance up, meeting his pleading gaze, and you can feel how close he is—he's barely holding back, right on the edge.
With a knowing smile, you take him even deeper, giving him exactly what he’s been craving. The effect is immediate; his whole body tenses as he gasps, then moans, his voice breaking into soft, needy whimpers. He’s completely undone, lost in the overwhelming sensation, as he finally came. You swallowed everything, not a single drop went to waste as you slurped his load.
You don't pull away just yet. You keep him there, drawing out every last shiver, drop, until he’s utterly spent, lying back with his chest rising and falling, his eyes glazed and dazed with satisfaction. He looks up at you, breathless and vulnerable, and you brush a gentle hand across his cheek, savoring the intimacy of the moment.
Your hand reaches into the drawer beside you, fingers brushing over various items until you find what you’re looking for—the ring. Slowly, you draw it out, letting it rest in the palm of your hand, then hold it up for him to see. His eyes widen, a mix of anticipation and apprehension flickering across his face as he realizes what’s coming.
You move closer, holding his gaze as you slip the ring over his length, positioning it carefully and pausing just a second to let him feel its presence before you turn it on. The subtle, controlled vibrations pulse through him, sending a shiver down his spine. He gasps, his body immediately reacting as his hands clench and his breathing quickens.
You begin stroking him slowly, letting the ring do its work in tandem with each deliberate movement of your hand. His head falls back, lips parted as the sensations wash over him, and you see the need building in his expression—an almost desperate, needy look overtaking his face. He lets out soft, gasping pleas, his voice barely holding steady as he begs to be allowed to finish.
“Please,” he whispers, his voice tight, almost broken, as he meets your eyes with a pleading look. “I can’t… I need to…” he said, already damn overstimulated from the other two orgasms he had.
Tears begin to gather in the corners of his eyes, spilling over as his body shudders under your touch. You stay with him in that space, keeping the rhythm unrelenting but just on the edge of what he can handle, watching as he falls apart with each stroke, each pulse of the ring. His pleas become more frantic, his voice breaking as he teeters on the edge, unable to contain himself any longer.
You tilt your head, watching him struggle beneath you, his breaths coming in sharp gasps as he clings to the last bit of control he has. Smiling, you lean in close, letting your voice drop to a whisper.
"Have you been a good boy?" you ask, letting your fingers trace teasingly down his length, just enough to keep him teetering on the edge. His face flushes even deeper, eyes glazed and lips trembling as he tries to form words, but all that escape him are whimpers.
He manages a shaky nod, voice breaking as he stammers, "Y-Yes... please… I’ve been good."
You raise an eyebrow, feigning doubt, as you tighten your grip slightly, feeling him tense up under your touch. "Do you really think you deserve it?” you continue, letting each word hang as you slow your movements to a torturous pace.
Tears stream down his cheeks as he nods frantically, desperation clear in his voice. "Yes… please… I can’t—please, I need it," he chokes out, his voice a needy, pleading whisper.
With a smile, you finally relent, stroking him firmly in time with the ring’s pulse, building him up until he can’t hold back anymore. His entire body tenses as he cries out, surrendering completely, waves of relief flooding through him. You hold him steady, drawing out each trembling shiver, watching as his face softens, the tension melting away until he’s left breathless and spent, drops of silky white cum all over your hand, his abs and the now fucked up sheets.
As he finally relaxes, you gently stroke his hair, whispering words of praise. “You did so well, love. You were perfect,” you say softly, letting your voice soothe him as you place gentle kisses along his forehead and cheeks. His breathing slowly steadies, and you wrap your arms around him, holding him close as he melts into the embrace, seeking warmth and comfort.
You keep him close, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against you. Your fingers draw slow circles on his back as he buries his face into your shoulder, letting himself settle. After a few quiet moments, you gently pull back to meet his gaze, giving him a reassuring smile.
"How are you feeling?" you ask, your tone warm and full of care.
He takes a deep breath, a soft smile tugging at his lips as he searches for the right words. "I… I feel safe," he murmurs, his voice a little shaky but filled with a deep sense of contentment. "Thank you."
You give him another gentle squeeze. "That’s all I want—for you to feel safe and happy." You press a tender kiss to his forehead, watching as his eyes close, a calm, peaceful expression settling on his face.

What's a scene/scenario that lives rent free inside your head whenever you think of your AU? Or just the Octonauts in general. Is there something that excites you? Or something fun that you'd like to share with the class? A hyperfixation of sorts?
Me reading your ask post: YOOOOOO I'm a moot and I ain't dead (just inside) . . . oki yeah i may have been gone for a few hours but I have a very Octonauts related excuse!!! 😆
(This is @animalsalvationassociation btw, I'm not allowed to change my account name for asks apparently 😋)
Lots of love darling! 💙💙💙
(You better be taking care of yourself!!!)
HHHHRHRHHHDHSNWKSMDNKAAK OMG, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS YOU 😳😅
I think I'm taking care of myself 😅 just lonely af 😔 (crippling friendless loser syndrome)
As for a scenario that lives rent in my head :
Hrbskwndjsksn literally just imagining Barnacles being creepy or acting like the animal that he is; it is my literal favorite thing to daydream about! I'll be trying to do school work and just sitting there staring at computer going --
"Hmmmm, yessssss, Barnacles ripping someone apart 🤤🤤🤤🤭🤭🤭 ooooh maybe even mauling themmmm 🤭🤭🤭😳😳"
I think it has to do with my fear of bears, lol
Something that excites me :
Them getting into precarious situations... and Barnacles saving the day, it makes me so genuinely giddy :]
Hyperfixation :
Octonauts overall (been consuming my brain for literal months, like half of the year probably), but a specific character changes every couple of days, OR each time I see something that reminds me of them and gives me ideas lol
Also :
Tumblr media
(Me every time @animalsalvationassociation / @cookiecrumbles52palace calls me "darling")
It's like a reward 🥹💙 its so flattering 😭

PS: feel free to ask to be added to the tag list or any other series or one-shot I'll be writing in the feature!, Also thank you from the support from here and for those watching the election with us, know your thoughts and prayers were with us and someway, somehow, we are going to get out of his grip and keep going and standing strong for us. A lot of things were rigged during this and hopefully there will be action taken against this and if not, just know I will find a way to survie and come back ready to tell stories and still write on her, my soruce of comfort
“It’s a miracle you survied those wounds from that crash. Most of them were so sever you should’ve died when you entered the hospital.” The doctor told me, looking over my chartd while I just sat there on a hospital bed trying so hard to listen and retian all of his words he was trying to tell me but it was hard to. Everything that happened before I woke is still playing in my mind like a broken recrod player and there was honestly nothing I could about it other then just sit here trying to put the pieces together. My throat and chest still burned even after I took that drink, it had to be blood because I was still tasting iron like I sucked on a cut in hopes it would stop bleeding. But there was nothing else I could do, there was nothing more I was even thinking of doing. I just knew I needed to focus. “Is there anyone you would like us to call to take you home? Any family members or anything in that nature?” I looked over to the doctor to only shake ym head. For all I knew my family was dead to me, living however they wanted and I wanted to keep them as far away as possible and there was nothing more that I wanted to do with them.
“We will keep you here for the night and discharge you in the daytime just to give yourself more rest and monitor just incase of anything happening. Please press the help button if you need anything. You’re nurse will be Hy-in, she’s very alert.” I gave him another piloet nod as he left the room, closing the door behind him while I looked at the monitor, everything was steady and slow. Despite the burning I was feeling. All I could do was let out a sigh while leaning back in the bed, closing my eyes and replaying his last words in my head. I’m immortal now, but I can still feel pain despite it all. How am I supposed to know who those men were? They know who I am yet I won’t know who they are until I find those rose tattoos. Those darn things culd be anywhere but I guess that’s the fun part. But seeing them in my dreams? What could happen in there? I’m guessing I wouldn’t be able to wake up until they wanted me to or were just done with me till then and there was nothing I could about it. Which was weird to me.
Who were those men just sitting there, clearly they weren’t human, no human has te ability to trap you in a dream and sit in a place so hot, it felt like hell. Was my entire body and soul sold to 8 of them with a wine glass? I shook my head and tried not to think about it, I had a lot of things to handle in the morning and I hated that thought. I started to feel my pocket and hope my phone wasn’t as damaged and to my shock it was in perfect shape still, even opening it up nothing was taken or changed. I went to open my bank, being angry that all the money I had was most likely gone but it wasn’t. My bank balace when I last checked was around almost 3,000 won, I had almost 7,000 won from my show and ut was still added to my account still. Which was impossible given the fact that the money was flying around and burning even from the crash, in total I had about 10k won in total. It was confusing to me even, but I didn’t want to question it much more. I wanted to rest, I wanted t wake up and prepare myself for a stressful day and since it was my day off, it made it slightly better. But there was nothing else I wanted to think about.
