Taking advantage of a bonus day off to meta about my spy son and his relationship with his Sith gf. :D

It was really interesting with Arkady's run through SoR and RotE, watching his opinion on Lana change. When I started the prelude stuff, I wasn't sure they were going to work, considering he's... not the biggest fan of the Sith. (refresher: he grew up on Ziost and watched a Sith kill his best friend as a teen for "mouthing off". [read: not groveling enough] There was no punishment or anything bc that's The Sith's Right as Superior Beings and he's always been quietly furious about that.) And he was suspicious of Lana at first. But much as I hate the "you're not like other [X]" trope, it does sort of apply here.

Lana is far more practical, level headed, and open minded than any other Sith he's met. And, more importantly, she doesn't act like she's superior simply for being Sith. She listens to his insight, acknowledges and even compliments his skill(and others'). And not in the flattering, hope-to-distract-you way Darth Arkous does; her praise is genuine. That she trusts him with her concerns says volumes to Arkday and goes a long way towards softening his opinion, as does her willingness to work with Theron from Depths of Manaan onward. She's cunning, subtle, and patient, and all those are things he admires.

There is, admittedly, a bit of a setback in his opinion after her "let Theron get captured" stunt on Rishi; the events of the Agent story have made him really sensitive to anything that resembles betrayal from within or not being able to trust your own team. He does insist she apologize, even if he can see her logic. Trust is paramount in something like this. Still, he can appreciate her ability to assess the situation, weigh risk/cost against benefits and make a call quickly in the field, even if he emphatically disagrees with that call.

She's invaluable, and picks up spycraft so quickly he's pretty sure she would have made an amazing operative if she didn't have the Force and get claimed by the Sith. In turn, he's not shy about telling her that. He thinks she's doing an impressive job with the limitations of not knowing who to trust, the lack of resources that includes, and the immensity of what they're facing. By the time they get to the end of Yavin 4 and the aftermath of fighting Revan/the Emperor's escape, he's a a big fan of This One Sith in particular, and has no problem with Marr putting her in charge of Sith Intelligence(even if he rankles at the general concept; he's gone free agent, this doesn't affect him xD). He is, in fact, effusive in his support of this, encouraging to her before they part, and quite saddened by the thought of how long it might be before their paths cross again(if ever). He likes her quite a bit.

In RotE, I was worried I was setting him up for no smooch bc he only took the flirts that seemed in character, and I know pub-side you have to take them all to get a Theron smooch. Lana is not so picky. xD Even if it wasn't Lana asking, he would have jumped to help seeing as Ziost is his home planet. (WHOOPS 😬) He didn't take the first flirt, no matter how glad he was to see her, bc it didn't feel right, under the circumstances. He gets the rundown on what's happening and her plan for dealing with it and backs her immediately. "If that's what you think we should do, we'll do it." He does think she's in over her head, but only bc the chaos unfolding on Ziost would be over anyone's head, even if they were standing on someone else's shoulders. Fortunately, since both he and Theron are here to help, that's three of them and maybe they can get one of their heads above water, so to speak.

It does, of course, only reinforce his general dislike of Sith as power-hungry tyrants(Lana and Marr being literally the only exceptions to this in his experience). He very deliberately doesn't say anything about the fact Theron had to modify the "pacification" weapon to be non-lethal(meaning it was lethal to start. :) The Sith were willing to kill their own people :) for expressing discontent. :)) Lana, do you see where he might have a problem?). There are bigger fish to fry. Like Vitiate.

Master Surro proved another ~Arkady Disapproves~ moment wrt Lana. Having had his mind played with and prodded, he's not inclined to let that happen to anyone, even if she is a Jedi. Lana, of course, thinks he and Theron are soft-hearted and irresponsible for not following what they could learn from this. Arkady doesn't think it will be worth it(who's to say there's any evidence of what Vitiate did or how he took/maintained control? You could break or kill her and gain nothing and she's been through enough.) [PS. He didn't say anything in KotFE ch 4 about Valkorion being in his head. This moment right here is why]

Even with that leaving a sour taste in his mouth, and the fact their big, last-gasp plan does not seem to have worked for more than ten seconds, he still admires her. She kept the Sith Emperor from taking over her mind, thought and acted decisively under extreme pressure(hot), worked well with other even with personal friction, and did the best she could with an impossible situation. When they fail, and Ziost is devoured (and he sure feels Some Kind of Way about that, even if he didn't have a lot of fond memories of home, it was home), Lana acknowledges the failure, figuratively dusts herself off, and thinks about what to do going forward.

It's very sexy, to him, the way she never seems daunted and presses on regardless. Of course he's not going to let her do it alone. Of course he's going to help. However she needs.

This method of helping is 100% fine with him. :3

I may do a separate post about their KotFE/ET era relationship (making it official etc) once he's further along than KotFE ch 5, but I will say: after the nightmares Arkady went through in carbonite, Lana's face being the first one he saw coming out of it was an immeasurable relief.

I think it actually would have been faster to say Tamaki, Kyoya, and Mori XD (kidding) I decided to do headcanons since I rarely write one shots with multiple characters and I couldn’t think of how to do it.

Characters: Tamaki Suoh, Kyoya Ootori, Morinozuka Takashi

Tamaki

Tamaki is easily the most obvious with his crush, but he’s also the one you’re least likely to believe is telling the truth when he flirts with you. As a princely character who romances girls for fun (and profit) and is adored by the entire female population, you don’t really believe he could fall for a commoner like you. Surely he’d fall for a girl from a richer family and not someone there on scholarship.

