TMNTOSNS Masterpost (WIP)
Thirteen years ago a big explosion assaulted the ears of millions of New Yorkers. Debris destroyed entire neighborhoods, Green Clouds of toxic gas covered the streets for weeks, and terrible monsters were born. Mutants, the volatile and dangerous, completely unpredictable. Some of them were feral, violent, and crazy; others were smart and talkative, but still crazy. It didn't matter what type they were however, they were all a threat to society, to humanity. Segregated from humans into the streets ruined by the tragedy, or hunt down and killed, it didn't take two years for mutants to disappear from the city that never sleeps, but they weren't actually gone. And humans were proven fools for thinking they were. After a decade-old silence, the dangerous, scary mutants are on the news again and this time they wouldn't stand the violence against their kind. A particular group of turtle siblings and their crazy redhead human friend are set in the case to change people's minds about mutants, while also falling head first into the mystery behind the actual creation of mutants. Who owned the destroyed lab? Who created the mutagen? How are the mystic Yokai involved in all this mess?
...how is Dad involved in all of this..?

Thales finally giving his little AU a name?? AND a masterpost ???? what a miracle,,
This au is heavily inspired in ROTTMNT and TMNT 12 with almost invisible sprinkles of Bayverse (believe it or not lmao-), and it will focus mostly in family bonding, self-discovery and friendship, while also focusing a lot on the mystery. Elements of mystic weapons and reincanation are here too.
It's still very undercooked for now I know, but I created it mostly for fun and just started giving it lore now, so I'm taking my time :_)
I'm not a very good writer and my english is a bit wonky, but I'm trying my best.
I'll be updating this post with links with other important informations like character sheets, comics, writen snippets, etc.
I'm already working on Splinter's character sheet and doing concepts for other characters as well !!!
Any questions about them are very welcome too, so don't be shy if u have one !! :)
Some things I have to say too are:
I'm not a japanese speaker, so if u notice any name or Kanji are writen wrong/awkwardly I'd love you to death if u warned me about it <3
heads up about Donnie/Raph: I'm not a doctor of any kind and the research about their disabilities was done by me alone using just the internet during a lot of hours. I want them to be good rep and if anything I say/draw about them feels ofensive or wrong, don't feel afraid to tell me!! I want to learn more and improve.
heads up about Lavinia: Diferent from Raph, she starts the history while still being an egg (not out as trans yet), so she will be called by he/him and Leonardo in some comics/writen snippets. I'll probally add a note warning about that in those cases, but wanted to give this little warning anyways :)

Batman: Ninja
Disappointment in America, famous in Japan
As someone who started reading the Batman series a few years ago, with detective comics added to that reading schedule, it probably comes as no surprise that I entered the film with big expectations. Even if the movie turned out kind of mid, it would be a slam-dunk animated action film that would make me love Batman anywhere, at any time. I was certain that it couldn't disappoint.
I was disappointed.
For context, fanservice, according to Wikipedia, is material in a work of fiction or in a fictional series that is intentionally added to please the audience, often sexual in nature, such as nudity. I suppose that might explain why my screen was coated in DC vomit with Feudal Japanese aesthetic paper stickers blocking my view of any logic or reason. Like most fanservice, I'm not supposed to actually understand it, I'm supposed to laugh and masturbate with my friends as they point at Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, saying they recognize them from a doushinji. I'm not saying I didn't do that, I'm saying that if I had known the movie would be all over the place, I would've just watched Gotham by Gaslight to save time and hand cramps.
Batman Ninja is about Batman fighting a Gorilla, then the Joker. That's the TL;DR version since most Batman movies end up that way. It's actually about Batman being sent back in time so he can be told over and over again that he's completely useless without money and fancy machines, but he can change that by being a magical ninja. That's the second TL;DR, in case you think Batman sucks and isn't as cool as Superman. It's also about every character from the Batman universe showing and wearing time-appropriate clothes and using feudal Japan weapons, but only before the giant robots show up. That's the last TL;DR, because you either get the gist or you think the movie sounds much cooler than it is, in which case I welcome to watch it before coming back. You'll have two scenes worth talking about with your friends and nothing else good to say about it.
