Charlie has her hands clasped in front of her chest as she looks down to the side with a worried frown and says, “I don’t wanna hurt their feelings.”

Lucifer moves his cane to his mouth as he looks down in thought before he looks up with a grin and continues, “You’re the prize here. Okay?”

The perspective shifts to show Crymini and Arackniss on a couch in the background under a “Welcome” banner, Crymini perched upon an arm while angrily waving a hand and complaining about an irritated Arackniss’s smoking. The spider demon takes a puff from the cigarette and blows into the other sinner’s face, causing Crymini to recoil and Niffty to climb up the back of the seat to stare at Arackniss before she grins and pulls out a fire extinguisher. Arackniss has a brief moment to look startled before Niffty pulls the trigger, causing her to fly off from the pressure as foam covers the spider. Crymini, who had turned away to cough, jolts a little in surprise at what’s happening on the other end of the seat.

Lucifer looks back at them with a tight grin and furrowed eyebrows as he goes on, “You are the last piece of pie, and all of these guys are the fat kids in the cafeteria, and I can say that ’cause I used to be fat as a truck.” At this last part, he looks away unhappily before glancing down at his cane with a frown.

Hands clasped, Charlie looks down at her father with shining eyes and a grin as she asks, “You really think I’m the last piece of pie?”

Lucifer puts his arm around Charlie’s shoulders, pulling her in toward him as he taps his cane against her chest with a grin and enthuses, “Damn right you’re the last piece of pie!” He cups the side of his daughter’s face, and she places one of her hands over his as he smiles warmly at her and continues, “You’re the best girl on Dice, Jess. And who cares what these guys are feeling? You know, what do you feel? Jess, what do you want?” His gaze grows more tender, and Charlie looks at him with a small frown before she grins with a determined set to her eyes.

“I’m the pie,” she declares.

Lucifer looks up at her with a confident and encouraging grin as he affirms, “You’re the pie.”

Charlie clutches her hands into fists as she grins and repeats, “I’m the pie.”

“Say it again,” Lucifer responds.

Charlie looks up ahead and repeats, “I’m the pie.”

Lucifer cheers, “Say it again!”

Charlie stands up straight with her hands on her hips, looking up with a determined grin as she concludes, “I’m the pie.” Emphasis is put on the first word.

Lucifer proudly says, “There you go.” End description.]

I saw this moment is Gem’s castle video and knew I had to draw it. He’s just perched there and it’s so perfect, also the moment when he was so happy to get his wings was adorable. I love little pesky bird grian. Life’s been quite busy , and most of my free time has gone to sketchbook practice or writing (which is something new I’ve taken up). you nodded, then strode forward. you could hear the cameras turning, but it didn't matter. lando had taken off his helmet, and his back was to you as he talked to his race engineer.

it was now or never. you gave him a small tap on the shoulder. he whirled around so fast you almost toppled backwards. realizing it was you, his hands shot out and wrapped around your waist. "y/n? oh my god."

you gave him a shy smile, wrapping your arms around him. "told you it was good."

he buried his face in your neck, embracing you so tight you didn't know if he was capable of letting go. eventually, he did.

"so what did you have to tell me?"

you blinked at him slowly. "try to guess."

his eyes widened, as if a hope had come into him. "you won't laugh?"

a shake of your head. "promise."

"what are we, in grade school?" you deadpanned. you saw his heart plummet, then wanted to take back your words. "yes, lando. yes, i came all this way just to see your stupid face. yes, i like you. like that. like i can't get your smile out of my head and i'll stay up until 5 just to watch you hold an award. like i'll respond to you any time, because talking to you is-"

he raised one of his hands ever so slightly so he could pull you closer, so close his lips were on yours and you were cut off mid-sentence. you'd been waiting for this since you'd met him, you realized. since you'd first seen that curly mop of hair at dinner with liam and hannah. since the first time he'd laughed and you realized you'd never heard a prettier sound.

"i like you like that too."

and the cameras caught all that, words and kiss and pictures and all, but it was different. this was something you wanted to remember.