I tried my best to be comfortable given my outfit, holding the pillow and closing my eyes just hoping for the best and not expect anything more after this. I stayed and kept tossing and turning before opening my eyes. I thought I just needed to go to the bathroom as I stood up and turned around, but I was more in shock then anything. There was my body, sleeping peacefully and comfortably like I was at home just getting comfortable and there was nothing else I could do. I looked around in a panic before seeing lights flash from under the door. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to leave the room but I decided to because what else did I have to lose? Walking to the door was hard, slowly making my way over like I could glide my way over before slowly holding the cold doorknob. I could only look down at the glowing light from under the door before slowly taking one deep breathe before slowly opening the door with my eyes closed, hoping to see something worse then what I was expecting from everything else that was happening but I felt nothing but a soft breeze from the left of me. Slowly opening my eyes and being surprised at what I saw.
The room I was in had a view of everything, I could see the skylines with the stars shinning brightly, walking to the large wall of windows I was looking down atthe city of Seoul, it was surprising to me, because I quickly turned around and saw my body still asleep on the bed of a cold hospital room. But the door was slowly closing and I was left alone in this large room, where things were still slowly coming into view. On the left was a large black couch with comofrtable pillows that seemed to have fancy designs and some strings around them. On the edge of the couch was a small black table with a single wine glass that was filled halfway but it looked like it was being drank out of. The floor was a large white carpet, everything on this side looked lurxury, to the side it had hte same feeling but there was a bed. It was a large cirlce bed with a canopy circing around it, the black curitans with gold flowers circling around it, almost like waking up as a prince everyday and going to bed like one.
“And Hello to you to, Diamond.” I wanted to scream at the deep voice, but all that came out was a surprised yell and me quickly turning around to see the person. But I still couldn’t see his actual face. But I could see everything else, his blonde combed back hair with something covered his face, it didn’t look like a mask but I couldn’t see anything other then his lips and nose, his eyes were hidden from me. There was nothing I could do other then take in how he looked, honey tanned even which is something thay often gets washed in a blinding white to give off something different when certrain places take the pictures, it’s stupid to me because the tone is overall delciious to look at. What he was screaming was something you’d see a prince would wear. A buttoned up white shirt with ruffles on the sleeves and on the chest with tight black pants. Wearing black heels even which wasn’t something I was used to seeing outside of the nightclub. And on top of that he had white gloves with black ruffles on the end.
He was almost the same ehight as me, but taller. He stoof tall with his hands behind his back while I could still feel the eyes on me. He seemed to be enjoying my reaction while wlaking around me before walking to get his wine glass, slightly swirling it around while sitting on the couch. “Who…The fuck- how am I here.” I tried to demand, watching him do all of this while trying to keep my hands close to me while I could hear his chuckle. It was rich and deep, something that could make your knees shiver and you want to hear him talk just for the fun of it. Trying to stand my ground while just watching him. “You made a deal when you drank that special wine for you, you’re in my house. You’re talking to someone wo truly enjoys…greed.” I could only tilt my head and just watch him. My soul is now gone from me and there is this person right in front of me knowing so much more about this, yet enjoying my confusion and making sure to enjoy it as much as he could while I watch.
“Luxury, things I deseve afterall. Soon you might get to enjoy it, if you can figure it out.” All i could really do was jsut waatch him. I didn't know what to say, what could I even say to him? It’s clear that whatever I got myself into was something there was no backing out of. Go on, come over. What all I could even to do you? Bite already? That would be moving too fast. Besides you have a little while longer before you wake up.” “The crash…I know I saw hyunjin, what did he do afterwards. You must know him given all of this" It all just came out, but it seemed to make him stop drinking his wine and I could feel the slightly shocked look on his face as he looked at me. Almost like I wasn't supposed to have saw hyunjin there or figure it out this so soon. But I grew up putting things together in a fast length without needing to say it out loud, and it was clear that I was right about this and there was nothing he could even say to me to distract me.
“Sharp like a diamond, he'd be flatter if you figureed out his that fast but I'll let him figure it out.” I crossed my arms, fixing my stance even though my feet weren't hurting which was weird because they would usally be hurting by now, especially with heels. “But, we are forced to tell you the truth, whether any of us wanted to or not. But, yes he was there, he enjoys sneaking away or chasing someone. Now as for what he did afterwards you were stuck in that set up car is something you will have to ask him about when you see him. Don't expect it to be tommorow, it could be at night when you sleep. Naps in the day don't work either since we need to blend in with mortals at that time and get things done, and keep you on your toes so you remember why you're here and alive in the first place. Trying to do more then your ready for isn't the best way to start things out.” He snapped his fingers and before I could push more, I woke up on the bed. No dramatic gasping for air like I was dying, just a calm slow wake up while I rubbed my eyes and tried to get things right in my head that felt like it was spinning nonstop like I've beenspinning for 30 minutes straight.
But I was told I could leave, and that's all I wanted to do. Looking at the clothes I had to wear since mine were cut open so they could do their best to save me with no time to waist. My Wig as horrible but that glue was holding on, it was just a mess and tangled, this wasn't cheap but I won't be mad at the staff for doing the best that they could for their job. I walked out in sandlas someone gave me with my broken heels in hand outside, holding what little I ahd before I saw Hyunjin again, he was standing far off to the left of the walkway just right outside the main entrnace. I almost wanted to scream when I saw him, but I turned to the right thinking I could outrun him and I saw someone I never wanted to see. It was my sister, she was looking at me and I feel like she could stil tell it was me and I quickly turned and walked straight to hyunjin like I was trying to run but kept my pace from it, speed walking if you will. I could hear her trying to call my real name with her heels clicking behind me, I wanted to walk past hyunjin but he just held his arm around me like he did last night before teh crash and we began to walk away.
I wanted to punch him and just walk home but the fact that he was getting me away from her quicker was helpful. I didn’t want to know why she was at the hospital and I didn’t want to open that door that was locked and chained up for a reason and I thought I made it clear. He kept walking with me till we got to another luxury car. I almost dind't want to go till he leaned in my ear. “If you want to keep her off your tail, stay with me. She's been trying to play a gold digger and stay outside of hospitals like this to see if seh could snatch up someone.” I rolled my eyes as I got in the car and sat on the far side while he got in and sat beside me. Closing the door while flipping his hair back, I just knew I was about to be getting into some drama that might overall..make me happy to see her fail at it. I was curious because there seemed to be someone else in the car. His hair was straight and blone, glowing even which is something I tend to be jealous but I kept it to myself. He was wearing a leather jacket and it was clear that whoever this was, was close with hyunjin.
“She's almost always waiting otuside with you and it's annoying to deal with it everytime, surely you have better things to tell her besides to leave.” The deep voice person said, crossing his legs as the car started, us ignoring the knocking on the window and I was more surprsied to see her just standing there trying to knock and see inside of the car that we got into. It amde me ma to see that even after everything with our family happened she still hasn't changed. But it's not my business and I won't let her make it for me. I crossed my arms and my left leg over my right before turning to hyunjin, wanting answers and there wasn't anyway I was about to leave without getting any of them tonight. “She enjoys causing scenes in public, I'm over it and seeing how diamond-" “y/n.” I corrected him, since diamond was my stage name and I wasn't at work, I didn't want to hear it when I'm not at work or with a client. He smirked before trying to continue his sentence. “Y/n, reacted to her, that scene would've been too much and we need to take them back home. Let them relax for a while.”
I felt myself roll my eyes again at the sound of that last remark. I still have questions but with seeing someone else in the car, I felt like it wasn't right since I didn't know them and I didn't want to sound crazy in front of them. So I just tried to talk about last night, before the crash at least. “Is this one fo the men from the bar last night that sat with you? How did that talk go?” turning to give him my attention, I saw hyunjin had his legs crossed and turrned to me to give over his full attention. “Ah that one, we got a deal to buyout the curruent owner. The Place will be shut for a full renovation while everyone still gets paid, free paid leave. And when it's done you'll have more time to decorate your rooms. It'll be more.. safe for those who want to try but are too scared of people with money.” I rasied a brow as I listned to him give me the reasoning, it wasn't bad, we do get a lot of new people and they often run becauase of how many men stand and sit around on the main floor and get violent when drunk. It's not something we aren't used to, but it's stupid that it gets this far.