I wish I could say it was one of those movies that's taking a tour of Batman's cast and rogues gallery, but that describes Batman vs TMNT. This is more like one of those movies where a random guy with no familiarity with the series is put in charge, assigns characters in simple roles based on quick summary readings, and then yells at the 3d animation department that they aren't getting paid overtime. A 12-year-old could make this movie, but I'm pretty sure most twelve-year-olds know Batman was already a ninja, if a guy dressed in black sneaking up on people didn't make that incredibly obvious.
Since the story is already a wash, and the Joker is only added in to give both the movie and marketing some teeth, maybe the action is worth the watch? And it is. The choreography, the music, the animation; it feels like watching a masterpiece in kickass drama. I was so hyped when during the beginning watching Batman fight the Joker with the tricked-out Batmobile... and then losing somehow. And then being told over and over again that technology is bad, and that tradition is good, and that technology is bad, and that tradition is-
Later, the Joker, the gorilla, and the other DC villains ride in on giant mecha robots to fight each other over feudal Japan territory. Don't ask how they made those robots, or how the language barrier is gone, or worse, how they built giant robots while dealing with a language barrier. Just know that everyone of the villain characters not only did it, but all the machines actually fit together and can controlled with a wooden chessboard.
Yes. Seriously.
How does Batman fight them? Without any tech, it'll be a huge, perhaps cinematic, challenge to even- oh right! The monkeys can just work together to make a huge monkey man. Then the bats will help for some reason and make a gigantic Batman that is immune to fire. And that will be how they beat the Chessboard Mecha.
YES. SERIOUSLY.
here's a picture.
Now, there are two things I should go over before I put a lid on this ridiculous sham of a film.
One, Batman: Ninja was made for Japan with the specific purpose of introducing Eastern media to the sheer awesomeness of DC comics and the illustrious Batman who is notably tied to it. A lot of the scenes are meant to represent certain historical points in Fedual Japan, like the DC villains fighting for territory, or Joker taking over the Mecha (and the plot), not to mention the Monkeys and bats being summoned by nature gods. It was all meant to serve as subtext for Japan's history. Even the Mecha's are meant to represent Japan's weirdly advanced mechanical puppets from the 1600s. Was it worth it? Hell no. I'm not going to explain how 'story integration' because I shouldn't have to. If there is literally no connection between every historical nudge in the film and the plot of the movie, then you didn't write a Batman movie, you made an incomprehensible documentary and layered comic book shenanigans over it.
Which leads to my next point, my second thing. Why should I care? A man in a bat suit fighting a mind-control expert genius Gorilla, without guns for personal reasons, is insanely stupid in itself. Why can't I just enjoy the film as it is? My response to that is... I tried. The reason I'm even mad is that I tried. Even with the crap plot, it's hard not to see something like this as... enjoyable fluff, but in reality, is indigestible slop. There are too many what-if moments that go unanswered and far too many WTF moments that go unanswered. It just goes beyond being tolerable or acceptable; it can't be fixed with one moment of Batman turning into a semi-literal Batman. I'm still pissed off by that, by the way. All that build up and we don't see how they changed, what their time did to them, what the point of all the modern world bashing was supposed to be. All it says is that ninjas are cool... if you don't know what a ninja is.
Batman: Ninja is a disappointment. Not too much of a disappointment to stop them from making a sequel, but a disappointment all the same. Seeing it makes me cringe and reminds me why I began to lose interest in Batman movies. People see themselves in the Batman characters too much, characters who are supposed to define instability and impatience with the current world. So instead of stories about how their inherent character fails them and others, we get stories about how some characters weren't that bad, or how they have something in common with historical figures, or how they weren't that great in the first place but if they'll get better if they become a magical ninja. It's bullcrap that a film with this good animation and budget is somehow still a trashy, surface-level toy sales pitch.
I hear the Batman Ninja Manga is good though.

I don't think about the far future of DDMG (as in the stuff that happens after the main story is concluded) much compared to the rest of the au. Part of it is I want to see how these characters grow and change, so how their story end feels organic and earned, and if my ideas are set in stone there might not be enough wiggle room for that to happen.
