Honestly the sheer hatred for the Minecraft movie trailer and simultaneous mini resurgence of people talking about mcsm has me going back to that game.

Does anyone remember in Minecraft Story Mode S1 E6 where there were a bunch of Minecraft YouTubers in a murder mystery? And (Spoiler alert) CaptainSparkelz died no matter what you did? And it was DanTDM that accidentally killed him? And your choices could kill LDShadowlady or the aforementioned DanTDM? And Stampylongnose was the one who stole the item that started the whole situation? And StacyPlays was there but she did nothing? And there was one random non-YouTuber character who was obviously the murderer bc she was the only non-YouTuber who survived past the scene you met him?

I loved that so much, I used to bully Stampy and kill Lizzie almost every time because they were my favorite YouTubers and I was a weird kid. R.I.P Minecraft Story Mode, I can’t believe you can’t be purchased any more.

(MCSM Remake by WazzyWorks)

This fan-made project is made by Wazzy who rewrites and was able to construct a new story for this game in the form of an animated series and has a lot of help with voice actors, animators, artists, builders, writers, etc. for MCSM fans and newcomers to experience a new story of the Heroes’ journey. This is a remake of MCSM that will be fully-animated and a completely different story from the game.

“Block By Block: The Amulet” is a reimagining of the MCSM game developed by Telltale Games. They also add a lot of newer things that Mojang update for Minecraft like new creatures, blocks, biomes, etc. The axolotes, the Phantoms, the Warden, the amethyst, and Lush Caves did not appear in MCSM since it came out on October 13, 2015.

So as I said before, the remake is going to be completely different from the original game along with the plot, the characters, the locations, and everything. I also wanted to mention that Wazzy and his team are NOT affiliated, nor working with TellTale games or Mojang to bring MCSM games back and make Season 3. Like I said, this is a fan-made project. They had to change the title, the characters’ outfits, add new mobs, biomes, other new things from Minecraft updates, and rewrite the story completely different from the game to avoid copyrights.

The reason why they will not use “Minecraft Story Mode” as the title is because MCSM is owned by Mojang (even though they probably don’t care about it and are not planning to revive it in the future). And it could potentially get them sued, deleted, or anything bad like that might happen to his channel, which I hope that doesn’t! Wazzy and his team work really hard and put a lot of love into creating something amazing for a fan-made MCSM project. I would be really upset if something bad ever happens to their project.

Wazzy, if you’re reading this, I want to let you know that you are awesome and talented! Your team (like the voice actors, animators, artists, and builders) also did an amazing job for this project too! You really brought my childhood back and reminded me of why I love MCSM so much, which I’m really happy about.

It brings me joy to revisit my childhood and see the familiar characters that we know and love. It’s also nice that MCSM is still remembered and fans really love this fan-made project, and are also excited as I am to watch the remake. And your animation skills have improved well and it looks incredible. Outstanding too,

Despite so many flaws MCSM games have, it still holds dear to my heart. The official trailer you released is incredible and made me speechless! The animation, the backgrounds, the lighting, and everything in the trailer looks so COOL! This is a lot more epic than I imagined, and also breathtaking. Knowing how determined and passionate you were with your project, you did a fantastic job to make something awesome!

Anyway, I’m so excited to watch Block By Block: The Amulet when it releases. I hope you and the team will still be able to continue the MCSM remake. Would like to make fanfiction of Minecraft Story Mode 😎

I plan on writing my own ideas as well as my version of events/own twist on the game's story itself! By this I mean the choices I like to make and adding some of my own events as well. I know these are common I just think I personally have something to offer! Plus the more preservation of the game's overall story we have the better ^_^ I love these games so much and I don't ever want them to die!

Then of course I have my own original stories for MCSM, it's just that my version of the games' stories provide context.

(Also it's probably going to be rated teen/PG13 and possibly even mature for some chapters, though for the latter I'm going to try to make them not necessary for the story when I can! I know the game itself is E10+ and meant for a general audience but I'm too much of a freak tbh. I like making intense content)

I plan on making 3 different universes:

Red Suspenders Jesse (and Jesskas) <= currently working on this one

Red hairclip Jesse (and Jesstra)

Red pants/peach sus Jesse (Jerkesse. No hate to any Jesse variants- I love them all!)

I also have a few short stories about red sus already written that I plan to integrate into the greater narrative once it's done. I have them already published on Wattpad and plan to publish them on AO3 and Fanfiction too.

Now this is gonna take a while to write so uh- feel free to ask any questions! I'm also going to share some tidbits about each universe real quick below.

SPOILER WARNINGS FOR BOTH SEASONS JUST IN CASE 🚨🚨🚨

You have been warned! I highly recommend experiencing the game for yourself if possible or watching a playthrough!

Okay let's experience a sampling of my chaotic brainrot!

Red sus: This Jesse is the most cinnamon roll of the 3 Jesses, but he's still savage as that is a classic Jesse trait. He's also the most honest of the 3, his mindset here is probably best encapsulated by the phrase "honesty is the best policy." He tends to relate more to Olivia than Axel, but he deeply loves them both. He takes Hadrian's deal without hesitation.