“That's not a bad Idea, what about your friend right here? Did he like the club as much as you did you? You seemed to be more intrested in getting the place then anyone else.” He took a while to answer, looking like he was trying to carefully pick his words carefully just to not give out anything I'm not supposed to know about now and he wanted to prolong the Guessing game and there was no cheat corners. “Places like that aren't just a place for men to pay for something. Men who dance and women who dance are trying to get by to live for something and need somewhere to go without the fear of getting too much of taxes removed because too many people want to fill their pockets with something. Or think just because they paid they get a say in everything.” I wanted to say that he was genuine with his response with everything. I wanted to say I was surprised by this since he seemed to enjoy these things. But not because o that but ebcause he was worried for the people who have to work in those shitty confditions and how there was almost nothing more gross then someone crossing someones boundaires for their own personal gain and walk out like nothing bad will happens. Someitmes our boss will get the cops involved, but I feel like she was doingmore dangerous things on the side and would try to get the others to let it slide so she doesn't get caught, and hates the cops coming over.
Don't get me wrong she wasn't a really shitty one, she wanted to get as much money as she could and grow the place, but getting us tied in with dangerous work was beginning to be her downfall to everything and it was slowly coming over to bite her in the ass. I still had questions but it was clear he needed to go somewhere, and that we were at another building that wasn't mine. I looked over to him and watched him tryto fix his hair, his outfit was something most people wouldn't think as professional for something important but given how expensive everything looks, I hightly doubt no one knew who he was when he walked through a building. Fully being able to look at his outfit, the shirt he had was mainly a dark red wioth black spots that reminded me of a leopard. With pants that reminded me of a dusty gray wioth a black and gold belt, a large cilver chain hanging from the left side of the pants that seem to reach his inner thigh. I almost didn't even see he had a black tank top under his main shirt. The outfit with teh black botts on his feet ot matchmade it look amaizng. At least my hope of him knowing how to dress was right because I would've cried if he didn't. “Have fun with my friend up here, I'm certain he'll keep you occupied till you get home and start tp feel better about yourself, that was a very…nasty wreck.”
I looked at him with wide eyes as the car started to drive off and he did a little finger wave. He knew I wanted to ask, he knew I needed answers yet he left just before I could even ask teh question and I wanted to get out of the car and shake him. But the door was locked and so were the windows and all I could do was jsut watch him confidently walk up those stone stairs and have hte door open for him with him bowing in return. I wanted to chase but I would just look crazy. “Don't try top get out, unless you plan on fighting that girl and him just watching. He loves a good show. Now tell the driver where we're going so you can feel fresh, I can imagine all of those knots and tangles must be a pain to remember you have to deal with later.” I looked towards the review mirror and was surprised at the eyes I was seeing, those bright sky eyes were something I always secretly admired from afar but never wante to tell someone taht because most of the time I've told soemone that, they loved the attention and just made it annoying to keep trying at this point with trying to get to know them since they tend to use their eyes as a weapon. Something that also takes time to learn and master after what felt like hours when it's only been minutes of it. I lokoed at the driver and told him the same thing I told the lat one, sitting back in the soft cream leather seats and buckling myself up again out of habit.
“she's alwayts been like that.” “Oh, so you know her?” “Blood related to her, nothing else but that.” I rolled my eyes, surprised she even rememebred my name when seh saw me. I had changed and grew so much but I guess that's what happens when you're the older sibling andhave htat special sibling link I guess. I won't lie when I listen to this man, he knows he would be wanted by people just like everyone else in his group of friends last night. Looking like a walking model with his eyes, lips, and even the freckles. I know that peoeple were falling at his knees just because of those. “Worried she would try something to get you embarrassed as well?” “If her parents were able to rebuild themselves then of coruse she would to try and spin the story against me, which really wouldn't work in her favor since I still keep records of them, and knowing her she thinks I live in a homeless shelter and was struggling.” “People often get lost in their own greed thinking no one else could ever get up that far, I'd enjoy the crushed look on her face if she actaully saw the place you live in. Nothing ever happens here.” I felt ymself smirking while we came to the neighborhood my large aparmtent was.
I felt so relived to see the place adn know I was so close to getting there. I never hd to worry about losing the key because everyday when we leave, we leave the key at the key master's desk and he sets the key either under the number, if you only stay for a while, and if you stay long enough, you get a name plate over your key since everyone pratically knows you by now. Some people just rent out rooms for whatever reason adn tehn just leave a couple of days later which is something I tend to enjoy one way or another. It wasn't fun but it also wasn't annoying either since sometimes you'd be able tp hear them since some of the floors are like clubs and bars. Usally palces would just drop me off, but the driver took me to the garage and went to the dropoff spot and parked the car. I was slightlysurprised to see the man in front stepping out when I opened hte door as well, closing it slightly before turning to look at him. I saw something on his left side, since he was wearing only a blue jean jacket that wasn't buttoned closed and there was nothing else under it. It was him, and I knew it was.
Even with his slightly loose blue jeans, I knew exactly what I was looking at even when we both met eyes again. He seemed to have smiled before motioning we walk to the door since the driver didn't need to hear the conversation, which worried me. But we walked to the door and I watched him press in the right passcode into the door before we walked in and it closed once we walked inside. “You have a-" “Rose? Yes, I do. You really do make this fun with how much you pay attention. It's like a guessing game.” I walked besided him slowly, I still had my things in hand while we got to the desk, I asked for mine and he asked for his. “Felix Lee? Ah so you're who I got the wig from.” Holding my key and turnng back to him, he looked more shocked and widen his eyes as he really got to look at the wig, like he was offended this happened to something he help produce to those who could afford it. They were made of high quality and truly could hang on and look great during anything, given the state mine is in after tumbling in a car about a good five times and sold my soul afterwards just to live.
I started to walk but he was next to me while we walked to the elevator, I take it the things we needed to talk about were something no human ear needed to hear. “No wonder it looked familiar to me, I can give you two for…half off?” I raised a brow as I looked at him, the elevator doors closing while I pressed the very top floor, which was on the 30th floor, and he pressed the one under it. “Greedy much?” I wanted to joke, but he leaned closer and his eyes flashed green for a second, and it felt like last night. Though I coudln't see anything, I could feel that stare no matter how weird it was at the fact that I couldn't see anything for that entire time. I felt my heart sank to the bottom of my foot before going back up to my chest. “Can't give things for free, even if you do have…a rose on your side. You won't feel it till you look in the mirror at yourself. But that's for a later time. Nice to meet you actaully face to face, y/n.” He walekd out of the elevator once the door opened, he was humming something while the doors slowly closed before taking me up to my floot. There wasn't a lot of rooms up here but I wonder why he wasn't in one of the rooms up here with me, I'm guessing so I cantruly relax and not go up a wall?
All I did was shake my head while walking out to my door. Slowly opening it and looking around before closing it. I missed my place, it had everything I liked and was oranged to how I would like it. Something I loved for myself while all I could do was let out a relaxed sigh, knowing I have a lot to do. Detangle my wig, probably still get one if not two from him and figure out what else I need to do. I hate not haivng my list of things to do and now having to worry about missing something and not panic or worry about it. But I will figure all of this out later, I know I can and I know that I will. But before I could fully leave teh door,I heard a quick knock, which surprised me but I opened the door and looked down, it was two new platinum wigs, one was more sparkly then the others with a note on it. “you still owe me half price for these, can't let you fall off the hook just yet when the games just started, don't you agree, little diamond?”

hahahsgahahahahahah i love paintbrush. ragh
do you have their moveset? it doesn’t have to be super specific like damage and all that just like what the move does.
whatre some dialogue options for them?? (like kills, assists, interacting with others, etc.)
also do elaborate on that au you mentioned!! i love phighting AUs :3
trying to get more art out i’ve just been super busy- trust tho i’m working on a ton of stuff for y’all :]
but heres their moveset + some dialouge under cut!! accompanied by messy lil doodles and occasionally my funky handwriting :]
okay so fair warning i have no idea how to make balanced movesets so they may be really overpowered or underpowered i have no idea
also some lore i havent explained yet is scattered in their dialogue just for funsies so if you have theory’s pls share i’d love to see them :]
Tumblr media
Paintbrush is a tank!!
They’re a mid range melee fighter thats heavy n slow but does high damage
ok heres the actual moveset
Passive- PAINT SPILL
Tumblr media
The more you attack, the more paint you lose. Losing paint increases your attack speed but decreases damage dealt. Regain paint slowly overtime or by 50% upon elimination.
Using your primary attack covers enemies in paint each time they are hit. At five stacks apply slow and vulnerability to an enemy.
Primary- (name pending)
Swing your paintbrush forward in a wide radius.