You’re not particularly bothered when a pair of your favorite panties go missing- probably just lost in the wash or something. Never would you even consider the possibility that Tamaki would break into your house while you’re at your part-time job and steal your underwear to wrap around his cock while he strokes it, picturing you beneath him or maybe riding him…

He gets frustrated by the way you’re so oblivious to his true intentions, but he can’t find a way to really get you to take him seriously. You just laugh or roll your eyes when he confesses. You’re breaking his heart, you know!

Kyoya

Kyoya doesn’t come out and say he has a crush on you, neither does he flirt or make his feelings known. To be honest, he’s a little ashamed that he’s fallen for a commoner like you. His father would never approve.

But you’re so cute, with your happy little smile as you greet him, how you talk to him like a normal person and not someone intimidated by his cold, manipulative demeanor. Although he would never admit it to anyone, he has daydreams about you. From grandeur wedding fantasies, to wondering how your body would look under your white wedding dress on the start of your honeymoon. He’s not usually a sexual person, so this is really shameful to him.

Don’t worry though, he’ll keep this all to himself. That is, until he’s got you cornered and you have no choice but to submit to him.

Mori

Mori is another one that it’d be hard to tell he likes you. He’s so quiet, but soon enough he’s standing guard over you like you’re royalty. He follows you everywhere like a shadow, but you think nothing of it. Surely he does this to everyone (not that he’d have time to). He even walks you home, but maybe that’s because he wants to be friends! You’re so friendly and sweet to him that it’s no wonder he’d want to be companions.

Mori isn’t really a sexual person, but he gets frequent hard-ons when you’re around. You have such an oblivious nature that you frequently forget to be careful around a man. When you’re outside of school, in a skirt, you don’t think twice about picking up items from the floor, giving Mori a view of what’s underneath it. You jump up and down without realizing it’s making certain parts of your body jiggle. It’s like you’re trying to tempt him!

But you’re poor, a commoner, an outcast- the idea that Mori would want to be so close to you is laughable, or so you think. In reality, he cares least of all what kind of background you have, especially when he can provide for you, if only you’d give him a chance.

a bunch of random headcanons for simpbur that i thought of !! (all under the cut because there is a lot...)

his birthday is december 11 and his height is 5'4 (this is actually canon but im including it anyways)

he goes by he/they/she (in order of preference). he's genderfluid, but more masc aligned. he is also bisexual and horribly closeted (the closet is as clear as glass)

he is neurodivergent, he also suffers from lots of anxiety. he is very anti-social

he and liliana (the e-girl) were both just not great for each other. it was not just simp being toxic to the e girl, but she was toxic to him as well to a certain extent. she isnt a bad person, and neither was simpbur, they were just a pair that wouldnt work out

part of the reason why simpbur is so insecure abt himself is bc liliana tends to be a judgemental person. she has standards that simp didnt meet, and that made him go into the mindset of changing himself to suit what she liked. however, this failed and they ended up breaking things off instead

his breakup with liliana destroyed simpbur's mental health, especially with him being a very fragile person to begin with. this is where his obsession began due to still having a very strong attachment with what he once had with her, along with having extreme jealousy over the thought of her being successful in life with someone other than him

his favorite vape flavor is bubblegum. he would smoke cigarettes, but he doesn't like the smell, and he just prefers vapes

he is horrible with being responsible with his money. even though he struggles to pay rent and works a minimum wage job, he usually spends his money on games and anime stuff

he doesn't usually express his style much outside in public, but he likes experimenting a lot with outfits at home, especially ones that aren't typically masculine

he's secretly a furry and has a fursona. he usually acts as if he thinks furries or cringe, but he would have anon alt accounts where he'd look at furries online and talk about how cute they are

his feelings towards his body changes depending on his mood. although he doesn't completely mind being assigned amab, he does wish he looked more feminine, or at the very least androgynous

at a certain point in his life, he denied his femininity and attempted to retain a super masculine appearance and personality. it didn't make him happy, instead it made him more insecure

he grew to be good at stalking, even learning strategies to keep himself hidden or quiet, along with learning how to unlock windows or doors. he thought he was insane for doing it at first, but he's grown more used to it being a routine

his eyes are actually dark brown. i just draw them pink because it's just an artistic choice i like in his design

he has sharp canine teeth

he says "im gonna kms :3" and makes all kinds of self-deprecating jokes very often

he often writes random songs in his diary and sings to himself/plays guitar in his room. it's very comforting for him, as its a form of coping

even tho he dislikes his voice, he's very good at singing (insert the entirety of the e-girl trilogy here)

hii! I figured I should make a post like this even though I have a feeling it will be like super messy xD

I've had an interest in history, specifically World War II basically since I was a kid. It was only recently though that I found out that there's a community for it! I've always had a thing with expressing my interests in ways that may seem slightly odd to other people, so it feels nice to see that there are others who seem to experience this in similar ways :3

I want to make it very clear that I am NOT a nazi or rightwing in any way, and I don't want actual (neo-)nazis to interact with my blog, seriously get the fuck out. Similarly, I don't want racists, lgbtq-phobes, ableists, religious extremists, pedos & zoos or people of similarly disgusting kind to interact. I'm literally queer and possibly neurodivergent (undiagnosed/suspected bc getting a therapy place is hard :/), this is really not a place for you. Also no Putin and/or Trump supporters preferably.

I've been a fan of the Downfall parodies on youtube when I was younger and recently relapsed into this fixation😭 I don't know if this fandom even really exists at this point since it seems that many creators have left in the meantime, but I'd love to talk about it, maybe I'll even get to write fanfics at some point. Also a short disclaimer that when I talk about historical figures that play a major role in the Downfall parody universe (such as Fegelein, Krebs, Burgdorf etc), it will usually be about their parody selves, not the real people! I'll try to clarify that individually if needed though.

