My name is Falastin, and I am a mother of three small children, ages 5 years, 2 years, and 3 months. I am not very good with social media, but I am writing to seek your help to give my family in Gaza the chance to live their lives again.

Due to the ongoing genocide we in Gaza are experiencing, my family need your help to survive, leave Gaza, and find safety.

In november 2023 last year, i lost three of my cousins from my mother's family with their wifes and children's, some of them still under the rubble untill now. 

In mars 2024 this year i lost another 2 cousins in Alshifa hostpital, this shock after three months of the first lose was a big slap into our face, it was a harsh reminder that death didn’t stop, and that none of us is an exception in this genocide, not a woman nor a child, everyone of us is a target to the death machines above our heads.

My family has lost everything. Some of them have tragically passed away, and those who remain are without shelter, moving from one temporary place to another in a desperate attempt to stay alive. Currently "After more than 20 times of being displaced and having to leave our house escaping from rockets and death " they have fled south and are living in a makeshift tent made from plastic bags and torn clothes.

Each day is a battle for survival. Each day, my family wakes up not knowing if they will have food to eat, clean water to drink, or a safe place to rest. Their homes have been wiped, and their children sit sleepless waiting their death. In Gaza, there is no where to seek shelter, no bunkers, nowhere to hide. Gaza is no more than 40 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide with a population of just over two million. Gaza's border is completely surrounded by fences and barbed wire. The only way out of Gaza is to Egypt.

I used to introduce myself as the youngest in the family but in this GENOCIDE I’m a big sister who see her siblings’ future getting lost in front of her eyes, as i see my brothers kids who are still young and supposed to be in school, my mom who is 73 years old unable to find her medicine, as I see them, I made it a mission to myself to save my family or who’s left alive from it, to save their future from all of this and to escape Gaza.

Despite everything, I still have hope to save those who remain of my family. But I need all the help I can get from every person on earth. This challenge is not easy for me, especially since I am not good with social media and i dont have so many follower to reach and ask them for help. However, I am trying, and maybe with your support, the impossible can become possible.

Asking for your help is the only way I have to save my family’s life and future. Your help can be our hope when hope seems far away. Because of that, I appeal to your generosity and compassion, asking for help so that we can gather the necessary funds to help my family.

This specific quote is in reference to Act II, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's play "Antony and Cleopatra." Which canonically had not even been written yet in the series, which IMPLIES that when Shakespeare heard Crowley's words, he interpreted them as what they truly meant and transitioned them into the play. So basically Crowley has been absolutely besotted by Aziraphale from the beginning and Shakespeare agreed so much he put it in one of the most famous romantic plays of all time.

The original quote by Shakespeare read as follows:

“Never; he will not: Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale Her infinite variety;”

This quote is spoken in the play when a follower of Mark Antony describes the appearance of Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, as she rode her barge down the river Cydnus; and how Mark Antony first lays eyes on her then immediately falls head-over-heels in love with her. "Age does not wither her" means that her beauty and allure do not diminish with the passage of time. It implies that as she ages, she remains just as attractive and enchanting as ever. "Nor custom stale her infinite variety": Here, "custom" refers to familiarity or routine. The quote suggests that even familiarity or habit does not make Cleopatra's qualities or personality seem boring or less interesting. "Infinite Variety" implies that she possesses an inexhaustible range of qualities, moods, and aspects that keep her intriguing and unpredictable---Sound like someone familiar?

Now keep in mind that when Crowley said it, It was never originally about Cleopatra

The Good Omens writers are absolute saints, nothing they do is lazy in the least and I am positive that effort went into finding a quote that encapsulated the true depth of relations between the two.

But in all seriousness, although I was somewhat prepared because of the additional previews that dropped for this episode, I don't think it's really possible to be fully prepared for how something might hit you until you actually see it. And parts of it didn't hit great, lads.

Vivi makes the best faces when she's watching Tongrak and Mahasamut be sweet. She can't see the writing on her own wall but she can see it on theirs.

I expected a lot more smugness and vitriol from Prin given that she's scheming to destroy Tongrak and has done it with such gusto up until now but it says a lot that even she looks disgusted with what she's doing. She won't even let Jak touch her. Turns out even a hell witch has her limits.

But this man? No such luck.

He's making this face after being asked to destroy his child. Prin offered him five million (and possibly more) to hurt Rak and he looks happy about it. Giddy even. That's sheer malice. Absolutely beyond fucked up.

I throw roses at Peat's feet every week for how fantastic his face acting is but don't think for a moment that Fort doesn't deserve them too because he absolutely does.

Mut's face was all warmth and smiles when he was alone with Meena, then it became more guarded and cautious when they were approached, then we landed at this when Meena confirmed that the trash in front of them was her grandfather.

Fort's face is naturally very sweet and soft. He's got the opposite of resting bitch face but the fact that he can affect one so well when it's so far removed from what comes naturally to him is all in the eyes.

Look at his gaze. His eyes are normally very sparkly but here they look flat and cold and you can barely see his pupils. These are the dead calculating eyes of a shark and they reveal more hatred than words ever could and that takes TALENT.

I have to give An props for that too because he's also very good at the shark eyes but he's using them in a different way than Fort is.

Look at this screenshot and tell me it doesn't feel like Jak is looking through Mahasamut instead of at him. I can't quite describe how his face emotes but doesn't show actually genuine emotion, it's very impressive and unsettling.

The only time it felt like Jak was actually feeling something was when he looked happy about fucking with Tongrak's life.

So my brain started to itch TREMENDOUSLY and I needed to draw Papa Halsin, because imma be honest, I was thinking with my ovaries ngl.

So, I scavanged among all the pictures I have of when Baby Nemo was a newborn and was being held by my husband AND BOOM.

This is the result (also, I just took the chance of try my hand at rendering eheheh!)

Halsin holding his adored spiderling baby Asra, who is sleeping serenely in her papa's arms, while wrapped in the only thing she had of her mother: a satin shawl of Zakharan origin, imbued with powerful Nocturnal Magic that would protect the little baby from the scorching sun. .

I like to imagine that baby Asra sleeps more soundly when close to water sources, like streams and babbling brookes, and Halsin would always bring her there so that her naps are fully restful (he would be the most considerate of dads, I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY CONTRADICTIONS).