Jesse particularly likes the Ender Defender armor and uses it during S1. He also thought the best way to keep Magnus' armor would be to care for it and it not be damaged. He decides to branch out in S2 and wear the Shield of Infinity armor, then Please Don't Hit Me. He takes Romeo back with them home with no hesitation, even if he's p.o.'ed at the man. He told Petra he'd be right beside her as she found herself at the cabin, and follows through on his promise once Beacontown is rebuilt and stable enough (and he works on some personal business). He turns down Stella's offer as he thinks Lluna and her are meant to be.

During their travels, Jesse realizes how much he missed animal companionship due to Lluna. He keeps an eye out for his new companion, and comes across a bat in a cherry grove. The Order had troubles with bats previously whereas now they're turning over a new leaf. This new friend symbolizes new beginnings. Because of this and the fact that she was found in a cherry blossom biome, Jesse names the bat "Bloom." I love Bloom so much y'all. I hope you will too 😊

Red hairclip: She's less optimistic than red sus Jesse, but still a fair amount so. This Jesse still appreciates truthfulness but it's not a core feature she has or one she seeks like red sus Jess. She's less trusting than red sus Jesse so she doesn't take Hadrian's deal (though she's willing to sacrifice herself for her loved ones no question).

She thinks the best way to keep the armor is to wear it, killing the Witherstorm in honor of Ellegaard. Briefly before their Portal adventures though she tries wearing the Dragonsbane armor and falls in love. In S2 she wears Star Shield and Golden Apple.

Since Jesse chose to leave Nurm behind she has a stronger bond with Lluna, and takes Stella up on her offer to keep the fashionable llama. She is torn between adventuring with Petra and staying to keep leading her beloved town. She ultimately stays in Beacontown, at least for quite a while. That is until Jesse realizes how much she loves Petra and goes out to search for her.

Red pants/peach sus: And then there's THIS asshole. Tbh he's not as developed as the other two yet, but he's not the funnest guy to be around. He still cares on some level for his friends, but he sees them more as a means to an end. He's incredibly selfish and egotistical, soaking up all the glory from his "heroism". All of his actions are motivated by things that'd benefit him. Therefore he sure as heck doesn't take Hadrian's deal.

Not sure whether he takes Magnus' or Ellegaard's armor. S2 he wears Tim's armor because you know. Fancy and diamonds and stuff. He gets no 2nd animal sidekick, he didn't treat the first one right!

It’s 3AM where I live at the time I’m writing this, and I am once again thinking way too much about the Hexsquad. Don’t know where I got the idea to begin with, but I was thinking about all the games we see on Luz’s laptop and then started wondering what it would be like if she introduced the rest of the Hexsquad to the world of human games, and what games they’d all enjoy.

I’ve not really seen this discussed anywhere, but these are just ideas I’m having in the moment of my sleep deprivation that I wanna share and yap about in my usual rambling fashion. I’d love to hear peoples thoughts and head-canons if they have any for this idea too too!

Amity:

I personally don’t think Amity would be that into gaming, at least not compared to the others. But if she were to have games she enjoyed, I can see her liking visual novels first and foremost as there’s something fun about throwing yourself into the story and having a choice in the direction things go/how you interact with the characters that she found so appealing; this idea kinda comes from the episode where we found out Amity had a secret collection of Good Witch Azura books and how she drew fan-art of herself with one of the characters.

I can also see Amity enjoying a rhythm game once in a while as they’re easy to pick up and put back down without having to worry about remembering a story; it isn’t too hard to learn them in the begining but the want to get good at them can become addicting. I feel like she’d love the casual competition in them and that she’d work hard to get the highest score she could so she can place in the leaderboards. Her enjoyment of rhythm games would soon lead her to get heavily into DDR and she’d enjoy going to play it at the arcades with Luz on their dates, I think she’d pick up on it astonishingly fast.

Gus:

Sandboxes all the way! I can’t explain why this is my first thought for the life of me, but I can see Gus really enjoying The Sims and Minecraft particularly in the sandbox genre. I especially love the idea that he’d play MC on splitscreen mode with his friends if there was a console in the Noceda house. I think Gus would also really enjoy RPG’s too, especially if he found one or two of Luz’s old JRPG games lying around. I feel like he’d love the flashiness of the fights and ‘all of the amazing stories humans come up with’.

If he got into Sims, I feel like he’d create a household based on him and his all living together a giant house, maybe he’d even make a household based on the crew in Cosmic Frontier. I like to think he’d excitedly drag the rest of the Hexsquad to come see the things he’s made/done in the game too.

At some point he’d wonder if it’d be possible to make a ‘real life sims’ with illusions, though he’d hesitate to try it out as he was worried something would go wrong (as it seems illusions sometimes do the opposite of what you want, as seen with his illusion clone in one of the episodes, I don’t remember which one rn lol).

Willow:

I don’t know what this genre would be considered, and I feel like this is totally obvious, but if she were to get into games I can see Willow absolutely loving the games that require a lot of player-movement, think things like Just Dance, Wii Fit Ring, Beatsaber, etc etc. Anything to get the blood pumping. She’d find it fun how she could get her friends to join her on the multiplayer ones and enjoy the playful competition of it all.