I've also started lurking a little in the reichblr tag with a feeling that I'd describe as "indimidated fascination". Currently I'm mostly interested in some members of the Wehrmacht, but other historical figures that I had or have an interest in might come up as well. Overall any stuff that I post will probably go more into the lighthearted and humorous direction, but I'd love to bring in some more educational stuff as well.

I get crushes on fictional characters and sometimes historical figures too, but that doesn't mean I support, condone or defend their worldviews or actions in any way (this applies especially to real people of course)! These "crushes" usually stem from a place of fascination with who they were behind their public appearance, I want to know more about them as a private person, like their hobbies, favourite food and other mundane things like that. Often it's also simply that I feel physically attracted to their appearance because I think they're handsome, either that or they give me massive gender envy (or both lmao). I don't really control on who I fixate like that, it just happens, but I hope that this will be a place for me to express those feelings in some way and find like-minded people. Though I also want to point out that not all my fixations are automatically also crushes! Usually I will mention whether they are or not, or you'll probably notice based on what kind of posts I make about them lol.

All right, bit of a late start on liveblogging tonight but let's see if we can make a little more progress on Rakha's terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day.

How you doing, Rakha?

Yep.

Some meta points to start off:

Point 1: We're reaching the point in early Act 3 where a lot of things start happening very fast for a little while. We have two back-to-back pretty important long rest things that can happen here - Orin's infiltration and Wyll's showdown with Mizora. As I learned on Hector's run, Wyll's showdown takes priority on the next long rest if you have talked to her after the coronation, but for Rakha I think I'd like to have Orin's shit happen before anything else.

While I am mostly trying to be pretty loyal to in-game events for Rakha without manipulating things too much, I am going to do a little metagaming here to line everything up in the order I want it to happen.

The ficlet I posted earlier today is set the night after the Gortash business, which implies at least a night's rest before everything else starts going off the rails. So we're going to do a few extra things before actually LR-ing and, for story purposes, say they're happening the next day, and then trigger Orin's invasion afterwards. Then we'll talk to Mizora so that all of Wyll's stuff unravels afterwards.

There's no way to get to the Lower City without talking to Mizora, which limits our options somewhat. So I'm inclined to say that after everyone's pretty uncomfortable night post-Gortash-revelations, Jaheira makes the executive decision that they're heading straight to Danthelon's the next morning to get Harper backup before anyone can get into more trouble.

So we'll do that first. Maybe also Sharess's Caress, since we currently have two short rests to play with and there's only one bit of combat in Sharess's that I can think of. And then we're off to Orin Crazytown.

Point 2: With regards to the actual kidnapping - Hector had Lae'zel taken, so in an ideal world I would want to have someone else taken with Rakha. However... I really don't think Halsin or Gale or even Minthara would have nearly the same impact for Rakha as Lae'zel, so I'm going to once again do some metagaming to make sure that happens.

Because basically Act 3 is going to be about heaping more and more bullshit on Rakha and everyone around her. XD

Point 3: I don't know exactly when Wyll's romance scene pops, but the timing might end up being rather strange. I suspect his Act 3 romance is probably sweet as hell, bc it's Wyll, but as things stand right at this moment, neither Rakha nor Wyll are very much in a sweet mood.

So there is a non-zero chance that, when I reach it, I will go through it, save all the necessary caps, and then hold onto it and drop it into the story later in Act 3 when it fits better tonally. We'll play this by ear.

Point 4: The final point is that, with Hector, I definitely beelined straight for Minsc and then Orin pretty much as quick as I could, because I wanted both of them settled in camp ASAP. But with Rakha (especially since with Florrick rescued we're not under a time clock on anything), I'm going to try to be a lot more deliberate about letting her just wander into things and go where she would be inclined to go based on her own knowledge. There are three reasons for this:

I'd like to try to experience Act 3 in a slightly different order.

There's a LOT of random side crap happening in Act 3 and the easiest way to rationalize Rakha bothering with most of it is her being lost and stumbling across it while looking for something else. (That said, some less important stuff still might end up getting skipped.)

The showdown with Orin feels like it's probably a (if not the) climax point for the Durge storyline, so it seems best not to rush to it more than necessary.

So yeah. That's where my head is at on Rakha's story. :D So let's get rolling.

Preliminary: Everything We Know About He/She/It

The Cast

Mike: is a garbage person. He’s cheating on his girlfriend with his best friend, then (accidentally) kills him. 

Peem: is also Not A Great Person, because he’s knowingly helping Mike cheat. (He does not deserve to die over this.)

Pear: Mike’s girlfriend, did not deserve All Of That, hands down the best person in the entire series. Seriously. 

Meen: gossipy little bitch, acts like he was looking out for Pear, but was really just there for the drama. Does deserve All Of That. 

Drama Teacher: got way too into making these guys make out with each other. That’s all I’m gonna say. 

The Setting

This happens in the backdrop of a university drama class, because of course it does. All of these characters are messy, except Pear, who notably isn’t part of the class. 

The living situation confuses me. First I thought Mike and Peem were roommates, but I think they’re all living in dorms/apartments close to each other. (Which is convenient bc it means Mike has easy access to Peem and Pear, without the need for many excuses about where he is.) 

The Events 

Mike truly didn’t mean to kill Peem. He was angry, but he wasn’t murderous. He made a devastating mistake.

Mike does have feelings for Peem, and I think he did love him. Whether I think it’s genuine love or he just loves how Peem makes him feel… depends on how generous I’m feeling at any given time. It could really go either way. 