Secondary- DRYBRUSHING/(name pending)
Tumblr media
If at less than 30% paint, quickly slash forward four times, favoring speed rather than damage. Doing this doesn’t add marks to an enemy.
With paint, slash twice, dealing knock back and applying slow to enemies hit.
Q- DIP!
At the cost of paint hold ‘Q’ to drag your paintbrush across the floor, giving you a small speed boost. Releasing ‘Q’ or running out of paint: jump and do a flip into the air before slamming your brush down, causing AoE damage.
If you run out of paint before attack finishes, deal significantly less damage.
E- (name pending)
Tumblr media
Use your palette as a temporary shield for up to 15 seconds or until it is destroyed. Press E again while your shield is still up to toss your palette in front of you and knock back any enemies.
( Once you toss your shield it doesn’t come back to you until the ability cool down finishes. It’s not a boomerang )
PHINISHER- WATERCOLORS
Tumblr media
yeah i’m still thinking of ideas for this one :cri:
My reasoning behind the moves I chose
you can skip to dialogue if you don’t feel like reading a ton of text cause there’s a lot lol.
My thought process behind the passive effect with the stacking and everything is like- they’re ‘covering’ their enemies in paint, so when covered in enough paint (the 5 stacks) it makes the enemy slower and leaves them more vulnerable if that makes sense. I also wanted paintbrush to have some sort of big limitation which is where the limited paint mechanic comes from cause I had a feeling i would probably accidentally make them too op lol.
Primary is pretty self explanatory. Though, the secondary im really proud of simply because I like the name ‘drybrushing’ lol.
The Q ability was actually suggested by a friend. Originally Q was just a dash ability to give paintbrush a chance to get away from faster characters since they’re naturally slower but i liked the lil flip idea just cause that seems fun :]
Also I called it ‘dip’ because the slam into the ground made me think of dipping a paint brush in paint? if that makes sense? (though.. that is a very aggressive way to get paint if ur doing it how Brush does in the attack lmao)
Ok my favorite, the E ability!! So if you haven’t seen my other post abt them (go look at it!! their ref sheet, lore and character relationships r there /nf)
But yeah if you haven’t seen it, Paintbrush is based off of the ‘powerful paintbrush’ item, which also comes with a palette that acts like a shield. I didn’t want to give them both a shield and their brush, so I decided to turn it into a ability.
I will say this ability is definitely the most thought out one. The idea is that since Paintbrush is slower they’re more susceptible to being rushed by faster characters like say- Skateboard or Biograft for example. So this shield is there to block those attacks, but also can be used to knock enemies back to give Brush a chance to escape. You can’t attack with the shield up so it’s use is purely to just deflect damage until you toss it or until it breaks/runs out.
DIALOUGE
ok, these were actually very fun to write so here you go.

Biograft: IS THAT YOUR WEAPON?

Paintbrush: What-?!
Boombox: You listen to any music, Brush?
Paintbrush: Definitely! It helps with the creative process.
Boombox: Do you have a favorite genre, Brush?
Paintbrush: Not really, I’ll listen to anything as long as it’s upbeat!
Paintbrush: Hey! I like your music!
Boombox: Really? Thanks!
Paintbrush: I could do with a shield!
Boombox: On it!
Paintbrush: Thank you!
Boombox: Hey! I like your style!
Paintbrush: …
Paintbrush: Wait, was he talking to me?
Paintbrush: Hey! Wait up!
Vinestaff: Please use caution, phights can be difficult to adjust to.
Paintbrush: I think I know what I’m doing, but okay!
Vinestaff: Please use caution, phights can be difficult to adjust to.
Paintbrush: I appreciate your concern, but i’ve got this!
Vinestaff: You’re friends with Sling, right?
Paintbrush: Huh? Does he consider us friends?
Paintbrush: Then I guess so!
Paintbrush: Seriously? Why do they keep pairing me up with you..?
Skateboard: Hey! You got a problem?
Paintbrush: Ack- you weren’t supposed to hear that..!
Skateboard: I swear, If I have to hear one more song from Boombox about you-
Paintbrush: He.. makes music about me?
Skateboard: Hey! You didn’t hear it from me!
Paintbrush: …Okay?
Paintbrush: Oh, it’s you.
Subspace: What?? What’s that supposed to mean!?
Paintbrush: I don’t want your help.
Medkit: You don’t have much of a choice.
Medkit: Have we met before?
Paintbrush: No.
Medkit: …Alright.
KILL ASSISTS-
Skateboard: Too slow!
Paintbrush: Wha- That was totally my kill!
Tumblr media
ok!! that’s it for my ramblings!!
Thank you for listening to me yap abt paintbrush again- they’re actually one of my favorite oc’s and i’ve put so much work into them.
(also i was going to talk abt the AU as well but tumblr is actively lagging because this post is so long so maybe another time lol)
have a good day!

Here’s my personal interpretation of Dipper in my “The Summer Project” AU (loosely based off @urdadsceilingfan’s Reverse Portal AU)
Now this post is LONG overdue. As I’ve scoured the few posts I’ve made about my Summer Project AU, I noticed I unintentionally antagonized Dipper as this bad brother who’s too much of a wimp to protect his sister 😭 So I’m gonna try to shed some light on him, not to excuse his actions, but to simply show his side of the story.
Dipper had a rough childhood. He always had his twin sister, Mabel, but besides that, everyone was so mean to him. Some kids could stomach Mabel’s fun-loving personality but when it came to him, he was just some stupid nerd. He wasn’t happy with his life. That was until he met the Book Club. Other nerds who had the same interests as him, weirdos who loved the things that people would laugh at him about. And they weren’t shy like Dipper, they were proud of who they were and that inspired Dipper to join them. He tagged Mabel along and everything seemed great. But as Dipper grew older, his relationship with his sister began to change. This was due to the Book Club not being as friendly to Mabel as they were to him. It’s as if their status in school has changed. Now his sister was the weird outcast and he was the lovable dork. His heart ached for his best friend, but at the same time…it felt so good not to be the laughingstock for once. Whenever one of his friends would tease and openly bully Mabel, he’d get this tight feeling in his chest. His heart would beat loudly like thunder, and his breathing would quicken. In moments like those, he’d squeeze Mabel’s hand to provide some sort of comfort. For her, of course! If she was far away, he’d squeeze his own hand.
As summer was around the corner, he and his sister started getting into fights over the Book Club. Dipper was put in a rough position. Should he choose the people who made him feel wanted, or the person who made him feel loved? He didn’t get the chance to fully think this through, as his parents told him they were shipping he and Mabel off to Gravity Falls to stay with their Grunkle Ford. The night before they went on that bus, he overheard a conversation between his parents. A conversation he wasn’t supposed to hear. They were getting a divorce. He and Mabel could be separated. He couldn’t bear the thought of a life without his sister. Dipper didn’t get a lot of sleep that night, which resulted in him having an awful migraine the first day they stayed at Grunkle Ford’s museum. At night, Mabel brought him a cold glass of water and some pills she found in a cabinet. Dipper took the pills and drank the water. Big fat tears streamed down his face and he begged Mabel to stay by his side until he fell asleep. He squeezed her hand so tight it might’ve cut off her circulation. She sung a lullaby to help him sleep. The next day, he told her he cried because of how painful the migraine was. That was a lie.
The rest of the summer from then on was amazing. From crushing on that pretty lumberjack girl Wendy, solving mysteries with his sister, and growing close with his great uncle Ford, everything was great! Dipper never thought he’d see the day that he would be truly happy. He hoped the rest of the summer would be as great as this.
But then “Not What She Seems” rolls around. Dipper and Ford find out that Mabel is hiding something. She’s trying to bring back this weird demon guy named Bill Cipher. His great uncle Ford claimed the thing to be his biggest enemy. By the way he described their past, Dipper assumed Bill to be some crazy ex (but he’d never tell Ford that). He and Ford confront Mabel and she breaks down into tears. There’s that feeling again. The one that gnaws at his chest. The tightness. The pounding heart. The hyperventilating. No matter how hard he squeezes his own hand, the feeling doesn’t go away. Suddenly, he’s in the air and in front of him is the shutdown button for the portal. Ford begs him to turn it off. Mabel doesn’t try to defend herself, she just won’t stop crying. He can’t move. Why can’t he move? His ears ring. The only sound he can hear is the loud whirring of the portal. His chest feels WAY too tight, as if his lungs were collapsing in on itself. He can’t breathe. He can’t breathe. He can’t breathe. He can’t br-
Suddenly, he’s blasted away as the portal activates and he hits the floor with a loud thump. Pain spreads from his spine up to his head. He wakes up surrounded by a pool of something wet…he realizes it’s blood. His own blood. Dipper panics and pulls himself up, probing a big wound on the back of his head with his hands. Ford runs to him and inspects the wound, his eyes filled with concern and care. Then there’s some footsteps. Dipper and Ford whip their heads towards the sound. Dipper thinks it’s Mabel. It’s not.

