I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human

it's really strange to me how many people I've seen say that the substance is unsympathetic towards elisabeth & disdainful towards woman in general. idk it feels to me like the movie is really explicitly not saying "silly women, isn't it stupid that they're doing this to themselves?" but "isn't it fucked up that our culture puts so much pressure on women that they feel forced to do these things to themselves?"

I'm ngl, I know it's a really small thing compared to the glaringly obvious villainy his dad has showcased, but I love how well the pizza episode conveys Dev's emotional neglect without it technically coming up at all

And personally I feel like that's a bit of a recurring thing with his wishes too, like he knows he's got the power to get the things he wants, but as insufferable as he is sometimes he may have been conditioned out of "being a problem" via "overly specific" requests.

Kind of like Cookie's "wish granting" style, he gets "the best" (read: most expensive) thing and then expected to shut up and stay out of the way

Jason Todd would ask (not demand) to have a copy of your class schedule. He’d want to know what days you’re free to have lunch together and when to come meet you in the library with a thermos of your favourite drink. He’d join you in your studying, claiming the seat next to you for his own. He’d lean back in his chair, the picture of lazy confidence. A book held in one hand, the other wrapped around the back of your chair. He knows not to bother you too much when you’re so deeply focused, but he thinks the way you scrunch up your nose at a particularly difficult concept is adorable. He’ll gently untangle your fingers from where they’re anxiously pulling at your hair in frustration, let you squeeze his hand instead until the emotion passes. If you spend too long absorbed by your work, he’ll persuade you to stop. Ask you to take a break with him to get something to eat and rehydrate, that the work will still be there once you’re ready to come back to it. Jason carries your book bag with ease, waves off your protests and tells you to let him be a good boyfriend.

zoro who is so caught off guard by sanji’s kinder actions towards him is one of my favorite tropes. sanji crafting him specialized post workout snacks personally adjusted for him but still down to fight and call him names. he’s still the biggest asshole zoro has ever had the displeasure of knowing, and he’s horribly considerate. he’s a little confused but doesn’t reject any of sanji’s specialized treats. it’s not like sanji is fawning and doting over him like he does nami, so zoro feels like he can cross off sanji actually liking him from his list of reasons as to why sanji is acting like this. but it’s still fucking strange..

meanwhile sanji is in his kitchen wondering how zoro hasn’t taken a damn hint yet

i don't think siffrin in the assassiffrin au would be as open & excited about their favorite food, especially this close to their first time facing the king since they changed sides

but like. do yall ever think about how siffrin makes a face every time someone goes to touch him, even when he's trying not to, even when he actively wants to be touched, that makes isabeau go "right! touch aversion! i'll back off! sorry!!"

do you ever think about the physical evidence siffrin has that they were, at some point, loved - but without any memory of it, and without any context that would give meaning to it? do you ever wonder if bonnie is the first person they can remember hugging them, or making their favorite food? or to even know that it's a food they like, let alone their favorite?

do you think the malanga fritters would hit different, in a world where he was more aware what he'd lost? in a world where he'd been trying and failing for months to not get attached to his party? if he tasted those fritters and thought, "i don't remember being loved, but i remember what being loved feels like, and it feels like this!"
