Alright so

First of all - It wasn’t hard to predict what Simon would do. I mean, it was pretty obvious from the start that he’d become the new Santa and then take advantage of their delivery system for the sake of his own company. But yeah, I think it’s safe to say that he’s got his hands full now. And the elves that are disappearing because of him?? All I could think about, really, was how Bernard would have shut this down in an instant if only he was still head elf (same goes for TSC3). I’m just wondering how they’re going to undo Simon’s mistakes. My guess is that Grace will have something to do with it, since she’s clearly his weak spot. This may be a stretch, but they could also Escape Clause him? I feel like Grace would be an important factor in getting him to calm down, regardless.

And then there’s the fact that Betty said a Bernard line. Like… “Santa, we need to talk”?? It must’ve been a reference to The Santa Clause 2. It would’ve been cooler if she said it in the same tone as him, but honestly any nod towards Bernard is amazing as it is.

However, I think the most interesting part was when Betty went to talk to La Befana and their conversation just goes “I need to get in touch with him” “Scott Calvin?” and then “no, HIM”. Do I really need to elaborate on who she was referring to? My question is… why does Betty speak of him in that manner? What did he do??Where’d he go?? Why can they only communicate with him through La Befana?? I also found it rather amusing how the sound of a bell chime played whenever they mention him. It’s so dramatic haha

But what if I’m wrong and “him” turns out to be… I don’t know, Curtis or Jack Frost? I find that unlikely, though, since David Krumholtz himself said that Bernard would be appearing in the fifth episode. Also, have you seen his latest Instagram post? There’s no way that “him” isn’t Bernard. Also, in one of the trailers (the one where Bernard says “miss me?”) he’s clearly standing in the Calvin living room.

But back to Simon… I feel like the coat’s reaction towards him in episode 3 was foreshadowing the current events. Honestly, I feel like Simon seemed suspicious even from the start. I mean, why on earth would you let a guy who’s trying to be Jeff Bezos become Santa? And the fact that he’s charging people for the North Pole’s services is so funny to me.

But yeah, we’re finally at the Bernard part now. All we’ve got to do is wait a week… which feels a rather inhumane at this point.

thinking so much about the parallels between heavymedic and cheavycmedic right now i am losing my shit. medic's breakdown in chapter 7 over the ghostlights and the narration going "He needed someone brave, someone immovable. He needed Heavy." followed by Cmedic's breakdown in chapter 9 with the narration "He needed someone soft, someone kind, someone with a bleeding heart. He needed someone unlike Cheavy."

And then Heavy putting his hatred for Cheavy aside, because he realizes that Cmedic, someone who he believes is a genuinely good person, needs Cheavy. He encourages Cheavy to be better for Cmedic's sake.