Wholesome hc: The pine tree sweater Dipper wears is the first sweater that Mabel ever knitted. It ended up being too big for him back then but now it fits perfectly. Dipper knows Mabel isn’t too proud of her own sweater so he wears his to make her feel better about herself.

Hey! If your taking requests, I love your work so much and I had an idea I would really love to see how you execute it.
So it would be with Tony Stark, and if its okay Male!Reader, but not romantic, the reader is a teen who is a product of some old fling Tony had and after being poorly taken care of by his mom (whatever that inclines you to write, abuse, bad boyfriend, alcoholism etc.) She dumps him off at stark tower with a note and what little belongings the reader has and his birth certificate to Tony for him to take care of. And the rest of what happens from there is up to you! Basically heavy on the found family troupe, and a little angst with some good fluff. The reader can be from 16-18 still in high school. He has Tony's sarcastic humor and smarts, but he nodes his intelligence because his mom never really helped him appreciate it, basically one of those kids that gets straight A's without seemingly trying and looking kind of stupid, the reader is quiet and a bit cold but that's because of how he was raised, and isn't one to share how he's feeling. If you can do this I'd be so thankful, if not its completely understandable, I hope I gave you enough creative liberty to make it fun, I know it'll be great if you do write it! Again I love your fics so much and I can't wait to read more of what you have!!💜☺

Your whole life, you’ve never known stability. The cramped apartments, the ever-shifting walls painted in hues of desperation, are as familiar to you as your own skin. You’re seventeen now, but you still feel like you’re stuck in this never-ending carousel of uncertainty and survival. Your mom—who’s always been more into herself than anyone else—has a way of shoving her problems under the rug, sweeping you along with the mess until you’re barely holding it together.
Her boyfriend—if you could even call him thatis the latest problem. Travis is the kind of guy who doesn’t need to say much to make his point clear. It’s in the way he takes up space, fills every room with his presence, making himself the center of your lives as if it’s his right. He started coming around when you were fourteen, and it’s only gotten worse. You know he hates you, and he doesn’t even try to hide it. To him, you’re a nuisance, some extra baggage he never asked for, and he’s got no problem reminding you of that. Your sarcasm and quick wit, the things that make you, you, are just more reasons for him to snap, roll his eyes, or call you ungrateful.
Your mom’s always been…complicated. You’ve known that since you were little, watching her go from one relationship to another, always searching for some kind of validation she never seems to find. She calls herself a free spirit, but it’s like she’s just drifting, lost in a fog of her own making. She can be fun, sure, when things are good. There were even moments when you thought she really loved you. But as time went on, you learned to read the signs: the distant glances, the subtle irritations, the way she avoids looking at you for too long, as if you’re some kind of mirror she doesn’t want to face.
It’s your intelligence that bugs her the most, you think. You see through her, every lie, every excuse, every careless decision. And she knows it. It’s like looking into a warped mirror—she can see pieces of herself in you, but you’re everything she’s never been: sharp, observant, with a mind that doesn’t let things slide. And it grates on her.
The fights get worse as you grow older, each one escalating faster than the last. Your sarcasm is your armor, your way of dealing with the endless cycle of disappointment. But every quip, every clever retort, only makes her angrier. You can tell she hates that she can’t control you, can’t manipulate you the way she does with everyone else in her life. She calls you difficult, a burden, a mistake she should’ve never had. You don’t let it show, but each word leaves a scar, another reminder that you’re on your own.
Then one day, it’s too much. Travis and your mom are fighting—again. It’s loud, voices echoing in the small apartment, and you’re in your room, trying to block it out like usual. But this time, you hear your name. You’ve been in this situation enough to know that’s never a good sign. So, you stay quiet, waiting, listening.
“You know he’s not even mine, right?” Travis snaps, his voice dripping with frustration. “Why do I have to put up with this kid? He’s not my responsibility!”
“You think I don’t know that?” Your mom’s voice is strained, like she’s barely holding on herself. “I’ve tried—God, I’ve tried—but he’s just…he’s too much. I can’t handle it anymore.”
There’s a pause, and for a second, you think maybe she’ll say something else, something that makes it sound like she cares. But the words never come.
“Then get rid of him,” Travis says, so bluntly that it leaves a chill in the air. “You’ve got the kid’s birth certificate. Drop him off at his real dad’s. He’s rich, isn’t he? Let him deal with the brat.”
You don’t move. You barely breathe. But deep down, you already know this is it. There’s no fighting it this time, no clever comment to deflect what’s happening. She’s made her choice, and it’s not you.
The next morning, she’s silent as she hands you an envelope. There’s no apology, no excuse, just a look that tells you she’s already gone, checked out of whatever shred of motherhood she once claimed to have. You don’t even ask where you’re going; you know the answer as soon as you see the address on the piece of paper.
Stark Tower.
It feels like a final act of cruelty, really. The man she’s always refused to talk about, the one figure in your life who’s only ever been a name, and now he’s your last option. Tony Stark. Genius, billionaire, Avenger. And, apparently, your father.
You stand outside Stark Tower with a single bag of your things and that stupid piece of paper—the birth certificate that’s somehow supposed to mean you’re his problem now. You feel like you’re stuck in some cosmic joke, a punchline to a story you didn’t even know you were a part of. There’s no going back, though. That’s clear enough.
So, you take a deep breath, adjust your bag on your shoulder, and walk through the doors.
Tony doesn’t even get a chance to process it at first. One moment he’s sipping coffee in his lab, deep in the flow of something unnecessarily complex that’s keeping his mind busy, and the next, Pepper is calling him down to the lobby. She sounds irritated, stressed—like maybe it’s his fault, which Tony wouldn’t be surprised by, honestly. He heads down, muttering about "another hero here to tell me how to do my job."
Then he sees you.
You’re leaning against the glass wall, wearing an expression that’s somehow familiar yet entirely alien to him. It’s not hard to recognize the mix of defiance and exhaustion in your eyes; he’s spent years perfecting that look himself. But the shock doesn’t really hit until you hand him the birth certificate. Your name and his, right there in black and white, unavoidably real.
For once in his life, Tony Stark is speechless.
“Seventeen years,” he mutters, mostly to himself. “And now you’re here because…?”
You shrug, clearly unimpressed. “Mom didn’t want me anymore, and apparently, you’re my dad. So… here I am. Congratulations.”
You’re blunt, almost cruel in the way you say it, like you don’t expect anything from him and don’t care if you get it. But he can’t look away from you. For the first time in a long time, he’s out of his depth. He’s had seventeen years to know this was possible, maybe even inevitable, but standing in front of you, he realizes he’s never prepared himself for this. He’s never thought about what it would mean to actually be a father.
Yet here you are, standing in front of him with your mother’s words still hanging over you, and he can see the weight you carry in the way your shoulders are always tense, the way your eyes don’t quite meet his.
“Well, kid,” he says after a beat, plastering on his most confident smile, “looks like you’ve officially joined the Stark family. There’s no going back now.”
Over the next few days, Tony throws himself into fatherhood with all the enthusiasm of someone tackling a new, challenging invention. He’s reading parenting books, taking advice from anyone who’ll give it, and trying desperately to crack the code of how to be a “cool dad.” He lets you explore Stark Tower freely, offers you access to his entire workshop, and even builds you a custom tablet, “Stark-style,” he brags, with enough advanced tech to impress even the most skeptical teenager.
He talks to you about science, testing your knowledge and realizing with a mix of pride and horror that you’re nearly as sharp as he was at seventeen. He tries to make jokes, throwing out sarcastic one-liners he assumes will win you over. Sometimes, he even manages to get a smirk out of you. But that’s as far as it ever goes.
Every attempt he makes is met with your icy wall, a defense mechanism built after years of disappointment and neglect. You listen, nod occasionally, but never laugh or even show interest. The most he ever gets out of you is a dry, deadpan “cool,” which is enough to keep him going but never enough to satisfy him.
Tony tries not to take it personally, but it’s hard. You’re right there, his kid, yet you’re worlds away, keeping him at arm’s length as if he’s just another adult you can’t trust. He catches glimpses of the sarcasm, the intelligence, but it’s wrapped up in layers of resentment and guarded detachment. You’re always cool, always distant, and he knows why, but that doesn’t make it any easier.
One evening, he sits you down with a grin, tossing a shiny, compact device into your hands. It’s sleek, metallic—one of his newer designs.