I have an idea for pedro×reader

The reader is an actress and she is going on tour for her new movie so the videos came out of the two of them joking around and her Co star putting his hands on her waist so pedro gets jealous and call her or maybe show up to her hotel

I debated a long time to find a co-star. I didn't want someone too young, but not too close to Pedro, I wasn't happy. So I ended up putting Y/c/n (your co-star's name) Y/c/l/n (your co-star's last name).

I wrote this a long time ago, and I re read it before publishing it. I saw I rushed the end a lot, so I had to write more. I don’t really think I did more but it really felt rush. ANYWAY. Enjoy.

PS: I do not forget about the requests, I already said before that I was taking my time writing them, and that I would write them by the inspirations and ideas, not by date. Also, this past month I was trying to write most of them before publishing progressively because I didn’t want to be overwhelmed by the requests, but it’s really hard, I still have like 6 requests! "Today we're in the company of Y/n L/n and Y/c/n Y/c/l/n for their latest movie coming out on the 1st of August." The interviewer said to the camera. "Hi" she said this time to the both of you.

"Hey" you said in unison

"How are you doing today?"

"We're great" you said with a big smile "How are you doing?"

"I'm great thank you!" She looked at her papers. "So.." she looked up at the both of you. "Pretty excited about the premiere?"

"Oh yes!" you enthusiastically said, moving your arms up, almost hitting your co-star, making him laugh

"A little too much, I am scared for my life" he joked, pretending to be scared and moving a bit away from you

"Oh come on" you laughed, hugging him from the side "why are you acting like I hit you" you were both laughing. You pretended to hold his neck

"She is very nice and gentle with people" your co-star said to the camera. Everyone was laughing

"Okay let's be serious for a second" you said, sitting straight on your chair

"So yeah you seem pretty excited" the lady said laughing

"Yeah" you chuckled "yeah" you said again more seriously

"The story is set in strong environments, was it hard to film in those different places?"

"For me it was in Egypt." Your co-star started to answer. "It was too hot"

"Too hot?" You asked confused "like the negative temperatures we had in Canada were nothing?" you chuckled

"all of them were challenging, but it was better in Canada then in Egypt"

"oh hell no, it was better in Egypt, living in the cold out there, no thank you"

"It's easier to get warm than to get cold"

"true, but it's too cold outside you can't do anything but stay inside"

"Same with both" you co-star kept going

"We're having a huge debate" the interviewer added in between

"no, you can do things outside, also you wear less clothes, you can tan, eat outside and swim, you know, just little pleasures" you listed "I can add more things if you want" you said, turning a bit towards your co-star.

"no no I think we get it" he laughed "you win"

"as usual" he tilted his head

"sure sure" he said patting your thigh "what makes you feel better"

"oh shut up" you both laughed

"You seem to have a great chemistry, did you hit it off right away?" your co-star put his harm on the back of your chair, making him turn a bit towards you. You looked at each other.

"Yeah I think so" he said

"What do you mean 'I think so'?" you laughed

"Well, we met at the read-through, we had to get into our characters right away, at first we mostly filmed during the time"

"oh yeah yeah"

"and we were simply like filming-eating-sleeping" you chuckled "so we didn't have time like to really know each other at first"

"yes that's true"

"I see" the interviewer said "but it didn't change anything for the chemistry in the movie?"

"no not really" you said" we're professionals" you joked. Your co-star was looking at you, eyeing your face. And that's when he couldn't take it anymore. Pedro closed his computer, rolling on the bed to get up. He sighed, then left the bedroom.

He missed you like crazy. You left two weeks ago on tour for your new movie and he was struggling. While you were filming the movie, he was at home, and while you were finally home, he had to leave to film too. You were both busy, and the only thing that kept you in touch was mostly texting and some phone calls here and there. When you both got back, three days later you were already gone on tour.

And now Pedro was home alone, missing you, and seeing you being close to your co-star like that made him pretty jealous to say the least. He isn't able to make you laugh, to touch you, and he can? That's the perks of being actors you might say, and yes that's true. But sometimes it doesn't make it easier.

Once Pedro was in the living room, he grabbed his phone, and tried to call you. It was ringing for a long time, he didn't think he would get you, but you finally picked up.

"Hi baby" your soft voice made his heart beat fast. He wasn't thinking rationally anymore, he had to do something, he couldn't take it anymore.

"Where are you staying for the week?" he quickly said, hoping he could join you, but fearing the answer, like you would be moving in another country for the next interviews, or that you would just say no.

"hum, wait I don't know the name of the hotel" he could hear you get up. You were probably in bed. "It's the Hestia hotel, actually not far from the airport" you paused "why? are you planning to come?" Pedro heard the excitement in your voice, reassuring him a bit.

"Yes, I don't have anything planned for the next week and I miss you so I wanted to join you, if you want to"

"of course I want to! I miss you too much" your voice gave a hint of sadness. "It's been some hectic days here, and it's been too long without you"

"tomorrow I'm here"

"good" there was a pause

"I'll see you tomorrow cariño"

"can't wait" he knew you were smiling "I love you"

"I love you too" you both hang up, going back onto your lives. Pedro already felt better after the call. He was getting very excited. The next hours were going to pass slowly as he couldn't wait to finally be with you.

Hours went by and Pedro managed to fall asleep pretty quickly, but moved a lot during the night. He woke up at 6am and left to the airport around 7:30am to get on his plane an hour later. He arrived a few hours later. As he was walking towards the exit, he noticed someone he knew. It was you. Neither of you said anything about picking him up at the airport, but you couldn't wait, even for just a few minutes more.

He stopped when he saw you, relieved. You were there, standing in front of him. He dropped his luggage when you ran to him. He picked you up in his arms and held you tight.

"finally" he muttered. Once he decided to let go, he kissed you passionately, his hands on your cheeks. It felt surreal. You saw it in his eyes when he looked at every detail on your face, as he still held it. Your hands were on his waist, and you brought him closer to hug him again. You left the airport hand in hand, feeling nothing but happiness. You were finally reunited, and it was going to be at least longer than before.

“What made you come so suddenly anyway?” You asked as you both entered the car.

“Hum, I just missed you a lot” he half-lied. It was true, he missed you too much, it was unbearable, but he also couldn’t stand having someone else touch you and be close to you like your co-star did.