In her down time/when she needs to cool down from some intense training/exercise if she wanted to play games she’d probably enjoy a good cozy game such as a gardening simulator. For her, while it wouldn’t be the same as taking care of real plants, it’d be nice to have her own little digital garden she can look at and make as big as she wants (especially while they’re stuck in the human realm, I can’t remember if this is canon or fanon but I feel like she’d have a greenhouse back at home in the Demon Realm? And she’d miss it a lot; so it’d be nice to try and recreate it in a game.)

Last of all, Hunter!

I will admit, some of my ideas for Hunter in this is partially me projecting some of my fave genres, but I can genuinely see Hunter being big on puzzle and strategy games! Basically anything that requires him to think and or learn tactics on how to best play the game. I feel like he’d enjoy a good mystery once in a while too.

I think Hunter would probably enjoy the idea of stealth games too, but he’d struggle playing them either because it reminds him of his time as Golden Guard too much, or he gets way too anxious trying to stay stealthy in them and it ruins all the fun for him. I can see him also maybe getting into rougelites/likes or dungeon crawlers because of Luz. They’re easier to get into than stealth games as they don’t cause him as much stress.

At some point he’d find a game he loves out of all the ones he tried and focuses on that one and that one only, he just completely obsesses over completing/getting good at it as he needed something to keep him occupied as having nothing to do makes him nervous. So much so he ends up 100%ing it in a shockingly short amount of time. Everyone is worried because his eye-bags are getting worse, but it’s thankfully not nightmares keeping him up this time like they probably assume. He just got way too into the game and would forget to sleep.

I believe i can make a better Minecraft movie than the garbage that is being produced rn. This isn't even "oh i'm totally a better writer than these professionals" this is because they seem to be ignoring the 'themes' of Minecraft in favor of corporate sanitation, and I can do better than a corporation.

So where to start? Well, by analyzing the 'themes' of Minecraft I mentioned. And what are those? Well, 3 major things imo.

Number 1; Creativity; Minecraft itself is a sandbox game, naturally one of the major themes it carries is creativity. You can create anything you want, the worlds your oyster in Minecraft.

Number 2; Community; While Minecraft can be a single-player game, the whole of the game has become about a community of people. SMPs, Minigame servers, even outside the game Minecraft is about community. As much as people may not like the mob vote, we come together as a community to decide things that we want to come to the game!

Number 3; Love; Now you might look at me weird for this one, but Minecraft is full of love. Love by Minecraft content creators who LOVE the game for all its worth, mod makers who love to create new content for the game, even the Minecraft End Poem. "And the universe said I love you, because you are love-" the game is full of love.

Now are these things the end all be all of 'themes' in Minecraft? No, of course not. It's a sandbox game which means themes can be all over the place, but these are the themes I personally would use in a Minecraft movie since without these themes a movie would fall flat. And if we're all honest with ourselves, just from that newest trailer the Minecraft Movie has NONE of these.

There's no creativity (just another jumanji isekai ripoff) no community (aka no one in the community seems to be liking it) and no love (it's a corporate cash-grab through and through)

But how would i fix that? Well, I have a few ideas.

First and foremost; who are the protagonists and antagonists? Well OBVIOUSLY Steve and Alex are our protagonists. Steve has lost his memories and must find out what happened to them, and Alex? Well she is related to his missing memories (also NO, no romance between them. No "oh she's a STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER" in the Hollywood way) And the antagonists? Well, one would first assume Herobrine- but i think that's too easy. What about the Piglins like the actual live action? Also no. So who the hell is the antagonist? Well that depends, an antagonist would be in opposition to all of the themes that I listed- Creativity, Community, and Love. What in Minecraft fits this? A destructive force that acts alone and out of hate (or at least some kind of hate.)

The Wither.

But hasn't Minecraft Story Mode used the Wither for its story? Yes, yes they did. But why fix whats not broken? The Wither is a GREAT antagonist if the themes of Minecraft are as I listed above. Not to mention you can do a LOT with the Wither. It doesn't just have to be a large monster, it can be many things. For this movie the Wither is akin to a blight spreading across the land, killing anything in its path, reducing it to a greyed out violent form of its past self.

Next; What would the general plot be? Well, the general idea is that Steve wakes up without his memories. All he has is a journal with his name on it and a few entries (how to craft, certain creatures and what they drop, etc. The basics of Minecraft) but there's also a map that leads him to a village, which is when the plot truly kicks off when he defends the villagers from some Pillagers (Villagers who have been affected by the Wither blight.) The story follows Steve as he finds Alex (who is related to his unknown history. She admits she also has very little memory. All she knows is that she knows HIM and they need to stick together) and then they travel to find what caused the Wither blight; what happened to their memories; and how the hell are they going to stop the blight/get their memories back. The climatic point of the story reveals that THEY are the reason the Wither blight is spreading, both had accidentally unleashed it while exploring a Stronghold that held the Wither, which also explains their lost memories (somehow, i don't have the specifics its OKAY- this is a concept for a reason)

At the climax itself Steve is dying. There's a reference to the End Poem, he comes back to life (because obviously it's Minecraft. You revive) and him & Alex manage to stop the Wither blight as well as reverse it, obviously saving the day.

Now there's a lot of holes in the idea, but as I said it's a CONCEPT i'm toying around with because I do believe this basic structure would provide a much more fulfilling movie than game isekai with popular actors #12. I'd love to see people add on to this since as I said, COMMUNITY is one of the largest parts of Minecraft, and personally i love building on others ideas.

when I had just started getting back into the game a couple months ago, I came up with a nonserious headcanon that the folks in mcsm are rp'ing the story together, mainly out of reminiscence for when I roleplayed quite often in Minecraft when I was younger.

