is Miya Chinen from skateboarding anime Sk8 the Infinity

he is introduced in episode 2, though not fully prevalent until episode 3

in episode 3, he challenges Langa to a beef (basically a skate race) after Langa had beat another character, Shadow, in a race, despite being new to skateboarding

Langa accepts the challenge, despite Reki warning him not to. Miya is known as a skateboarding prodigy, and is likely to compete on the national team.

Miya is first shown to be cocky and confident in his abilities. He sees skating against Langa as a waste of time; he only did it because Adam (booo) told him to, as Adam wanted to see more of Langa's skating.

He views other people as "slimes," and calls them (especially Reki) such.

When watching a video of Miya in a competition to help Langa prepare for the race, Reki notes that, despite his immense talent, he doesn't seem to have any fun.

We see Miya at a practice, where a reporter shows up and asks to get some shots of him practicing. The coach tells the rest of the team to clear the practice area, and they in turn complain about how this always happens. Two boys send their boards flying at him while he was in the middle of a skill where he was balancing on his hands. He is able to dodge them, and when the boys come to collect their boards, despite being kind on camera, Miya sneers about how the reason he's better than them is because he doesn't need to rely on anyone else.

The time for the race comes, and Langa shows up without a board because Reki was putting finishing touches on it, to which Miya laughs, and says that the power of friendship won't save him from losing. The race starts, and Miya quickly pulls ahead to no one's surprise– it's a rookie against a pro. Miya complains that this was a waste of his time and he didn't understand why Adam wanted him to do this.

Though, with the power of plot reasons and special wheels, Langa is able to pull ahead, to Miya's surprise and dismay. He says that he can't lose, because he's the "hero," not a slime.

We then see a glimpse into some of Miya's past. He was in a corridor with three people who presumably used to be his friends. One of them, named Takashi (who we had once seen dismiss Miya while at school), says that since Miya will be the one who will be famous out of all of them, they didn't want to hangout with him. He claimed that Miya wanted them to stick around to just be his entourage, and that "heroes shouldn't associate with slimes," as Miya's manager had supposedly taught him.

This memory seems to ignite something within Miya, and he pulls ahead again, going almost dangerously fast. The two skaters are close as they pull into the final stretch of the race. In the last part, encouraged by Reki, Langa starts to pull ahead, but Miya remains confident as they approach a set of stairs. Langa is able to ollie onto the railing, which causes Miya to stop skating to yell out and warn Langa that the rail was busted. Fortunately for Langa, however, his wheels allow him to turn in a way that normal skateboards can't, and when Miya sees this and realizes there wasn't any danger, he starts skating again, faster than ever to catch up to Langa in the very last stretch. It's close, but Langa ends up winning by at most a few inches.

While Langa and Reki celebrate, Miya is shocked as to how he lost. Reki sees/hears this, and says that the reason he lost is that "we [Reki and Langa] started skating to have fun." This results in Miya talking about how skating was fun for him, at first. But the better he got, the less people wanted to spend time with him. "No one wants to play when you win all the time," as he said. Reki flicks his forehead and calls him a dumbass. He says that not everyone cares so much about winning. Langa tells him that he had fun skating, and he hoped to do that again. Miya is clearly touched by their words, but turns away, calling them weak. Reki, despite calling Miya a brat earlier, tries to get him to smile, and a bit of bantering back and forth between Reki and Langa achieves that.

Then Adam appears (boooo) and basically says that, yeah skating with friends is fun, and it is all that Miya has left now, as he seems to be "running on empty." Reki, despite originally being excited to have seen Adam (him being a skateboarding legend and all), tells Adam to take back what he said, and challenges him to a beef. (Which is a whole other ramble I could get into; how Reki's perception of Adam changes so quickly). Miya tells Reki that he doesn't need his pity, to which Reki replies that it isn't pity, and that it's about not letting jerks like Adam treat people like that.

And that's just the background information from one episode!!

But I don't feel like explaining the entire plot so :/

Onto various thoughts, headcanons, and other rambly things!

