DAY 29- NECLUDA BAY MONSTER CAMP
In true npc dialogue, Penn the crisis reporter drops a lore bomb and flies away without any extracurricular detail. Truly, a king.
(This totk au is called Familiar Familiar! It all started when Zelda did NOT get sent back in time.)

Day 33– Hatteno Village
Welcome to Hatteno Village! They like to insist Link and Zelda are their local cryptids.
(Wanna see more of this totk au? It’s called familiar familiar and it’s a what-if-zelda-doesn’t-go-back-in-time and then spiralled into crit-rewrites-totk-into-a-self-indulgent-botw-continuation)
((Wanna support me? Check out my patreon for sketches and early access! Remember to use web or android folks, apple charges 30 percent tax.))

I’m proud to identify as morosexual. I’m attracted to dumbasses and dumbasses exclusively. A guy asked me what the Spanish word for tortilla was once and now I dream of kissing him under the moonlight

Hey you know what sucks is predatory companies that make you enter your email address so that they can harass and advertise to you to access resources you might need to keep track of expenses after a disaster. So, uh, fuck them.
If you need to track the cost of things like hotel stays, pet kenneling, medical care, etc. after a disaster you can use this worksheet.
If you need to create an inventory of your home for an insurance claim (and if you'd like to do this to keep someplace safe before a disaster) you can use this worksheet (two pages, instructions on the first page, worksheet on the second).
And here's a FEMA document with numbers for disaster relief groups and a checklist of documents that you may need to have replaced as well as a description of what to do if you had cash in your home that was destroyed and can possibly be replaced.

A few weeks ago I ran out of my antidepressants and I thought to myself: "let's see how long I can go without antidepressants" because I like challenging myself and I like doing difficult things
I cannot stress how bad this idea was. please do not be like me. I have gained nothing from this experience, I don't know what I was thinking I would gain. there is no glory in suffering
I should go take my meds

we usually think of mood as a scale from 1-5, but there's actually a negative scale too, where the frown turns back into a smile, but just a little insane !

Apparently this needs to be said so
Forgetting things is morally neutral! Memory issues are morally neutral!
You're not a bad person if you...
forget things quickly
forget people
can't remember entire stages of your life
can't remember important things
can remember some things very well and forget other things all the time
can't remember things (or anything!) about your interests
forget to eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, etc
forget to reply to texts
remember things and immediately forget them again
can't remember birthdays, events, etc
frequently answer 'I forgot' to questions
can't retain new information
forget things you used to know
only remember things when it's too late
have vague, distorted and/or unreliable memories
depend on others to know how an event you were in played out
have other symptoms that are worsened by memory issues and vice versa
... and anything else I might have missed!

hey so Los Angeles is in crisis right now.
Multiple concurrent wildfires are happening, two of which are extremely devastating. The Palisades Fire, which at this time is the deadliest wildfire in LA history, has burned 18 square miles worth of land and destroyed over 1,000 structures. The Eaton Fire has burned over 10,000 acres. And the Santa Ana winds are rapidly escalating the fires to where containment at this time is borderline nonexistent and firefighters are at a loss for what to do. People have died. The air is extremely hard to breathe from smoke. Elderly, disabled and transient populations are at great risk. Even 20 miles south and 30 miles west of the Palisades and Eaton Fires, the smoke is so bad that there are air quality alerts and the moon is red at night. These have been called “catastrophic urban firestorms” and the people affected need your compassion.
If you are directly affected by the Eaton or Palisades Fires, here is a list of safe evacuation centers:
photo credit: Adelettes2 on Twitter/X (retrieved from Google)
The DreamCenter is also taking evacuees.
I’ll reblog when I can with more information for shelters but in the meantime please signal boost and add your own information if and when possible.

There’s a bunch of right-wing people posting memes about “”DOGE”” making the government more efficient by removing funding from “”dumb bug researchers”” and I am now realizing how little the average person knows about entomology and its importance
Excuse me while I get sad .