I don't think I have the time or energy to actually expand on it but a few things I had come up with at the time were:

- Ivor's the organizer of the whole thing and is stoked about the character he's playing, as well as the lore he's helped come up with.

- Jesse is still a bit new to the game and hasn't rly roleplayed before, but they're kinda just going along with it and trying their best. everyone else is being pretty chill with them thankfully and some might even be taking it a bit easy on them (thus why some decisions might not have massive consequences)

- a specific example of this I just thought of is related to one scene where Ivor aims a potion of harming at Petra and you can deflect it back at Ivor, but even if you fail to do so the game still acts like you succeeded, and Ivor acts like he's hurt. so in my head Ivor does the equivalent of when a parent pretends to have been injured when playing with their kids and I just think that's funny imagery-

- Petra, Olivia, and Axel are quite good at their respective playstyles but aren't super familiar with roleplaying. however, they're going along with it and they're kinda just aiming to have fun.

- Lukas writes as a hobby outside of Minecraft so it wasn't too hard for him to come up with his character. before this rp he probably mostly played the game on creative mode.

- Ivor and Harper are married irl, and Harper ends up joining the rp later after expressing interest in it.

again this isn't rly meant to be a serious hc, it's kinda just fun and silly and it's very much just out of nostalgia for when I would participate in rps as a kid. I rly miss those tbh and I kinda wanna take part in one of those again someday, even tho I'm kinda bad at roleplaying now lol

Alright, so, nobody else has done this yet so I will. Presenting...

A Full Summary of Wynncraft: Rekindled World

Explaining the Upcoming Wynncraft Update through a handy bullet point list. Here's what we know is in the upcoming update so far.

Mobs and enemies are being completely revamped including not just bosses but standard enemies too, with the mob system being rebuilt from the ground up.

There will be 350+ unique mob AIs and Abilities which I'm assuming means some mobs will just use the same AI as other mobs.

There will be 300+ new models for entities, which I'm assuming means some entities will just share models with others. This includes not just hostile mobs but also passive mobs like sheep and pigs. I'll admit, I'll kinda miss the classic Minecraft mobs. I won't miss the mobs that are just a bunch of blocks jumbled together into the vague shape of a creature. All these models have their own unique animations. Especially the bosses.

The UI and interface are being completely reworked with a unique look that meshes Minecraft and modern rpg UIs. So, uh, if you use Wyntilis things'll probably break.

Brand new music that's even higher quality!

Teleport scrolls are no longer one use. Instead, they have multiple charges that recharge over time, no longer requiring you to go back and buy more constantly.

Soul points are gone and outside of Hardcore and Hunted mode you'll only drop materials and ingredients upon death.

Scrap is being, er, scrapped and items can instead be repaired with just emeralds.

Raids have been reworked to provide a more streamlined experience better suited for endgame players.

All challenges and bosses have been reworked! Raids now scale to each party member's own level.

If you buy a Silverbull subscription (for some reason) you can unlock new effects and rewards for raids. Also up the challenge with unique challenges or whatever.

If some or all of your raiders are from the same guild, they trigger a guild raid which makes the raid harder and the rewards better.

Aspects are rewards that you can get from raids and guilds that enhance your abilities. They're shared across all your characters and you can have five enabled at a time.

World Events are now a thing! Sometimes there'll be a world event and if you get there in time you can fight a huge crowd of enemies and a boss for lots of xp and rewards.

Once a week a Major World Event will trigger near the Corruption Portal and all players above lvl 30 (though I suspect you'd be better off at a much higher level than that) can fight a massive boss called Annihilation with the power to end the world. Defeating him gives you a corrupted cache which contains powerful items.

A lot of the level 30-39 quests have received some touch ups.

Improved fights.

Dungeons (sans Eldritch Outlook and Fallen Factory) no longer require quests to access. I assume the dungeon quests will simply be reworked and not removed entirely, seeing as most of them provide important story and lore information (Slykaar's in particular).

Also you get a free second chance if you die during an attempt.

Improved builds including Mt. Wynn! Finally! That Mountain always looked kinda sparse to me.

Random events, both beneficial and harmful, during Lootruns.

And more that hasn't been revealed yet!

When i was younger, like really young, i wasn't actually much of an online person at all, i used to be this kid who went to school, was this social person, go back home, play outside, the usual.

so, context behind the next part, i'm an only child with parents that live away from eachother, my dad and mom are not together, and have never been married. The story of how that happened i still have to piece together

eitherway, during this time i had to move from one side of the country to the other every week or so (i live in a small country, it's not very difficult to get to another side) and when i happened to be at my dad, i was MUCH more of a online individual, at this time i had a computer that i'd spend like ALL of my time on, (With the natural childhood problems that come with being online a lot at a young age)

I'd play so many video games during that time and all nonstop because i couldn't anymore once i was home, i'd have the entirety of scarface (modded without the guns (until it had a update)) mapped out in my head, have several cars games, those stupid school games every school had and so much more on that computer, this led me to become kind of half chronically online, and this'd stay that way until i realised that,, my computer has an internet connection, and minecraft has a multiplayer mode.