I have an idea of what jobs the Turtles will have. Leo becomes a park ranger, Raph works in turtle conservation, Donnie is a scientist and has a lot of projects he's working on at once, and Mikey goes into animation and makes his own comics. April gets into investigative journalism, and Casey runs a mechanic shop + is April's cameraman.
I've got vague ideas of their relationships and if they have kids:
Leo adopts two girls, Lita and Yumi. He adopts Lita first, but Yumi is older. I don't know if he's dating anyone, or who that'd be, and the answer often changes. DDMG's Usagi is the main contender right now, who I think is related to Miyamoto but I've not figured out how exactly.
Raph adopts Chompy after Tokka dies in a work accident - they were on a boat, and they got hit by a bad storm. Chompy was very young when it happened, and Raph makes sure that Chompy remembers his mama loved him. Raph also marries Mona, but I flip flop between them dating as teenagers, or meeting after Raph adopts Chompy. They go on to have more kids, and Chompy loves being a big brother.
Donnie I don't know right now, so I'm going to see how his relationships with other characters develops. May end up with April and Casey, someone else entirely, or with no one at all.
Kinda like the idea of Mikey dating Woody and Renet. Don't know if those two are also dating, or if they're friends who are both dating Mikey. For a while, I didn't think Mikey would have kids, mostly cause I imagine him enjoying being the fun uncle, but I recently remembered the TMNT short set in the future (think it was called Teenge Mecha Ninja Turtles or something?) and the kids in that. Mikey essentially pulls a Splinter and accidentally adopts four kids. After he's done panicking, which is in no small part due to an emegency phone call to rat dad who calms him down, his brothers lightly tease him for it ("How do you 'accidently' adopt four kids?" "Shut up Leo.")
Bonus:
April and Casey have Shadow, who is a ball of energy. Her and Chompy are about the same age, and get into a lot of mischief together. She has her uncles, grandpa Kirby and grandfather Splinter wrapped around her little finger.
Robyn, Casey's little sister, becomes a vet and takes over from Socorro when their grandmother eventually retired. Has a son with an ex-boyfriend, and eventually dates her roommate, Ananda.
I've not figured out what happens with Venus yet, but she takes over Tseng's monster themed tourist trap/ tea shop.
Miwa and Shinigami had twins: Izumi and Yoshi. A few years later, they have another child, Hana. Miwa is a locksmith and runs a dojo with her brothers + extended family.
#tmnt#tmnt 2012#tmnt au#dead doesn't mean gone au#i'd say splinter got emotional when he met little yoshi#but to be honest he gets emotional when he mets all his grandkids for the first time#and/or the first time they call him grandfather

My designs for 2012 Jhanna and Kala!
I feel it would’ve been fun if we got more classic female tmnt characters into the 2012 series and with them literally traveling into outsider space, it was wasted potential to bring back these iconic alien women! Jhanna from 2003 and Kala from 1987.
Jhanna in my version is a Daagon (remember the cosmic ocean the Turtles visited?), and is the daughter of Queen Hiidrala, making her the princess of the Daagons! Jhanna is a very proud princess, cares deeply about her people. She highly looks up to her mother along with the general of their army. She’s a fighter, believing a good leader should stand by their solider side in battle. Jhanna is also a very curious woman, always amazed to meet new people beyond her ocean paradise but still cautious and will bite you if you do her wrong (careful her teeth are sharp and can tear through steel). I’d say her character is a mix of Kida from Atlantis and Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Her color scheme consists of purple and light blues, with dark blue eyes.
The Neutrinos already exist in the 2012 series, being microscopic aliens that invade Mikey’s mind. My friend @pumpkinpie59_art and I have always been bothered by the fact we were robbed of Kala, Dask and Zak making a comeback so I thought of the idea of what if the 2012 Neutrinos are just Mecha Suits that Kala and the others wear in battle that help them grow and shrink in size? Think of it like the power ranger suits. Kala is cunning and clever, very dedicated to her job and talents as a thief. She and her team don’t care who they work for (good or evil) as long as they get paid, they’ll help you. She loves her teammates Dask and Zak, seeing them as her own crazy dysfunctional family.