Pedro thought he got away with it, but when he turned to look at you, you were eyeing him. You do know him too well.

“I appreciate it but I can feel that’s not the only reason” you stared at each other

“How’s Y/C/N?” He tried to change the subject

“Oh he’s fine, we were about to have a little dinner together”

“Just the two of you?” He shyly asked, feeling his confidence running away. You started to drive back to the hotel.

“Yes, and then we were thinking about heading to bed you know to have a little fun” he looked at you with big wide eyes. “So that’s the other reason” you joked

“What?”

“My big jealous man” you said caressing his chin for a second

“You weren’t really going to go to bed with him, yeah okay I see the sarcasm” he rolled he eyes, looking at the road, avoiding you.

“I’m not cheating on you Pedro”

“I am not doubting you”

“But you flew to another country because you trust me so much”

“I trust you” he immediately looked at you “it’s the others that I don’t trust”

“Like who?”

“Like Y/c/n? I saw the interview, hands on your thighs, the way he looked at you”

“He doesn’t even stand a chance” you joked

“That’s not the problem, he won’t stop”

“He is just being friendly” you looked at him from time to time

“I’m sorry, it’s just- I didn’t get to see you a lot, I really missed you and it drove me crazy seeing this” you put your hand on his thigh

“I know I know, and I missed you more” his heart was beating fast because of nervousness. He hated feeling vulnerable, but especially showing it to you. Jealousy can be perceived badly, like not trusting the person and such, but it’s not true.

Once you arrived at the hotel, you were met with your co-star on your way to your bedroom. He did seem confused and a little sad when you cancelled the dinner with him. But none of you talked about it and decided to move on about that. If he was interested he definitely knew he had no chance now.

The next few days have been perfect. It was getting calmer, and the fact that Pedro was here helped you a lot. You didn't have this anxiety of being away anymore. Pedro wasn’t feeling jealous anymore but he was still watching your co-star from a distance. At the end of the week you were getting nervous because Pedro was about to leave again. But, as a surprise (not really you discussed it), he actually stayed longer. He had nothing to do that couldn't be done on the phone or on the computer, so he stayed for the rest of the tour.

Being in each other’s presence was helping you. He calmed your anxiety, and he was reassured and not jealous anymore.

Summary: Loki is given a particular slave as a gift for another one of Asgard's victories. 

“ANOTHER!”

Cheers, glasses smashing, clinking, laughing, music, the smell of alcohol, food and breasts threatening to poor out of tops, all held the ingredients to a stereotypical Asgardian celebration as it felt like the whole kingdom gathered to celebrate.

A battle was just won a few hours before, but to be honest, Asgard hosted these parties practically every night; mainly hosted and encouraged by King Thor who just couldn’t get enough of the party life. One could do that every day with that much power..

He sat at the head of the feast table, a large fire being the main source of light as people danced around it and sang in their native language. Slaves hustled around the pieces of broken mugs to continue serving his heart’s desires, one even being instructed to sit on his half for most of the night currently as a drunk hand inched its way up her skirts.

King yes, but he wasn’t even the one to have primarily claimed victory today. It was Loki.

Loki stayed silent, contently listening to the music in the background as he moved through the wave of guests, his slim fingers gripping the handle of his own drink which he sipped leisurely. Of course, Thor would take all the credit, having spent hours each night conducting the perfect battle plan just for his brother to rip all the recognition away. Typical.

His expression was.. expressionless, showing how years of the same situations has finally numbed him to the fact where he didn’t display his agitation anymore. He merely got the leftover. Even the whores who stumbled around, their centers sore and the alcohol still taking affect as they tried clinging themselves to him, in which he would politely wave them off and continue on.

His credit may be stolen, but his reputation with women was at least much higher than Thor’s.. whether it be true or not. Loki had absolutely no trouble bringing any woman to bed, or men. He was just subtle, even making it a game before acting as if nothing happened the day after. He didn’t wish to think of how many countless souls went through Thor’s chambers, particularly he just didn’t care.

Making his way over to his seat, regrettably it being right next to his brother, Loki raised his glass with a painted-on grin as another cheers rose through the crowds that happened seemingly every ten minutes.

‘’brother!! It is so good to see you! Where have you been lurking?” Thor slurred with a lopsided grin as Loki sat down in his seat, his green came spreading behind him as he relaxed for once with much less annoyance.

‘’settling the score brother’’ Loki smirked, an innuendo that he had just gotten back fucking someone as his gaze ran over the woman hanging onto Thor’s neck with her lips latched on to his skin. ‘’are you still trying to get this one to bed?”

Thor laughed as his grip on her thigh tightened a little, causing her to squirm a little as he looked at his brother casually. ‘’sometimes you just need to enjoy the build up deal brother, and how could I leave now when I have something for you?”

Loki raised a brow, his body tensing out of instinct as these things usually come without enjoyment for himself. ‘’oh a gift brother? You shouldn’t have.’’ He says dryly and finishes his cup, holding it up as a maid seemed to span out of nowhere to refill it.

‘’why of course! It might seem like it, but I can’t take all the credit for todays victory’’ Thor grinned as Loki’s brows raised at his willingness to share. ‘’I know you were the intelligence for the plan that was executed, let me give you something out of gratitude’’ he said and stood, the poor woman yelping in surprise as she caught herself on her feet and Thor moved her away as if she was no more than a piece of broken cup that scattered amongst the floor.

By two claps, the music died down immediately as everyone’s attention moved to king Thor, grins and conversations coming to a hush as Thor stood up with his mug.

‘’my dear friends! Today has been yet another victory for Asgard!”’ he yelled, raising a mug as everyone cheered and did the same. ‘’but we cannot forget that it wouldn’t have been possible without my little brother’s skillset for ‘element of surprises’’’ Thor grinned and waved a hand towards Loki who calmly sipped at his drink, his expression seeming like he wasn’t paying attention at all as cheers erupted again.

‘’and so to celebrate his actions, I have a gift to bestow upon him!’’ Thor boomed and waved a hand across the room at awaiting guards whom understood the signal and opened the doors.

At least three guards came in, one of them holding onto a rope that stretched behind them where they didn’t seem bothered to look back as they moved forward, pulling on it.

Loki’s brow raised, forgetting to hide his wonder as his cup slowly lowered from his mouth and he subconsciously leaned forward in his chair.