Peem is possessive. He’s vindictive. He knows he’s the other woman; he doesn’t like it, but he knows tolerating it is the only way he can be with Mike, but he’s going to make Pear's problem. He rubs it in her face without her even knowing, and I love that for him. 

BTS/Interview Extras 

Jeff talks about how he was playing Mike from the angle that he has an abusive and homophobic father, which is the source of his own internalized homophobia and his Thing with Peem, and the reason why he can’t let himself break up with Pear, which could have solved all of their problems. He needs to be the perfect picture of heteronormativity and masculinity. Which, word of God and all, but when viewed under that lens, does make Mike a more sympathetic character! Of course he’s terrified of anyone finding out about him. Of course he can’t love Peem. Of course he can’t even face his own sexuality. It’s very telling that in all but one of their intimate scenes, Peem is the one initiating it. Mike is always holding back, where Peem is reaching out, pushing for more. 

About working out the backstory for the character (unclear if the writer/director were involved or if this is just personal interpretation): “for family issues, given the reason that Mike’s dad hates queers, so much that he’d even physically assault them, it creates a mold that Mike needs to fit into, that he has to love a girl. And when that mold’s shaken, he loses control."

There’s a funny/cute part where they’re asking about the kissing scenes and it’s adorable, he gets so flustered xD He said he thought they would be able to do it in one take and uh… that’s not what happened. 

Another fun quote: “The hard part of playing Mike is that Mike is flirtatious, which I’m not personally. I just can’t.” Uhh… I think that’s definitely changed lol

Finally, the most important line in the series, coming from the drama teacher at the start of episode 1:

“In the real world, we don’t know who is acting. Sometimes, in the world of performing, we don’t know who’s real. Sometimes we can’t tell them apart at all.” 

This sets the stage for everything that happens moving forward. Peem and Pear don’t know if Mike’s feelings are real (and neither does he), and Mike doesn’t know if Peem is really drowning, ultimately leading to his death.

Ally

-Ally’s design is based very off her style in season one, she will always be soft colors and jean jackets to me ‘u’

- She’s wearing a guitar pick necklace, given to her by Austin :)

- They use they/she pronouns

- She's panromantic and asexual (thanks to that one person in my notes on my first hcs post, you opened my eyes, so so real).

- She was the last of the fearsome four to come out. She comes out publicly before Austin does.

- She’s a demigirl but she’s not super open about it. They won’t deny it or anything but she’s doesn’t talk about it very often.

- Ally is autistic with a special interest in music (obviously). She has misophonia (hc based on that episode where she has to fire Dallas).

- Ally and Kira are dating. Kira fell first and was the first to confess.

- They definitely listen to mostly indie pop music and I refuse to take criticism on that.

- Top Albums/Songs: Stranger in The Alps - Phoebe Bridges, Kissing Lessons - Lucy Dacus, the masquerade - mxmtoon.

Austin

- Austin is another one whose design is heavily influenced by his season one style. I don’t know why but Austin is just the color red to me so I don’t think I’ve ever drawn him in a different outfit before. His design is the only consistent one of the four XD

- Also I love making him have a shitty bleach job instead of naturally blond because it just fits him I think.

- His ears are pierced because he thought it would be cool, he and Dez went to Claires for the first set, the other two were done at an actual place. Ally told Austin about how bad piercing his ears at Claire's is after he had already gotten done - so his second and third ear piercings were done at a real piercer.

- He uses he/him pronouns although he doesn’t mind when people use they/them for him.

- He’s bisexual and the third of the fearsome four to come out.

- He and Ally broke up because they both lost feelings and their relationship was originally based on feeling like they had to date because of how closely they were working together (they just both catch feelings easily). It was a consensual decision that they would be better off as friends.

- He and Dez are dating, Dez obviously fell first but Austin confessed first.

- He and Dez always had a “not friends or best friends but a third thing” going on, their friendship was always a bit deeper than just being best friends but they didn’t acknowledge or explore it until after high school.

- They keep their relationship totally private for a while since he thinks neither Trish nor Ally can keep a secret. Austin isn’t public with their relationship for a long while since he didn’t want to come out publicly (as in to like fans).

- Austin has ADHD and he takes meds to help with focusing.

- He’s hyperfixated on the history of pop music, when the show started it was guitar but after making pop for so long it kind of evolved into pop music in general then into the history of pop music.

- His ears are pierced, done by Carrie in the cafeteria of their high school. He also has a stick and poke on their ankle done by her although it’s very faded. (From experience they’re rarely done right and will disappear rq).

- Dez uses all pronouns: he, she, they, xe, it, neopronouns - it doesn’t matter. People tend to use he/him for them but honestly, she wants people to mix it up more (projecting a bit XD)

- They’re nonbinary :3

- He’s gay and demirose (demiaroace) (projecting again). It was the first to come out of the fearsome four, coming out as bisexual sometime in middle school. It wasn’t until late high school that Dez realized they were actually gay and then didn’t realize he was demirose until a lot later.

- Dez and Carrie dated for like two weeks before they realized they weren’t actually into each other romantically, their relationship helped solidify that Dez is gay and Carrie is a lesbian (before either knew they weren’t cis btw, enby ppl are obvi included in both of their identities). - She has a nose stud and a septum as well as ear piercings (she’s had her ears pierced since she was a baby). She also has a navel piercing, the stud is a heart. Typically she wears gold hoops with her outfits.

- She uses she/her pronouns.

- She’s a lesbian and was the second of the fearsome four to come out. She came out to Dez before anyone else (they were talking about identity crises, Dez told her about Carrie and she came out to him). She came out to Ally and then Austin shortly after.

- She and Jace stayed friends. They didn’t talk for a little while after they broke up but are on good terms now. They talk pretty frequently now.