“Mini reactor prototype. You’d be the first to use it.” He says it with pride, like he’s giving you something no one else in the world could get.
You look at it for a moment, then at him. “Cool,” you say again, but your voice is flat, unimpressed. You set it on the table between you without another glance.
Tony’s grin falters, and he lets out a frustrated laugh. “You’re a tough crowd, you know that?”
You just shrug, giving him that practiced blank stare he’s come to know well. He’s finally reaching his breaking point. “Y’know, I’m trying here,” he says, exasperated. “I’m trying to… I don’t know, connect. Be… whatever it is you need me to be. But you’re acting like I’m just another stranger.”
You pause, considering him for a moment, and something shifts in your expression—like maybe, for just a second, you see his effort. But then your face goes neutral again, back to that familiar shield.
“Maybe that’s because you are,” you reply, voice quiet, almost too soft for him to hear.
Tony feels the blow, but he hides it with a forced chuckle. “Fair enough,” he says, though there’s a sting in his voice. “I can’t change the past, but… I’m here now. I’m not gonna just… walk away.”
The words linger between you, both of you knowing the weight they carry. You’ve heard promises like this before. You’ve heard them from your mother, from people who were supposed to care, and each one of those promises had turned hollow, leaving you more alone than before. So, when Tony looks at you with genuine sincerity, with a hope that you’ll give him a chance, all you can do is nod, burying any flicker of vulnerability.
As the weeks go on, Tony keeps trying. He brings you into the lab with him, walks you through his latest projects, even lets you experiment with some of the tech yourself. He drags you to burger joints at midnight, tries to coax out stories about school, hobbies, anything. Sometimes you let your guard slip, offering a sarcastic remark, a comment that makes him laugh—but the moment always passes too quickly, and you’re back behind that wall before he can push any further.
He’s persistent, though, and there’s a part of you that almost wants to give in, that wants to believe him. But your trust is a muscle you haven’t used in so long, it feels impossible to start now. So, you keep him at bay, deflecting his kindness, giving him just enough to satisfy his efforts without letting him in.
Tony doesn’t quit, though. He keeps showing up, every day, every night, and for the first time in your life, you don’t feel like someone’s just waiting for the moment they can leave.
Every morning, Tony insists on driving you to school, and it’s nothing short of a spectacle. He shows up outside Stark Tower in one of his many luxury cars, honking loudly, practically begging for attention. It’s become a routine, one you can’t escape no matter how many times you roll your eyes or tell him he doesn’t have to do it. He’s always got some snarky excuse, saying things like, “It’s my job as a dad,” or “I just want to see the kid off,” as if anyone believes he actually cares about high school protocol.
And everyone notices. Whispers trail behind you as you walk the halls, classmates you’ve known for years suddenly gawking at you like you’re a different person. They don’t know you as you anymore; they know you as Tony Stark’s kid. It’s suffocating. You’ve spent your entire life trying to stay unnoticed, to blend into the background. Now, no matter where you go, everyone’s waiting for you to crack a joke like him, to show off some kind of Stark-level genius.
Only one person seems to still see you, really see you—your best friend, Sam. You’ve known him since middle school, back when everything was simpler, when no one knew or cared who your dad was. He’s the only one who doesn’t treat you any differently now, the only person you actually trust enough to talk to about any of this.
One afternoon, you’re sitting outside on the bleachers with Sam, trying to ignore the fact that Tony’s car is already parked by the curb, waiting for you. The other students eye it like some exotic animal they don’t quite understand, but you keep your head down, just hoping the day will end without any more awkward questions or judgmental stares.
Sam nudges you. “So, uh… you still giving the old man the cold shoulder, huh?”
You sigh, avoiding his gaze. “I’m not giving him the cold shoulder. I’m just… keeping my distance.”
He rolls his eyes. “Dude, I see you with him every morning. The man looks like he’s about to recite the Gettysburg Address just to get a smile out of you. And you’re over here acting like he doesn’t exist.”
You shift uncomfortably, crossing your arms. “He’s only doing it because he feels obligated, Sam. It’s Tony Stark. He doesn’t actually care about me.”
Sam raises an eyebrow. “You really believe that? You think he’s the kind of guy who’d waste his time on someone he doesn’t care about?”
You don’t answer, but you can feel Sam’s eyes on you, cutting through all your defenses. He’s always been able to read you better than anyone, and right now, that’s the last thing you want.
“He’s trying, Y/N,” Sam continues, his voice softer. “Like, really trying. And I get it. I get that you’ve been burned, but… maybe give him a chance? Just talk to him. It’s not like he’s gonna run off if you tell him what’s going on.”
You look away, jaw clenched as you try to shake off the knot of emotion tightening in your chest. You don’t want to admit that Sam might be right. Letting someone in, giving someone a chance—that’s always been a dangerous game, one you’re not sure you can afford to play again.
That night, you’re lying awake in your room, staring at the ceiling, Sam’s words playing on a loop in your mind. The silence around you feels heavy, pressing down on you, and you can’t shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, you owe Tony more than you’ve been giving him. You’ve seen his effort, the way he tries to connect with you, even when you push him away. He’s there, every day, waiting for you, and no one has ever done that before.
Something shifts in you, a kind of tired resignation, and before you can talk yourself out of it, you get up and head downstairs to his workshop.
Tony’s hunched over a table, tinkering with some gadget, and he barely notices you at first. It’s only when you clear your throat that he looks up, surprise flickering across his face before he masks it with a smile.
“Hey, kid,” he says, setting down his tools. “Couldn’t sleep?”
You shrug, suddenly feeling the weight of what you’re about to say. “Yeah, I just… I wanted to talk to you about something.”
He raises an eyebrow, a mixture of curiosity and concern on his face. He gestures to a nearby chair. “Go ahead. I’m all ears.”
You sit, staring at your hands as you try to find the right words. For a long time, there’s only silence between you, the air thick with tension. Finally, you take a deep breath, forcing yourself to speak.
“I know I’ve been… difficult,” you begin, your voice barely above a whisper. “And I know you’re trying. It’s just… it’s not easy for me.”
Tony watches you intently, not interrupting, his expression softer than you’ve ever seen it. You look down, focusing on your hands, the words spilling out before you can stop them.
“When I was a kid, my mom was all I had. I thought… I thought she cared about me, even if she didn’t always show it. But she changed, especially after she started seeing this guy. Travis. He wasn’t… he wasn’t a good person, Tony. He… he made sure I knew I wasn’t wanted.” Your voice breaks slightly, but you push through it, feeling the old wounds tear open. “He told me I was a burden, that I was just in the way. And my mom, she… she just let it happen. She barely even looked at me by the end.”
Tony’s face darkens, his jaw clenched as he listens, but he stays silent, letting you continue.
“I learned not to trust people,” you say, voice wavering. “Every time I thought someone would stick around, they didn’t. So I stopped… I stopped letting people in. I told myself it was easier that way.”
You look up at him, and for the first time, there’s no mask, no shield—just raw vulnerability, something you haven’t allowed yourself to feel in years.
“And then I showed up here,” you say, your voice barely a whisper now. “And you… you keep trying. You keep showing up, every day, like you actually care. And it’s… it’s confusing, okay? Because part of me wants to believe it, but the other part…” You trail off, wiping away a tear that slips down your cheek.
Tony doesn’t hesitate. He reaches over, placing a hand on your shoulder, grounding you, letting you know he’s there. “Y/N,” he says softly, his voice rough with emotion. “I can’t change what you went through. I can’t go back and fix it, as much as I wish I could. But I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere.”
You meet his gaze, and there’s something in his eyes that you’ve never seen before—a fierce, unwavering resolve that feels almost foreign. You swallow hard, feeling the weight of his words sink in, feeling the tiniest flicker of hope spark to life.
“It’s not easy for me,” you murmur. “It’s… it’s hard for me to trust people. And I know I’m not the easiest person to be around. But… I want to try. I want to believe you. I just… I need you to be patient with me. I need you to not give up on me.”
Tony nods, his hand still resting on your shoulder, steady and reassuring. “Hey,” he says, his voice breaking a little. “I’m not giving up on you, kid. Not now, not ever. You’re my son, and I’m here for the long haul. However long it takes, okay?”
The words settle around you, a warmth you haven’t felt in years. You don’t have to say anything; he seems to understand, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze before he lets go. And in that moment, something in you softens, just a little, like maybe you can let him in.
For the first time, you allow yourself to believe him, to believe that maybe he really won’t walk away. And even though the walls around your heart don’t come down all at once, you feel them start to crack, piece by piece, letting a little light seep in.
