#good grief im gettin a lil tired of seeing 'DONT DO THIS' kinda art videos#i very much understand its a youtube thing and that clickbait names and thumbs get the views and attention needed#but it doesnt mean it doesnt annoy me or that I cant be annoyed by it#sometimes i just see it in tutorial pictures too#but the large DONTS with red Xs near the supposed ''wrong'' way of drawing is so demotivating#people start and draw in many ways than one#its what makes art their own#but when videos or tutorial posts are made and show the ''WRONG'' way to go about it#its like scolding the new artist or long time artist with that style that they're doing it wrong and that its bad#no matter the intention its not the way to go about helping artists learn to draw#and in my personal opinion#the click bait ''DONT DO THIS WHEN DRAWING'' thing is what keeps me from actually watching the vids#i get theyre probably helpful but i don't like that I have to feel some NEED or DESIRE to click on a vid cause I feel like I did a thing#wrong or that i never should have done it at all#i wish i could see more 'here are some tips that helped me#kinda vids cause yes i would love to learn what helped you rather than being or feeling wronged for drawing in a way that isn't theirs#im rambling but i have been seeing a lot of 'DONT DO THIS' NEVER DO THIS' 'IF YOURE DOING THIS STOP NOW' kinda art vids#im speakin for myself here#but im an artist sifting through art youtube or spaces always willing to learn new ways of improving my art#i dont need to feel click baited like the next 3am don't this kid to learn how to improve my inking skills#if it was more a 'this is my personal preference and I wanna share it with my audience and maybe teach some things' kinda vid#id watch that too#but im just so tired of seeing art youtube going down this need to tell folks 'YOURE DOING IT ALL WRONG. [Video: fan animation focusing on Charlie and Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel set to audio from the New Girl episode “Dice.”
Charlie has her hands clasped in front of her chest as she looks down to the side with a worried frown and says, “I don’t wanna hurt their feelings.”
Lucifer raises an eyebrow and incredulously begins to repeat, “Hurt their feel—” He then cuts himself off, leaning forward and gesturing to the side angrily as he asks, “You just walk around all day thinking about other people’s feelings?”
Charlie leans down slightly to look at her father, palms facing out toward him as she responds, “Yeah, don’t you?”
Lucifer looks puzzled. “No,” he bluntly replies, to which Charlie frowns with widened eyes. She looks away with her hands now to her chest as Lucifer raises his arms up to each side and continues, “How do you get anything done?”
Crossing her arms, Charlie looks off to the side, sounding somewhat upset as she admits, “It’s hard!”
Lucifer closes his eyes and taps his forehead with his cane as if frustrated while saying, “Okay, Charlie, how can I put this?” A note in the video corrects the original name in the dialogue, “Jess,” to Charlie’s instead.
Lucifer moves his cane to his mouth as he looks down in thought before he looks up with a grin and continues, “You’re the prize here. Okay?”
The perspective shifts to show Crymini and Arackniss on a couch in the background under a “Welcome” banner, Crymini perched upon an arm while angrily waving a hand and complaining about an irritated Arackniss’s smoking. The spider demon takes a puff from the cigarette and blows into the other sinner’s face, causing Crymini to recoil and Niffty to climb up the back of the seat to stare at Arackniss before she grins and pulls out a fire extinguisher. Arackniss has a brief moment to look startled before Niffty pulls the trigger, causing her to fly off from the pressure as foam covers the spider. Crymini, who had turned away to cough, jolts a little in surprise at what’s happening on the other end of the seat.
Lucifer looks back at them with a tight grin and furrowed eyebrows as he goes on, “You are the last piece of pie, and all of these guys are the fat kids in the cafeteria, and I can say that ’cause I used to be fat as a truck.” At this last part, he looks away unhappily before glancing down at his cane with a frown.
Hands clasped, Charlie looks down at her father with shining eyes and a grin as she asks, “You really think I’m the last piece of pie?”
Lucifer puts his arm around Charlie’s shoulders, pulling her in toward him as he taps his cane against her chest with a grin and enthuses, “Damn right you’re the last piece of pie!” He cups the side of his daughter’s face, and she places one of her hands over his as he smiles warmly at her and continues, “You’re the best girl on Dice, Jess. And who cares what these guys are feeling? You know, what do you feel? Jess, what do you want?” His gaze grows more tender, and Charlie looks at him with a small frown before she grins with a determined set to her eyes.
“I’m the pie,” she declares.
Lucifer looks up at her with a confident and encouraging grin as he affirms, “You’re the pie.”
Charlie clutches her hands into fists as she grins and repeats, “I’m the pie.”
“Say it again,” Lucifer responds.
Charlie looks up ahead and repeats, “I’m the pie.”
Lucifer cheers, “Say it again!”
Charlie stands up straight with her hands on her hips, looking up with a determined grin as she concludes, “I’m the pie.” Emphasis is put on the first word.
Lucifer proudly says, “There you go.” End description.]

I saw this moment is Gem’s castle video and knew I had to draw it. He’s just perched there and it’s so perfect, also the moment when he was so happy to get his wings was adorable. I love little pesky bird grian. Life’s been quite busy , and most of my free time has gone to sketchbook practice or writing (which is something new I’ve taken up). I’m only at around 6000 words so far but I like the direction it’s going. Not sure if I’m ever going to put it online if I do finish it, but maybe I’ll consider.