- Trish listens to mainly rap, R&B, and pop (also mostly female artists. not on purpose it just sort of happens lol).

- She is bisexual and out publicly.

- Kira and Ally are dating, Kira fell first and confessed first too. Kira started to develop feelings for her near Beach Clubs & BFFs (the KirAlly propaganda episode <333).

Carrie

- *Carrie doesn’t have a canon last name (beside Wade during Duets & Destiny 👎). The last name I gave her is just her and Piper’s actresses’ last names hyphenated (Hannah Kat Jones and Hayley Erin).

- She was my favorite to draw, oh my gosh. I fully believe she would be Decora Kei. My first drawing of her I never posted because it wasn’t quite Decora and didn’t look right XD. But I really like this design for Carrie ^u^ Decora is so fun to draw!

- Also Carrie with braces is so real, I’m drawing her with them for forever now.

- Carrie has tons of piercings, a lot of them done by herself. 3 of her ear piercings were done on their own and so was her nose piercing. Xe tried to pierce her belly button but it got really infected and she had to take it out (it left a scar :,>). It wants more face piercings but she won’t do any other face piercings alone since it would be close to her eyes (nose bridge and eyebrow piercing).

- She also has a ton of stick and pokes of varying quality. None of them are particularly big or visible.

- Carrie uses she/it/xe and all neopronouns. She really likes glitch/clown/sparks as noun pronouns though ^3^

- She is girlflux (similar to genderfluid but her gender is never masculine).

- She’s a lesbian and she came out right after breaking up with Dez (the second time).

- There were two breakups between her and Dez. The real one which was the one they had played off as a misunderstanding and the second one was the break-off of the fake relationship.

-They become friends bc of right place, right time, everyone might die XD Yuki stumbles into the pocket dimension where Laz is stuck and somehow manages to get him out (neither of them know how this happened??) Laz feels compelled to stick around and fix the pocket dimension (it will collapse and rip a hole in reality if it doesn’t have a host to sustain it) bc he’s responsible, and Yuki is really lonely and has latched onto Laz at this point and so the quest begins! They have some bonding, mainly over their struggles with all types of relationships. Laz helps Yuki to process his anger better and Yuki helps Laz to become something other than just numb. I need to give them some smaller interests to bond over eventually (feel free to suggest anything if you’ve got ideas ^^)

-Ooooh yeah he would be a music guy. He prefers the really intense songs, like more metal and hard rock. I think the band from that one episode- Digg- would fit his vibe also. But since I don’t know much about the genre in depth, this shall be vague XD

-While neither of them have too much time for these during the quest, they do still have their hobbies they like. Yuki likes music, but he also enjoys playing the drums. He will get into it after the quest, but one of his bigger hobbies will be boxing (both competitive and not, depending on the circumstance). Laz’s hobbies would mainly have come from way back when he was first “alive” and would be stuff related to water: swimming, boating, beach-going, etc. He likes the water (it was a plus of his imprisonment- very watery environment). After the quest, I could see him getting into gardening or plant-having in general.

-dhdhdjjfjfkdkdjd this is such a good question i will be stealing it to ask people now fhdhsjjdjdjd Yuki moves a bunch in biggish ways. He would shift from side to side, cross his arms then put hands on his hips, pick at his bandaids, (I didn’t show it, but he carries a bat with nails in it) swing his bat around and pretend to be hitting things, if he got bored he would make an exaggerated face; in general, he’s an expressive boy. Laz on the other hand is sort of the opposite. He is pretty fidgety but in more subtle ways: wringing his hands together, wrapping his tail around his leg then tightening it and relaxing it, glancing around quickly, perhaps pulling at the hem of his shirt; he moves to, but he tries not to draw attention to it.

-Ooh! Fun fact, the clothes Laz is wearing in his reference sheet are actually Yuki’s clothes that he had to borrow! I tried to make nods to this by having them technically be able to work for Yukis color palette but also being a part of Laz’s.

Another wardrobe fun fact is that they each have a piece of the other’s color palette on them for very specific reasons. The star on Laz’s shirt is Yukis color and shape, which is a nod to the fact that they’re borrowed. And there’s one blue charm on Yukis necklace that has quiiiiiiite the plot relevance ^^

One interaction I wanna draw for them is the scene from into the spiderverse where Peter is eating at the diner and miles is just watching. The expressions would be slightly changed but since they inspired the dynamic, I want to make some nod to that.

Hello hello! Popping in for a halloween prompt 🤭 How about a little something with Archie/Zheng? In a world where all the other corners of the polycule have met already, Archie/Zheng find they like each other quite well too ☺️

Ooooh ok ok! Neither of these are characters that I feel super comfy writing yet, so hopefully this is ok! I also ran in a little different direction with your prompts, hope that's ok XD

This is set in a modern au where Jim, Olu, Archie, and Zheng are in a polycule.

Archie stands at the airport and stares out at the cars coming and going, briefly wondering if she should pull out her phone and see if she missed Jim. But then there's a honk, and a shout, and she sees their shitty truck pull into a space that's far too small.

"Archie!" But it's not Jim yelling at them from the driver's seat. It's Zheng, big sunglasses on her face, waving to catch their attention before she flips off the car she cut off to claim the spot. She turns back to Archie, still glaring. "You coming?"

Her old duffel bag gets tossed in the truck bed, then Archie dutifully climbs in. They barely get their seatbelt buckled before Zheng is bullying her way back into traffic. She's a safer driver than Jim, but only because she doesn't speed in quite the same way. While Jim drives like they're in an action movie, Zheng drives like she owns the road. Which, maybe she does, Archie doesn't know.

"Where's Jim?" Archie asks. "Thought they were going to pick me up."