So, young me, curious about the incredible powers of the internet, way younger than i should be hopped onto minecraft, woodycraft in specific

I spent YEARS here, here is where i realised i was much more compatible with the internet, where i would spend ALL my time, i'd have learnt about ocs, roleplaying, building, skin competitions, ALL OF IT and ever since that day, i always wanted a tablet, a internet device to take with you where-ever you wanted to, a dream

Months went by, i got a cheap tablet after waiting for like 2 birthdays, and all the natural chronically online motions happened, childhood internet problems, online presences, amino, fandoms.

and i think, that day, i truly changed in my entire being

anyway, that's how i got to the level of autism and problems with humans i have today!! Just a autistic kid with too much internet access exploring the internet like an obsessed individual

It's one of the very first stories i can remember, and it's close to my heart, because without it, i wouldn't have met all the wonderful people i have!!

also i became obsessed with computers at this point and that led to me being a robot, but that's a story for another time

Jimmy ended up standing in front of the bracket board for far longer than was really necessary. The poll results from the most recent round of voting had been revealed a few hours ago. The cacophony of sound that had filled the tournament facility back then had long since lessened to only a small scattering of voices and laughter. Everyone who had been bombastically celebrating victories or mourning losses, discussing potential outcomes or jokingly squaring up against their next competitor with an air of friendly competitiveness…many of them were long gone, either heading back to home servers to do a little more recording before the next set of results came out, or leaving with friends to enjoy the rest of the tournament from afar. Some, too, were probably going to kick into campaigning mode the second they left.

Scott had done that, Jimmy knew. Scott had promoted his own name and sent out a call to arms among his viewers throughout the competition, asking for their votes and using sly tactics to sway the poll in his favor. And it had worked.

Scott had won and Jimmy had lost.

Jimmy tilted his head to the side, the feathers around his ears flaring as he squinted at the little percentages below their names. With himself at 46% and Scott at 54%, it had been a close race. Closer than Jimmy had expected, if he were being honest with himself, though that thought didn’t dissuade his disappointment. He had hoped to do well, of course, but he had also known that Scott was a fairly well-known name in the Minecraft world. Between MCC and the multitude of SMP series he participated in on a regular basis, he definitely had a lot of supporters…and in a competition like this, one couldn’t discount the fact that being popular was an asset.

His eyes trailed a little lower to a pair of names four spots down on the bracket from his own. WilburSoot – 54%, TangoTek - 46%. Tango had lost as well, by the exact same margin as Jimmy himself had. Despite the loss, Jimmy felt a small smile tug at the corner of his mouth.

Almost as if summoned, a familiar and warmer-than-human hand slipped into his, tugging gently.

“Hey Jim,” Tango spoke up, coming up to stand close at his shoulder. “You’re still here?”

Jimmy hummed noncommittally, his eyes dancing from name to name again. He had initially come to the bracket board to make some guesses on who exactly might move on in the next round, but…well. He had gotten a bit distracted.

There was another tug on his hand, almost playful.

“It’s over, man. Almost everyone else has left.”

Jimmy finally dragged his focus away from the board to look at Tango. His soulmate was watching him with a soft sort of understanding in the red of his eyes, his head tilted ever-so as he took Jimmy in. Jimmy’s smile brightened a little and warmth swirled beneath his ribcage. Against his back, the tension melted out of his wings. He hadn’t seen Tango much since this whole thing had begun. He wasn’t ashamed to admit he missed his partner.

“...yeah, I know,” he said finally. “I was just - looking.”

“Heh, I can tell,” Tango chuckled. “You’ve been just looking for a while.” His eyes flicked over to the board and lingered on the spot Jimmy had been stuck on for longer than he’d care to say. “...are you alright? I knew Scott was gonna be tough competition, but…still.”

Jimmy took a slow breath. Was he alright? He pondered it for a moment, his thumb tracing circles against the back of Tango’s hand where it was still held in his grip.

“I’m good,” he decided finally, smiling sideways at Tango. “Great now, actually. This was fun! It’s just a silly game anyway, isn’t it? And hey!” His wings puffed up, a bit of cheeky humor lighting up his eyes. “I wasn’t out first this time!”

At that, Tango laughed, a brilliant grin lighting up his face.

“You weren’t out first!” he agreed. “You did good, buddy!”

“We both did,” Jimmy corrected, even as the compliment from Tango settled like warm honey in his chest. He cast one last glance at the board before turning away, letting Tango lead him out of the little poll center that he had been in and out of for the better part of the past few days. “Don’t think I didn’t see how close you and Wilbur got in your poll as well.”

“I wasn’t even campaigning!”

“Well neither was I!” Jimmy countered, setting Tango off into bright barking laughter again. He grinned, chuckling, and squeezed Tango’s hand where they were joined between them. Their shoulders bumped gently as they walked, Tango’s slightly lower than his own, and Jimmy curved his right wing out to curl around his partner’s back. Void, but he’d never get bored of this. “...did you notice our results were almost identical?” He spoke up after a moment. “Forty-six percent, both of us. What’re the odds of that?”

