I'm not planning to have kids, since, you know, aroace. But I have a hyphenated last name, and my mum asked me a while ago what I'm going to do about the last name situation if I do have kids. Her suggestion was to just pick one name. My idea was to give the hypothetical kid a triple-hyphenated name, or a quadruple-hyphenated name if my hypothetical partner also happened to have a hyphenated last name. I thought it would be hilarious. My mum didn't, but oh well.