After that night, things start to change. It’s slow, gradual, like thawing ice, but there’s a noticeable shift between you and Tony. You’re still guarded, still wary of letting him all the way in, but he doesn’t push. He just keeps showing up, every day, every night, just like he promised. And slowly, piece by piece, you let him in.
The first time you ask to work on something together, Tony practically beams. You’re sitting at the kitchen counter with your physics homework in front of you—normally a breeze, something you’d get done in a few minutes. But today, you’ve left a few problems untouched, hoping he’ll notice.
Sure enough, Tony glances over your shoulder and raises an eyebrow. “Need a hand with that?” he asks, and there’s a careful lightness to his voice, like he’s trying to keep things casual, so he doesn’t scare you off.
You shrug, trying to act indifferent. “Sure, if you’ve got time,” you say, even though both of you know you could solve this on your own without breaking a sweat. But Tony doesn’t call you out on it. He just grabs a chair, pulls it over, and sits down next to you, leaning in to look at your work.
For the next hour, the two of you go over formulas and theories, his explanations coming with a few sarcastic quips and exaggerated hand gestures. Every so often, he goes off on a tangent, telling you stories about his own time in high school or sharing a strange fact he thinks will help you remember a concept. You listen, half-smiling at his antics, and eventually even throw in a few of your own sarcastic comments. You can tell he’s trying not to make a big deal out of it, but there’s a spark in his eyes that tells you he’s thrilled to be here, helping you, no matter how small the reason.
As the days go by, you find yourself spending more and more time in Tony’s workshop. It becomes your safe space, the place where you don’t feel like you have to hide or put up walls. Tony lets you explore, handing you tools and explaining how they work, guiding you through his more complicated inventions. It’s like learning a new language, one he’s eager to teach you, and he’s a surprisingly patient teacher.
One afternoon, he’s working on a new suit upgrade, and you’re watching, silently impressed by how smoothly he moves, how every action is precise and practiced. You’re deep in thought when he glances over at you, smirking.
“Thinking of joining the family business?” he jokes, tossing you a wrench. “If you’re interested, I could always use an extra pair of hands.”
You catch the wrench, feeling a rare, genuine smile tug at the corners of your mouth. “Maybe I will,” you say, feeling a rush of warmth that’s unfamiliar but not unwelcome.
He shows you how to tighten a piece of armor plating, explaining each step with a casual ease that you find yourself getting lost in. There’s something oddly comforting about the way he talks, like he’s sharing a secret only the two of you understand. And as you work, side by side, you realize that you actually look forward to these moments, the quiet companionship that comes from working together on something you both enjoy.
One evening, you catch yourself staring at your chemistry textbook, pages open to a particularly dull section on thermodynamics. Normally, you’d power through it on your own, but tonight, you feel the familiar tug of loneliness creeping in, and before you know it, you’re on your feet, heading down to Tony’s lab.
When you reach the doorway, he looks up, surprised, then quickly wipes the expression off his face and pretends to be engrossed in his latest project. “What’s up?” he asks, as casually as he can manage.
You hold up the textbook, pretending to be annoyed. “This stuff is terrible. Thought maybe you could explain it better than my teacher does.”
Tony raises an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Well, I’m honored to know you think so highly of my teaching skills.” He gestures for you to sit down, and as you do, he starts flipping through the pages of your book. “Thermodynamics, huh? You sure you’re not just here for the riveting conversation?”
You roll your eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
But you both know the truth, and there’s an unspoken understanding between you as he dives into the material. He doesn’t just lecture; he makes it a story, breaking down each concept with analogies, acting out scenarios, and throwing in enough jokes to keep you both entertained. You throw in questions just to keep him talking, just so you don’t have to go back to your empty room just yet.
And somewhere along the way, you realize you’re not just learning about science. You’re learning about him—about his quirks, his sense of humor, the way he lights up when he’s talking about things he’s passionate about. He’s not just Tony Stark, billionaire genius, Iron Man. He’s… Tony, your dad, someone who, against all odds, actually seems to care about you.
Over time, you both fall into a rhythm. Tony starts waiting for you in the mornings, holding out a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, claiming he needs company on his drive to work. You never say it, but you look forward to those mornings, the way he fills the car with stories about his latest projects or about old college pranks he pulled that make you laugh in spite of yourself.
One day, you’re both hunched over a set of schematics in his lab, tossing ideas back and forth as you brainstorm a new design for a stabilizer that could potentially improve flight control in his suits. You’re getting so into it that you forget to be guarded, throwing out suggestions, bouncing thoughts off each other in rapid-fire succession.
At one point, Tony stops, leaning back in his chair to look at you with a smirk. “You know,” he says, a touch of pride in his voice, “you’re pretty damn good at this. Got that Stark brain for sure.”
You feel a warmth spread through you, and for the first time, you don’t brush it off. “Maybe,” you say, smiling despite yourself. “But I guess it helps when you have a good teacher.”
Tony chuckles, but there’s a glimmer of emotion in his eyes, something raw and unguarded. “Yeah, well… you’re not a bad student either.”
There’s a moment of silence as the two of you look at each other, an understanding passing between you that doesn’t need words. You know he’s trying, and somehow, that knowledge makes the walls around your heart crumble just a little bit more.
A few days later, you’re working on homework in the living room when Tony walks in, holding a set of blueprints he’s obviously excited about. But when he sees you bent over your books, he pauses, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
“Hey, need some help?” he asks, raising an eyebrow.
You look up, raising an eyebrow back at him. “With calculus? Pretty sure I’ve got this covered.”
He shrugs, feigning offense. “I’ll have you know I was quite the calculus prodigy back in the day.”
“Oh, yeah?” You smirk, half-teasing. “Care to prove it?”
Tony grins, and before you know it, he’s pulled up a chair, leaning over your work with the same intensity he brings to his inventions. You pretend to need help with a few problems, and he’s more than happy to guide you through them, throwing in jokes and sarcastic comments the whole way. Every so often, he nudges your shoulder, grinning like he’s just scored a victory when he catches you smiling.
Eventually, he lets out an exaggerated sigh. “Well, I think we’ve both learned a lot today,” he says, stretching dramatically.
“Yeah,” you reply, smirking. “Like the fact that you’re worse at calculus than I am.”
Tony gapes, clutching his chest in mock hurt. “Unbelievable. Betrayed by my own son. This is a new low.”
You chuckle, shaking your head, and for the first time, it feels easy. Comfortable. Like maybe, just maybe, you don’t have to keep fighting him off.
“Hey,” Tony says, his tone shifting to something softer. “Thanks for letting me in. I know it wasn’t easy.”
You meet his gaze, feeling that familiar vulnerability creeping in, but this time, you don’t shy away. “Thanks for not giving up,” you reply quietly. “I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with.”
Tony chuckles, reaching over to ruffle your hair. “Nah, you’re a piece of cake. Besides, I’ve got a lot of time to make up for.”
You smile, a real one this time, feeling a warmth settle in your chest. For the first time, you allow yourself to hope that maybe, just maybe, things are going to be okay.
It’s supposed to be a routine mission. Just another intel-gathering run, in and out, with minimal risk. Tony had waved it off as no big deal before he left, throwing you a smirk and saying, “Just another day in the office.” But that was hours ago. And now, as you sit in the dim glow of the living room, watching the news report blaring on the screen, dread twists deep in your gut.
You watch the shaky footage of Iron Man fighting, and this time, it’s different. He’s outnumbered, missiles tearing through the air, beams of energy slicing through the smoke and chaos. The news anchor’s voice breaks as they report the intensity of the fight, how Iron Man was last seen plunging out of the sky after a heavy hit. For a terrifying moment, you catch a glimpse of him falling, his suit battered, smoking, before the feed cuts out entirely.
Your heart stops, and a painful tightness fills your chest. The hours that follow are a blur of pacing, every second dragging longer than the last. You’re used to him going out on missions, used to the danger that comes with being Tony Stark’s son. But this… this is different. This isn’t the usual playful bravado, the usual cocky promises that he’ll be home for dinner. This is life or death, and for the first time, you’re faced with the horrifying thought that he might not make it back.
After what feels like an eternity, the front door finally opens. You spin around, heart pounding, and there he is, looking worse for wear but alive. He’s moving a bit stiffly, his armor scratched and dented, his face smudged with dirt and a few new cuts. But he’s here.
Before he can say a word, you rush toward him, the flood of relief hitting you so hard that you barely register the fact that you’re moving, throwing yourself into his arms. Your grip is tight, like if you let go, he’ll disappear. You don’t even realize you’re trembling until you feel his arms close around you, holding you just as tightly.