“Hmm, weird…” Tango mused. He cast Jimmy a sly sidelong glance. “I dunno, that’s a heck of a coincidence. It’s almost like we’re soulmates or something–”

“Wh– Tango!” Jimmy laughed, bumping Tango’s shoulder on purpose this time, and Tango’s shoulders hunched up with the quiet snickering he tried to hide behind his hand.

“Alright, alright, enough talk about polls!” he said instead, yanking Jimmy off toward the portal back to the server hub. “I’ve missed you. I need some proper cuddle time with extra cuddles. So you pick - your place or mine?”

“Mmm…mine,” Jimmy said. The comfort of his own bed after such a tension-filled morning was more tempting than anything.

“Back to the ranch, huh?” Tango’s eyes were bright when he cast a glance back over his shoulder. “I like the sound of that.” He stepped into the purple swirl of the portal and tugged Jimmy after him, both of them tucked close to fit through the obsidian doorway together. Tango grinned up at him and Jimmy had to tuck his wings close to keep them from puffing up under his soulmate’s affectionate gaze.

“C’mon, rancher. Let’s go home.”

Vos Possession AU: (Minecraft: Story Mode)

Three written versions and what they mean: || Vos: regular blorbo || ‘Vos:’ Romeo in control || Admin!Vos: final battle (giant with red sclera + yellow pupils) ||

General Overview: (This AU builds heavily off of what we see in game so if you’re unfamiliar with the story, this may seem a bit confusing. Sorry. Also this masterpost is currently a little behind with additions so if you want to read more about this AU, check the #Vos Possession AU tag below.)

After the failed treasure expedition left Sammy dead and Vos trapped, Jack escaped the Sea Temple and vowed never to return. (At the time, he did not realize Vos was still alive. More on that here.) Jack later met Nurm and the two set up their adventure emporium. Vos knew he wouldn’t be able to escape the obsidian cage on his own; not only was he missing a diamond pickaxe, but the elder guardians were still afflicting him with mining fatigue.

Romeo was eagerly watching the three go through the trial and was disappointed to see them all fail one by one. (Sammy - dead, Vos - unable to continue, Jack - escaped) He decided that since Vos couldn’t beat the challenge, he wasn’t worth his time. However, Romeo figured that Vos may prove useful later so instead of killing him, he left him in the cage on the ceiling of the temple. (Switching that up here.) Vos soon resorted to rationing his food and waiting. [The dialogue of “If you sit absolutely still, you’d be amazed at how long a stack of pork chops will last you.” was extremely clever so I’m implementing that here-] I also like to think that the cages can give you status effects since Romeo is literally God and can do whatever he pleases. The cage gave Vos slowness which allowed the world around him to progress normally while he aged at half speed; although it’s been ten years since he was first locked away, to him it’s been only five.

When Jesse and the group find him in the Sea Temple, Vos is ecstatic- especially to see Jack again.* He’s glad his friend is still going on adventures. Romeo sees an opportunity to better study this new champion (Jesse) and waits. When the group is distracted by the runes Nurm translates, Romeo takes this chance to possess Vos. Since Vos has had little interaction with the admin, it’s a jarring and abrupt transition (more on that below) which terrifies him. Romeo sees this as Vos’ way of paying him back for sparing him in the temple: “I saved your life… the least you can do is help me out here.” To Vos, some unknown entity has just assumed control and he is unable to even call to Jack for help. “WTF? WHO ARE YOU??” (/j but pretty much-) Romeo’s influence also gives ‘Vos’ admin abilities (such as how he was able to swim back to the surface without a diving helmet.)

Throughout the ice palace segment, ‘Vos’ is having a blast. (Romeo is so happy to be in fitting company even if they are unaware he is there.) Jack attributes this to his friend being excited to go on adventures again. However, Jesse finds his behavior confusing considering how his last encounter with an admin-made construction went. Romeo also takes this opportunity to divide the group by pointing out the gap in experience between certain members. Vos meanwhile is frantically trying to figure out what is happening and why he can’t control anything he is doing or saying. He tries reasoning with what/whoever this entity is, but Romeo ignores him for the most part by blocking out Vos’ thoughts. After falling into the icy water in either challenge room, ‘Vos’ is dragged along by the stream to a hidden area in the palace where Romeo decides to explain things to him.* This is when Jack notices Vos is not with Stella and Radar in the palace’s holding chamber when Jesse’s group arrives to rescue everyone.

When the time comes for the big reveal, Romeo separates from Vos and introduces himself to the half of Jesse’s group that stayed behind to look for him. Vos in turn falls unconscious for a few minutes because suddenly getting full control of your body back is disorienting- After realizing that none of his champions want anything to do with him, Romeo offers Vos the position as his champion and friend. Vos is understandably scared out of his mind after witnessing firsthand what the admin is capable of. This angers Romeo even more, feeling betrayed by the one whose life he spared. “I should have just left you to rot in that temple. Oh, well I guess that’s still an option…” As punishment for being “ungrateful,” Romeo teleports Vos back to the Sea Temple much to the horror of Jack.* (Dang, back to the brita filter, smh-) From here, the story plays out mostly the same except Jack/Petra (whoever accompanies you to the Sunshine Institute) will mention Vos a few times: Jack is understandably devastated and will brainstorm ways of getting back to save Vos, and Petra will express determination to save her idol’s best friend.