The guards pulled in a woman, about a foot shorter than him with features that resembled nothing like those in this realm. Her wrists were bound, having been tied with the other end of the rope as the guards pulled and she stumbled along, barefoot and with a servants dress that stopped mid-thigh with very thin and plain material. Her skin was milk white, her hair platinum silver that hung down to her mid waist and didn’t hide her long, pointy ears while her eyes held an almost crystal blue hue. They were wide, fearful, and full of wonder of what might happen in the next few moments that seemed to match Loki’s expression as well.

‘’we’ve pulled her from the dungeons, found from the forbidden sands of Alfheim years ago. She held the title of ambassador, representing her royals before she stumbled upon forbidden grounds of Asgard.’’ Thor announced, the booze affecting the dramatic build up he hoped to have advertised for her as his eyes flashed a little to hers. ‘’trespassing it never taken lightly.’’

Loki’s expression was hidden well but his eyes gazed upon her with pity and curiosity. She carried Elf blood, and her features- although tired and broken- still held its representation of how powerful and beautiful her people were. She sank to her knees, out of fear or exhaustion, he didn’t know. But she looked about her in all angels as if she were a dog being tormented by a pack. Raising his glass to his lips, Loki’s eyes never left her as he sat back in his chair calmly.

‘’a dungeon whore, how thoughtful brother.’’

‘’only the very best for my little brother,’’ Thor grinned, a hand slapping down on his shoulder with excitement as he looked upon the slave as if it actually for him.

Quite frankly, Loki wouldn’t be surprised if Thor had used her up first, but with the way her eyes looked about with curiosity, wonder and fear, he knew she was unharmed in where she had stayed all these years below Asgard. Of course that was the catch.. Thor couldn’t even provide him with a victory whore and found it better suitable to pull one from the dungeons of Asgard. He probably could just throw her back in later and Thor wouldn’t ask him about it the next day. With the way he swayed and slurred, he might not even remember this feast when the night was through.

‘’thank you brother, to another victory.’’ Loki said simply and raised his cup for dismissal of this whole thing and Thor raised his cup with a grin towards the crowd.

‘’to Asgard!’’

‘’TO ASGARD!’’ everyone cheered and the music began again with dancing, drinking and feasting.

Thor looked over to the guards and waved a hand with an excited smile. ‘’see to it she is taken to Loki’s chambers, have her prepared.’’

Loki’s eyes closed in almost annoyance, hating having to go through such unnecessary and unwanted happenings but at least it was a good excuse to leave this party. Standing up, he hit Thor on the back with much less equal force and fainted a smile. ‘’thank you brother, I shall take my leave for the night.’’

‘’enjoy brother’’ Thor grinned and turned back to the festivities as if nothing had happened.

Back to being invisible. When it came to such things like this, it was preferred. Now that the whole room thought Loki would be ‘taken care of’ tonight, no whore would try to hang off him but did eye him with flirtatious wants. He flashed them his famous smirk, his cape flowing behind him as he passed and his grin didn’t drop until he was finally alone in the halls, making his way to his chambers.

Perhaps this woman will be a good way to take his mind off of today’s unnecessary happenings.

Insecurities

Anubis x Mesopotamian Goddess

Since a lot of you like Anubis HCs/oneshots so imma be continuing my Anubis fics. We lack information on him in RoR, so I’m adding some of his mythology in this one shot as a heads up. Set and Osiris will be presented. As many of you may know, Egyptian mythology has too many variations. So I’m doing the most known mythology on him, and probably will edit it later during Anubis’s round.

Synopsis: Set never liked you, not even for a moment. He hated how his nephew/son, was all over you like a dog, while Isis and Osiris were completely fine with you courting Anubis. Things could get heated between Anubis and Set.

Egypt was normally hot and humid during the day. You were visiting King Osiris with your father Marduk to discuss important diplomatic exchanges with Egypt since your country was neighbours to them.

You had grown rather accustomed to Egypt traditions and admired the wall decorations and architecture in the palace. As you found your way to a room with a fountain in the middle of it while your father and Osiris were discussing trade relations, you took notice of how quiet the area was. As you sat down near the fountain and was about to touch the water, you felt someone’s presence behind you and quickly turned your head nearly panicking. “Ah—! Sorry if this area is restricted!” You weren’t very good at socializing, in fact, your head apologizing silently.

“Huh? It’s not a problem! Besides who are you? Wait, wait you’re not from here actually… hmm,” he was getting really close to you making you nearly step back and trip over your own feet. As you finally glanced up at him, he looked joyful and not mad at all. His long hair was tied behind him in ball sections, and he wore a hat with the face of a jackal. He couldn’t be… no way. Anubis?! You were screaming inside your mind. You met him when you were kids and he has forgotten you. It stung a bit that he couldn’t even remember you.

“No one… it’s fine, I’ll find my way back to my father.” After you tried to dismiss yourself, he called your name making you halt. You basically confirmed his suspicions.

“No way! It’s you! It’s you!” He ran over to you giving you a bear hug of your life squeezing every ounce of air out of your lungs. You were confused by his actions. “I almost couldn’t recognize you, you look prettier and cuter now!” He still hadn’t let you go even when you tried to free yourself. His strong hold on you meant that he definitely missed you all these years.

“My boy! What the hell are you doing?! The king is calling for you.” Another man approached the two of you. Set… he was cold and stoic. Anubis lowered his head as if he was depressed.

Anubis turned to you and gave a cheeky grin. “I’ll see you later—"

“Absolutely not,” Set interjected Anubis who was growing irritated and was ready to defy his uncle. Set mostly hated Sumerians and looped you into his hatred. You were worried about being left alone with Set and silently hoped Anubis wouldn’t leave.

He didn’t, thank god. “And why not?!” Anubis shouted, he was angry. You had never witnessed him like this before. He was seething, Anubis wanted to fight Set.

“No Egyptian god should meddle with the likes of her kind.” Ouch. Set clearly hated Sumerians and you couldn’t help but wonder why. His brother was king, and his adoptive son, Anubis was defying him. Anubis saw your expression change as he was in pure shock at his uncle’s words. He didn’t like seeing you sad after Set put you down along with your people.

