Today I did something I've always wanted to do - I went to the cinema by myself!

I had a Film Studies teacher 14 years ago (god I'm getting old...) who said everyone should experience going to the cinema by themselves at least once, just to see what it's like and how different it is.

Well, today I did it!

It was actually awesome, ngl. I sat in the middle of the aisle right at the back and almost had the whole place to myself.

I went to see Sonic 3 for the second time though, so I'm not sure if that's cheating since it technically wasn't a new movie experience lol. As for why, I was in a new town for an unrelated reason and kind of just made the decision on a whim when I was looking for a landmark to get a taxi to.

The cinema ticket machine didn't print my ticket for some reason and I had to convince them I'd bought it, but luckily I took a photo of the machine. I had to talk to a couple of employees but they were nice about it and let me in.

It actually a pretty fun experience and not as awkward as I thought it would be. Would recommend!

AS FOR THE MOVIE - I'll post my thoughts below the cut in case of mild spoilers.

I think cuz I knew the plot this time I had more time to simp over Shadow enjoy the background details and animation a bit more?

Someone pointed out online how Shadow looks constantly lost / confused / waiting for stuff to happen for pretty much the whole movie, and it's so true and made everything better lmao

His story is so sad though. "We don't know what to do with you so we'll stick you in a tube for 50 years" *zaps* "But we'll also make sure you're conscious so you can relive your trauma for 50 years too"

Like obviously I've seen it all before, but it just hit different this time around for some reason. Someone needs to give that edgy hedgehog a hug.

Oh and ALSO everyone else in the cinema left before the post credits scenes? Like?? Come on people, you can't wait a few more minutes? The credits had cute little animations to keep you entertained and everything!

Anyway, yeah. It was awesome. Can't wait to buy it on DVD and watch it again at some point hehe

I know this one is kinda a regular head cannon for xornoth but with some extra stuff

Xornoth doesn’t/can’t wear gold bc of Rivendell culture, not only after they got tossed out but also bc I like to think of Rivendell beauty standards being very high maintenance. And Xornoth like just doesn’t fit the bill for the Rivendell royal family. (Not saying that they are necessarily ugly, but in Rivendell standards he’s a little bit uggo,it varies place to place)

Also, after he corrupts people like Joey and sausage. I like to think that out of some compulsive reason they should wear silver and stuff like that. Like it kinda pushes some of xornoth emotions against the empires,to Joey and sausage.

(That’s why my corrupt Joey is almost entirely wearing silver instead of the regular gold)

(Also sausages crown and details as well is silver. )

I like to think about how xornoth pictures it as well, with it basically being on how one of xornoth main motivation (in my opinion/perspective at least lol) is that they don’t want to feel inferior to other people/empires. And so even there allies like Joey And sausage are no exception either.

Xornoth knows that Joey really prefers gold jewelry, and they find it like insanely difficult to actively gift him gold jewelry, so Joey not only a has mountains of gold jewelry now he also had like a mini mountain of silver jewelry too.

Sausage when he joined with xornoth expected it to be tough and for him to be cruel. And big battle sheets and decisions to be made. But in when he actually joined, every like day or two xornoth instead of actually trying to fight the other empires would just ask what piece of jewelry Joey would like better. Which surprisingly enough feels like a little girl sleepover.

(Added bonus,sausage gets to keep all of the extra jewels and jewelry Xornoth doesn’t give Joey lol)

still i think the one of the more fun differences drawn between illario and lucanis that was lost would be illario's ability to endear himself to others but serious lack of empathy, vs. lucanis' (self perceived) inability to be charming but how much he cares. it's interesting that the game has gone with the "lucanis' ability vs illario's lack thereof" because i think illario being the dellamorte 'best in show dog' vs. lucanis' attack dog would have made me so unwell.

lucanis is... awkward. he's not unlikable, because he is usually very polite, but he doesn't speak much and only seems to care about the other dellamortes. he once sent viago de riva a knife with no note (who knows what he could have meant by this). he does what caterina asks of him, and by his own admission, cannot say no to her. he is a dramatic and prolific killer, and that makes how untouchable he is even worse.

and the crows like illario, sure, AND he's a good assassin! he's even a good crow! he's so good that he can make lucanis smile, and so he is the charming, sociable one. he's the one that stays in treviso and can be relied upon to care, illario's even the one people prefer over caterina and lucanis!

but illario is decoration. he's the prize poodle, and even if poodles were bred to be working dogs, nobody will ever pick him to protect the house over the german shepherd that regularly mauls intruders. anyways the analogy is getting away from me. the point i'm trying to make is that i want illario to have a different kind of jealousy/hatred that's not just over 'being bad at killing' but also an arrogant loathing for everyone around him that is getting harder to hide, because they've forgotten he can bite and is just itching to rip someone's jugular out. illario is very good at hiding his family resemblance to caterina, while lucanis suffers under his grandmother's, and his own, reputation.

Valkyr Prime No Forma Queen Steel Path Circuit Armor Strip Deluxe Build AKA Can We Get Much Higher

There's room for improvement (like adding forma and maxxing out the other arcane), but I don't feel like it right now.

Here's the Valkyr Prime mods & arcanes setup. Use Terrify (Nekros helminth) over ability 3 for armor strip ability. Use these archon shards to get the 100% armor strip too and good energy economy. Feel free to ask about any of these mod or build choices, this build is from like 2 years ago that one of my partners helped me set up and still going strong. Delusion helmet and Gersemi skin for appearance.

Prime Talons mod setup. Blast damage is the current meta as of December 2024 so you can see the original before Damage whatever number update point 0 we're at now compared to the original build.

Equip Naramon, it's extremely important for power scaling and end-game level damage.

Fully ranked up Power Spike is the only focus school stuff you need, but having the waybounds unbound is always good for operator/drifter survival, combat, and movement.

Manage your energy economy by getting parazon finisher kills on eximus units if you start running low, just edge the health bars until you see the prompt and your energy will shoot up to almost max if not max. More than half the time arcane energize should kick in and give you a boost on top of the archon shard energy boost (not sure if the effects of the shards and energize multiply/stack or not as I'm not a build math gal but it feels like it does).

Here you go @issilya and anyone else wanting a no forma Valkyr Prime that scales well into higher levels.

iwas gonna write a really long reply to this but it’s kind of a “make your own post” thing so… but i truly don’t understand why pitbulls are the main focus of any “aggressive dog” conversation. dobermans, german shepards, and rottweilers are just as intimidating and “scary” but nobody ever bats an eye at the way those dogs behave or how their owners “trained” them because they’re seen as “protector” dogs and their aggression is therefore justified. dogs behavior lies solely on the owner. you have to be a specific type of person to own these dogs, you have to have a specific type of personality to match these dogs, that’s why so many pit bulls are seen as aggressive, when in reality they are just extremely untrained because their owners don’t want to put in the extra effort to make sure their dog isn’t a complete lunatic wherever it goes. pitbulls are great dogs. they are sweet and loving and extremely well behaved if they are just trained correctly by someone who is actually informed and has actually done their research on the breed. but unfortunately people will continue to have these dogs “for the aesthetic” and continue to be the reason these poor dogs have this stigma around them