During the final battle in the Terminal Zone, Romeo brings Vos back from the Sea Temple (both to use him as leverage against Jesse and to appeal to Vos once more.) To Vos: “Look at how much we’ve been through already. We’re not a bad team, you and I!” Realizing Vos still doesn’t want to be his champion, Romeo forcefully merges with him one last time in an attempt to kill Jesse. The fight ensues as normal with Admin!Vos using his abilities to grow in size in an attempt to crush Jesse. After Admin!Vos is defeated via the gauntlet, Romeo separates from Vos and loses the ability of size manipulation. When Romeo swaps the battlefield to the second stage, Vos is warped to the main room in the Primary Terminal where Jack and Petra are anxiously waiting for Jesse to return. He is welcomed with open arms and the trio share a moment before needing to aid Jesse in the final stage of the battle. (Cut to defeat:) With Romeo’s remaining powers taken away, he is left as his normal human self and the Terminal Zone begins to fall apart. Jesse decides to bring Romeo with them as the group rushes to escape. On the bridge when the prismarine colossus attacks, Vos freezes up flashing back to the Sea Temple. Jack notices and grabs his friend and they all escape through the portal when Radar shows up with the giant enderman. Back in Beacontown, the group is finally able to relax. (More on the aftermath TBA.*)

Altered Relationships:

Jesse and Vos bond over their respect for pigs (with Jesse being thankful that Reuben saved his/her/their life and Vos knowing he wouldn’t have survived in the temple without his rations of cooked pork chops.) The two visit Reuben’s memorial whenever Vos is in town. Both avoid eating pork as well.

Vos apologizes profusely to Lukas and Radar for everything Romeo made him say to them in the ice palace. They are quick to forgive him since they knew it wasn’t really him saying all of those things. Despite this, Vos still wishes he had made a better first impression.*

Petra reminds Vos of Sammy and he appreciates her company on their new expeditions. With his old friend back in his life, Jack is once again inspired to begin adventuring again. The three of them are constantly out adventuring, usually with Jack and Vos taking Petra to see old ruins they found. Nurm sometimes comes along whenever they’re exploring a new area, but usually stays in Beacontown to tend to the shop and its trinkets.

—Adventure trio character explorations!

—Although we never see it fully in game, Vos has long, unkept hair from the years in the Sea Temple. When meeting for the first time, Jesse offers a prismarine shard to Vos in case he wants to use it to cut his hair.* He refuses, but decides to keep the shard as a trinket.

—Vos has faded blue eyes. (+ developed photophobia) When Romeo is in control, his eyes are a darker shade of navy, and can swap to the iconic red sclera + yellow pupil eyes we see in the big reveal / Admin!Vos fight.

—Romeo is able to switch between Creative and Spectator Mode which he uses to go about unnoticed. Despite being able to observe Jesse’s group from blocks away, he gets the idea to possess Vos in order to interact with Jesse indirectly.

—When possessed, Vos can see and hear everything going on, but is unable to move or speak freely. The admin is in complete control as if he were in his own body. Romeo and Vos can hear each other’s thoughts. This allows Romeo to better pretend to be Vos since he can simply react in accordance with what Vos is thinking. Some examples:

“That doesn’t even make any sense!” -‘Vos’ to Jack after he brags about having instincts “better than nine ocelots tied together.” (Vos’ reaction in his mind was confusion and Romeo agreed. They share a moment of ??? “Do you know what he’s saying?” “No, he’s just always like this-”)

“Not everyone here might be… up for the task.” -‘Vos’ to Lukas and Radar in the icy palace. (After witnessing the death of a close friend with years of adventuring experience, Vos is afraid that bringing in outsiders is a bad choice. Not that he doesn’t believe in them, he’s just worried that a challenge of this magnitude is an awful starting place for someone to prove themself. Romeo twists this fear and uses it to degrade Radar and Lukas and actively divide the group to Vos’ dismay.)

“You just can’t stop putting me in cages, can you??” -‘Vos’ to Romeo (as Snomeo) after being locked in the offside chamber in the escape room challenge. (Vos is actually just done with the admin at this point and that was his genuine reaction.)

—Petra gives Vos her spare iron sword when the group is protecting Jesse from the charged creepers. This is the same iron sword she was using in the start of the season when Stella had Ms. Butter.

[TLDR: Minecraft Story Mode where everything is the same except Vos survives being trapped in the Sea Temple for the decade. Rather than assuming the form of Vos, Romeo instead possesses him and uses Jack’s friendship with Vos to study the group. Chaos and shenanigans ensue as the brita filter man is puppeteered by god himself.]

Um. What's your headcanons on what kind of games (videogames, tabletop, whatever) do you think each one of the mekadan is into? I think i went into a lot of detail already regarding Shintaro and Kano (so sorry for projecting into them sksksksksskssk), but i really would like to know what another would think? Feel free to go into as much detail on Takane as you wish, you deserve it and i live to hear your rambles on her.

