okay as someone who loves fashion pls tell me (an idiot) is oscar’s suit too small on him or are men’s suits just designed to fit when and only when they are standing upright perfectly still. like is his suit too small or did the tailor just not consider that oscar folds in half zendaya laughing any time lando is around and therefore needs to account for movement? is his suit too small or did he not realize he would be squatting on stage-thighs flexed, ass pushed back, back curved as he reaches down into a trophy case- in fabric that famously does not stretch? OKAY. my unprofessional Official Suit Analysis based off. vibes. i am an idiot with you bc menswear is not my usual area of interest However. i will take any excuse to learn more about fashion

The TLDR:

id argue the suit fits Okay as an off-the-rack, especially if he wasn't doing all that moving around.

a bespoke suit (custom-made to the model's measurements) should allow for full range of movement without getting caught or restricted. a Major factor that separates a bespoke suit from a RTW is actually the height of the armhole! would highly recommend this article if it interests you.

soooo why is this suit so appealing to me? why is the fit as erotic as it is confusing?

(this is very subjective once again im no expert. just having fun. i digress.*I think*) the inconsistent fit creates a balance of sophistication and something much more salacious. the single breasted jacket is appropriately seductive; the rise height is youthful, fitting for a guy his age; the double vents look very elegant and move nicely to accentuate his hips as he puts a hand in his pocket.

but then.

his pants are so ridiculously tight that as his hand slides into his pants, it doesn't disappear -as it should- in a show of casual confidence. it just Sits there, right in our line of sight, becoming an extension of all the skin hidden in that area. the fabric becomes translucent over the bulges in his pockets (his phone, his hand) - so tantalizingly close to the center yet the effect doesn't reach far enough to tip the scale from teasing to straight up pornographic. (his ass on the other hand does tip the scale because there is simply no space in his pants for all that LOL) (to add to this, there's the erotics of everything we can't see with his shirt and undergarments but i won't repeat myself)

the lack of attention to detail leads to all these minor inconveniences that are overall uncomfortable (too much shirt fabric, bad fitting pants). the lack of care to acknowledge these problems before wearing the suit publicly then lands you in oscars position: blindsided by Just how much ass you've accidentally put on display. think like... when you unknowingly tuck your skirt into your underwear after peeing. it's. incredibly voyeuristic lol which only furthers the second-hand embarrassment i feel seeing him in a suit that's not fitting right. UGHH the SUIT. the more i look the more it seems oscar has lost a bit of weight by the end of this season? even his face looks more chiselled and his legs look less meaty overall if that makes sense?whereas lando has bulked up a bit, i swear i remember after the summer break there were a few weekends where his race suit was so tight around the chest that he very nearly couldn't zip all the way up

now oscar on the other hand doesn't have this history w mclaren. its not his family in the way it is for lando, its still Just a contract. its the stepping stone to boost his own ability but at the end of the day I think Oscar could confidently move to a new team feeling like mclaren isn't the be all end all of his successes. like. im using so many words but to simplify, im just saying I think the difference in longevity really has a significant part to play in how both react to Andrea and Zack's teamwork gimmick.

its obvious, as of now, landos got the technical advantage over oscar, but Oscar has shown no signs of plateauing on improvement. at the end of the day who comes out on top will really just be a race of lando gaining a mean streak or oscar out-driving him, and Lets Be Honest. if landos been in the game what 6 years and its only now he's gained Real confidence in his ability, well. I would say its quite easier to train a skill and get good than it is to reprogram the way you approach your teammate and team. I do genuinely believe landos got skill. but the challenges they face individually aren't comparable, and well. for any person in the world, not just lando, I think oscars climb is one easier accomplished.

and when he does inevitably qualify better. (this is situational. imagining the car is decent) and they have front row starts, and they're told to play nice. lando will, cus he owes it to everyone to. Oscar though. Oscar doesn't owe anyone anything, and he especially, doesn't feel he owes lando Any kindness. ripping my shirt off. lando feeling like he owed Oscar for the sprints was His biggest card reveal. were the situation reversed I don't think Payback would even be a factor on oscars mind. Its racing. u win and you focus on the next win. why would you risk a 1-2 to even the cards. there are no cards girl. Points back up top, lando feeling like he owes his wins to people. feels hes owes people loyalty and kindness in exchange for winning. the teamwork is viscerally real to him.

think a big part of this stems from his first win being . Lets Be Honest. gifted. the peak of his career and its immediately chased with, he owes the win to luck not skill. holds peach Snapple to landos lips there there girl. its okay.

anyways yeah. hinging on mclaren having a decent car, I think Oscar isn't tied down the way lando is. he's not tied down to a strong public opinion and he's not tied down to mclaren. so if hes a little evil. well. so what. no friends only enemies :D