For Kala’s design, I did a reverse of her 87 color scheme, with her hair and eyes now being black and her skin being green.
Also here’s some height comparisons. I made Jhanna taller than I originally said she was.

There's been a lot of talk recently about how hard it is to get into comics, and I just want to throw in my two cents.
If it's a number one, you can start there. number ones are designed to be starting points and if you feel like you can't start there, then the writer didn't do their job right.
you can pick a number one and never have to read a comic older then that. Backreading is a hope of the comic industry, not an expectation.
It can be easy to feel like you need read every comic they've ever been in. You don't. In fact some character are impossible to read every issue they've just been in to many, reading them all would be physically impossible.
if a comic fan tells you not to read a run because it's bad, you can read it anyway. There's rarely a universally agreed upon conclusion if a run is good or bad. That's true of every medium and you're free to make your own opinion about a series.
You don't have to be put of be recommended reading lists that seem way too long, or how many different series have your chosen character's name attached to it.
Just pick a number one and run with it ton your heart's content. And if you don't like that number one there's plenty more to choose from.
And if you're still put off by the interconnetedness of everything, or too much backlog or whatever, try a publisher that isn't DC or Marvel.
IDW hash been publishing some great Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles comics, they just finished a 150 issue run that had some tie- ins and side series. But they're launching a new number one in October in the same continuity so new readers can have a clear place to jump onto, without the need to back read the previous run. You can if you want to, 150 issues is certainly more manageable then trying to read all of Batman, but it's not an expectation.
Boom! Studios just finished a their Power Rangers series. I think it's similar to tmnt being a main run with tie ins. I haven't read it, but I've heard good things.
Image just started an all new Transformers continuity that if you started this month would only have ten issues to back read.
And these are all just recognizable franchise names, who knows what else you might find that suits your taste that's more niche. I just started The Last Mermaid from Image. It's about a mermaid using a water filled mecha to cross a barren post-apocalyptic wasteland. I don't know how I found it, but I love it. And it's all under a single title. who knows what else there is hiding out in the indie comics.
I won't lie, comics can be complicated, every medium has it's pros and cons. And complicated continuity is definitely a con comics have gotten famous for. But sometimes readers makes them seem more complicated then they actually are.

Big thanks to @dvandom, check out what arrived today!
It's these guys!
I got two packs, one a single figure pack (the black armored guy) and one a figure-and-many-critters-in-blind-bags pack:
First up, these guys are solid examples of essential toy design. The armor suits have a whopping 2 points of articulation (shoulders), they use the same sculpt, and the figures are single pieces. There appear to be some fancier suits in the line, but that doesn't matter, because that's all you really need.
These guys are heavy, solid, practically indestructible by modern toy standards, and a great example of how five chunks of plastic (body, two arms, weapon and head/critter) can be amazing if applied correctly.
The gimmick comes down to the little dudes, who serve as goblin-like stackable critters on their own, or when plugged (very solidly) into the suit by two foot-pegs, they resemble either a fantasy mecha pilot or a warrior in armor, depending on the creature.
My blind-bags landed me duplicates of the frog (awesome) and one of the ice critters. I got zero guys from the stone element, but that's blindbags for ya.
The critters are about the size of Real Ghostbusters ghosts, and all stand very solidly, both on their own feet and on each others' heads, with just enough slickness under their feet to make them topple and scatter satisfyingly when knocked over.
Blindbag minis are solid, pack-in-pilots are translucent. It's all good. Apparently they have their own "sunburst" figure in the form of a gold chase fig. All good.
They pack in at a hefty TMNT size or a stocky but short MOTU scale, and have a more-or-less 4mm grip that lets them hold some long-handled MOTU weapons. their weapons are very heavy (PVC) and slightly slimmer, so it's a loose fit going the other way.
Any kid that likes fantasy and monsters is going to love what Schleich is serving up, and these aren't as pricey and are nicely toyetic compared to their normal upscale offerings. Toy collectors will find a lot to like about the aesthetics and build quality.