god i actually dont know bc im not a gamer girlie like miss cyber girl ene... i think takane plays everything pretty much. ofc more the shooters as we know but is probably pretty knowledgeable on a bunch of things, i think she especially loves horror and based on her canon fave movies (the godfather 2 and the clockwork orange) she's probably rly into games with an ongoing story, abt crime specifically. like yakuza and gta and all that stuff

i dont think seto plays any videogames and he gets frustrated easily when he plays with everyone. when mekatrio+ayano mario kart he is dead last like TRAGICALLY last. kano i dont have strong opinions but i liked ur hcs about him being into strategy games and hiding it a bit. i also think he'd like graphic novels... and he'd be the kind to watch lets plays instead of actually playing a game too. also hiyori i dont see her playing anything. maybe the sims too bc the awesomest girls play the sims

for haruka he rly plays everything like same as takane theyre the gamer couple ok. they play every single game ever and probably make icebergs together abt obscure videogames. they look for the weirdest most obscure game they can find and just do that for a friday night activity. other than that i think haruka also rly enjoys games like animal crossing and the sims and stardew valley etc. like for takane i think she plays those but gets bored pretty easy she just speedruns thru them and is frustrated theres no action and haruka Gets it more. though they both love minecraft❤️ the yuukei quartet minecraft server is real because it meets all of their conditions for games. i think ayano and shintaro want creative mode because theyre both into making their houses and being at peace and dont want Scary Surprises while haruka and takane prefer survival bc THATS GAMING!! so they always argue abt it lol. i think ayano could be into survival too but i think her reflexes suck LOL SHE JUST WANTS TO MAKE A TREE HOUSE.

haruka mentions being a little baby abt zombies so hes a baby abt horror to me. but he also says he pretty much gets over it after getting addicted to dead bullet soooo i think he can also enjoy horror games, just maybe not by himself. i think haruka and takane choose some horror game and keep arguing about the lights because haruka wants them on cuz hes scared and takane wants them off because That's How Horror Games Are Meant To Be Played

Wow, that’s certainly a blast from the past. It has been… 5 years since that blog I believe ? And honestly, I do miss writing the chainsmoker scruffy wolf at times but the Fables rpc was never too big and the TWAU turned into something that left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m forever grateful for meeting people like Kay (another Bigby rper whom is a wonderful writer and an amazing person) and actually talk to some of the people involved in the comic adaptation of TWAU. Maybe I should pick him up again, he was so much fun to write – and, of course, have him open to all sorts of fairy tales and his modern verse.

Bigby comes from a comic book series called Fables, part of the Vertigo printing line that belongs to DC Comics, the same that published Sandman and Constantine originally. The comic series got many accolades throughout the years, winning fourteen Eisner Awards (with best new series in 2003 and serialized stories in 2003, 2005 and 2006) and was also nominated for three Hugo Awards for Best Graphic Story. Eventually it got a video game prequel by Telltale Games (the same as the Walking Dead and Minecraft Story Mode) called The Wolf Among Us. It also got a novel, 3 spin-offs and some graphic novels along the way. Fun fact : at the time there was a lowkey talk about the ABC's series Once Upon a Time plagiarizing Fables but it was never confirmed or denied, it was just speculation as they are very similar in some aspects and the timing certainly feel suspicious.

Bigby is the Big Bad Wolf of the fairy tales, the rut of the litter between a she-wolf and the North Wind, meaning that he is half-elemental and that’s why he was so unusual. His father abandoned his mother and his older brothers were bullies, so he swore to get a larger prey every day until he became the biggest and strongest beast of all the lands. “Bigby” was supposed to be an ironic name given to him by his brothers. All the evil wolves from fairy tales ? Yes, that was him. The one from the Three Little Pigs ? The one from Red Riding Hood ? That’s all him.

The fairy tale world … Think of something similar to Kingdom Hearts: there are many interconnected worlds that they call Homelands. Each Homelands are separated, but it is possible to travel along them if you know how to pull that off. And despite all the monsters and evil witches everything was more or less “chill” until a tyrant known as “The Adversary” started conquering all the lands and ravaging every simple place that tried to rise against them. In order to escape The Adversary and his forces, the inhabitants of the Homelands found a world without magic – our world. So they traveled across to our world and settled in New York City back when it was first funded and they live in a hub they call “Fabletown”, trying to blend in with human society. When they were trying to escape, Bigby was actually attacking the camps of the Adversary’s troops and rescuing the prisoners, taking them to the portals. One of the people that he helped was Snow White. Eventually he too was overwhelmed by the army and had to flee, hiding in a Carpathian forest for a while (and chilling with Dracula) when Snow came to him and invited him to join the other exiled people. Of course that a 5-7 foot tall wolf isn’t exactly “discreet” and she brought a cursed dagger that turns men into wolves so maybe the reverse would work ? And it did. Because he was very strong and heal very fast he became the “sheriff” and the one who had to keep everybody safe. Of course a lot happens during the series, we learn for example that he trained Cinderella to be pretty much a female James Bond to go around the world in missions; that he went to WWII to maul a few Nazis (and he also fought Frankenstein’s creature. In his own words “it was epic”) and many other things. He is also in love with Snow White but wouldn’t tell her (although I also ship him with the Little Mermaid that appears in the game).

They recently confirmed the Season 2 of The Wolf Among Us after so many years and it was postponed. I wish the best for the team, I don't mind it being delayed if that means they'll have a good time making it. There was also the god-awful spin-off Bigby vs Batman that belongs in the trash (with certain Fables storylines that I'm not going to go into detail) and there is a new volume that started... In 2021 I think ?

tl;dr I still love the grumpy wolf and I'd love to write him again sometime. Maybe I should revive him here.