“Hey, hey,” Tony says, his voice soft, touched with surprise but warm. “I’m okay, kid. I’m here.”
You pull back just enough to look at him, your eyes shining with unshed tears, and he’s looking at you with an expression so full of gentle understanding that it makes you feel like a kid again, vulnerable and desperate. Without thinking, the word slips out, raw and unguarded.
“Dad…” you whisper, voice breaking slightly, “don’t ever… don’t ever do that again. I thought… I thought I was going to lose you.”
Tony’s face softens, his own eyes welling up. He’s silent for a moment, as if he’s savoring the word, the weight of it finally hitting home. His hand comes up to rest on your shoulder, his grip firm but gentle, grounding you.
“I’m sorry,” he murmurs, his voice rough with emotion. “I didn’t mean to scare you like that. But I’m here, okay? I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere.”
You nod, the tears slipping down your cheeks now, and Tony pulls you in again, holding you tightly, his hand running gently over your back. It’s the first time you’ve let yourself fully embrace him, the first time you’ve allowed yourself to lean into his strength, to accept the warmth he’s been trying so hard to offer. And as you stand there, held in his arms, a sense of peace settles over you, soft and comforting, melting the last of your walls away.
After a long moment, he pulls back just enough to meet your gaze, a tear slipping down his own cheek as he smiles, eyes bright. “You called me ‘Dad,’” he says softly, his voice full of wonder, as if he’s just received the greatest gift in the world.
You give a small, watery smile, wiping at your eyes. “Yeah, well… don’t get used to it,” you mumble, but there’s no heat behind the words, only affection, only gratitude.
He chuckles, pulling you back into a hug, and you feel his hand rest on the back of your head, his grip firm and reassuring. “I’m already used to it,” he whispers, his voice thick with emotion. “And I’m not letting you go, kid. Not ever.”
In that moment, you realize that this is what home feels like—right here, safe in his arms, with nothing left to fear.

I'm gonna toss your tags on here, too, since I'm kind-of responding to that, as well.

The amount of times I started an AU and it went WILDLY in a different direction than I thought are too numerous to count. Half the time I start an AU it's out of some level of bitterness or spite towards something I didn't like and then I spend a lot of time on those questions that are like "Wait would this character ACTUALLY do that? Is that ACTUALLY how they'd likely react?" and of course the most frustrating "Is that actually how I WANT them to react?"
My Caretaker Luke AU was supposed to basically be a very bitter answer to the question of what would happen if Vader actually survived ROTJ, and then ultimately it became an exploration of what might actually help Anakin HEAL in that situation, what would it take to truly help someone like him genuinely come back from that darkness he'd stewed in for almost three decades (because no matter what kind of sacrifices he made, there's NO WAY he'd be completely snapped back to being a good person if he survived, that bitch is STRUGGLING). I made an Obitine AU that looked at how miserable Obi-Wan would've been if he'd actually stayed with Satine and married her when he was in his teens and that ALSO ended up with an exploration of how to save Anakin (though for different reasons this time). Sometimes these fuckers have a mind of their own and the more I take myself down that rabbit hole the further from my original concept I seem to get. It's not always a bad thing, often it's still really fun, but it's such a weird experience to look back at all this work you've done and not quite understand how you even GOT here when this isn't where you thought you were going when you started.
I made a point in the last AU I came up with to just... ignore some of those questions to focus on what I WANTED to happen (in this case, I was ignoring how Padme realized Anakin wasn't good for her and how she managed to actually escape him and that relationship and what path Anakin went down afterwards as a result because I just wanted to focus on Padme's NEW relationship and how that helped HER heal). Why did things happen? Because I wanted them to, next question.
And while I'm not a writer really by any means, it seems like a lot of writing is just... finding a balance between following that rabbit hole and seeing where it leads, and knowing when to say "This thing happens because I want it to in order for the next thing to happen." Not everything NEEDS an explanation, but it can help YOU to flesh out the culture and its intricacies and where certain traditions and feelings came from in order to lend a feeling of authenticity to the story even if you never actually explain any of it in the final draft. Even if you don't end up using any of the purity culture stuff you put in your last reblog, hopefully it was still helpful to think about how you might answer some of those questions and work through what parts are important to keep and which parts you think ultimately don't work.
I found your thoughts on how the clones might end up feeling about the idea that their "species" as such might eventually disappear really interesting! I also personally tend to think of them as their own "species" in a lot of ways, but that's usually for my own internal purposes rather than a way to consider how the CLONES think of themselves. I often have only really considered how the clones differentiate themselves in terms of their lived experiences and not necessarily in terms of their physical differences. They're obviously visibly human and would pass as human to most people and I imagine there's probably plenty of clones who would prefer to simply be considered a slightly augmented human rather than considered a whole separate species, while other clones would prefer the opposite.
I really respect your willingness to consider how the clones might end up with problematic values as a result of their experiences, to give them qualities you would personally consider unlikable. I'm not quite as good at that, so I really admire the way you work through some of that, even if you ultimately decide you don't like it and don't want to use it in your worldbuilding.
I've decided that Rex is the one who paints Kanan's eye mask with his bird of prey design.
Kanan's feeling pretty low still just after Malachor, he's still distancing himself from everybody, and Rex decides to go try to talk to him at one point and the first thing he comes up with to say is to point out that his new mask is pretty plain. It's awkward, he regrets it immediately, but then Kanan says that it gets the job done and Rex is abruptly reminded of himself so so long ago back at the beginning of the war.
He sits Kanan down and tells him a story about how, at the beginning of the war, only a few of the clones had paint on their armor, to designate things like rank and battalion in order to make it easier for officers to find them in the middle of a busy battlefield. The paint was practical and it was limited to a very select few. But the Jedi almost immediately started trying to encourage the clones to utilize the paint less sparingly, suggesting that maybe everybody could wear at least a LITTLE paint and use more individualized designs so that it was still easy to tell the commanders and captains apart from the others when needed.
Some of the clones had taken to it with gusto, but others had been more hesitant, and Rex remembers having been one of them. He remembers telling Obi-Wan that there was no real REASON to paint everyone's armor and especially not to come up with personal designs. The armor was practical and it served its purpose with or without the paint and special designs. But the Jedi had insisted on at least TRYING to come up with his own design and if he didn't like it, he could always take it off, so Rex had given in and chosen something to paint on the armor. And, somehow, it felt a little lighter the next time he put it on. It didn't erase the horrors of war or the pain of loss or anything like that, but it helped.
He tells Kanan that the mask right now is just a reminder of the pain of the injury and whatever other feelings he's still got all caught up in the Malachor mission (guilt over what happened with Ezra, grief over Ahsoka's loss). But if he puts his own design on it, it might turn the mask into something other than a constant reminder of something bad. Instead, it's a reminder of who he is, the combination of the person he once was and who he's become. He is more than just his injury or this mission and he can use the mask to declare that if he wants to.
Kanan says he never realized Rex and the other clones had cared so deeply about their armor and Rex says that the armor itself was meaningless. It's better than what's being handed out to stormtroopers, but not but a LOT. It was the design on it that had meant something and, more than that, it was what the design REPRESENTED: having a choice about how you were perceived by others.
Kanan asks why Rex had chosen his particular designs, the bird of prey eyes on his helmet in particular. Rex explains that he chose it because he liked birds and thought it looked cool, but he's kept the helmet for as long as he has because it's come to mean something ELSE now. It's not just a cool-looking design, it's a reminder of a better time in his life. It's a reminder of when he'd been a part of something greater than himself, with the other clones and the Jedi. It's a reminder of a time when he'd had hope that he and his people could one day come out the other side of this war towards a brighter future.
Kanan looks at the mask he'd grabbed from storage somewhere or something just to keep light from hurting his eyes as they recovered and to cover up the injury from other people's stares (even if he couldn't see them staring), then hands it to Rex and asks if Rex minds sharing that symbol because he'd like a reminder of that, too. Rex remembers the 332nd and their helmets that they'd painted to look like their chosen Jedi, almost blindly giving away their individuality in favor of that loyalty that had been stripped from them anyway. And then he looks at Kanan, choosing to make himself look LIKE REX, someone who had shared his face with millions once, because he wants to honor both the connections he'd lost as well as this new connection the two of them have built together now. And Rex says he'd be happy to share.

-Gaz and Price sleep shirtless to lessen discomfort around their wings
-When the 141 sleep in a pile, Price tends to try cover them all with his remaining wing. It's a subconscious dragon thing done out of protective instinct for a hoard.
-Soap is scared of heights. His inner wolf is very uncomfortable not being on the ground.
-Currently, Price is the only person Simon is okay with being fully shirtless/naked around.