My Druthers:
No toyline is perfect, and in the off chance someone at Schleich is out there 1) I have a great minifigure line that has your name written all over it, about 20 sculpts already done, and, more seriously 2) there's just a couple of tricks missed here that could really push this to an S-rank line.
I think its missing a trick to have the translucent minis to only as pack-in pilots. GitD or glitter-suspension plastics, anything that makes the material into a part of the gimmick, should be part of the blind-packs. Not as chases, but as wave-specific themes.
I'd like to see a backpack-ledge on the armor suits's backs so extra guys can ride along. Or foot-pegs on the shoulder-armor, something akin.
Hopefully, future waves will add more body sculpts and keep the same shoulder engineering so, more variety can be maintained over the line's lifespan via part-swapping.
That is praising with faint 'well I'd have-', however. Very cool line, very cool gift. And a thorough review seems like the least I can give.
You have indeed, cheered up the robot.
Have you seen Schleich’s Eldrador line? Besides some legit cool elemental monsters, there’s also these little head guys that can pilot robot suits with translucent spikes and interchangeable symbols. There’s not much lore because that’s just not how Schleich does things, but their designs have gotten pretty rad lately.
Schleich is delivering solid effort in this mostly bleak era of toy dev. I haven't checked out these particular ones, but there's a bunch of their monsters I'd love to have, but can't ever quite justify grabbing on the price level.
Not because it's not worth it, Schleich is like Lego in my experience, worth the extra cost in quality and care. I'm just broke.
I'm going to have to keep my distance on that one because that thing is designed to snag my magpie brain from what I've just seen: magic elemental headmasters-by-way-of-Crazy Bones with tons of clear plastic energy/crystal bits?
Yeeeaaaah... That's dangerous.
youtube
I can only really focus on one figure line for my own special-interest wrangling safety, so right now I'm on MOTU origins for the forseeable. I very easily could have gotten pulled in by Schleich's fantasy, but the line that routinely gets clearanced for $10 a pop is my dance partner.
Hasn't stopped me from putting a couple of the things on my cheer-up-the-robot-list tho.

I don't know if you're still interested in the Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles short (but if you aren't, feel free to ignore this message), but I noticed that the children are also named after more contemporary artists that relate to their heritage. Frida = Frida Kahlo, Basque = Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kusama = Yayoi Kusama, Jackson = Jackson Pollock. As an art major who barely passed art history, I got all giddy for recognizing the names! Thought this might be fun to share!
holy shit the artist symbolism goes deeper
i’m kicking myself, that’s so great??? like i didn’t even know that stuff (art history was never my strong point, i was more the sort to do whatever the fuck i wanted in class and BS my way through everything else because **~art is interpretive~**), but i’m so pumped that it’s a thing!!
i’m so happy the creators of that short put so much thought into their work- the continuation of the artist names thing is really quite sweet, and shows how much they loved the story idea, (i love it even more now omg) not to mention that it states the races of each kid, which makes me even happier as a fan-writer. so much possibility, now that i’ve got canon info.
so yeah much thanks to you anon, i can work with so much more depth now that i’ve got this info. plus add jokes about fate since all the kids have artist names despite not being related (that we yet know)

Hello, yes, just here to say this short is amazing, I love it and I still want to see more of it.
TMNT Summer Short #1 Review
Ok so I don’t normally do this but I just had to do it fot this.
So the first Summer Short just dropped and it’s called called “"Teenaged Mecha Ninja Turtles”.
Yup you read that right.
Ok so it takes place in the future and it’s all standard fare. The Turtles are giant robots.
It’s pretty standards TMNT fare, they don’t work well as a team and they learn to do so at the end. Normal stuff.
That is until the last minute.
We see that they’re suits! And they’re controlled by…
This adorable kid called Kusana…
Basque (a POC! Played by Cyborg! That Cyborg!)
Jackson (I started laughing cuz he looks like a generic blonde anime boy)
And Frida! Look at that diversity!