“Set, I think that is too harsh.” Isis approached the three of you to stop a potential fight. “This is no matter for you, Isis.” Set was about to raise his hand to Isis but Anubis jumped at him throwing Set against the wall.

“Don’t speak to her like that!” Anubis was pulled back from Isis. He wanted to kill him, the room tension was high. Isis was trying to hold him back and was angry at how her brother was acting this way. Set was cruel and always loathed Osiris and others' happiness.

“You inconsiderate piece of—" Set was caught back by Osiris entering the room with your father next to him. You were thankful that the conflict was stopped. You were saddened by how things turned out. You wanted to catch up with Anubis over the missing years but it seemed like things were impossible for such.

“It seems that I interrupted your squabble,” Osiris turned his head to Set. He was at a loss for words before Osiris told him to leave. He was fuming on the inside and you could tell.

“Are we leaving?” You turned to your father. You had regretted being in the middle of their family conundrums. It seems like your people will never be accepted here.

“What? Now?! Can’t you stay just a little bit longer?” Anubis was practically pouring and it hurt leaving again without any closure like last time.

“Sorry—" you were interrupted by Isis cutting in.

“How about you stay for a bit? I think you can do that, yeah?” She came up behind you and placed a hand on your shoulder. You were blushing a bit since Anubis was excited. Isis knew how depressed he was when the last time you left and it broke her heart seeing him sad for days, if not months.

Marduk and Osiris weren’t opposed to it at all, since they had other discussions regarding you as part of their alliance. It would be for another time to tell you.

You were already set to be wedded to Anubis.

It was kinda easy getting rid of Eloise. There's nothing better than a broken brake in the car to make sure she can't stop it while driving through a frozen road on her way to her village, making her have a crash.

It was easy acting desperate when he received the call from her parents, going there and looking at that girl he happily got rid of laying lifeless on a coffin. It was so easy convincing her parents saying that Violet, her childhood friend, is no longer her friend, making sure they don't even talk to her.

But now he has someone else on his radar. He has to make sure Lando is away from her, forever. He tried to warn him, sending him some gifts, some friendly reminders. But he's too stupid to use his brain and think that he should get away from her.

Lando Norris needs to get away from her, or else he will put his hands on the matter.

Kemetic Influences on Fire Emblem Three Houses (Part 1)

I know I have made a more unstructured post regarding this before; however, I am certain in my assessments that the influence of Ancient Egyptian mythology had on 3H is vast and more varied then I, personally, have seen people discuss. Yes, we know of the etymology behind Sothis and Seiros' names, but I believe these connections go much deeper than the surface level. This will be structured with me discussing what I am most sure in to what is more interpolation on my part. This part about Sothis is so long that it needs to be it's own post entirely. Sothis is based on Hellenistic/Roman period worship of Lady Isis

As we know, Sothis' name can be traced to one of the names of Sirius, specifically the Hellenized name of Sopdet the goddess of said star. However, this is surface level. Sopdet was often syncretized with Isis during the Hellenistic period and in Lady Isis, I believe, there are more clear allusions to Sothis and how she acts as a deity within 3H's world. Lady Isis is an Egyptian deity who was worshiped across the Mediterranean during the Hellenistic and Roman period. Sothis in her mythology, actions, and how she is depicted in-game shares remarkable similarities to Isis. The images and sources I will be using as a reference come from Dr. Andrew M. Henry's (ReligionForBreakfast) video on the topic and FEDatamine for everything regarding 3H.

Sothis and Isis are both "great mother" deities who act as supreme goddesses to their followers.

Even before coming to supreme status in the Mediterranean, Isis was an incredibly important goddess within Egypt. She was the bringer of magic, a guardian of women, a compassionate goddess who wished to relieve all human suffering, and much much more. All of these traits are extremely close if not direct parallels to Sothis. We know that magic within Fodlan is directly connected to Sothis through the visual of all the magic circles (save for Agarthan dark magic) and it can be postulated that, like Isis, Sothis magic was beyond the capabilities of other humans or other deities. Faith magic in particular is directly correlated with the ability to heal and protect, which is one of the main domains of Lady Isis in antiquity and modern day. She was the healer of the sick and injured, so much so that she often traveled in human form so that she could aid those who called out to her. I don't believe it is a coincidence that healing magic was reskinned as faith in this game given that context. And the connections continue beyond that. Consider this text from a temple to Isis in Cyrene:

During the Hellenistic period, Isis' power and prominence grew to wear she became a supreme goddess within these polytheistic societies. She was believed to be the ruler of time and fate itself, and, as stated here, one of the creators of the cosmos who first set time to course. She was often depicted holding a steering rudder or with the planet beneath her very feet as the goddess through which all fate flows.

Next, take this quote from Lucius Apuleius: The Golden Ass a text from a satirist, but nonetheless believed to hold elements of truth to Isis' worship during the Roman period.

Once again, we see the language that would describe a supreme, cosmic deity. Compare to similar wording in The Book of Seiros Part 1: "The goddess is all things. She is heaven above and the land below. She is eternity incarnate. She is the present, the past, and the future. Her eyes see all. Her ears hear all. Her hands receive all."

Due to this language, it is believed by some religious scholars, and presented within the video, that within the mysteries of Isis there was an element of henotheism at play. A philosophy within religious practices where one god is worshiped a supreme deity whilst not denying the existence of other gods, and such a system of worship is what I believe to be happening within Fodlan's religious context. Other gods are known to exist, they are spoken of in the Book of Seiros; however, Sothis is supreme goddess of Fodlan.

Now, I ask, what is Sothis' primary characteristics within the Church of Seiros and as depicted in game? She is the supreme Goddess of Fodlan, who's depicted with having control over time and fate itself (literally divine pulse), spoken of as a savior not only in the past but also through the actions of her vessel Byleth, who created all life (or at least the Nabateans) as "The Beginning", and the arbiter of souls as an explicitly afterlife related deity.

All of these traits are direct parallels to Lady Isis, and I am not even finished listing all the similarities. First take this quote from The Book of Seiros Part 2: "In the beginning, amid the great cloudless ocean, Fódlan came to be. At the end of a long journey, the goddess glimpsed that land and there alighted. Upon that sacred ground, she breathed life into the world and created all of the creatures upon it.