Zheng raises her eyebrow and gives them a look. "Didn't you get their texts? They got called in to work."

"Oh. Shit." Archie digs out her phone and squints at it. "Still on airplane mode. Oops."

Sure enough, when they turn cell service back on, there's two missed calls and three texts from Jim, and another from Oluwande.

They catch the brief hint of a smile when they say as such before Zheng turns back to the road. "Well, I free, and Jim didn't mind me taking this piece of shit truck since my car is in the shop, so..."

"Cool. Thanks, mate." Archie grins and kicks their feet up on the dash. There's already scuff marks there, from countless other times. "Surprised you didn't bring Olu, have a nice little car date on the way here."

There's a brief moment of hesitation, then Zheng sighs. "I... thought it would be nice to have one with just you, instead."

Archie stares at her. "Come again?"

"We don't really ever do this, just you and me." Zheng gestures between them, but keeps her eyes on the freeway. It's busy, all loops and busy traffic, and Archie's glad Zheng is driving because they always get lost when they come here. "Me and Olu go on dates, you and Jim go on dates, or you and Jim and Olu, or all four of us. Even Jim and I fuck around when you two are gone, but..."

Realization slowly dawns. "Never just you and me."

It hasn't been intentional. It's just been the way things have fallen into place. It's too easy to lean into the relationships that are already there, and Archie sometimes forgets to try and make new bonds. But Zheng is right. They're in this together, and even if they try and all that ends up happening is a strong friendship, then that's okay. It's still important that they try.

Besides. Archie doesn't think that they'll end up that way. Zheng is too cool, and Archie falls in love too easily.

Zheng's got her 'I'm pissed that I'm having to be vulnerable and talk about shit' look, which is cute in a scary sort of way. Archie's into it. "So I thought that maybe, I could come pick you up, and you and I could have time. And if you hate it, then we can never do it again."

"I won't hate it. Promise."

Her eyes flicker over to Archie's. "Really?"

"Really really." Archie grins. "You gonna take me for fancy dinner on the way home then? I'm fucking starving."

"I was thinking burritos or burgers," Zheng says dryly, trying to hide a smile. "Something to fill your bottomless stomach."

Archie's stomach gurgles as if on cue. "Fuck yeah! Maybe burgers, unless you want me shittin' my pants on the way home."

"Charming." But Zheng still heads for the next exit, as if she knows a spot.

Archie waits until they're off the highway and stopped at a red light before she turns, tucking her knee up on the bench seat, scooching as close as her seatbelt will allow. "Hey."

Zheng eyes her warily. "What?"

"Just -" Archie leans in, and presses a soft kiss to Zheng's pretty mouth. She pulls away and smiles. "Just wanted to kiss you, is all. Didn't really say hello."

A pleased smile creeps onto Zheng's face. She reaches for Archie, fisting a hand in her t-shirt, and pulls her back in.

Her mouth is just as soft against Archie's the second time around. And if they're still kissing when the light turns and the car behind them starts honking, well - that's alright. Archie just laughs against Zheng's mouth, flipping the middle finger out their rear window.

They're not in any rush.

EEEEEE thank you so much!!!! That's such a sweet question I LOVE talking about my stories!!!!!!

One of my favorite fics I've ever written is Sentiment. Besides Authenticity, I think it's my favorite. (TW: this fic involves Time and Wars arguing, and Time physically pushes Wars once to make a point. They resolve it by the end)

Quick rundown in case you haven't read it (but you should go read it bc I think it's very very good): Time and Wars are arguing and then they make everyone else leave the room, and then Time lets his "In Charge" mask fall and lets big brother Wars comfort him.

I love everything about this fic. I shoved SO many of my favorite tropes into it lol. First, Wars being all self-sacrificing and Time being best Dad trying to protect Wars, but neither of them have a healthy relationship with their emotions so they're being a bit mean. Here's some of the notes I have for everything going on in the fight scene that they don't explicitly say:

Time’s distaste of authority

Wars defending his authority

Wars defending his autonomy

Time not being able to handle big emotions because he still feels like a kid trapped in an adult’s body sometimes

Wars not having enough self worth to rest

When Time says “we” about setting the example Wars realizes he doesn’t want Time to feel like that either, and especially not the younger heroes

Time being so so so so afraid that Warriors got hurt but not knowing how to deal with it in a healthy way

That’s his big brother and he already lost him once. He will not allow it to happen again 

Wars felt like he failed and he HAS to redeem himself bc he has a reputation to uphold

What was the point of the War of Ages if he isn’t perfect? If he can’t protect people now???

And then I LOVE the moment when Sky steps in and stops the fight. The image of Sky standing with his hand on Time's chest, in between Wars and Time glaring at each other, IS SO STUCK IN MY BRAAAAAAIN. (((((If anyone ever wants to make me really really happy, draw that scene. I would combust and never recover (/light hearted, positive) ))))). It's such a good moment.

And then as soon as the other Links are out of the room, Time drops his mask. He has no fucking clue how to be in charge of 8 other heroes, and Wars is the only person he feels like he can truly drop the mask with. Because that's his Big Brother from the War of Ages. And Time is terrified to lose his big brother again.

Big brother Wars and little brother Time is honestly my favorite dynamic in LU. IT'S JUST SO GOOD!!! THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!!!!!! Time, Wars, and Sky are in the top tier of my 3 tier list of favorite LU Links.

And of course I threw in "Sprite" bc that's an adorable nickname for Time.

So yeah. I'm very proud of that fic and I reread it a lot XD.