Not only that…
Mikey’s the Sensei! How fucking cool is that???
Overall this was a giant AU and I loved it.

Gale’s Top Ten: Favorite Akuma
Rules:
1. The Akuma must have been Canonically Akumatized in the show and Shown. (I.E. I won't be having any Comic book (which I don't read so no big deal) or Fan akuma)
2. The akuma must have been akumatized without Scarlet Moth involvement. (that means Rena Rage and Shell shock are out)
3. The akuma must be see in their akumatized state and full on transform (so no Princess Justice or Verity Queen. No Destructor etc)
Aside from that, I will be judging them based on their Impact, Episode, appearance, powers, motive, Fights and my personal enjoyment of them.

10. Santa Claws
I love Dabbing Evil Santa. He is here solely because of Personal enjoyment
I love the gimmick that he SANG his introduction, I love the Grinch Green Skin and the details on his belt. I also enjoy that he is just an evil Santa causing trouble. His Motivation for akumatization Makes sense as he is unjustly treated like crap by everyone and even gets attacked by Ladybug because she mistook him for a kidnapper.
Whether he is the real Santa or not is a mystery and while people are mixed on the Christmas special, he is my favorite part of it.
9. Kwami Buster
When there’s something strange, in your neighborhood. WHO YA GONNA CALL!?
Anyway, I really like the ghostbuster/ mad scientist vibe Kwami Buster has. She also is in one of the best written episodes of season 3. Her motivation from embarrassment and drive to prove her theory is great motivation, and she is one of the biggest threats to the heroes of Paris (while not so much everyone else.) She has a decent power set and overall is just fun to watch on screen.
8. Zombizou
The patchwork design, that sweet yet ominous look. Her whole persona. Zombizou is an interesting akuma. While a LOT of salt is thrown her way, I think people forget how much fun a zombie episode can be. Her power to spread Love via kisses quickly over runs Paris in a matter of minutes (resulting in Hilarious moments and touching ones) Ladybug and Chat noir are mostly playing catch up when dealing with her. Her motivation, which is her protecting her student is actually a first, and she actually tries resisting the akuma. this was a FIRST in the series. So I am putting one of my favorite akuma from season 2 here.
7. Gamer
While design wise, The Gamer is so-so. One can't deny that his fights aren't the most hype. His first appearance while his reasoning is a mixed bag, his giant mecha battle is fun on a bun. And his Gamer 2.0 episode is the best 2.0 no contest. The gamer is this high on the list for having the most fun battles
6. DarkOwl
The best akuma of season 2, the best episode of season 2, and one of the closest to getting the Miraculous. Many fail to really grasp how epic Dark Owl is. His motivation is one of the most understandable in the series, his akuma inspiration is a riff on old batman comics and they really go ham with it. His clash with Ladybug and Chat noir is creative and put the two in a corner. It is quite a feat, turning the goof into a Threat. I also like how Ladybug and Chat noir were actually trying to help him live out his dream instead of simply telling him off. This akuma has a lot of heart and really deserves more love
5. Oblivio
While design wise, Oblivio is probably the most plain and the motivation for the akuma is laughable, their powers, episode, impact and the personal enjoyment they gave me are all very high. This Akuma was effective and had Chat noir and Ladybug on the ropes. This is one of the most one sided fights that the heroic duo has against a single akuma. The ability to make people forget who they are is disturbing and incredibly powerful. Their actions in the first half of the episode made them appear like a monster or predator on the hunt for the weakened and vulnerable teens. It was something out of a suspense thriller.
4. Volpina
Be honest, when the word Akuma comes to mind, Volpina is one of the first villains that pops up. Volpina’s motivation, power set, personality, and Impact on the series is massive. Her appearance allowed for the events of season 2 to kick off, and she was a fan favorite for a while. People were Obsessed with her. While she use to be my second favorite akuma in the past, she loses out to the top three people in the spot. But she is still one heck of an akuma and likely one of the most malicious ones out there.