By the goddess's hand, plants took root, birds took to the sky, and animals roamed the land. Last of all, she created humanity." Within multiple Egyptian creation myths one of the prevalent and constant features is the primordial ocean of Nun. It was place of nothingness and chaos all at once, a "cloudless ocean" if you will. And from that ocean came the first land, the benben, and from there any number of gods created all life. This includes Isis, who within the inscriptions at Philae, is described to have created all life and the cosmos itself (Žabkar 1988, pp. 134.): "Indeed, she is the Lady of Heaven, Earth, and the Nether World, having brought them into existence through what her heart conceived and her hands created..." Both of them are related to the afterlife and are explicitly called out as deities of fate. Once again from the story of Apuleius:

Lady Isis' connection to the afterlife as she who guides the soul to it's fate goes back even further in Egyptian texts and she has been a funerary deity all the way back in Old Kingdom Pyramid Texts. Take that in context with Rhea's line of Sothis being the "arbiter of souls" and much of her cosmology in-universe revolving around the afterlife you have another link between them. Isis was said to be able to prolong a person's life if they were to follow her mysteries as she knew the lifespan of all people and could manipulate it with her magics. She also typically interacted with her followers via dreams. This is something Sothis is shown to do constantly with her appearing in Byleth's near death moments, within their dreams (at the beginning of the game and later during her speech regarding Fodlan's plight. And can I say, Sothis being aware of the blood being split and awakening Byleth to explicitly put it to an end is a very much like a savior goddess). Then, in Rhea's backstory, she said that she heard Sothis' voice within the Holy Tomb (or within Enbarr) and that is what lead her to take up the name of Seiros and begin to fight against Nemesis. Sothis inspiring the creation of the Adrestian Empire through Seiros, and Byleth's place to chose the fate of Fodlan, directly correlates to Lady Isis' role as a goddess of kingship. Her protection was explicitly called upon both during the defense of Egypt and during campaigns of military conquest, and that she alone was comparable of armies of soldiers. Isis and Sothis both are also transparently related to nature. They are callers of the rains (cited in the Philae Hymns for elsewhere and in-game for Sothis) and related to bounties of the harvest. In this way, Sothis may also cross into the sphere of Osiris who was more explicitly a fertility god and the ruler of the dead/judge of souls. An interesting similarity can be called to the myth of Osiris' death and dismemberment at the betrayal of his brother Set, Isis' incomplete resurrection of her husband, and Horus' becoming king of Egypt after contending with his uncle where he avenged his father; with how Sothis herself was killed and dismembered for her power, then Seiros' creation of Adrestia (where he also chose the first king) to avenge her mother, and her inability to resurrect her due to Sothis' body being scattered and incomplete (at least, until her ib/Creststone was placed within the intact khet of Byleth). But that is an aside for now. I want to finish this off with a look of the physical similarities between depictions of Isis and Sothis. Once again from Apuleius:

"Firstly her long thick hair in tapering ringlets was loosely spread over her divine neck and shoulders, and her head was crowned with a complex garland of interwoven flowers of every kind. At the centre, over her brow, a flat disc like a mirror or rather a moon-symbol shone with brilliant light. Coiled vipers reared from the right and left of her coronet which was bristling with erect ears of corn. Her multi-coloured robe was of finest linen, gleaming here pure white, here a saffron yellow, there flaming rose-red, with a woven border flowing with flowers and fruit, and what dazzled me most of all was her jet-black cloak with its full sheen, wrapped gleaming about her, slung from the left shoulder, knotted at the breast, and sweeping over her right hip. It hung in sweetly undulating complex folds down to a tasselled fringe, and along its borders and over its surface fell a scatter of glittering stars, round a full moon at the centre breathing fiery rays. And she bore a host of emblems." To me, there are some similarities between this and the depiction of Sothis plus how Rhea dressed and Byleth's Immaculate One outfit. The floral motifs of lotus flowers, the crisp white of Sothis' mural appearance and those of Rhea and Byleth, the crowns of flowers and star motfis, the way Isis bears many emblems around her, much of it bears some similarities to Sothis. But this is not the only depiction of Isis, let me show you some visual representations. Let us compare this mural of Sothis to some depictions of Isis:

Again, while not 1:1 there are some visual similarities in design. The white linen of her dress and the cut of it are fair similar, as are the wings that are associated with nearly every depiction of Isis. To show and example from Egypt:

The fact that Sothis is shown with feathered wings in particular feels important given her other similarities with Lady Isis. Plus the throne hieroglyph that represents Isis and often often seen above her head looks exactly like the throne of Sothis as seen in the Holy Tomb. Lady Isis is also known as the "Lady of the Throne" just like how Sothis is called the "Girl on the Throne." The amount of connections between them does not feel like coincidence to me. If you want to take the Romance into account as well, both Sothis and Isis are associated with floods in that case, especially with floods that are said to be caused by their sorrow. Sothis is a savoir deity who protected and saved from Fodlan from the destruction of the Agarthans; she is said to have caused a flood in the one, possible, Agarthan account we have. Her name is Sothis, transcribed from Sopdet, lady of the blue star, who was syncretized with Isis who also became manifest within Sirius. I think I will make one more note: the Rite of the Goddess' Rebirth is transparently related to Wep Ronpet, the cosmological new year in Kemetic religious practice. Both take palace in late July (or into early August for some dates of Wep Ronpet), both are related to the rising of a particular star (the Blue Sea Star is based on Sirius, this fact), both are related to the rebirth of the world and the gods, and both are a day of celebration with family and friends. As one final aside: in Kemetic practice, worship of the gods has always been an intimate and close affair, both in antiquity and in modern practice. Gods are active and immediate presences within the world, and they are presently felt within physical parts of the world. Ra, Aten, and other solar deities are all the sun, Nut the sky, Shu the air and wind. Various "truths" about natural phenomenon could all be true at once and created a multi-facted view of existence. So Sothis having the Blue Sea Star as her "home" are acting as her spiritual double entirely makes sense within this framework. Sothis' laws are also fairly similar to the Laws and philosophical underpinnings of Ma'at; however, delving into that is outside the scope of this post. So I will need to leave things off here.

Since season 2 looks to be so jam packed with stuff, I thought it would be fun to try to break down the episodes using the stories continuing from season 1 and the spoilery bits we learned from D23 and... yeah, there's a lot here.

