I'll tell you what, when I came up with the idea to make a silly little one-shot about Bruce's chronic adoption problem, I didn't think Flittermouse was gonna become a headbutting, dad-biting, bitchslapping, shadow-controlling little kid. I thought I'd get prompts like "heehee hoohoo what if the baby plays favorites with their brothers" or "haha what if the villains have a soft spot for the baby too" or something

Next you guys are gonna say Dick teaches them some non-lethal combat maneuvers, Jason gifts them a gun for Christmas, and Damian teaches them the best places to mortally wound somebody with a knife.

911 really is such a good reminder of the particularly kind of joy that is weekly, seasons-long shows with many episodes per season. every character gets a moment to shine even in a truncated season. the satisfaction of seeing characters grapple with stuff that happened YEARS ago. having multi-episode arcs and one-off arcs that are equally enjoyable. beach episodes (metaphorical). I know we're all saying this all the time but why can't more tv be like this

I find little Machete being happy over bread baking to be so endearing, especially because I can imagine a world in which helping with baking was one of the few childhood joys he had (due to the lack of art of him happy as a pup), and then remembering the art you did months back of modern Machete making a souffle, I can see reincarnated Machete being drawn towards baking in his free time due to those residual feelings from his past life.