I could talk for hooouuuurrrsss about Reki and Miya's friendship. They are soooooo important to me. First, we see how Reki's perception of Miya goes from "we need to teach this brat a lesson" to "oh he's actually just a Little Guy." cuz Miya is 13!!! He's literally 13!!! He should be hanging out with kids his age!!!! Not going to an illegal (!!) skateboarding track (and kicking ass there too, he has a fucking reputation there.) He's protective of Miya, and in return, Miya TRUSTS HIM. He cares about Reki (though would die before admitting it-). They're little goofballs!!!!! They are The Siblings Of All Time!!!!! They're also opposites in a way. Later in the series, Reki stops going to S (the skateboarding place) because he feels like he isn't good enough to skate there. He falls into a mindset that almost mirrors Miya's; "nobody wants to play when you always lose." And!!! Miya runs into him while he was still not talking to any of them! And he asks him to come back to S, or at least talk to any of them. When Reki still doesn't explain, Miya reminds him of the promise he made: that no matter what, he wouldn't leave. This doesn't work to get Reki back to S, and we never see a proper apology either, as Reki just pushes past Miya. But even despite that, when Reki comes back to S and skates against Adam, Miya cheers for him, and shows genuine concern whenever he appears to be in danger. !!!!!! (Plus, a lot of people hc Reki to be transmasc (me included), and I personally headcanon Miya to be genderqueer of some sort, but he doesn't know it yet (what exactly depends on the day). So added Cool Trans Big Bro Reki helping Miya whenever their inevitable gender crisis happens.)

And again. Miya is 13!!! He seems to be incredibly independent for someone his age, sneaking out regularly and being able to just skate around town without any supervision. He even is able to go on an overnight trip with the rest of the sk8 gang, even though he really didn't know them for long and I would be incredibly surprised if his parents even knew about them. It was never really explained how he was allowed to go.

On a semi-related note, his parents. We see very little of them, so it's hard to say anything directly about them, but from what we see of both them and Miya, I can make some guesses. For one, the only scene we see of them is with them looking through a photo album from when Miya first started skating, as a reporter had come by and asked for pictures of Miya from then. One of the photos they picked was of him and Takashi, which Miya grabbed from them and crumpled behind his back. I personally find that odd, as if they had known about what had happened with him and Takashi, you'd think they'd be a bit more sensitive about that? It leads me to believe that, even if they aren't actively "bad" parents or even trying to be neglectful, they seem to be fairly detached from Miya's life, whether through faults of their own or purposeful actions on Miya's end, which is only supported by the ease with which Miya is able to spend time away from them.

It's clear that, despite memories of them being incredibly painful for him, Miya does still care about his past friends. When Takashi denies having known Miya when someone asked, Miya appears almost hurt, though doesn't say anything, only glares(? im bad at describing expressions lol) after him. Later in the series, in a scene that plays during the credits of (i think) the last episode, Takashi passes Miya in the hallway of their school, and acknowledges him presumably kindly, though we can't hear what he said to him. Miya smiles, pausing in the hall, before continuing to walk with greater joy than before.

Lastly, at least for now, his relationship to Adam. Adam is a sponsor for Miya, having shown up at a competition of his, and he occasionally shows up, giving Miya tips on how to improve his skateboarding. Miya says that they were small things, but something that no coach has ever thought to tell him before. Miya appears scared, or at least intimidated by Adam, though he does respect his skill in skateboarding.

aHhh okay so the discussions of Titan!Megatron on @callsign-relic's blog have fully. FULLY taken over my brain and ive been drawing stuff for it for like the last few days nonstop

the tl;dr of this is AU is pretty much "what if Megatron got turned into a titan/cityformer as a form of penance/imprisonment and now roams the empty wasteland of Cybertron forever" plus "IDW Megatron has really fucked up internals so... what if that, but as a City?"

and of course since he's a Titan, that also means he has a cityspeaker... or three. One per sub-AU thing. Theres 3 options. 3 flavours of AU.

Hi. My battery is running out once again so design and art notes get chucked here instead of an image.

The cuffs and collar are hardwired into Megatron, so I made the lights the same colour as his biolights!

I imagine that on the tops of his shoulders there are solar panels, even if you can't see them here lol.

I really wanted to keep the swirly bits on Megatron's chest from IDW

Other art notes:

The second picture with the seekers is (loosely) inspired by a discussion about whether or not Megatron gets visitors or not. I thought about who would visit him and well... I think this is as close as Starscream realistically gets to visiting him.

Extra detail about that piece is that Thundercracker and Skywarp are keeping watch from above! Also drawing Megatron took me like 8 hours because I was struggling with his legs really badly kshffkbfkdsbdk,, the background went much faster, funnily enough.

Optimus specifically isn't wearing his Autobot badge any more.

This isn't relevant in this series of images, but Ultra Magnus's eye markings are only on the Magnus armour. His other two forms do not have them :] (... until he begins to discard the armour, that is.)

Megatron is roughly 3200m/2 miles tall. Technically he could have clouds around his knees, but I thought this looked a little bit cooler lol.

Also, height chart! Him big. I didn't even attempt to put a human for scale because that'd be. near impossible with this scale.