I'm just making educated guesses right now, but I could easily see this happening in the show.

2x01 - Ancient Egypt. 'Rise of Apocalypse' adaptation. The team helps En Sabah Nur defeat Rama-Tut and Rogue makes her Faustian deal with him to get Remy resurrected. Bishop shows up at the end to collect everyone.

2x02 - The Future. 'Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix' adaptation. Scott and Jean spend some time raising teenage Nathan and are warned of the horrors that would be unleashed upon the world if Apocalypse were to ever rise to power. Bishop and the others show up at the end and the X-men return to the present.

2x03 - Present day. Bottle episode focusing on Forge's makeshift team, presumably consisting of some combination of Cable, Havok, Polaris, Iceman, Colossus, Archangel, Shadowcat and Emma Frost. They deal with the continuing fallout of Genosha/Asteroid M/the EMP and the ensuing chaos as Graydon Creed is poised to win the presidential election. Apocalypse begins positioning his chess pieces. The new Four Horsemen (let's say Deathbit, Madelyne/Pestilence, Shaw/War and Dazzler/Famine) make their first appearance and give the team a thrashing. The X-men return from the past/future at the end.

2x04 - The X-men are reunited, get caught up on everything they missed while they were gone and find Jubilee wherever she is. Magneto attempts to mend fences with Lorna, but it goes horribly since he did after all try to wipe out all life on Earth while she was, ya' know, on Earth. She doesn't forgive him, but convinces him to turn himself over to the authorities and answer for his crimes. Mags' second trial goes much worse for him than the first one did and he's thrown in a plastic prison like in X2; the last we see of him for a while (probably wishful thinking on my part, but you never know). Rogue leaves to search for Deathbit.

2x05 - Rogue confronts Deathbit. It goes horribly. She tries to absorb the Death persona out of him like she once did for Archangel, but Apocalypse has accounted for her powers this time and Deathbit is immune to them now. She's forced to fight him, shocked by Deathbit's ferocity and resentment toward her and not yet understanding what she needs to do to break Apocalypse's hold on Remy. The battle ends in a stalemate. Rogue is left confused and heartbroken as Deathbit escapes.

2x06 - Wolverine spotlight. Logan travels to Japan, searching for a way to get his adamantium back (I don't like this happening so soon, but we can assume from the D23 sneak peek that it'll probably go this way). He seeks out Lady Deathstrike since her father created the adamantium bonding process and has to fight Sabretooth for it.

2x07 - Nightcrawler spotlight. With the election looming, Kurt confronts his half-brother Graydon. It goes horribly. Mystique reveals herself, having infiltrated Graydon's campaign months earlier. Kurt tries to make peace with his family, but neither of them are interested in peace. The episode ends with Mystique assassinating Graydon and her continued allegiance to Apocalypse is revealed. She then takes Graydon's form and replaces him, meaning Apocalypse would control the White House if Mystique/Creed wins the election.

2x08, 9 & 10 - On the eve of the election, Apocalypse makes his move, committing acts of terrorism, giving Mystique/Creed more ammunition for the anti-mutant campaign Creed was running on, which Apocalypse has been secretly fomenting in order to provoke a human/mutant war. Xavier aides Rogue as she faces Deathbit again, allowing her to confront Remy on the psychic plane. He recreates the gala scene from 'Remember It' in Deathbit's mind, so Rogue can undue that little blunder by dancing with Remy this time and finally confessing her true feelings. Remy learns that Rogue had chosen him, not Magneto, and that she really does love Remy, which gives him the motivation to fight off the Deathbit persona. Meanwhile, the X-men battle the remaining Horsemen and Apocalypse. They're losing badly until a re-adamantiumed Wolverine, Xavier and Rogue, with Gambit, now free of Apocalypse's influence, arrive to turn the tide. Poccy is defeated, and with his machinations revealed, the public is swayed and President Kelly is re-elected.

Afterward, Gambit is back with the team, though he's left with trauma and PTSD from his death and resurrection. Xavier and the X-men are lauded as heroes in the media, so public perception is back on their side and things are looking up for a change... but unbeknownst to everyone, something is not right with Xavier as we get our first hint of Onslaught for season 3.

I think this accounts for every storyline we've confirmed so far, (or most of them at least) but that's just the stuff we've heard about. Who knows what else they've got in store for us that they haven't revealed yet. I'm crossing my fingers that we get longer episodes in s2 because they're definitely going to need more time to cover all this.

Why Ginny fell in love with Harry?

Many say she's perfect for Harry ( which is true) but people forget and don't mention how perfect Harry is for Ginny and why she loves him

What are your thoughts about this?

oooof, i can answer why Ginny likes him, but Harry as he is canon needs work to do before he can be a perfect partner to Ginny (or anyone else, for that matter).

First things first, Ginny likes (and aspires to be) a hero - "I knew you wouldn’t be happy unless you were hunting Voldemort. Maybe that’s why I like you so much."

Bill Weasley was her first hero - someone she and Ron clearly look up to, admire and kinda want to emulate: " “I’ve looked forward to coming to Hogwarts ever since B-Bill came” in CoS, her parents planning a trip to Egypt (to see Bill) post her very traumatic first year, and of course, "Bill doesn't like him either," she said as though that settled the matter.

Bill, as we see in canon, is extremely brave, kind/ non-judgemental (the fact that Ron can go to him with something he is ashamed of speaks volumes on who Bill is), an acts of service kinda caretaker (Bill moving back to the UK to be close to his parents, Bill moving them out of the Burrow to Muriels). These are the qualities Ginny finds admirable - and these are the qualities Harry also shares.

Harry never makes fun of Ginny's crush - quite rare for a 12 year old (pretending not to notice that she stuck her elbow in the butter dish), is quite kind and has saving-the-people-thing which covers the acts of service quality. He is also funny - and has a biting humour that Ginny very clearly appreciates. The only scene of them together as a couple in HBP has both of them feeding into the tattoo joke to take down Ron - "what did you tell them Ron's got?" "a Pygymy Puff, I didnt say where".

That said, growing into a perfect partner for Ginny post war - Harry has work to do. In canon, Harry has idealised Ginny into "something out of someone else's life" where he can see her marrying someone in a Voldemort free future. She is his "best source of comfort".