I was thinking – it’s not hard to imagine dark Sirius with his family baggage and general modus of taking no prisoners when he’s on a roll… What about dark James? There’s a bit of a trickster in him, able to do cruel things not because he’s acting out, but just because it’s fun. Dark James would be dangerous wild card no matter the side bc he doesn’t need a cause if he has thrill. ESP. with Sirius at his side even if Sirius would not go full dark, nothing would do them part

liSTEN I absolutely love dark!James and Sirius. That's the good shit. Sirius is so unbelievably dangerous and powerful, and even if he still hates his parents, he's a Black and that gives him a lot of knowledge other people don't have (and, depending on the AU, family magic and other advantages of his bloodline).

Dark!James is a personal favorite, because I feel like you can write him exactly the same way except when it comes to morals and combat. He talks with his friends the same way, he dresses the same, he'd have the same career (in this house we don't believe in auror James because ACAB, but even if you do like that job for him, I genuinely don't think it would change based on him being a bit evil). Just, y'know, instead of caring that something bad is happening purely because it's bad, he cares a hell of a lot more when he's inconvenienced. He'll put a motherfucker in hospital for making him late to a date with Sirius, but the systematic oppression of werewolves? Not really his concern, even if he thinks it's stupid. I think it would be more chilling-- and therefore more entertaining-- if James were written like this, I guess is what I'm saying XD

I liiiiiive for one of them being basically good but switching because they see how the other person is. Neither heaven nor hell can separate them, so why not go for it?

IS THAT AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT MINORU AND RYO AGAIN I SEE

all my thoughts about their general dynamic I already kinda ranted about that one time here. But a lot of that was more "once they're in an established relationship" hcs

so let's talk about early relationship and lots of firsts

I think them confessing would be repeated attempts by both of them that continuously end in them chickening out last second. Minoru tries to sound serious with a "I need to tell you something important " but Ryo shuts him down with "if you're gonna tell me about some random superhero thing again, don't," and he panics and says nevermind

Meanwhile Ryo only said that because he was about to try to confess and Minoru saying he was going to say something important made him get in his own head and he also panicked aldkfaj he didn't want to look too nervous or excited so he settled on mean instead ToT

Eventually Minoru just keeps texting this genre of picture

until Ryo gets confused enough to ask if he's trying to ask him out (he is)

Very big "oh no I fell for an idiot" moment for our dearest Ryo, but hey, he still says yes XD

And here's my reason for thinking they'd have such a rough time confessing right (besides the fact that I personally just think confessing to someone you truly care about and are close friends with is always probably hard). I think in part because they both Caught Feelings they'd be a little scared to drop their acts around each other, so sometimes Ryo still can't tell if Minoru is joking or not and Minoru can't tell if Ryo is actually mad or not. They're both afraid of reading too deep into the other's reactions and getting their hopes up and that makes it hard to gauge each other's reactions to their failed confessions.

They get past it once they're together though ofc.

FIRST DATE ALSO AWKWARD (UNTIL IT ISN'T)

Idiots trying too hard bc their friends, possibly even partners, got in their heads insisting the way they normally talk to each other isn't romantic at all and that they can't keep messing with each other so much now that they're dating. It doesn't take them all too long to realize that that's stupid actually bc they like their dynamic and they didn't fall for each other by not liking the way the other talks.

Also think some of the awkwardness would come from the fact that it would be both of their first real date ever (no, "bro dates" don't count. no, the time Ryo was dragged to a mixer and was flirted with doesn't count either) and neither of them knows how to act. All is well once they both agree to be normal.

Their first kiss would be significantly less awkward. They have officially escaped the awkward zone, good for them. Genuinely think it would just happened. Y'know like a casual kiss goodbye after spending a day together that they only fully process happened and freak out over after they're alone.

They don't really talk about it. Minoru lies awake at night regretting his life choices and wondering "why did I do that" until Ryo kisses him back the next time they're together.

they kissed one time before that in the other world when they thought they were gonna die and then NEVER acknowledged it. Maybe it was a real kiss, maybe it was a "I don't wanna die before having my first kiss" kiss. Happened so fast neither of them really knows for sure who initiated it. Get cheesy teen drama'd.

First romantic holiday as a couple...Ryo does not think twice before making chocolates for Minoru. That's his boyfriend, why wouldn't he do that for him? Minoru has significantly more of a dumbass crisis of "but he's a guy, what are the rules if we're both guys?!" Luckily Takuma (nicely), Kaito (not nicely), and Falcomon (somehow even less nicely) all tell him not to overthink it.

Lowkey think Minoru would have a FEW moments like that in the very beginning. Wanting to do a gentlemanly thing like hold a door open or offer up his jacket only to worry too much about if he's accidentally treating his bf "like a girl." This time Ryo talks some sense into him. He admits that okay yeah maybe it's a little embarrassing, but only because he's not really used to being doted on by someone other than his parents, not because he's offended that his bf loves him and wants to do nice things for him adlkfaj

TLDR: I think they're both insecure little overthinkers who really don't want to do things wrong, but once they get past that they're really not much different as a couple than they were as friends (with the exception that they're a lot more open with each other now and also kith sometimes lmao)

I think the Celestial Dragons would be excessively strict about marriage and family units (yes I am staring at the camera when I say this), and the nobility as well, but more likely commoners and pirates would have a widely different view. (Marines would be a mixed bag, but I think the statistics would lean more toward monogamy for them. And I'm not saying monogamy is *bad*, but I do think there's a kind of "being used as a tool for control/propriety" certainly exists)

Ahem, anyway!

I can see, off the top of my head, Shanks, Kid, Killer, Heat, Wire, Penguin, Shachi, Zoro, Law, Marco, Ace, Izou, Thatch, Rayleigh (canonically, actually), Roger, Buggy, Mihawk, Crocodile, and possibly even *maybe* Doflamingo being in some variety of open or group relationship.

