Well, so vengeance saga was... to be honest, exactly what I was afraid of.

Like, yeah, we continue this theme with humanizing gods too much. It looked strange on Athena, it looks even stranger on Poseidon.

I really looked forward to full "get in the water" because I was really interested in what Odysseus may say to escape Poseidon's wrath, but, seriously? Odysseus fisically beats the shit out of Poseidon with power of friendship on a reactive wind bag? And then torturs him? Like, what?

With all my love and respect for Odysseus, if Poseidon really hit him with all power he had or at least with the intent of killing, Odysseus would be dead faster then Polites could again sing his fucking "open arms". There were mortals who fought against gods, but Odysseus is definitely not one of them, especially there is no way Odysseus could OWERPOWER POSEIDON, okay, even with "600 men strikes" or whatever, what can 600 men do against Poseidon? Like he isn't some minor god, he isn't even from the second generation of Olympians. He is ONE OF THE THREE MAIN GODS, HE IS (from his words) AS STRONG AS ZEUS OR (from Zeus' words) ALMOST AS STRONG AS ZEUS, he would never lose to mortal in strength to strength combat and let this mortal torture him with his own trident.

AU where Ilene is Kong's priestess.

Ilene is responsible for taking care of the human child Kong adopts it for safe and protection: Jia.

Ilene's duties were a much normal like she is. She was being used in practices and offers for the great Kong to the people who worship him respectfully.

She is loyal and headstrong to help the people. Kong was grateful to have a caretaker, who is a priestess, to watch over his human child.

The more Ilene stares at him, the more she realized she has a strange feelings for him. She denies it, her job was important, not goggling her eyes over the ape. However, she did not know Kong is also have this feelings for this human priestess.

He had seen Jia talking to Ilene like it was a normal chat, and Jia even mentions that Ilene was a lot like a mother than a priestess.

Kong smirks, for he knows he must surprise Ilene privately...