Given what Hogwarts was under Death Eaters, given the fact that Ginny is a revolutionary leader in her own right of DA, Harry and her have to fill gaps of their vastly different experience of war, and perhaps not corral her out of his regular dangerous life because he can't stand a repeat of Sirius' death ("what if this was your funeral, and it was my fault?"). @whinlatter does a very, very good job of exploring this dynamic in Beasts.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

Daily update post:

Two independent terrorist attacks against Israelis took place over the last 24 hours. Yesterday, a Hamas terrorist stabbed in the back a 49 years old Israeli reserves soldier, who stopped to buy something at a shop in a gas station, on his way home. The soldier turned around and, despite being injured, pursued the terrorist, shot and wounded him. The terrorist was later arrested, he had a permit to work in Israel. In the second one, a terrorist started shooting at civilian vehicles passing by, and ended up injuring a 27 years old woman. Thankfully, a baby who is 1.5 months old, who was in the car with her, was not injured, despite at least 10 bullets being retrieved from her vehicle. The IDF is searching for the terrorist.

Israeli soldiers have found and confiscated suitcases with 5 million shekels in cash from the home of a senior Hamas terrorist in Gaza. I want everyone to understand that this sum is currently 1,369,507 $ (yes, I checked with professor Google), and that most Israelis will never see that kind of money. I imagine a majority of "privileged" westerners never will, either. And this kind of money was just lying around in this terrorist's home...

The IDF has exposed and is now in control of what is likely the biggest Hamas terror tunnel. It is about 4 kilometers long (roughly 2.5 miles), and it is wide enough for vehicles to comfortably drive through it. Israeli soldiers have also found footage showing Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, doing exactly that, in addition to footage showing the construction of this terror tunnel...

I don't post every single day about the Israeli soldiers injured and killed in Gaza, because the truth is that it has become technically difficult and emotionally painful to keep track. Yesterday, five more soldiers were confirmed as killed, one of them having been injured last week, and he has now succumbed to his wounds. So far, 128 soldiers were killed in Gaza.

Last month, there was a cyber attack on Israeli hospital Ziv, trying to derail its medical activity. Israel has confirmed today that it has traced Iran and Hezbollah as responsible for the attack. If we count the cyber war (and in terms of requiring manpower and resources, as well as in terms of the potential loss in human life, there is no reason not to count it), then Israel has been defending its citizens on no less than six fronts.

The Iran-funded terrorist Houthis in Yemen have been attacking ships unconnected to Israel, for simply passing through territory close to Yemen. A lot of shipment companies from around the world have announced they will not be sailing through this area for at least a time, which means they would have to sail all around Africa, to pass goods between the far east and the western world. This will hurt the entire world's economy, as shipment prices are expected to rise (think of the Evergreen ship blockade of the Suez Canal... these ships will not be trying to get anywhere near the canal. Symbolically, Evergreen is one of the companies announcing they will no longer sail through the Red Sea due to the threat of the Houthis). This will financially hurt so many countries, including Egypt (which operates the Suez Canal), the US and China (this means Iran's move has created a rare moment when American and Chinese financial interests align). The biggest question is, when will the world fully take in the fact that the biggest threat to world peace is the Islamist regime in Iran, and start acting accordingly?

Out of all of the people who helped shape the Israeli-Arab conflict, he's probably the most influential one, an antisemite, a Nazi collaborator, and a believer in pan-Arab nationalism (he didn't want to fight Jews to establish a Palestinian state, he wanted to exterminate the Jews and establish a greater Arab Islamic state, a new chaliphate, if you will. There is a FASCINATING docu series in Israel, dedicated to the Arab and Muslim leaders who have fought Jews and Israel, interviewing intelligence agents from many countries. The ep dedicated to al-Husseini is unbelievable, and I wish everyone could watch it. It's available online, but sadly, only in Hebrew. Venus and Mars – Very much a blend of old and new musically, Venus and Mars are alright for now

Rock Show – He looks like a guy you knew way back when??Madison Square and long hair? alright buddy

Love in Song – You notice a lot of wanting, yearning, looking at the past here, The Homeland, remembrance, the love that once was there

You Gave Me the Answer – As it live here, this is a Linda song, however, it's structure, it's themes, it seems to suggest it would have been a John song, if given the chance, remembrance, also Granny Music lmao

Magneto and Titanium Man – Who among us will be strong enough to make Paul McCartney's marvel oc real?

Letting Go – This song is super John coded, it sounds like Beef Jerky, along with that we also get the mention of divinity, and Mother Nature

Venus and Mars (Reprise) – Wanting to go away on a trip, Running into a good friend

Spirits of Ancient Egypt – Okay we start with Baby and Love, making it seem pretty classicly Linda core, however! longing and yearning, spirits and the past coming over the phone? and "I know", okay pal

Medicine Jar – drugs!!! <3

Call Me Back Again – Certified mclennon classic, we all know it, we all love it, if you pair it with Tell Me What You See and I've Just Seen A Face you'll be sobbing for an hour

Listen to What the Man Said – We are right out of the gate with New Orleans mention, that classes this immediately as mclennon, ♥ love ♥, the ending is very late beatles

Treat Her Gently – Lonely Old People – A sweet song, also some yeahs in there, pretty Linda Coded as all things go, but could be a little mclennon-y if you want it

Crossroads – A nice outro and way out, Venus and Mars have met at the crossroads, but crossroads are meant for passing

I'd say overall, the original Venus and Mars is a very mclennon coded album, there are elements in the songs that you can feel were for John, and also just some great music, it's definitely really good.

Hey Diddle – I wonder who he could possibly be yearning for in this, who in the world could Linda be reassuring him that "next time around she will be here"

Let's Love – The piano, the style, this for sure was going to be a John song, the asking to spend this brief time together, the references to phones, oh my god, the ending notes sound like Dear Friend

Soily – Fun, whimsical, no value to the fag theory, but fun nonetheless

Baby Face – More whimsy and fun, Granny once more

Lunch Box/Odd Sox – the b-side to Coming Up, so, gay by proxy, not as much whimsy, more so melancholy

4th of July – bro... "you came in with him again/and suddenly, I knew it wasn't my day" what the hell

All in all, it's really gay, it's gayer than McCartney II could dream to be, it holds more weight because it's the sessions where John was supposed to be there, but couldn't, and that is reflected in most of the songs.