Crocodile and Doffy get pretty possessive, imo, but I can see there being a situation with a set group where they'd be into it. Neither would be okay with hearing about things after the fact, or not being a part of things in some way shape or form.

Shanks would 100% be okay with hearing about your exploits, and sharing his in return. Marco would be okay hearing about your exploits too, but I feel like he'd have less to share in return. Ace would be somewhere in between the two I think, in terms of hearing about and talking about exploits.

And I mean, Rayleigh is canonically in an open relationship, so >.>

I can see Kid bragging about a lot of things, but considering how I see him and the entire Kid crew, I don't think there'd be any malice in those regards. Kid's contest with Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates is more about being pirates than being good in the sack. (Also I don't think Kid has a singular drop of doubt about how good he is in the sack XD )

Most everyone else I see as more being in a poly situation and not so much an open one. A distinction being that partners and escapades are discussed prior to having them happen. So the conversation would be before and after - at least at the start of things, once things stabilize in the relationship it works a little different.

But yeah, with freedom and being true to oneself as part of very important themes for the show, I wouldn't be surprised to see poly and open relationships more a normal thing among pirates and such than not.

Luffy, I think, would be into open relationships, but I also don't know how much I think Luffy would be bothered to define any relationship outside of certain parameters. He wants you to be happy, whatever shape that would take, while also being happy himself, and I feel like he's the kind of guy who feels wholly responsible for his own happiness, which makes him very flexible for fitting into whatever shape your happiness needs.

But that's just a random off the top of my head thought that popped in at the end of this, so xD take it for whatever.

Part 2 What He Left Behind

Okay, I am not normal about Sasuke here.

It's just. Just. He is so attentive, you know? He notices shit, and he talks about it without being judgy. And he calls the apartment [their home], he makes Hinata feel comfortable to be herself without fear, he calls her a fucking savage bunny I'm going to hit someone over with a car- I will fucking cry.

I love how Sasuke does the bare minimum, and you're foaming at the mouth. Men need to be attentive, not judge, call living their situation 'home', not cause fear, and tease her eating style.

Hinata described Sasuke as someone simple, someone who is more likely to do give something you need than something pretty for the sake of it, and this is pretty much how he treated her so far. Their bonding moments were all in the comfort of their own home, he gave her the things she needed from safety to respect to the fucking crib. He treated her this way without expectations besides being treated simply, as well.

Sometimes love just needs to be pure quality time.

And when Sasuke described what kind of person would like to date her, this sneaky little shit also described himself

Hahaha at this point neither of them was really aware of what was happening, but I love that you thought that Sasuke was pitching himself ahhahahahahah

I love two dense idiots being like 'this kind of person is perfect for you' and neither of them making the connection of 'wait that's just you...'

Hinata's saga in the pregnancy classes or whatever that was was so fucking entertaining, girlie was so angry and Sasuke was so amused.

I think that people forget how petty Sasuke could be as a kid. I think it makes for dumb fun. I will always add being needlessly petty in my stories, even if it's against a gaggle of pregnant women.

I haven't sent my usual play-by-play rants this time XD That chapter was to be digested in silence fr🧘‍♀️

A 10k word count is no joke so firstly, thank you for deciding to share this story with the fam <3 I can't wrap my head around the fact that there was supposed to be more, but you opted to make it a different chapter

So, dearest darling, I just wanted to say:

Each fic you do, the thing I find most exciting is the creative ways you dodge using 'y/n'. Let me tell you, I live for it. Like with the bodyguard au you decide to describe how he talks to mc instead of just simply slapping 'y/n' onto the sentence and calling it a day... and that just does it for me.

For this specific chapter I love how you used Jisung's and Hyunie's characters. Han starting the chapter literally made me go :( Partially bc he doesn't know his besties sleep in the same bed and have been doing so for the past 4 years. I wonder if they ever tell him...

With Hyunjin, ugh the character developed queen you are. Especially the part where mc is making sure he eats that cupcake ("You eat! You eat!"~Han Jisung) Tbh this chapter is so angsty bc yet again I go 😔 Sure, mc's life is basically hell but she has Felix... Who does Hyunjin have? :(((( I'm worried about him, does he have anyone he can rely on? :(

I audibly yelled when Felix caught mc with her hand in her pants 💀💀💀💀💀💀 I CACKLED! It was so funny to me like why couldn't a homegirl think of doing it under the covers😭😭??? Or in another bathroom of that humongous house

This brings me to the humanness of the chapter. A moment of silence for your ever-impeccable use of imagery🙇‍♀️ They're just kids. They really are just a boy and a girl at the end of the day. When Felix leaned over to peck her forehead I genuinely stopped reading for a second. The way he handles her so gently (most of the time hehe), coupled with the way she was counting the seconds.... Like darling be fr😭 How will I ever move on from this fic? I loved every description of how she clung to him because she didn't really know how else to deal with what she's feeling. And for heaven's sake Felix, KISS HER ALREADY! I love how I'm saying this knowing he can't. Ooh which reminds me, i loved the part where you said that crossing that line would have to be intentional. No not-so-accidental hanky panky here hah. For all the cliches that are allowed to slide in fanfiction, I once again love how you simply refuse to be ordinary.

Lastly, onto the smut hehe ;) The tension was everything to me. The build up was superb. All the times he rushed to the bathroom 😭😭✋ My favourite part was when he asked mc if Hyunjin had kissed her. I know that part wasn't steamy but if I was mc that would have told me all I need to know ✋ Anyways, you ate up every fic and it's author's pet with that mutual mast******** I would've physically died. The way you described everything fbdhgfjfjtjidbm