3. Stormy Weather
When the Word Akuma pops up, she is one of the first ones you see when googling. She is also arguably one of the single most powerful akuma with her power to control storms and apparently volcanos. Her confidence and personality SHINE through in her intro episode. Her design is my second favorite of all of the akuma in season 1. She was robbed in Stormy Weather 2.0. She deserved SO MUCH BETTER. Her episode is home to the most crisp animation in the series, so it is always a delight to watch. I love both the English dub and French dubs of her character. Mela Lee especially, She really nails the over the top villainess dialogue. You can tell she is having a ball with it.
2. Evillustrator
My favorite Akuma design in the series, The look, the style, the powers. His motive. Evillustrator nails it all down pact. Nathaniel’s akuma persona is how he dreams of his hero identity. His akuma is also the most unique in terms of personality. He is more of a take charge version of himself, just with a bit more malicious tendencies towards Chloé. The character he demonstrates in this one episode makes it such a crime that we don't see much of him until later and THEN he is regulated to the sidelines. He even promises not to hurt Chloé if Marinette goes to his birthday party. We even get to see what happens when akuma try and go against Hawkmoth. Also this episode is responsible for Marichat.
I recomend watching the English Dub for this episode. 2003 Tmnt fans will recognize him as the voice of Leonardo, and fans of the cheesy show Kappa Mikey will recognize him as Mikey Simon. Michael Sinterniklaas has a nice voice and when he reassures Marinette of things, nice.
Or you can watch the Japanese Dub if you really want to notice a difference in Nathaniel and Evillustrator’s personas. Like damn, Hiroshi Kōsaka Really makes Evillustrator sound like a Shojo Protagonist. Freaking kudos.
1. Chat Blanc
Don't you f***ing judge.
I adore Chat Blanc. The akumatized Chat noir really just strikes a chord with me. Bar none, the most powerful akuma with the most tragic motivation. The akuma the destroyed the world. Bryce Papenbrook really let his anime dubbing experience show. You could swear Erin Yeager was watching his mother get eaten by a titan when Chat noir was getting turned.
Chat blanc is a tragic warning that etches itself into Ladybug’s psyche, a threat so big that Bunnix needed to get involved. The scale of the fight is set.
The clash in the destroyed Paris with Ladybug is the best fight choreography in the series. While the episode is a very split point for some, it held a TON of emotional tension. Chat Blanc’s design takes inspiration from a Blue eyed white cat, Which fun fact, are deaf as a birth defect. This was a symbol as that he was unable to hear Ladybug’s reason. Chat Blanc was out of reach.
Also, he can just DESTROY EXISTENCE! Like yikes Hawkmoth, didn't think to put a limit on that?
There are so many fanfic interpretations of Chat blanc LONG before he became a thing, but NONE of them encapsulated the Tragedy and Awe that Chat Blanc truly brings.

I saw someone else talk about this, but I was gonna ask you, what are your thoughts on Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles? It was that Sumer short that I really wish Nickelodeon did more with like comics or a show (there were petitions that were made to support the idea). It would have given use new characters and different plot lines while still remaining true to the original story and it was just a super cool concept that they should pick up one day.
Oh! You mean this one?
I thought it was really cool! Granted, it would take a lot to make it into a series and I'm sure there would be fans who'd complain (there always are), but I'd watch it if it was good! I thought the short was cool and I like the concept. It gives the turtles (er, Mikey specifically) a chance to step back and be the teacher rather than the student.
I honestly loved the bits of world building the short was able to slip in. Like, there being mutants everywhere and it seems like humans and mutants get along relatively well in this universe, in the future of the turtles’ adventures, whichever series it may be, though I think this particular short was Tales of the TMNT (2012). The technological progression helps illustrate its probably at least the year 2050, maybe later. I also thought the animation and art style was really cute and fitting! The turtle mecha armor looks cool and I really like the designs, especially the purple one. It reminds me of Transformers Animated Bulkhead. Actually, the feeling of the mecha armor adds a vibe similar to Transformers which is probably why I like it so much.
They give me the same vibes. Two good, big softies who are smart in their own ways.
I can't really see it being a full-blown show, although I'm sure someone could do it in a way that’s really good, but I wouldn't mind a mini series or something for it!
